Welcome to Chapter Ninety Three! I have an announcement! I'm working on an art project and I'm using Angel in the Asylum as my muse. I'm trying to get better at drawing so I'm going to draw scenes from the story, one per each chapter. I've sort of already started it. If you wanna see the drawings they are being posted on my Tumblr... because I'm that kind of person. Link is going to be in my bio. Up to you!
Monday Night Raw: June 16, 2014/Main Event: June 17, 2014
"Ro!" Dean suddenly called out nowhere making Angel jump and almost drop her cup of ice tea. She looked up to see Roman walking into catering.
"Hey." He nodded as he stopped by the table, gripping his vest in that lone ranger style. "I caught your match out there. How's the arm."
Dean sighed as he looked at his arm that had an ice pack taped to it. "It's alright." He gave it the slowest roll she had ever seen him do. "It was either this or someone was going to complain all night."
Angel gasped as him and smacked his good arm. "I don't wanna hear that, when you were complaining about your arm ever since we got backstage."
Dean shrugged off her comment, knowing that he couldn't fight back since he was the one that asked for the ice pack in the first place.
Roman chuckled and shook his head. "You two bicker more then me and Galina."
"That's because Galina had you whipped, my man."
"Oh, I'm whipped?" Roman raised a brow. "You don't even want to go there."
Dean rolled his eyes. "Nah, I think I do."
Angel could help but laugh. Dean and I were the once how bicker? "Oh hey!" She stopped the two men. "Roman, did you talk to Vicki?"
"Yeah." He smirked in a way that made her cringe slightly. "I got what I needed."
Her eyes widened. "You got into the battle royal?"
"Babygirl, who do you think you're talking to? Of course, I got into the battle royal."
Dean clapped his hands as he munched on the chips that he had piled on his plate. "Go get them out there, Brother. Show them who's boss."
"Don't I always?"
"Unless your talking to Galina."
…
Angel rubbed her hands together as she got comfortable in front of the TV they had claimed at the start to the show. It was almost time for the battle royal, and of course they were going to cheer on their boy. There was no way they were going to miss it.
"Here we go!" She got excited as the show came back from commercial. "Ready?" She asked looking over at Dean who was picking at his stiches. "Hey! Quit that."
He dropped his hand and sighed. "They itch."
"Good, that means they're healing. Stop messing with them."
He grumbled something that she couldn't quiet make out just as Roman's new theme song played over the speakers. It was weird to not hear the Shield's intro to the song, but the amped up base fit the man's intensity as he appeared above the crowd.
"Aw man, he looks focused." Dean smirked as Roman got into the ring.
Angel's eyes ran around the scene in front of her, it was so hard to see Roman and the match hadn't even started yet. She knew it was going to be downright impossible to see him once it did. And she was right.
The bell rang and the brawl started. It looked like a wall of flesh and bright colored spandex. It reminded her of when she tried to keep track of Dean in his battle royal. It was so chaotic if it wasn't for commentary she wouldn't have noticed as Damian Sandow was eliminated.
The match went on and on. Santino Marella was the next one out followed by; both members of Los Matadores, Xavier Woods, Titus O'Neil, and Sin Cara. All the eliminations opened the view so that Angel could see Roman being pounded down to the mat by BNB.
"I'm surprised he even made it to this match." Dean sighed as he stretched his left shoulder. She wondered if he was replaying the match over in his head. Reliving the pain and anger that went through him.
"Jack Swagger is gone!" Cole called.
"The herd is thinning."
"That it is." Dean nodded. "Ro has this in the bag. He almost had the Royal Rumble, he can win this no problem."
Within seconds, Kofi Kingston was out as well.
Soon it was just Roman, Big E, Rusev, and Bo Dallas left in the ring. Bo tired his hardest to take out Roman while the man's back was turned but Roman hung. Either just living in the moment or not caring about it, Bo turned his back to Roman and went and helped Rusev take out Big E, before trying for the big man himself.
After Rusev hit him away, Roman charged in with a Spear and the crowd went nuts.
"That's my man." Dean cheer as he clapped his hands. "Get that Richard Simmons knock off out of there."
Angel chuckled as she watched Bo go up and over the top rope. It was only Roman and Rusev left. Two big powerhouses, it was anyone's game.
The battle royal turned into a one on one match and both men seemed to forget the goal of the match. Hit after hit, the two men fought hard until Roman got Rusev over the top ropes and onto the apron. All he had to do was knock him off to finish the match. Another exchange of blows and Rusev was sent tumbling down due to a Superman punch to the head. Roman had won!
"Yes!" Angel hopped out of her seat and clapped her hands at the screen. "He won."
"What did I say? In the bag." Dean punched at the air.
Roman was going to Money in the Bank to be part of the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship Ladder Match. Which meant now all she had to do was worry about what Dean was going to do at the pay-per-view.
As the show cut to an interview with John Cena, Angel raced her way to the gorilla to meet up with Roman. As soon as she noticed Roman standing there with a bottle of water in his hands. She bounced up to him and gave him a huge hug.
"Congratulation!"
Roman chuckle. "Thank you, Babygirl." He hugged her back.
A slow clap came down the hallway making them turn to see Dean making his way towards them. "Congrats." He patted him on the back. "That was a hell of a hit. I've been wanting to punch Resev in his face since I first heard Lana's voice."
"I'm feeling like drinks are in order tonight."
Angel laughed as she stepped away from the man. "You always feel like drinks are in order." She shook her head. "Although we do have some leftovers from last night so I mean, we might as well."
…
Angel whistled to herself as she got her stuff together to head out. Today had gone pretty well for them. Yeah, Dean had lost his match, but he did get a chance to get his hands-on Seth. He also ended up getting the upper hand on BNB at the end of the match. While Roman had somehow got himself into the battle royal match for a place in the WWE Heavy Weight Championship ladder match and won it.
She had joked with the boys earlier about always thinking drinks were in order, but she did think it was time to celebrate. For the first time in a couple of weeks, they had come out on top.
"Ready to go?" Dean asked as he threw his duffle up over his shoulder.
"Yep." She smiled at him. She tossed her laptop bag over her shoulder and grabbed her backpack before bouncing over to him.
"You're in a good mood."
"You could say that."
"How long is this good mood going to last?" He asked as he wiggled his eyebrows at her.
She rolled her eyes playfully. "Shut up."
"Hey, I'm just asking." He chuckled as he let himself get pushed down the hallway. Roman had already headed out to the car, he wanted to get somewhere quiet and private to call Galina and tell her the good news.
As they walked down the hall, Dean suddenly stopped. "What's up?" She asked as she turned toward him to see that he was staring at one of the TVs that were broadcasting the show. It was the last match of the night the stretcher match between John Cena and Kane. Although there were two uninvited guests in the fight, Seth and Randy Orton.
Dean's body went tense as he watched them gang up on Cena. Angel watched in horror. The match was no DQ which meant Seth and Randy could do anything to Cena and the match wouldn't be called off.
Once again, the Authority was flaunting their power. Cena was being punished for helping both them and Daniel Bryan out. This isn't right. Someone had to help.
Her eyes snapped to Dean who's hold on his duffle had grown so tight that his fingers were turning white. She couldn't tell if he was as upset as she was about them attacking John Cena, she doubted it. His anger was probably more to due with Seth being on the screen then anything but at this moment Dean's motivation didn't matter.
"Go."
The word didn't even leave her mouth fully before the duffle hit the ground and Dean went running. This was the second time tonight that she found herself rushing after Dean as he took off to ruin Seth's day. She knew she wouldn't make it to the ring before the end of whatever was going to happen, she didn't want to just stand there waiting around.
Trying to catch what was happening on every screen she past, she watched as Dean attacked Seth, threw Randy out of the ring, followed by Seth. The man was on a roll. However the roll came to and end as she pushed past the curtain just in time to see Dean high in the air as Kane planted him with a Chokeslam.
Not stopping to worry about the match that was still taking place nor the three men around her that she was sure wouldn't hesitate to hurt her, she raced down the ramp and into the ring. She slid right up to Dean and covered him with her own body as Kane turned his attention to Cena.
She didn't take her eyes off the Devil's Favorite Demon until he was dumped over the ropes and onto the floor. Nodding to Cena to gave them an appreciative glance, she turned to Dean. "You ok?"
"Out of the ring." Dean order as he rolled his body towards the ropes. Helping the best she could, they both got out of the ring and sat on the floor.
Checking once more on Dean, Angel watched as Cena fought to get Kane on the stretcher, the thing seemed to have a mind of its own as it moved around making it harder for him.
"I'll be right back." She patted Dean on the back as she rose to her feet.
She heard nothing but a sigh come from the man as she rushed around the ring to where Cena was on the ramp. "Need a hand?" She asked walking around the man and grabbing onto the stretcher to hold it in place.
Only stopping to give her a strange look, Cena went back to trying to get Kane up once more. As soon as the big man was on the stretcher, Angel let go and stepped back.
"Thanks." He saluted her before taking off to get the stretcher up the ramp. Just as the thing was about to pass the yellow line on the ground, Kane shot up right and grabbed Cena. It looked like he was going for a Chokeslam, but Cena was about to counter it into an AA onto the stretcher. With one final push, Cena won.
Not even celebrating the win, Angel turned around and saw Dean crawling into the ring. Quickly, she made her way back into the ring and checked on him. Stitches were still in order; he wasn't holding his left arm to his side anymore. At least that was good.
"You ok?"
"I'm fine." He said using the ropes to stand. "Neck and back are a little sore, but other than that…."
She sighed as watched him stretch his back. "Wanna get out of here?"
He nodded and started towards the side of the ring. After getting out of the ring, they made their way up the ramp to where Cena was still standing showboating to the crowd. Dean and Cena locked eyes and Angel stepped back to let the two fighters stand face to face. Cena had a smile on his face, while Dean did not.
Cena looked around at the crowd that was cheering at what they were seeing. "I guess we've even." Cena said as he reached out for a handshake.
Dean raised an brow at the offering. "I didn't do it because I thought I owed you." He grumbled.
"But you still did it." Cena said not dropping the smile or hand. "Thank you."
Rolling her eyes, Angel reached out and nudged Dean a little bit making him glance back. Taking a deep breath, Dean turned back to Cena and nodded his head. "Yeah." He shook the man's hand.
Cena pulled Dean in and rose his hand about his head. "Come on!"
The crowd cheered louder.
…
"Why the hell is Golden Boy Cena like that." Dean twitched as bit as they picked up their things again.
"He's just a nice guy, I guess."
"It's weird."
"Only you would think someone being nice is weird."
Dean shook his head. "Nah, it's weird in this business. No one is nice without wanting something."
"Bo Dallas is nice."
"And again, it's weird."
"I'm I weird for being nice?" She asked trying to play him.
Dean nodded instantly. "Yeah, I would say someone running to the fray, to help hold a stretcher for someone to lift 'the Devil's Favorite Demon' on it is weird."
"Hey, I just wanted to see Cena win over Kane."
"I get that, but it's still weird."
"You're weird."
"No denying that one, Darling." He winked.
D.D.D.
Dean turned to Angel who was sitting looking at her phone for the like thousand time tonight and sighed. "Oi, this is bev time, not work time." He said tossing his bottle cap at her.
"He's right. What the hell could they want with you right now? It's past midnight." Roman added.
"Racheal wants me to meet with her to discuss some new near options for you guys now that you left the Shield." Angel sighed as she typed out the answer. "She wants to meet during Main Event tomorrow, but I was hoping to head out by then."
"Why are you in such a rush, we don't have anything to do tomorrow or Wednesday?" He asked sipping his beer.
A small blush came to her face. "I was hoping, we could stop in Cincinnati for a bit and you could, I don't know…show me around your old neighborhood."
Dean blinked at the woman. "You wanna see where I used to live?"
"Yeah." She said bring her drink to her face. "And possibly meet your mom…" He watched as the blush washed over her face.
Dean sighed. "Um…I'm mean Cincinnati ain't going anywhere. And I'm not sure how much my mom would like a surprise visit. So how about we just rain check it for the next time we're out this way? Sound good?"
That was he could also make a game plan and map out where he was willing to take her. His old home wasn't the nicest of places and though he knew she already knew his childhood was rough, he didn't want to prove just how bad it was. This is the corner where I used to by my weed and other shit. This is the house that use to sell fake ids and this…this is the real kicker this is the warehouse we used to have street fights in.
"Yeah, that sounds good." She said sounded disappointed.
"It ain't that exciting, babe. Trust me." He found himself saying. "I mean wouldn't you rather go to the zoo instead of seeing an old beaten down town."
Her eyes seemed to slight up at zoo. "Why not both!"
Well that didn't work.
A hand on his shoulder made him look over to see Roman chuckling at him. "Good try." He mumbled under his breath. Making sure to hide it behind all the shit on the table, he flicked the man off, which only made him chuckle more.
A.A.A.
Angel let out a yawn as she sat up in the hotel bed so that she could get ready to start on her morning routine of going through her emails. Rubbing the sleep out of her eye she looked down at her laptop that was laying on the floor and sighed. Deciding against the effort that it was going to take to reach down and grab the computer, she grabbed her phone off the end table.
After unlocking her phone and seeing how many emails she got over the night, she exhaled and leaned her head back against the wall. "Coffee." She mumbled as she reached over to grab the iced caramel latte that Dean had picked up for her during his morning run. She took a sip and opened her Gmail and started to go through a categorize the emails into different groups. She liked to classify her groups as, people who wanted them to sponsor them, people who wanted to interview Dean and/or Roman, spam, and actual work.
After deleting all the spam and sponsor emails, she started in on the ones she labeled for work. Her eyes landed on an email from the head office that had the subject line; Changes to Main Event Tonight. Curious, she clicked on the email.
Attention all WWE staff and crew. Some changes have been made due to the fact that the Authority will not be able to attend tonight's show. The announcement pertaining to the Money in The Bank pay-per-view will still be happening the only changes is that instead of Stephanie McMahon and Hunter Helmsley, Seth Rollins will be the one in charge of it now.
In addition, to make sure that everything goes smoothly the Authority has deemed attendance as needed. Meaning only those who are needed for the already scheduled show are allowed to be present at the arena. There will be guards stationed by the entrances to make sure this order is carried out. If you have any business that needs to be done tonight that doesn't deal directly with tonight's show, please contact the support crew.
Angel almost laughed as she pushed herself up as she could see the man who was doing pushups on the floor by the foot of the bed. She shook her head at him, "Aren't you supposed to be resting your arm?" She raised a brow at him. Dean glanced up before pushing himself all the way so he could change his position to one armed pushed ups. "Smart ass."
He smirked as he hopped up to his feet. "Always."
She rolled her eyes as she held out her phone for him. "Check this out."
He whipped his brow as he grabbed the phone. She watched as he read it, his face turned into a amused smirk. "Attendance as needed?"
"Yep."
"Always covering their ass." He handed her phone back. "and now their covering their boy's ass too."
"I thought you would enjoy that." She sighed as she marked it as read.
Shaking his head, Dean grabbed her latte and took a sip. "God, how can you drink that." He frowned.
"Says the man who drinks coffee with a whole shaker of sugar." She snatched her drink back. Dean shrugged his shoulder as he moved to flopped down on the bed next to her. "Ew! You're all sweaty."
"They'll come clean it before we have to sleep again." He said before settling into the bed. "Don't you have a meeting with Racheal tonight?"
"I do."
"Are you going to be able to go?"
Angel clicked her tongue. "I'm not sure, I guess I should text her to ask." She said doing just that. After a few seconds, she got a message back saying that the meeting was still on. "Meeting is a go."
"Oh?" She questioned the devilish smirk that came onto his face.
"What are you planning?" She poked him in the dimple.
"Nothing." He shook his head. "Unless, you think you can sneak me in when you go for your meeting."
She took a deep breath. "Let me guess you wanna attack Seth while he's making his announcement."
"What gave that away?"
"I just know you and I know you wouldn't be able to pass up the chance to go after Seth."
He rolled over to his side. "It's not just about me not being able to pass up a chance to beat Seth's stupid face into the mat, it's about the principle." Angel raised a brow at his word. "You see the entire roster has to have eyes in the back of their head constantly just in case the tyrants we call the Authority decides to 'punish' them for whatever 'wrong doings' they have done." He said with air quote that made her chuckle at bit. "Seth on the other hand, doesn't. They're protecting him, trying to make him feel safe. Even going as far as making sure that Roman and I can't get in with this whole, 'only those who are need allowed' rule." He mimicked Hunter. "And I say bull fucking shit to that. Seth needs to feel the same fear that everyone else does. I wanna be that constant danger that Seth feels. I want him to always be looking over his god damn shoulder, wondering when I'm going to attack."
The move he talked, the more she could see him getting irritated. He was breathing slowed, his fists clenched and unclenched at his side. The man in front of her looked like he was ready for a battle.
"I'll see what I can do."
…
Angel took a deep breath as she walked up to the guarded door. Panic started to set in the moment she dropped Dean off around the corner so that he could sneak up to the side entrance that you both picked out. You're just letting your boyfriend in a side door not pulling off a diamond heist. She reminded herself as she clenched her laptop bag to her side.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, she stopped in front of the man who was sitting on a stool the talent entrance and smile weakly. "I'm here for a meeting with wardrobe?" She said praying her voice didn't crack.
"Name?"
"Angel Miles."
The man sighed as he brought a walky talky to his face. "Angel Miles is here for a meeting with wardrobe."
Nerves getting the better of her, she started to sway from on foot to the other while she waited for whatever response the man was waiting. "She's good."
The guard nodded. "Go on."
"Thanks." She waved at him before quickly making her way into the arena, only pausing once she got into the main hall.
Looking around she saw the production crew and Superstars and Divas getting ready for the show that was about to start. She also noticed that the hallway felt bare, there wasn't as much hustle and bustle as normal. In fact, it felt almost empty. Depending where she looked the place almost felt dark and eerier.
No that's your mind playing trick on you. She shook her head as she started down the hall towards the staircase that Dean was waiting near. Suddenly, that guilty feeling washed over her as she walked past a group of workers setting up one of the backstage cameras. She felt like all of them were watching her, like they knew she was up to something that the Authority wouldn't approve of.
Who cares? She could hear Dean's voice in her ears as she passed a TV screen that was showing the lighting tests.
Almost as if compelled, Angel stopped and turned towards the screen, her eyes landing on the two figures in the middle of the ring. They were just members of the crew who were acting as stand ins for the tests but for some reason she couldn't stop herself from staring. They were goofing off, pretending to hit each other, pretending to wrestle.
The bigger of the two men turned towards the other one and acted as if he was going to punch him and her mind froze. A very familiar scene flashed in her mind and the two crew members turned into her and Randy. Her mouth dropped as her eyes flickered around the scene. How didn't she see it yesterday? How didn't she realize it? They were in Cleveland…in the same arena where Randy had attacked her.
All of a sudden, the hallway seemed to shrink down on her and the darkness grew. This was where everything started. This is where she met the Shield, met Seth, Roman and Dean.
"Dean!" She shot straight and gave her head a shake. This wasn't the time to be looking back at what happened. Quickly, not letting anything else distract her she made her way to the stairwell and quickly opened the 'exit only' door. "Hey, sorry." She sighed as she peeked her head out to see Dean leaning against the wall looking oh so cool as he finished tapping up his hands.
"What took you?" He asked as he pushed himself off the wall. "I thought you forgot about me for a moment."
"Never." She smiled. "Just had a moment."
He drew his brow together. "You ok?"
She nodded her head. "Yeah, I just realized that this is where we met?"
He cocked his head and looked around before recognition cover his eyes. "Ah. Well what do you know, we did meet here." He tossed his roll of tape into her laptop bag before draped his arm over her shoulders and pulled her out of the stairwell. "Man, this live makes everything a blur."
"Yeah."
"Well maybe if I don't get kicked out, we should make some new memories here so the next time we come; we'll remember."
"You really think you're not going to get kicked out tonight?" She laughed. "I'm just hopping they don't call the police."
"Eh." He shrugged that off. "We're close enough to Cincinnati; I got some boys on the inside that will let me out."
Angel took a deep breath and tried to not think about Dean getting arrested. "Go ruin Seth's night. I gotta go talk to Racheal."
"I'll meet you by the car." He gave her a quick kiss before taking off down the hall, not even slightly trying to stay hidden.
"Please don't get arrested."
D.D.D.
"Dean, you're not supposed to be here." Hank sighed as he passed a clipboard off to another worker.
"Yeah, I know. So how about it?" He asked leaning on a travel case.
"Only those already scheduled for the show are allowed on the show." He stated checking his watch. "The Authority…"
"The Authority isn't here." He smiled at the man.
"Dean."
"Come on Hank. I'll let Seth get out the announcement before I go out. Play my music and give me a mic."
He watched as the man closed his eyes and bowed his head. "You'll go out when I cue your music, not before. I don't care what Seth says, you have to wait. The Authority will already be chopping heads off for you just being here. If Seth doesn't get to finish the announcement it will be more then heads getting chopped."
Dean's smile turned to a smirk. "Deal." He clapped his hands.
"Shit." Hank cursed as he gestured for him to follow him. As they got closer to the gorilla, Dean noticed that he was getting strange looks. It was like the crew members were trying to figure out what he was doing here. "Que up Dean Ambrose's theme song." Hank ordered when they finally got the gorilla.
"But." He heard something rebuttal.
"I said que it up." Hank said with more force this time.
"Yes, sir."
Hank exhaled and sat in a chair near on of the screens that was wired into broadcast. "Please, god let this be a good show." He prayed as he put on a headset.
Cracking his neck and getting himself ready for whatever was about to happen, Dean turned to watch the show as Seth got into the ring. Anger filled him almost instantly as he watched the smug bastard standing there in his all black suit. At least he wasn't wearing his Shield gear anymore.
"Guys, you don't even know what I came out here to say, alright. Give me a break."
"I'll give you a break alright." Dean mumbled.
"No really, I came out here to congratulate my former business partner Roman Reigns." Seth smirked as the crowd cheered. "Yeah, I know. Last night on raw Roman had a hell of a night. He out fox Vicki Guerrero and then after that he scrapped, and he clawed and he fought. He out lasted every other Superstar and he won the qualifying battle royal and he earn a spot in the ladder match for the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship at Money in the Bank." He nodded as the crowd once again cheered.
What's he playing at? Dean wondered. Seth was being too nice to Roman.
"My hats off to you Roman because you also were not supposed to be in that match. Which mean's you crossed the authority, and when you cross the authority there are repercussions. And this coming Monday on Raw you will face, every single one of repercussions that are coming to you."
There it is. Dean cracked his knuckles.
"And don't think for one second, Roman that you're going to skate out of this one, ok. Don't think that your going to be so cool and calm and everything going to be alright because you're Roman Reigns. Well guess what, I know who Roman Reigns is, I know what Roman Reigns is."
Dean took a deep breath, in order to control his anger as he waited for the lies to start. How did he know that this wasn't going to be just a simple promo to make an announcement on behalf of the Authority? Just like he couldn't give up a chance to get his hands on Seth, Seth couldn't give up a chance to put him and Roman down in order to make himself seem better.
"Roman Reigns is a volcano. Roman Reigns has a rage inside of him that should keep every single one of you up at night, knowing you got to walk the same streets as this guy. Roman Reigns is an angry soul and I am the only person to knows how to control Roman Reigns. I am the only one who knows how to harness that anger, I am the only one who knows how to manipulate Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Oh, Dean Ambrose."
"Yeah, what?" Dean gritted through his teeth.
"Without me controlling Dean Ambrose, he's a babbling buffoon. He's a lunatic, he's out of his mind, he's bound to end up in a straight jacket, or in some insane asylum somewhere. And Angel's going to end up right there with him. God, that poor thing. To love someone as crazy and out of his mind as Dean… She really needs help."
"You mother…"
"Dean!" Hank called over Seth's words. "You made a deal."
Dean glanced back at Hank and realized that he was a bit farther away then before. Blinking he looked around and saw that he apparently had moved towards the curtain that separated the gorilla from the stage and hadn't realized it.
Nodding, he took a big step back and ran his fingers through his hair in order to gain some sort of control back. Just a little longer Dean.
"I am the only one who can control Roman and Dean. I control them, when for two years I was the leader of the greatest group in WWE history, the Shield. And two weeks ago, I showed why I still in control." Seth said as the screen played a video package of Seth betraying them.
As he relived once again the moment that haunted his dreams, he felt something small and soft touch his arm. His head snapped down to see Angel standing there looking a little out of breath.
"Hey." She smiled.
"Hey. How did your meeting go?"
She quickly pulled her laptop bag off and placed it on the table next to where Hank was sitting and waved to the man who was talking about technical things over the headset. "It went fine. Nothing groundbreaking, but Rachel liked my idea of using your signature as a logo."
"Cool." He tried to sound supportive, but his mind was not there.
"You ok?" She frowned at the screen. "I would have expected you to go down by now…"
"I promised, I would wait until Seth said his piece."
"Ah."
"Yep."
"That bad." Her hand trailed down to his locked fist.
Seth's laugh drew both their attentions back to the screen. "You know, I never get tired of seeing that. But on to something more important. Everybody knows that at Money in the Bank there will be a WWE World Heavy Weight Championship ladder match and the field is already set for that match. But I have a surprise, I have announcement for ya. In addition to that ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view there will be a second ladder match!" The crowd cheered. "That's right. And this one will be a traditional Money in Bank contract ladder match. Where above this very ring will hang a briefcase containing contract for a shot at the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship. And even better news then that…" He said as that smug as look came to his face. "Guess who the first entrant is…."
"Well there is it." Hank sighed as he rose from his chair. "A deal's a deal." He said holding out a mic.
Slowly Dean reached out and took the thing. "Thanks." Glancing back at the screen one last time but he couldn't focus on what the man was saying, he knew it had something to do with him being in the contract ladder match but that was it. All he heard was the man's annoying voice drone on for a little longer before the words that made his skin crawl and his blood boil came. "best for business."
That loud slide of a guitar that was now his que started up and he didn't hesitate as he stepped through the curtains and out onto the stage. "You don't need to worry about Money in the Bank in ten days Seth." He said not stopping. "You just need to worry about surviving the next ten minutes." He smacked the mic out of his hands before taking off into the ring and plowing right into the Seth.
Not carrying about the hits he was receiving, he threw his fist very which way, as long as they connect with Seth it was good enough for him. When Seth tired to get to his feet, he latched onto the man a tossed him back down onto the mat with more punches. Only stopping when an explosion sounded through the arena.
Scrambling to his feet, Dean quickly made his way towards the ropes to see Kane coming out onto the stage. However, that wasn't the only thing he saw, Angel was slowly backing away from the man in the mask, trying to make it to the ramp.
Before he could make another move, something knocked him from behind, knocking him right down to the mat. Groaning, Dean looked up just in time to see Seth's foot coming down on his foot.
"You think you can get the drop on me." Seth gritted with each hit. "I'll teach you, you lunatic." Dean tried to fight back as Seth pulled him up onto his hands and knees. He knew that he was trying to set him up for a Curb Stomp, he also knew that normally Seth's opponent would have to be warn down a lot more before the move worked properly.
Proving that fact right, Dean rose to his feet as soon as Seth pulled away use the ropes for momentum. Taking the small window that Seth and giving him, Dean knocked Seth down just long enough to take care of Kane who was climbing up onto the apron with a dropkick. He turned back to Seth just in time for catch the man running towards him and use the man's own momentum to throw him over the top rope and onto Kane who tried to catch him.
Adrenaline rushed through him, making it hard to catch his footing as he eyed up the two men who were on the floor in front of him. He had to smirk at himself, the Authority had another 'plan b' but this one didn't work. He had gotten the one up this time and had made sure that Seth knew that even with the Authority's power, he wasn't safe.
As much as he was rearing to go, as Seth and Kane got to their feet and started for the ring. He knew that two on one wasn't going to work out in his favor. He knew the number game better then most. Waiting until they both made the move to get into the ring, he quickly rolled out, meeting Angel who wisely decided to stand near the corner of the barricade.
"Come on, baby." He said as he grabbed her wrist and tucked her behind him as he walked backwards to the ramp. When he thought she was a safe distance away from the ring, he let go of her and slowed down so that he could enjoy watching Seth and Kane realize their plan didn't work. "Come on." He goaded. "Why don't you come up this ramp, huh?"
A hand on his back made him stop and look back at Angel with a smirk. "I think I pissed them off."
"I would say so." She laughed as they both watch Seth flip out.
When finally, their music died down, they both turned to head backstage only to be met with Hank who was looking a lot more tired then he had when he saw him last. "Got that out of your system?" He asked holding up Angel's computer bag.
"Yeah." He said taking it for her. "Thanks again."
"Yeah, yeah." He waved it off. "Get out of here before the guards come and forcefully remove you both."
"Sure thing."
"See you later Hank." Angel smiled at the man.
"As long as it's not for the rest of this show."
They quickly made their way toward the talent entrance. The guard sitting there gave both of them a weird look as they passed. No doubt because he's been sitting there since before the call time and he didn't see Dean come in.
"Have a good night, my man. Keep up the good work. There are some real bad eggs in this company that like to make a mess." Dean waved as Angel stifled a giggle.
Silentmayhem: I'm glad you think Angel is perfect for Dean! That means a lot. I'm trying to figure out how to show that WWE is promoting them. Because I agree they would be pushed as a couple.
Katara melody Cullen: I'm always super happy when you give me a lengthily review because I know I've done something write. I always love to see your "Great Chapter" as well but it just makes me feel a little more special! It makes me happy that you got into the match even though you watched in on TV before. I'm trying to add spice to the shows since everyone knows whats happens. Thanks for the Review.
Labinnacslove: Dean does deserve to shine! And he does even with all the stuff against him.
MarshWolffe: I am planning to keep going, some days are harder to work on things than others. So it might take longer but I'll get there. I'm so glad you like the story! That makes me happy.
Sonia: Hey, I'm glad you like the chapter. I want to have a chapter pretty much about their emotions but those are harder to write for me because I have to figure out how Dean would react. I do have a moment that I think Dean will tell her he loves her, unless I see another moment that fits its not for a bit of time. I hope that ruin it.
BrookeWorm3: I do like Jon's new theme as well! For a sequel it would be hard because of my story being Kayfabe but not only that but AWE doesn't have a place I can watch all the past episodes and pay-per-views. If they end up with a Network type thing I will most certainly make a story with Moxley. I have a AU story in my head with Moxley. It might come out but that's just more to pile up, so i don't know.
