Sunday: June 22, 2014/Monday Night Raw: June 23, 2014
"Don't get me wrong, I love house shows. They can be really fun, and the fans are normally really hyped up for the show, but I can't help but feel like it's boring compared to the televised stuff." Nikki complained as she sipped her coffee. "Less than half the roster is here and the matches don't make sense."
"Hey at least you have a match tonight." Paige sighed.
"Yeah but it's against Rosa, not that I have any problems with facing her but it's just another random match that means nothing." A smirk appeared on Nikki's face as she looked at Paige. "I would rather face you, at least that would mean something."
"Bring it, girly."
Angel rolled her eyes at the girls gathered at the table around her for their impromptu girls' morning. They're travel schedules have been crazy for the last couple of days, they were in Columbus for Smackdown, traveled to Reading PA for the house show yesterday, and today they were in Delaware; only to have to travel to Washington D.C. for Raw tomorrow. It was safe to say they didn't have much time to meet up and hang out, so they decided to take over catering and have their own makeshift 'Girls' Brunch'. However, this time it was only the four of them due to Brie not being here and Natalya being on team b for house shows, which meant she was in Philly right now. Still it was a breath of fresh air.
Smiling at herself as Paige and Nikki locked hands for an arm-wrestling match, she leaned over to Renee and loudly whispered. "You think we should get a behind the scene's camera here? This is the Diva' champ Paige taking on Nikki Bella. Talk about a match."
"Think of the ratings on this one." Renee played along. "Oh, it looks neck and neck. It's anyone's game."
"Paige goes for an early lead, pulling Nikki's arm down by centimeters, can Nikki gain them back?" Angel said giving a play by play that made everyone laugh. "Laughter has entered the playing field; this can make or break an opponent."
"You're right, I watched laughter ruin a match between two of the greatest arm wrestlers in the world back at ArmMania." Renee added. "I wonder if this one will be effected in the same way."
Watching intensely to the 'match', Angel noticed as Nikki brought her free hand into the mix. "Wait! We have an interference!" She pointed at the hand. "Nikki's left hand! That's an illegal move, call the match, ring the bell." She mimicked the gesture of a ref calling for the bell.
"And your winner, by disqualification is Paige." Renee raised Paige's hand up in the air. "Do you want to tell your opponent anything?"
Paige took the invisible mic from Renee. "You almost had me. You really did." She said acting out of breath. "But you had to cheat, and it cost you the win."
Nikki pouted. "I'll win next time and I will claim the WWE Divas' Arm-Wrestling Championship." Everyone laughed as she flubbed over her words. "Wow that was a mouth full."
"Almost as much as the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship." Angel stated, which made her realize just how much she had been hearing about the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship ladder match at Money in the Bank; she was surprised she wasn't hearing the words in her sleep.
"Speaking of that," Paige said stretching her arm. "We all know that Roman's in the championship ladder match, but what's Dean going to do? There's not much time left, is he going to have to take a random match?"
Angel shrugged her shoulders; she had been sort of wondering this herself. "I know he wants in the Money in the Bank ladder match with Seth, but I'm not sure how that's going to play out. Hunter seems really invested into this pay-per-view and I'm sure he wouldn't want to risk his plans by putting Dean in the match." But that didn't mean that Dean wasn't going to be a part of that match one way or another, and she had a couple of plans to make that happen. One was to go over Hunter's head and ask Vince McMahon himself to put Dean in the match. Since Vince told Hank he liked Dean, she was hoping he would override Hunter's choice, however that was just one of the ideas they had come up with.
"Oh! He should wear that hoodie that you wanted to buy him." Nikki clapped her hands interrupting her thoughts. "Renee showed me the picture, I think that he'll look great in it. You did buy it, right?"
She nodded. "I did and I already gave it to Racheal to work her magic."
"What's with him and sleeves?"
"Wouldn't you get rid of all your sleeves if you had arms like him?" Renee asked.
Both girls nodded.
"Hey ladies." Speak of the Devil. Angel looked up to see him standing over her with a small smile on his face. "I'm not here to ruin your girls' brunch or whatever your calling this…" He gestured to the table. "I just need the keys to the car."
"What do you need with the car?" She asked concerned even as she grabbed her purse off the floor and dug through to find the keys.
"I ran out of tape." He held up is left hand which was only half wrapped. "I think I have some more in my suitcase."
"If not, there is some in mine." Ever since she started as the Shield's manager, she made sure to have at least one roll of extra athletic tape for Dean, just in case.
"Thanks." He took the keys before giving her a kiss on the forehead. "Ladies." He waved.
She smiled as she watched him walk out of catering only to be spooked by Nikki's squeal. "That was so cute!" Angel's eyes snapped to the woman who had a hand over her heart. "You two are like a couple in a soap. A crazy bad boy street fighter who only cares about one thing, fighting, that is until this cute little thing with a girl next door feel to her comes out of nowhere and rocks his world."
"I know!" Renee happily joined in. "I would watch that show. Although I feel like I already am." She winked.
"Why do you always make a big deal about Dean and I? You know we're not the only Couple in WWE." She thrusted her arms out to Nikki.
Nikki acted surprised by the call out. "You're right, you're not the only couple in WWE but you are the hottest new thing and I would have to say after John and me, the cutest."
"Oooo, I'm going to tell Brie." Renee teased.
"Go for it, she knows how I feel about them."
Renee raised a brow at the woman who suddenly started to pout. "Are you sure you're not just mad about her quitting?"
"She's at home taking care of her husband. How could I be upset about that?" She paused when everyone gave her a look of disbelief. "Even if Brie was here, her and Daniel aren't as cute as Dean and Angel. Trust me, as someone who has to see them together outside of all this, it's…" She made a fake gag sound.
"Well how do you know how Angel and Dean are 'outside of all this'?" Paige asked.
"Brie and Daniel talk about all this healthy meditating, good for the planet crap when their together. If I have to hear one more conversation about plastic straws," She took a deep breath. "I'm sure you two don't talk about that kind of shit, do you?"
Angel shook her head. "No." The only thing she could think of that was remotely close to that would be Dean's love for Nevada's deserts.
"See." Nikki pointed at her. "Just that alone makes them cuter."
"Well, that's them now. You have to take into consideration that they're in that new girlfriend/new boyfriend honeymoon stage and that talking about 'healthy meditation, good for the planet crap isn't on their mind right now, give them a few months."
Angel blushed. "Renee."
Renee laughed. "Awe, don't get embarrassed we've all been there."
Nikki nodded. "Those first few months where you're learning about each other are the best. Trying to learn what makes each other tick and finding those sensitive spots." She seemed to be reminiscing about something.
Angel knew what she was talking about, it was fun when she found out something about Dean, like when she realized that he likes a bit of pain. It made her feel that fire in her belly, those wonderful beetterflies that had become her friends over the last few months.
"Doors are opening in ten minutes!" Someone called into catering.
"Crap!" Angel jumped from her seat and grabbed her purse. "I hate to run, but Dean, Roman, and I are part of the VIP experience."
"You're good! Go make those fans happy."
Angel smiled at the women sitting at the table. "Good luck tonight, Nikki! See you guys later." She said taking off to find the boys. However, she didn't get too far before seeing both brooding men hanging out in the hallway.
"There she is." Roman smirked as he noticed her walking towards them.
"You ready to go?" She asked as she placed her purse down with their gym bags.
Dean nodded as he licked his lips.
When they got to the area that they were using for the VIP Experience, Angel pulled the curtain back for the makeshift greenroom and her eyes widened as she saw the other WWE Superstar that was joining them; Sheamus. She swallowed as she looked at the Irish man, the last time they had to deal with him wasn't a happy moment. Her eyes flickered to the United States Championship belt that was sitting on the chair next to the man.
Seeming to notice them, Sheamus's head perked up. "Hey, fellas." He gave a small smile.
"Hey man." Roman said back.
"Sup." Dean pursed his lips.
An uncomfortable feeling suffocated Angel as they sat down. Shuffling in her seat, she looked up at Dean who seemed to be in his own head as he slumped back into his chair. She when to reach out for him, when she heard a loud group of people coming into the area next to them. Suddenly the dread of the situation washed from her and was replaced with excitement. She loved meeting fans.
The crew member in charge came back into the 'room'. "Sheamus we're going to start with you."
"Alright." Sheamus said as he grabbed his title and stood up to follow the man. As soon as he walked through the curtain a mix of cheers came.
When Angel let out a deep breath, Dean looked over at her and raised a brow. "You ok?"
She nodded. "Just didn't enjoy the tension there."
"Tension?" Roman questioned. "What tension?"
"Between you guys and Sheamus."
"There's no tension between us."
Angel frowned. "What do you mean, I could feel it the moment we saw him."
Dean shrugged. "I don't know what you felt but we're cool."
"Cool? How? How are you cool with what happened?" Angel asked. "You lost your title to him."
"I did." Dean said like it was no big deal to him, but she knew it was. "But it's not like he cheated me out of it. He won it fair in square. The Authority are the ones who screwed me over, not him." She nodded realizing what he was saying. "Plus, as much as I would like to get the title back, I'm kind of busy with something else."
Seth. "So, all that tension was just me?"
"Yep."
"Great."
After a bit of time, Sheamus came back into the greenroom. "Good crowd." He said before walking out to get ready for the show.
"Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Angel Miles are we ready?" They all rose to their feet. "Alright everyone, we have a special treat for you tonight." She heard just as Dean pushed back the curtain and they were greeted with cheers. "Just like with Sheamus, autographs first, then we will move the table and start pictures."
"Are all of us going to fit?" Roman laughed looking at the small table in front of them.
"If it wouldn't make signing things hard, I would say Angel could sit on my lap." Dean smirked.
"We'll make it work." She shook her head as she pulled one of the chairs to the far end of the table. Once they all got settled, the space was tight, but they made it work as the fans started to file through. They signed; posters, pictures, random pieces of paper, toys, shirts, hats, you name it they signed it, they had even signed someone's pillowcase for whatever reason.
"Hey." Angel smiled as a shy looking little girl came up to the table. She noticed that she was holding a piece of paper protectively in her hands while the man who she pegged as the girl's father carried a WWE autograph book. "What's your name?"
"Mary." The little girl said in the smallest voice.
"Hi, Mary." She put her hand out for a handshake. "Nice to meet you."
"What do you say?" Her dad asked the little girl.
"Nice to meet you too." She mumbled with a blush.
"Show her your drawing." The dad whispered loudly. The blush grew on the girl's face as she placed the piece of paper up on the table.
"You drew this?" Angel asked glancing down to see a drawing, in what looked like crayon, of two people holding hands. The man had messy hair and bright blue eyes while the girl had brown hair and green eyes. "Is this me and Dean?"
The little girl nodded as her eyes flickered away. "Yeah. I drew it while watching you two on the TV."
"It's so good." Angel's heart fluttered. "Do you want me to sign it?"
"No." She shook her head. "It's for you."
"Awe, thank you." She said as Mary's eyes flickered again.
This time Angel noticed that she was looking at the man to her right; judging by the blush that appeared each time and the way she played with her shirt, someone had a crush. "Do you like Dean?"
Mary's eyes snapped back to her and she shuffled in her spot. "I-I…um." Her face turned crimson.
"It's ok, I like him too." Angel winked at her. "So, what do you like about him?"
"He's funny when he dances around." She said without hesitation.
"I think so too." Angel said trying to control the little squeal that was trying to make its way out. "Anything else?"
Mary nodded. "He's cute."
She had to stop herself from bursting out in laughter; she knew it was probably the only way the young girl knew how to describe someone that she thought was attractive but calling Dean cute was just too adorable.
"Yeah?' She glanced up at the girl's father.
"He's all she talks about." He stated.
"Awe." Angel elbowed Dean under the table, getting his attention.
"What's up?"
"Look at this amazing picture that Mary drew for us."
He looked down and the smile that she was trying to get from him appeared on his face, the one where those dimples came out. "This is for us?" He looked at Mary. Flustered, Mary looked down at the floor and nodded. "Awesome."
Leaning over, Angel whispered into his ear. "Someone has a crush."
"Ah." He nodded. "Can we take a picture with it later?" He asked without missing a beat.
"S-sure."
Angel giggled to herself as she signed the book that Mary's father put down in front of her. "There you go."
"Thank you very much." He smiled back at her as they made their way down the line.
Not able to contain her giddiness, she turned to the next person in line with a huge smile.
A little later when all the fans had cycled through, the crew members came to take the table and chairs away for pictures.
Pictures went as they normally did. Some fans were too scared to get too close while others came right up into their space. A lot of the girls wanted to pose between Roman and Dean, which she didn't blame them for, in fact she would probably do the same.
After waving at the young couple that just took a picture with them, Angel noticed that it was Mary's turn. "Hey, Mary." She greeted the very flustered looking girl. As the boys greeted her and her father, Angel grabbed the drawing from the small pile of gifts only to come back into the fold as Dean and Roman tried to figure out how they were going to pose with the different heights. She was already more than a foot shorter than the two men and now they had this small thing that didn't come up to her own hip to add into the equation.
Just when she went to suggest that everyone crouched, Dean stepped up and looked at Mary's dad. "Can I pick her up?"
"I trust that you're strong enough not to drop her." The man laughed as he gently pushed his daughter forward.
Dean knelt in front of the girl. "Turn around." She did what she was told, and Dean scooped her up on his shoulder.
Angel gave a fake gasp and put her hand on her hip. "That's normally my spot." She teased, moving close to Dean's side while holding up the drawing.
After the picture was taken, Dean set Mary back on her feet and gave her a wink before they were quickly shuffled off.
"I thought that girl was going to pass out." Roman leaned in.
"I have that effect on girls."
D.D.D.
The VIP Experience was going well; all of the fans seemed cool and they made a little girl's day. Of course Angel would pick up on the fact that she had a crush on him; that was just like the woman. Though, he didn't mind; he thought it was cute. Just as cute as he thought Angel was as she met with the fans. Each time a new person came up to them, she had a bright smile on her face as she took the time to listen to whatever they wanted to say and admired whatever they brought to be signed. She was like a bubble of happiness.
Pictures went pretty much the same way. She was always the first one to greet the fans before they posed for a picture or a short video. He wondered where she got all this energy from, because boy she didn't have it last night or this morning at the gym.
"Hey guys!" She said to the next group of fans in line. It was the group of teenagers who he remembered from the signings because they were all wearing different vintage wrestling tees and because the one in the Stone Cold shirt gave her a look that he wasn't quite happy with. Shaking his head, he watched as each of the teenagers gave her a hug, which was normal. Almost everyone did it, but what wasn't normal was the lingering hug that the Stone Cold kid gave her.
"We doing anything special for this photo?" He asked trying to break the hug. Jealous? Really Ambrose? You've had girls hanging on you this entire time and you're jealous of a hug. He yelled at himself. Well now he couldn't make fun of Angel for getting jealous of those girls back in Glasgow.
Each of the boys looked at each other before shaking their heads.
With his question answered, they quickly got into the typical group shot. Two of the teens stood between him and Roman while the other two stood between him and Angel; and wouldn't you know it Stone Cold kid made sure he was next to her.
Biting the inside of his cheek, he forced himself to face forward for the photo. After taking a photo on each of the teen's phones, Dean took a step back without even realizing it. His eyes landed on Angel and the kid to see that he had thrown his arm around her shoulders. Which is fine. Fans do that all the time. They did, but for some reason this kid bothered him. He tried to reign himself in, but when the kid didn't remove his arm right away, he found it harder than he would have liked.
"He's just a kid." He heard Roman whisper in his ear.
Dean nodded. A kid who needs to remove his arm from my girl.
"That's so cool!" Angel said happily.
He didn't know what she was talking about, didn't care. He was going to make a point. Stepping around the other teen who he hoped wasn't trying to talk to him, Dean walked up to Angel's side. "Hey," He said catching both her and the kid's attention. "Can you grab the pack of gum out of my jacket, this one's gotten stale."
"Sure." She nodded before pulling away from the kid to do what he asked.
"You're a Stone Cold fan?" He asked turning back to the kid.
"Um, yeah." He looked down at his shirt. "He's my favorite."
"Yeah, one of mine too." He tried his hardest to act civil.
Suddenly a pack of gum was being waved in his face. "Here."
Looking back at Angel, he smiled and took the pack from her. "Thanks, babe." He leaned down to kiss her temple. "Nice meeting you, kid." He patted the boy on his shoulder.
When he got back to his spot next to Roman, the big man was shaking his head. "Subtle."
"Shut up." Dean gritted his teeth before putting the pack of gum in his back pocket.
A.A.A.
Angel laughed from her slightly curled up spot in the passenger seat, as they played their normal game of random questions while they drove from one location to the next. "Your turn, Dean."
She watched as the man thought for a moment. "Favorite movie. Ro, you don't need to answer this one."
"Good because it hasn't changed since the last time. Wolf of Wall Street."
"Angel?"
She took a deep breath and answered the question honestly even though she knew that they were going to make fun of her for it. "Hercules."
"The Disney movie?" Roman laughed from the back.
"Yes, the Disney movie, what's wrong with that?"
"Nothing, my daughter really likes that movie too."
"Hey! Don't start. Disney is for all ages."
"Sure."
"It is."
Dean chuckled from his spot. "I think the last Disney movie I saw was Aladdin, back when it came out."
"Really?" She gave a fake gasp.
"Yeah. At least I think it was Aladdin…There's like that song with the Genie or something where he takes off his head and juggles it."
"That sounds like you were high on drugs." Roman stated.
"I was like six or something."
"No, he's right. The Genie does that in the song A Friend Like Me."
"Alright. I don't know which is more impressive, the fact that Dean remembers that or that you knew what song it was from without a second thought."
"What can I say, I'm a Disney kid."
"I can see this."
"If you think this is something, you should see her room." Dean declared.
"That bad?"
"No!" She defended.
"The thing is covered in Disney and WWE shit."
She blushed. "I told you I haven't updated the place since I was in middle school."
Dean stuck his tongue out at her. "I know."
"Dick."
"Oooohh." Roman gasped. "Did you just call him a dick?"
She pouted. "Maybe."
"Dude, she's really starting to get a potty mouth."
"When we get to the hotel, we'll wash it out with soap." Dean winked at her before turning back to the road.
Another laugh came from the back seat as something hit her headrest. "Your turn Babygirl."
Wrinkling her nose at the man she sighed. "Umm…" She tried to think of a random question. "Would you rather wear a tutu in the ring or heels."
"Can I take them off once in the ring?"
"You can take off the heels but not the tutu, you have to wear that the whole time."
Roman nodded at the stipulation. "Crap, that makes this harder."
"No, it doesn't." Dean shook his head. "It's very simple, you go with the tutu."
"Yeah but,"
"No buts, think about it, bro; you have to walk through the crowd, down steps. Do you really think you can do that in heels?" Dean asked. "Not for nothing, I'm going to say fat chance on that one. Girls sell their souls to the devil to walk in those things."
Angel laughed. "Some girls do, others just break their ankles like everyone else."
"Well I guess I got to go tutu then." Roman sighed.
Angel uncurled herself and looked at the man in the back. "What do you have against tutus?"
"Yeah man, surely you've worn one already, you have a daughter."
"Nah." Roman shook his head. "She told me I'm not allowed to dress up with her because I'll rip her dress-up clothes since I'm so big. And I don't have anything against tutus, it's just I'm trying to picture wrestling in it. It would get caught and ripped."
"You're worried about the tutu getting caught and ripped?"
"Yeah if I'm wearing a tutu then it has to look good." He said proudly making her laugh.
"Alright Ro, fire away."
"Go to karaoke song?" He said clearly already having that one queued up.
"Easy." Dean tapped on the steering wheel. "Sweet Caroline or White Wedding."
"I wasn't asking you." Roman patted Dean's headrest.
Angel pursed her lips. "I don't think I have one."
"What? Nothing, what about a Disney song? You seem to know those pretty well."
"You asked my go to karaoke song, not just a song I could do." She pointed out.
"Fine." He rolled his eyes. "Name a song that you would do karaoke to."
She sniffed and shrugged. "I still have no idea; all I can think of right now is Disney songs, since you brought it up."
"Well pick one."
"Go the Distance or Won't say I'm in love from Hercules."
"Hercules again?" Dean snickered.
"Shut up, it's the only thing I can think of right now."
"Can't you see her going to a bar on karaoke night and asking them to play a song from Hercules?" He looked at Roman through his rearview mirror.
"Totally could."
"I wouldn't sing Disney at a bar."
"Then what would you sing?"
"I don't know, I've never done karaoke in public."
"What!" Roman gasped. "Dude we have to right this wrong."
"Yes, we do." Dean agreed.
...
Angel let out a yawn as she watched through the mirror as Leslie Homan from the makeup department brushed her hair. "Someone didn't sleep very well last night."
"Long drives do that to me." She sighed rubbing her neck.
"Oh, I understand." Leslie chuckled.
When the woman took a break, Angel shifted in her chair. Normally she wasn't one to wear makeup or get her hair professionally done for the shows, but they had a photoshoot today and she wanted to be prepared for it unlike last time.
"Alright, ladies!" Dean clapped his hands as he plopped down in the chair next to her. "Work your magic. I wanna be ruggedly handsome, like Brad Pitt mixed with Russell Crow."
Everyone in the makeup area laughed. "Alright, Dean we'll do our best."
"Dean if you're Brad Pitt mixed with Russell Crow, then who is Angel, Angelina Jolie?"
"Nah." He shook his head as he pretended to fix his hair in the mirror. "More like Keira Knightly mixed with Michelle Rodriguez."
Leslie laughed. "Those are two very different people. And I'm not sure if Angel fits them."
"I'm surprised that you know Michelle Rodriguez's name let alone Keira Knightly." Angel added.
"Oh, come on Letty and the chick from Pirates of the Caribbean, of course I know them." He said like he was the most in touch person in the world, which he was not.
Leslie shook her head as she started brushing her hair again. "So, let me see if I got this right; you're thinking cute but sexy. I think I can work with that."
"Nothing to work with, she's already there." Dean smiled wide, making Angel blush. "See there it is."
"Dean Ambrose and Angel Miles, Rich is ready for you."
"Give me two minutes to finish." Leslie told the man. "I just want to put a little eyeshadow on you to bring out your eyes more." She said doing just that. It took everything in Angel's will power not to scrunch up her face, she didn't wear makeup, at least nothing more than foundation on a very bad skin day, so this felt very strange to her. Leslie put down her brush and looked her over. "You're good."
"Thanks." Angel hopped out of the chair as she blinked a thousand times. Looking into the mirror for a second, she ran her fingers through her hair and tried to take in the eyeshadow. One she took it all in, she turned towards Dean. "How do I look?"
He leaned forward and brought his hand to his chin. "Looks good. I like it." He nodded. However, as they walked out of the hair and makeup area, he reached over and ruffled her hair.
"Hey!" She swatted at him. "I just got that done."
"I know."
"I thought you said that you liked it?" She tried to fix what he had done.
"Oh, I do, but I also like it a little messy."
"Come on, I was trying to look good for the photoshoot."
"You always look good; you don't need a professional to brush your hair and paint your face."
She sighed. "Too much?"
"Nah, when I said it looked good, I meant it. Just wanted to put a little more you into the look."
As they walked into the specially lit area, Angel's eyes landed on WWE's lead photographer Rich Freeda who she got to know over the last couple of house shows, when they literally bumped into each other while circling the ring during Dean's match. It surprised her that it took this long for her to run into the man.
"Hey, Rich!"
"There's the couple I was looking for." Rich turned around with his camera in hand. "Ok so, here's the plan; we're going to start with Dean before getting a couple shots of the two of you together, then finish up with Angel by herself, sound good?"
"Sounds good." She smiled.
As Rich set up for Dean's photos, Angel set up shop on the floor out of the way, so she could get some work done.
"Alright, Dean you know what to do." Rich said as Dean stepped onto the white backdrop. "Give me that, crazed, ready to fight, angry look." Dean turned around and gave Rich just what he asked for. "Yep, that's the one." Rich said slightly taken back but she couldn't blame him; the look was that of a real killer.
As they got set into their groove, she tried to focus on work, more flights to buy, more hotel rooms to book, more rental cars to rent, but her eyes kept going back to the photoshoot in front of her. Each time she looked up Dean was in a slightly new pose, with that same dark look on his face, and it was really distracting. Especially when Rich's assistant came over and rubbed lotion on his arms to make his muscles stand out more, which she didn't think he needed…but hey she wasn't going to argue with the professionals.
Work. Work. She shook her head. I need to book three tickets to…where are we going again after Money in the Bank? Her eyes were caught once again…
"Angel we're ready for you." Rich called her over.
"Oh!" She scrambled to her feet while trying not to break her laptop. "Coming." She rushed over to where Dean was standing. When she got close to him, she heard him chuckling as he lifted his arm for her to slide right under.
"Eager?" He snickered into her ear.
She rolled her eyes at him before turning towards Rich. "I was distracted and didn't want to make people wait."
"And here I thought you just really wanted to get into my arms." He smirked.
Flash.
"In your dreams big guy." She jokingly elbowed him.
"Dean can you move behind Angel?"
"Anytime." He leaned down to say right into her ear.
Flash.
Dean moved to do what he was told, and another flash came. Rich looked down at his camera and laughed. "Have you two ever realized you have a Beauty in the Beast type of thing going on. Not that I'm calling you a beast Dean."
"Oh, I know, I'm the beauty."
Angel gasped as she realized that that meant she was the beast. "Hey." She stuck her tongue out at him.
Flash.
"Beauty and the Beast?" Rich's assistant shook her head. "I see more of a Sandy and Danny from Grease."
"Grease?" Angel laughed. "You think Dean's a Greaser with that hair?" She pointed at the man's unmanageable mane.
"Didn't he used to slick it back?"
Dean nodded. "Back when I first debuted."
"Yeah and if memory serves me, it always took a long time for you to get it done." Rich added. "And it never stayed longer than a few minutes."
"Hey." Dean pursed his lips. "It was a mistake; I agree, but what was I supposed to do? I was in a group with two men who have long hair while I have a mop on my head."
"It's a cute mop." Angel stood up on her toes so she could ruffle it.
Flash.
"Alright guys, can we remake the shot from WrestleMania?" Rich said as he checked his camera.
"Shot from WrestleMania?" She drew her brows together as she tried to think of what he was talking about.
"Sure thing." Dean said as he twisted her in his arms and picked her up, her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist.
Realization hit her hard. "Oh." She blushed.
Flash.
"Something wrong?" Dean smirked at her.
"I'm not used to kissing for a picture."
"Neither am I." He shrugged as he pulled her closer and their lips met.

Dean saw the flash through what he expected to be both his eyelids and Angel's hair, but he didn't care. He didn't know if it was the pose that they were in or what, but all the passion that he could remember feeling at WrestleMania came back to him. The rush from the win, the adrenaline, the need, the want, all of it. He could almost hear the crowd cheering, could almost feel the mat under his feet. Could almost hear Roman and Seth…
Dean pulled back and the feelings washed away being replaced with the truth. He wasn't at WrestleMania, there wasn't a cheering crowd, wasn't a mat under him, and his brothers weren't with him… He pushed back the feeling of loss and held onto the only thing that was the same from that moment, Angel. Aggression ran through him as he squeezed her to him. That anger that had been taunting him since June second threatened to take him over once again.
Taking a deep breath, he looked at the woman in his arms and saw the light in her eyes, his anger seemed to simmer a bit. "Dean?" She cocked her head.
He knew she sensed his sudden change in mood, but he didn't want her to worry. Didn't want her to think she did something wrong. Tightening his hold on her, he let her fall backwards, so she was dangling upside down in his arms. "You son of a bitch." She squealed as she tried to grab onto him.
"Roman was right, you are getting a potty mouth." He joked.
Flash.
When he pulled her back up, her body swayed in his arms. "You're going to give me whiplash." She giggled as she clutched onto his shoulders.
After a few more pictures of them together, Rich called wrap on him. He walked away from all the lights and leaned against the wall next to Angel's laptop. Rubbing the back of his neck, Dean let out a groan. Now that he didn't have Angel in his arms, he didn't have her to chase away the feelings from before. That anger came racing back once again and the urge to punch the concrete wall behind him hit him so hard that the only thing he could do to contain it was his normal twitching and bouncing around.
Cursing, Dean gave his neck an erratic crack. He didn't know who he was madder at, Seth or himself. A good memory that he had with Angel was now ruined, but he didn't know whose fault it was. Was his anger justified by what happened? Or was it his own twisted mind playing with him? Shit. He ripped his fingers through his hair.
"Dean?"
He blinked at the group of people looking at him. "Sorry, what?"
"Can you show me how to start this." Angel asked holding up a roll of athletic tape.
Shaking himself back to reality he pushed himself from the wall. "You've seen me do this like a thousand times and you still need help." He picked on her, hoping to hide that he had been lost in his head again.
She rolled her eyes at him. "Just help me." She tossed the role of tape at him.
A.A.A.
After Rich cleared them to go, her and Dean went back to their things and got ready for the show. A show which could go one of two ways. Tonight, Hunter was going to announce which other Superstars were going to join Seth Rollins's in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and if Dean ends up being one of those Superstars everything ends up hunky dory but if not….Well they also had a plan b up their sleeve.
Speaking of which. "Should I go ahead and buy the tickets now or wait until we find out who's in the match?" She asked the man who was redoing the tape on his hands.
"I say buy them. If we're lucky there might be some front row seats left."
She nodded as she pulled her phone out and jumped on a travel case. As she googled Money in the Bank tickets, she noticed Dean pulling out his new hoodie. "You're going to wear it tonight?"
His eyes went from the hoodie to her. "You bought it for me to wear to the ring, right?"
"I did." She nodded.
"Then I'm going to wear it." He stated. She felt her heart flutter as he put it on. He adjusted it, smoothed it out, and threw a few test punches. "So." He turned towards her. "How does it look?"
Angel's jaw almost hit the floor as she looked at the man in front of her. She made him try on the thing when she first bought it to make sure it fit him, but this was the first time she had seen him in it since Racheal removed the sleeves and boy did he look good. Renee was right, someone with arms like him should never cover them. When she realized she was staring, she cleared her throat. "Looks good."
A smirk appeared on his face. "So, any luck with the tickets?"
"Oh!" She had almost forgot. Quickly glancing over the booking website, she saw that there were a few front row tickets still for sell, though they were pretty expensive. "How much are you willing to spend?" She looked up to meet Dean's gaze. There was a look on his face that said, 'what do you think?'. Meaning no price was too much to get the chance to ruin the match for Seth. "Right." She sighed and clicked on the cheapest lot. "Two tickets, floor, row A, camera side?"
"Buy them."
Taking a deep breath, she clicked add to cart and quickly put in Dean's card information just in case someone else tried to buy them. "Done." She stated as a green checkmark appeared on her phone. "I kind of hope that Hunter doesn't put you in that match now."
He snickered.
The show started and went on just like planned; starting off with Stephanie challenging Vickie to that mud fight, and before she knew it, it was time for Hunter's announcement. Angel and Dean stood next to one of the TVs backstage and watched as the COO made his way to the ring.
"It's funny that I can come to a place like Washington where officials are elected year after year that have no idea what they are doing and they make the country worse and worse, and yet I come here and I'm still the bad guy." Hunter started. "When all I really do is do what's best for business. That's not just some empty catchphrase it is the truth, it is at the root of everything I do. That's why at this Sunday at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, there will not only be a championship ladder match, there will be a traditional Money in the Bank contract ladder match."
"Yeah, yeah we get it." Dean tapped his fingers against his collarbone as Hunter explained what the Money in the Bank contract ladder match entails. "We all know how this works, been doing it for years. JUST ANNOUNCE THE SUPERSTARS IN IT, ALREADY!" As much as he played it off that he didn't care whether he was part of the match or not, Angel knew he really wanted in it. Not only because it meant he had a chance to hit Seth with a ladder but because he, just like many Superstars, wanted that contract, the contract that guaranteed him a shot at the WWE World Heavy Weight Championship.
"This past Wednesday, in my interview with Michael Cole on WWE dot com I announced that the first entrance in that ladder match would be none other than Seth Rollins. And I am here tonight to tell you the rest of the lineup for that match. And before you think I make my decisions based on favoritism, everybody in this match is in it because…and you can say it with me, it's best for business."
She heard Dean click his tongue. They already knew their answer, Dean wasn't in the match, because to the Authority he's not what's 'best for business'. Their assumption turned out to be right as Hunter listed off the Superstars; Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam, and Wade Barrett. He then announced that Seth was his favorite to win the match before Seth's music started up.
Dean's body went rigid as soon as Seth stepped out onto the stage, and it didn't help that they showed once again Seth's betrayal.
"Oh, come on, you guys aren't over it yet. Really? It's been three weeks since that happened. Give me a break…" Seth yelled at the crowd chanting 'you sold out'.
"I'll give you a break." Dean mumbled. "I'll break your nose, jaw, arms, legs, and then I'll break a fucking chair over your back, like you did to me."
"Or how about a ladder?" Angel added, trying to get him out of his own mind. "and what about doing it, possibly this Sunday?"
Dean turned slowly toward her with a dark smirk on his face. "That sounds like a wonderful idea baby." He cracked his knuckles. "But why wait, when they stationed those ladders so nicely for me…"
Rob Van Dam's music came through the speakers making them turn back to the screen. "Hi guys! Hunter, Seth." Rob said into the mic he was holding. "You know, I can't help but feel like you guys don't take me seriously."
"No, no Rob I take you very seriously." Seth shook his head. "In fact, I would take you more seriously if this was 2005."
"Oh right." Rob laughed. "Because that's when you were asking Mom and Dad to stay up late so you could watch me on TV because you wanted to be a wrestler. You might have forgot about this, but I happen to be a former Money in the Bank winner, actually I'm a former WWE Champion. And dude I know for a fact, that the man standing beside you totally remembers when I crushed his trachea at the first Elimination Chamber match."
"Shit, I remember that too." Dean grinned.
And just like that, a match was made between Seth and RVD.
"That's a good match up." Angel sighed.
"It is." He agreed.
"Wanna crash it?"
"Read my mind." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they walked away from the TV, not even worrying about the match that was taking place. Passing catering, Dean grabbed a water and wet down his hair before they made their way to the side entrance, the one that would have them coming out through the timekeeper's area. About halfway down the hallway, they noticed the security member that was stationed at the door to keep an eye on the fans. Sighing, Dean dropped his arm from around her. They both knew that if the man had the chance; he was going to stop them from going out this way.
"I'll meet you out there."
Dean nodded and took off for the entrance, ripping right past the guard. She followed as quick as she could behind him. As she passed the guard, she heard him sigh and say something into his walky talky, but she didn't care. By the time she got to the barricade, the bell to call the match had already been rung and Dean was in the middle of the ring beating up Seth.
"Angel, you need to get Dean out of there." She heard an official order her as she moved through the timekeeper's area.
She glanced back at the man. "You want me to get in the middle of that?" She pointed at the ring. "You're nuts."
"'Scuse me, darlin'" Dean said as he gently pushed her back while going after Seth who he dumped into the timekeeper's area.
"Sure thing." She happily stepped back so he had room to pull Seth over the barricade. Crossing her arms, she leaned back against the announcers' table and watched as Dean started in on Seth again.
"Angel, do something about him." JBL said loud enough that she could hear it.
She glanced over her shoulder at the two men sitting at the table. "Hiya!" She waved. "Having a good night?"
Michael Cole laughed as JBL gave her a weird look. "That girl's as crazy as Ambrose is. They both need straightjackets."
Rolling her eyes at the Texan, she turned back around to see that three officials were trying to pull Dean away from Seth. Key word was trying. "Hey, now!" She pushed away from the table and put herself into the mix. "Come on, let him go." She yelled at them. "Get off him. Hands off my client." She put herself between Dean and the lead ref Mike Chioda.
"Get him out of here." He told her.
"Yeah, I got him." She said pushing Dean back a bit more.
"I'm done." Dean said in between breaths as he held up his hands. "I'm leaving." He turned away from the refs. "Ready?" He mumbled as she stepped up next to him.
"When you are."
Dean took a deep breath, turned around and took off once again. He pushed past the officials who weren't quite ready for him, stepped up onto the announce table and used it to launch himself at Seth who was crawling to his feet.
He got a few good punches in before the officials were on him once again. As she tried to help Dean out of the mess of refs, she noticed Seth was making his way up the ramp.
D.D.D.
Adrenaline pumped through him as he tried to get away from the wall of officials that blocked his path. All he could see were stripes and arms at this point as they tried to push him backwards. "Get off me." He yelled into one of the refs' face as something grabbed his arm. Just when he was about to rip it out of whose ever grasp it was, he noticed the feeling of softness against him.
He looked back to see that it was Angel holding his arm against her chest. "Seth's getting away." She told him as soon as their eyes met.
Inhaling, Dean looked up to see that Seth was indeed getting away. He already made it to the top of the ramp. With no way to catch up to the man, Dean put in a last-ditch effort to get the officials off him and get into the ring. When no one stopped him, he stomped across the ring and over to the ropes.
Trying to calm himself down just enough that he wouldn't go running after the man who was already gone, he gripped the ropes hard. "Run to daddy!" He yelled. "Run to daddy." He knew that Seth was doing just that, he was running after his new 'sugar daddy' Triple H. Back to the safety of the Authority.
Daddy, Dean was mean to me. He DQed my match and punched me in the face a whole lot…Dean played out the scene in his mind. When Seth was out of sight, he turned around to order someone to give him a mic, only to stop when he was greeted with Angel already holding one out for him.
"Thanks." He said taking the thing before turning toward the main camera. Pausing for a moment to put together thoughts, he tapped his fingers against the mic. "They may as well go ahead and put me in that Money in the Bank ladder match right now, huh?" He stated earning cheers. "Cause if they don't, I'm still going to show up in Boston anyway, I'm still going to bash Seth Rollins's face in, I'm still going to grab that briefcase AND WALK OUT THE DOOR WITH IT. I WILL SCREW UP THAT ENTIRE PAY-PER-VIEW!" He threw the mic down and started to pace.
Angel's laughter spilled through the arena. "I wouldn't test him, Triple H." She said looking up at the stage. "We're showing up no matter what. We already bought our tickets!" She turned around to meet him as he finished a lap. "Thought we could make a date night of it. You know, go out to dinner, come to the show, watch some fights, beat up Seth, steal the Money in the Bank briefcase, and head out for some drinks. That sounds like a good night, doesn't it?" She held out her arm to show that she was asking the crowd. "I thought so." She laughed as they cheered. "Dean?"
He paused to take a deep breath and grabbed the mic from her once again. "We're coming to Money in the Bank regardless and we're not coming to play nice."
"You never play nice."
"Damn right, baby." He pulled her into him and kissed the top of her head.
