Building Teams
After everyone had breakfast and the dishes were cleaned. Lincoln gave his sisters and Clyde the basics about catching and raising Pokemon. Lincoln still had nine of the pokeballs that Leon gave him. He divided them amongst all of them the best he could. Lana got two, Lucy got two, Luna got one, Leni got one, Clyde got two, and Lincoln kept one for himself.
"How are we going to catch Pokemon without any of our own to battle them with?" asked Lana. Lincoln thought for a second and came up with something.
"I can battle the Pokemon for you. Once they're tired enough, you can catch them." said Lincoln.
"Really? Thanks, Lincoln." said Lana.
"Do you know where we can get more pokeballs?" asked Clyde.
"There might be a store in Motostoke that sells them, but I don't have a lot of money left. We should definitely look into finding ways to earn some." said Lincoln.
"We can figure that out later. Let's just catch some Pokemon." said Lana.
"You got it." said Lincoln. Everyone got up and started exploring the Wild Area. Lincoln looks at the map. "According to this map, we're in the part of the Wild Area known as the Rolling Fields." Lincoln looks up at the sky and sees the sky completely overcast.
"What are you looking at, bro?" asked Luna.
"From what I learned while at the Pokemon Research Lab in Wedgehurst, certain Pokemon only come out in certain weather conditions." said Lincoln.
"You sure know your stuff, Lincoln." said Clyde.
"I picked up a lot of tips during this last month. You'll pick up a few things too in time." said Lincoln. Just then, Lincoln's Rotom Phone rang. He looks at the Caller I.D and saw his mom's name on it. "It's Mom." said Lincoln. His sisters looked at each other with worry. Lincoln answers the video chat and sees his mom with an upset look on her face.
"Hello, Lincoln." said Rita.
"Hi, Mom. I'm pretty sure I know why you're calling and yes; Leni, Luna, Lucy, and Lana are here." said Lincoln. All of a sudden, Clyde's dads, Howard and Harold popped up from behind Rita with worried expressions on their faces.
"Lincoln? Is our Clyde there with you?" asked Harold.
"Yes he is." said Lincoln as he pointed the phone towards his sisters and Clyde.
"Hi, Mom." said Lana.
"Hi, Dads." said Clyde.
"Clyde, sweetie. Are you okay?" asked Howard.
"I'm fine, Dad." said Clyde.
"You can't imagine how very disappointed I am in you girls for going to that Galar Region place. And I know that we didn't exactly tell you not to go there like Lori just finished explaining to us; but you should've known what we meant." said Rita.
"We're sorry, Mom. But we really missed Lincoln." said Leni.
"And the Pokemon looked so cool." said Lana.
"I know, sweetie. But it doesn't excuse the fact that you went there without our permission." said Rita.
"And Clyde, your father and I are very upset that you left without telling us yourself." said Harold.
"Sorry, dads. But I really missed Lincoln and I felt that I should be here to have his back. I didn't mean to worry you both." said Clyde.
"Well at least we know you're okay." said Howard.
"So what now?" asked Clyde.
"Not much we can do until we can figure out how to get you and the Loud children back home. But I guess until then we can use Lisa's Teleportation Pad to send you stuff you might need." said Howard.
"And that goes double for you girls." said Rita. "Lincoln. I want you, Luna, and Leni to keep an eye on your younger sisters while you're there. And we'll send you stuff that you might need as well."
"Thanks, Mom." said Lincoln. "Is Dad there?"
"He passed out when he found out that your sisters went to the Galar Region. The rest of your sisters are still trying to wake him up. When he comes to, we'll let him know our plans." said Rita.
"Good idea. Could you tell them that I love them and I hope to see them soon?" asked Lincoln.
"Sure thing, sweetie. Talk to you all later." said Rita.
"Bye, Mom." said the Louds
"Bye, Dads." said Clyde.
"Bye, Clyde." said the McBride dads. They hung up after that. Lincoln turned to the others.
"Well at least we don't have to worry about them finding out, since they already know." said Luna.
"C'mon, I wanna catch a Pokemon." said Lana with excitement.
"Okay, Lana. Let's get started." said Lincoln. They walked for a little bit and it didn't take long for them to find their first one. It was a dark gray, rabbit-like Pokemon with brown-tipped ears and toes and a tuft of brown fur around its neck. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bunnelby, the Digging Pokemon. It excels at digging holes. Using its' ears, it can dig a nest 33 feet deep in one night." said the pokedex. The Loud sisters and Clyde stare at the Rotom Phone.
"That is so cool that you can just point that at a Pokemon and it can tell you what it is." said Clyde.
"And that Bunnelby sounds like my kind of Pokemon; one that doesn't mind getting dirty." said Lana as she pulls out a pokeball and enlarges it.
"So you want to capture it?" asked Lincoln.
"You bet, Lincoln." said Lana.
"Scorbunny, let's get ready." said Lincoln. Scorbunny hops in front of the group and stands ready.
"Let's do this!" said Scorbunny. The Bunnelby sees Scorbunny and turns towards him, ready to battle.
"Okay, Scorbunny. Use Quick Attack." said Lincoln. Quicker than the group can follow, Scorbunny moves towards Bunnelby and slams into it.
"OOF!" said Bunnelby.
"Whoa. Little dude's fast." said Luna. Bunnelby shakes his head to get itself back to its senses. It then stares at Scorbunny and starts gathering some mud in its ears. It then throws it at Scorbunny's face.
"AUGH!" said Scorbunny.
"Oh, man. That was Mud-Slap." said Lincoln.
"What's that?" asked Lana.
"Mud-Slap is a ground-type attack that not only damages the opposing Pokemon, it lowers its' accuracy. Worse is that ground-type moves are very effective against fire-type Pokemon like Scorbunny." explained Lincoln.
"So it also uses mud to attack opponents? Now I really wanna capture it." said Lana.
"Okay. Scorbunny, use Ember." said Lincoln. Scorbunny released an Ember attack and even though his accuracy was lowered, he still hit the Bunnelby. Clyde and Lincoln's sisters were surprised to see Scorbunny breathe out fire. Seeing that Bunnelby was looking tired, Lincoln quickly turns to Lana.
"Lana, NOW!" said Lincoln. Lana quickly throws her pokeball at Bunnelby, hitting it and sucking it in. The ball wiggles a few times then clicks. Lana runs over to the pokeball and picks it up.
"All right! My first Pokemon." said Lana. Scorbunny hops over to Lincoln and looks up at him. Lincoln bends down and wipes the mud off his face.
"You okay, Scorbunny?" asked Lincoln.
"No worries. At least your sister caught a Pokemon." said Scorbunny.
"Here's some Oran Berries." said Lincoln. Scorbunny eats them, restoring his health. Lincoln hands Lana a couple Oran Berries. "You can give these to your new Bunnelby to heal him."
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Lana. She holds out the pokeball and releases Bunnelby. Bunnelby looks around in surprise. Lincoln looks at the pokedex entry.
"This says that your Bunnelby is a boy; he knows Mud-Slap, Leer, Tackle, Laser Focus, and Quick Attack. Oh, and it looks like he has the Pickup ability." said Lincoln.
"What's that?" asked Lana.
"After he battles, there's a chance he could pick up an item. That can come in handy for us down the road." said Lincoln.
"Good." said Lana. She walks over to Bunnelby and hands him the Oran Berries that Lincoln gave her. "Sorry we had to be rough with you, but I really wanted to catch you. Can you and I be friends?" asked Lana. Bunnelby smiles and nods. Lana smiles and hugs him.
"So what now?" asked Clyde.
"Let's look around some more. You should all get Pokemon in case that some just decide to attack. Some can be territorial." said Lincoln, making them nervous.
"Then I should try finding one for myself." said Clyde. As they walked, they noticed something moving in the bushes. Two small humanoid Pokemon with mostly white bodies, and green domes covering the top half of their heads with red horns coming out of them come walking out of the bushes.
"Are those Pokemon?" asked Luna. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at one of them.
"Ralts, the Feeling Pokemon. It is highly attuned to the emotions of people and Pokemon. It hides if it senses hostility." said the pokedex. Leni stares at the Raltses.
"They are so cute!" said Leni.
"They sure are!" says Clyde. The two Raltses looked over at Leni and Clyde and close their eyes in concentration. After a few seconds, they open their eyes and walk over to Leni and Clyde.
"What do you think they want?" asked Leni. Her question was answered when she heard their stomachs growl. "Oh, they're hungry." Leni says with sympathy in her voice.
"Lincoln. Do we still have that leftover curry from breakfast this morning?" asked Clyde. Lincoln pulls out a couple tupperware containers that had the toast curry they made earlier. Leni and Clyde each grab one and walk over to the two Raltses. They then open the containers and set them down in front of the Ralts. They both sniff at the curry and soon started to eat it. A few seconds later, they finished eating and licked their lips with satisfied looks on their faces.
"Poor things must not have had much to eat in a while." said Leni.
"Well, berries are very high up in those trees. Maybe they couldn't reach them." said Lincoln. Leni and Clyde bent down and they each petted a Ralts on the head. The two Ralts looked at Leni and Clyde with tears in their eyes.
"Oh, Lincoln. I want to capture it, but I don't want to hurt it." said Leni.
"Me, too." said Clyde.
"Well you don't have to battle it. Battling just makes Pokemon a bit easier to catch. My Magikarp allowed herself to be captured because she wanted to come with me. Maybe those Ralts would like to come along with you." said Lincoln. Leni and Clyde look back down at the Ralts.
"Would you like to come with us?" asked Leni. The two Raltses suddenly ran to Leni and Clyde and hugged them.
"Yes we would." said one of the Ralts.
"You two seem so nice." said the other one.
"They both just said they'd love to." said Lincoln.
"Maybe we should get PokeTranslators for ourselves." said Lana.
"If we're ever in Wedgehurst, we can stop by Professor Magnolia's place and see if she can make you all some." said Lincoln.
"That would be so cool if we can all understand what Pokemon are saying." said Clyde. Leni and Clyde each pull out a pokeball, enlarge them, and presses them against the Raltses, sucking them in, and after a few seconds, capturing them.
"Yay. I got my first Pokemon." said Leni.
"Me, too." said Clyde. Lincoln looks at the pokedex.
"Okay. Leni's Ralts is a girl, and Clyde's Ralts is a boy. They both know Growl, Double Team, Disarming Voice, Confusion, and Hypnosis. Leni's Ralts has the Synchronize ability which means if she gets a status condition from an opposing Pokemon, that Pokemon will become afflicted with the same one. Clyde's Ralts has the Trace ability which allows him to copy an opposing Pokemon's ability." said Lincoln.
"Cool." said Clyde.
"Okay, let's keep exploring." said Lincoln. They walked around the Rolling Fields and took the time to grab berries from the many berry trees they saw in the area. They also got all their Pokemon some experience battling other Pokemon, including Skwovets that came out of the berry trees when they tried getting berries out of them. During the training, Lincoln's Magikarp learned Tackle, Lana's Bunnelby learned Mud Shot which Lana liked because it involved Bunnelby throwing a big ball of mud at his opponent. Also during Bunnelby's battles, he picked up some items thanks to his Pickup Ability; such as a few potions which they thought would really come in handy; a Poke Doll, and even a Big Mushroom. Also, Leni and Clyde's Ralts both learned Draining Kiss. Lincoln also took the time to swap his Skwovet and Wooloo for Blipbug and Yamper. While he was training them, Yamper, who already knew Tackle, Tail Whip, and Nuzzle, learned Bite. Also, while training Blipbug, Lincoln's sisters and Clyde saw a new Pokemon-related thing; Blipbug evolved into Dottler.
"Lincoln. What happened to Blipbug?" asked Lana.
"She evolved." said Lincoln.
"What's that mean?" asked Leni.
"You see, some Pokemon when they become strong enough change into entirely new Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"What's Blipbug now?" asked Lana. Lincoln pulls out his pokedex and points it at Dottler.
"Dottler, the Radome Pokemon, and the evolved form of Blipbug. As it grows inside its shell, it uses its psychic abilities to monitor the outside world and prepares for evolution." said the pokedex.
"Could our Pokemon evolve, too?" asked Clyde.
"Some Pokemon evolve when they become strong enough; but some Pokemon require certain items or conditions in order to evolve." said Lincoln.
"That's so awesome!" said Lana.
"Lincoln?" says Lucy out of nowhere, scaring everybody, including Scorbunny.
"How does she pop out of nowhere like that?" asked Scorbunny.
"No idea. She's been doing that for years." said Lincoln.
"Aren't you used to it?" asked Scorbunny.
"You think we would be after a few years, but surprisingly we're not." said Lincoln. He then looks towards Lucy. "What can I do for you, Lucy?" asked Lincoln.
"I was wondering; when you had your Rotom Phone fly over the Wild Area yesterday during our video chat, I noticed a tower that had some ghostly-looking Pokemon surrounding it." said Lucy.
"Those must've been ghost-type Pokemon." said Lincoln.
"Ghost-types?" said Lucy with interest in her voice.
"Yeah. Ghost-type Pokemon are Pokemon with a strong connection to the afterlife." said Lincoln. They all then saw something they don't recall ever seeing before. A joyful smile on Lucy's face.
"Can we go there and check them out?! I would like to have one of those ghost Pokemon for my team!" said Lucy with a tone of excitement they never heard from her before, much to Lincoln's surprise.
"Sure. Let me check my map to see where it is." said Lincoln as he pulls out his Rotom Phone and brings up the map. "I think this is the spot you're talking about, Lucy. It's called the Watchtower Ruins. I guess it wouldn't be a surprise to see ghosts hanging around ruined buildings. We'll need to head through the Dappled Grove in order to reach it. It's just to the northwest of here." said Lincoln. They continued to walk through the Rolling Fields area. As they neared the border between between the Rolling Fields and Dappled Grove, Luna pulled out her guitar and started playing some travelling music. As she did, she caught the attention of a Pokemon that looked like a dark blue rock with a yellow hexagon shaped eye, a small brown rock on top of her, and two small brown rock-like feet walking over to her. As Luna looked at the new Pokemon, she noticed it looked liked she was dancing to her music.
"This little dude looks like it's jamming to my tunes, bro. What Pokemon is it?" asked Luna. Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and points it at the new Pokemon.
"Roggenrola, the Mantle Pokemon. When it detects a noise, it starts to move. The energy core inside it makes this Pokemon slightly warm to the touch." said the pokedex.
"Roggenrola? I like how it sounds like 'rock n' roller'. And I like how it moves when it hears sounds like it's jamming to them." said Luna.
"You wanna catch it?" asked Lincoln.
"I don't see why not. It seems like a rockin' Pokemon." said Luna.
"Funny considering that the pokedex says it's a rock-type Pokemon. And I meant rock as in stone, not rock music." said Lincoln.
"No big deal. I still wouldn't mind having it with us." said Luna. Lana steps forward.
"Want me to battle it?" asked Lana.
"Let me see if it wants to come along with us first, little dudette." said Luna. She kneels down to it so she's looking it in its eye. "You wanna come along with us, little dude?" asked Luna. Roggenrola jumps up and down, but then jumps back and gets into a battle stance. "Looks like Roggenrola here wants to rumble first." Lana steps in front of Luna.
"I got this." said Lana. She throws her pokeball, releasing her Bunnelby. "Okay, Bunnelby. Use Mud Shot." Bunnelby raises his ears up and pulls in some mud and forms it into a medium-sized ball of mud. He then throws it at Roggenrola, hitting it and doing super-effective damage. They saw that Roggenrola was still standing, but struggling to get up.
"Luna, NOW!" said Lincoln. Luna pulls out her pokeball and throws it at Roggenrola, hitting it, sucking it in, and successfully capturing it. Luna runs over to the pokeball and picks it up.
"Oh, yeah. I got myself a Roggenrola." said Luna. She lets Roggenrola out of its' pokeball and Lincoln hands Luna a couple Oran Berries to heal it with. After Luna gives them to Roggenrola and restores its' health. Lincoln looks at the pokedex.
"This says that your Roggenrola is a girl, she knows Tackle, Harden, and Stealth Rock. She has the Sturdy ability which keeps her from being knocked out in one hit no matter how powerful and effective of an attack hits her." said Lincoln.
"Sounds like a tough little dudette." said Luna. She pulls out her guitar and starts playing a bit more, causing Roggenrola to dance a bit more. "You and I are gonna get along just fine."
"Let's keep going." said Lincoln. They decided to let Luna train her Roggenrola for a while to help her become stronger. During the training, Roggenrola learned Mud-Slap. After that, they continued on their way. They soon entered the Dappled Grove and suddenly, the weather changes from overcast to sunny.
"Looks like the weather is clearing up." said Lana.
"Sigh. I don't like the sun." said Lucy.
"At least this area has plenty of trees for shade." said Lincoln. They continued walking through the Dappled Grove and grabbed some berries from the trees there also as they walked by them. Sometimes when they did that, they get attacked by Skwovets again; but their Pokemon were able to fight them off. They also found some apples around the trees there that they could use to make curry with. They eventually made it to the bottom of the hill leading up to the Watchtower Ruins. As they stepped onto it, the sky immediately became overcast again.
"Whoa. Where did these clouds come from?" asked Clyde. Lincoln thought for a second.
"Let me try something." said Lincoln. He steps back into the Dappled Grove and it suddenly became sunny again. He steps back into the Watchtower Ruins area and it became overcast. "I'm guessing each area of the Wild Area has it's own weather condition. I recall that after we set foot in the Dappled Grove after exiting the Rolling Hills, it went from overcast to sunny."
"That's so weird." said Lana.
"Lisa would have a field day with this place." said Luna.
"Hey, guys. What's with Lucy?" asked Leni. They look over at Lucy who was staring at several kinds of ghost-type Pokemon with a huge smile on her face. She grabs Lincoln's wrist and pulls him next to her.
"Lincoln! Point your pokedex at those! I want to know about them!" said Lucy with excitement in her voice.
"Okay." said Lincoln with a creeped-out tone of voice. He pulls out his pokedex and points at a gray ghostly-looking Pokemon that looks like its wearing a skull mask with one eye.
"Duskull, the Requiem Pokemon. Making itself invisible, it silently sneaks up to prey. It has the ability to slip through walls." said the pokedex. Lincoln then points the pokedex towards a Pokemon that looks like a black ball with eyes and mouth surrounding by a purple mist. "Gastly, the Gas Pokemon. Born from gases, anyone would faint if engulfed by its gaseous body, which contains poison." Lincoln then points the pokedex at a purple balloon-shaped Pokemon with a cloud-like tuft on top of it, a yellow x-shaped mouth, and two stringy arms with yellow heart-shaped hands dangling from its sides. "Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. The gathering of many souls gave rise to this Pokemon. During humid seasons, they seem to appear in abundance." Lincoln looked at Lucy and saw she looked like she was trembling with excitement.
"Lincoln! Battle those Pokemon so I can catch them!" said Lucy with excitement.
"Okay. Just don't get overexcited. Wow, I never though I'd be telling you to do that." said Lincoln. He calls Scorbunny over to them. "Okay, I know that normal-type and fighting-type moves have no effect on ghost-type Pokemon, so Quick Attack and Double Kick won't work on these guys, so I'll just stick with Ember. Remember that you only have two pokeballs on you, so you can only capture two of these guys for now. Which ones would you like?" Lucy looks at them and thinks.
"I'll capture the Gastly and Duskull for now." said Lucy.
"Okay. Scorbunny, use Ember on Duskull." said Lincoln. Scorbunny uses Ember on Duskull. Duskull looks towards Scorbunny and its eye glows red. All of a sudden, a red aura surrounds Scorbunny, but it doesn't look like it did anything. "What did it do?" asked Lincoln.
"I don't know." said Scorbunny.
"Use Ember again." said Lincoln. Scorbunny opens his mouth and breathes out, but nothing comes out.
"What's wrong, Lincoln? Why isn't Ember working." said Lucy. Lincoln's eyes widen in realization.
"Oh no. Duskull must've used Disable." said Lincoln.
"What's that?" asked Lucy.
"Disable is a move that will prevent the last move that was used on it from working. Ember won't work for a while." said Lincoln.
"So what now?" asked Lucy. All of a sudden, a Gastly and the Duskull that Scorbunny used Ember on flew at Lincoln and Lucy. Lincoln and Scorbunny stood in front of Lucy to try and protect her.
"Ralts, use Confusion." said Leni and Clyde. Their Raltses jump in front of the group and their eyes their eyes glow blue. Duskull and Gastly were surrounded by a blue aura and were sent flying to the ground. They looked weakened. Gastly looked most affected, mainly because it was part poison-type which made it vulnerable to psychic-type attacks like Confusion.
"Lucy, now's your chance!" said Lincoln. Lucy pulled out both of her pokeballs and throws them at the two ghost Pokemon and hits both of them. They both get sucked into them and are soon captured. Lucy runs over and picks them up.
"I have two ghost Pokemon." Lucy says with a smile.
"Good work, Lucy. And thanks, Clyde and Leni." said Lincoln.
"No problem, buddy. We got your backs." said Clyde.
"Totes." said Leni. Scorbunny walks up to them with a disappointed look on his face.
"Sorry I couldn't stop them, Lincoln." said Lincoln.
"Don't worry. It's not your fault. At least you tried to protect us." said Lincoln. "Maybe we should work on teaching you some more fire-type moves in case something like that happens again." said Lincoln. Scorbunny looks at Lincoln with a smile.
"Thanks, Lincoln." said Scorbunny. Lincoln looks at the pokedex.
"Lucy, this says that your new Duskull is a boy, and he knows Astonish, Leer, Disable, and Shadow Sneak. This also says that your new Gastly is a girl and she knows Lick, Confuse Ray, Hypnosis, Mean Look, and Payback. Both your new Pokemon have the Levitate ability which means they're not only immune to normal and fighting-type moves, they're also immune to ground-type moves also." said Lincoln.
"Thanks, Lincoln." says Lucy now using her usual tone of voice.
"So what now?" asked Clyde.
"Let's explore around the tower. We might find something." said Lincoln. As they explored, Leni finds an empty pokeball.
"Looks like someone dropped this." said Leni.
"I'm guessing who it belonged to got scared by the ghost Pokemon and dropped it. And since I doubt who did will be coming back here, you might as well keep it.
"Okay." says Leni. As they walked through the grass, something jumps out into Leni's arms.
"What's that?" asked Lana. They look to see a pinkish-purple Pokemon with a short white skirt around its waist and four big leaves and a stem on its head. Lincoln points the Rotom Phone at it.
"Bounsweet, the Fruit Pokemon. Its body gives off a sweet, fruity scent that is extremely appetizing to bird Pokemon." said the pokedex. The Bounsweet looks cheerful as it nuzzles Leni, much to Leni's delight.
"It's totes adorbs. I wanna capture this cutie." said Leni.
"Then use the pokeball you just found. I think that Bounsweet likes you and wants to be with you." said Lincoln.
"Okay." says Leni. She pulls out the pokeball she just found, enlarges it and gently taps Bounsweet's head, sucking it in and capturing it. "Yay. I caught Bounsweet." Lincoln looks at the pokedex.
"This says that it's a girl and she knows Splash, Play Nice, Rapid Spin, and Razor Leaf. She has the Leaf Guard ability which means she can't get a status condition when it's extremely sunny out." said Lincoln. They all leave the Watchtower Ruins and enter the Lake Axwell area. As they explored, Clyde heard what he thought was a cat. When he investigated, he saw it was a cat, but it wasn't like any cat he's ever seen before. Lincoln points the Rotom Phone at it.
"Purrloin, the Devious Pokemon. It steals things from people just to amuse itself with their frustration. A rivalry exists between this Pokemon and Nickit." said the pokedex.
"Although it doesn't sound nice. I wouldn't mind having it on my team. It reminds me of Nepurrtiti back home." said Clyde.
"Then capture it, Clyde." said Lucy.
"Okay, I will." said Clyde. He releases Ralts from his pokeball and he stands ready to battle. "Okay, Ralts. Use Confusion." Ralts' eyes glow blue and an aura of blue energy appears around Purrloin, but it doesn't look like anything happened. "What's going on?" Clyde asked.
"Purrloin must be a dark-type Pokemon. They're immune to psychic-type attacks like Confusion." said Lincoln. Purrloin lunged at Ralts and strikes him with a barrage of slashes.
"That's Fury Swipes." said Lincoln.
"What do I do, Lincoln." said Clyde.
"I think dark-types are vulnerable to fairy-type moves. Try using either Disarming Voice or Draining Kiss." said Lincoln.
"Okay. Ralts, use Draining Kiss." said Clyde. Ralts jumps at Purrloin and kisses its forehead, doing super-effective damage. Also, the scratch marks left by Purrloin's Fury Swipes looked like they were healing. "What's going on? Why are Ralts' wounds healing? Not that I'm complaining."
"Draining Kiss drains stamina from the opposing Pokemon and uses it to heal the Pokemon that used that attack." said Lincoln.
"Wow. That can come in handy." said Clyde. They look towards the Purrloin and saw it was struggling to stand up. Clyde grabs his last pokeball and throws it at Purrloin, sucking it in and capturing it. "Yes. I got her." Clyde runs over and picks up the pokeball. Lincoln looks at the pokedex.
"This says your new Purrloin is a girl. She knows Scratch, Growl, Sand Attack, Fake Out, and Fury Swipes as you saw a minute ago. She has the Limber ability which makes her immune to the Paralysis status effect." said Lincoln.
"So what do we do now, Lincoln?" asked Lana. Lincoln looked around and saw they were close to the entrance to Motostoke City.
"We're pretty close to Motostoke City. Let's head inside and go to the Pokemon Center and get our Pokemon healed." said Lincoln.
"Good idea. Let's go, dudes." said Luna. They all go to the entrance and walk up the long flight of stairs and enter Motostoke City.
