AN: Sorry took so long, and sorry in advance that it's so long.
Also the end is going off the story plan i made up for this Cross-over story, but i just let my fingers wander over the keyboard as i wrote it, i didn't think of any of it.
Plus I think it's a pretty good message.
Either way I will *try* to be faster in putting up the next chapter, promise.
For the next few weeks, Jack, Harry, Elisa and Annie still went to their after school hour Dementor repelling lessons with Professor Lupin every Thursday evening.
Because Jack could make a Patronus, he just went for support and to help hand out the chocolate when the others woke up or recovered from their turns at fighting.
On the third week of lessons, Elisa couldn't make it, when the boys asked Annie where she was, the sister said: "She was working on something and it needed more attention than the lesson."
This confused the boys a little, but they let the topic drop as Lupin came in with the trunk holding the Boggart.
Since it was only Harry and Annie practising today, they decided to fight it one-on-one, starting with Harry.
Although he had been practising and trying different memories he still hadn't found the right one yet, and yet he still didn't want Baby Tooth to help him find the right one.
"He probably just doesn't want you to tire yourself out, Baby," Jack said gently petting her to cheer her up, as she was huffing, her wings buzzing in annoyance, which Annie thought was cute.
Over where Lupin and Harry were, the boy had just nodded to the teacher to let the Boggart Dementor out, standing firmly, with his grip tight on his wand, a pure look of focus on his face.
"One... two... three..." Lupin counted lifting the lid and stepping back.
Harry lasted a little longer than he normally would which meant he was getting a bit better, but once again he ended up knocked out on the floor.
Sighing, Lupin sent the Boggart back into the trunk and went to check on the black haired boy.
"You think he'll finally get it?" Annie asked quietly to Jack.
"Well, I know he'll keep trying until he does, even if it kills him," Jack said honestly "But I think the reason he's having such a hard time is because his so-called-family didn't really give him that many good happy memories for him to pick out of."
Annie was about to question this, when they hear Harry say:
"I heard my dad. That's the first time I've ever heard him."
"You heard James?" Lupin asked, looking a bit uneasy at this.
"Yes – why did you know him?" Harry asked, taking the chocolate frog he was being offered.
"I did as a matter of fact, we were in school together," Lupin replied before trying to call these lessons off saying he shouldn't have tried to get Harry to try it.
"NO!" Harry said firmly, stuffing the chocolate in his mouth and getting up again. "I need to learn this. If the Dementors come to our match against Ravenclaw we lose the Cup."
"Harry," Jack said calmly, but firmly, making the boy and the teacher look around at him "Is an empty cup - that we can get some other year - really worth you working yourself to the bone, and getting sick over?"
Thinking for a bit Harry frowned and looked away.
"I know you want to learn this," Jack said, getting up and coming over to him, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder. "And I know you want the cup for Oliver Wood. But nothing is worth possibly risking your life over."
At this Baby Tooth twitted something that sounded like a question.
"That was different, Baby. She was going to fall in if I didn't do anything," Jack said, slightly annoyed, his grip on Harry's shoulder getting tighter "And I didn't have time to go get help."
After a minute of silence Lupin suggested to Harry to take a break and let Annie have a go.
Nodding the boys went back to the desks where Baby Tooth was waiting, nibbling on some cookies that were sitting there.
As Annie was practising on her Patronus, still not getting a full one yet, Jack suggested to Harry to just close his eyes, and calmly breathing, try to think of something to use.
As Harry closed his eyes, Jack held Baby Tooth up to the black haired boy's forehead so she wouldn't be flapping her wings.
Carefully, Baby placed her hands onto his head, and started to use her powers to help him remember things but backed away quickly, squealing, shaking her head, and looking from her hands to Harry's scar, before flying as fast as she could away from the boy and out of the room.
"Baby Tooth! Come back!" Jack called, running out after her, leaving Harry there thinking, using those few seconds of Baby's magic to finally find the right memory.

Jack was still looking for Baby Tooth 10 minutes later, not really sure where a little fairy like her would go, or what upset her so much.
He wanted to find her sooner rather than later, because she seemed so upset.
"Ok, the places Baby would go are the dormitory," he said to himself coming to a stop in the corridor to think. "Elisa - possibly in the Library or Ravenclaw Tower, maybe wherever Ginny Weasley is she seems to like her, or..."
And just like that, Jack felt a mix of stupid for not thinking of it sooner, and relief that it was an option if he was right.
Turning around, Jack started to run towards the classroom / living quarters where Bunny was staying.
Sighing in relief when he saw the upset little blue, green, and yellow fairy, speaking faster than her wings were flapping, pulling on Bunny's sleeves to try and make him come with her somewhere.
"Jack, mate, can you try and get the little Sheila to calm down, her tweeting is hurting my ears and I can't understand her if she's going this fast." Bunny said as the boy came in.
"Sorry Bunny," Jack said, coming over to the fairy cupping her in his hands. "She was trying to help Harry remember some happy memories, and something happened, then she just flew away."
Baby Tooth pricked Jack with her beak to make him let go and again started pulling on Bunny's sleeve.
"Baby..." Jack said, sucking on his finger a little "We can't help if we don't know what's wrong. Slow down and explain what happened."
But Baby didn't seem like she wanted to slow down and just kept trying to get them to follow her.
One or two times Jack made out 'Harry' and 'Danger' but that was it.
Giving up trying, using his tunnelling magic, Bunny went to fetch Tooth who upon hearing something had upset Baby came straight away despite all the children's teeth calling for her.
It was really something to watch, in Jack's opinion.
One big fairy, one little fairy, both speaking at possibly 30 words a second in their own language, Tooth once in a while gasping and asking questions, which Jack had a feeling was 'Are you sure?'
After a few minutes, Baby was done speaking and once again tried to get Bunny to follow her.
"What's she want now?" Bunny asked Tooth, looking confused. "You've heard what's the matter, you can sort it right?"
"She believes you would be better for this job," Tooth said looking a little nervous "Or maybe Pitch, but you were closer so she came to you first."
"Wait, what?" Jack asked surprised "Why would she want to go to Pitch? What is it that got her so upset?"
"There's something in Harry's scar," Tooth said slowly, trying to say the right thing "Something bad. Something only a professional healer, or someone with dark powers might possibly get out."
"Something bad is in Harry's scar?" Jack asked, confused trying to understand "Well what? How? It's just a mark left over from when Moldy-Wart tried to kill him right?"
"Jack, the Killing Curse leaves no marks whatsoever," Bunny said calmly, packing what Jack believed to be an old-age doctor's bag. "No wounds, no scars, no ingestion of poisons, anything. If you got hit with it, you would be perfectly fine, apart from being dead."
"So... this what-ever-it-is, is what made Harry's scar?" Jack asked, trying to understand "And that's why it's not faded after all this time?"
"Yes, so come on then you little fairy, let's go see what's wrong with the boy," Bunny said closing the bag and picking it up "You coming Tooth?"
Nodding, Tooth put on her necklace which disguised her as a human with short black hair with a streak of blue and green running through it. She was wearing a simple pass-the-knees dress, and slip on black shoes.
Together they all went back to the History of Magic classroom, entering just as they hear Harry call out:
"Expecto Patronum!"
A large silvery something shot out of his wand and charged down the Boggart Dementor, slamming it back into the trunk, where Lupin slammed the lid down, locking it inside.
Over at the desks Annie was clapping and bouncing slightly with joy seeing that Harry finally did it, the silver something having vanished as the lid went down.
Harry was bent over panting, a big smile on his face for finally doing it.
"Well done Harry," Lupin said, giving him some chocolate "Well done. Be sure to have all of it, or Madam Pomfery will have my head."
"Can't we do it again, just one more?" Harry asked, smiling and standing up again.
"I think you've had enough for the night bucko," Bunny said, letting himself be known.
Harry, Annie, and Lupin turned to the disguised Guardians and watched as they came in, Bunny placing his doctor's bag on the desk.
"That's where did you run off to then?" Harry asked Jack as he sat in a chair as told to by Bunny.
"I went off after Baby Tooth," Jack said sitting on a desk helping himself to what was left of the cookies. "She was the one who went to find Bunny, she thinks there's something wrong with your head."
"My head?" Harry asked, confused, looking at Jack while Bunny tested the boy's pulse and blood pressure, muggle style.
"Yeah, something about how you want to carry on practising when you keep getting knocked out every time," Jack said with a smile.
"You're letting Annie and Elisa do it," Harry said, frowning.
"Them beasts don't have the same effect on those girls than they do you and Jack," Bunny said, now listening to Harry's chest with a stethoscope "I'll check Annie over too, if it will make you happy. Now close your eyes and tip your head back a bit."
Frowning a little, but doing as he was told, Harry tipped his head back and felt Bunny place a hand onto his forehead, and felt a wave of warm magic flow through him, reaching every part of him, well every part except where his scar was on his forehead. But it was so quick that he didn't register it.
"Baby was right," Bunny said, nodding and looking into his bag. "There is something bad with the kid's head."
"When you say 'bad'," Annie began feeling a little uneasy "How bad exactly are you saying?"
"Well, it's not 'good' but as far as I can tell it's not doing anything too bad to Harry, as if it's sleeping," he said, shrugging in thought.
"So I can carry on with these Dementor lessons?" Harry asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
"I suppose... But if you start feeling weak, tired, extra, extra... then be truthful and take a break! You understand kiddo?" Bunny asked, packing up his things.
Beaming Harry nodded and turned to Lupin with wide pleading eyes.
"Not tonight Harry," the teacher said, a small smile on his face. "I think you've had enough for tonight, just remember that memory and how it felt, and we will carry on next week."
Frowning Harry nodded and waiting for Annie's 'medical exam' to be done thought out loud:
"Professor, if you knew my dad you must have known Sirius Black too right?"
"What are you saying?" Lupin asked sharply, turning to face the boys. "What gives you that idea?"
"Nothing – I just know that they were friends at Hogwarts too..." Harry said in answer.
Lupin's face relaxed.
"Yes, I knew him," he said shortly after "Or at least I thought I did."
"Is that thought, that you didn't think one of your friends was a backstabbing liar who would sell out another one of your friends, and then blow up a street of Muggles seemingly killing another friend?" Jack asked in his innocent voice, with an 'innocent' look on his face.
"How do you..." Lupin asked, a hint of amazement and fear in his voice.
"Well what else can it be, sir?" Jack asked smiling "You basically said you were friends with Harry's dad, and he was friends with Sirius, and I have a feeling you hand another in your little group of mischief makers right?"
Slowly Lupin nodded "And I say 'Seemingly' because an exploding spell as bad as one that will blow up a whole street, killing 12 Muggles, and cracking the ground open to the sewers below, should have left more than just a finger right?"
There was silence for a moment, as Lupin thought this over before Bunny said:
"Done, Annie's perfectly fine, but here's some extra chocolate just in case."
"Thanks Bunny!" Annie said, smiling and accepting it.
"Right..." Lupin said in an unsure voice "Well you three better get off to bed, it is getting late."
Nodding the students, Bunny with his bag, Tooth and Baby Tooth all left and started heading for Gryffindor Tower.
Bunny and Tooth saw to it that the students got there. They said goodbye, and went in after giving Sir Cadogan the password.
Harry went over to one of the armchairs and sat down, and Annie, feeling tired, went straight to bed.
Jack was about to go to bed too, when he saw how not happy Harry was.
"Everything ok Harry?" he asked, coming over.
"These last few weeks... Or when I get close to a Dementor," Harry said slowly gripping the bar of chocolate a little more. "These have been the only times I've ever heard my parents since I was a baby, and it's right before Voldemort kills them.
'But if I want to hear more of their voices, then I won't ever be able to produce a real Patronus, will I?" Harry asked, looking up at Jack. "And the reason why I don't have them is because Sirius Black, who was their friend. And he betrayed them. HE WAS THEIR FRIEND!" he said loudly gripping the chocolate so hard it broke it.
'And because of him, I don't have ANY memories of them. Only what people tell me and all that is, is that I look like my dad but have my mum's eyes. That's it! Nothing more than that. What about their favourite colours? Or their hobbies? The subjects they were best at? What they did after Hogwarts? Their personalities? I would even go for something boring if it just meant I had more info about them!" Harry finished, panting a little, tears in the corners of his eyes. "Because of Black, I have nothing!"
Waiting for Harry to stop, Jack came over, lifted his hand so the side of it was facing the boy, and brought it down onto Harry's head.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"To knock some sense into you of course," Jack said looking a little stern, before he started pacing. "Ok. Yes you don't have parents. Yes until you met the Weasley's and the Guardians you didn't have anybody who loved you as one of their own. Yes, people who knew your parent's could be a bit clearer when they tell you they knew your parents. But just remember Harry James Potter..." Jack paused his pacing and turned to look the boy in the eye "You only had to live what 10 – 12 years of not being seen, not being heard, not being loved, being abused by your so-called 'Family', not really knowing who or what you are. Whereas I, Jack Frost, Prince of Winter, Spirit, Invisible to all but those who believe in me, had to put up with it, and no memories of my former life AT ALL for 300 YEARS!"
Now Jack was panting, his eyes flashing their supposed-to-be icy-blue telling Harry that Jack was really upset.
Both boys were so focused on each other they didn't hear or notice the dormitory doors opening and their fellow Gryffindor's quietly coming down the stairs to see what all the shouting was about.
"You might be feeling like you are the only one who is hated by everybody. That the world and the gods only see you as a plaything they poke and squeeze to cause you problems when they need some entertainment, but remember... There are always, ALWAYS be those who are worse off than you."
Panting some more, and looking up to see the other Gryffindor's not wanting to deal with them, Jack turned around and hands-clenched-into-fists, trying to calm down a little, marched himself out of the portrait hole, leaving the whole of Gryffindor Tower speechless.
After a minute or two one of the girls asked:
"Shouldn't someone go after him?"
"No," Fred said from where he was next to George "Give him time to cool down, and ask him questions in the morning."
"But what if he's found out of bed? What if we lose points because of it?" asked a nervous sounding first year.
"Jack's a Hide-and-Seek Master," George said firmly trying to get everyone to calm down, Baby Tooth on his shoulder as she flew over to him when they came down the stairs "Unless he wants to be found, he's almost never seen. He'll be fine."
With that slowly everyone went back up to bed, leaving Harry in the armchair thinking over what Jack had just said.
