Day 2 - Request (an act of politely or formally asking for something)
"So where are we going?"
Lucy looks up at Laxus who is walking beside her, "I am going to these old ruins to summon my spirits and tell them they can request whatever they want from me. As long as it's not pervy. Where are you going?"
"I'm curious and decided to tag along."
"Why?"
"To meet your other spirits."
"umm.. okay."
"Do you not want me to? And where is Natsu?"
"He said as fun as it was last time, he didn't want to sit through my spirit's weird requests again, so he's hanging out with Lisanna. And don't think I don't want you to meet my spirits. I'm just not used to people showing an interest."
Freed who is not far behind with Bickslow and Evergreen speaks up, "That's because many people don't understand your magic and that spirits are living beings too. Former summoners such as Sorano and Karen did not help to get others to think of their spirits as more than just shields and tools to use at their disposal."
"So why did you three come along? For the same reason as Laxus?"
"I may have seen them in battle alongside you, but I never actually got to meet them, aside from Loke of course," Bickslow says.
Laxus mutters, "I forgot about that playboy."
Evergreen catches up to Lucy and Laxus, "Honestly I tried telling them to leave you two alone."
"Why?" Laxus questions.
"Oh, nothing." She smirks behind her fan when she sees Laxus blush. She knows about his crush on Lucy. "But I am curious as well."
"Okay, we're here. Go ahead and take a seat."
The Thunder Legion finds a seat, but Laxus remains standing close by Lucy.
Lucy summons Capricorn. "Open gate of the Ze Goat! Capricorn."
"Hello there Lady Lucy," Capricorn bows with a hand over his heart. "How may I be of service today?"
"I'm taking requests again, so is there anything you would like?"
"I would like input on a new poem I wrote." As he recites it Freed is the only one who pays attention to him.
Laxus leans into Lucy to whisper in her ear, "is that all?"
"Yup, it's the same thing he asked for last time."
Capricorn finishes and Freed is the only one who has useful feedback. They converse about it until Capricorn is satisfied. "Thank you Lady Lucy."
"Anytime Caps!"
Capricorn goes back into the spirit world.
Bickslow laughs and asks, "Caps?"
"Yeah, it just came out one day while we were having tea together and it actually made him cry a little. Apparently, that's what I used to call him when I was a child."
"Oh yeah, he was one of your mothers. Where was he and how did you get him back?" Freed asks.
"He was a part of Grimoire Heart," Laxus cuts in.
Lucy asks him, "How did you know that?"
"I was there when Master Hades called him out on betraying him."
"Oh, right."
"Why was he part of that guild?"
Lucy tells them the tale of Zoldeo. "Alright, Cancer is next. Open the gate of the crab! Cancer!"
"Hey, ebi- What can I do for you?"
"I was wondering what I could do for you."
"I would like to try out some new hairstyles."
Lucy looks over at Evergreen, "How do you feel about getting your hair styled?"
"It depends on what it is."
"Nothing crazy like I did for the blue cat ebi."
Lucy holds up a mirror in front of Evergreen while Cancer styles her hair.
"Which one do you like better Ever?"
"I really liked the second one."
Cancer styles her hair like that again. "There you go."
"Thank you cancer!" Evergreen exclaims while checking out her new do.
"No, thank you." Cancer goes back to the spirit world.
Lucy looks at her next key then at Ever then over to Laxus and Bickslow. "Hey, guys?"
"Yeah?" they say in unison.
"Could Ever use your cloak Bickslow and Laxus could I borrow your coat?"
Ever asks, "why Lucy?"
"You'll see."
Trusting Lucy Laxus lets her put his coat on. He sees her wrap it around her body. Evergreen does the same with Bickslow's cloak confused.
"Open Gate of The Bull! Taurus!"
"Miss Lucy you are looking as fine as ever. Oh, and who's this?" Taurus asks while looking at Evergreen with hearts in his eyes.
"Taurus, I'm taking requests. Is there anything you would like that isn't pervy?"
"How about you two take those coats off so I can see those wonderful-" "
"Force gate closure." Lucy hands Laxus his coat back. "That's why."
As ever hands Bickslow back his cloak she says, "what a perv."
Bickslow cackles.
Freed looks unimpressed.
Laxus looks at Lucy and says, "I don't know who's worse. Him or Virgo."
Virgo uses her own magic and comes out of her gate. "Is it time for punishment from you now Princess?"
"Yes, Virgo. You can actually thank Loke for this one."
Lucy brings her fingers up to Virgo's forehead and they shine a brilliant bright light. "Reguluuuus Luuuucy Flick!" and she flicks her in the head. It causes Virgo to stumble back a little.
"Wow oh wow oh Wow! Princess that is the best punishment yet. Even better than when Laxus-sama shocked me." Virgo gets her book out and writes everything down muttering, "I definitely have to make sure I thank big brother."
"Big Brother?" Freed asks.
"Loke got her calling him that." Lucy holds a hand up, "don't ask."
"You rang Princess? Oh hello Evergreen! You are looking radiant today."
Evergreen's eyebrow twitches. "You're lucky you're Lucy's spirit."
"Evergreen please don't hit Leo the Lion."
"I would never hurt any of your spirits Lucy, even if they are pervs."
"Thanks. However, you are more than welcome to whack Loke of Fairy Tail upside his head."
Evergreen smiles deviously and hits him upside the head with her fan.
"Ow! Lucy I'm hurt you would allow her to do such a thing." Loke fake pouts.
"You'll get over it. So, what would you like to request of me?"
"How about a good ol' fashion spar." Loke says while straightening out his tie.
"Okay and with who?"
"You."
Lucy points to herself, "Me?"
"Yes you. In my star dress."
"Alright. Stardress! Leo Form!"
During their sparring Lucy changes to her VirgoxLeo star dress. The four watch and are in awe at the sight of her combining the two star dresses. They have heard about it but have never seen it done.
Laxus vaguely remembers Lucy combining Aquarius's and Gemini's star dress during her fight with Kiria.
"Alright, it's time for a break."
Virgo pops out and brings them food. They make idle chit chat and once Lucy is good to go they pick up where she left off.
"Open gate of the archer, Sagittarius"
"Howdy-do my lady."
"Hey Sagittarius! I'm sure you've heard I'm taking requests again."
"Yes moshi moshi. I have given it great thought and I think we should face off against each other."
"You want to compete in archery? Alright, what should the target be?"
"Hey Cosplayer, you two can shoot down my babies again."
"No, that's- wait, can we put apples on them? I don't want to shoot your babies again. Ugh, that sounded so wrong."
Bickslow chuckles and says, "How about it babies!" Shoot apples! Shoot apples!
There's no clear winner but the two have fun regardless.
After Lucy and Sagittarius are done Evergreen looks at the pair of archers, "I thought it would be more difficult with the way Bickslow's zoom around so fast."
Lucy explains that the arrows hone in on their target.
Lucy summons Gemini after Sagittarius takes his leave. "Hi Miss Lucy! We heard about what you're doing, and we want to test your magic by having you try to copy their magic." They refer to Laxus and The Thunder Legion.
"They have to agree first."
They all do so. They're able to copy everyone but Laxus. This is good for him because if he remembers their abilities correctly they can also gather information on said individual. He does not want Lucy to learn about his attraction to her from her spirit.
It is now Aries's turn, "Miss Lucy, I've always wanted to have a girl's day."
Evergreen squeals, "We can go shopping and go to the spa." Evergreen continues on about what they'll do.
When it's Scorpio's turn he asks Lucy to change into his star dress and send Taurus back out. They're going to work on the unison raid but with Lucy a part of it. Thankfully Taurus doesn't act like a perv, so the others are able to gather more about him. He's quite formidable when he actually focuses.
Lucy wonders what is up with her spirits and wanting to spar, they didn't want to do this the last time. The others on the other hand have been enjoying watching Lucy. They've heard her magic is very versatile but have never seen it. Laxus thinks about taking her out on a mission.
"Now for the last one. Let's hope she's in a good mood."
Aquarius informs Lucy that she is the one to put them up to it. She didn't want Lucy to do so with all of her spirits because it would drain a lot of her magic energy. If she wants to be able to hold the AquariusxGemini star dress for more than 16 seconds then she needs to start training more.
At the end, Evergreen says The Thunder Legion has to get going because of reasons. Bickslow catches on but Freed wants to stay behind to talk to Lucy about her magic. Evergreen lifts him up and flies off telling him that can wait for another time.
"Sorry about them, they can be strange," Laxus tells Lucy.
Lucy shrugs her shoulders, "No stranger than my team. I got to get going myself."
"I'll walk you home."
"You don't have to do that. I don't think there's anyone that wants to kidnap me."
"Well after that statement I have to now."
"HEY!"
"I also wanted to talk to you more about your magic."
They walk and talk until they get to Lucy's place.
"Thank you Laxus. Not just for walking me home but for spending the day with me and my spirits."
"You're welcome Blondie. They're something else."
"Yeah, they are. Well, you have a good night."
"You too. Before I go, I was wondering if you would like to go on a mission together. With the Thunder Legion and I."
"I would like that."
"Awesome, you can pick any one you want off of the S-Class board."
"Really?"
Laxus nods his head.
"I can't go tomorrow because Team Natsu has a mission but afterwards?"
"It's a da- *cough* plan. Good night." Laxus ports away.
'Did Laxus really almost call it a date?'
