The word Giant, first attested in 1297, was derived from the Gigantes of Greek mythology.
In various Indo-European mythologies, gigantic peoples are featured as primeval creatures associated with chaos and the wild nature, and they are frequently in conflict with the gods, be they Olympian, Hindu or Norse.
Giants also often play similar roles in the mythologies and folklore of other, non-Indo-European peoples, such as in the Nartian traditions.
There are also accounts of giants in the Old Testament. Some of these are called Nephilim, a word often translated as giant although this translation is not universally accepted. They include Og King of Bashan, the Nephilim, the Anakim, and the giants of Egypt mentioned in 1 Chronicle 11:23.
The first mention of the Nephilim is found in Genesis 6:4; attributed to them are extraordinary strength and physical proportions.
Fairy tales such as "Jack the Giant Killer" has formed the modern perception of giants as stupid and violent monsters, sometimes said to eat humans, while other giants tend to eat the livestock.
The antagonist in "Jack and the Beanstalk" is often described as a giant. In some more recent portrayals, like those of Jonathan Swift and Roald Dahl, some giants are both intelligent and friendly.
a rare disorder resulting from increased levels of growth hormone before the fusion of the growth plate which usually occurs at some point soon after puberty. This increase is most often due to abnormal tumor growths on the pituitary gland. Gigantism should not be confused with acromegaly, the adult form of the disorder, characterized by somatic enlargement specifically in the extremities and face.

Chapter 5
Giants
Location. Germany
Location. Black Forest. 25 miles away from Baden-Württemberg
We see an inspection camera come on. There were about three guys walking through a forest, and at the time right now it was dusk right about the time when the sun was setting. One guy groaned as they made their way through. "This is bullshit. I should be home by now."
"Yeah, I know why the hell did we get stuck with this one?" The guy holding the camera said.
"Komm schon, Jungs waren fast fertig für den Tag. Außerdem bekamen wir dafür Überstunden./Come on guys were almost done for the day. Plus were getting overtime for this." The third guy spoke in German and despite this, they understood what he was saying because they too knew how to say the language.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." The first guy agreed seeing his point. "Hey, are we even close to coming up to the place yet?"
"Ja. Es sollte genau hier oben kommen./Yeah. It should be coming right up here."
"Yeah, the hell was that?" The second guy who was holding the camera asked.
"Vielleicht ein kleines Zittern?/Maybe a small tremor?"
"Well, whatever that was, let's just go check out the damage." The first guy said as they eventually made their way to the clearing.
Up ahead they spotted the compound, it was basically a series of small buildings together along with a hangar for airplanes. As they moved, another tremor suddenly shook the ground, only this time, it felt much bigger as the three tried to keep their footing.
"Ok, seriously the hell was that?" The first guy asked. Then suddenly, what felt like an earthquake shook the ground, which got worse and worse as it began to grow. But the oddest thing was... there were pauses between each shake. This wasn't an earthquake! But before the three could react, something in the woods crashed through the trees towards the compound. It was then that a large shadow loomed over the three, the bodycam turned to face what made the shadow, when the three let out a frightened scream as their camera went out.
There are creatures that science refuses to recognize...
But new technology makes us question what is real...
But if our eyes see it...
If our camera's capture it...
Does it exist?

joined on the mission by Rookie Steve Meadows. They were also accompanied by two agents from the EC's European branch. Albert Babler, & Bluma Denhart.
A camera flickers on as Agent Connor sits in the back of a transport, "Got all info, Mooney?"
Yeah, I got it. " Mooney replied as she turned to a young African American. "Meadows you listening?"
"Loud and clear."
"Alright let's move out.
In 2018 three inspectors disappeared in countryside of West Germany. They have not been since then. The construction company that these three inspectors worked under contacted the Enigma Corporation. A Private Security Firm, to investigate. To increase their odds, the European Branch decided to bring in some extra help. Team leader, Noel Conner, Specialist Elise Mooney were joined on the mission by Rookie Steve Meadows. They were also accompanied by two agents from the EC's European branch. Albert Babler, & Bluma Denhart.
Though the mission was vague, Connor and the rest of the team prepared for the worst. What awaited them was something much more than they anticipated. These are their tapes.
Time. 7: 15 A.M.
Right now, the truck had just pulled up stopping, the three agents get out and walk over to a nearby building.
"This is it?" Meadows questioned as they walked up the door.
"Looks like it." Connor said as they went inside immediately, they were greeted by a man and a woman. "Are you Babler and Denhart?" "Indeed, we are." The one called Babler started to shake hands.
"It's an honor to meet senior agents like yourselves." Balber said, "And this is?" Denhart gestured to Meadows.
"The rookie." Mooney replied back. "This is Meadows." "How you both doing?"
"Alright for now." Babler replied. "This is all they could send?"
"He's right. This all they could send." Mooney said backing him up. "Well, at least we managed to get some help." Denhart commented. "But we really should get started as soon as possible."
They all move into a debriefing room and Denhart gets behind a projector while Babler started to explain to the other agents what the situation was.
"As you know from only the reports about a week ago three inspectors went out to the Black Forest twenty-five miles away from Baden-Württemberg." The projector slides showing the faces of the three workers that disappeared before showing the same compound from before. "They were simply inspecting this compound because supposedly people have been vandalizing it since construction started.
"Question. What were they working on in the Black Forest?" Meadows asked, "I'm afraid we're not at liberty to discuss that at the moment."
"Do you have any ideas on what could've happened?" Connor questioned.
"Well, we have theorized that possibly a few of the locals weren't too pleased about it." Babler spoke up. "However, that's all we could guess so far."
"I thought the compound was miles away from any populated area. Why would anyone be this far out from a village, town or city?" Mooney questioned.
"We don't know." Denhart replied. "No one's lived in that area for a long time now. There's only mostly just the wildlife."
"Animal attacks were ruled out as a possibility too." Babler added. "But no, there's none around mostly around this time of the year."
"So, are there any possible leads to their disappearances at all?" Meadows questioned in confusion finding this whole thing to be a bit strange.
"Well, there are reports of trees in the vicinity being knocked over..." "That's it?" Connor scoffed. "Sounds to me like it's lumberjacks and I highly doubt they-"
"Which were knocked clean out of the ground, roots and everything." Babler finished what he was saying earning surprised looks from the American agents.
"What? You mean like... plucked out?"
"Yep." Babler confirmed. "Also knocked over."
"What, did they have tractors or something?" Meadows asked incredulously. "No sign of any vehicle. Construction or otherwise."
"What the hell could've done all that?" Mooney questioned baffled by this. "Seriously what's going on over there?"
"That's why you're here. Your task is to look into why we lost contact and find anyone personnel."
9:55 A.M.
We now see the group in a specialized hummer driving through the tough and rugged road that'd lead to their destination.
"Holy crap, these freakin roads are bumpy!" Meadows cried out as he kept trying to keep himself from moving so much.
"Eh, this is nothing." Babler commented most likely because he was really used to it.
"Reaching our destination in about five miles. Keep your guard up; if you see anything, no matter how minor it is, report it immediately." Connor instructed as they approached the compound, "No telling what's waiting for us."
"Well hopefully we can find out what's going on." Denhart said as she loaded an AR 15 assault rifle. "Whoa, what the heck is that for?" Meadows asked surprised to be seeing her having a weapon like that.
"What do you think?" She retorted back. "Better safe than sorry. We don't know what we're dealing with."
"All the more reason to be prepared." Mooney agreed as she was prepping up her own rifle.
"Okay, coming up on the compound. Be ready!" Connor commanded as he parked the Hummer just outside the path. "Let's go!" The five got out and ran toward the compound, all with their guard up.
They kept in formation checking their surroundings keeping their weapons up and ready. "No signs so far. It's pretty quiet." Mooney commented.
They got up to the entrance of the compound getting to the doors. When they got their Connor motioned Babler to get ready as he opened the door kicking it open. Immediately they went inside, but when they did there was nobody else there at all.
"Ok guys spread out." Connor commanded. "Elise you're with Meadows, Babler, Denhart you two are with me."
They all began to spread out keeping as silent as possible moving carefully enough that they'd wouldn't get spotted.
...
From Meadows Camera we him and Mooney going through some rooms. "Mooney got anything?" "No, it's clear. I ain't seeing anything."
Meadows turns to the right and paused. The reason why was because there was a really big hole in the ceiling. "Whoa...Hey take a look at this..."
She walked up next to him looking at what he was gazing at. "What do you think could've made a hole that big?"
...
From Connor's camera, he lead Babler and Denhart the hallway, looking in each office, though none looked like a mess; it did look as though the personnel vanished into thin air as many cabinets were opened and papers were on the ground. They soon came across a room with a door that wouldn't budge; forcing Connor to kick it three times, the third being the hardest. The door swung open, allowing the three to enter the office... but stopped when they say the status. "Mein Gott/My God..." Babler murmured in shock.
The reason being because the wall was a complete wreck and underneath a huge pile of rubble, they see a bloody hand sticking out from it. (edited)
"What happened here?" Denhart questioned in confusion.
"I don't know." Connor replied as he grabbed his walkie.
"Elise, come in Elise."
"Go for it Connor."
"Listen we just found a body. So that might mean you'll possibly find some yourself. Be careful."
"Copy." She replied back
A shadow suddenly passed by from outside, the three running out to see who, or what it was. Soon as they got out, Connor shouted "Who's out there?!"
"Yeah... back inside, now!" Connor ordered, as they did, they barricaded the door, just in case.
...
Meanwhile from the other side of the compound Mooney and Meadow felt the ground shaking as well. "The hell is that?" "I don't know." She replied back.
"Keep away from the hole, it could be unstable."
"No need to tell me twice." Meadows commented. "Maybe we should keep moving on."
As the rumbling stopped, the two walked deeper and deeper until they came across a room full of computers. "Okay, check records and surveillance, we might find a lead." Mooney ordered as she logged onto one computer
"Alright." Meadows started to get to work checking the computers history as best as he could, but ultimately turned out empty. "I'm not finding anything on here. How about you?"
The senior agent looked through every file, but nothing conclusive came up, until..."What's this?" She questioned when she opened up camera footage.
"Huh?" Meadows heard what she said and walked over to her. "What is it? Did you find something?"
"Take a look." She clicked on one of the footage videos.
21 HOURS EARLIER
The alarms blared as everyone ran all around trying to either gather data, or purge the systems as one man in particular looked into the webcam.
"Get as much as you can everyone!" A scientist yelled out. "Make it count!" "Screw that we need to get out of here!"
"The doors won't hold! It's breaking through!"
Suddenly a loud crash is heard as a loud roar is heard before the camera feed goes out turning static.
"What the hell was that?" Meadow questioned in confusion after watching the video.
"Not sure, hold on, there's another." Unlike the previous, it was a bunch of stills as everything moved slowly; everyone was still running around... when something broke through the door. Though it was blurry, it appeared to be a... hand the size of a Fiat.
"What?"
"I have no idea what that is." Meadow commented. "I-It looks like a hand."
"Don't be ridiculous." Mooney replied back. "How can there be something that big?"
"Well how else do you explain that video?"
"I don't know. Come on, we need to rendezvous."
10:25 A.M.
After their encounter, the three looked outside once more. "Okay, whoever it was, they might still be around. Spread out and search the are." Connor ordered, As they split up, Connor and Denhart stayed close within the compound, while Balber went close to the woods.
"Everyone I'm not seeing anything." Balber called out to the rest of the group. "Yeah, I don-" He paused taking a look at something. "Everyone! Get over here quick!"
It was then that more rumbles shook the complex more, this time more rapid than the last.
"What's doing that!?" Meadow questioned as they felt the rumbles continue on.
"Everyone I'm not seeing anything." Balber called out to the rest of the group. "Yeah, I don-" He paused taking a look at something. "Everyone! Get over here quick!"
Before he could say anything else, a massive shadow suddenly looked over him; looking up, he uttered, "Mein Gott/ My God..." As it suddenly seized him.
Elsewhere the rest of the group heard the sounds of screaming and gun fire which last for a few brief seconds before it all went silent.
...
Elsewhere at the same time the rest of the group heard the sounds of screaming and gun fire which last for a few brief seconds before it all went silent.
"Babler!" Denhart cried out rushing over to the spot where she heard the screaming from earlier.
"Denhart wait!" Connor tried to get her to stop but she wouldn't listen as he and the others went to catch up to her.
"Mooney! Meadows! Something's happened to Balber!"
By the time they caught up, all the members were shocked to see the sight before them. Laying on the ground was Balbers gun, and on the ground was a massive footprint bigger than anything they'd seen in their entire lives. It was big enough to fit two small cars in it.
"What the hell?" Connor inspected the footprint, then looked to the woods, "Balber! Balber!"
"W-W-What the hell is this!?" Meadows questioned stuttering and was very frightened upon seeing the large footprint in the ground he had never seen anything like this in his whole life.
"Balber!" Denhart reached for her walkie and tried to call him but all she got was static. "Balber, this is Denhart do you read!?"
"Search the area but stay close. Whatever was here might still be around." Connor instructed as he went to investigate.
Meadows shouted in disbelief, "Are you kidding me!? We don't even know what caused all of-this and you want us to-"
Mooney quickly grabbed the rookie by the collar looking him straight in the eye. "Meadow's calm down."
"Calm!? How the hell do you expect me to calm-" He was cut off once again only this time Mooney slapped him.
"Get ahold of yourself, man! It's our duty to ensure safety and eliminate anything that's dangerous."
Connor spoke up, "Well said. If it helps, Denhart, you're with Meadows. Mooney, you and me. Let's move out!"
As the senior agents went ahead, Denhart said in a hard voice, "Try not to slow my down." Then proceeded in another direction .
They all proceeded to enter the woods following the massive footprints in the ground. "Look at the size of these things...What the hell could've made these?" Meadows questioned.
"Can't say I know." Denhart replied.
"Whatever it is, could possibly be what attacked the site as well." Conner pointed out. "Denhart, what exactly were they doing here? What kind of work was being done?"
"I'm sorry but I don't know." She replied stepping over a log with the others following behind her. "Me and Balber were only told to come and provide assistance, nothing more."
"Sort of find that hard to believe." Mooney commented bluntly. Hearing this the European female agent turned around to give her a glare.
"Do you have a problem, Mooney?"
"Actually yeah, I do." She gets up to Denharts face. "Me and Meadows found surveillance footage showing only bits of what happened here...I think you know more than you let on."
"Oh really?" Denhart questioned getting into her face showing signs of getting pissed off.
"Yeah, really." Mooney retorted back.
"Mooney, Denhart knock it off." Connor chimed in trying to ease the situation and the brewing tensions right now.
"No, I want the truth. What were your people doing here?" Mooney refused to back down.
The European turned around, "….. I can't tell you that."
Before anything else could be said, another tremor shook the ground beneath them
"What's doing that?" Meadows questioned as they felt another tremor and then another. "Seriously? Anyone know? Because I don't..."
Another tremor was felt making the group almost lose their footing. "Stay tight." Conner said as he released the safety on his rifle getting ready to take aim.
More tremors were felt, and these were feeling stronger than the last ones they had been feeling all night
"Shh…. Something's coming!"
They heard a low but loud guttural groan.
"Hide! Now!"
Everyone quickly rushed over to a set of thick nearby bushes quickly squatting down and turning off their lights. As for Meadows he did the same and switched the camera to night vision allowing him to see through the pitch-black darkness trying to get a glimpse of whatever was out there.
Everyone silenced and calmed their breathing as they continued to hear the groaning and feel the tremors. "What is that?" Meadows whispered.
As the tremors became more frequent, the source of what was causing them appeared from out of the trees. All the body cams caught the silhouette of a massive humanoid form walking into the clearing. As it came to a stop, the agents held their breaths as the creature loomed over the trees
It appeared to be taking a couple of whiffs to the air still emitting the heavy breathing and groaning.
None of the agents made a sound as it searched the area they were; this forced the agents to sneak around as it approached where they hid. Meadows, due to how he was shivering, stepped on a twig, causing it to snap loudly, which caught the creature's attention. It slowly limbered where the rookie was hiding, coming dangerously close to finding him. Unwilling to let another on his team get hurt, Connor grabbed a rock and tossed it to where the creature came from.
The creature grunted turning around to where the noise came from trying to see what it was.
While it was occupied, Conner made a hand motion telling them to move and they did just that, quietly as they could, all feeling nervous due to how close whatever this thing was.
As they got to cover, the creature resumed looking to where Meadows was, but after finding nothing, it let out a loud bellow before walking to where it came from.
Everyone froze, no one making a single sound or even making a movement. Except for the ones who had weapons they got ready and prepared to fire for what seemed imamate to come.
"Okay, it's gone." Connor said
Suddenly another roar was heard taking them by surprise and a large hand reached out towards them.
"Open fire!" Connor commanded. Though the creature swiped at them, the four agents fired shots all over it; causing it to bellow in pain
"Move!" Mooney cried out resuming fire as they quickly ran off as more painful bellows were heard.
They four made a mad dash back to the compound, when more tremors erupted; looking back, Meadows's cam caught footage of the creature chasing after them. The four ran until they reached the main base.
"Get inside, now!" Connor shouted as he opened the door for his colleagues.
Conner opened fired again with Mooney and Denhart joining in for support all aiming towards the creature who continued to bellow out in pain.
Before long it turned around and ran off back into the woods, each step it took running shook the ground echoing before they faded out.
"What the hell was that?!" Meadows cried out.
"Good question, Denhart!" Mooney said aiming her gun at the said agent.
"Okay! Everyone settle down!" Connor commanded, before turning to Denhart, "Denhart, you and Balber have all the information about this area, now you must know something. Spill it."
"Alright, but first we need to set up." Denhart answered.
In the recent amount of years there have been sightings of supposed giants in Mexico, like one example includes a video that was shot in 2022 of what appears to be a giant neanderthal peering out from a cave in Mexico. The figure is blurred from the maximum zoom but looks to be a very hair "caveman" who steps into the light from cave entrance on a mountain.
The figure appears to be a giant because it takes up much of the entrance even hunched over as it is, but the true proportions are hard to tell without something of known size nearby for comparison. The caveman seems to stare right in the direction of the camera before running their hand over their head and disappearing back into the cave.
12:13 AM.
After securing the perimeter we see the group all gathered around, the air was tense, and everybody was on edge.
"Yes, we knew there was something out here... but believe me, we didn't know it was anything like that! And need I remind you that Balber is still out there?! He might need our help, he-"
"Okay, settle down!" Conner commanded. "I know you're worried about him, but we need to evaluate the situation."
"Plus, that thing might still be trudging around." Mooney added.
"Yeah...and who's to say it wouldn't bring the whole building down. Did you guys not see the size of that thing!?" Meadows added his comment. "
"Alright, Meadows calm down..." Conner told the rookie. "Right now check on how much ammunition we have left..."
"Ok." He started to do just that while their team leader turned to Denhart.
"As for you, we need to know what exactly were dealing with. Tell us everything you know."
The European agent sighed, "Like I said, we didn't know exactly what it was, only that a few agents were looking into eye-witness accounts of strange creature sightings in the vicinity. By the time they set up here, everything went dark and a lot of data was lost."
"In other words, you didn't know whatever it was here would be dangerous." Meadows deduced
"I find that hard to believe." Mooney still wasn't convinced. "If it was this bad why didn't the European Branch step in when it first started? It doesn't make any sense."
"That's what Balber and I thought. The higher ups became suspicious when the lead scientists proposed to look into it." Balber, leaned back as she sat on the floor. "If there was a threat, it needed to be neutralized, but by the time they found something... well, just look around."
"What the heck is it even trying to do?" Meadows questioned as he finished up his objective.
"It could be just curious to trying to make us leave." Mooney deduced. "I mean, what other reasons could there be?"
"Well if there's one, then that means that there could possibly be more out there." Conner added in his thoughts.
As they spoke, Meadows' bodycam spotted one of the nearby computers began to flash a red; it wasn't long before the agent himself saw. Slowly the rookie made his way to the computer, then booted... what he saw what was on, it made him gasp.
"Hey, guys... I think you should come and see this..."
Computer Feed
The senior agents walked up to him as they saw footage of the compound; inside and outside from two different perspectives. It was when footage of all five agents that everyone realized something... the footage came directly from Denhart and Balber's bodycams! To confirm this, Balber switched to live feed and waved her hand in front of her cam, which showed on the monitor
"Your bodycams were rigged... the sceient team was watching your every movie..." Connor realized.
"... Verdammit/Damn it!" Balber shouted, kicking the wall.
"Hey! Be quiet! You want that thing to get us?" Meadow's hissed
"I'm not in the mood for your crap right now!" Denhart snapped at the rookie. But then they saw something. Immediately they all stopped upon noticing the computer feed.
Computer Feed
They saw Balbers footage, when they all spitted up and watched as a massive hand reached out towards him before the camera feed went static.
Upon seeing this Denhart gasped putting a hand over her mouth. "Balber...no..."
Realizing it was footage from earlier, Connor switched to live feed; nothing was on beside static at first... when an image suddenly flashed on. Nothing was seen at first, but the sound of husky breathing was heard. After a few seconds, nightvision turned on, revealing what appeared to be a cavernous area.
"What the hell?" Mooney questioned as they continued watching the feed. "Balber's camera is still working?"
"Shh." Conner said making sure they kept there attention focused.
"Hey, hey, look there." Meadows pointed out to something on the screen.
The Camera feed was still in the cavernous area and there wasn't much movement at all, aside from a few rats looking directly at the lens before it perked up and scurried off evidently scarred of something.
A groaning was heard as the bodycam moved, signifying Balber was miraculously still alive. Slowly, he began to move backwards as the perspective changed.
"Where-Where am I?" Balber's voiced asked.
"Balber's alive...Balber's alive..." Denhart whispered in shock and frantically reached for her walkie but Mooney stopped her.
"Hold on, He might still be alive, but we don't even know where he is."
"What? We need to get to him asap." Denhart retorted.
"Even if we did, it'd be too dangerous." Mooney replied back as they returned their focus back to the camera feed.
"Hello!" Balber's voice echoed, "Hello!"
Connor grabbed his comm, then tried to hale the European agent.
"Balber, this is Connor, do you read me?"
"Conner?" Balber was generally confused. "Where the hell are you guys?"
"We're back at the facility. Right now we got video feed of you through your camera, what happened to you?"
"I don't know, something attacked me. Next thing I know, I'm here." That was when he realized something, "Wait, you can see through my camera feed, how?"
"Balber this is Denhart." His partner spoke up. "The science team rigged our camera's. They've been watching us the entire time."
"What? Damn it! I knew they were up to something." It was then that the ground beneath him began to rumble, "... No... It's coming back..."
"Balber...Balber listen to me you need to get out of there, now!" Denhart urged her partner.
"I don't know where to go, I-" It was then that he looked down and picked something up... it was a grenade
Balber stared at it for a brief moment continuing to feel the rumble increase indicating the creature was getting closer.
As the senior agents watched, Meadows was able to locate where Balber was.
"Connor, I know where he is! He's in an old cave system do east of this locations. If we hurry, we can reach him."
"Are you crazy!?" Mooney retorted. "We don't even know if we can even reach to him in time!"
"We need to at least try!" Denhart shouted, "You can sit around until sunrise, but I'm not abandoning my partner and I'm not letting that thing attack any more people!"
"... She's right. We need to neutralize it before it attacks a populated area." Connor said, "Mooney, stay here with Meadows. Keep your comms on and wait here until we get back."
"Y-You sure that's a good idea?" Meadows questioned with a stutter. "I don't think we should be splitting up again."
Looking through the weapons cache, the senior agent took out a bazooka
"We'll be fine, just stay on radio until we need back up."
12:32 A.M
Connor and Denhart got into the transport and drove through the folliage, headlights being the only source of light as they trekked through the woods
"How much longer till we get there?" Connor questioned keeping on edge and looking through the windows making sure there weren't any other signs of movement. So far it was very quiet for now.
"How much longer till we get there?" Connor questioned keeping on edge and looking through the windows making sure there weren't any other signs of movement. So far it was very quiet for now.
"Right there!"
It was then that they reached a cliff where a cave was seen; it had to be where Balber was. The two waited no timed, as they got out, they inspected the area to make sure the creature wasn't around. As they got to the entrance, Connor had a feeling that it was all too easy... when Connor saw something.
"Denhart! Look out!" Alas, it was too late... Out of nowhere a freakin huge tree landed right in front of them making a very loud 'thump'! Just in the nick of time too Denhart slammed onto the brakes hard causing the back of the vehicle to go up for a brief moment before it came back down.
"Ow..." Conner groaned, as he didn't have time to brace for the impact. "That hurt...You alright?"
"I think so..." Denhart replied.
Without warning, something broke on the European agent's side as she was pulled out screaming
"Denhart!" Conner quickly scrambled out of the vehicle and opened fired on the creature that was holding her. It bellowed out in pain and dropped her before rushing off back into the woods.
Unfortunately, once Denhart was released, she landed hard on the ground; a sickening crack was heard right after.
She screamed out in pain and Conner rushed over to her. "Denhart! Denhart!" He put the rifle right beside him and knelt down to asceses the situation they were in right now.
Denhart began to breath hard, her body in immense pain.
Soon, Connor was by her side, "Denhart! Are you okay?"
"No I'm not ok!" She replied back. "My freakin leg is busted!" Conner examined the injury and noticed a piece of bone was sticking out.
"Oh geez..." Conner breathed as he quickly torn off his sleeve to try and wrap around the leg to help stop the bleeding
Despite in the position she was in Denhart proceeded to rip off a long sleeve of her shirt and passed it to Conner who added it to the wrapping.
As he did, he noticed blood, but it wasn't coming from her leg... it was coming from her abdomen!
"You're hurt."
"It's nothing..." The European agent dismissed.
"No, no. You're not ok." Conner tried to continue to press on. "We have to go back."
"It won't... make a difference..." She croaked, then pulled him close, "Finish the mission..." She then fell limp.
Conner quickly caught her. "Denhart, hang on. I'll get you back to the car."
Just as he said that more tremors started until they stopped; looking up, the EC agent got a full look at what has been terrorizing the area...
Standing above them was a massive humanoid beast, covered in dirt, and a lot of hair, it's body was also very bulky. It's face was very much human only it had a big nose and long bearded hanging down from it's face.
It glared down at Connor, then bellowed in an attempt to intimidate him. The agent showed no sign of fear as he grabbed the bazooka from the compound; just as the creature was about to charge... something fell at it's feet. After a few seconds, it exploded, disorienting the creature. Looking back, Connor saw that it was Balber, injured, but alive
"Paybacks a bitch, ficker." He breathed as he limped over to Conner.
"Balber? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine! Finish the mission!" Not letting the creature regain itself, Connor aimed the bazooka, then shot straight at the creature's head.
The following morning the team that was sent to the facility was picked up by a rescue team.
After the mission Balber quit from his position in the Enigma Corporation's European Branch and moved away to live a life in Canada. He hasn't been seen since.

I'm real pleased that you enjoyed it.
