Welcome to Chapter One Hundred and Thirteen! This chapter was really fun to write, I hope you like it as much as I do.
Battlegrounds: July 20, 2014/ Monday Night Raw: July 21, 2014
Angel let out a heavy sigh of relief when the door in front of her opened and Roman stood tall on the other side.
"Fucking finally!" Dean jumped to his feet.
"Hey, do you know how many security guards they have patrolling around the arena." Roman asked. "You're lucky I even managed to get here."
"They have guards patrolling?"
"Yeah, and all of them are on the look out for the two of you."
"Damn it. This isn't going to be easy."
Dean looked over his shoulder. "When is it?" He put out his hand for her to take.
"I guess you're right." She took it.
"I would suggest going upstairs. Yeah, you'll be in the public area, but you'll have a better chance of avoiding everyone." Roman said.
Dean nodded. "Might be our best bet."
"What about the fans?" She asked.
"We'll just have to test our luck. Running into a couple of fans seems like the better option over getting stopped and thrown back out by the guards."
"Whatever you're going to do, do it quickly. Seth's heading to the ring next."
"Thanks man." Dean slapped Roman on the stomach before turning towards her. "You ready?"
"Let's go."
Turning back to Roman, Dean said. "Good luck out there tonight, man. I hate that I'm going to miss your match but you know…"
"It's fine, just save me a seat at the bar." Roman said.
Puzzled at first by Dean's words, Angel realized that he knew there was no way after doing what they were about to, that the Authority would let them hang out backstage and watch the remainder of the show. Meaning, they weren't going to be backstage to cheer on Roman during the main event tonight. Trying to swallow that pill, she turned to the man. "I would say break a leg but in this business probably not the best thing to say."
"I'll break Randy's, how about that."
"Prefect."
"Now get going." He winked.
Dean took off up the stairs a bit faster than Angel's legs liked. Cardo wasn't much her friend. Already sweating, she made her way into the public area right behind Dean. Only for both of them to screech to a halt as they saw all the fans that were lined up at both the merch table and the refreshment stand. Some turned antsy when Seth's music started.
"Come on." Dean gestured for her as he walked right out into the open as if he wasn't Dean Ambrose. But much to her surprise, no one seemed to notice him, not even the man who was eating nachos while wearing and old Shield shirt. Baffled at Dean's ability to blend in, she prayed she had the same ability as she followed behind him.
They made their way out to one of the entrances at the top of the stands and looked around over the crowd. Seth was standing in the middle of the ring looking quite pissed off as the fans chanted 'you sold out' at him loud and clear.
She couldn't help but smirk at the display, but it was quickly wiped from her when she felt something tap her arm. Turning towards the tap, she saw Dean plastered two the back wall, as he walked away from her down the outside of the stands.
"Since my opponent has been so very irresponsibly ejected from the building, I've come out here to accept my victory via forfeit." Seth's voice rang over the speakers. "I wanna be announced the winner, and I want my hand raised. Do you understand that? Do you understand?" He turned towards Justin Roberts and the ref who were in the ring just looking at each other. "He's not coming out. Let's do it now."
Someone's in for a surprise. She told herself as they slithered passed everyone. That was until they made it to the last set of steps that went down to the floor. Looking up at Dean for a hint of what the next move was, she was greeted by him bringing a finger to his mouth, before turning his attention to Seth. She understood what he was doing. He was allowing Seth to have his moment. Allowed him to have his hand raced in victory as if he actually achieved something.
However as soon as the moment was over, Dean started down the steps, slowly. Taking one at a time, trying not to draw any attention towards him. He didn't want to ruin the sneak attack. When Seth finally made his way out of the ring, the plan seemed to change as Dean took off.
Not able to keep up with him, she watched as he sped down the stairs and over the railing kept the audience form getting to the stage. Just as she knew he would, he went straight for Seth, smashing into the man halfway up the ramp. The fans went nuts for it.
D.D.D.
As soon as he got his hands on Seth, pure murderous thoughts when through his mind. Ones that he knew weren't healthy, but he ignored the little red flag that went off in his mind and threw Seth into the metal barricade that lined the ramp.
As the sounds of Seth's body colliding with the metal resounded in his head, he was rushed with an exhilarating feeling. He had waited for this day for weeks. Had waited for the chance to get his hands on Seth, one on one, without the threat of Kane and Randy looming over him. And though it wasn't the match that he wanted so bad, it still felt pretty good.
Hyped up by both the fans that were cheering for him, and the rage that had been building up inside of him, he grabbed Seth and threw him against the barricade once again.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked as he stalked after Seth, who was on the floor rolling towards the ring. Catching him by the hair, Dean aimed him once again at the barricade, this time with the intent to send him over it.
As Seth tumbled over the thing and slammed into the floor, Dean turned around to see Angel behind him. "Go!" She said with a smile. "Don't give him even a second."
That was all he needed.
Yelling his version on a battle cry, he hopped over the barricade, scooped Seth off the floor, and dragged him by the hair through the crowd. Stopping for a second to force Seth to look up at him before punching him in the face.
The hit sent Seth stumbling back, but he didn't allow him to get away. In fact, he just grabbed him again, and again, and again until punching him wasn't enough anymore. Eyeing up the barricade that separated the stands from the floor seating, he grabbed Seth once more only to smash his face into the barricade.
"Yeah, Ambrose!"
"Hit him again!"
"Break his face!"
"Come on, Dean!"
The cheering crowd around him, only added to the almost maddening adrenaline that washed over him. Let's get this back into the ring, shall we? He smirked to himself as he took off his hoodie and tossed it towards Angel, who was slowly following behind them, making sure to stay out of the way. That's my good girl.
Turning his attention towards Seth, he watched as he crawled his way towards the ring. "Need a hand?" He asked pulling him to his feet. When Seth fought against his hold, he punched him again, but this time Seth was able to retaliate with a kick to the stomach that he didn't see until he felt it.
The air was knocked from him in one swift move, and then it was his turn to be thrown over the barricades. Catching himself before he crashed into the floor, he rolled far enough back that he could see Seth climbing over the barrier. Ignoring the pain in his stomach, he popped up onto his feet and grabbed the man. Pulling with all the strength he could muster, he ripped Seth off the barricade and threw him across the Spanish announce table.
Watching as Seth crumbled to the floor between the two tables, he held onto his stomach where could still feel Seth's boot and gave his back a stretch. Feeling the popping sensation that he wanted, he let out a groan before going after Seth. Pushing through the mess of wires and whatnot to get to the man, he started as what he heard Michael Cole refer to as 'assaulting Rollins'. However, his fun was stopped earlier than he would have liked it as the Authority goons showed up.
Two men wearing black suits grabbed at him and pulled him away from Seth much to his and the crowd's dismay. Boos echoed through the arena as he was pulled into the timekeepe's area by the two security guards.
"Get him out of here."
"Go!"
The guards yelled at each other as they pulled him through the mess. Once they got into the more open area between the sections of floor seating, Dean heard another person yelling, it was Angel.
"Hey! Hey, let him go! Get off him!"
He looked around to see her doing her absolute best to get the officials away from him. Just to be grabbed herself.
"Angel, don't get involved." Ref Charles Robinson told her as she somehow ripped out of his grasp.
Running over, she plowed into the men that were trying to push him out and grabbed onto one of the guards that was holding him. "I said get off him!"
"Let go." The guards said trying to shake her away, which allowed him to free himself from their grasp. With his right arm free, he pushed it into the face of the second guard, making sure that the palm of his hand was pressed right into the bridge of the man's nose. It was either let go of his arm or have your nose be broken and the smart man choice the first option.
Fighting through the officials, Dean found Seth leaning against the Spanish announce table, looking a little rough from his earlier attacks. Locking his sights on him, he pushed back through the timekeeper's area not caring what he stepped on or who he ran through.
"Dean stop!" He heard people call after him as they grabbed onto his pants and belt. Trying to take the path with the least amount of resistance to get to Seth, he stepped up onto the announce table and ran across it. At the last moment, he leapt from the table, landing right o Seth, knocking him to the floor. Ending up on top of the man, Dean took the advantaged and started to wail on him the best he could. He gave each hit all he had because he knew he only had moments before the officials would pulling him away again.
And he was right, not even seconds later, he felt the barrage of hands on him, pulling at him, ripping him away from Seth.
"Get off him."
"Stop this."
"Get off him."
This time however, they were smart, they brought more than two men in to hold him back. "Get up Seth!" He yelled as he kicked his feet at him. "Come on."
He watched as Seth got to his feet and enjoyed the irritated look on his face. Clearly, he didn't like the fact that Dean got the better of him, not one but twice. Once he was on his feet, Seth launched himself at him, throwing punches before also being dragged away.
"Come on Seth! Come on hit me again!" Dean yelled. However, as he was being pulled away, he noticed Angel caught up in the mix of officials trying to separate the two of them.
"Is that all you got, Ambrose?" Seth yelled as he swung out once more.
It was like someone hit the slow-motion button on life as Dean watched Seth's fist connect with the side of Angel's face, who was caught up in the mix of officials trying to separate the two of them.
When her head snapped to the side, everything stopped, and the arena grew quiet.
Eyes locked on her, Dean waited on bated breath to see that the damage was. And he wasn't the only one, one of the camera crews raced up to see as she brought her hand up to her hidden face.
Slowly, almost as she knew just how dramatically it was, Angel lifted her head. When she finally pulled her hand away from her mouth, Dean saw a bleeding cut that ran down her bottom lip.
A siren went off in Dean's head, loud and clear. Kill Seth!
"You bastard!" He screamed as his eyes snapped over to Seth, who looked as taken back by what happened as he was. Even as his brain told him it was an accident, the rest of him screamed to rip his head off, begged to pay back Angel's blood with Seth's.
Anger at an all time high, he ripped his arms out of the men holding him and ran over to where Seth was, not caring in the slightest that every official and security guard in the building seemed to be determined to get him out of the building.
Launching himself at Seth, flattening him and everyone else that was in his way. Not bothering with his normal wild hits, he put Seth into a headlock and squeezed. If they wanted him out of here, he was taking Seth's fucking head with him.
"You bastard, you fucking bastard. You're going to pay for that." He growled into his ear as the officials worked to pry him away.
"Move!" He heard Hunter's voice call as suddenly two large hands were on him. "Get him off! Get him out of my building."
"Oh look, Daddy's here."
"Fuck you, Ambrose." Seth squeaked out as Dean was forced to release the tension on his throat.
"No thanks, but Kane and Randy might be down for a threesome after the show. You should ask." Was the last thing he was able to say before a large palm smashed into his face.
"Get him out of here!"
Turning his head to glare at Hunter he said. "Aw, is someone mad that I beat up his little pet?"
"Get him out of here!"
"I'll take that as a yes."
A.A.A.
Head still pounding from Seth hitting her, Angel tried her hardest to stop the horde of men going after Dean. "Get off him." She yelled as she pulled on arms and squeezed her way into the middle of the pile. Though she was only able to just reach Dean, when her feet suddenly weren't on the floor anymore and the world turned upside down.
She squealed that flailed about, smacking the back that was suddenly filling her vision. "Put me down!"
"Get them out of here." Hunter ordered.
Jostling her about, the man who was holding her started walking.
"Hey asshole, are you deaf? I said put me down!" She tried kicking her legs, but he held them tight.
Coming to terms that she was stuck in her position; she picked her head up the best she could and looked around. Only to find that Dean was in a very similar position. He was being carried like he was a sack of potatoes, two men had each leg, while the rest held onto his bucking torso and trashing arms.
Just before they made it to the ramp, Seth came out of no where and landed right on top of Dean.
Her eyes went wide as they fell into a pile of bodies that was so tangled together that she couldn't tell what limb belong to what person, all she knew was that Dean was on the bottom of it.
It took about fifteen men to untangle the mess, and suddenly Seth was on the far side of the ramp being held back by three refs while the rest focused on grabbing Dean again. Quickly they were lugged up the ramp and to the stage.
"Let me go!" She heard Dean scream as the bright colors of the show disappeared. From backstage she wasn't able to see what was going on out on the stage, but she could the fans chanting 'let them fight' as there was more commotion.
A few moments later a loud boo came, and Dean appeared angery as ever. "Let me go! God damn it!"
"Settle down, Ambrose. You're lucky that we haven't called the cops." One of the officials told him.
"Call them. I haven't done anything that's against WWE's rules."
"Yeah, sneaking back into the arena and attacking Seth isn't against the rules. Throw them out and make sure they don't come back in."
"You know you really should read our contracts, because you would realize that you're the ones breaking the rules. I mean come on, Stone Cold got hit by a fucking car and no one did shit, but I throw a few punches and suddenly I'm being threatened with having the cops called, somethings wrong there."
"Shut up."
Carrying a complaining Dean the whole way, they got to the loading docks. Placing them on their feet, they were given a shove and sent into the side of one of the production trucks.
"If we see you're faces inside again. We will call the cops, for breaking and entering."
"Yeah, yeah." Dean waved them off as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Enjoy sucking Hunter's cock!"
The large doors slammed shut and the even air rushed over them. Angel lifted her face to the slight breeze, her body like it was about to combust and the fresh air felt great against her.
"FUCK!" Dean screamed breaking her from her moment and she turned towards him to see him kick a tire. "God damn it!"
"Hey," She patted his back. "At least you were able to get in a few good hits in."
"Yeah well, so did he." He said turning towards her and gently grabbed her chin. "Shit, I should hit him harder. Should have grabbed a chair and smashed his face in."
"It was an accident." She said not really liking vouching for Seth at all, but she thought it would help calm Dean down. "I did what I'm good at and got in the way."
"I still want to kill him." He said as he ran his thumb under the sensitive cut. "Man, didn't we just have the conversation about you getting hurt?"
"We did, but if you remember correctly, I said that I wasn't going to stop, even if it I got hurt."
"Your mom is going to kill me."
"My mom is going to kill me, I haven't been answering her phone calls since Friday."
His eyes widened. "Oh, I can't wait for the next family dinner."
She rolled her eyes at him. "So, we have an about an hour until the show is done. Is there anything you want to do?"
Dean smirked at the subject change, before saying. "I would say that we should head out and get a drink, but I don't really think that Roman would like it if we stole the car and leave him here to catch a ride or walk."
She looked around the parking lot. "I mean we could just sit in the car and watch the show on my phone."
"I know something else we could do in the car."
"No." She shut him down quickly. We're in public."
"So, you're ok fucking at work, inside a building filled with co-workers but no out here?"
"If you must put it that way, then yes." She smacked at him. "Fans come walking by here all the time. Last week they found a few taking pictures with the production truck."
"We rented an escalade, the back has tinted windows."
"But that doesn't stop the car from shaking."
He shrugged as they walked towards their car. As they passed as silver car, Dean's attention snapped to it.
"Something wrong?"
"This is Seth's car." He said pointed to the parking permit that did indeed say Seth Rollins on it.
"Ok?"
Dean smirked. "He has to come out eventually."
"Yeah, but you're not allowed to attack him outside of show hours."
"And if it's not?"
"Then sure it's fine, but with the big match tonight, I don't think that Seth will be coming out anytime Soon. You know, 'plan b' and all that."
"One can dream." He said as he pulled the keys for the car out of his pocket.
Her eyes widened when she realized that Dean had his keys on him the whole time. "Oh no, that must have been fun to fall on."
"I've fallen on worse." He shrugged again.
"Yeah, but still."
"I'll have a burse on my leg for sure." He rubbed his leg.
After getting settled into the car, Angel put her phone on the dash so that they would both watch. When the like feed started up, they ended up tuning into the middle of Chris Jericho verses Bray Wyatt." The match was good, a real battle of wills, which ended with Chris winning.
"That was a sweet Code Breaker." Dean said with a smirk. "Bray got his bell rung."
"I don't know about that; he's getting up already."
"Doesn't mean his bell wasn't rung, just means he wasn't put down for good."
While they watched Jericho showboated around the ring, Angel's phone vibrated, and a notification came down over the video. It was a text from Renee and from the small snippet that they saw was 'Hunter is sending Seth home…'
Dean's eyes widened as she grabbed her phone, opened the message and read it out loud. "Hunter is sending Seth home, he's worried that Dean might try to get back into the building. He's on his way out now, with two security guards and a camera crew just in case."
Dean scrambled out of the car.
"What are you going to do?" She asked as he popped the hatch and pulled something out.
"Stay in the car." He told her quickly fiddling with what looked like a coat hanger.
Climbing over the center console, she watched as he made his way down the parking lot and to Seth's car.
Looking around, he moved to the driver side door and fiddled with something. It took her a moment before she figured out what he was doing. He was breaking into the car, and expertly it seemed as second later the door was open.
He leant into the car and suddenly the trunk popped open. When he stood back up, he had a large smirk on his face. Walking around the car, he opened the trunk full, tossed the coat hanger inside and climbed in.
What in the world? She questioned as he closed the trunk as much as he could.
"Guys look, thank you. I don't need security, I'm fine, I got this. Thank you very much, you're done." Seth voice echoed through the parking lot. Spinning around in the front seat, she saw Seth walking from the building.
As she noticed that Seth was sending away his guards, she mumbled to herself. "How stupid are you?" He had no protection from what was about to happened.
Taking a few seconds later, Seth seemed to realize his mistake. He stopped and looked around. When h e turned his back towards his own car, she saw the trunk open, and Dean climbed out with something in his hands. It looked like a lug
She gasped as he swung it at Seth, who ducked just in time.
"Jesus!" Seth called out as he ran to his car, Dean following him. Seth tired to get the door open, but Dean was on him. He grabbed him and smashed his face into the window of the car.
Angel didn't know what to do expect watch from the spot in her car as the two brawled. At one point Seth pushed Dean into the ambulance that was parked nearby, before taking off for the fence that surrounded the place. Much to her surprise he tired to climb the thing, only to be pulled off by Dean and sent into the hood of the Seth's rental.
Weirdly the first thing she thought of was whether or not the insurance covered 'being attacked by an enraged co-worker that has been trying to get his hand on you ever since betraying them a month ago'. Well she hoped it did. Especially as the two men climbed up the car. On top of the car's roof, they brawled until Seth got the upper hand and pushed Dean off.
She gasped as Dean disappeared between the cars, while Seth quickly scurried into the driver seat, and speed out of the parking lot.
When she still couldn't see Dean, she panicked. What if he got ran over? Quickly she opened the car door and climbed out. Running towards where Seth's car just sped away, she saw Dean making his way to his feet. Sighing in relief she slowed down. Meeting in the middle of the lot, they looked at each other.
Not saying anything, Dean leaned down and gave her a kiss on the head.
"Holy shit." The camera man said as he put the camera down to his side, showing that he wasn't filming anymore. "I'm so glad that Renee talked Hunter into sending a camera man out with Seth. Shit that was good."
Angel raised a brow. "Renee talked him into it."
"Yeah, she said that it was the only way that he could be a hundred present of sure that Seth made it to his car."
"Thank Renee for me, will yeah."
"I will."
Noticing that the camera man watched them, she turned towards Dean. "So, um….do you wanna keep watching the show? There's the battle royale and the main event left."
"Sure." He sighed. "I don't think there's going to be another change to beat up Seth again."
"Nah, I don't think so."
…
"One more round of shots." Dean said as their waitress came over to the table. "And give this man a double." He patted Roman on the back.
"You keep this up and I'm just going to bring you the bottle." She told me.
"If you wanna, that's fine."
"Dean! We have to get up early." Angel said trying to remind her boyfriend that they couldn't get stupid drunk tonight.
"Hey, he's just having fun." Jimmy Uso said with a huge smile on his face. "What's a couple more drinks."
"She right." Naomi poke at her husband.
"But we be celebrating." Jey said. "Well, some of us are. Sorry cuz."
"Don't be." Roman grumbled. "Just because I lost doesn't mean you can celebrate your win."
The two high fived.
"Hey, at least you got to have your match." Dean said.
"You're right." Roman smirked. "I also didn't have to get my big ass into a car trunk."
Everyone laughed.
"How the hell did you fit in that thing?"
Dean shrugged. "There was more room in there then you think."
"I wonder how long Seth drove with his trunk open like that." Jey said.
"Probably the whole way back to Idaho."
"Nah." Dean shook his head. "He didn't go that far. He couldn't kiss Hunter's ass from that far away."
Angel smiled the best she could with her busted lip. When it faded, her eyes locked with Dean who scowled.
"I still need to get him back for that." Dean said taping his fingers on the table.
"Don't you think scaring him out of the arena was enough?" Jimmy asked.
"Hell no." Dean said. "He drew blood, so now it's my turn, and boy oh boy I'm going to fucking spill a lot of his blood, from his nose, and mouth, and eyes, and ears, and every pore on his body."
Angel turned Naomi when she heard the woman gasp. "Don't mind him."
"Don't mind him? How the hell do you do that?"
"Well, I got used to him."
"I don't think that will ever happened." She said. "I've known him for longer than you, and I'm still not used to him."
"I get it. I kind of took the fast track."
"The fast track to that dick." Jey laughed.
Naomi quickly turned in her chair and scolded the fist bumping twins.
"We're just playing." Jimmy said with a charming smile. "And she knows that. Right Angel? You know we're just playing."
"Yeah, I know."
"See, she knows."
"Yeah, she might know that, but I'm telling you to behave. She gets enough shit from Eva Marie at work…"
Eyes going wide, Angel's eyes widened and her heart dropped as she turned her attention to Dean, who was thankfully was lost in his conversation with Roman. When she looked back at Naomi, she sighed at the look she was getting from her. 'You haven't told Dean, have you?'. The question was loud and clear even thought she didn't say a word.
Angel shook her head, earning her a disproving look.
"Here's your round of shots for the table." Their waitress appeared with the tray of drinks.
"Hell yeah! You're my hero." Dean smirked as she placed the thing on the table.
"Hero huh? Well that one's new." She said. "Oh there may be a little more then a double in there," She said pointing to the fullest drink. "I forgot to measure it."
"Fuck being my hero, you are a saint." Dean said passing the very full glass to Roman.
"Dude, quick flirting, your girl is right there." Jey chuckled.
"I'm not flirting. I'm being appreciative that she realized that my best bud needed a pick me up."
"Seems like flirting to me."
The waitress shook her head. "Don't worry about him. He's no where near as bad as some of the people that come in here." She said passing out the rest of the drinks. "Calling me sweetheart and telling me that I should smile."
"Well, you should smile sweetheart." Dean said with a playful tone. "Because you don't have to deal with my ass every day, like this one does." He said wrapping his arms Angel.
The lady rolled her eyes, even as the corner of her lips curled up into a smile. "That's true." She walked away.
Angel shook her head at the man who held a large smile on his face. "Someone's in a good mood."
"Of course, it's not every day that I get to literally run Seth out of the building."
"It's also not every day that you almost get ran over either."
"I was good." He shrugged. "Plenty of space between me and the car."
"Uh huh."
He winked at her before tossing back his shot.
Shaking her head at him, she took her own. The alcohol burned the whole way down, but she savored it. After the last week that they had, it was good to just be able to sit back and relax with some friends.
…
Angel hummed to herself as she washed her hands in the bathroom sink. Giggling at herself as she swayed on her feet. Which told her one thing, she drank too much. Looking into the mirror, she stared at her bloodshot eyes and her read face.
As she shook her head at herself, the door to the bathroom opened and Naomi walked in. "Fancy seeing you here." She said as she walked over to the open stall.
"Come here often?"
"Oh." She nodded. "Loads."
The two laughed.
Though, after it died down to an awkward silence, Naomi said. "So, why are you hiding what's going on with Eva from Dean?"
It took a moment for her to register the question, but when she did, she sighed. "Because it's stupid."
"It's not stupid. The whole Diva's division knows what Eva's been saying. She's been spreading rumors backstage."
Drawing a deep breath in threw her nose, she closed her eyes. She felt like she was back in high school again. She remembered the popular girls in the bathroom gossiping about everything. Did you see Hannah's new dress? It must be stolen; her family can't afford things like that. Did you hear about Mark and Stacey, they were making out under the bleachers at the game last night?
"She's just being petty."
"Well, you see... some of the stuff she's saying is really bad." Naomi said, quickly following it up with. "Though no one really believes her, it's still not good."
Knowing what Eva was hinting at on Friday, she could figure out just how bad the things she was saying was. "It's just rumors. And like you said no one really believes it, do there's really not really a reason to worry Dean about it."
"Aren't you worried that those rumors might travel?" Naomi said finishing up in the stall.
Angel sighed, she never really thought about what to do if Eva's nonsense started to spread. She had worried about Dean's image when he confronted Laim but that was nothing compared to how damaged it would be if Eva's rumors got to the internet. Dean's career would be ruined. Even though she knew that she still knew that telling Dean didn't do anything to fix that matter. In fact, it could make it worse if he ties to go to Eva to get her to stop. She most certainly a vindictive person. "Telling him won't help. And I don't think that Eva's really trying to ruin Dean, I think she's just trying to annoy me. Hopefully she get's bored of me or finds someone else to fuck with."
"That sounds like something she would do. I've learned a lot about her during the filming of Total Divas, the bitch is fickle.
"I hate to say this." Angel said as they walked out of the room. "Everyone seems a little fickle on Total Divas."
"You have no idea."
…
"Whoever is calling you better fucking be dying." Dean grumbled as he tossed onto his side and stuck his head under the pillow.
Groaning in response, Angel reached over to the bedside table next to her and grabbed her phone. Not bothering opening her eyes to see who calling, she answered the phone. "Hello?" She didn't hide her annoyance at all.
"Hello, is this Angel Miles?"
"It is."
"Hi there, my name is Nathanel and I'm calling on behalf of the WWE's legal team."
"Legal team?" Her eyes shot open.
"Why the hell is the legal team calling you?" Dean asked pulling his head from the pillow.
She waved her hand at him as she tried to listen to the man on the phone. "Yes, Ma'am. I'm calling to inform you that due to actions that were taken yesterday at Battleground, you and your client Mr. Dean Ambrose are being fined."
"Fined? What for?"
"For your actions taken against Mr. Seth Rollins."
"Excuse me!" She practically jumped from the bed.
"What part of that do you need more explanation about?"
"All of it." She told him. "I'm not understand how we're being fined?"
"Due to your actions that were taken…"
"Yeah, yeah. I understood what you said, what I don't understand is what did we do that justifies a fine."
"The brutal attack on Seth Rollins."
"Uh, no."
"Yes Ma'am."
"No! What we did last night was well within what our contracts state is allowed."
"The legal team have examined the footage and deemed that not so."
"HOW!"
"We found that the multiple attacks that took place went passed the accepted terms in the two of your contracts."
Pinching the bridge of her nose, she took a deep breath in. "Care to explain in what way we overstepped?"
"Ma'am, if you don't agree with the decision, you schedule a 'hearing' and fight against verdict. I am just calling you to inform you of the decision."
"So how would one go about scheduling a hearing."
"You would have to contact the GM of the show for that."
"The GM? Do you mean Stephanie and Hunter?" She asked knowing that no DM had been appointed since Brad Madoxx was fired.
"Yes Ma'am."
There was no fighting this, since she knew that Stephanie and Hunter were the ones who asked for the fine.
"Now as stated I am just calling you to inform you of the decision, you must talk to Stephanie and Hunter if you would like to fight the fine, but if there's anything else you need me to help you with, I'm more than happy too."
"Yeah, I do need your help with something." She said. "I've got a question for you."
"Yes ma'am?"
"Was Seth fined for what happened Monday?"
There was a pause and then the man said. "I'm not at liberty to say."
"He wasn't, was he?"
"Ma'am like I said…"
"That's fucked. You know that. If anything, what he did to Dean should be passed the accepted terms in our contracts. He put him the fucking hospital."
"Ma'am."
"Nah, save it. I don't want to hear your customer service bullshit. I already know what you're going to say. 'As stated before I am not at liberty to say whether or not Seth Rollins received a fine for what happened on Monday' right? Was I close?"
"Anything else I can help you with?"
"No."
"Have a…"
She hung up and threw her phone down on the bed.
"So, we got fined huh?"
"Yep."
She felt the weight of Dean's arm wrap around her pulling her back down into the bed. "Just one more to add to the tally." He hugged her tight. "Don't bother fighting it. The legal team is under the Authority's thumb."
"It's bullshit."
"You're right, but it is what it is." He mumbled into her hair.
"How do they get away with this shit."
"Because they're the McMahons and they are the top dogs in this industry, and have been for a long time, with no one to check them. Trust me the locker room has been fighting against their bullshit since Vince took over the company."
"Which only makes it worse."
"Yep." He nodded against her. "Now forget about it and no back to sleep."
"I can't. I'm too worked up."
"Well then, I guess you're just going to have to lay there awake, while I snuggle against you." He said pulling her even closer.
Even though she was so worked up from the ridiculous call, she felt herself ease into sleep, only to be woken up by her phone's alarm.
Soon the whole house was up and moving around as they got ready to head out for the airport, for their hour and half flight.
"Mommy, I can't find my sandals."
"I've already packed them."
"Dean, you didn't remember to grab your toothbrush."
"Can you grab it for me?"
"Have you seen my gym shorts?"
"There in the dryer, I haven't had a chance to pull them out."
After everyone seemed to have everything they needed, everyone piled into the car, Galina and Roman up front, Angel, Dean, and JoJo in the back. "Let's get this show on the road." Roman said as he backed out of the driveway. "Finally."
"You know that wouldn't have been as chaotic if the three of you came home before two in the morning?" Galina sighed.
"I blame Jimmy and Jey."
"You always blame them."
"They to be fair, they were the ones who wanted to close down the bar last night." Dean vouched.
"They didn't need to get up in the morning to catch a flight."
"True." Jimmy and Jey had the day off.
"Also, if someone would have made sure to pack his gym bag beforehand, maybe I wouldn't have had to do a last minute load of laundry."
"Mom and dad are fighting again." Dean said in a very exaggerated tone.
"They're fighting?" JoJo asked.
Angel quickly shook her head. "No, no, no. Dean's just joking." She gave a sharp look at Dean. "Right?"
"Right. Just me being silly."
"You're so weird Uncle Dean."
"And proud of it." Dean smirked.
"Speaking of being weird. I heard you real early this morning talking to someone loudly." Roman said looking at her threw the review mirror.
"Yeah, I got a call from the legal team this morning."
"The legal team?"
"Yep, apparently both Dean and I are getting fined."
"What! For what?" Galina asked.
"For the beatdown that we gave Seth last night." Dean answered.
"You mean the beatdown that mostly was you being detained and pulled away?"
"That's the one."
"That's so stupid."
Angel nodded in agreement. "Yep, apparently we went too far last night."
"Too far? Too far was trying to curb stomp someone in steel steps." Galina stated.
"Apparently not."
"But chase one man up onto their rental car and make them drive away with the trunk open, and that's way too far."
Katara Melody Cullen: OH! I love his little curls they're so cute...though you said they make him look more deadly and psychotic, so I don't know how to feel now. Lol. Thank you so much for the review! I hope you enjoy this chapter too!
BrookeWorm3: I'm so glad you liked it! Ah it always makes me so happy to read your reviews. I hope you like this one as well. Seth is an ass.
HugKnuckles: Nah not yet, don't worry I think everyone will love the way he finally says it. God I cried when I drafted it. Thank you for the review!
Katmoonchild: I'm still thinking about a discord. I'm not sure how to set one up for something like this. But I'm looking into it. Thank you for the review!
Sonia: Part of me just assumes that your guest, but you know what they say assuming makes an ass out of u and me. Also I'm so glad that you enjoyed the chapter. You want a hint of when Dean's going to say it...well I will say it will be right after a huge moment in Dean's WWE Story that's coming up soon. You can guess but I won't tell you if you're right.
DT610: Every time someone says they're rereading my mouth drops...Like damn my story is so long that one read is a lot, but reading it again...even I have trouble doing that. (Hence why I haven't gone back and edited the story, even though it needs it). Also holy paragraph batman! It makes me so happy that you can see the little moments that I try to add in without overstating it. Dean did think about firing Angel for just a second because he's worried about her but he also knows that he needs her with him. And Roman calling Dean Uce is something that I thought would mean more if he didn't say it all the time. Thank you so much for the sweet review i hope you really enjoy this chapter as well.
