That's when everything went wrong. Bella stumbled backwards out of my reach. Her eyes widened as she fell off the cliff backwards.

"No! Bella!" I ran to the edge and looked into the water below me. Crap we were high up. I couldn't see her. All I saw was the water below me. I knew Jacob would get to her but I wanted to help. I had to help in case Victoria was in the water.

So I did something stupid. I jumped off of the cliff to try and rescue Bella.

Cold. That is what engulfed me as soon as I hit the water. The water was freezing. I same up to the surface to get a breath of air.

I was breathing heavily as I looked around me frantically. "Bella!" I looked all around me and I wasn't getting a response.

I took in a breath of air before submerging myself in the water. I looked around me trying to see a glimpse of her. I was almost out of air when I saw her hand floating in the water.

I quickly went back up to the surface before returning back into the water. I swam as fast as I could to get to her.

Bella's eyes fluttered when I got to her. I grabbed her hand and tried to pull the both of us back to the surface.

I struggled to get both of us up. With Bella's weight and the waves it was almost impossible. I managed to get us to the surface before we were hit with a wave.

The wave sent us both spinning in the water. I lost my grip on Bella. I looked around me and swam back to Bella.

I managed to grab her arm before looking up. That's when I saw red hair. It was like fire was underwater. I jerked back in fright. No, my nightmare couldn't be coming true.

It was then that I slammed my head on the rocky surface of the cliff. My vision instantly became fuzzy. I tried to move but I couldn't. It was then that I started to give up. I couldn't fight my way out of the water anymore.

Guilt quickly overcame me. I left my family and here I was about to die in a watery grave. I started to lose consciousness when I faintly felt something tugging on my arm.

It was only when I broke the surface that I started to gain my senses back. I started to cough and gasp for breath. I was alive but how?

I turned my head to see a very tan hand pulling my arm towards the beach. Once we got to the beach, the hands of my rescuer let me go.

I crawled on the sand away from the water. I kept coughing and looked up to see who rescued me.

Standing before me was the La Push hot head. Who looked very angry.

"Why in the world is a Cullen doing on our land." Crap. I had to calm Paul down before he phased.

"Calm down Paul. I just came here to see Bella."

"Well there she is. Now you can go back to those vamps of yours."

I looked over to see Bella sitting up with Jacob's help. Oh thank goodness she's ok. I got up to go over towards her but stumbled back from exhaustion. Paul caught me before I could hit the ground.

"Geez. Take it easy. You almost drowned." I managed to gain my balance before stepping away from Paul.

"Bella, are you ok?" Bella looked up at me and immediately scrambled up to hug me. I hug her again when we are roughly pulled apart from each other.

"Hey!" I look to see that Jacob freaking Black is holding Bella back while Paul has his arm wrapped around me.

"Paul let me go," I tell him. Jacob is staring at me and I can feel Paul's glare.

"No way. Vamp chick is on our lands. This is breaking the treaty." I manage to get away from him before whirling around to face him.

"Last time I checked, the treaty applied to vampires. As you can tell, I am a human. So technically I'm not breaking the treaty." Paul narrows his eyes.

"You live with them."

"They adopted me wolfy!" I then hear a laugh behind me.

I turn to see Jacob laughing. "Wolfy, that's funny."

"No its not," grumbled Paul.

I huffed. "Fine. I didn't mean to intrude. I just needed to see Bella and make sure that she was ok. I'll be going now." I step away from Paul.

"No!" I turn to see Bella running towards me. She grabs onto my arms. "Sophie you just got here. Please don't leave!" Her eyes are pleading for me to stay. Us being gone had really affected her.

"Bella, I can't stay in La Push. The hot head over here has clearly made it known that I'm not welcome." I heard Paul growling but I chose to ignore it.

"Fine. You can come with me to my house then. You tried to save me when I fell off that cliff. Your wet and cold. Please just stay with me at my house." I stay silent for a minute.

I nodded my head. "Ok."

"Wait a minute," interjects Paul.

"No way are you going to Bella's house!" Great now Jacob is getting angry.

"You don't have to like me Jacob. Yes I am a Cullen but I'm human. So it shouldn't be a problem for you." I can tell that Jacob is about to yell at me.

"Enough!" I turn to see that Sam had run out of the forest. Sam gives me a hard stare. "Take her to Bella's house. She's not a vampire so the treaty has not been broken."

"What! Sam are you..." Paul looks like he is about to explode.

"Enough Paul! I don't have time for this. I have to go to the hospital." Paul grumbles out a fine and then Sam leaves us.

"Wait, what's going on?" I look at Bella. This is going to be a shock for her. Harry Clearwater just died from a heart attack.

"Bella, Harry Clearwater and old Quil both just died from a heart attack." Wait what?

It was only Harry that had died in the book. How in the world did Quil's grandfather die too? He was supposed to be alive.

What does this mean for the plot?
