A/N: New chapter! Hope you enjoy it. It's the next part of the School Hard episode. From here, changes really start taking place.

P.S all the flashbacks take place with Aisling around the age of 7-8.

Parent-Teacher Night Pt 2.

"Sing me the song"

Little seven-year-old Aisling shook her head. Tears streamed down her cheeks. "I don't want to."

The woman's hand struck out but before she could strike her another hand grabbed her wrist. The woman turned to Spike but Spike just smiled softly. "How's she supposed to sing if you break her jaw Luv?"

The woman pouted and gave Spike the puppy dog eyes. "Oh, come now," Spike said. "I'll sing."

"You don't sing the words as well." The woman complained. "I won't hurt her." She giggled. "Wouldn't want to mar the dolly's face."

Before Aisling or Spike could react, the woman's hand touched her forehead and the world around Aisling swam and changed. Everything around her started to burn, she could hear her mom and dad screaming out for her.

Within minutes she was singing the song she hadn't wanted to perform.

Go mbristear do chosa, do chosa
Go mbristear do chosa 'bean Pháidín
Go mbristear do chosa, do chosa

Go mbristear do chosa 's do chnámha

Aisling only had time to stop by the library and drop off the backpack of weapons before she had to hurry to class.

"More weapons for Saturday" Aisling explained handing off the bag for Giles.

"Yes – Um thank you," Giles said taking the bag from her.

Aisling nodded once before she turned and hurried off.

The rest of her classes were about as boring as could be expected. She did her best to pay attention but the up-and-coming events, not to mention Buffy's description of a new vampiress, had her distracted.

A part of her was trying to decide if she should tell Spike, but she quickly shut that down. Since a) she had no idea if the Vampiress was Her. (A lot of vampires had thrall abilities, The Master, Dracula, the vampire that had kidnapped her in Cleveland.) And b) If Spike had any inkling that she was in town Spike would insist they leave and any chance of him being healed would go out the window. (Though if Spike didn't show any more improvement, and soon, she'd likely have to resort to drastic measures. What kind -she didn't know.)

The final bell rang, and she picked up her books and hurried out of class as soon as possible.

Buffy, Xander, and Willow walked past her locker.

"Hey!" Buffy said. "You going to help out at the library?"

"Love too" Aisling started, "Can't, Da' wants me home. I – ah – told him about the whole 'Frankenstein' thing during Lunch today and Dad wants me to go home and tell him about any other misadventures that he may hear about. So, he's not caught off guard."

Buffy winced in sympathy "How'd your dad take it?"

"'What?'" Aisling said.

Buffy paused and started again "I said-"

"I heard what you said, Da's reaction was 'What?' He looked like he was still trying to process what I told him as I hurried out the door."

Buffy and the gang chuckled. "I guess it would take someone a moment to wrap their head around it."

Aisling nodded. "Though honestly, I think that's the only thing I did that involved the school a lot of the other vampires I fought took place outside of Sunnydale High so there would be nothing else to mention."

"Why not tell your dad?" Buffy asked. "I mean, he already knows about this stuff."

"I don't want him to worry," Aisling said.

"I'd love if mom knew about my extracurriculars," Buffy said. "She might just back off."

"A loving parent not worrying about their kid – especially when that kid has the calling to destroy the vampires and demons?" Aisling shook her head. "Doubt it."

Buffy slumped forward. "I know your right, but couldn't you have just let me daydream for a moment?"

Aisling patted Buffy's back sympathetically. "Sorry," she said, just as the two of them reached the library.

"Oh, by the way, I brought a few weapons by for Saturday," Aisling said. "Da's going to be insistent that I stay home, but a family friend is coming by tonight, she's a witch so if you want to ask her for magical assistance-"

Buffy nearly cut off her oxygen supply hugging her tightly. "Thank you." She whispered; Aisling could feel her shirt getting soaked from Buffy's tears.

"Breath!" Aisling gasped. Buffy loosened her grip but still hugged her. "Thank you… and uh… what are you thanking me for."

"For helping," Buffy said. "Even if you can't be there personally, thank you for trying. Thank you for the advice earlier about seeking out vampire nests."

"I'm sure your friends help too."

Buffy nodded and they continued walking again. "They do, they will, but… you just… you acknowledge that my strength isn't everything without making it a big deal. I'm not The Slayer to you, I'm just a slayer to you."

"Course you are," Aisling said. "You ain't all that Summers. Giles telling you that you should fight the vampires alone was needlessly cruel. You're one person, A super strong and powerful person, but one person. If you have to stand alone, you should have every chip stacked in your favour."

"What kind of help will she give me?" Buffy asked. "Ms. Calendar's a techno pagan, and Giles is adept at some magic maybe the four of us can brainstorm.

Aisling shrugged. "Maybe. That'll be a discussion between you and Nanny Kat. I do have an amulet that protects against magical manipulation of the mind, should you run into that thrall-y vampiress again."

Buffy's eyes widened then she shook her head. "That… that sounds like something good to have. I may ask her to make me one instead." Buffy bit her lip "Where's yours?"

"At home, haven't needed to wear it since I was 12. Though I stopped wearing it religiously when I was 13." Aisling thought about it and remembered Buffy's mention of a vampire who was good at Thrall. "Though considering what you said about that vampiress… I should probably take to wearing it again." They stopped just outside the library. "Good luck tonight alright? I'll hopefully be by in a couple of hours."

Buffy took a deep breath and nodded. "Thanks, Ash."

Aisling nodded and gave Buffy a little squeeze before walking off.

"So, a high school boy brought back his dead brother, and then to make his brother happy, tried to make a dead girl from dead body parts, only using recently dead people's heads were out of the question cause of brain rot," Spike repeated to his young daughter.

"So, they tried to cut Cordelia's head off to get a brain that wasn't useless," Aisling said. "And in burning the body Willow and Xander accidentally ended up burning down an old science lab. Yes."

Spike stared at Aisling for a moment before he shook his head. "Yeah, that sounds like something a grieving person would do."

Aisling stared at Spike for a moment in sympathy before she started to speak again "Outside of that, there's been nothing eventful at school." Aisling said willing her heart rate to stay calm.

Spike wasn't fooled. "And outside?"

Aisling winced. "I've killed a few vampires." She hedged.

"Knew you were jumping straight into the shower immediately after school for a reason." Spike sighed. "Aisling…"

"We can't leave," Aisling said. "You're not well enough to leave yet, and I didn't want you worrying."

"Aisling-" Spike sighed.

"Besides, I staked those vampires, I think that proves I can handle myself."

"She has a point," Kat said. "She's not that much younger than Buffy."

"Knowing she can handle herself and letting her trounce around a Hellmouth are two different things," Spike said.

"I know," Aisling said looking down. "But I didn't want to insist we move. As much as I miss my friends in Vegas. On top of you still being weakened- I'm starting to like it here." Aisling said.

Spike sighed. "I know, but I put these rules in place for your protection. If we're going to stay, here. You must do as I say. When I say don't go out at night alone, It's because it's dangerous. When I saw stay home Saturday, it's because-"

"It's super dangerous even if I am with friends," Aisling said. "I know. I'll do better to avoid getting hurt. But you should know that one of those times I was fighting vamps I was trying to save friends. So…"

Spike hugged his little girl. "I'm glad you protected your friends." Aisling could tell he meant those words. "But I also need you safe. Home before sunset unless you're with friends. Blood runs can wait until morning."

"Da'" Aisling started.

"Please, Ash," Spike said. "And no that doesn't mean you're allowed to cut yourself to feed me, blood needs will keep till morning."

Ash groaned. "Wasn't even thinkin' of that" Aisling argued. Besides, she knew that it would never work. Spike knew how her blood tasted and smelled. There was no way she'd be able to feed him her blood without a fight. A fight that, in all likelihood, she would either lose or it would just weaken her father further and neither option sounded particularly pleasant.

"Do the two of you still want to go to PT Night?" Aisling asked. "Cause I have no problem stayin' home watchin' movies." She said. "Nothin' would please me more."

Spike smirked "Nice try." he said. "Let's get goin',"

Spike, Kat, and Aisling walked into the school to see Buffy at the table handing out drinks.

"Buffy!" Aisling called out.

Buffy looked up looking slightly frazzled but then she smiled and waved back.

Moment o' truth Aisling thought to herself as she walked over to the refreshment table. She picked up a chocolate chip cookie and started eating to hide her nerves. Kat had put a spell on Spike allowing him to stay undetected by Slayers and now they were seeing how well it would hold up.

But Buffy didn't seem to think anything was wrong. Given the look of surprise followed by the intense red blush, she had just fallen victim to the problems that a lot of people did when they saw dad for the first time. To Buffy's credit, however, she just smiled and held up a cup of lemonade. "Lemonade?" She asked.

Kat and Aisling both declined. Citing that neither of them particularly liked lemonade, Spike (owing to the leftover Victorian Gentlemen he swore up and down he no longer was) kindly took the lemonade from her outstretched hand and downed it in one gulp.

"Tastes good," Spike said. "Ta"

Buffy smiled, "Thank you. I was afraid when Willow mentioned sugar it would be bad,"

"I never really cared for a lot of sugar anyway," Spike said.

Aisling stepped forward and motioned toward Kat. "This is the woman I was telling you about. My old Nanny Kat?"

Buffy looked up at Kat leaned forward and lowered her voice. "You're a witch?"

Kat smiled and shook Buffy's hand. "I'm a substitute teacher in New York. But also teach a small magic class during the weekend. It makes things interesting I'll give you that much."

"Aisling said something about" Buffy lowered her voice so as not to be overheard. "Protection Spells," she said in a whisper. "Ms. Calendar the computer teacher, is a techno pagan… I was thinking the two of you could…"

Kat nodded "That seems reasonable," Kat said. "We can talk a bit when you have a moment for privacy?"

Buffy nodded, looking relieved. "Yes, please thank you."

"Any Use?" Aisling asked as Spike came out of her English Classroom. Kat had opted to stay with Buffy in case a moment to talk presented itself. (Also, to make sure that Buffy's vampire sense didn't alert her to Spike's presence.) Last she saw Buffy had asked Willow to quickly grab Giles and Calendar so they four of them could talk.

Spike turned back to the teacher and shook her hand. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Beakman"

"It's a pleasure to have your daughter in my class." Ms. Beakman said with a smile (Aisling realized with growing horror that it looked almost besotted), she shook Spike's hand for an extended period of time, before motioning for the next parent to come in. Spike turned to Aisling and was surprised to see that she was staring at him horrified.

"Please, don't tell me you flirted with her."

"I'll have you know, I was a perfect Victorian gentleman," Spike said slipping into his high-class accent. "No flirting at all."

"Yeah, that's what concerns me," Aisling said with a roll of her eyes. "Victorian Gentleman equates to modern 'sweep me off my feet.'" Aisling's eyes narrowed. "Which you know."

"Alright, enough. Least, I didn't embarrass you."

"Uh-huh, please tell me that you didn't reveal that you're single?"

"It didn't come up," Spike said. "Though it's in your file that you live with your single adopted father."

Aisling sighed. "Had to come in looking your best. Insisted on it. Couldn't wear the same black jeans and shirt and leather duster you always do." She muttered. "No, had to make yourself look 'presentable.' Do you have any idea what it's like every time you come to PT Night and the teachers and students see you? The next day, I come to school, and every single person who saw you is like, 'your dad's hot.' Is he single?' 'Can I have his number?'"

Spike chuckled; Aisling shot him a dark look. "You are so lucky, that the events of Prague weakened you. Otherwise, I might feel compelled to punch you." She said taking his arm.

Spike rolled his eyes. "Least I didn't reduce this English teacher to tears."

"Thank goodness," Aisling said. "Nice to know there are some teachers made of stronger stuff."

"Didn't seem that way to me."

"Well, yeah, you grew up in the Victorian Era, where discipline meant canings." She whispered with a roll of her eyes. "But in this day and age…"

"Oi, don't we have other classes to visit?"

"You up for it?" Aisling said. "PT Night doesn't end for another two hours; we can take it easy."

Spike shook his head. "You don't have to worry about me, Ash."

"If I don't who will?" Aisling said, but she sighed. "Come on, I know you're eager to talk to my Phys-ed teacher, and Ms. Litto's been curious about you too. Especially when I told her that you're the one that taught me everything I know."

Ms. Litto had nothing but praise for Aisling. She adored having the girl in class and was quite impressed with her athleticism. "She's a joy, always willing to learn something new." She said.

Spike smiled at Ms. Litto. "She's always liked running around as a child. It never really stopped as she got older. (Or learning how to defend herself helped deal with the trauma that she'd undergone either way)

"We're learning self-defence in a few months, she said you taught her some things."

Spike nodded. "A person should know how to defend themselves." He said thinking of Ireland, Prague and all the times, in between, that Aisling had been hurt.

Litto agreed, "I wonder if you would be interested in helping teach that class, Mr. Pratt."

Spike shook his head with a smile. "'preciate it," Spike said. "But I was in an accident over the summer, still not up to self-defence trainin'."

Litto nodded sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that." She said. "I hope you get back on your feet in no time, and if you change your mind. Let me know."

Spike doubted that would be the case but thanked the gym teacher, nonetheless.

The little girl pursed her lips as she looked at the cards in her hands.

"Do you have any sixes?" She asked her voice so low she was practically mouthing the words.

Spike pulled the six of hearts card from his hand and gave the card to her. She gave a soft smile and pulled her own six of spades and placed the pair on a small pile beside her.

"Queens?" She asked.

"Fish."

Little seven-year-old Aisling picked up another card from the deck. She eyed the only window in the room. Too high for the seven-year-old to climb through and too high for the sunlight to affect the vampires that would come in.

Aisling didn't say anything, though Spike knew what she was thinking.

"You have another hour or so before she wakes," Spike said.

Aisling turned to Spike and looked down at her cards.

"Do you have any Jacks?" Spike

Aisling shook her head. "Fish." She whispered.

Spike pulled another card from the deck and looked up at Aisling and cursed when he saw that she'd gone completely and utterly still. He reached out with his senses and realized that She had woken earlier than usual. He grabbed the playing cards and stuffed them into his pocket.

In his hurry to leave, however, he hadn't noticed that the king of hearts had fallen to the ground.

"Hey, Devon" Aisling waved as she and Spike walked passed them on the way to the music room.

"Hey, Ash," Devon said with a smile and nodded his head toward Spike. "That your dad?"

Aisling smiled. "Aye," She gestured toward the door to the music room "Your mum inside?"

Devon nodded. "Ms. Jackson is probably the only teacher I don't mind her seeing."

"She met any of your other teachers yet?"

"Yeah, thought it would be smarter if I saved the best for last. End on a high note."

Aisling nodded then as though just remembering that her dad had no idea who she was talking to, she turned to him. "This is Devon, he's the lead singer in the band 'The Dingoes Ate my Baby.'

Spike raised an eyebrow. "From the Azaria Chamberlain case?"

Devon nodded. "We thought it would make a good band name." Devon said."

"It's an interesting choice," Spike said diplomatically just as Ms. Jackson and a woman who had to be Devon's mother walked out.

From the look on Devon's mother's face, Devon's plan had kind of worked. She was pleased with what Ms. Jackson had said but it was obvious that she still had what his other teachers would say on her mind.

"Good luck Devon," Aisling said with a wave.

Devon gave a mock salute as they walked away.

Except for her French teacher, who was displeased with her inability to grasp the French language ("She can converse in Gaelic easily but can't grasp French." "It's all those exceptions!"), PT Night went quite well.

She met up with Kat who was conversing softly with Buffy.

"I can meet up with you tomorrow," Buffy whispered while Aisling and Spike walked up to them. "Thanks so much for doing this. I've already dealt with a bunch, but I have no idea how many more there might be."

"Any friend of Aisling's is a friend of mine," Kat said. She turned to Aisling and Spike. "How was it?"

Aisling looked up at Spike, who squeezed her shoulder. "It went good,"

Aisling whispered to Buffy "Especially with Miss Beakman."

"Oi, it wasn't like that," Spike said glaring at her.

"That's what he says." Aisling chuckled Buffy chuckled with her. "She looked besotted."

Buffy winced, "Ouch that's gotta hurt." She patted Aisling back.

"This happens every year!" Aisling cried dramatically. "Every single year someone is like "You're da's hot – what's his number?"

Buffy bit her lip and blushed.

"I doubt it's as bad as all that, Sweets," Spike said.

Aisling glared back at her father, "Says you, you don't have to field the requests for the next several weeks."

Spike rolled his eyes. Aisling chuckled before grabbing a cookie from the snack table. "Want one?" Aisling asked.

Spike took the one out of Aisling's hand and bit into it before she had a chance to move out of his reach. "Thanks, Sweet."

Aisling's eyes widened in mock rage. "Prat," she said before grabbing another chocolate chip cookie.

"That is my name," Spike said with a grin. "Yours too."

"What does Prat mean?" Buffy asked.

"The surname or the insult?" Aisling asked.

Buffy's forehead creased in confusion as she thought about the question, "Both?" she asked.

"The insult P-R-A-T prat means, idiot or arsehole," Aisling said.

"The Surname Pratt 'P-R-A-T-T' I think is old English for 'clever trickster'," Kat cut in.

"Fitting, to be honest," Aisling said with a grin.

Spike glared at her while Kat chuckled. "She's not wrong Will."

"Giles has us locked up in that library, working on your weapons," Spike, Kat, Aisling, and Buffy turned to the voice that had spoken and saw Cordelia walking toward them. "Even slaves get minimum wage. By the way I so don't appreciate you calling him and Calendar away from stake-making. They both just got back two minutes ago!"

Spike and Kat looked at Aisling confused. Aisling gave an embarrassed smile, "Dad, Nanny Kat, this is Cordelia Chase." Aisling said her tone exasperated.

Cordelia's eyes widened when she saw Spike. "Your handsome," Cordelia said.

"Kill me now," Aisling muttered. "Cordelia, this is my father, William Pratt."

"What, I can't admit your dad is hot? Sorry." Cordelia said.

Aisling looked at her dad and hid her face in his shoulder. Spike just looked uncomfortable. "Ta," Spike muttered sarcastically as he rubbed his daughter's back with one hand and used the other hand to support himself as he leaned against the snack table.

Cordelia gave a wide smile, then frowned when she turned back to Buffy.

"What?" Buffy asked.

"Your starting to look a little slagged." Buffy looked away annoyed. "What are you just skipping foundation entirely now?"

"Cordelia, I have at least 3 lives to contend with, none of which really mesh. It's kind of like oil, and water and a third unmeshable thing."

"Yeah, and I can see the oil," Cordelia said gesturing to Buffy's face.

Buffy rolled her eyes.

"Cordy, don't you have your parents to show around the school?" Aisling cut in.

"Parents are out of town." Cordelia said turning toward Spike, Kat, and Aisling, "Business trip to Paris." Cordelia turned back to Buffy, but whatever she was about to say was changed as she got distracted by something she saw past Buffy's head. "Is that your mom?"

Buffy and Aisling turned their heads to see Willow with the woman with blonde curly hair that had to be Mrs. Summers.

"Non that is a woman who knows how to moisturize," Cordelia said. "Did it, like, skip a generation?"

Before anyone could say anything Ms. Summers, and Willow walked toward them. "Well, I believe that I have seen every classroom on campus, and just as I get there, all your teachers miraculously have stepped out." Behind her, Willow was looking utterly pleased with herself but trying to hide it from Mrs. Summers.

Buffy sounded relieved. "Oh," She turned her head to see Snyder walking back into the lounge. "Oh." This time she sounded a bit more worried. "Um, but you haven't seen the Boiler room yet, and you know that's really interesting, what with the boiler being in the room and all."

Ms. Summers looked like she wasn't buying it. Spike raised an eyebrow at Aisling. His daughter just shrugged.

Unfortunately, Snyder had walked up behind Buffy and Cordelia, and Joyce took that opportunity to introduce herself, "Hi, I'm Joyce Summers. I'm Buffy's Mother." She held out her hand, then awkwardly retracted it when she realized that he wasn't going to shake it.

"Principal Snyder," Snyder said, he gave a half glance to Buffy who looked away worried. "I'm afraid we need to talk; my office is down here."

Snyder turned and led Ms. Summers away, Buffy and Joyce shared a look.

"He didn't look very happy, did he," Buffy said.

"You did an excellent job," Aisling said. "That had to have accrued some goodwill."

"Doubt it," Cordelia said. "My guess is: When they're done talking…"

"What?" Buffy asked worriedly.

"My Guess? 10th high school reunion, you'll still be grounded."

"Cordelia, have some lemonade," Willow said.

Cordelia decided that then would be a good idea, to walk away.

Kat, Buffy, and Willow sat together. Kat attempted to talk to Buffy, but Buffy was too focused on the place where Ms. Summers and Snyder had disappeared. Willow seemed eager to keep the conversation going. She talked a lot about some spells and talismans that she'd read about.

Aisling meanwhile sat Spike down a few feet away and pushed a thermos into his hand "Drink."

"Sweet-"

"Please," Aisling said. "I told you not to overdo it today. Don't think I didn't notice your energy failing you back then."

"I'm fine," Spike said but he opened the thermos and took a swig from it. "You worry too much."

Aisling rolled her eyes. "How do you feel?"

Spike smiled. "I'm fine, little one."

Aisling sat beside him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." She whispered.

"Aisling," Spike said. "It's not your fault."

Aisling sighed but whatever she was about to say was cut off when they noticed that Ms. Summers and Snyder reappeared. Willow and Buffy stood as Snyder and Ms. Summers approached them, Snyder walked right past them. Joyce stared at Buffy with disappointment in her eyes. "In the car, now." She said before turning around and walking away.

Snyder gave a smug smile as Buffy started to walk away. "By Aisling, Willow, Mr. Pratt, and Kat," Buffy said. She gave one final glance toward Snyder before following her mother.

"I think we should leave too," Kat said. "Have a lot to do before Saturday."

Spike nodded, while Aisling and Kat helped him stand.

Snyder climbed up some stairs and flicked a switch shutting off the lights walked toward the light switch next to the window in the lounge and shout those off too then walked off back to his office.

And that's when several vampires crashed through the window.

They stood there menacingly, all in vamp face, ready to pounce at a moment's notice.

"What are they…" Aisling started before she saw another figure gracefully climb through the window. A vampiress with raven black hair that went past her shoulders, wearing a dress with an empire waistline, and a coat made entirely of fur. Unlike the other vampires, she was in her human guise.

It wouldn't have mattered. It may have been years since she'd last seen that face, but she'd have recognized her anywhere no matter which form she took.

That vampire who made her life a living hell for a year.

That vampire who filled her head with visions of hell, who made her doubt her own reality. The monster that tried to turn Aisling into a sick twisted version of… Her.

The Vampire whose name had been taboo ever since they escaped. The name she could never say even in the privacy of her own mind, because of the horrible memories it brought up.

Her own personal Angelus.

Drusilla.

A/N Sorry for taking so long. Hope you enjoy it. Yeah, in the version instead of spike crashing PT Night it's instead Drusilla and as you may have already guest. Drusilla is the name of the vampire that Aisling is constantly referring to as 'Her.'
