Honestly I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet!

13589: We have shipboys, we have volcanogirls, planetgirls, we have the personifications of Airbus and Boeing. We even have the personification of Hurricane fucking Katrina. We also have an electric chair in our midst. If any of you dipshits decide to start summoning any more crazy things like continents, lakes, cities, or buildings etc, just know two things
13589a: You are responsible for whatever mayhem they cause and/or are involved in
13589b: "And you will serve a punishment on Yellowstone's Wheel of Fortune. Yes it is that serious we are making an exception for this."~ Admiral Briggs

13590: Yes there are two new girls on base and yes, they are twins. No, you may not pester them or attempt to find out the secret of Twintuiton. They're here to keep you idiots in line not add to the insanity!

Briggs put the finishing touches on his latest addition to the ruleslist, humming to himself as he worked. It had been a quiet day so far and the Admiral was feeling good. Wright stood next to him. The secretary ship did not look nearly as pleased as he did but she had reason to be concerned. "You do know saying this will just encourage them do it right?" She asked.

Briggs wasn't deterred. "Since I've delivered a lawful order I can dish out their punishment according to the UCMJ." CYA, it was the oldest technique in the book and it had never failed him. Any punishments handed down from now on were going to be solely on the shipgirls themselves. For once the Admiral was looking forward to turning Yellowstone loose.

"Clever and sneaky sir, I like it." said a voice from above him. A new shipgirl was clinging to the ceiling.

"Very canny sir, I am suitably impressed." said a second voice. The second shipgirl swung easily through the partially open window. Briggs tried and failed to understand as his office was on the fifth floor.

The admiral just about jumped out of his chair when he saw them. "AHHHH, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TWO?" Wright's guns twitched.

"Just your friendly neighborhood Twins." Grinned the first girl, pushing her silver ponytail back over her shoulder as she dropped to the floor.

"We're on loan to you for rest of the week. Admiral Cartwright in New Jersey sent us to you. With the Port Authority's approval of course." The second girl said as she handed him the paperwork she procured from seemingly nowhere.

Briggs had long since given up trying to understand the hows and whys of shipgirls and instead looked it over while fighting the urge to facepalm and mutter 'fuck my life' for the nteenth time. "Everything seems to be in order. But why do you need the Port Authority on this?" He asked.

The two girls, clad in the uniforms of the PAPD and looking so similar it all but confirmed for Briggs that they were twins, grinned sheepishly. "Well we're not enlisted." said the first girl.

"And since they held the pink slip we take our orders from them. Well, and Admiral Cartwright but that's a joint op." said the second with a shrug.

"You two have names?" He asked, noticing the blaring lack of them on the paperwork.

The pair looked at each other and shook their heads, thinking of all the nicknames they've had over the years.

"Matchsticks."

"Filing Cabinets."

"Big Fat Ugly Fuc***"

"Silver Showoffs."

"Two Middle Fingers Pointed at the Sky"

"David and Nelson. Ugh!" They spoke in unison and shuddered.

Briggs was beginning to get the point. "So no actual names." He said, hoping to get this conversation back on track before he heard something he couldn't unhear. He had seen enough of twin behavior with Spirit and Opportunity to know where this would go if he didn't.

"Not really."

"Nothing nice at least. Well, unless you count being a direction as part of your name. It's certainly way better than oh say (REDACTED)!"

Briggs' eyes widened and so did Wright's. The secretary ship spoke first. "Who summoned you?" She asked.

"Not one of yours so don't worry." said the first girl with a wave of her hand. Briggs noted she had a lock of hair that stuck up, pleased he could distinguish something between them.

"The city did actually. About. two days ago. By accident. It was kinda funny though to just appear in front of everyone. Oh the popos had a field day!" They both laughed.

"Let me phrase my question another way. What do you want to be called?" Briggs asked.

"Polaris." answered the first girl immediately. Polaris, the North Star, it was fitting.

"Well if she's Polaris I guess I'm Australis." said her twin with a shrug. "But if you don't mind I'd like to go by Sarah."

"Sarah it is. Welcome, Polaris, Sarah."

"Thank you Admiral!" they spoke in unison and this time even Wright shuddered.

"That's going to take some getting used to." She said once the pair had left. They hadn't bothered to use the door, simply leaping out the window and sliding down the building to the ground.

"You're telling me." Briggs muttered and walked to his cabinet. Wright followed him with her own glass and the pair proceeded to make the biggest dent in Briggs' liquor stash since Yellowstone's summoning.
