Welcome to Chapter One Hundred and Five. WOOT I hope you really like this one. Also just to remind you, since WWE Network moved to Peacock and it doesn't have all the episodes of the shows that I need, I have no idea what I'm going to do. I need Smackdown 2014 and they only have until 2019. Soooo yeah...
Friday: July 4, 2014/ Saturday: July 5, 2014
Angel had snuggled into on the canvas chairs as she watched Dean and Roman set up and set off their 'firework show', which consisted mainly of flashy fountains with a few mortars thrown in. When the first one went off, everyone even the two men lighting the fireworks jumped as it shot out of its tube and exploded in the air.
"Holy shit!" Dean laughed, sticking his tongue out. Of course, he would enjoy that.
Shaking her head, she took a sip out of the drink that Dean had so kindly brought her after he left her standing there looking like a fool in front of their friends. She groaned to her self as she thought back to it. How! She questioned. How could he make her lose her breath with just one comment? And it wasn't even an inherently sexual comment either, just the words 'I didn't mind'. It shouldn't have made a chill go down her spine or make her toes curl, but it did. Though she knew it has nothing to do with what he said, he could read the dictionary and before he got to the b's she would be panting. She was blushing just thinking about it.
When the boys set off another fountain, Angel perked up just in time to see Dean and Roman running from the firework. The men seemed more then happy about the fact that they were just missed being hit by the hot sparks that were flying threw the air. They pushed and smacked at each other as they laughed and turned towards the fountain.
"You ever wonder how those two men are almost thirty?" Renee laughed as she leaned over to her.
"Are you asking how they made it this far without dying or how they still have the mentality of a twelve-year-old, at the age of twenty-eight?"
"Both."
"Pure, fuck it all attitude and luck." Jon answered for her.
Angel smirked. "You might me on to something." She glanced back at the two men-children. And as if to prove their point, Dean rushed over to the fading fountain and jumped over it. "Luck. It's luck."
"You really are a lunatic, aren't you?" Roman laughed as he smacked Dean's chest.
"You dared me." Dean shrugged.
"I didn't think you would do it."
"Really? How long have you known me?"
Roman put pursed his lip and put his hand up. "You got me. My bad."
Dean smirked looking very pleased with himself and Angel couldn't help but smile back, even though she wanted to shake her head and yell at the man. But she just couldn't, there was just something contagious about his smile.
"Hey Roman, I would appreciate if you didn't get my boyfriend blown up. That would be great."
"I blame the alcohol and the long night because I was at tip top shape, I would have realized that I was talking to Dean and that he's just fucking insane and do whatever you dare him to." He said as he picked up his half empty drink.
"Is this true?" Paige's eyes widened. "You'll do anything you're dared to?"
Dean pursed his lips in thought. "Pretty much, within reason."
"And jumping over a freaking firework is within reason?" Roman exclaimed around his glass.
"It's not like it was big firework. What was the worst that could happen?"
"You could have died."
"Dying."
"Death."
"Exploding to death."
Everyone said at once.
Dean shook his head. "Nah."
"You can't just say 'nah', there was no telling if that firework was going to blow up…" Brandi tired to say but Renee put her hand out to stop her.
"You mean well and know that, but it's not worth it."
"At least someone gets me." Dean said as he walked over to Angel's chair. She watched him with her brow up as he leaned forward, put his hands on the armrest, and got right into her face.
"Can I help you?" She asked smelling the Jack Daniels on his breath.
"Did you like the show?"
"Which one? You and Roman or the fireworks?"
A pout came to his face. "The fireworks."
"I did."
"Good." He said with a kiss.
"Dean!" Paige called breaking them apart. "I dare you to do this again?" She turned her phone around.
Both Angel and Dean leant forward to see the screen better. Dean seemed to know exactly what the video that was paused was because he gave a weird groan and said, "You know I was extremely drunk doing that."
"I know." Paige smirked.
"Wait." Angel looked between the two. "What did you do while extremely drunk."
When Dean sighed, Paige pushed play and she was instantly greeted with a very young and obviously drunk Dean Ambrose pushing through the curtains of an indie wrestling show. "Fuck that dude, play Sweet Caroline again!" He slurred.
"Oh boy."
"Oh, it gets worse." And it did.
She felt her mouth fall open as she watched him sing loudly and very off key as he paraded around the ring, still holding a huge can of beer. He kicked chairs, stumbles, and even climbed up onto the bleachers of the gym that they were in, falling in the process before screaming the lyrics out. "What the…"
"Like I said I was very drunk."
"Why were you this drunk before a match?"
"It was a drunken death match."
"A what now."
"A drunken death match. You know wrestling a death match, drunk."
If she thought her mouth was on the floor before, then now it was through the ground and out the other side. All she could picture was the Southern Violence death match that had watch with him but now everyone involved was drunk. It wasn't a pretty picture. "Why?"
"Um because the company wanted it and I said yes." Dean stated like it was perfectly normal thing to say yes to something like that.
Putting her face in her hands. "Light tubes?"
"No just barbed wire and glass shards."
"Jesus." Cody cringed.
"Yeah."
"Funnily enough, it's actually one of my more 'tame' death matches."
"How on earth? That doesn't even remotely sound 'tame'." Angel said trying to get the images out of her head.
"I got through it pretty unscaved, same can't be said for the guy I was fight. But for me minimal blood."
"Go figure that you won a match where you had to fight drunk." Roman patted him on the back.
"I didn't." Dean scratched the back of his head. "Though to my defense the guy that I fought cheated."
"He cheated?" Brandi questioned.
"Yes, because he wasn't even drunk. Which was the whole point of the match. Now I might have taken it to a whole another level because I showed up drunk, but the stipulation of the match said that we would take shots at random times throughout and Neil, the guys I was fighting, didn't. Ah, he took like one out five or so, the others he dumped without the ref seeing. Which to the day I will say is bullshit that he got away with that."
"I'm still trying to process the fact that you were smashed, and he wasn't, but yet he was the one bleeding and you weren't?" Roman grabbed the bridge of his nose and drew his brows together. "How does that add up?"
"Simple, I threw him into a pile of glass multiple times."
There was a resounding hiss of shared pain. "And you still lost."
"Yep." He said. "Though again that was bullshit. He only won because I made myself sick."
"That happens when drink too much." Dustin said speaking up.
Dean shook his head. "It wasn't because of the amount that I drank, I thought it was smart to put him on my shoulders and spin him around."
"Of course, you did." Angel shook her head.
"Remember I was drunk." He defended himself.
"Who could forget that." Paige laughed. "Now, are you going to take the dare or not?"
Dean inhaled. "I'm not that drunk, and I don't have bleachers to fall down, I mean I guess the stairs could but it's just not the same."
"Oh, I don't care about all that, I just wanna see you sing Sweet Caroline."
"Oh!" His face lit up. "Why didn't you just say so. I'm always down for some karaoke."
"Hells yeah!" Renee said practically jumping from her chair. "Let's take this party inside and I'll get up the karaoke machine then."
It was almost alarming how quickly everything had been cleaned up and moved inside. She couldn't believe that everyone was that excited for karaoke. Well, she wasn't surprised that Renee and Paige were that excited, but Dean and Roman shocked her. Especially since this started with a dare.
Not too long after everything was put away, Brandi, Cody, and Dustin said that they were tired and wanted to head back to the hotel, much to Renee's dismay.
"Next time, I promise." Brandi said as she pulled away from the hug. "Give me a little more of a heads up and I'll make sure to bring pjs and my phone charger."
"I hold you to that." Renee told her.
"I know you will."
After a round of goodbyes, everyone made there way into the living room and made themselves comfortable on the large couch, and on the two Lazy Boys that sat on either side of it. Renee set up her karaoke machine, which was pretty much just a speaker attached to a mic, before playing around with the TV and her phone.
After a bit, Renee grabbed the remote off the table and pushed a button. Suddenly, the screen was connected to her phone and YouTube was pulled up. "Alright Dean, you said you would start this thing off." She unhooked the mic off the karaoke machine and handed it to him. "I've got Sweet Caroline cued up for you, just let me know when you're ready."
Taking a swig of his drink, Dean stood from his spot and made his way in front of the TV. "Just a heads up, my singing hasn't gotten better since back then."
"Just sing." Paige said.
"Don't say I didn't warn you." He chuckled. Clearing his throat, he took a deep breath. "Hit it DJ Renee." Renee hit play and plopped down into the open spot next to Jon.
Bobbing her head to the music, Angel snuggled herself into her seat and prepared for the show.
Dean brought the mic to his mouth and said. "You better not leave hanging."
"We got you." Roman laughed at him just as the lyrics appeared on the big screen.
"Where it began, I can't begin to knowin'" A smile drew wide on Angel's face as Dean started to sing. Just as he warned, he was slightly off key, but it was endearing, and it made her heart pound even so. "But then I know it's growing strong. Was in the spring, then spring became the summer. Who'd have believed you'd come along?"
When he turned away from the TV, his eyes locked on her. "Hands, touching hands…" He reached over the table for her, which she happily reached back for him. Their fingers intertwined and he pulled her to her feet. "reaching out, touching me, touching you!" He broke from the song to say. "Here we go! Sweet Caroline."
"Bom, bom, bom!" Everyone sang along.
"Good times never seemed so good!"
"So good! So good! So good!"
Dean swung their hands around, making her almost fall onto the table. Realizing this, he dropped her hand and stepped back towards the screen, which Angel took as her sign to sit back down. "I've been inclined to believe they never would, but now I look at the night and it don't seem so lonely. We fill it up with only two. And when I hurt hurting runs off my shoulders. How can I hurt when holding you?" He thew his arm out and spun around. "Warm touching warm, reaching out, touching me, touching you. Sweet Caroline!"
"Bom, bom, bom!"
"Good time seemed to good!"
"So good! So good! So good!"
"I've been inclined to believe they never would. Oh Lord no." The instrumental break came, and Dean started to jump around on the balls of his feet. "Sweet Caroline, good time never seemed so good. Sweet Caroline, I believed they never could…."
The song ended and everyone clapped for him.
"That was." Paige stood up and took the mic from the bowing man. "That was exactly how I thought it would be."
"What can I say, I'm a born performer." He rasped his voice sounding hoarse. He cleared his throat. "If only I had the voice to go with that." He grabbed for his drink and downed like half of it in one go before falling into his seat. "Did you enjoy the show?" He asked.
Nodding, she leaned up against him and placed her head on his arm. "Loved it."
"Just wait until I bust out a little bit of Billy Idol or Bloodhound Gang."
"Bloodhound Gang?" She raised a brow as only one song came to her mind when she thought of them and that was The Bad Touch song.
"You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals, so let's do it like they do on the discovery channel." He said with that wide dimple popping smile.
The night went one with Paige and Renee singing the Spice Girls Wannabe. Followed by Paige singing Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus and Renee singing Love Shack from Cosmic Thing, as well as Just Give me a Reason by Pink which she pulled Jon into.
Then the moment that Angel dreaded the most came, Renee pointed the mic towards her. "Your turn."
"Can I say no?" She asked only to get a look from the woman that told her that she couldn't get out of this. "Please?"
"Come on, Angel." She said trying to pawn the mic on her again.
"We told you before that we were going to get you to do some karaoke, just be happy we're not a bar." Roman told her.
Knowing that she couldn't fight them for long, she took the mic and stood. "I don't even know what I would sing."
"You can pick anything, from You Are My Sunshine to Lady Gaga if want to." Paige told her. "Hell I'll even take ah, the Barney theme song at this point."
Holding the mic close to her chest, she tired to think of any song that she knew. But nothing was jumping out at her. A part of her wondered if she should take up Paige's offer for the Barney theme song.
"If you can't decide, let me pick it." Dean said.
"You're going to pick the song I sing?" She asked trying to figure out if this was a good idea or a very bad one. Knowing Dean, he could end up picking something that she had never heard of. "What if I don't know the song that you pick."
"Well, if you don't, you can say that you don't, and I'll pick something else."
Biting her lip, she looked around the room to see everyone was staring at her with eager eyes. "Fine." She sighed.
Paige and Renee cheered as Dean took Renee's phone and typed in whatever song he had planned for her. When she tired to peak around to see what it was, Dean pulled the phone to his chest and shook his head. "Uh uh, get your pretty little ass up there," He pointed to the front of the room. "and I'll hit play."
"So, I'm not even allowed to know what's about to play?"
"Yep, now go."
Inhaling sharply, she did what she was told and moved to stand in front of the TV. Please don't be anything too weird, or overly sexual. She prayed as the music started up. Instantly something in her brain clicked as she recognized the song.
D.D.D.
Dean smirked at himself as he watched the realization appear on Angel's face as he realized what song he had picked. For once his memory worked the way it should have, and he remembered one of the songs that Angel had listed the other day.
"Really? Go the Distance?" She shook her head. "I can't believe you even remembered this."
"I'm just good like that."
She rolled her eyes and brought the mic to her face. "I have often dreamed of a far-off place, where a great warm welcome is waiting for me. Where the crowd will cheer, when they see my face and voice keeps this is where I'm meant to be."
The smirk on Dean's face fell and was replaced with a look of awe as he watched her sing. She wasn't the best voice that he had heard, but the passion behind her voice gave him goosebumps. She just the way her eyes lit up as she sang and she tried her hardest, he could tell that she really did like this song a lot.
"I will find my way, I can go the distance. I'll be there someday, if I can be strong. I know every mile will be worth my while. I would go almost everywhere to feel like I belong."
"Holy shit girl." Renee said with a chuckle as the instrumental part of the song started up.
"Why is this so good?"
"All the songs in Hercules are good." Angel said as the music started to swell. "You need to watch it." She took a deep breath to finish the song. "I am on my way, I can go the distance. I don't care how far, somehow, I'll be strong. I know every mile will be worth my while. I would go most anywhere to find where I belong."
Everyone clapped, which made Angel's face go crimson.
"What the hell?" Renee gave a baffled look at the woman. "Why didn't you want to do this again? You were great."
Angel shrugged. "I don't know, I just don't like being in the spotlight like that."
"Someone remind her of this when she gets into Seth's or Randy's face on Monday." Paige laughed.
"That's different." She pouted. "When I'm in the moment I forget about being on TV and just let loose."
Dean snickered. Only she would be more nervous about singing in front of her friends, then she was about going out on live TV, even if she 'forgets' about being in front of basically millions.
Passing the mic off to Renee, Angel quickly took her seat and snuggled herself into the couch, looking a lot like she wanted to disappear. Smiling, Dean threw his arm around her and pulled her into his side.
"That was really good." He said into her ear.
He heard a small noise that he knew was an embarrassed groan, but it sounded more like a little mew. "Thanks." She hid her face into his shirt. He gave a shake of his head as he turned back to watch Renee pick whatever song she was going to do next.
A few more songs later, and the TV and karaoke machine were forgotten as conversation about favorite bands, songs, and concerts took over. Paige was telling them about her friends sneaking her backstage when Dean felt someone tap his leg. Glancing over he saw Renee smiling at him before her eyes flickered down to his side.
Following her gaze, he saw Angel all curled up against him, asleep. "I'm not surprised." She said as he slowly turned himself so that it would make his next movements easier. "She was yawning before we even left the arena."
"Yeah, surprised that she made it this long." Roman agreed.
"Could she be anymore cute." Paige squealed. "She looks like little kid, all snuggled up like that."
Sliding under the sleeping beauty, Dean carefully rose from the couch taking her with him. After pausing for a moment to let her settle in his arms, he looked up at the group and said. "I'm going take this one upstairs and get her into bed. I'll be back down in a bit."
He didn't even make it to the staircase that led to the second floor before he heard Renee and Paige laughing, saying that he was whipped and that it was 'soooo cute'.
"I can hear you, you know?" He said in a quiet yell.
"You were supposed to." Renee said back.
Rolling his eyes in a dramatic huff, something that only he got to witness, he started up the stairs to the lofted second floor. Up here were two walled off rooms. One was the master suite and the other was a smaller guest room. Not caring, which was which, he pushed opened the first door as gently as he could and carried Angel over to the bed. With a bit of clumsy pawing, he pulled the comforter down before placing her on top of the sheets, because screw that.
When he turned to pull her boots off, he heard a small yawn. "Dean?"
"Sh. Go back to bed." He told her.
"Jeans." She whined as she shimmied around so she could unbutton her pants. After the fourth attempted she got it. He chuckled and reached out to help her as she started to kick around as if her pants would magically fall off.
"I got you." He said.
Once they were gone, she sat up for a moment and reached behind her, before somehow working her bra out from under her t-shirt. She then sighed and fell back against the pillow.
Sticking out his tongue in a smile, he pulled the comforter up. Not able to stop himself, he leant forward and kissed the top of her head. "Good night."
"You're not coming to bed?"
"I'll be back in a bit." He told her. "I'm going make sure everyone else is good, alright."
"Ok." She closed her eyes again. "Dean?'
"Hmm?"
"Thanks for tonight. It was really fun."
Dean's heart leapt in his chest. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He said trying to fight off the urge to jump into the bed and wrap his arms around her. As much as he wanted to, and as much as it would be a very him move, he did need to at least make sure his friends had places to sleep before he indulged himself.
Even as he told himself that, his body even budge towards the door. He felt like a fool standing there, staring at Angel but he was almost helpless to do anything else. That was until she let out a little snore that signaled to him, she had fallen back to sleep.
Taking another second, he finally forced himself to turn away and head back to the 'party'.
"How's our girl."
"Sleeping." He said sitting down on the couch.
"Do you even realize how ridiculously cute the two of you are?" Paige asked.
"I don't know about me, but she's pretty damn cute." He said making her and Renee giggle.
"I'm surprised that you came back." Paige smirked. "Even I would have had a problem coming back to the party after seeing her all snuggled into the bed."
Dean smirked. "I debated it. But I wanted to be a good host and make sure everyone down here was good before I go to bed. And on top of that." He grabbed what was left of his drink and swished it around in the glass. "I never leave a drink unfinished."
"Well, I am happy that you came back because now that Angel isn't here, I can finally ask you." She leaned forward in her seat with a look that made it almost impossible for her to figure out what way this was going to go. Knowing Paige, it could be anything. "Why the hell is Seth and Randy still breathing? I mean if you're not going to do the job, I will. Angel and I might not be as close as her and NeeNee here, but she's still one of my girls and people who put hands on my girls need to pay."
He blinked. Even though he was expecting anything, he still wasn't expecting this. "If you want your shot against them, be my guest." He said. "But I tell you the only reason they are still breathing is because I think that Angel would be upset if I go to jail or murder. I mean she already was a little upset when she found out about my couple day stint by the Mexican border."
Everyone chuckled.
"And as I said before. I like it better this way. I get to make their lives a living hell and pummel them in the face as I do it." He smirked. "What could be better?" Breaking Seth's arm, his nose, all his ribs, punching his teeth down his throat, ripping out that dirty two-toned mop that he calls hair, or stomping that smug face into the mat.
"Careful Dean, your Moxley is showing." He heard Roman say, which meant he must have a dark look on his face while he was stuck in his head.
"Seth's just lucky that Moxley doesn't show up as much as he used to because he would end up with that briefcase shoved up his ass."
"Please just do that anyway." Renee begged. "I would love to watch that, and I would pay more than nine ninety-nine to do so."
"Kinky." Jon said earning himself a slap from his girlfriend. "What. Why else would you love to watch something big get shoved up someone's ass."
She pursed her lips and tired to figure out what to say but she shrugged. "Because we don't like Seth and wanna see him suffer."
Dean smirked as he finished off his drink. "Couldn't have said it better myself." He let out a breath and placed his glass on the table. "Well you know what time it is."
He caught Roman's mouth dropping as he stood up. "No way, Dean Ambrose is calling it a night? What!"
He flicked Roman off and stretched his back. "I have to get up in the morning and clean up before flying out to Colorado."
"Don't lie." Renee shook her head. "You just want to get back to Angel."
Turning towards her, he winked and moved to walk around the couch. "Don't be jealous that I get to snuggle into bed with a girl like Angel. Sexy and sweet." He played up the words like he was about to go enjoy the night with Angel, when really, he was going to pull her into his arms and go to bed. He did have to be up in the morning, he had to clean the place for his friend and needed to figure out what to do with all the leftover food. But the fact he got to dive into those covered next to Angel was a nice plus.
"No matter the reason, I'm putting this on the tally board."
"Tally board?"
"Roman and Seth started a tally on who goes to bed first when we have a night out."
"And I just got another tally!" Roman smirked.
"So it's like five to three hundred."
"Hey I have at least ten."
"Yeah sure."
"Fuck off and go to bed."
Dean chuckled. "Night everyone."
A.A.A.
Angel moaned as she rolled over in the bed. Her arm swiped out to Dean's cold side of the bed and sighed. Of course, he would be up and, on the move, already. Show off. She rolled back over and grabbed her phone off the table where Dean had apparently put it for her at some point during the night. She flinched at the light shinned in her eyes. It was seven fifteen in the morning.
"No." She whined. "It's too early."
Even as she complained, she threw the blanket off her and rolled out of bed. She then quickly put on the clothes that she had on last night and walked out of the room. Instantly her eyes was filled with a bird eye view of Roman and Paige sleeping on the couches.
Smiling to herself, she walked down the catwalk to the staircase, that's when she heard a clanking of bottles. It wasn't until she made it down to the kitchen that she saw Dean clean up the kitchen in a pair of sweats and a wife-beater.
"Morning."
He turned around and gave her a small smile. "You're awake?"
"Yeah."
"I thought I would have to come up there and remind you that we have to be on the road by noon."
She rolled her eyes at him. "Ha ha. What time did you finally go to bed?"
"I don't know." He shrugged. "Though I wasn't the last one asleep." He said pointing at the two sleeping lumps on the couch. "Lazy asses." He tied the bag off and hoisted up on his shoulder.
"Need help with anything?"
"Nah, this is the last bag." He said as he disappeared out of the room.
"The last bag?" Her eyes widened. Looking around she realized that Dean had cleaned everything by himself. Everything. "What time did you get up?"
"Around five forty-five." He called back at him.
"And you did all this without waking anyone up?"
He came back with a checky smile. "Why is that surprising?"
"I didn't say that it was surprising,"
"No, but you sounded surprised."
"That wasn't surprised, that was amazement."
"Oh?" He said sauntering over to her with that Ambrose swag. He raised a brow. "Amazement? Are you trying to flatter me?" He pressed up against her. "Huh, darlin'"
A chill went down her spine as she tired to push him away. "It's too early for any of that."
"It's never too early." He leant down to nip at her ear. "Especially when I wake up next to you."
"Now who's flattering who?"
"No one. I'm being serious."
She went to say something smart, but her stomach cut her off with a low growl.
Chuckling, Dean gave her a quick kiss before stepping back. "Hungry?"
"Maybe."
"Good, because we have a shit ton of food that I have no idea what to do with." He said throwing his arm out at the filled counter tops. "So eat away!"
"We really need to figure out something to do with all this." She looked around at all the unopened bags of chips and other goodies. She knew there was even more food in the fridge that they had to come up with a plan for.
"I know we can leave the booze, but other than that, I'm at a loss."
Angel pursed her lips. "I wounder if we could donate it somewhere, like a food bank or a homeless shelter?"
"This is why you're the brains and I'm the brawns." He said as he flexed.
She shook her head. "Don't say that just yet. I'm not sure how much we can actually donate, because most places only take non-perishable. So like the chips and goodies should be fine but everything else I'm not sure."
"Aren't the places that you're able to donate leftovers? I could have sworn that that was a thing. Especially around Thanksgiving."
"I would have to call around to see if anyone does that."
"There should be someone right?"
"I don't know." She shrugged. "But at least we should be able to get rid of all the non-perishables."
"I'll get all that packed up then." He said as he started to open all the cupboards looking for something. "While we're out, we should get probably stop for donuts or bagels or something for everyone."
Angel nodded. "We can't forget the coffee."
"Of course not." He opened another cupboard and a smirk appeared on his face. "Yes, I knew it." He pulled the plastic bag that was filled with more plastic bags. "Everyone has a collection of bags." He waved the bags around.
Trying to hold back her laugher, Angel made her way back up stairs to get her phone. Thanks to the wonderful Google, she found a few places that they could dentate too. Most of them on their websites said they didn't take any perishables. Which was a shame, though she did find two that said to call in to ask what they were accepting at this time. That could be promising.
Heading back downstairs, she dialed the first number and brought it to her ear. "I might have something."
"Cool." Dean glanced over his shoulder as he packed up the food that littered the counter. "Remind me, not to get this much food next time."
"Only if you tell me about the party beforehand." She teased as her phone started to ring out.
After calling four different places, she finally found one that would take all the food. "Oh thank you!"
"Why are you thank us? We should be thanking you." The woman on the other end chuckled. "Most wouldn't have thought about reaching out like this."
"We just couldn't stand the thought of all this food going to waste."
"Well, we're looking forward to taking it off your hands."
Angel wrote down the shelter's address to use later and thanked the woman once more before hanging up. "I can't believe they even want the leftover potato salad." She said as Dean came back into the kitchen.
"Who wouldn't?" He said grabbing the car keys off the counter. "Oh hey, your phone might blow up here in a moment. I told everyone to text you their breakfast orders."
Angel nodded as she glanced down at her phone, during her call she had already received one from Roman that said, 'an everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee. Dean knows how I like it'.
"I guess you told everyone we would be stopping at Dunkin on the way home?"
"Dunkin? We ain't stopping at no Dunkin. We are literally across a bridge from New York and all its coffee and bagel shops."
"Oh well excuse me. I like Dunkin."
"You can like Dunkin, but when you're in New York it law that you have to go to one of the many random corner coffee places."
"Good to know."
Soon they headed out for the shelter, which took a bit longer than they thought it would. But that would be morning traffic in New York. As they pulled up to the building, three people meet them outside with huge smiles.
Dean quickly parked the car and got out to help them unload the car. "I hope you got room for all this." He said opening the trunk.
"We'll find space."
"Sorry that it's mostly chips and junk." Angel said getting out of the car.
"Don't worry about it." One of the girls said. "Junk food helps boost morale. Plus, anything helps."
After helping them get everything inside, they were treated to a sweet thank you from everyone before heading out.
"Now, it's time to show you why it's illegal to go to Dunkin while in New York." He said as they pulled out of the parking lot.
"Apparently not." She said pointing at the Dunkin Donuts that had a line out of the door.
Glancing over, he shook his head. "Don't worry, the 'it's just the way it is' police will get them."
…
"Breakfast time!" Dean called out as they walked back into the warehouse. "Come and get it before it get's cold! Or warm…I did they change coffee." He said shaking Renee's ice coffee.
"Some people don't want a hot drink."
"Who doesn't want a hot drink?" Roman asked as he came into the kitchen.
"The girls, they call got iced coffee."
"That's just wrong."
Everyone came into the room and they handed out all the drinks and food.
"Room service!" Paige announced as she grabbed her drink off the counter. "You are the best."
Renee laughed as she leant against the island. "How long until you guys have to head out."
"About two hours." Angel said looking up at the small clock that hung on the wall. "Why, what's up?"
"Nothing." She sipped her coffee. "I was just wondering if you had to stuff your face and go or if you were able to relax a bit."
"We got a little bit of time." She said. "But since your asking, I'm guess you're not coming with us."
"Nope, you won't see me until Monday."
"Awe, not only are they splitting up the boys and now they're splitting us up"
"Wait they split up the boys?"
Roman nodded. "Tweddle Dee and Tweddle Dum here are going to Colorado and I'm heading off to Canada all by myself."
"Not all by yourself." Paige said. "I'm going to Canada too."
Angel's eyes widened. "Oh? I didn't know you were on the docket this weekend."
"Yeah, they want me there just in case something happened." She sighed.
"Well at least that means I'm not going to be alone." Roman said.
"Do you need a ride to the airport because you can easily fit in our car." Angel asked.
Paige rubbed the back of her neck. "I was going to ask if I could ride with you, but I kind of forgot. I'm going to blame that on the fact that was drinking, and not because I can be forgetful and because sometimes, I don't realize that even if say my head that doesn't mean you heard it."
"It cool," Angel smiled. "All we have to do is play a little luggage Jenga and we'll be good. Oh! Do we have to head out early or do you already have your stuff on you? Like your passport and your ticket?"
Paige's face twisted as she picked at her blueberry muffin. "Yeah, I've got everything."
"Don't worry about her," Roman chuckled. "She likes to fall into manager mode every now and then."
Even as she shook her head at him, she said. "Speaking of 'manager mode', I need to know what you boys want to do for the show on Monday, that way I can talk to Hank about it."
"I want a rematch." Dean said without hesitation. "Against Randy. And I know you can't work miracles, but it would be nice if Seth wasn't guest commentator for it."
"I'll see what I can do." She said knowing that there was very little she could do about Seth. She would be lucky if the Authority didn't shoot down everything she asked for. "What about you Roman?"
"Um, I guess a promo would be nice. Something where I can actually talk about this fatal four way I've been placed in."
"In ring or titantron?"
"I'll take whatever but I won't say no to in ring."
"Alright, so one rematch and one in ring promo? Is there anything else I need to talk to Hank about?" The two men looked at each other and shrugged. "Well make sure you tell me because, with us going to Japan and Smackdown being pre-recorded on Tuesday I wanna try to make sure we have everything ready ahead of time."
"Good luck with that." Dean laughed.
"That's why I said try."
"Hold up!" Paige said. "Is this what having a manager is like? Not having to personally go up to one of the higher ups to ask for thing? Shit that sweet."
"But wait there's more." Roman said in the cheesiest 'as seen on tv' spokesperson voice ever. "Not only does she does she talk to the crew about what we want for the show, she books hotels, plane tickets, and rental cars for us. She sets up interviews and other out of the ring work and just because she loves us, she gets us water for after our matches."
Paige blinked. "Um…I might be in the market for a manager."
"I'm going to stop you there." Dean stopped her as he threw his arms around Angel's shoulders, almost knocking her to the ground with the sudden movement. "This one here has enough on her plate too take another person on."
"What does that mean?" Angel asked as she pushed against him trying to him to stop leaning on him. "You don't think I could handle three clients? Remember I used to take care of three."
"Oh I know, and I don't think your incapable of having three clients at once but Roman and I are too much for you. Think of it this way if you were a pie, which is an excellent pie, that could feed a lot of people, but however Roman and I are big guys who eat way too much so we each take half the pie, leaving none left for anyone else. We eat all your pie." As soon as he finished talking, he drew his brows together and frowned. "Wait a minute, that sounds too sexual."
"Yep." Roman agreed. "There is only one person's pie I'm eating is Galina's."
"Alright, ew." Renee fake gagged. "Can we stop talking about eating pie."
"Please." Angel begged. She didn't want them to continue down this path of talking because she wasn't sure what would come out of Dean's mouth.
"The point is, Roman and I require more attention than most, meaning Angel's capable hands are tied because we're idiots."
"Fine then." Paige whined. "You guys can hog her…I don't care."
Finally getting away from Dean, Angel smiled at the woman and said. "As much as I hated Dean's metaphor, he is right. With everything that's happening between the boys and the Authority, I'm not sure I would be able to give enough attention to someone else."
"Don't sweat it girl." Paige's tune turned right around. "I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself."
"You can always ask me to help if you need."
"Oh I will, and I promise you'll regret it."
"Remember who I already manage." She glanced back at Dean.
"Anyone else really want pie now?" He said as if to prove her point.
BrookeWorm3: I'm glad you liked the last chapter. I'm not sure if an RKO clears the sinuses or if it would make it worse. Lol
Labinnacslove: Angel is getting the hang of everything. And yes Roman's fears are valid but Dean might just surprise up all, or maybe Roman is right. GASP!
Guest (I'm going to guess Sonia, if not then Sorry about that and HI and welcome!) I'm glad you enjoyed Dean's prank, I felt it was very Dean like. Like I've said, I know when he's going to and I hope everyone likes it.
Canadice: YAY! I was going for Fabulous!
Katara Melody Cullen: I might teach her a few more moves. WINKY FACE!
