"MAMORU, I SHOULD HAVE PUT YOU AND THAT WHORE YOU MARRIED TO THE SWORD THAT NIGHT. AFTER I DISPOSE OF YOU AND YOUR SPAWN, I WILL HUNT HER DOWN AS WELL," Utsuki's great uncle had no volume control it seemed.
"Uncle, please lower your voice. I would rather take your life with dignity, instead of with you acting like a child," given that he was about to kill a member of his family, Mamoru was very calm.
"WHO ARE YOU TO TALK ABOUT DIGNITY. YOU ABANDONED YOUR FAMILY, AND THE RESPONSIBILITIES THAT ENTAILED. YOU ABANDONED ALL OF NIPPON WITH YOUR ACTS. THE PENALTY FOR YOUR BROTHER'S TREASON OF RELEASING THAT BEAST IS YOUR EXECUTION."
"I don't know if this is going to be more of a mercy killing, or an actual fight. Tekeshi, get the girls out of here now."
Tekeshi started to pick up Utsuki as he followed directions, only to have a sword pass over his head. Slinging the unconscious body of his friend to Deesseedra he stood with his sledgehammer in his hand to face the man that had claimed his weapon.
"That is my sword. I would appreciate if you would return it to me, that way I don't have to bash your head in with my hammer here," the man did indeed smell like fermented milk.
The man drew into a very poor striking stance that in no way worked with the long odachi, "The Elder has dictated her sentence, and you are an outsider who has no place here, and should not know our location. You are a danger, and dangers must be elimi...," and Tekeshi just hit him in the mouth with the head of the hammer and caught Jakkasu before he could hit the ground.
"Strike, don't talk," he said as he felt his heart begin to pound.
He knew what that meant know. The hard, rhythmic, and even acceleration until it sounded like he had a V8 engine wound up past its rev limit where his heart should have been. The darkening red tint of his vision, even as it remained perfectly clear. It meant that Utsuki was in danger.
"I shot you in the head. Right after I crashed a Mercedes into you and made you bounce your skull off the concrete. You aren't human, so should I assume my traitorous cousin's daughter here isn't any longer. Regardless, it seems like it would be much more punishing to her if I kill you first," he felt something hit the back of his skull as she finished speaking.
"You shot me again. You are the one that hit me and her a week ago. You are going to die for that," he said as her turned to face a woman that looked like an older version of Utsuki.
"I see the shock on your face. You wouldn't believe how shocked I was when I tore that helmet off of her. Sadly she survived so I had to bring her back, even though I would have loved the thought of the despair it would have caused Mamoru. It might have brought him back alone for revenge, and father may have let me keep him and break him, and make him my own personal slave. All the fun I could have had with him."
Mamoru looked over and called, "That is my cousin Akui. Be careful, she is obsessed with me, and dangerous. Don't underestimate her."
"DON'T LET MY PERFECT DAUGHTER'S NAME INTO YOUR FILTHY MOUTH. YOU LOST THE RIGHT TO USE IT WHEN YOU REJECTED HER ALL THOSE YEARS AGO AND MARRIED THAT OUTSIDER WHORE."
"Hey, Mr. Shiraishi, are all of your family this wigged out," Tekeshi was already over it.
Mamoru shrugged as a shrine maiden handed the mad man a sword, "Thinking back to it, no. It really is just these two. To be fair though, him being this loud is a new thing to me."
"FIGHT ME."
The sudden flurry of strikes didn't elicit any emotion, or real effort from Mamoru. Each one was blocked with what seemed to be nothing more than the same strength as a gentle breeze. It continued for several minutes as Tekeshi squared up to the crazy woman.
"Hmmm, he is still so amazing with his sword. I can only imagine how good he would be with his shoto. The thought is just so exciting."
"Uh, Delicious Bloodsucker, I think that in my ability as a professional psychologist, she is a horny nutjob," Deesseedra said as she sat with Utsuki in her lap.
The vampire could only chuckle, "Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. I want to hear you scream as my blade parts your flesh. As your blood stains the ground. As the fear in your eyes reaches its apex. I want you to die in pain for harming Utsuki."
"Pot, meet kettle, meet other pot," the demon said deadpanned.
"A mere child, human or yokai, would never understand the love that I hold for him. He was just never ready for it. Then he left the village when his mother and father died, and only left his kid brother. I still had fun with him though. Granted he hadn't been really able to perform as Mamoru would have for several years, and he ruined that and got himself killed. Still, the thought that I had even one of his direct blood to please me at night, it made it bearable. He also seemed to take his punishments well in lieu of Mamoru," the woman revealed the true extent of her depravity.
Deesseedra gagged a little, "I am literally a man eating demon. I have preyed on the souls of men and women, on their bodies, and their essence. I have never fallen so hard as to treat a child like that. Even us demons have standards. I have killed and eaten them, but never straight up totured them. Delicious Bloodsucker, put this bitch in the ground. Especially for harming Lovely Mistress."
"Aren't you so cute with your pet names. Maybe after she gets put to the flames I can contract with you. I wonder how your most intimate areas would taste. I have tasted many of the yokai that I have slain, but it isn't as much fun when they don't have a pulse," Tekeshi could not believe he had actually found a bigger pervert than Machiko.
"You are, I, don't, I don't, I, I don't have anyway to describe..." he stopped as a bullet smacked into his teeth.
"Did I give you permission to speak to me. I did not. Ask f- ack..."
No one of the assembled crowd who had been watching not understand what had started so suddenly had seen him move and grab the woman by the throat and lift her up. They looked over to see their Elder running out of steam as he battered against his opponent. They had stayed compliant under the two of them after their previous village had been destroyed. They had watched as both fell further into straight on madness. No one had wanted to oppose them for fear of waking up dead. Seeing them now, they couldn't understand what they had been afraid of for so long.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE. DIE TRAITOR. YOU SERVE NO PURPOSE BREATHING. DIE LIKE TRASH LIKE YOU DESERVES TO."
"Uncle. I am so sorry that things had to come to this. I know how much you hated my father. I know you wanted my mother for your own bed. I see that Akui, she never had a chance to be anything but the same as you. How much has the rest of the Shiraishi suffered under you. It breaks my heart, and now your judgement must come. Tekeshi, end her before him," he said as he grabbed the old man by the arm and back of his head and forced him to look at the vampire holding his daughter.
Tekeshi drew back his sword but a stern voice stopped him, "Cease."
Unsteadily Utsuki got to her feet, "You, you were the darkness in my memory. You were the one that told him that we should be cursed. You took all the happiness from my childhood, I know your face like no other. Even forgotten for all these years, pushed past where I could remember it, seeing your face brings it back."
"Utsuki," Mamoru could say nothing but his daughter's name.
Standing straight she walked to Tekeshi and and put her hand on the arm holding the perverted bitch off the ground, "Release her, death won't be her punishment," as the woman fell she started making great moans of ecstasy.
"'Suki?"
"If she is so obsessed with sex, then constant orgasm until she can no longer reach it shall be her fate. She will have to live with knowing what she can never reach again. Also, any pain she inflicts, it will be visited on her most precious parts ten fold, and ten again every time," with that she collapsed into Tekeshi's arms.
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY AKUI YOU WORTHLESS SOW."
"I have heard enough of you Uncle. I pray that you find peace beyond this world," Mamoru said as he released him and brought his blade through his neck.
Utsuki was hazy as she woke up. A light drizzle was falling as she realized that she was being held in someone's lap. She couldn't quite figure out who it was as her vision cleared. She felt like she should know the face, but it didn't quite click.
"How do you feel my little moon," a familiar voice said.
"Daddy, is that you? You look, different," she said cautiously.
"It is. I am so glad that we at least got here with the most dramatic timing possible. Your friend there, things seem to work out in such a strange way around him. I am glad you found him. I know that you haven't had many real friends in your life, especially not ones that would put their lives at risk to help you like this."
Utsuki smiled softly, "I have never had a friend like him for sure. I don't know if my life would have ever been complete without him in it. Where is Deesseedra?"
"I am right here Lovely Mistress. Delicious Bloodsucker passed out not long after you did, right after you did something to that slut that tried to kill you," Deesseedra needed to learn how to read a room.
"Don't think about that right now. The village here is already planning on banishing her, and with your punishment for her, I doubt it will be long before she finishes dealing with the problem she presents herself. I never knew what she did to poor Masahiko. Now I understand why he said the punishment was upon this unworthy family that day. I should have taken him with me," tears started to roll down his face.
"Daddy, please don't cry. It won't change the past. I am so sorry, I know how I acted now, how I treated you and Mommy all those years. It's like a veil lifted when I did that to her. Wherever he is now, he can rest easy knowing that those two will never harm anyone of our blood again," Utsuki couldn't help but start crying as well.
"'Suki, are you ok," she didn't recognize Tekeshi's voice at first it was so soft.
She turned to see him leaning heavily on Jakkasu, looking haggard and worn out, "Tekeshi-kun. What, are you ok. Sit down, how did this happen," worry permeated her voice.
"I had a lot of power flooding my body the last week without Jakkasu, and unsealing like that, it was hard on me. Granted I didn't do much actually fighting in that state, but how long I held it wore me down some. Give me a few hours and a good meal and I should be fine," his words didn't inspire confidence.
Utsuki realized suddenly she had his jacket wrapped around her shoulders. Looking at Deesseedra she was unsuprised to find her prancing in her underwear without a care in the world. Looking over at Tekeshi again she wished she could do something to pay him back for coming for her, and thought of something.
"Tekeshi, come here," she told him.
Unsteadily he approached and knelt, "Yeah, 'Suki," and barely after he finished she put her wrist in his mouth and made sure that his fangs cut it.
The feeling was, different. It didn't hurt, honestly it felt divine. It wasn't something she had never experienced before in her life. In a way she didn't want it to end, and for a second she thought that Tekeshi might never stop. Eventually he did and the color in his face started to improve almost imediately.
"'Suki, what the hell were you thinking. Why would you do that," Tekeshi was concerned with the action.
"You are a vampire, blood is the best source of nourishment for you isn't it.?"
"Yes, but we don't typically drink it from the vein because we can become addicted to a single person's blood. Do you understand how dangerous it could be? What's so funny," he couldn't understand why the girl started laughing.
"You looked worse than I do, and you are more concerned with my health than yours. You are the best friend that I could ever have Tekehsi. Can we go home know," she said with a smile on her face.
"Screw that, we are going back to school. It is way safer than that house."
Tekeshi was setting Utsuki in the backseat of the jeep when Mamoru stopped him, "I am not going with you."
"Come again," Tekeshi asked the older man.
Mamoru walked over and leaned back against the vehicle, "I thought about it on the way down. I missed my family, not Uncle or Akui obviously, but there were many of the people I grew up with still up there. I want to make amends for my actions, and I want to earn a place for all of us here, if Utsuki ever decides that she forgives us and wants to come back to us. Can you get your father on the phone?"
Tekeshi gently sat the sleeping Utsuki in the passenger seat and took out his phone while dialing, "Hey Dad," it didn't take long for his father to pickup, "Mr. Shiraishi wants to talk with you. Yeah, we found her. She is a little rough. We are going to head for the school, most of her stuff is there now. Yeah, here he is."
Mamoru took the phone, "Mr. Aono. I know that you do not hold me and my wife in high esteem. Like I said before, I can't blame you for it. I know you have no reason to, but I want you to grant me a favor."
"What is it, and it better be reasonable," the voice on the other end of the line was cold as the artic.
"I plan to stay, and make amends with the remaining members of the Shiraishi family. I want to have a home again. I want Utsuki to have a home she can return to if she ever decides to. In the meantime, I want you to take care of Tamiko. She doesn't have to be deadweight, she holds a Bachelor's of Child Psychology from Tokai University, and was the top of her class. She hasn't had any work experience in the field, she pretty much was a stay at home mom after Utsuki was born. I also want the two of them to make up, and I think the best way for that to happen is for them to be in the same place.'
"That, you do understand what kind of place Yokai Academy is? Humans are not typically welcome, even Utsuki had to hide who she was from the staff. I don't know that I would be able to hide what your wife is, especially considering how much closer the staff works together compared to the students," Tsukune wasn't sure how to react to the request, and was glad that they weren't where they could see each other's face.
"I understand what you are, and that you hold major power within your world. After having met you and your son, I am starting to change my opinion on yokai. I want to try to change my family's opinion, and possibly bring peace between our worlds as best I can," he had made sure to walk a fair distance away from the teens so that Tekeshi shouldn't be able to hear, "Especially for the sake of our children. You have realized haven't you?"
"That they are so obliviously in love with each other. Yes. My wife, she hasn't had anything make her this happy since Tekeshi was a child and got a chicken leg stuck on his teeth. She thought it was so utterly adorable, and I can't really disagree. I want him to be happy, and to be able to live in the world that his mother, so many of our friends, and myself fought for years ago. That we had to cover it up, that so many people had to have their minds violated to hide it has haunted me to this day. I'll do it, for their sake."
Tekeshi couldn't help but look over at the sleeping girl in the passenger seat. She honestly looked horrible, and really didn't smell that great. He didn't care though, he thought she was beautiful to him. Sitting there wearing his leather jacket, almost lost in it, that was almost as big as she was. It was a perfect picture to him.
Hitting a bump as he shifted gears she slid over and her head landed on his shoulder. She didn't wake up, and seemed to breathe deeper and smoother, with a light smile on her face.
"Utsuki, I don't know if I could say it to you when you are awake. I couldn't even admit it to myself until now. I almost can't say it even now. I love you, and nothing, and no one, has every made me as happy as these last few months with you have."
He hadn't thought about Deesseedra being in Utsuki's aura. The demon wasn't an expert in human emotion. Demon's weren't supposed to be able to feel them. However something fluttered in her heart, something that she couldn't describe. It was something that she liked, but also something that made her feel, weird.
