It was the next morning when Ron got a red envelope which started smoking at the corners as soon as Errol, crash-landed into a box of cereal.
"What's that?" Jack asked not seeing a letter burn before it was lit on fire before.
"Mum sent him a howler," Fred said who was beside him. "Probably because Perce sent her a letter about how much a dick he's been to Hermione."
"Ok but what exactly is a –" Annie began to ask before Mrs Weasley's voice rang out.
"RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU TREAT HERMIONE THE WAY YOU HAVE BEEN ACTING! I THOUGHT YOUR FATHER AND I RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THIS! I AM ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTED! IF I HEAR YOU BE LIKE THIS TO HER OR ANYONE ELSE AGAIN, I WILL COME UP TO THAT SCHOOL AND BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME!" the letter then turned to Jack. "Oh and Jack Frost, dear, please continue to teach Ronald the right way to behave to become a proper wizard. Arthur and I give you our permission to do whatever you like so long as it's not curses or death."
Jack smiled and saluted the envelope, earning some eye-rolls from other students, which then turned back to Ron, before ripping itself up and falling onto the table before him.
"And that, was a howler." George said answering Annie's question, as the room slowly got back to enjoying breakfast.
"Told ya it's was because of how he was treating Hermione," Fred said smiling.
"No one denied that, because we all had a feeling something like that would happen," Elisa said coming over, rubbing her ear a little trying to get some hearing back.
"You knew what went on in the Gryffindor common room last night?" Lee Jordan, who was sitting next to the twins, asked.
"Not exactly, but it's been pretty obvious ..." she said mocking their previous Defence teacher "How... I'm trying to think of the right word that's age appropriate for the first and second years who are in hearing distance," she said frowning a little.
"Shit, crap, idiot, Mieda (Spanish for Shit), cow pat, disgrace to his family, dick head?" Jack suggested a list of words. "All of the above?"
"Yeah, well his, behaviour, towards Hermione hasn't been that nice, and for those who notice things around here, it's been as clear as day though a new window."
After a bit of helping herself to crumpets, she asked "So, what happened in the Gryffindor common room last night?"
"This little fairy here," Jack said pointing to Baby Tooth, who was innocently sipping some orange juice out of a thimble, with his spoon. "Tried to give these two and Percy" he nodded to the Twins "A second sister."
"Ok... I know he's been 'all of the above' Baby, but and I can't believe I'm asking this, would he really deserve that?" Elisa asked blushing a little when she understood what Jack meant.
"In the little fairy's defence," Lee spoke up "Ron basically said that all girls were nothing but trouble and only caused damage by alerting teachers of 'dangerous' things."
"Let's forget about Ron, and last night," Jack said changing the subject, turning to Elisa. "Since I can't go to the village, shall we depart, and meet up in the entrance hall, or leave together once we've finished breakfast and head off on our 'day out'?"
"That depends how nice you want me to look," Elisa said smiling.
Jack was about to answer when Baby tweeted up at Elisa, making Jack blush a little.
"Oooh... what did she say Jack?" Fred asked grinning.
"Nothing. She said nothing," Jack said stuffing a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"I don't believe that, do you brother of mine?" George asked Fred who shook his head.
"Not at all, so, little fairy let's see... did you say Jack wouldn't mind how Elisa looked?" Fred asked loving how Jack was reacting to all of this.
Baby nodded.
"Now why would she say, that Jack would say that?" George asked, placing his hand to his chin in a thinking pose. "Could it be that he sees her as the most – "
He as cut off when Jack elbowed him hard in the side, sending a glare at him.
"Well it's not as if we can't all see it Jack," Lee said laughing at his reaction as the Weasley Twin was rubbing his side.
"If my Dragon Master friend's friends come over, I really hope they don't meet you two," Jack said grumpily before getting up and holding out his hand to Elisa, helping her up.
"You - *sniff* You don't want us to meet your other friends?" Fred asked faking being hurt. "Well ok. We won't let you in on the pranks we're planning for our birthday then."
"To be fair, brother, he's not allowed to have anything to do with it anyway." George reminded him.
Rolling his eyes, Jack just left the table, Elisa and Baby Tooth with him.
Once they were in the entrance hall, Elisa spoke up.
"Jack, I don't mind if you think I'm pretty." she said gently, her thumb rubbing against his knuckles gently.
"It's not that," Jack said sighing. "Well it is that, but it's – It's the way they all reacted to it. The teasing, the mocking, and the asking of questions that have nothing to do with them!" he said stomping the ground and letting out a flash of frost over the floor.
"They're Fred and George Weasley, that's what they do," Elisa said calmly. "They're make-fun-of-others parasites. They go after those who are easy targets and tease them until they're satisfied. And they way you reacted to what Baby said, set off their invisible antenna and labelled you as their next target."
"Heh, I used to be one of those." Jack said smiling weakly as they start to climb the stairs. "And I thought it was an unwritten rule for us to not target each other like that."
"Well if it's unwritten, how would you know?" Elisa asked gently. "So Mr 'I-was-a-parasite': What made you change?"
"Oh I'm still one of those creatures, I just don't do it as much anymore, because more people can see me now meaning I can't get away with as much as I used to." Jack said his hands now behind his head as he walked. "My favourite target was Bunny, when he was big old grump before I got to know him that one Easter I was, er... brought into my current family."
"But, isn't Bunny still a grump?" Elisa asked in a confused voice.
"Well, yeah, but he's backed off a bit, so I did too." Jack explained. "But we're not here to spend all day talking about my tragic past and Peter Cotton-Tail," he said quickly. "We are here, to spend the day together on our not-going-out date. Right?"
"Um... right," Elisa said sure she heard the name Jack just said before somewhere before – maybe in a fairy tale somewhere.
Together the three of them make it to the Room of Requirement and went inside to spend the morning in there.
After that they would go and have a walk around the grounds, and maybe see Hagrid.
And finally they would return to the Great Hall for dinner.
