Welcome to Chapter One Hundred and Seven. I know I was gone for along time but I was put off from writing because of not having half of the episode that I needed. But now they are up! Smackdown is finally on Peacock. I already have another chapter half done.
Monday Night Raw: July 7, 2014/Wednesday: July 9, 2014/Thursday: July 10, 2014
Angel rushed through the backstage area with her eyes peeled for Dean. After chasing Seth out of the main arena, she couldn't be sure where he was, he could even have been 'detained' by the officials again. She passed catering, the offices, and the trainers' room with no sign of him. It was moments like this that she wished they were able to carry their phones into the ring.
Passing the screen where they had made their home for the show, she saw three empty chairs and some garbage from their snacks. She wanted to stop and clean it up so that no one else had to, but she knew that it was more important to make sure that Dean was ok. Shaking her head, she kept walking. Winding through the hallways, she made her way to where they had piled up their things and looked around the empty corner.
"Shit." She sighed. "Where are you?"
Maybe he ended up getting thrown out? Maybe he went to the bathroom? There were too many maybes. She just hoped that nothing serious happened.
As she pictured Dean laying on the floor holding his shoulder in agony, she picked up her pace and started her second lap around the backstage. Still not seeing him, worry filled her mind to the point that she didn't even notice the person behind her until she was pressed into the concrete wall.
Looking up into the baby blues that were staring down at her, she felt a rush of relief. Before she could even ask where he had been, he kissed her. It was hungry and intense, the type of kiss that had her knees threatening to give out. When Dean finally pulled back, he lowered himself to the crook of her neck and gave her a little nip.
"Did hunting Seth down work you up this much?" She asked holding onto his twitching form.
"I think it was a mix of things. Why?" He looked up. "Do you want me to stop?"
Shaking her head quickly, she blushed. "I um, I don't mind. I just, can you wait until we get back to the hotel?"
That mischievous smirk of his appeared and he kissed her again.
…
"Dean!" She gasped as he moved her leg so that her foot was on the edge of the tub. She had been willing to help him work out some of his energy, but she was running low on her own. He had waited until they got back to their room, but the door hadn't even clicked behind them before she found herself laying under him on the bed, his hot mouth touching every inch of her skin that he could, while he worked to peel off his hoodie and shirt. He had warned her then and there that if she didn't push him away, that she would be in for a long night.
She had mistakenly told him that she was fine with that. She figured that since they had a seventeen-hour flight she could get caught up on sleep then.
"Darlin' you don't know what you just signed on for." He chuckled as he pressed himself into her, making sure she felt just how hard he was through both their jeans. "But you're about to find out, the hard way."
That was three hours and five orgasms ago, and yet even as her legs shook, and her throat hurt from all her cries; he was still going strong. No one could say that Dean Ambrose didn't have stamina.
"Ah…Ah…Dean, please." She begged even though she didn't know what she was begging for, her mind was too far gone for that. All she could focus on was him and the way he was making her feel.
"Just a little longer baby." He grunted, his fingers digging even harder into her hips. There was no doubt in her mind that she was going to have marks from this, and not just on her hips. She could feel them all over her body, could feel every spot where he had sucked and bit her. There was a particular spot on her neck that was throbbing it was so sore. He had bit her so hard while coming that he broke the skin. At the time he had felt so bad for hurting her, that it almost ended their night. However, she didn't mind, it had been what sent her over onto her third orgasm of the night. She was starting to wonder if Dean wasn't the only one who enjoyed a little pain.
As if reading her mind, he leaned down and kissed the spot for the hundredth time tonight. Even as it stung, she cocked her head to the side, giving him better access. He chuckled in appreciation and lapped at her, his breath making her already flustered skin hotter. Between him and the showers steam, she was burning up and it was dizzying.
D.D.D.
Dean paused for a moment as Angel's body sagged against him. He pulled himself from her shoulder, grabbed her chin and made her look back at him. The sight made his hips buck on their own; her face was flushed, her lips swollen and open as she panted, and her eyes flickered with each thrust.
He knew that he had pushed her farther then normal. She was good for one, maybe two rounds, but tonight he had taken her twice in the bed, ate her out in-between, and then took her once while she sat on the sink before getting into the shower. He allowed her to wash her hair before he grabbed her washcloth and 'scrubbed' her down. And now here they were, him slamming into her from behind as she clawed at the tile wall in front of her.
He gave her a peck on the lips and smirked. "You good there, darlin?"
She nodded against his hand.
"Why don't I finish this up so you can go to bed?"
"I said I was good." She protested.
"I know baby, but I'm not going to last much longer." He was straining himself even now.
"Me neither." She said as he felt her walls flutter around him.
"I can tell."
She turned her face into his hand, almost as if she was trying to hide herself from him. That's not going to work. He sighed as he removed himself from her, just long enough to spin her around and lift her up so that her legs were wrapped around his waist. But that didn't mean, he didn't catch the small whimper that came from her before she realized he was just switching positions. "Hang on baby." He told her as he pressed her into the wall.
Angel wrapped her arms around his neck just as he thrusted home once again. "Ah." She gasped and threw her head back.
Fueled by her reaction, Dean let himself go, snapping his hips into her until he couldn't keep the rhythm up anymore. Switching from speed to strength he smirked at himself as Angel's moans and gasps became more broken as she started to come undone. Her body twitched and thrashed as her nails dug into him in sweet little pinpricks of pain. A small squeak came from her before she fell into him, her face buried in his neck as she came.
A few more thrusts and he knew he was done. "God damn." He grunted as he pressed her harder into the wall. "Shit." He came.
Once he was spent, he pulled himself carefully from her and set her down on her feet. Only to have to catch her when her legs gave out. Eyes widening, he helped her down so that she could sit on the side of the tub.
"You ok?"
"Jelly legs." She said with a breathy yawn.
He smirked. "We really need to work on your stamina."
"Hey," She smacked at him. "I did good tonight."
"You did." He said as he peeled off the condom that he was glad he was smart enough to grab. "You did very well, soon I will have you going all night."
Her eyes widened at his words. "Six times wasn't enough for you?"
"It's never enough." He tied the condom off and tossed it onto the sink.
"You insatiable bastard."
Chuckling, Dean turned off the forgotten water and pulled the shower curtain all the way back. He carefully maneuvered around her so that he could step out to get the towels. After wrapping one around his waist, he draped the other around her shoulders. She smiled at him as she drew the towel closer and rubbed her arms dry.
"Still think you're going to be up for traveling tomorrow?" He asked.
She nodded. "Yep, I might sleep more than I thought I would but yeah, I'll be fine."
"Ah, so I guess you wouldn't be up for joining the Mile High Club."
"Probably not."
"Probably? Oh so there's a chance? That's more then I was expecting."
"I was being nice to your ego." She said, drying her legs. "Didn't want to turn you down flat."
"Oh? I just thought you were getting freakier."
"Freaky?" She shook her head. "You have to be more than freaky to wanna join the Mile High Club. I mean come on, those bathrooms are really tiny, and everyone will know that you're doing it."
Dean shrugged. "So if we had a private jet you would be up for it?"
"Don't." She said quickly.
"Don't?"
"Don't even get that thought in your head. Last thing we need is for you to buy or rent a private jet just to fuck in the sky."
He laughed. "I wouldn't do something like that."
"You wouldn't?"
"Nah."
Giving him a look like she didn't believe him, she used the wall to stand. "Uh huh. Oh, can you remind me in the morning that I have to call my mom before we take off."
"Sure." He watched her for a moment, making sure that she was good on her own. "Why do you need to call Evelyn?"
"She asked me to. Probably just wants to check up on us before we leave. You know motherly stuff."
"I think that's more of an Evelyn thing because my mom would have yelled at me if I called her at seven in the morning." He could hear her now. 'Are you hurt? Are you in the hospital? No, well you're about to be. Who in the right mind calls someone this god damn early?'
"That might be true." She laughed as she pushed passed him to go into the bedroom. When she let out a loud sigh, he turned to join her. Stepping up behind her, he almost laughed at the sight that greeted them. The room was a mess. Blankets, pillows, and clothes were thrown around the place. The lamp that was supposed to be on the end table, was on the floor and the alarm clock was dangling off the side.
"Looks like someone had fun in here." He snickered earning him a smack on the arm. "I'm just saying."
"I'll get the bedding, you go make sure that the lamp is still working."
"Aye, aye." He walked over to the thing. Picking it up, he placed it back on the end table and looked to make sure the bulb was still intact before flicking the switch to turn it on. Blinding himself slightly when in fact it did. "Tada!" He said over enthusiastically as he pointed at the working light.
Angel looked up from the pile of blankets in her arms and smiled. "It works! That's good. I would feel bad if we broke it."
"I'm sure people break them all the time." He walked over to his bags.
"So? Knowing that makes me even more glad that we didn't break ours."
"You need to be a little more Rock and Roll."
"If being Rock and Roll means not caring if I break a lamp at the hotel I'm staying in then, no thanks." She tossed the blankets onto the bed. "Plus, I'm pretty sure that it's part of my job to make sure we keep in good standing with the places we go, and I'm pretty sure breaking their shit would make them not like us."
Dean smiled to himself as he grabbed his pjs. "You never know, maybe they hate the thing and the only way to get a new one is to break this one."
"I don't think that's how things work."
"But what if it is? We would be doing them a disservice to not break it."
"I'm too tired for this."
"I'm just saying."
"We're not going to break the lamp." She said sternly making him chuckle.
"You sure? What about stealing it, taking it to work, and smashing it over Seth's head?"
"Dean."
"Alright, alright. I get it, no messing with the lamp." He gave in. As she fixed the bed up, he noticed her watching him as he put on his pants. "What?"
"Nothing." She shrugged. "I'm just trying to figure out if I should trust that you're not going to do anything stupid to the lamp."
"You don't trust me?"
"Not even as far as I can throw you."
"Rude." He pouted as she walked around the bed, trying to smooth out the bedding.
"Just being honest." She said, the corners of her lips twitching as she tried not to smile.
"Ha, ha, ha." He fake feeling upset. "If we're going for honesty, then here's some honesty; you have thirty seconds to dressed before I throw you in that bed and take you another six times."
Her eyes widened as she turned away from the bed and looked at him, he could tell that she was trying to figure out whether or not he was serious. Cocking his head, he waited to see her next move. She let out a sigh and quickly walked over to her bag. As she got her underwear and pjs out, he chuckled and moved to settle in the still messy bed.
"I hate to say it, but I think you made the right choice. As much as I would like to ravage you again, I think it's bedtime."
"How responsible of you." She said as she finished getting dressed.
"I know, right?"
Shaking her head, she made her way to the bed and climbed in beside him. She rolled towards him and laid her head right on his arm, her still slightly wet hair clung to his skin as she let out a little yawn. "Thanks for the uh, wonderful night."
"You don't have to thank me, it was my pleasure." He adjusted the way he was laying so that he could pull her into his side. "And I'm more then willing to do it again, anytime you want."
"I'm sure you would."
"Hell yeah." He waited for a witty remark from her, but it never came, instead he was greeted with a light snore. He chuckled, he knew she was worn out, but he didn't think she was so tired that she would pass out as soon as her head hit the pillow, or his arm. Maybe he did over do it tonight. At least they had a full day of travel to rest up before they started their work for the tour. At least that's what Dean thought.
…
Sighing, he watched as Angel schmoozed with a few of the employees that were conducting one of his interviews today. He knew that only he could tell just how tired she really was. She had been up since almost eight in the morning yesterday. I'll rest on the plane. He should have known that that was a big fat lie. Now he wasn't shocked that she used the seventeen-hour flight to brush up on everything that she would need to know to be respectful while working in Japan, instead of sleeping like she said she would. That was right up her alley. However, he did think it was a waste of time because she was more then prepared for this. She already knew most of the etiquette, had picked out a couple of nice modest outfits and had them ironed. She even had business cards printed out to exchange with people because she knew it was common practice here. But she just had to make sure that she had everything in order.
The fact that she was more then willing to run herself ragged like this made him hate how dedicated she was to her job sometimes. But as he watched her stand there looking confident with a huge smile on her face as she thanked everyone for inviting them for an interview, he couldn't help but feel proud. Especially when he was called over to be told that he had a wonderful manager who 'was very professional'.
"She's the best." He nudged her with his shoulder.
Everyone smiled.
"Thank you so much for coming." Jan; their translator said as everyone bowed to him.
"Oh." He quickly bowed back. "Thank you for having us. It was a blast."
"Please do come again."
"We would be honored." Angel said as she bowed.
A.A.A
Angel shook her head at Dean as he franticly unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled his sleeves up as they got into the taxi. "Sweet freedom?" She laughed.
"God yes." He nodded. "These things are so stuffy." He said gesturing to the buttoned-up shirt that she had begged him to wear this morning. She knew that Dean wasn't one for dressing up for anything, but she also knew that his normal t-shirt and ripped jeans combo wouldn't flow with those here in Japan.
"Thank you for suffering with it."
"You owe me."
"Oh?"
"I'm just trying to figure out if I want a drink or.." He poked his tongue against the inside of his cheek.
"You're so bad."
"Tell me something I don't know." He slumped back in the seat. "So what's next on our schedule."
"Just a bit of sightseeing and dinner." She said stifling a yawn. Sitting down was probably the worst thing she could have done, because the lack of sleep was finally catching up with her.
"Sleepy?"
"A little."
Dean shook his head. "Maybe you should have slept on the plane."
"Shush." She sighed. "You know why I couldn't."
"Yeah, because you're a worrywart who was scared of making a bad impression." He answered. "Which you didn't. Everyone loved you. Even Jan said that everyone found you very professional and sweet. But I could have told you that they would love you before we even got here, all you had to do was ask."
Smiling, Angel tried to hide the blush that was working its way onto her face by swatting him in the arm.
"What?" He chuckled. "I'm complimenting you."
"I know."
"Then why did I get smacked."
"Because you flustered me."
"And that gets me smacked?"
"Yes."
The taxi pulled over to the side of the road and the man in the front seat looked back at them. "We're here."
"Oh!" Excitement shot through Angel as she turned towards the window. "Oh wow." She gasped. After working all day, she had forgotten where she had planned for them to go. They were at one of her bucket list destinations; Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. "Arigatou gozaimasu!" She called to the driver as she opened the door and jumped out.
"Someone's mood changed." Dean laughed as he joined her on the sidewalk.
"Look at this place!" She gestured to the beautiful scene in front of them.
"It is pretty." He admitted. "But I thought you were tired, don't you wanna go back to the hotel and rest up?"
"I can rest up after." She said already marching towards the opening. After paying at the front, they walked through the gates and started onto the long trail that led them right into the Japanese Garden. Angel knew she looked like a kid in a candy shop as they walked, she was pointing at everything with a huge smile on her face. She couldn't believe that she was really here, and with Dean none the less.
"Shit, this isn't built for tall people." Dean said as they walked over one of the many bridges, the railing barely came up to his knees. "One wrong move and I'm going over."
"Well then, don't make a wrong move." She teased as she pushed him slightly towards the railing.
Cursing, he turned towards her with a pout. "You are so lucky I'm trying to be respectful here."
"I know." She was sure that if they were anywhere but Japan, she would either be in the water, or he would be draping his weight on her so much that she would be flattened against the bridge. "And I'm proud of you for holding back." She said as she stopped to take a picture on her phone. As she moved to get a shot of the water between the railing, she felt Dean step up close behind her.
"Just you saying that makes me want to misbehave." He mumbled low.
"Well, you better not because I don't want to get kicked out of here." She warned.
Taking a step back, he sighed and looked around. "Is there a reason we always end up in parks everywhere we go."
"Because you said that you like nature." She stood up. "Plus, I've always wanted to come here."
"I had a feeling." He laughed.
"Was there somewhere else that you wanted to go?"
He shrugged. "I don't know enough about Japan to pick a place, but I was thinking maybe a shrine, or something like that."
She nodded. "Alright how about after we finish our walk through the park here, I'll find us a shrine to check out and then after that we can go and grab some dinner."
"That works for me."
"Then let's get a walking." They moved from the Japanese Gardens to the French ones and the change of scenery was jaw dropping. Instead of all the beautiful bridges and greenery, there was now flowers and trees of all sorts. There was even a path that was covered with trees on either side, that she had a feeling would make a really nice photo.
"Please," She begged Dean to let her take a picture of him walking down the path. "I would take a picture of myself but that would be too hard." Even as he rolled his eyes, he started farther down the path. Realizing that he was agreeing, she crouched down and snapped a picture once he was a good distance away. Hoping he wouldn't notice or care, she took a few more.
"Did you get it?"
"Yep." She said as she caught up to him. "Lookie."
He looked at her phone and he pursed his lips. "Looks good. I like the one where my leg is all blurry."
"Of course you do."
The last part of the walk was the English Gardens. Which she knew right away why they were called that, with the open lush lawns it felt like they had been transported from Japan to England just like that. Looking around she took not of all the people relaxing and enjoying there day, some where even having picnics.
"You know if we come back to Japan, we should come here and have a picnic." She said smiling up at Dean. "We could even invite everyone else to join us."
"A picnic?"
"What's wrong with picnics?"
"Nothing, I'm just trying to picture what other people would see when they walk past me and Roman eating little sandwiches."
"It would be bentos here."
"Right." He nodded. "Now I'm imagining us eating those cute-shaped rice balls or like the octopus hotdogs."
"You don't have to have a shaped bento."
"Where's the fun in that."
"Fine then, we'll make sure to get those Hello Kitty shaped rice balls."
"Fuck yeah." He said making her laugh louder then she wanted to. Looking around, she hoped that she didn't bother anyone's peaceful day. "Wow, look who's being disrespectful."
"Don't start." Angel told him as they started towards the exit. "That was your fault."
"My fault?"
"Yep, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have laughed that loud."
"That just means I'm hilarious." He said with a smirk. "So, I'll take it."
Leaving the garden, Angel pulled out her phone and looked up where the nearest shrine was, that they could visit. And what do you know, there was one within ten minutes of them. "How does the Hanasono-Jinja Shrine sound."
"Sounds like a mouthful."
"Dean."
"How far away is it?"
"Ten minutes."
"Shit, let's go."
Using the map on her phone the best they could, they started for the shrine. At one point it ended up taking them down a skinny alleyway that was full of different shops and whatnots. At the end of the alley, Dean pointed to a building that had 'Bon's old fashioned American pub since 1879' on it. "There's something you don't see every day."
"I mean most of the pubs back home are old fashioned American pubs."
"Guess that's true."
She looked back down at her phone to check how much farther. "Oh, it's right here." She pointed at the set of steps right next to them.
"This is the entrance?" Dean questioned.
"Remember that the city was built around all of the shrines and temples." She said as they started up. At the top of the stairs was a big wooden gate, and past that sat a big beautiful red and white shrine that seemed to stand out, but also fit in to the cityscape around it. It was stunning.
Walking around to the front of the building, she made sure to be respectful to the other people who were enjoying the shrine. Looking around, everything just seemed so surreal, like there wasn't a bustling city just outside of the walls.
"So, what does Google say about this place?" Dean asked.
"Um." She quickly pulled up some information. "The shrine is dedicated to Inari Okami, who is the god slash goddess of trade and worldly success. Also, the main hall was erected in 1965." She said pointing to the building behind them. "There are several smaller sub-shrines here. Oh! One is a fox shrine." She scanned the area to see if she could find it.
"A fox shrine?"
"Yeah." She mumbled back at him as she spotted a fox statue. "Foxes are really important in the Shinto religion." She explained as she walked down the steps and towards the walkway of gates that led to the fox shrine. "I'm not a hundred percent certain why, but I know it has to do with the fact that one of their gods made the fox it's messenger animal."
They stepped up to the smaller shrine and Dean whistled. "Talk about zen."
"I think you're supposed to offer sake or something." She said wishing she had some.
"You really do like Japanese culture, don't you?"
She nodded. "I grew up with Dragon Ball Z and other animes, and they made me want to learn more about Japan. Not to mention I looked up a lot of different things the moment I knew we were coming here."
"That doesn't surprise me."
Looking back down at her phone, she kept reading about the shrine until she saw that there was another sub-shrine that was called Geino Asama Shrine, which was dedicated to the good fortune of performers of all kinds. "Oh neat, there's a shrine here that is for performers. Maybe we should pray at it?" She said trying to figure out which one it was.
"I'm not sure they'll like it if I pray to be able to knock Seth's nose off his face."
"True." She sighed. "Maybe I should pray that no one gets really hurt during the match."
"Leave out Seth and Kane."
"Never mind." She shook her head. "I wish we had more time here." She sighed. "I really want to see more of the different shrines and stuff around Japan." Today was their only truly free day, between the shows and travel.
"This won't be our last time coming here." Dean told her. "And if we have to, we'll come here on vacation, that way we'll have the freedom to do whatever we want."
"I'd like that."
He smiled. "Wanna know what I would really like right now? Food."
"Is there anywhere you would like to eat at?" She asked.
"Anywhere with good food."
"Helpful."
It took them a while to figure out where to go, but they did end up finding a place that wasn't too busy that was called Yakitori Alley.
"Heart skewer?" Dean grinned. "Wonder what that taste like."
"You can get it then." She made a face.
"Fine I will." He said like he was being defiant. "What are you getting?"
"Chicken, leek, green pepper, and I'm thinking the potato salad."
"They have potato salad?" He seemed way to happy about that.
When the lady came to take the order, Angel put in hers and then sat back to listen to Dean who ordered almost the entire menu. He ordered the chicken, the chicken meat ball, pork, heart, liver, intestine, leek, green pepper, and garlic skewers as well as the cucumber with bean paste. By the time he finished the lady looked at him like he was nuts, but she kept writing down everything. "Oh, and the beef stew." Dean finished as he pointed to the menu. The lady bowed and walked away from their table.
"Hungry much?"
"Oh yeah." He said trying to get comfortable in the small space that they had.
"I can't believe you ordered the heart and intestines."
He shrugged. "I'll eat pretty much anything."
"Still."
"You only live once, best try everything while you're alive."
When the first round of skewers came to the table, Angel asked. "Would you be mad at me if I took a picture of this?"
"Nah, if you take a bite of one of my 'odd' picks."
Pursing her lips together, she thought of the choices that she had. "Can I pick which one?"
"Sure."
"Does the liver count as one?"
He cocked his head back and forth as he thought. "Fine, but only because I know you would never pick liver."
Dreading the fact that she just promised to try the liver skewer, she pulled out her phone and snapped a quick photo of their table. She then picked up one of the chicken skewers and took a bite. "Oh, that's good."
"It is." He said in mid slurp of his stew. "You should try this."
"What's in it."
"You know I'm not sure. I just know it's beef." He held out the ladle spoon to her. "Just try it." Leaning forward, she opened her mouth and let him feed her the stew. "So?"
She really processed what she was tasting and smiled. "It's good."
"Told you."
"Yeah, yeah."
"You need to try more things."
"Don't tell me that. This is all new to me." She said noting all the different food around them.
"So, you like the culture but haven't tried the food. I mean this isn't that unusual, you can get this shit in the states."
"When have you seen me eat anything that's not basic food?"
"I'm going to change that." He said. "Time to expand that palate of yours."
"As long as you don't force me to eat anything too strange."
"Darlin' I would never force you to do anything." He took another spoonful of his stew. "Don't worry we'll ease you into it, just like how we've been doing with sex."
Her eyes widened when she realized what he had said. "Dean."
"What? I think that that's going pretty well, so why wouldn't using the same method to get you to eat more?"
"I should have got the sake."
He winked at her. "It's not too late."
The next round of skewers that came made her frown, it was most of Dean's weird flavors. One of them was the liver.
"Go on." He said holding up the skewer. "Try it."
She sunk back in her seat.
"You said you would, or would you rather try the heart?"
"Nope. Nope." She shook her head as she reached across and grabbed the skewer from him. Swallowing hard, she brough the thing to her mouth and took a bite, hoping to forget what she was eating. If only she could get around the chewy texture.
"I'm guessing you don't like it." Dean laughed.
She had to force herself to swallow it. "What gave that away."
"Your face."
"Too chewy."
"Yeah, it's not for everyone." He said happily eating the rest.
"I'll stick to my chicken and leek." She said picking up her leek skewers which to her was already pretty exotic.
D.D.D.
By the time they got back to their hotel room, Angel looked as if she was going to fall over dead. She was stumbling over herself and was starting to get grumpy from the lack of sleep. But that's what happens when you stay up for almost two days straight.
"Don't crash just yet." Dean told her as she flopped on the bed. "You'll regret it in the morning if you don't take a shower now."
"Fine." She mumbled into the mattress even though she didn't get up.
"Do I have to carry you to the bathroom?"
She shook her head and pushed herself up. "No, I got this." She staggered her way to the bathroom.
"Don't fall asleep in there."
"No promises."
"I'm coming in to check on you in ten minutes."
After getting dressed for bed, he knocked on the bathroom door and got a tired groan back. "You alive in here?"
"Yeah, I'm almost done." She called over the shower.
"Alright, just making sure you didn't drown."
"I won't."
Going back into the main room, Dean threw himself onto the bed and sighed as he was greeted with the softness of the mattress. Grabbing his phone off the end table, he started to scrolled through the news and other nonsense when Angel came out of the bathroom. He quickly noted the towel that was wrapped around her. "You made it."
"I did."
There was no playful banter as she got dressed and plopped into the bed. Leaning over she gave him a quick peck on the lips before snuggling down into her pillows. "Night."
"Night." He put his phone away and turned off the lights. It didn't take long before even he was falling asleep.
A.A.A.
"Ohayo!" Angel called cheerfully as Roman stepped out of the elevator of their hotel. "Good morning." She translated herself.
"How was your flight?"
"Long and boring."
"Amen." Dean laughed as he clapped him on the back. "Was fighting the Bulgarian Brute worth staying the extra day?"
Roman made a face. "Sorta, the match was alright but that Lana." He shook his head. "I feel real bad for Rusev because that woman is a piece of work."
"I figured that one out."
"Also, there was some major drama backstage because Summer Ray and Layla both dropped Fandango like a sack of potatoes."
"Shit, the things we miss."
Angel laughed at how truly upset Dean managed to sound. "I'm sure there will be plenty of drama when we get back into the normal routine, I think they are still shooting Total Divas and I'm sure they would be more than happy to let you in."
"Nah, those bitches be crazy."
"They aren't the only ones."
"Hey, I'm a special kind of crazy."
"We know that better then most." Roman said fixing the bun in his hair. "So Babygirl, what are we looking at today."
"We have an interview here in forty-five minutes that's going to meet us at the arena. A fan meet-up after that. Then we have a bit of time to chill and get ready for the show."
"Is breakfast scheduled in there somewhere?"
"Breakfast? It's almost lunch." Dean chuckled.
"Breakfast, lunch, brunch, I don't care what you call it, I need food in my stomach like now."
"We have enough time that we can grab something small to hold you over until after the meet and greet." Angel stated.
"Alright as long as I can get something, or else the fans are going to end up with the grumpy Roman Reigns."
"There's another Roman?"
On the way to the arena they stopped at a convenient store and grabbed a few things to snack on, well at least Angel did, Roman and Dean grabbed a couple of bentos each, which they devoured as soon as they got to the arena.
"That hit the spot." Roman smirked as he put his chopsticks down.
"Why can't convenient stores in the states have food this good?" Dean took the last bite of his salmon. "Eating on the road would be so much easier."
"And healthier."
After cleaning up, it was time for their interview which went well. It was pretty much the same old thing that they were used to. 'How are you enjoying Japan? What are your plans for Battleground? Did you see Seth's betrayal coming at all?', all that plus some random rapid-fire questions that ranged from favorite ice cream to name an animal that you vibe with. Then it was onto the meet and greet.
And before they knew it, it was show time. As soon as they were given the call to be on standby the boys' mood shifted, and suddenly, they were super pumped up. Though that didn't surprise her, not only did they get to have a match against Seth and Kane, they were in a foreign place with fans that don't get to see them live very often, which made them want to give them one hell of a show.
"Seth and Kane are going out first then Dean, which means Roman is last." Angel relayed the message that she had been given.
"Saving the best for last." Roman smirked.
"Oh and Dean, I have been informed that they would 'prefer if we didn't kiss or cling to each other too much'. PDA is kind of frowned upon."
"I'll try to keep that in mind." He said honestly. "But adrenaline can mess up my head."
"I know."
From where they were lined up just outside of the gorilla, they heard Seth's music hit, and what felt like a breeze of cold air came from the man beside her as Justin Roberts announced, "Mr. Money in the Bank."
Glancing towards Dean, she watched as he gave his neck a crack while swaying on his feet. She knew that he was running through his 'game plan' in his head, which probably consisted of 'beat the shit out of Seth' and only that.
The crowd popped loud as Kane's music started up. However, she was pretty sure that they only reacted that way because of the man's veteran status. Something of which she became doubly sure about when Dean's music hit and the cheers brought the roof down.
"They're ready for you." Roman told him with a smack.
"See you out there, brother."
"Accompanied by Angel Miles, hailing from Cincinnati Ohio, weighting in at two hundred and twenty-five pounds, Dean Ambrose!" Justin announced as they walked out from the gorilla.
Quickly they walked down the small 'ramp' and up the steel steps. However as soon as Dean stepped up onto the apron, Seth ducked out through the ropes on the opposite side and got behind Kane, which didn't go unnoticed.
"Really?" Dean looked around like he was seeing something. "Tell me that he didn't just do what I think he did. Tell me that I'm just seeing things, and that Seth's not that big of a pussy." He said holding the ropes open for her.
"You saw that perfectly." She said ducking into the ring. "I think he's hiding from you, he must be scared."
Shaking his head, Dean jumped up onto the ropes and egged on the crowd, trying to amp them up. "Come on!" He yelled before turning his attention to Seth. "Oh, come on Seth, hiding behind your bodyguard? FACE ME LIKE A MAN!"
"Shut your mouth, Ambrose."
"Good one, did you think of that yourself Mr. Architect?"
Seth started to sprout off nonsense about being Mr. Money in the Bank and Angel rolled her eyes at him. "He really thinks that that case is his excuse for everything, doesn't he?" She asked as Dean jumped into the ring next to her.
"Apparently." Suddenly Roman's music took over the speakers. "Enter the big man."
Roman made his way to the ring, slowly but with such purpose that no one would stand in his way. Keeping one eye on Seth and Kane, they both stood back so that Roman could do his thing.
"Let's get it on." Dean sang as he ripped off his hoodie vest and tossed it out of the ring.
Laughing, Angel eyed the thing up and tried to make a mental note to pick it up when she got out of the ring. But that quickly became less important as Roman walked up to them. Without a word, the boys high fived and nodded at each other.
"Keep your heads in the game." She said stepping between the two of them. "Remember, they are not above cheating and will likely try and DQ the match."
"Babygirl we got this." Roman said cockily. "My fist, his face, easy as that."
Dean chuckled as he stuck his tongue out. "You are speaking my language brotha."
"Only those who are going first can stay in the ring, all others get out."
"That's my cue." Angel sighed as she ducked out of the ring and hopped to the floor. By the time she got into place, Roman was out on the apron with Dean stamping around their corner pointing at Seth.
"Come one Seth, me and you. Man to…man?"
Irritation came to Seth's face as he turned back to Kane and nodded, and the Big Red Machine ducked out of the ring. She had to stop her mouth from hitting the floor, Seth was really going to square up with Dean and not run and hide behind Kane? She couldn't believe it. It was too good to be true.
And it was. As soon as the bell rang, Seth rolled out of the ring, not letting Dean even touch him. I should have known.
While Seth paced on the outside, telling the ref to "Keep that lunatic away from me," Dean walked around the ring calmly.
"Don't do this Seth." Roman sighed. "Get your ass in the ring."
Without even being prompted by the ref, Dean walked himself back into the corner and stood there with his arms out. She had to applaud his patience, but she knew it wasn't going to last. And by the time Seth even got back onto the apron, it was already waring thin.
"Come on." Dean beckoned him. "Come on. I'll draw a line right here." He ran his foot across the mat as if he was really drawing a line. "I'll even give you a free hit. Right here." He pointed at his face. "One freebee, as hard as you want. Come on, get in the ring. I'll put my hands behind my back and everything." Dean did as he said and leaned as far forward as he could.
Seth slowly inched forward and right when it looked like he was about to take the shot, he turned on his heels and tagged out to Kane.
Rage flashed on Dean's face as Seth robbed him from the 'fair fight' that he just so desperately wanted. "Ro?"
"Let me in."
They tagged.
As Dean climbed out onto the apron, she shrugged her shoulders at him. "Told you he's scared."
He gave a small snicker before turning back to the match were Roman and Kane were trying to match strength, but it ended with Roman plowing into Kane so hard that it knocked the man off his feet. "There you go! Keep on him!"
As much as she would hate to admit it, Roman and Kane were pretty evenly matched, one would throw a big hit, the other would take it and bounce back to throw their own. It was almost like watching that desk toy that was the pendulum of balls that swung back and forth.
After a few hits to the head, Kane was able to get Roman into his corner and Seth tagged himself in, which shocked her because she was sure that Seth was going to end up staying out of pretty much the entire match. Anyone smart enough would have, since it was almost suicidal to get into the ring with the two men that you royally pissed off, and want nothing more then to rip you to pieces.
Capitalizing on a punch drunk Roman, Seth got him into a corner and started to lay in on him. Though his cockiness seemed to get the better of him because he tried to Irish Whip Roman across the ring, only to be thrown full force into the far corner, which almost ended with him flying out of the ring.
Stumbling, Seth ended up right back into Roman's hold. "No. No. No. No." Seth tried to weasel out of the hold. "Ro."
"Oh no!" Roman drew back for a huge headbutt that echoed through the arena. "Don't you ever call me that again." He grabbed Seth by the hair and pulled him to his feet. "Which would you prefer, I could smash your face against the turnbuckle or give you to Dean." Before he could do either, Seth almost slipped from his grasp. "Oh no you don't." He said picking him up onto his shoulders.
"Drop him!" Dean yelled.
However, Seth knowing better, thrashed himself about until he was able to escape the hold. He then landed a huge Enziguri Kick to the side of Roman's face.
"Get up, Roman!" She cheered as Seth tagged out to Kane.
A mixture of grumbling and swearing came from above her as Dean paced on the apron. Every now and then he would lean through the ropes and call out to Roman but he was quickly pushed back to the corner by the ref.
Back and forth, Kane and Seth took their time with Roman, cutting the ring in half as much as they could, which seemed to piss Dean off even more. "Come on." He was almost begging to get into the ring. And as bad as Dean wanted in, Roman needed out just as much. "Get up!'
As if awakened by Dean's calls, Roman grabbed the ropes just in time for Seth to try and whip him across the ring, stopping him. Seeming perplex by the fact that his plan didn't work, Seth tried it again. Roman shook his head at the man and used the arm that Seth was holding to throw him out of the ring with a battle cry.
"Roman!" They both called as Roman fell to his hands and knees. "Crawl."
Doing just that, Roman reached out as far as he could as he dragged himself across the ring. As she cheered him on, Angel saw Seth making his way back into the ring, scrambling to stop the tag. Obviously, he didn't like the idea of Dean getting into the match, but he didn't have much if a choice as Roman leapt for Dean.
"Tag!" The ref called.
Dean didn't waste any time getting into the ring, he just stalked right after him with his arms out wide. "Where you going Sethie boy?" He raced forward and stomped on him over and over, until the ref pulled him away.
Pissed off that he had been pulled away, Dean ripped his arm out of the man's hold and turned towards him with a glare. He must have realized that it was the ref, because his whole demeanor changed instantly and he bowed in apology. Which the crowd loved.
Making his way back to Seth, he walked right into a big boot to the face. As both men staggered about, they ended up trading places. Still holding his face, Dean left himself open for a chop. Even as the hit rang out loud, he seemed unfazed by it, in fact all he did was raise a brow, look around and get back into place. "Try that again." Confusion covered Seth's face but he did as he was told and hit Dean with yet another chop, this one was louder but Dean still stood strong. "Really that's all you have? You really were just the brains of the operation, come on, give me your best shot." He held his arms out.
Jaw ticking, Seth hit him again but this time he didn't stop at one. Chop after chop, he smashed Dean into the turnbuckles.
"That better, Ambrose?"
"Perfect. Now it's my turn." Grabbing Seth, he threw him into the corner and went to town on him with a mix of chops and jabs. After getting pulled away once again, Dean picked Seth up and placed him on the top turnbuckle before setting up for a Butterfly Superplex.
They both hit the mat hard, but as expected Dean rose from the hit first and covered Seth. The covered only got a two count but it was close.
"You'll get him next time." She called as Dean smacked the mat in frustration. Nodding, Dean grabbed Seth and went for a normal suplex. With a little bit of scrambling Seth was able to get out it and kick Dean in the gut. Even as Dean hunched over and grabbed his stomach, his attention never left Seth who took off for the ropes. As if nothing happened, Dean shot up and raced after the man so that he was able to deliver a knee to the stomach just as Seth spun on his heels to hit the ropes. Before Seth could recover from the hit, he smashed his forearm into the man's face and pushed him up and over the ropes.
"Uh oh." Roman smirked as Dean started to bounce on his feet. "Here comes Air Lunatic!"
Turning around to build up his speed, Dean ran right into Kane who was there and ready to grab him. Angel's breath hitched when Kane lifted him up for a chokeslam. But just as he got him to the peak of the throw, Dean pushed himself out of his grasp, landing right next to the ropes. Kane turned around quicker then she thought he was able to and started after Dean. With a last-minute maneuver, Dean grabbed the ropes and dropped down. Not able to stop himself, Kane went over, practically landing on Seth. With no one standing in his way this time, Dean took off for a Suicide Dive. He landed straight on both Seth and Kane, smashing them back into the floor.
"There you go!" Roman clapped at his partner. "Flattened him."
Standing up, Dean grabbed and threw Seth into the ring, however when he tried to get into the ring himself, Kane grabbed his legs. "Get off me." He growled, kicking at him. The kick sent Kane right into the barricades. Shaking his head, Dean walked away from the ropes and right into yet another kick to the head. As he fell back towards the ropes, he reached up to catch himself like he had done a thousand times, only to be pulled through them by Kane.
Angel's eyes widened as she watched him tumble out onto the apron, head first. "Dean." She quickly moved from her spot and rushed over to the man as he fell to the floor. She heard the crowd cheering for them as she knelt down. She gave his hand a squeeze, when he returned it, she let go.
"Come on Dean!" The crowd cheered.
"Get in the ring." The ref called as he started to count.
"He's counting." She told Dean. "You got to get up, right now." Dean started to stir, groaning loudly as he moved. "Five seconds."
Making it to his feet, he stumbled towards the apron and slid under the ropes and right into a stompy Seth Rollins. After about five stomps to his back and stomach, Seth grabbed him and pulled him towards the corner where he tagged in Kane. Tugging him out of the corner, Kane hit Dean with a Sidewalk Slam before going for a pin.
"Come on Dean!" She called as he kicked out.
Dean's beatdown was brutal. Kane threw him around the ring like he was a ragdoll. It was big hit after big hit and Angel was sure that Kane was going to break Dean in half or something. However much to her surprise, Dean was able to hit him with a DDT and tag out.
As the crowd cheered for Roman, Angel watched as Dean rolled onto the floor next to her. "You still good?"
He nodded slowly as he leaned up against the steel steps. "Shit." He rubbed his neck.
In the ring, Roman and Kane went head to head, smashing into each other with great force. It was a sight to behold. Roman finally was able to get Kane up for a Samoan Drop which made everyone pop as he went for a pin. However, before the three-count happened, Seth came in and broke it up.
Seconds later, Dean rushed into the ring and went after Seth, chasing him right out of the ring with wild swings. Once outside, they met up and started to brawl. It was hectic, they scrambled around the ring, swinging and kicking at each other. Getting his hands on him, Dean smashed Seth's against the barricade, which just so happened to be metal this time instead of the hard foam thing.
As the crowd 'ooo'ed at the hit, Seth fell backwards onto the floor next to Dean's feet. He looked down at Seth who was holding his head and smirked. His head then shot up towards the cheering crowd, and he let out a huge battle cry while beating his chest. Behind him, Kane threw Roman into the turnbuckles before turning around and climbing out of the ring.
"Look out!" Angel warned him, but it was too late, and Kane grabbed him and hurled him back against the apron. Dean let out a yell of pain as he felt to his knees. However, before Kane could get back into the ring, Roman slid out and grabbed him. Slamming his fist into the man's face, Roman then headbutted him in the face knocking him back slightly so that he fell against the steps. Picking him back up, he tossed him back into the ring.
With the action back in the ring, Angel rushed over to check on Dean, making sure to keep an eye on Roman who was setting up for a Superman punch. However, before he could land it, Seth came out of nowhere and hopped up onto the apron. Something he quickly regretted doing as Roman sent him right back to the floor with a huge right hook to the jaw. As Roman turn right around into a chokeslam, the fight turned to chaos. Kane went for the pin, but Dean stopped it, then Seth, who was up a lot sooner then she thought he would be, grabbed Dean and tried to throw him out of the ring. Dean reversed it, and then got knocked out anyway by Kane.
Trying to keep up with all of the action, she almost missed Roman getting up and grabbing Kane for another Samoan Drop, followed by a Superman punch.
Angel stood there almost dumb founded as the crowd cheered for Roman as he got into the corner of the ring, she was shocked that they could keep up with everything that just happened. It was pure madness.
Movement from around the side of the ring snapped her out of her daze. Turning toward it, she noticed that Seth was fumbling around with something, however she couldn't see what. The case! She instantly realized. Though before she could get around the ring to stop him, Seth slid into the ring behind Roman with his Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. "Roman!" Angel gasped as Seth smashed him in the back with the case.
The loud boos that came from the crowd almost drowned out the sounds of the ring bell announcing the DQ. As Seth hit Roman again with the case, she took off to help. Yet, before she could get up onto the apron, Dean appeared on the far side of the ring. Dean slid under the ropes and right into Seth who was ready with his precious case. Without hesitation he slammed it into Dean's gut before hitting him over the back with it when he hunched over.
With both men on the mat, Angel climbed into the ring and rushed over to push Seth away from them. Though before she could do anything else, she felt someone grab her arm and use it to pull her away from him. Turning around she saw Kane looking at her with an expressionless look.
As she fought to get out of the hold, she heard Seth call over to them. "Kane, take care of that crazy girl before she hurts herself." Not liking the phrasing of that, she swallowed the lump in her throat and watched the man holding her. She wasn't sure what to expect, a chokeslam or maybe something else, she just knew that it was going to hurt. Which was why she became confused when he pulled her across the ring until they were in front of the ref.
"Hold this." He ordered in that low creepy voice. Seeming as confused and taken back as she was, the ref reached out and grabbed her arm. "If she gets in the way at all, you'll be in a world of pain."
The grip on her arm grew tighter at that.
Spinning around the best she could, she watched as Kane slowly walked over to Roman and picked him off the mat by the vest. He then hit Roman with a right hook to the face before slinging him up in the corner.
Moving to help Roman, she felt herself get tugged right back into place. Looking back, she saw the ref standing there with a frown on his face. "Sorry Angel." He said as he reached out and grabbed her other arm. "I really don't wanna cross Kane."
Sighing, she turned back to the action. She couldn't blame the man for not wanting to go against Kane, who knew what he meant when he said that he would end up in a world of pain if she intervened at all, but it was just so hard standing there as Kane beat up Roman, and Seth choked Dean with his foot.
Shifting in place, she watched as Kane sent Seth running into Roman who was still in the corner looking a little worse for wear. Not wanting to watch as the metal briefcase smashed against Roman's chest, Angel went to look away when Roman sprung to life and kicked his foot up just in time to catch Seth in the face. Roman then launched himself out of the corner to spear Kane.
"Yes!" She cheered. "There you go!"
Glancing across the ring, she drew her brows together as she watched Dean knock Seth out of the ring by smashing the Money in the Bank briefcase into his face. She wondered how on earth he ended up with the thing, since she was sure that Seth never let it out of his sight. She even believed that he showered and slept with it.
Standing tall in the ring, Dean and Roman paraded around and egged on the already cheering crowd. When Dean stopped in front of her, he looked over her shoulder to the ref and nodded. "Thanks for keeping her safe." He glanced down to where the man was holding her arms. "But I would really appreciate it if you let go of my girl."
"Uh, yeah." The ref instantly snatched his hands away and stepped back. "Sorry."
Rubbing her arms, Angel smiled up at Dean. "Nice case."
"Thanks." He said waving it around like it was a flag or something. "Can you believe I just found it."
"Oh?"
"Get me my case!" Seth's voice squealed over the music. "I want my case now!"
Dean spun on his heels and held the case up in the air. "You mean this one?" He asked. "Come get it."
Angel laughed as Seth just glared at him and turned back to the ref who was trying to leave. "Get MY case from that lunatic! Are you stupid? Get my case!"
"Wow, now." Dean put his free hand up. "There's no reason to be so mean. Here." He tossed the thing down in the corner of the ring and stepped back. "Take it."
Angel fell into her spot next to Dean as they both watched Seth quickly come over to grab the case and leave. "Someone's grumpy."
"What's new pussycat." Dean said slinging his arm around her shoulder. However, before she could say anything about the PDA, he pulled her over to Roman and gave the man a high five. "What do you say we say hello to our Japanese fans?"
"Let's do it."
Splitting up, the boys went to the opposite corners and she went to the middle of the ropes between them. As they hopped up onto the turnbuckles, she jumped up onto the bottom rope and started to incite the crowd in front of them. "Come on!"
After switching sides, they made there way out of the ring and greeted the fans on the floor. Everyone was so nice and polite. Some of them asked for just fist bumps, some asked for pictures. They even had one person ask if they could get a picture of Dean hanging on her because they found it so cute when they did it on TV. And Dean was more than happy to oblige, nearly knocking her down as he threw his arms around her for the photo.
"Dean if you put anymore weight on me, I'm going to fall." Angel mumbled as she tried to keep her smile.
"Come on, support me. I've just finished a hard fight."
"Oh? Do you need to get checked by the medical staff?" Suddenly she was able to stand up straight. "Thought so." She smiled for the picture.
