Welcome to chapter One Hundred Fifteen. I hope you guy enjoy this chapter, don't worry a more 'story' based one is coming next. I just had to get the show out of the way and I wanted to get you something to read before the month was over. So here it is.
Monday Night Raw: July 21, 2014
Chapter One Hundred Fifteen
Waiting was already the worst part of the show but waiting for someone that might not even happened was even worse. Which was exactly what they were doing, they were huddled up next to one of the screens backstage since the start of the show, waiting just waiting for the chance of Dean getting a match.
They sat there and watched as Hunter started the show, and talk about how mad he was that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship not coming back to the Authority. They watched as he awkwardly made fun of the fans who use social media to talk about the show before he "guaran-damn-teed" that John Cena will no longer be the champion after Summerslam. He just needed to figure out who got the opportunity to face him, which ended in a mess as Randy came out and complained about the fact that he was still due his rematch against Cena from WrestleMania.
Hunter then said something that made that small jolt of anticipation run through Angel, that even through Randy was the front runner for who he was going to pick, he hadn't made up his mind, and he was going to give everyone in the locker room a chance to prove themselves tonight. Instantly she knew that Dean was the way that whoever stepped up was going to prove themselves. However, instead of someone answering that message right away as Angel has hoped, Randy started to bitch about how he would be champion if Kane had just done his job last night.
Cue Kane's music.
That's when the show turned into a bickering match between Kane and randy with Hunter tried to keep 'peace' between them. That was until Roman's music started.
"If you're going to have a conversation about the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, I think my name belongs in it." Roman started as he climbed up into the ring. "Because the last time I checked, no one wants to see John Cena verses Kane. And no one wants to see John Cena verses Randy Orton again. It seems like me that everyone wants to see John Cena verses Roman Reigns! Believe that!" Roman told them before landing a Superman Punch to the side of Kane's face.
This all ended in Hunter making an impromptu two on one match, with Roman being the one. Even though the fact that Hunter was just flaunting his power again, the match was good. Roman was able to handle himself well, even as Randy and Kane got in a few good punches, and if only Randy and Kane had been on the same page throughout the match, they might have won. Their own egos were the final nails in their coffin. At what ended up being the end of the match, Kane tried to tag out, but he just refused, making no effort to help his teammate who looked like he was clearly out of breath and in need of a reprieve.
And Kane being well Kane, didn't like this very much; and showed that by grabbing Randy by the throat. Which was the opening that Roman needed and he landed yet another Superman Punch to Kane's jaw, before hitting him with a Spear. One. Two. Three. Roman won.
After that Dean turned to her and asked. "Now here's the million-dollar question, did Roman impress Hunter or piss him off?"
"Probably pissed him off." She said, knowing that Hunter would never give Roman the shot at Summerslam. Even if he did impress him. Roman wasn't part of the Authority, and had no plans in becoming part of them, which made him a little hard to control. And the Authority didn't like not being in control.
Then came Nikki's match, which wasn't as long but as just as eventful. As soon as the match was announced, Angel's eyes locked onto TV. She wanted to see how bad this four on one match got. She had a bad feeling about it, and not just because Eva was part of it.
Dean once again had noticed how uneasy she was feeling because he asked if she was still worried about the whole Nikki and Eva thing.
"I mean I am. How can you invite someone to something a personal as your bachelorette party one day, and then the next agree to face her in a four on one match? I mean look at her." She pointed at the screen as the four women made their way out onto the stage, while Alicia Fox's music played. "Look." She pointed at the screen. "She doesn't give a fuck that she's about to beat down her own 'friend'."
"You're right." Dean agreed. "I would say she looks excited."
And then Nikki came out, and her stomach fell. The woman looked as if she was being leg to the gallows. Well, she did until she saw Brie, who was sitting in the front row. The two of them hugged and Brie wished her luck.
And then the 'exciting' part of everything happened when Stephanie came out. "Oh look, it's the quitter Brie Bella. My favorite Bella." Stephanie said into the mic that she was carrying as she walked down the ramp. "Nikki, I loved how you feigned surprise to see her, that was awesome. You know Brie, it's so interesting to see you out here. When you think, you went from being a world-famous Diva, one of the biggest stars on Es Total Divas to being just another face in the crowd. It's actually quite fitting. And why, why are you in this position? Oh, that's right, because you abandoned you sister Nikki for your husband Daniel Bryan the b plus player."
The crowd went wild with the 'yes' chant.
"Yes, Daniel was stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and has been on the shelve ever since. Good more Brie, that was really smart. But I'm glad you're out here because you get to watch Nikki get demolished by four other competitors in the ring. And I hope that you know when you think about it, that its all because of you."
"You're so pathetic." Brie said as Stephanie went to walk away. "You're such a bitch."
Stephanie didn't seem to like that one at all, as she decided to kick Brie out of the area. One her way out, Brie got ahold of the mic and called Stephanie out for being upset that she slapped her, and that she was taking it out of Nikki. "I'll tell you who you are. You are a vindictive bitch!"
Apparently, Stephanie really doesn't like to be called a bitch because she took the mic back from Brie and slapped her in the face. She then called for the bell, and it went just as Angel through it would; four women immediately began beating Nikki down until she fell to the mat and could only protect her head. Foxy then told the girls to pick her up, so that she could hit her with her finisher and pinned her.
At the end, Stephanie walked up and rubbed her lost into her face before telling her that she was going to do just as Brie had and quit.
Fuming from watching someone treat someone like that, she barely even paid attention to the next couple of matches, one being Bo Dallas verses Damien Sandow, and the other being the Miz and Dolph Ziggler. At some point there was also a Highlight Reel that was highjacked by Bray Wyatt in between but really didn't care about that either.
The next thing she realized that something cold touched her shoulder. When she looked up, Dean was leaning over, with his bottle of water in hand. "Here, you look like you need this more than me."
"Huh?"
"I thought maybe it would help you cool down, you seem a little hot since Nikki's match."
Sighing, she took the water.
"Now don't get me wrong, I do understand your anger, and it's kind of sexy, but you look like you're about to punch the screen."
Just as she was about to clam down. Hunter's voice broke through the Miz's theme song. "I understand all that, but just really no reason for you to face John Cena at Summerslam." The camera turned to show Seth standing there looking upset. "You have the Money in the Bank contract, guaranteed opportunity any time you want it. When you have all the cards, you don't put them on the table, you play them when you want to play them."
"Yeah, I understand. I get all that. But what's the point. Every time I put a hand together and try to play it, Dean Ambrose is there to screw it up for us. And telling you he's not going to stop. He's not going to stop until we stop him, and I mean permanently. We have to put him down for good."
Turning to Dean, she saw the cocky smirk on his face that she knew he would have as he enjoyed how frustrated Seth was getting, but then it faded as the fans started to cheer. Look back to the TV, she was Cesaro was now standing next to Hunter.
"Cesaro."
"Triple H."
"If there's anybody who should face John Cena at Summerslam, it should be me. I'm like a walking Money in the Bank contract. Anytime you put me in a championship match I'll get the job done. You're always talking about what's best for business, I made a business decision. As of this moment, I am no longer a Heymen guy. I want to be your guy."
Seth chuckled at him. "Hey look, he already has a guy."
"You."
"Yeah me. We don't need you around here."
"Ok. Alright. This is uncomfortable." Hunter intervened. "Here's the thing. This little bit of unfinished business running around here, named Dean Ambrose. If you want to finish that business for me in a match, let's say tonight. I can let you that that's something that would impress me."
"Consider it done." Cesaro and Hunter shook hands.
There it was, what they were waiting for the waiting for, finally. They finally knew that Dean did have a match tonight and who it was with.
Dean leaned back into his chair. "Cesaro huh? Not who I would have thought it was going to be, but hey it could have been worse."
"That reminds me, Galina was telling me that you and Cesaro were friends, like you used to hang out all the time back in FCW."
"Used to," Dean emphasized those words. "But he kind of uh, got a little upset with us when the Shield started to wreak havoc throughout the locker room."
A mix of high-pitched screams cut through the arena, coming the direction of the women's locker room.
"What the hell was that?" She cringed.
Shrugging, Dean leaned over the back of his chair and tried to get a good look down the hallway. "I have no fucking idea but it sounded like someone was dying."
Curious, she got up to check it out. Instantly she saw what was going on, Flo Rida was here to preform and apparently the entire Divas' division just found him. "It's nothing." She shook her head with a sigh. "Just a bunch of girls freaking out over our celebrity guest for the night."
"Ah."
"I had totally forgot that Flo Ride was even here tonight. He much have been hiding out in a private locker room or something."
"Probably." He nodded as he started to whistle the tune to Whistle.
She laughed. "Of course, you know that song."
"Sure do. Can you blow my whistle, baby. My whistle baby, let me know. Girl, I'm gonna show you how to do it and we start real slow. You just put your lips together and you come real close. Can you blow my whistle, baby? My whistle baby, here we go." Dean sang off key.
She laughed "You should see if you could perform with him. Maybe he needs a backup singer."
"Nah." He smirked. "I wouldn't want to upstage him."
"I don't know why but it strikes me as weird that you know Flo Rida."
"I only know a couple of songs, mainly from them playing at bars, but yeah. I know Whistle and Wild Ones, and there's one about feeling good or something."
"Oh my god!" Another scream came down the hall. "I can't believe that happened."
"I know."
"Ahh, he's such a hunk."
Turning around, Angel noticed the group of females who were giggling, Cameron, Eva Marie, Alicia Fox, and Rosa Mendez. Sighing, she slunk down in her chair and prayed that they wouldn't notice her, even though she knew she wasn't that lucky.
"I wish we could be out there to watch the show." Cameron sighed.
"We could still watch here." She heard Eva said. "And we can have our down little party."
"That sounds fun."
"Oh yeah!" Foxy agreed.
"Shit." Angel mumbled as she heard them walk up behind their chairs.
"Oh! Hey Angel, hey Dean!"
"Hey girls." Dean said with a half-smile.
"Do you mind if we watch the show here with you?" Eva asked sounding very innocent. "We really want to catch Flo Rida's concert."
Glancing at her, Dean said. "Uh, sure. The screens are for anyone to use right?"
"Cool."
"Thanks."
"You're the best."
Suddenly they were surrounded by the girls and Angel could feel Eva's eyes bore into the back of her head. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she tapped on Dean's shoulder. "Why don't we move our chairs, that way the huh, girls can dance if they want to."
"Oh sure." He stood up.
"That's so sweet of you." Eva said as she put her hand on her chest. "But you don't have to move for us."
"Don't worry about it, Angel said giving her a fake smile as she picked up her chair and moved it against the wall.
"You really don't like her, huh?" Dean said in a hushed tone as he jointed her against the wall.
"What gave you that idea?" She said sarcastically. "She's just fickle and acts like she's the queen of the roster or something, when she's really just a pretty face that Vince hired because he likes pretty women."
"Well, between you and me, she ain't that pretty either."
Angel ran her tongue over the healing scab on her lip as she tired not to think about how happy Dean's comment made her feel. She hated being that petty, but she couldn't help it when it came to Eva.
When the mini Flo Rida concert started, the girls let out squeal and started to jump around as if they were really at a concert.
"Warn me if any of them start to take their topes off." Dean whispered in her ear.
The performance was good, not the 'dancing' women in front of them, the one that was happening on the screen. Flo Rida sang a few songs and hyped up the crowd, at least most of the crowd. Some of them looked as if they never seen the man who was telling them to stand up and jump around.
Well afterwards, the crowd cheered for him and the commentary team tried to move onto the next segment. Though as Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler tried to get JBL to give him to pick who he thought would impress Hunter, JBL seemed preoccupied. It became apparent why as the camera cut over to Stephanie who was standing near the timekeeper's area, with three men gathered around them.
One that Angel knew as a member of the WWE legal team, and the other two she had never seen before. Since none of them were miced up, it was hard to hear what they were talking about but Stephanie looked very frazzled.
"I want to see your badge." Stephanie yelled at one of men.
"Badge, is that a cop?" Rosa asked as the girl's party seemed to come to a complete halt.
"I think it is."
"Why are the cops bothering Stephanie?"
"Holy shit, what the hell is going on out there." Angel asked turning towards Dean.
"It's hard to tell." He said stepping closer to the screen. "But I think our Million Dollar Princess is getting arrested."
Foxy spun around. "For what?"
He shrugged. "Probably because she slapped Brie."
"What!"
"Brie slapped her first." Eva reminded them.
"Yeah, but what you're forgetting was at that moment Brie was still apart of the company." Dean told them. "Making it perfectly fine for her, but now Brie is a paying costumer, meaning she was just a fan in the crowd."
Looking quite scared, they girls turned back to the screen, Angel asked. "Do you really think that she's going to get arrested for slapping Brie?"
"I'm sure that her daddy will do something about this, but for now, I think she will. Those two aren't just beat cops, they don't give a fuck who Stephanie is."
Glancing around the hallway, there was a strange silence through the normally busy area. Everyone, crew members, Superstars, and Divas watched in awe as the copes cuffed Stephanie McMahon. It was very clear that everyone was just as they were.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" The silence was broken by Hunter coming stomping down the hallway. Suddenly all they could hear was Stephanie and Hunter's yells and screams.
"I DON'T WANT TO BE ARRESTED!"
"YOU BETTER BE SURE OF THIS!"
"HUNTER HELP ME!"
"THESE ARE CAREER DECISIONS!"
When they finally got Stephanie into the cop car, Hunter's frustration boiled over and he screamed. "GET BACK TO WORK!"
As the normal sounds of backstage started back up, Dean started to chuckle next to her. "Holy shit. Who would have thunk it, Stephanie McMahon getting arrested at a show. Oh boy."
"I know." She said trying to hide the small smirk that was coming to her face. "Good on Brie for standing up for herself."
"Are you serious?" Eva said turned around. "You're rooting for Bire?" She scofted. "What she did was stupid, and all of this will backfire."
"What do you mean?"
"Think about it, if Stephanie was already taking out her problems with Brie on Nikki." Eva said smugly, making her face fall. "So now think about just how bad it's going to get when Stephanie gets out of jail."
"She's going to murder Nikki." Foxy added.
Angel's eyes widened and the four women in front of her laughed as they walk away. Any good feelings she had washed away. "Their right." She sighed. "There's no way Stephanie doesn't take this out on Nikki, is there?"
Dean shook his head. "Knowing her, no."
"Shit." She ran her fingers through her hair. Her mind was racing as she worried about what was about to happen to her friend. What could Stephanie do to one up what he has already done?
"Oh, hey Hank." She heard Dean say making her peak up to see Hank coming up to them looking less then thrilled. "You alright man, you look like someone pissed in your Wheaties."
"You could say that." He sighed. "I just came by to let you know that there are two matches before yours; Kofi and Big E verses RybAxel and Rusve verses the Great Khali."
Dean nodded. "Thanks for the heads up."
"Anytime." Another sigh. "God, I wish someone would have gave me the heads up that Brie was going to call the police on Stephanie tonight." Hank said sound very beatdown. "It going to be a long night for me."
"Oh I'm sure. I would hate to be you right now."
"Trust me, I hate to me right now. I have to make sure the rest of the show goes off without a hitch, make sure to keep communication with Hunter to figure out who he was going to announce to face Cena at Summerslam, another thing I wasn't told about. And on top of that, depending on how long this whole thing goes on, I'm going have to run all of Main Event tomorrow and possibly Smackdown."
"Sounds like someone needs a drink," Dean said. "You should come with us to the bar after the show."
Hank looked like he was going to take him up on the offer, but he shook his head. "I would, but I can't tonight. I have to get up in the morning and me and alcohol don't really like to sleep."
"Ah, got you next time."
"Next time." Hank said as he glanced towards Angel. "Though, you might need to take this one to get a drink. She looks like how I feel."
Pursing her lips together, she nodded. "Tonight, tonight is…"
"Say no more." Hank put his hand up.
Suddenly a voice called through the radio on his belt. "Hank, we need you down by Hunter's office."
Rolling his eyes, he pulled the radio off and brought it up to his mouth. "I'll be right there."
"Looks like you need to go."
"Yeah, looks that way."
"Good luck." Angel cheered him on.
"Thanks, I'm going to need it." He said walking off.
Turning towards Angel, Dean looked her up and down. "You know his right, you do look like uh, deflated"
"I feel it." She said. "There has been so many ups and downs tonight that I don't even know which way I'm going."
Putting his hand on her head to mess up her hair, he said. "You know which way you're going? You're going to come with me out to the ring and watch as I beat the fuck out of Cesaro."
"Am I?"
"Of course." He smirked. "Where else you would be?"
"Nowhere."
"I thought so."
"I just hope there's no more surprises tonight, please." She said swatting his hand off her head. That's when she felt a tap on her far shoulder. Glancing over, she saw Dean's hand and then heard a loud "BOO!" in her ear.
"Dick."
"No, no, no, Dean." He said pointing to himself. "Close."
She rolled her eyes. "Very funny."
"I thought so."
…
As soon as they walked into the gorilla a crew member called over their radio. "Dean and Angel are here."
"Hi everyone." Angel waved as she felt eyes on her. Dean on the other hand didn't bother with the pleasantries, he just walked towards a more open spot, away from the monitors so that he could wet down his hair.
"Are you two ready?" The crew member asked.
She glanced over to Dean who was bending it over pouring her water over his head. "I think so. Dean are you ready?" The only answer she got was a quick glance between his bangs and raised a brow in a sort of 'what do you think' way. "He's ready."
"Good. We'll be sending you out as soon as Goldust and Stardust's promo is done."
"Thank you." She nodded before heading over to Dean.
"Oh hey." Dean said shaking is hair out. "Earlier, you said no more surprises, so I wanted o warn you that I might be sending a message with this match."
"A message?"
"Yeah, so if you see me going for a chair or something, don't freak out."
"Ah." She said getting what he meant. "Just try not to do anything too stupid. Please, for me?" The only answer she got, was him sticking out his tongue and turning towards the curtains in time for his music to start.
She shook her head a him as she followed him out onto the stage. When they got to the ring, Cesaro's music kicked in and the man came out. Though before he could even get into the ring, Renee's voice took over.
"Well as we just saw from earlier tonight with Stephanie McMahon arrest, I've been informed that she is scheduled for an arrangement at some point tonight for battery on Brie Bella, there's also unconfirmed reports that she's being charged with resisting arrest. I'll keep you informed with any information as if comes to me."
"What do you know." She felt Dean lean against her. "the princess did get in trouble."
"Looks like it."
"Now, if you don't want to get in trouble I suggest getting out of the ring."
Even as his voice sent a chill down her spine, Angel waved him off with a "Yeah, yeah." Inching her way to the ropes, she patted him on the arm. "Go get him." When she hopped onto the floor Cesaro's music started back up signaling that the show had cut back to the ring.
Spinning around on her heels, she looked up at the two men who were eyeballing each other. There was an intensity between them, one that made it very apparent that they were both trying to use the other to send a message. Cesaro was trying to prove to the Authority that he was the best candidate to face Cena at Summerslam. While Dean was trying to show Seth just what kind of beat down he had barely missed last night, which apparently was a brutal one.
As soon as the bell hand rung, Dean didn't give Cesaro a second to think. He was on him in an instant, those while fists flying. They danced around the ring, taking the fight to ever corner of the thing because spilling out of the ring. Still having the upper hand, Dean was able to slam Cesaro back-first into the barricade
"Keep on him, Dean." She yelled as he threw Cesaro back into the ring.
When Dean climbed into the ring, Cesaro didn't just take an inch, he took the whole damn mile, starting with a kick to Dean's bad shoulder, knocking him down to the mat. He then grabbed Dean by the head and belt and pulled him around the ring, lining him up with the far corner.
Already knowing what Cesaro had in mind, Angel panicked as she yelled across the ring. "No, no, no, no!" But her pleas when unnoticed and Cesaro sent Dean shoulder-first into the steel pole.
Can I get just one match where someone doesn't want to break Dean's arm? She asked herself while Cesaro grabbed Dean's left arm as he climbed out onto the apron. After making sure he had a good grip, he jumped down to the floor, wrenching Dean's arm down with him. I guess not.
"Hey, Cesaro bring it back into the ring!" Ref Mike Chadio yelled at him, even as Cesaro pulled Dean across the ropes with his bad arm.
Once he was belly down on the second rope, Cesaro maneuvered him into a Suplex like hold with his feet still up on the ropes.
"Get him off the ropes, Cesaro!" The ref told him. "One. Two. Thr…"
Mike couldn't even get to the count of three before Cesaro pulled Dean off the ropes and into a strange but effective suplex to the floor.
Not able to see what was going on, on the other side of the ring, Angel spun around and watched the titantron as Dean jackhammered himself off the ground, his mouth open wide in a silent yell. "Come on, Dean." She called out to him, as she watched Cesaro grab him by his arm once more, only to slam it down against the floor.
"Get him into the ring!" The ref order again. This time Cesaro listened, he bend down and grabbed Dean by the head, and threw him threw the ropes and into the ring.
Turning back towards the ring, she eyed Dean who was rolling across the mat and yelled. "Get up! Get up!" However before he could, Cesaro was on him, working that left shoulder over. Twisting it and pulling it every which way.
"Do you wanna give up, Dean?" The ref asked.
"NO!" He barked.
"Just give up!" Cesaro Taunted.
"No!"
Biting her lip, Angel clenched her fists against her chest as she watched Dean fight through pain that she couldn't even imagine. God, it looked like Cesaro was trying to rip the think off, and to make matters worse, just when it looked like Dean was going to escape the hold that he had on him, Cesaro just yanked him back down to the mat.
"You got to get out of there." She said smacking the apron.
Dean was red faced, shaking, and looking as if he was ready to kill. He grunted and fought to get the knee off this head so that he could finally get his feet under him. Though his freedom was short lived as Cesaro got him into the corner and kicked him in the chest over and over.
When the ref finally pulled the Swiss man away, Dean came to life and launched himself at him, knocking him to the mat with fists a flying. "There you go!" She cheered with the crowd.
Keeping up that rabid energy, Dean grabbed Cesaro off the man and threw him through the ropes. "You wanna get nuts!" He yelled hopping up onto the second rope. Eyes locked on the ma, Dean slingshot himself with the ropes up and over, only to be caught by an uppercut.
"Oh god Dean!" She cried as she rushed around the ring to see him laying on the floor. Fearing the hit had knocked him out, she tried to get closer but that was easier said then done as Cesaro paced back and forth, cutting off her path to him. "Shit, Dean. Get up."
Letting out a battle cry, Cesaro grabbed Dean by his legs, and lifted him up like he was going to swing him, but instead of doing the full thing, he just slammed him into the barricade. This time instead of standing guard, Cesaro quickly got into the ring and showboated, like he knew he was about to win via count out.
Angel shook her head as she slid across the floor. Apparently Cesaro didn't know who he was dealing with. "How we doing over here?" She asked grabbing his hand.
"Did you always have four eyes?" He grumbled as he blinked his eyes.
"Are you good to keep going?"
"You know the answer to that."
"Ok then get up."
"Working on it." He said finally moving.
"Five!" The ref called. "Angel back up! Six!"
Quickly she put her hands up and back away on her knees, just in time for Dean to stand up.
"Seven. Eight."
As if he was waiting for the last count, he dove in under the bottom ropes, and the crowd cheered for him, even after Cesaro grabbed him again.
Breaking free from the man, Dean went for a clothesline but Cesaro ducked it and turned the momentum into a German Suplex. The hit made her cringe as Cesaro went for the pin, though she didn't feel like it was the end just yet.
"One. Two."
And she was right as Dean kicked out.
Looking quite annoyed, Cesaro smacked the mat before getting to his feet. Huffing and puffing his way over to Dean. Angel smirked to herself in pride even as he hung Dean on the top rope. Not as easy to take him out as you thought, huh Cesaro?
"Get him down!" The ref demanded.
Pushing past the ref, Cesaro delivered a huge boot to the shoulder. If it wasn't for the fact that it was Dean up there on the ropes, she might have applauded the fact that he was able to get foot up that high, but sadly it was Dean on the ropes.
Using the moment that his extraordinary kick gave him, Cesaro climbed up onto the ropes himself and set Dean up for a Superplex. But much to her surprise it seemed like Cesaro wasn't able to pull the move off. Fighting the move, Dean got out of the hood, and grabbed Cesaro by the head, forcing him to look up before delivering a headbutt to the man, knocking him down.
Moving so that he was perched up on the top ropes, Dean stared down at Cesaro, he looked like a hawk stalking his pray. When he found his moment, Dean launched himself at Cesaro, hitting square in the chest with a drop kick.
"Yeah! Let's go!" She cheered.
"Let's go Ambrose!" Echoed through the arena.
Dean's second wind busted through him like he couldn't contain it. He followed Cesaro around the ring, hitting him at every chance that he got. "You got this!" She yelled as Dean covered Cesaro after a tornado DDT.
"One. Two."
When Cesaro kicked out, she could see the frustration that washed over Dean. "Keep on him Dean! You got to keep on him, but you got to keep your head." She warned as he went for a suplex. Though Cesaro did a bit of quick thinking and counted the move by grabbing Dean's bad arm and wrapping it behind him.
The two of them stumbled around on their feet, heading for the corner. Smartly, Dean let himself fall down to his knees, forcing Cesaro to fall face first into the turnbuckles. Without hesitation, Dean rolled him up, but Cesaro was able to kick out.
As the match went on, she could see the subtle changes in both men, not only was frustration getting to both of them, but so was all the bumps and bruises from the match. Theses men were running on empty but wouldn't admit it. They threw themselves at each other, exchanged clothesline and covers, but nothing seemed to work.
Though when Dean got back up onto the top rope again, it seemed like Cesaro had thrown winning the match out of the window. He knocked Dean's legs out from under him, low blowing him with the ropes, he pulled him back into the Tree of Woe. He then started to stomp down on Dean over, and over, and over. The ref had to pull him away twice.
"I'm not kidding, get him out of there!" The ref said not even bothering to count this time.
However, before Cesaro could go for his next move, Dean got himself off the ropes. Eyeing up the corner once again, Cesaro grabbed Dean and pulled him back. Reading herself for what was about to happen, Angel gasped when Dean revered the move and sent Cesaro into the pole this time.
"Alright." She cheered. However, when Dean pulled the man back to do it again, her cheering dyed down and stopped all together when he did it a third time.
She knew what the change in his aggression meant, it meant that it was time. Walking around the ring, she met Dean where he had slipped under the bottom rope. The noises that were coming from him as he made his way towards the timekeepers' area were inhuman sounding. She watched his eyes locked on the unlucky crew member who just so happened to be sitting on a metal chair.
The man put up his hands. "Hey, wait a minute…"
Dean pushed him out of his way and grabbed his hair without a word. Turning back to the ring, he folding the things up before giving it a few practice swings. Eyes dark, he moved towards Cesaro who was still laying in-between the turnbuckles, pausing just long enough to look towards her, he swung the chair and smashed Cesaro's arm between it and the steel post.
"Ring the bell!" The ref called.
Taking a deep breath, Angel had to remind herself that Dean had done just what he told her he would, he sent a message to Seth, a message that was loud and proud and read; DON'T FUCK WITH DEAN AMBROSE!
On the upside, the fans seemed to love it. They clapped and cheered for him as he tossed the chair into the ring before turning back towards the timekeeper's area to grab yet another one from another poor crew member.
After throwing that one in the ring as well, he climbed into the ring, grabbed the chair off the man. "You want more? Huh?" He asked Cesaro who was kneeling on the ramp holding his arm.
Contemplating her next move, she heard the commentary crew gasping and gawking at what had just happened. "Ambrose's is out there." Michael Cole said.
"Ambrose's is out there." She heard Michael Cole say.
"Out there? He's completely nuts." JBL scoffed. "How on earth can Angel be ok with this? How can she be ok with her boyfriend acting like a complete madman?"
Clicking her tongue, she took deep breath trying not to show that JBL had gotten to her. Was she happy with Dean DQing himself from the match, a match that he could have totally won, not really, but she understood why he did what he did. And she stood with this decision, would always stand with him. She would show JBL that she as more the ok with her boyfriend acting like a complete madman.
Marching over to the side of the ring, she pulled hserlf up onto the ring's apron. She ducked through the ropes and made her way over to Dean, who was now sitting backwards on one of the chairs that he had thrown into the ring.
"Is that all you got?" He yelled at Cesaro. "Is that all you got?"
"I think it might be." She said placing a hand on his shoulder. She could feel the way his muscle jumped from her touch. After a couple of seconds, he turned away from the stage and she noticed that he had a bit of spit on his bottom lip. "You got something on your face." She grabbed the strap of his tank and wiped it off.
"Thanks." He said with a slightly amused look on his face.
"Anytime." She leaned down and gave him what was supposed to be a quick kiss, but when she went to pull her head back, a heavy hand grabbed of her head and kept her there, making the crowd cheer and whoop.
When they finally pulled away from each other, she made a point to look up over at the commentary team. From the middle of the ring, she could see the disgusted look on JBL's face and smirked before looking down at Dean.
"Care to let me know what that was about."
"Just proving a point."
"And what kind of point is that?"
"That I stand by you no matter what."
"Well I like both the point and the way you made it."
"Thought you would." She laughed as he stood up.
Making their way out of the ring, the two of them walked up the ramp and through the curtain to the backstage. As soon as they got through the gorilla, Dean's entire swagger changed. He when from walking tall, without a care in the world, to hold his left arm close to him and limping.
"You ok?"
"I'm good." He nodded. "Adrenaline is wearing off, you know how it is."
"It sounds like someone's in need of a warm bath with some bath salts and a good night sleep."
"More like a drink and my girl." He said rubbing his left shoulder.
Stopping at catering for some waters, they started for the dark corner where they stashed their things. She hoped that Roman was waiting for them, so that they could pack up and get going, even if Dean wasn't ready for bed. She was.
However there was a different long-haired beauty was waiting for them. "You think she's looking for us?" Angel asked as she gestured to Brandi who had both a mic and a camera crew with her.
"Judging by the way her eyes just lit up when she looked this way, yes." Dean answered.
"Oh hey! Can I get a quick interview for WWE Fallout?" Brandi asked. "Please?"
Dean pursed his lip and rubbed his shoulder but nodded. "We should be able to do that. Right?"
"Right." Angel agreed.
"Thank you." Brandi smiled as she turned to the crew member behind the camera. "Ready?"
"Recording in three, two, one…."
"Dean, you're DQ tonight over Cesaro was that Dean Ambrose sending a message to Seth Rollins?"
Ding. Ding. Ding. Angel smirked as Brandi held out the mic to Dean.
"Hey that's just me doing what I got to do to survive around here. That's just me getting a clean victory. That counts as a clean victory, right? Right because if Seth Rollins gets a forfeit win over a guy who's not even in the building…"
"Who wasn't allowed in the building." Angel quickly interjected.
"Right." Dean pointed at her. "Right, If Seth gets a forfeit win over a guy who wasn't even allowed in the building at Battlegrounds, then how come that doesn't out as a win. Same thing, right?" Dean then put his hands up in the air as if he was caught red handed doing something. "Ok, sorry, I'm complaining. I'm making trouble. I'm being irresponsible with steel chairs."
Angel nodded. "You really shouldn't be throwing them around like that, someone could get hurt." She said playing along.
"Eh," He shrugged. "Here's what I really want to know, how is Stephanie McMahon. Has anyone heard from Stephanie? She's in jail tonight." Dean turned to look right into the camera. "Stephanie, Stephanie I have a message for you. I hope you can hear me. Imma try to get ahold of you tonight and get you some phone number of some guys who I know, who have gotten me out of similar situations then you are tonight."
Raising a brow at what he was saying but let him keep rambling.
"Their names are Sneaky Pete, and Fat Tony, they're good gu…they're…They're good at what they do guys. And they helped me out in the past. I want you to know, if any of those big burly women in jail tonight try to mess with you, or try to push you, or try and rough you up, you stand up to them, ok. Because you're a McMahon, alright. Just stay strong Stephanie, we're all praying for you."
When he was done, he turned back to Brandi before completely turning around and walking the other direction, the opposite direction then where they needed to go.
"Huh?" Brandi looked towards Angel for help, but she just shrugged and walked off after Dean.
"Cut?" the camera man called. "We're clear."
"That was…something."
"It's always something with Dean Ambrose." Angel laughed as Dean came back over to them. "So Sneaky Pete and Fat Tony huh?"
Dean nodded. "Nice guys, well not nice but you know. Pete's ok once you get to know him, though you best watch your jewerly around him. And Tony…if you ever meet Tony then just remember he doesn't take too kindly to people looking at his mole, it's right below his lip."
"They're really people?" Brandi asked.
"Who are?"
"Sneaky Pete and Fat Tony."
"Who?" He cocked his head with a smirk.
Brandi gave him a playful glare. "You're so annoying."
Dean winked and clicked his tongue. "You know it."
"Stop picking on Brandi and let's go." Angel told him, as she smacked him on the chest.
"Ooo." He grunted as he scrunched up his face as grabbed the spot that she smacked. "Whose picking on who?"
Sighing, she waved goodbye to Brandi. "We'll catch you later."
"Yeah, thanks for letting me stop yeah!"
"Any time."
As they walked away, suddenly Angel was hit with a surge of exhaustion. When she had suggested a bath and a good night sleep to Dean, she didn't realize that it was her inner monologue telling her what she needed.
When they had gotten back to their little corner, they stopped dead in their tracks as on the screen was Brock Lesnar.
"What the fuck! Brock Lesnar is his pick for Cena at Summerslam." Dean said clearly not happy. "His bank account must be running a bit low for his liking."
Angel eyes widened as she watched the end of the show. This was the first time since she started working that Brock Lesnar had shown up to the show. And it was strange. She had gotten used to seeing most of the people that work here, but seeing Brock Lesnar was a whole new level. It was like she never thought it was possible that she could never run into him.
"Randy's not going to be happy about this."
"I would love to see him tell Brock that."
After the show turned off, Angel felt herself get hit with a surge of exhaustion. It was like the TV turned off and show did any energy that she had left. Now she was just yawning as she half-lidded scrolled absentmindedly through social media.
"You ok Babygirl?" Roman asked as he appeared from behind a few travel cases.
She gave a lazy nod. "I'm good, just tired."
"I can tell."
"What gave it away." She said yawning once more.
Everyone laughed.
"So no after party." Dean asked.
"I'm afraid not." She shook her head. "It's a bath and bed for me."
"Aw, party pooper. We'll just have fun without you."
"That's fine." She said. "As long as I get to snuggle in some blankets and go to sleep."
Suddenly, Renee came running down the hallway. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't think that meeting was going to take that long, but with everything that's happened tonight, Hank and Mark just went on talking, and talking."
"That's not surprising, I mean first Stephanie gets arrested and then Hunter brings in fucking Brock Lesnar as his pick for who's going to face John Cena at Summerslam, I'm actually surprised that they didn't have a full company meeting."
"Thank god for that, we would still be here until Smackdown." Renee sighed.
"No, no, no. I don't even want to be here another minute."
"Someone's sleepy." Roman mocked.
"I am." She said proudly. "Now if you don't mind. This sleepy bitch needs would like to leave so that she can go to sleep." She didn't know if it was the look on her face or her gusto as she spoke that made everyone chuckle, but she didn't care because they started to get ready to head out.
"So, what was the meeting about, anyway?" Dean asked grabbing his bags.
"Really nothing." Renee explained. "All they talked about was the fact that the shows were going to carry on like normal even those Stephanie's been arrested and the fact that if she ends up being detained for longer then just tonight, that Kane's going to be in charge."
"Damn, that is worse than nothing." Roman chuffed. "Like why the hell did they need a meeting to tell everyone that? I could have told everyone that, in like five seconds."
"Yep, but instead I had to sit through Mark Carrano talk for thirty minutes about the same thing, god does that man ramble."
Not trying to be a bitch but really wanted to get out of here, Angel said. "Hey, speaking of rambling…"
"Yeah, yeah." Dean picked at her. "I guess we really should get going before this one collapses."
"Hey you would just have to carry me."
"Been there done that."
Katara Melody Cullen: Thank you for the nice review as ever. I wanted to do something special for the next couple of chapters and I think Roman going all out for his friends was a nice way to do it. And don't you worry there's going to be more about the room then just Roman spending way too much on it.
HugKunckles: I love being in Dean's pov I just hope I'm not being too sappy for him.
Katmoonchild: Dean will find out about Eva...soonish, promise
BrookeWorm3: I don't think I'm going to cut the drinking out of the story because just because it's kind of part of Dean's character. I feel for the world about Jon Good getting help for his problems but I just feel like it would be in Ambrose and really Moxley's character to drink. I'm sorry if that makes you or anyone upset with that but it's what I feel works for the character. Also the Eva drama is some of my fav that I added to the story
Sonia: I'm so glad you still enjoy the story and thank you so much for the review. I hope you like this chapter as well. It always makes me really happy to see reviews from everyone, keeps me going. In fact it makes me want to write this more then the novel series that I've been working on.
