Finding Lincoln

Flashback: (One month ago)

Just after Lincoln was teleported and the family got their acts together, they tried everything they could to locate their missing son/brother. Lori called Bobby in Great Lake City in the hopes that Lincoln ended up there. Bobby, Ronnie Anne, and all of Ronnie Anne's friends and other relatives asked around the city to see if anyone heard anything about a white-haired boy suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Other than weird looks from the people they asked, they didn't get any eyewitness accounts of Lincoln appearing. Rita called her dad, Albert Cunningham, and told him the situation. Albert called people he met all over the world while he was in the military, but no one has seen or heard about Lincoln appearing. Lisa contacted science colleagues she's been in contact with from all over the world to find out if any of them has any leads for them, but like everyone else, she came up empty-handed. The family tried everything they could think of to find Lincoln, but they didn't have any luck at all. As the days passed, their hope dwindled. The fact that their brother was missing and possibly cold, hungry and alone was having a bad effect on the family. They all had a lot of trouble sleeping at night because they thought Lincoln was possibly in poor health or in danger, wherever he ended up. Lynn Sr. and Rita had trouble working at their jobs because their minds were too preoccupied with thoughts of Lincoln. Lori was having trouble focusing at her classes at Fairway University and her grades were slipping. She called home everyday in hopes that Lincoln was found and stopped by on weekends, hoping to see Lincoln, but she was always saddened when her hopes were crushed. Leni was always depressed and worried about Lincoln. She wasn't nearly as cheerful as she used to be and she was having trouble focusing on school and her job at Reininger's. Her friends tried calling relatives who live in different states and countries in the hopes that any of them has information on Lincoln to help cheer Leni up, but none of them saw or heard anything either. Luna had trouble with her music because her heart wasn't in it because she's been worried about Lincoln. Luna's friends did what Leni's friends did and called up relatives, but they didn't have much luck either. Luan was too sad about Lincoln to focus on comedy. She hasn't told a joke or made a pun in weeks. She also put her Funny Business on hold until she found out what happened to Lincoln. Lynn Jr wasn't doing so well in her sports because she couldn't focus with her brother missing and his fate unknown. Lucy was depressed, well, more than she usually was; with her brother not being around. She missed him being around to help her with her poems. The twins were too depressed to even fight with each other. Lola wasn't really doing much with her pageantry because Lincoln wasn't there to help her when she needed it or being there to support her. She dropped out of pageants until her family found Lincoln or they learned what happened to him. Lana was too sad to really do anything. She still took care of all her pets, but she still missed Lincoln to hang out with. Her animal friends tried doing all they could to cheer her up, but nothing worked. Lisa put all her work on hold and focused on trying to figure out how to locate Lincoln, but so far, she had no success. Lily was miserable without Lincoln to be with her. She always went into Lincoln's room, hoping to see him reading comics in his underwear like he usually does, but was saddened when he wasn't. Lincoln's friends were upset when they heard that Lincoln disappeared. All of them tried calling distant relatives in the hopes they heard or saw something, but like with everyone else, they got no leads. Clyde McBride stopped by the Loud House after school and on weekends, hoping Lincoln would be there; but was always saddened when he wasn't. It was a month later after Lincoln vanished when Lisa had the news. It was right when Clyde just stopped by when Lisa called the rest of the family and Clyde up to her room. When they all got there, they saw Lisa standing by a large computer screen showing a map of the world.

"Family and Clyde; thank you for coming." said Lisa.

"What's going on here, sweetie?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Thanks for asking, father. As you know, ever since Lincoln disappeared, I've been spending all my time and resources in an attempt to find him and I may have a way of finding him, hopefully." said Lisa.

"Really?! What is it?!" Lori, who was at home for the weekend, asked. Lisa turns to the computer screen.

"I've figured out a way for my tracker to find my tracking chips on a worldwide level. I was able to link my tracker with satellites all over the planet in order to extend the range." explained Lisa.

"Is that legal?" asked Rita.

"Define 'legal'." Lisa said while smiling nervously. After a minute, she continued her explanation. "Anyway, if Lincoln is still on Earth, and hopefully in one piece, my tracker should be able to locate him."

"Well what are you waiting for? Turn on your tracker so we can find him." said Lynn Jr. Lisa turns to the keyboard in front of the screen that had her tracker hooked up to it.

"Keep your fingers crossed." said Lisa. Everyone does so; some crossed their arms, legs, toes, and even eyes; thinking it would help. Lisa pushes a button on her tracker and a few seconds later, a dot appears on the screen. "Success. I found him." Everyone cheered in response. "Now to zero in on his location." The map zooms in, showing a small island region with multiple ecosystems on it. "It appears Lincoln is in a region that isn't on any known map. But at least we know where he is." After a minute of watching, Lisa saw the blip was moving. "More good news; it shows Lincoln is moving at a fast pace indicating that not only is he still alive, he's on a transport indicating he's in a civilized area."

"That's great! Can you use your teleporter to bring him back?" asked Luna.

"No. It can only teleport stuff to other places. I can't teleport stuff to here from other places." said Lisa, to everyone's disappointments.

"But how has he survived all this time? I don't think he had enough money to possibly survive for that long, let alone if the money he had is any good where he is." said Lori.

"I hope he hasn't had to eat garbage." said Leni.

"Why not? I eat garbage all the time and I'm still okay." said Lana.

"First off, I don't want you eating garbage, sweetie. And second, how can we contact him? He doesn't have his device with him and we don't know if he's able to contact us. I mean I'm 100% certain he would've if he was able to." said Rita.

"Maybe we can send him a care package with Lisa's teleporter. We can send him his device so we can reach him, but also some food and water if he hasn't been eating properly." suggested Clyde.

"Good idea, Clyde. I'll make him a pan of my Lynn-sagna and some Mac-and-Cheese Bites for him." said Lynn Sr as he ran out of the room.

"I'll get him some bottled water if he hasn't been drinking clean water." said Lori.

"I'll get some of our camping stuff if Stinkoln's been living on the streets." said Lynn.

"Bun-Bun." said Lily as she held up Lincoln's stuffed rabbit.

"Good idea, sweetie." said Rita as she grabbed Bun-Bun from Lily's hands.

"I'll get Linky's device." said Leni as she ran to Lincoln's room to get it.

"I'll go find a big enough box to put all that stuff into." said Luan.

"And I'll keep monitoring Lincoln's location while you're all getting the things you mentioned. Twenty minutes later, everyone placed all the items they decided to send into the box Luan brought in and placed it on the teleportation pad. After they placed a label with Lincoln's name on it, they gathered around the teleportation pad's control panel.

"Okay. Lincoln stopped at these coordinates for now, so now would be a good time to send the care package." said Lisa. After she punched in the coordinates close to where Lincoln is, she pushes the activation button; and in a flash, the box is gone.

"Let's wait a few minutes just to be sure it even got there and Lincoln found it." suggested Lori. They agreed and waited five minutes before Rita pulled out her device and called Lincoln's number. Several seconds later, an image appeared on her device that brought tears to her eyes. Everyone looked concerned until they heard Rita's next word.

"Lincoln?!" said Rita with tears in her eyes.

"Mom?!" Lincoln's voice said, much to everyone's joy.

Flashback Ends:

"Oh my goodness! Are you okay?!" said Rita

"I am, Mom. I'm even better, now that I can see and talk to you." said Lincoln. Rita was going to say something else, but everybody was grabbing at Rita's device to see and talk to their son/friend/brother.

"I want to talk to him!" said Luna.

"I'm the oldest, so I should get to talk to him first." said Lori.

"No, I want to talk to him!" said Lana.

"I'm his best friend, so I should get to talk to him!" said Clyde. After a minute of fighting, an airhorn blare out of nowhere stops the fighting. They all turn to see Lisa holding an airhorn in her hand.

"If you would all cease this pointless bickering, I believe I have a solution." said Lisa. A minute later in the living room, Lisa finished hooking Rita's device up to the TV and had it pointing at the couch where everyone gathered. "Lori, if you would turn on the TV please." Lori points the remote at the TV and turns it on. A few seconds later, an image of Lincoln appears on the screen.

"Hi, guys! Man, it's so awesome to see you all!" said Lincoln with tears in his eyes.

"It's great to see you too, bro." said Luna, also with tears in her eyes.

"Lincoln. Where are you?" asked Luan.

"Are you doing okay?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Are you hurt?" asked Lola.

"Before we get started, I have a question of my own. Did you experience any side effects after being teleported? Not that I'm not happy to see you alive and in one piece." said Lisa.

"Well. Aside from loss of consciousness after being teleported, I feel just fine." said Lincoln.

"Splendid. That means it's perfectly safe for people to be teleported with my device." said Lisa. Everyone, including Lincoln, glares at Lisa. "But enough about my device; how are you doing, male sibling?" Just then, Scorbunny hops up on Lincoln's back and looks over his shoulder at the screen. Everyone saw him and were surprised.

"O-M-Gosh! Bun-Bun came to life!" said Leni.

"Don't be stupid. That rabbit doesn't look anything like Lincoln's dumb toy." said Lynn Jr.

"Well, what is it then?" asked Lola. Lincoln looks over at Scorbunny.

"This is Scorbunny. Scorbunny; this is my family, and that boy with the glasses is my best friend, Clyde." said Lincoln. Scorbunny smiles and waves.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." said Scorbunny. All Lincoln's sisters and Clyde's eyes widen in delight.

"O-M-Gosh, he's totes adorbs!" says Leni.

"He's so cute!" says Lola.

"What kind of rabbit is that? I haven't seen one like him before." says Lana.

"Actually, Scorbunny is a Pokemon." said Lincoln, much to everyone's confusion.

"Pokemon? What's a Pokemon?" asked Clyde. Everyone wondered the same thing.

"I have a LOT to tell you all about." said Lincoln. He went on to tell them everything that happened to him after arriving in Galar. Meeting Professor Magnolia and Sonia, learning about Pokemon, meeting Hop and Leon, getting Scorbunny, his battles so far, and his plans in competing in the Gym Challenge. He even had the Rotom Phone fly over the Wild Area so everyone could see all the different kinds of Pokemon that inhabited it. Everyone was astounded by what they heard and just saw.

"Sounds like you've been doing fine while we've been worried sick." said Luan in a cranky voice.

"I'm sorry. Believe me, I tried calling you guys when I first got my Rotom Phone; but I can't reach outside the region." said Lincoln.

"Those Pokemon look so awesome!" said Lana.

"I'm amazed that such creatures existed in our world and we never even knew. I find it even more amazing that one of them can inhabit electronics and manipulate them like it did with your old device." said Lisa.

"I want one!" said Lola.

"Sorry, Lola. But they don't exist in Royal Woods." said Lincoln.

"Then I'm going over there and get one of my own!" said Lola.

"Me, too!" said Lana.

"I want to learn about these Pokemon as they're called, myself." said Lisa.

"I'm going to keep an eye out for Lincoln." said Luna.

"I'm going because I miss Linky." said Leni.

"Me want Wincoln." said Lily.

"He's my best friend, not this Hop guy's. If anyone should be with Lincoln, it should be me." said Clyde. They all argued until an ear-piercing whistle puts a stop to it. They all look to see Rita taking her fingers out of her mouth and putting her hands on her hips.

"I don't want all of you going to some unknown region full of possibly dangerous creatures." said Rita.

"But they can't be that bad, Mom. I mean, Scorbunny seem pretty friendly." said Lana.

"True. Scorbunny does seem nice. But like I said, I don't want all my kids far away from here. Is that understood?" asked Rita.

"Yes, mom." said all the sisters.

"Good." said Rita. She looks back at the screen. "Lincoln. Are you sure you sure you want to do this Gym Challenge thing?"

"Well, it's not like I can really get home from here. Only kind of transport I know they have here are trains and I don't think they can travel over oceans. Plus, it beats just waiting around doing nothing until either of us finds a way to get me home." said Lincoln.

"I guess it's okay. Did you get the other things we sent you?" asked Lynn Sr.

"Yes, Dad. Good thing, too. I've been craving Mac-and-Cheese bites for weeks now." said Lincoln as he pops one into his mouth. He also gives Scorbunny one, which he eats.

"Wow. This is yummy." said Scorbunny.

"Scorbunny says he likes it." said Lincoln.

"Those PokeTranslators as they're called are also fascinating. Perhaps I can look at them when you return to Royal Woods after we find a way to get you back here." said Lisa.

"I don't see why not." said Lincoln.

"Well, we mainly called to see if you're okay. We also plan on calling you every day to make sure you're staying out of trouble." said Rita.

"Okay, Mom. I love you all." said Lincoln.

"We love you too, sweetie." said Rita. With that, Rita hung up.

"At least we know he's okay." said Lucy.

"That's a big relief." said Luan.

"But it's not fair. I want to go on an adventure with Lincoln and see those Pokemon and catch my own." said Lana.

"Remember what I just told you." said Rita.

"Yeah, yeah. You don't want all of us going to that Galar Region." said Lana with a look of disappointment.

"Good. Anyway, your father and I will get started on dinner." said Rita. She and Lynn Sr go into the kitchen to prepare dinner. When they were out of earshot, Lori beckoned everyone else closer to her.

"What's up, Lori?" asked Luna.

"Sibling meeting after dinner. Clyde, you can video chat with us at the meeting if you want." said Lori.

"Thanks." said Clyde. With that, Clyde leaves and heads home.

Authors Note: Clyde will be joining Lincoln in the Galar Region. What Pokemon do you think Clyde should have on his team? We're thinking a Purrloin and Galarian Meowth due to him having two cats. Also, a Milcery because of his love for baking. Maybe a Ghost Pokemon because he's an ARRGH! fan. If you have any other ideas, leave a review. As of today, 9/22/22, there is only 57 days left until Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are released.
