Chapter Seventy-Eight

Breathing heavily, Angel stepped away from the punching bag that she had been using and grabbed her water off the floor. Resting her head against the wall near her, she brought the bottle to her mouth and took a gulp. As she felt the relaxing rush of cool water running down her throat, she let her eyes close before a yawn worked its way up.

"We're supposed to be working out, Babygirl. Not falling back to sleep." She heard Roman laugh at her.

"Well it's not my fault that you guys are weird and decided to wake up even earlier that way you could squeeze a work in before we caught the tour bus." She gave her neck stretch.

"Hey, we're not the only ones here." Seth chuckled.

She reluctantly opened her eyes and looked around the gym. The man was right, the place was packed with people from WWE.

"Plus, if we get this out of the way now, we don't have anything to do once we get to Newcastle."

"Guys, leave her be." Dean spoke up as he walked over from where he had been jumping rope. "She didn't get much sleep last night."

"I figured." Seth smirked as he patted the side of her neck, which made her blush. She knew what he was talking about. She woke up with one hell of a hickey, one that she thought she had hid well but apparently not.

Taking a deep breath, she looked over at Dean with a hard look, blaming him. He shrugged. She knew that he felt bad, he had already apologized to her about it but there was nothing they could do now.

Shaking her head, she took another sip of her water. As much as she hated that Seth and Roman knew how they spent their night but at least she didn't have to worry about the rest of the world knowing. Tonight's show wasn't live.

Gasping, Angel watched as Roman hit Randy Orton with an awkward spear. The Viper had ducked his head down as Roman came flying at him. The hit was effective, but it looked wrong. After the ref count to three and Roman stood up, she realized just how wrong it was. Above the man's right eyes was huge gash that was bleeding so bad that it was already dripping into his eyes and down his cheek.

Worried about him, she rushed into the ring and grabbed on the man's arm. She pulled on him so that he looked at her so that she could check his wound. "Are you ok?"

Roman smiled at her. "This?" He brought his hand up and touched his head near his injury. "It's just a little cut."

Little? She almost laughed as she looked at the thing. "I think we need to get you looked at anyway." She told him as she led him out of the ring and up the ramp.

When they got backstage, Seth and Dean were already standing there waiting for them. They still looked a little ragged from their match earlier in the show, but she couldn't worry about that at the moment. Her focus was locked on the bleeding man beside her.

"Shit man." Seth hissed.

"He got you good." Dean added.

Before Angel could even force him to the trainers' room, the medical staff came and took him away to get stitches.

Now that that was being handle, Angel sighed and pulled out her phone. "Galina's going to kill me." Determining that the time difference wasn't that bad, she dialed the number.

Seth shook his head. "She's not going to kill you for something you had nothing to do with."

Dean chuckled as he unwrapped a piece of gum. "He's right, she's going to kill Roman." As the phone rang, she glared at him as he stuck the piece of in his mouth with a smirk.

"Hello?" Galina answered.

"Hey, Galina." She said, hoping her worry wasn't coming through her voice.

"Oh hey, Angel! What's up?"

She swallowed the lump in her throat. "Um… So here's a thing."

"What he do?" Her voice changed in an instant.

Guilt hit her hard. "He got hurt. His spear hit wrong and he's got a gash over his eye."

"How bad." She sighed.

"Stitches."

Angel heard as Galina pulled the phone away from her face so she could shoo away Joelle who was asking who was on the phone. "It's Angel."

"Hi Aunt Angel!" The little girl called the new nickname that formed after her relationship with Dean went public. "Is Uncle Dean ok?"

"Shh…baby." Galina tried again.

"Is he?"

"Yes Joelle, Dean's fine." She told the girl. "Angel called because Daddy got hurt."

Joelle gasped. "Is he ok?"

"I don't know, I'm trying to figure that out."

"He's fine, he walked backstage on his own, and was joking around." Angel quickly answered. "The medics are looking over him right this second."

There was a pause on the phone before she heard a long sigh. "Angel, thank you so much for calling to let me know." She said sweetly. "Can you have him call me when the medics are done?"

"I will." She nodded even though the couldn't see her. "Sorry about having to call you, like this."

"No, no don't be. I'm glad you did. Last thing I need was to find out about this tomorrow on the internet."

"True." She laughed slightly. "We'll I'm going to go check on him right now, and I'll have him call when he's finished."

"Thank you."

"Goodnight, Galina."

"Night Angel."

The horrible tense feeling washed over her as she felt a heavy weight drape over her shoulder. "See, she didn't kill you." Dean smirked as he pulled her into his chest.

"Yet." She hated having to call Galina to tell the woman that her fiancé was injured. At least it wasn't something bad enough that he had to be taken to the hospital. Or at least she didn't think it was.

D.D.D.

Dean thought Angel was going to pass out as soon as they walked into the trainers' room. The medics were right in the middle of stitching up Roman's eyelid and as soon as she saw the blood, her face went pale as a piece of paper.

"How are we doing, Doc?" He asked knowing that Angel wasn't going to be able to ask herself.

The assistant looked up and sighed. "Just a few stitches. Nothing that bad." He said as he dabbed the blood off Roman's face.

The news seemed to knock out of her stupor. She rushed over to Roman and grabbed his hand. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good." Roman smiled. "Like they said before, nothing to worry about."

Dean chuckled at the man. "Oh man, you got a whole log to worry about. Galina wants you to call her."

Roman found. "Shit."

By the time they got down with patching up Roman. Angel was sitting against the wall playing with the zipper on her vest. The woman seemed to not want anything to do with what was going on. Which made him happy that she wasn't his manager as Moxley.

"Take these for the pain and try not to bother it too much. No soap on it. And no more ramming your head into things."

"Hey, it was Randy's fault." Roman mumbled.

"Don't care." The medic said as he began to wash up.

"You ready to go?" He asked as Roman got up from the table and fixed his hair into a ponytail, bun thing.

He looked over and nodded. "Yeah I'm good." His eyes darted over to Angel with a frown. "What about you, Babygirl?"

Angel's eyes shot from her zipper to the man's face. "I'm good." Everyone in the room gave her a look that made her sigh. "I'm just not good with things like needles going near people's eyes."

Once again, Dean's mind wandered back to his indie days as he thought about a certain match, that had a lot of needles in it. Good times.

"Where's Seth." Roman asked as he gathered up the rest of his gear.

"Said he wanted to call Leighla before it gets too late." Angel stated, trying to repomse herself. As she pushed herself away from the wall, her eyes naturally drifted upwards to Roman's eye. When her face paled again, Dean couldn't help but reach out for her. "Are you sure you're ok?"

Roman gave her soft look. "I'm sure. A little rest and I'll be good for tomorrow."

Dean watched as the wheels in Angel's head started to turn. 'Tomorrow! You're not really thinking about fighting tomorrow, are you?"

"Doc?"

Sighing the medic turned around and glanced at Roman. "I wouldn't but, it's up to you. It's not that bad of an injury the worse thing that can happen is it getting ripped open again. But if that's not a big deal for you, then go for it."

Roman turned around with a cheesy smile on his half-swollen face. "See, he said I'm good to go."

"No." Angel shook her head. "He said that he wouldn't but it's up to you."

"Yeah, so I'm good." He clapped her on the back. "All I need to do is get out of here, grab a drink, get some rest and I'll be tip top tomorrow."

"Don't forget to call Galina." Dean smirked.

Roman stopped in his tracks and sighed. "Oh right. I guess I'll do that… right now."

Dean snickered at the man who normally would be really happy to call home. Galina was a sweet and loving woman, but she could also wore the pants in Reigns family. And sometimes she would pull those pants up and turn into scary drill sergeant, which was something she normally did to lecture Roman.

He remembered back to the last time he had gone to spend time with the family; Roman had forgotten to take his gym gear out of his bag to be washed and Galina let him know by shoving the dirty clothes in his face.

"Sounds like a plan." He said trying to hold back his laughter. "While you do that, we'll go find Seth so we can head out as soon as you're done being yell at… I mean talking to Galina." He quickly pulled Angel out of the room.

"I don't really think he should wrestle tomorrow." Angel said as they started down the hallway.

"He'll be fine."

"Fine, he had to get stitches."

"Only a couple." He shrugged. "Trust me, that's nothing. I once fought with glass in my ass. Every time I landed on the mat it would wedge a little higher."

She frowned. "I don't even want to think about that."

"He'll be fine." He said pulling her closer. "We'll head out and get some rest. Tomorrow all we have is that interview before the show, it's an easy day."

"The day might be easy, but what I'm really worried about is the evening. You know when he had to be in the ring getting punched in the face."

"He's smart enough if it's going to be a problem, he won't fight." He tried to ease her worry. "Remember, he's not me."

The hard look on her face finally ease a bit just as Seth came around the corner.

"Hey." Dean called out as Seth almost walked right past them. "Seth?"

Seth seemed to jump as he turned towards them. "Sorry, didn't see you there."

"Is everything ok with Leighla?" Angel asked.

"Leighla?" His brows drew together. "Oh yeah, everything's fine. She misses me. But you know…"

Dean rubbed his chest as he looked at his brother-in-arm. "You sure, man? You seem a little…"

"Yeah, just a long day." Seth sighed. "And my head's still a little fuzzy from the match."

"I got you." Dean nodded. Ryback and Axel were not holding back tonight. Probably a little mad about what happened last night.

"Oh, how's Roman's eye?"

"He'll live."

"He had to get a couple of stitches."

"Shit," Seth nodded. "Shit, is he getting them right now or?"

Seth nodded. "Shit, is he getting them right now? Or?"

Dean shook his head. "Nah, he's already finished. We came to find you while he calls Galina."

"I'm glad I don't have to make that call." Seth laughed.

"You and me both."

Something's off. The thought wouldn't leave Dean's head as he looked at Seth. The man seemed jumpy, seemed distracted. It showed during their match tonight as well. There was a moment when he had ample time to move away from a charging Ryback but he didn't, he stood there and took the hit like a deer stuck in headlights. At the time Dean didn't want to all him out on it but he was starting to worry.

The big match wasn't that far off, what if Seth let whatever is going on with him get to him and mess with Payback, it could cost them everything.

A.A.A

"Welcome!" The reporter called as she pointed to the four chairs in front of her. "Hello, hello."

"Hi."

"Hey."

"Morning."

The boys all greeted her as they took their seats. Seth, Roman then Dean leaving the empty chair next to him for her. Angel walked over and sat down, sinking far into the cloth chair.

"How are all of you this morning?"

"Good." Angel smiled at her. "Tired by good."

"I can imagen." She smiled as she handed Seth the mic that was in her hand. "So, I'm Amanda, and I'll be asking you the questions for the interview." She said as she sat down in her chair across from the, right next to the camera. "You ready to start?"

"Please."

"First of all, what happened to your eye Roman?"

Everyone but Angel chuckled as Seth passed Roman the mic. "Pretty much what happened is; you have a desperate Randy Orton lined up for a Spear and he did what no one's ever done before, he put himself in full danger and threw his head at my head as I was a projected missile. Which split me open. That's the type of measures you have to take when you fight any member of the Shield." Roman pointed to his eye. "Take a close look, you want your eye looking like that? Don't do my job."

Seth chuckled as he took a sip of water. "Warning to all those little kids who try to preform our moves on their trampolines."

"Trampolines?" Dean played with his bottom lip. "That was fancy compared to what I had. Try couch, or bed, or floor."

As Roman and Seth busted out laughing, while Angel on the other hands tried to keep herself reigned in.

"Next question, how are you liking the UK?"

"This is our third time in the UK." Seth took the mic.

"Talk for yourself." Angel called across Dean and Roman.

"Right, this is our third time and her first time in the UK."

"Better."

"Every time we come here it's awesome, fans are great. every show we do the crowds, they're wild man. They don't get to see us that often. So, it's a great experience, we dig it every time. What about you Angel? Are you enjoying your first time?" Seth passed the mic down to her.

"If I would have known you were going to put me on spot, I wouldn't have spoken up." She blushed as she took the mic. "I love it. It's so pretty here, and like Seth said the fans are great, some of the loudest shows I've been a part of. But the look of this place really has me in awe. I can't stop looking out the windows when we're traveling."

"Aw that's sweet." Amanda said as she looked down at the clip board. "Um, So, what's the best chant you've ever had from a crowd?"

"Best chant?" Angel took a deep breath. "I quite like the Shield chant. "Shield. Shield. Shield." She tried to replicate the chant. "It sounds a lot better when there's more people." She quickly passed the mic down.

"They do this one, 'You fell over, you fell over.'" Seth said in a fake English accent.

"I knew you were going to do it. I knew it." Roman said as he smacked the arm of his chair. "First night of every tour. It's always the first night of every tour."

"There's a good story behind that one."

Angel cocked her head as her curiosity got the better of her. "What's the story?"

"It's nothing." Seth shook his head.

"Oh, come on, what is it?" She leaned forward.

"We'll tell you about it later, Babygirl." Roman told her.

"Aw come on."

Dean patted her on the leg and leaned into her. "Roman fell off the apron our first time out here… like just fell. No one did anything to make it happen."

"Hey!" Roman smacked Dean. "What part of later don't you understand?"

"Eh." Dean shrugged.

"To answer that seriously," Seth tried to interrupt the bickering going on. "every time we get an 'this is awesome' chant that's probably the best one. Just cause, it's also one that seems to be following us around from town to town so that's just personally gratifying."

"Love it." Amanda smirked. "Do you think you can top your previous match with Evolution at Payback on June 1st."

"We're going to do what we do." Seth said as he looked at the floor. "The situation with Evolution it seems like every week it's been raised to another level, um. So, going into Payback in a few weeks all of us are on the same page, we got to do what we got to do to get rid of Evolution as a whole. They're really a nuisance, they kind of been a thorn in our sides for the past month or so and it's just getting out of hand…."

"Getting out of hand?" Angel mumbled to herself. "That's putting it lightly."

Seth paused and looked over at her. "Really? Angel aren't you supposed to be keeping us on track and make sure we're behaving? What has gotten into you?" Angel laughed as Seth picked on her with a smile on his face. "Managers." He shook his head.

"She's worse than Dean today." Roman added.

"Hey!" Angel and Dean said as the same time.

"I'm not that…never mind." Dean tried to defend himself.

Angel chuckled slightly. "It's been really stressful the last couple of weeks and even though we're working harder now, on this tour I feel more relaxed. Is that weird?"

"Yeah kind of." Dean nodded at her, his sunglasses that he refused to take off made reflected the lights right into her eyes.

"Says Mr. Sunglasses Indoors."

"She's got you there." Roman chuckled.

"The lights are bright." Dean sighed.

"Can we just finish the interview?" Seth clapped his hands before looking down to realize that he was holding the mic still. "Sorry for whoever has to listen to that." He said with a guilty look.

"Way to go." Roman picked.

"What have been your career highlights so far?" Amanda said as she tried to stop laughing.

"How about you answer this?" Seth said passing the mic to Dean.

"Fine I will." Dean took the mic almost defiantly and brought it to his mouth. "The thing that I'm most proud of that we've done is uh, there are specific moments, in the ring there has been a lot of them. And you know the really memorable stuff we've done, WrestleMania, Pay-Per-Views, we've been in the ring with everyone from the Undertaker to the Rock to Triple H to John Cena, Randy Orton, you name it. But I think that uh, our biggest accomplishment so far is; kind of to Seth's point, is that on one hand we're sponges and we're in here and we're learning and trying to get better every single day. Going a hundred miles an hour, not taking any nights off but I think we've been able to raise the work ethic in the ring and have other people step their game up to match our intensity level. And I think that's happen across the board. Just being able to make the stamp we've been able to make on the product and the locker room, to bring the energy level up and what we are continuing to do is our biggest accomplishment."

"Wow." Seth raised his brow. "That was, something."
"Got to say." Dean pursed his lips together. "Wasn't ready on that one."

Roman gave Dean a tap on the shoulder. "You could have gotten brownie points by saying 'the biggest highlight in my career was when got our manager' or something along those lines."

"She's not really a highlight in my career…" Dean paused as a cheesy smile came to his face. "More just a highlight of my life."

Angel's heart did a little flutter as she looked at the man beside her. She could have sworn that she saw a small heated glance though his dark sunglasses, however that could have just been her own reflection.

"Awe." Amanda gasped.

"Ew." Seth frowned. "Get a room."

"Outside of the ring, who's the party animal, the most demanding, and the best with the ladies…."

Angel chuckled at the question.

"Angel is so the best with the ladies." Seth said as he took the mic from Dean. "Nah, I'm going to take most demanding and let you two fight over the other two."

"This question is difficult." Roman said. "If you would have asked us like a few months ago I would have said, Dean is the ladies' man, because he used to always have time for the ladies, that was his thing."
"You're going to get me in trouble." Dean said while chomping on the piece of gym in his mouth.

Angel gave a fake pout as Roman met her eyes.

"We may just take both of them." Roman said trying to cover himself.

"There are different demographics." Dean started. "This is why a three-man team is so good, having your partner and stuff. We can't fill every demographic; you know what I'm saying but we can over all the bases with three different guys. So, we got all the ladies covered. Now saying that we are all happily in relationships." Angel couldn't help smiling as Dean elbowed her. "Happily, in relationships." He repeated making Seth and Roman crack up.

Angel ripped the mic out of Dean's hand. "The way I see it is they are all a bit of all of them. Each of them is demanding in their own way, trust me. None of them are scared to party, in fact, it's a rare night if they don't have at least one drink. As for who's the ladies' mans?" She gave each a look over. "I've seen the fans come to the show, I've read all the signs, really it's a toss-up. As Dean said there something for each type of girl in the mix. Though just remember boys, I have a certain couple of numbers in my phone."

"Yikes." Seth pulled at his collar.

"Good answers." Amanda said. "Now does it bother you that Roman is being called the next big thing."

He is? Angel questioned. Sure, she heard people say they really like Roman and can't wait to see where he goes but she's never heard anyone say that he's the next big think at least not over both Seth and Dean.

"You think I would be in a group and have a guy watching my back, have two guys watching my back who weren't going to get that kind of attention? You think any kind of serious successful group in wrestling or you know in music or anything like that isn't going to constantly have the rumors of crap going on between all of them. That all just comes with the territory. We're are all super competitive with ourselves and each other and that's kind of the glue that keeps us together. We've all got to check each other, there's no dead weight. We all bring a different game to the table, but we all need each other to play each other's roles in order for this to work. That's just par for the course. It just means that we're doing something right."

Roman took a deep breath and took the mic from Dean. "Say I'm the next big thing anybody can say whatever they want. Who do I roll with, if I'm supposed to be that dude, that guy, who do I have with me? Who would I put all of that on the line for, these three. That's just how it is, that's how I operate. I don't look into who's the next big thing. I'm just trying to do my job better then I should."

"What's it like experiencing WWE live?"

Dean took this one. "There's a million different ways to watch the product but nothing is like being there live and experiencing the energy, and hearing the crowd, hearing the contact and the physicality in the ring and the music. Being part of the audience live is something you can't replicate watching at home on television. It's great to watch on television but if you miss the show live when we are in your town whether it be in Europe, United States, or Australia or anywhere, you're really missing out. Because there's nothing that can really replicate that energy. Non-televised events are sometimes more fun for us then televised events or even pay-per-views because you know, we're not doing anything for the cameras, there less interviews, so we're just out there for the people. We're just working our tails off to give them energy, for them to give it to us back. And it just goes back and forth, it's a more intimate experience than television sometimes. Tonight, we've got a live event and it's a UK crowd and their going to be nuts and we're going to be working our tails off like we do every night, in every town. And there's just going to be a lot of energy going back and forth and it's pretty cool."

"Thank you." Amanda said as she put her cards down in her lap. "Now I have one more thing to ask of you. Can you do an intro for us?"

"Sure." Roman smirked. "What do you want us to say."

"Just who you are and that this is your interview for MTV."

Angel watched as the camera man got really close on them, making them lean together. "Are you ready?"

"Who's going to say it?" Seth asked.

"I will." Roman groaned as he brought the mic close to his face. "Ready?"

"When you are." The camera man said.

"We are the Shield, believe in MTV."

D.D.D.

Dean collapsed on the bed; the tour was really starting to drag now. Tomorrow was their London show meaning it was Monday Night Raw time. A normal televised show for once. The only one they were going to get the entire tour. They left the States before Smackdown was filmed and Tuesday was going to be the tapping for Smackdown this Friday, however they weren't going to be part of it. Nope, they were in Sheffield doing another house show at the same time the tapping was happening.

He let out a huge sigh as he thought about tomorrow's show. He didn't have a match, it was Seth vs Batista, but he was still super excited for it. Hell, he would be excited for any match that wasn't up against RybAxel.

They had been facing RybAxel so much over the last couple of days, he swore he had an imprint of Ryback's huge paw on his back. Somehow, he just knew this was the Authority keeping then at bay with these stupid little fights. At least Randy was stepping and having bouts with Roman, which was more than Hunter and Batista had been doing the whole trip.

He had caught a glimpse of Hunter the other day, talking to a crew member about something. It took Angel reminding him that Hunter is the COO and that it was his job to check in on the shows, to keep him from running over there and pounding his face in. He could care less that there weren't any cameras to catch it, he just wanted blood.

"Dean." Angel called as the door to their hotel room opened. "I got a surprise."

Raising a brow, Dean rolled over, ignoring the pain the radiated from his back and looked up at the woman who was walking up to the bed with two take out containers. "What you got there?" His stomach was already rumbling for whatever food she had.

"I thought since we were in England, we should at least have some fish and chips." She said as she popped open one of the containers.

"Where the hell did you get that?"

"There's a little shop right next to the hotel that was still open. I thought why not." She shrugged her shoulders with a cute little smile on her face.

"I thought you said you were going to ask the front desk for another blanket?" He questioned as he sat up and took the containers so that she could climb into the bed.

"I did." She said joining him. "That's when I asked the front desk about late night food and he told me about the shop."

"Did you get Roman and Seth some too?" He asked already knowing the answer.

"Yep."

He chuckled as he handed her one of the orders of food. "You spoil us."

"I know." She said proudly as she turned on the TV.

He didn't know how, but with one little action, Angel made his night go from shit to well, not shit. He couldn't quite comprehend how she did it, but she did. He was sitting there, with a thing full of delicious food in his lap, with her sitting next to her while watching a show called 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, which had to be the longest most ridiculous name he had ever heard. But he also couldn't stop smiling every time Angel laughed at a joke on the show, or thought she got a good word in one of the games they played.

Maybe just maybe he could make it through the rest of the tour.

A.A.A

Angel stood there with the camera on her shoulder as she waited for the boys to start their promo. Tonight, they were so worked up and ready to get their hands-on Evolution that she could see it even in Roman's face as his jaw ticked.

"Last week Triple H talked about humbling us." Dean said from his spot leaning against a ladder in the back of the hallway. "Triple H talked about teaching us a lesson. Eliminating us. Then Triple H is going to run his goons down and hide behind them. Nah, man. Because what that looks like to me is that Evolution might be afraid of the Shield." He emphasized the world Afraid. "I hope not because at Payback we want an Evolution that wants to fight. This Twenty on three crap…." He looked at Roman. "This." He pointed up to Roman's eye.

Angel moved forward to get a better look the man's face, almost sighing as the injury came into view. It was getting better, kind of; at least it would have been if it hadn't been made worse during one of his fights with Randy. The man had raked Roman's face against the mat and ripped the stitches out of his face, splitting him open even more, making him go from needing five stitches to nine. Just like that. Not to mention the skin around his eye was a nasty mixture of black, purple, yellow, and green, and that there was a cluster of popped blood vessels in his eye.

"Hey, is this your brand of justice?" He said like it was Randy's aim to bust Roman open when they smashed heads at the beginning of the tour.

Roman smirked as he leaned in even closer to the camera. "Nine Stitches. And the question that remains for last week is, is that all you got? Is that your best shot? Because if it is you have so many problems. You keep trying to knock us down and we keep standing tall. And we're never going to stop coming for you."

"Yeah." Seth's voice made her pull back so she could fit Seth into the frame, which also gave her a nice view of the pacing, twitching man behind him. "Evolution that what you don't understand. You keep trying. You try to attack us when we're down, you try to put out down, you try to put us out. Example: two weeks ago, on Smackdown, my match with Batista. I took one risk too many, I made a mistake and he did what he was smart and took advantage. Then he beat me half to death when I could barely stand on my own two feet."

A chill shot through Angel as she listened the Seth's recounter of the moment. She could remember standing there in horror not able to do anything. She felt bad back then, but to hear the man talk about what had happen in his own voice, labeling it as being beaten half to death, made her want to go back in time and do something, anything. Dean had told her she had been getting better at the punching bag; however he was also looking at her ass when he said it.

"He tried to put me out of action, tried to end my career. But he couldn't get the job done. But tonight, Dave." Seth's voice dropped down very low. "I won't make any mistakes. Believe that Batista and Believe in the Shield."

She brought the camera down to the fist bump that happened.

"And clear." Angel said in almost a whisper as she dropped the camera down. "Good promo guys."

There was a strange feeling in the small area that they had claimed as their home for the night. Dean was being well Dean as he paced around, throwing punches in the air at random, cracking his bones every now and then. Roman was standing silently against the wall as he clutched his vest. Both pretty much what she had come to expect with the two men. Seth on the other hand, Seth was the one who was just slightly acting out of character. Normally he would be more like Dean but more talky, he liked to ramble about what their game plan was but this time he was as still and quiet as Roman, while he stared at the ground. He had ben this way for most of the tour. The pep talking, always up for a fight guy was nowhere to be seen.

Yeah, he would have a good time with the boys, smile and give a chuckle when one of them said something stupid, he would even throw out a witty comment every now and then, but he always seemed to sink off to himself. Like he was thinking about something.

And she wasn't the only one who had seen it. She knew Dean had caught the strange behavior too because she saw him glancing over at the man out of the corner of his eyes every once in a while, like he was checking on him.

"I'm going to go get this to the production crew." Angel said trying to break the silence in any way possible. "We only have a few more matches before Seth's so makes sure you're ready."

Dean quickly snapped up the clasps on his hoodie vest and smirked. "Always ready, sweetheart."

"I'll be right back." She turned around and quickly made her way to the main hallway. As she stepped out from the darkened hallway, she received some strange looks from one of the workers, but she just gave them a smile and kept moving.

"Miss Miles."

Turning around, she saw a young-looking member of the production crew walking up to her. "Hello."

"Hey, I was just coming to find you." He said with a smile on his face. "Do you have that promo for us?"

"Sure do." She said raising the camera up. "And boy it's a doozy."

"It always is with the Shield." He took the camera. "Oh! Before I forget, Hank is looking for you."

Hank was the stage manager who had been put in charge for the entire tour, he was also one of the only people who worked for the Authority that she actually got along with. Since he actually talked to her instead of sending someone else to relay information.

"Do you know where he is?"

"Uh," The young man thought. "He's either in the gorilla or the production truck. I'm not really sure which though."

Angel sighed. It was getting close to Seth's match and the last thing she wanted was to go on a wild goose chase. "Thanks anyway." She waved as she started towards the gorilla, praying that he was there. She didn't want to have to go near the production truck since there was a good chance that Stephanie was going to be there.

As she rounded the corner to the gorilla, much to her surprise, Hank was standing ther with a clipboard in his hand as he talked to another crew members.

"Hank." She called.

"Angel!" He turned around with a smile on his face. "Hey."

"I was told you needed me."

"Yeah…" A sigh came from the man as he looked down. "Don't shoot the messenger."

Oh no. Her heart dropped at the words. "What is it."

"Everyone's been banned from ring side for Seth vs Batista." He said quickly like he was pulling off a bandage.

"What?"

"The Authority just sent out the notice that only official personnel will be allowed down at ringside." Angel pinched the bridge of her nose at the news. "But hey, that means that Evolution isn't allowed at ringside either. They aren't officials. The only ones who are labeled as officials are, the ref, the medics, ring announcer, timekeeper, and commentary. That's it."

"That's good at least."

"Sorry." He gave her a pat on the shoulder.

"Not your fault." She gave him a half smile.

Know that she didn't have time to waste, she quickly started back to the boys. She needed to tell them what was going on, because something seemed fishy.

D.D.D.

Dean leaned back against the ladder that was behind him as he watched Seth warm up for his fight. He was envious of his teammate. He wished that he was the one going out to war in a one on one fight. At least this being a match with one of the members of Evolution, he knew that he was going to be able to get his fists dirty tonight.

Everyone's head perked up as a noise came from the hallway near their corner. They were set back far enough that no one would just be accidently in this area, so either that was Angel coming back or someone was trying to find them. And that could mean it could be a member of the crew, or the Authority's attack dogs.

When Angel came into view, he relaxed; that was until he saw the look on her face. "Everything ok?" He asked as she stopped in front of all of them.

She shook her head. "Just found out that everyone has been banned from ringside for Seth's match. Only officials are allowed."

An annoyed groan echoed from all three men.

"Of course, we couldn't be men and have a good match." Seth sighed.

"You expected Evolution to be men?" Dean raised a brow. "Even after they hid behind entire locker room?"

"I just thought…" He raked his fingers through his hair. "I don't know what I thought."

"When you say officials, what do you mean?" Roman spoke up.

"I was told that only the ref, medics, timekeeper, ring announcer, and the commentary team would be allowed." Angel sighed. "Everyone else is banned."

"Meaning unless Hunter and Randy have something up their sleeves then we're good."

Dean shook his head hard. "Yeah but do you really want to chance that?"

"Nah."

"For all we know they could be guest commentator…." Roman trailed off as everyone realized what was going on.

Sure only officials were allowed at ringside, which would be cool but Hunter had the power to make both him and Randy officials. Meaning that if they couldn't figure something out, all three members of Evolutions would be out there while Seth would be by himself.

"We can't let this happen." Angel crossed her arms.

"I agree." Roman nodded. "We need to stop whatever they have up their sleeve."

"Yeah, but how." Seth asked. "Cause unless you guys know how to become officials in the next few minutes then we're shit out of luck. The only other thing we can do is DQ the match."

Dean let his head fall back between the rungs on the ladder. Seth was right. None of them wanted to throw the match but it seemed like the only way to ensure that Seth wasn't up against all of Evolution by himself. It wasn't like they could stop their way into the GM's office and demand that they become officials in the match…

"Who's the GM?"

"Um." Angel blinked at the sudden question. "I think it's Brad tonight."

Dean smirked. "I think it's time to give Mr. Maddox a visit."

Skovko: Well Angel is a little tired in the morning but they both did sleep well

Silentmayhem: Wow, alright I'm trying to take your review in stages. One I'm going to try to do more with Dean, but it's hard because Dean's not the type of person who really wants a clothing line or something like that. He's just chill and wants to fight. But since it's His and Angel's story I feel like it will feel like he's more important. Since we're going to be seeing a lot less of Seth and Roman once they split. I might have Angel do something but I'm not sure yet. Thank you for you ideas though. We'll shall see.

Lissa003: Holy crap your rereading it! It's a lot of reading. I hope that it all flows together. That's been my biggest fear.
