Goodbye, Isle of Armor

As the Loud siblings, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne had lunch to celebrate Clyde passing his final test, Master Mustard decides to talk to them.

"So, what are your plans now, kids?" asked Master Mustard.

"Maybe just hang out for now before we head back to Motostoke." said Lincoln.

"Motostoke?" replied Ronnie Anne.

"It's a city in the Galar Region's mainland." explained Lincoln.

"Is that where Professor Magnolia lives?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"No, she lives in a house outside Wedgehurst." said Lincoln.

"Could we stop there first and see if she has any of those PokeTranslator things I can have?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"Sure. We can stop there quick before heading to Motostoke." said Lincoln.

"Thanks, Linc." said Ronnie Anne. Thinking back to a few days ago, Leni pulls out the seed she found in the Forest of Focus out of her backpack.

"Excuse me, Master Mustard?" said Leni.

"Yes, young lady?" replied Master Mustard.

"I found this in the Forest of Focus three days ago." said Leni as she holds out the seed. "Do you know what kind of seed this is?"

"That's a Miracle Seed." said Master Mustard.

"Miracle Seed?" replied Leni.

"If a Pokemon is holding it, the power of any grass moves it may know become stronger." explained Master Mustard. Thinking for a few seconds, Leni lets her Steenee out of her pokeball, then holds the Miracle Seed to her.

"Here you go, Steenee." said Leni. "This will make your grass moves stronger." Steenee smiles as she accepts the Miracle Seed. After that, some of the other kids asked Master Mustard questions about some items they found. For example, the pendant with the blue, waterdrop-shaped jewel on it that Lola found behind the Tower of Waters and gave to Brionne is a Mystic Water, which increases the power of any water type moves the Pokemon holding it may have. Lola definitely believes that Brionne would make good use of it.

The metal jar that Lincoln found on Challenge Road was a Metal Coat, which not only increases the power of steel type moves that the Pokemon holding it may have, it will also allow certain Pokemon to evolve when they're traded while holding it, such as Onix, or Scyther. Lincoln remembers the Scyther he caught days ago and decides to try the trade evolution thing later.

Lincoln asked if there are other Pokemon that can evolve when traded. Master Mustard told them about all the Pokemon that can evolve when traded. Lucy's interest was caught when he mentions that Phantump and Haunter can evolve if traded. Luna was interested in the fact that her Boldore can evolve when traded as well.

The four-pointed, red, star-shaped rock that Lucy found in the Brawler's Cave was a Star Piece which can be sold for 6,000 pokedollars, which surprised everyone.

"That sounds like a decent amount of money." said Lola.

"Remind me to sell this next time we're at a Pokemon Center." said Lucy.

"What's a Pokemon Center?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"A medical facility which specializes in treating Pokemon." explained Lincoln. "Pokemon Centers also have stores in them that sell stuff to trainers."

"Oh. Thanks, Linc." said Ronnie Anne.

The yellow stone that had fire in it that Lincoln found in the Potbottom Desert was a Fire Stone, which can be used to help certain Pokemon evolve. Master Mustard told them which Pokemon need a Fire Stone to evolve, and Leni perked up when she heard that her Vulpix can evolve with one.

"Linky?" said Leni. "Can I have that Fire Stone?"

"I don't see why not." said Lincoln as she hands the Fire Stone to Leni.

"Thanks, Linky." said Leni. Once all questions regarding the found items were answered, everyone finishes their lunch. Clyde looks at the pot on the kitchen stove and remembers the Max Soup from a few days ago. He looks at the list of Pokemon that have the potential to Gigantamax and notices Toxtricity on it.

"Hey, Luna." said Clyde.

"Yeah, little dude?" replied Luna.

"This list says that your Toxtricity can Gigantamax." said Clyde.

"You have a Toxtricity?" asked Master Mustard.

"You bet, dude." said Luna. "He evolved from my little Toxel yesterday."

"Well if you want to give him the ability to Gigantamax, he'll need to drink some Max Soup." said Master Mustard.

"I just need three Max Mushrooms in order to make enough soup to do so." said Ms. Honey. Clyde remembers the Max Mushrooms he still had after completing his second trial and pulls them out of his backpack.

"You can use these, Ms. Honey." said Clyde.

"That's right. You still have the ones you found during your second trial, Clyde." said Master Mustard.

"You okay with letting me use them, Clyde?" asked Luna.

"Sure." said Clyde. "My Ivysaur already has the potential to Gigantamax once he's fully evolved."

"Thanks, little dude." said Luna. Ms. Honey takes the Max Mushrooms and makes some Max Soup. Once it was ready, Luna lets her Toxtricitiy out of his pokeball, and has him eat it. A surge of energy flows out of Toxtricity for a while before it dies down.

"I wonder what Toxtricity's Gigantamax form is like?" asked Lincoln.

"Maybe next time I'm in a Pokemon Den we can find out." said Luna.

"Speaking of Pokemon Dens, I want to check one out so I can try my new Dynamax Band." said Ronnie Anne.

"Okay." said Lincoln.

"Maybe we can all go do some Dynamax Battles so we can at get some stuff we can sell for travel funds." said Clyde.

"That sounds like a good idea." said Lincoln.

"And I saw on the list that my Urushifu has the potential to Gigantamax." said Clyde. "Maybe while we're looking for Pokemon Dens, we can try finding some Max Mushrooms to make more Max Soup with."

"That sounds like a good idea." said Lincoln.

"And I think I'll train my Silicobra for a while." said Lana as she takes out her Rotom Phone and uses it to swap her Diggersby for her Silicobra. "It says on the list that her evolved form can also Gigantamax."

"Okay, Lana." said Lincoln. Everyone then exits the Master Dojo. As soon as they do, Lincoln's Rotom Phone starts to ring. He looks at it and he sees his mom's name on the Caller ID. He turns on video chat and sees the rest of his family, Clyde's dads, Bobby, and to his surprise, Ronnie Anne's mother, Maria; on and around the Loud family's couch.

"Hi, Lincoln." said Rita.

"Hey, Mom." said Lincoln, making everyone else gather behind him. Ronnie Anne looked nervous when she saw her mother, staring at her with an upset look on her face.

"Hello, Ronalda." said Maria, making Ronnie Anne gulp.

"Hey, Mom." said Ronnie Anne.

"I still can't believe you would just send yourself to an unknown land without telling me about it first." said Maria.

"I know, Mom; and I'm sorry." said Ronnie Anne. "It's just that I really missed Lincoln, and those Pokemon things looked so cool." Maria lets out a sigh.

"I know that you missed your little boyfriend..." Maria started to say, making Ronnie Anne blush.

"He's not my boyfriend!" said Ronnie Anne, making Lincoln blush, and the Loud sisters and Clyde giggle.

"Anyway, I want you to stick with the Louds and Clyde and try not to get in over your head while your there." said Maria.

"I promise, Mom." said Ronnie Anne.

"Hey, Nie-Nie." said Bobby. "Did you catch any new Pokemon?"

"No, but two of mine evolved." said Ronnie Anne.

"Evolved?" replied Bobby. Ronnie Anne explained how Pokemon change when under certain conditions. She even let Wartortle and Luxio out of their pokeballs to show him. "That is so cool."

"I know." replied Ronnie Anne.

"So Clyde; how did Kubfu do in his test?" asked Howard McBride. Clyde then takes out his Urushifu's pokeball and releases him from it. Everyone back in Royal Woods was stunned when they see how much Kubfu has changed.

"That's Kubfu?!" asked Lynn as she looks at Urushifu with awe.

"Yep. He's an Urushifu now." said Clyde.

"Man, he looks tough. Might even make a good sparring partner." said Lynn. After that, everyone talks for a few minutes before ending the call.

"Ready to do some Dynamax Battles?" Lincoln asked everyone.

"Yeah!" everyone else cheered.

"And don't forget to look for Max Mushrooms also." said Clyde.

"You got it." said Luna. They all split up while Lincoln and Ronnie Anne stayed together. Lincoln looks around and sees a Dynamax Den with a pillar of light coming out of it nearby.

"Hey, Ronnie Anne, there's an active den over there." said Lincoln, pointing at the den.

"Let's go then." said Ronnie Anne. She and Lincoln run over to the den. Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to absorb the watts of the den. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne then climb into the den. Once inside, they looked around to see a giant Mienfoo looking down at them.

"A Mienfoo." said Lincoln. Ronnie Anne looks at her Dynamax Band on her wrist.

"So how does this thing work?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"First you bring out one of your Pokemon, then return that Pokemon to its pokeball." said Lincoln. Ronnie Anne pulls a pokeball out of her pocket.

"Let's go, Wartortle!" said Ronnie Anne, throwing Wartortle's pokeball and releasing her. She then returns Wartortle to her pokeball and streaks of energy comes out of her Dynamax Band onto the pokeball, making it bigger. She then throws the pokeball and releases her Wartortle again, only it was now Dynamaxed. "This is so cool."

"Okay. Now a Dynamaxed Pokemon can do Dynamax moves depending on the types of attacks the Pokemon knows." said Lincoln. "For example, since Wartortle knows a couple water type moves, it should be able to do Max Geyser."

"You mean that move your Gyarados used in that Dynamax Den back at Potbottom Desert?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"Yeah." replied Lincoln.

"All right, Wartortle, use Max Geyser!" said Ronnie Anne. Wartortle opens her mouth and releases a blast of water and it hits Mienfoo. It suddenly begins to rain in the den. "Where did this rain come from?"

"A secondary effect of Max Geyser is that it makes it rain." replied Lincoln. "But on the plus side, now Wartortle's water type move become stronger because it's raining."

"Wow, cool." said Ronnie Anne, pulling up her hood over her head. Mienfoo becomes surrounded by energy and a fist made out of energy comes down from the sky and hits Wartortle.

"That looks like Max Knuckle." said Lincoln. Mienfoo suddenly begins bulking up. "Max Knuckle's secondary effect is that it increases the attack of the Pokemon that uses it."

"Then I better end this battle fast." said Ronnie Anne. "Wartortle, Max Geyser one more time!" Wartortle releases another Max Geyser, and it hits Mienfoo, doing more damage than the first one due to the rain powering it up. The energy around Mienfoo explodes and it freezes.

"Ronnie Anne, catch it." said Lincoln. Ronnie Anne takes out an empty pokebal and her Dynamax Band makes it bigger. She throws the pokeball towards Mienfoo. It stops several feet from it and opens up. Mienfoo gets sucked into the pokeball and it crashes onto the ground. After it moved around a few times, it shrinks to its regular size and clicks, indicating Mienfoo's capture.

"Yeah! I caught a Mienfoo." said Ronnie Anne. She walks over to Mienfoo's pokeball and picks it up.

"Good work, Ronnie Anne." said Lincoln. They soon exited the den. Lincoln sees a couple of bones lying near the den.

"Why did we get bones?" asked Ronnie Anne. Lincoln recognized them from when Lucy found some similar ones a few days ago.

"Those are Rare Bones." said Lincoln. "Lucy found one a while back, and sold it for 5,000 pokedollars!"

"Whoa!" replied Ronnie Anne. "That sounds like a lot of money for just a bone."

"Yeah." said Lincoln. Ronnie Anne picks up the Rare Bones and puts them in her backpack. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone to look up Mienfoo's information. "Okay. Your Mienfoo is a fighting type, it's a girl, she knows Pound, Detect, Fake Out, Reversal, and Fury Swipes. She has the Regenerator ability, which restores some of her stamina when she switches out of battle."

"That was awesome." said Ronnie Anne.

"I know." said Lincoln. They then continue on their way.

Meanwhile with the Loud sisters, they were in another Pokemon Den located in the Soothing Wetlands, staring down a blue and orange, fishlike Pokemon, that has yellow, sharp-looking, ridges on its head. Luna takes out her Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.

"Carvanha, the Savage Pokemon. These Pokémon have sharp fangs and powerful jaws. Sailors avoid Carvanha dens at all costs." said the Rotom Phone.

"This Pokemon looks dangerous." said Luna.

"What type of Pokemon is it?" asked Lana. Luna takes a quick look at her pokedex.

"This says it's part water, and part dark type." said Luna.

"If it's part water, then you should try using your Toxtricity." said Lana.

"That way we can see what his Gigantamax Form is like." said Lucy.

"Good idea." said Luna. She releases her Toxtricity from his pokeball, then puts him back in. She uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge her pokeball, then throws it, releasing her Toxtricity. Everyone was surprised by Toxtricity's changes. He was a darker shade of purple, on his back were blue and yellow protrusions made of electricity, his eyes now had yellow pupils, he was standing on all fours, and on it had a tail that looked like a transmission tower, along with two protrusions that looked like conductor coils.

"Wow!" said Lana.

"Wicked." said Lucy. Luna then looks at her Rotom Phone for information of Toxtricity's Gigantamax Form and sees that he knew a move called G-Max Stun Shock.

"Okay, Toxtricity! Let's try this G-Max Stun Shock move!" said Luna. Toxtricity reaches behind his back, and pulls out a large, pink mass of energy that was shaped like a guitar.

"Whoa. I've heard of electric guitars, but never a guitar made of electrcity." said Lana. They all watch as Toxtricity swings the guitar-shaped mass of energy, causing a large bolt of purple lightning to come down from the sky, hitting the Carvanha, causing super effective damage.

"Dude! That rocked!" said Luna. Everyone watches as Carvanha's energy explodes, causing it to be stunned. Not knowing what else to do, Luna takes out a pokeball, uses her Dynamax Band to enlarge it, then throws it at the Carvanha. The pokeball opens up, and it sucks the Carvanha into it. The ball crashes to the ground, and wiggles a few times, before it clicks, indicating a successful capture.

"Yay! You did it, Luna!" said Leni. Soon, the Loud sisters were back in the Soothing Wetlands. Luna's new Carvanha's pokeball disappears to storage. She then uses her Rotom Phone to look up her Carvanha's information.

"This says my new Carvanha is a dude, he knows Aqua Jet, Leer, Poison Fang, Focus Energy, Scary Face, and Bite. He has the Rough Skin ability which hurts any Pokemon that attacks it physically." said Luna. She then picks up the Big Nugget and berries that appeared near the Pokemon Den they came out of.

"Sounds like you shouldn't get up close and personal with this Pokemon." said Lucy.

"Yeah." said Lola. Everyone does some more Dynamax Battles for a while, finding plenty of items to sell in the process. They didn't really find any Pokemon they felt would suit them, so they didn't try catching them. Clyde also took the time to collect some Max Mushrooms to make some Max Soup for his Urushifu. A few hours later, everyone meets in front of the Master Dojo. Clyde then goes inside and has Ms Honey make some Max Soup. She does so, and Clyde gives it to his Urushifu. After that, Clyde exits the dojo and rejoins the others.

"Is it time to leave?" asked Lola.

"Yeah. I think we've been here long enough." said Lincoln. Everyone starts to think back to their time on the Isle of Armor; all the Pokemon they've seen, the people they met, even though Leni didn't like Klara all that much, and all the challenges that Clyde faced in his trials, including facing off against Master Mustard at the Tower of Waters. Once they were done reminiscing, Lincoln pulls out his Rotom Phone and calls for some Flying Taxis. They soon arrived, with Ronnie Anne being surprised, and they each climbed into a carriage.

"So where to, kids?" asked one of the pilots.

"Professor Magnolia's place, just outside Wedgehurst." said Lincoln. As they all were lifted into the sky, they all look towards the Master Dojo and see Master Mustard, Ms. Honey, Hyde, Klara, and all the dojo students waving at them, making the Louds, Ronnie Anne, and Clyde, wave back. Their time on the Isle of Armor is done for now; their Gym Challenge awaits.
