LaLu Week 2023

Day 1 – Snatch (to quickly seize something in a rude or eager way)

It's a beautiful Tuesday afternoon in the town of Magnolia. The townspeople are out and about shopping, taking their kids to the park to play. How can one tell it's a Tuesday? Well, the Fairy Tail guild is quite lively, more lively than any other day of the week.

There's a manly brawl that involves a fire dragon slayer, an ice demon slayer, a takeover beast soul mage, and many others. A script mage sits in a far corner reading a book. Her two companions, an iron dragon slayer, and a black exceed, are with her. One is eating iron and the other is eating juicy tart kiwis. The iron dragon slayer enters the brawl when a chair almost hits his pregnant fiancée. A scarlet-haired mage is at the bar eating strawberry cake with a sky dragon slayer and a white exceed sitting with her. There is a picto mage sitting far enough away from the fray to capture all the happenings in the guild.

There is also a blond celestial spirit mage sitting at the bar, drinking a strawberry smoothie, telling her Satan soul friend about one of the battles during the 100-year quest.

"I never once thought there would be a day that I would have to protect Laxus from a strong mage like Kiria. Of course, I was going to protect him with everything I had but this is Laxus we're talking about. You would expect it to be the other way around."

Mira has her elbows on the bar, her chin in her hands, smiling at Lucy. "Never say never, Lucy. You know more than most to always expect the unexpected when it comes to our guild."

Lucy snorts, "Ain't that the truth." She takes a sip of her smoothie. "I'm also surprised he looked away when Horologium went back to the spirit world leaving me naked but that could be because I'm used to our other male guildmates being perverts."

"Between being the Master's grandson and having grown up with male figures such as Gildarts, Macao, and Wakaba he could be a closeted pervert," Mira chuckles.

"Maybe, but he let the enemy wear his coat so she wasn't left fighting naked. Anyways, I would have been a goner had he not taken the attack that was meant to kill me. He motivated me by reminding me of our guild bonds. It gave me the push I needed. My strength also came from the bonds I made with others along the way."

The sound of a door swinging open and banging against a wall startle almost everyone in the guild. "Blondie!"

"Those bonds helped me use the AquariusxGemini star dress that I can only hold for 16 seconds. Which was all I needed to make a copy of Hisui and Yukino to pull off the spell Gottfried. Sorry, I'm rambling."

"No worries Lucy."

As Laxus is stomping down the stairs he overhears Lucy. He was surprised Lucy had it in her. Although he shouldn't have been considering she's been partnered with Natsu since she joined. Then shortly after she started working with Erza and Gray then eventually Wendy. He loathes to admit it but Team Natsu gives his team a run for their money.

He couldn't have been more proud of her. She's come a long way since she first joined the guild, but right now he's not too impressed with a certain spirit of hers. Ever since they met Virgo has enjoyed fucking with him. He knows Virgo's goal is to get him to punish her and her wish is about to come true.

"BLONDIE!"

"What is it Sparky?"

"Virgo."

"What has she done?"

"She took my coat."

Lucy calls for Virgo to come out and Laxus punishes her by giving her a little shock. Virgo is happy, Lucy not so much. Virgo writes it down in her notebook while Lucy warns Laxus that all he did was encourage Virgo to continue making him mad. She tells them both to apologize.

Laxus says, "What did I do wrong?"

"You shocked my Spirit!"

"She didn't seem to mind."

"That's not the point."

Virgo apologizes and mentions she had his coat cleaned and repaired while she had it.

Laxus unfolds the coat to get a good look at it. He thanks Virgo for repairing and cleaning it. "Sorry, Virgo for shocking you. If you want to continue to play pranks go ahead but my coat and headphones are off-limits."

"Wait, she's been doing what?"

"You didn't know?"

"No!"

"Huh, I thought you put her up to it."

"Why would I do that?"

"I thought it was your way of flirting with me." Laxus leans his side up against the counter facing Lucy.

Lucy splutters, "Umm… uhh.. no.."

Laxus laughs. "Relax, it's only been little things nothing too serious. She even got Bickslow a couple of times."

Lucy looks down, "I'm sorry too Laxus. I know you would never seriously hurt her and it's no secret that Virgo likes to instigate hoping to get punished." Lucy looks over at Virgo, "You know Virgo, I planned on going back to those ruins and summoning you guys to request something of me for all the hard work you do and for being such good friends. It looks as though you got your "punishment" a little early."

Laxus speaks up, "Well that isn't exactly fair since she got punished by me, not you."

Lucy looks at Laxus prepared to argue but changes her mind, "fine." How can she say no when he's sticking up for her spirit?

Virgo bows and before taking her leave she says, "Thank you Laxus-sama. I promise that I will not snatch your coat or headphones."

"Wait! So, you're the one who has been playing pranks on me?" Lucy accuses Laxus.

"Like I said I thought you put Virgo up to pranking me."

"I don't have a death wish."

"I wouldn't hurt you." Laxus takes Lucy's strawberry milkshake and takes a drink. "Mmm, your milkshake is good." Completely ignoring Lucy's menacing aura.

Mira giggles, "I think you have a death wish Laxus."

"Hmm, why?"

"Just like no one is brave enough to mess with Erza's cake, no one, not even Natsu is stupid enough to snatch Lucy's milkshake."

"What is she going to-"

"Taurus Star Dress."

Laxus is too busy ogling Lucy and isn't quick enough to block her attack.

"Lucy Gut Punch!"

Laxus drops the milkshake and Lucy catches it right before a Lucy kick with Taurus' power sending Laxus flying across the hall.

Lucy sits back at the bar finishing her milkshake. "Thank you, Mira!"

"Of course, Lucy."

Laxus gets back up and cracks his neck. "You wanna go Blondie?"

"Nope! Bye!" Lucy changes into her Virgo Star Dress and tunnels her way out of there.

Laxus mutters, "fucking blondie," with a bit of a grin on his face.

I am a day behind and I don't even have all of them written up yet. It's been a crazy busy summer.
