13080. Ok, which one of the SCIENCE! ships is responsible for this? Now all the destroyers want one.
13080a. God help fathers everywhere if this ever goes public.

Her Majesties Naval Base Portsmouth had seen many bizarre things since shipgirls began to show up. The naval personnel were practically immune to it by then, ability to adapt to the craziness that was shipgirl shenanigans being a skill they quickly acquired to maintain their sanity, not that there was much of that to go around in the first place among sailors.

But even they would admit, seeing a bunch of manjuus and faeries flying around on unicorn back was a first.

"U-chan had foals?!" was the thought on everyone's minds as they recognized the iconic toy? of the Azur Lane HMS Unicorn.

Unicorn (RN) herself had no idea how that had happened. Granted, U-chan did tend to run off by itself every now and then. She was also pretty sure it didn't have any genitalia so having foals wasn't exactly possible. Then again, no one was sure if U-chan was a toy or living thing to begin with.

"So, are we going to do anything about the flock? of tiny unicorns flying around the base?" Belfast asked, too sober to be dealing with this shit.

"I think that's Erik up there leading them all," HMS Audacity, escort carrier said.

"Hey!" (I shall pioneer a new form of naval aviation!)

"I think I remember seeing Vanguard cackling with a struggling bag just the right size for that toy unicorn last night," HMS Edinburg mentioned.

The other girls there facepalmed. Of course she did.

"Look on the bright side," HMS KGV said. "At least this won't bring us bad PR if it gets out."

HMS Warspite snorted. "Of course, every father with a daughter will be cussing us out if it does. Little girls everywhere will want one now that they know it's possible to have a real-life unicorn."

"Forget little girls everywhere," HMS Queen Elizabeth said. "Think about the destroyers, frigates and corvettes!"

The ships there shuddered. The squeals would probably reach glass-shattering levels.

It took them the better part of the day, but they managed to capture every last one of the flying unicorns. The one ridden by Captain Brown was a lot harder to capture, since none of the faerie pilots from HMS Ark Royal who were charged with getting him down wanted to actually shoot the unicorns.

It took a lot of creative flying to finally lure him into a net, but they managed. Of course, word got out anyway that there were real tiny unicorns in Portsmouth and destroyers, frigates and corvettes soon swarmed the place.

"Well, guess getting rid of them isn't an option," Hood said as she took in the sight of every destroyer this side of the Atlantic gathered there.

"How's the admiral taking this?" Illustrious asked.

"He requisitioned the tiny unicorns and is now cuddling them in his office for emotional support," Glorious said.

"Of course he did," Hood sighed.
