One whole day has gone by since the revelation of my pregnancy. It's only been a day but I was bigger than I was yesterday. I looked like I was 20 weeks along. Bella looked to be about 18 weeks along. It was looking like my bump was growing at a faster rate than Bella's. Probably because I was never supposed to have a child. Alex and Edward have hardly spoken to me and Bella. They looked to be in agony when they saw us and would leave the room. I've cried so many times because I needed my boyfriend to be at my side for this. I needed him and he wasn't here for me. Rosalie has been a great caretaker for me and Bella.
It's been hard to eat food because of the babies. I turn at the sound of Bella heaving. She's getting worse. I need to tell them what we need to do.
I look at Carlisle as he tends to me and Bella. He sighs. "They are growing faster. The two of you are getting worse. Nothing penetrates the embryonic sac and you aren't able to keep any food down. Sophie. You know how to help with this, don't you? What do we do?" My whole family is in the living room as me and Bella sit on the couch together. I nod. Time to start helping
"Yes. I do. We need..." I stop midsentence at the sound of our doorbell ringing. Everyone looks confused as they stare in it's direction. They are probably wondering who could be at the door. I know who is at the door.
I stare at Edward as he looks at me, hard. "You didn't," he hisses. He can probably hear their thoughts and figured out what happened. I called them behind their backs.
"I did. Sorry," I say while shrugging my shoulder. It's the only thing that I can reply. Even though I am not completely sorry. I needed help.
"Sophie, who did you call?" asks Bella.
I look into Alex's eyes and he seems to register what I am thinking. His eyes widen. "No. Seriously! You had to bring them into this!" I huff at his exclamation.
"I needed someone." Is the only thing that I say as Carlisle walks down the stairs and to the front door. I hear muffled voices.
"Where is she?" Comes a bell like voice. That was Kate.
"Kate. I'm up here," I call out to her.
"Sophie!" I ignore the protests from my family and wait until Kate appears with Tanya trailing right behind her. Eleazer and Carmen stand behind them.
Rosalie uses that moment to stand in front of us. She growls when Kate gets closer. "That's far enough," Rosalie tells her.
"What's you're problem Rosalie? Sophie called us for help. What's going on?"
"Rose. It's ok. They won't hurt us. I called them for a reason." Rose stares at Kate and Tanya before moving aside to reveal both me and Bella. Tanya scrunches her eyebrows in confusion.
"You two look terrible. What's going on? You sounded urgent on the phone." I sigh at Tanya's question and nod my head. Time to rip the band-aid off.
"Rose. Help me up, please?" I start to stand up and wobble a little. Rosalie places her hand on my arm and steady's me; to prevent me from falling over. The blanket I was using falls to the floor. My shirt is raised up, which shows my growing bump.
I hear gasps from my cousins. Tanya and Kate both take a step back. "Impossible," whispers Tanya.
"Whose is it?" questions Kate while looking at my stomach.
Alex growls at her. "Mine!" Eleazer flashes to Alex's side and places a hand on his shoulder so he won't attack anyone. He continues to growl at Kate.
Kate narrows her eyes. "Do not get snappy with me Alexander. I am just surprised. I didn't think this was even possible."
"All of you stop it. Please." I let out a groan and slump into Rose's side. This baby was moving a mile a minute. I could practically feel it growing inside me.
"Easy," says Rose. She helps to place me right back beside Bella. I look at my family and try to smile through the pain.
"Is Bella like this also?" questions Carmen.
"Yes. Me and Edward came back here once we found out," answers Bella.
"I only found out I was pregnant yesterday," I add.
"Yesterday! But you look..." I nod at Tanya's statement.
"I look like I'm 20 weeks along. Probably with get to 22 and 23 weeks in a couple of days."
"They are growing at an enormously fast rate. Nothing penetrates the embryonic sac. We don't even know what the genders are. Sophie is looking worse because she was never supposed to even have children." Carlisle starts to explain the situation to them.
"What exactly do you need from us, Sophie? You said that you needed our help?" asks Kate. I nod.
I have to tell them everything. "Alex and Edward want us to get rid of the babies. Everyone is choosing sides. I don't want to go through this alone."
"They want to what!" Kate practically screeches in anger. I knew she would be on my side.
"Look at her Kate! It's killing her," argues Alex.
"Say it Alex. Baby. It's just a little baby!" exclaims Kate.
"Possibly," retorts Jasper.
"I can tell why Sophie called us. She needs help. I'm standing behind Sophie. If she wants to keep the baby, then she will," finalizes Kate.
I look over at Tanya who is nodding her head. "I agree. We've helped raise Sophie, but I can tell how much she wants this. It's a baby. Half human and half vampire. I'm with Sophie too. We will help in any way possible." I smile at her. I was pretty positive Tanya would be on my side as well.
I look over at Eleazer and Carmen. Carmen sighs. "I hate to see you looking like this. You mean so much to me. I'm not completely on board but I will help you with whatever you need." I nod. Good enough. Eleazer remains silent.
"I can't help but agree with Alex. I'm sorry. I will help with anything you need but I don't agree with this." Well, Alex has another person on his side. I can't say that I'm surprised though. The two of them are really close.
I look at the four of them and pause. Wait. Four? "Where's Irina?" Kate and Tanya stiffens.
"She didn't come. She's still upset about the wedding. Wanted to be alone." My eyes widen. No.
I groan in frustration. "No. She needed to come! This isn't good." I start to run my hands through my hair.
"Why was it so important that Irina needed to come?" asks Jasper.
I sigh. I look at the Denali clan. They needed to know. They needed to know everything. "The four of you might want to sit down. I have something that I need to tell you."
For the next hour or so, I go into detail about how I am from another universe. I explain how this is a book series where I am from. My cousins were patient and kind as I recounted every event that has happened until this point.
I just get to the pregnancy and take a pause. All of them are lost in thought.
"Woah," says Kate. I crack a smile.
"So this whole time, you knew everything about us and what would happen in the future?" questions Tanya.
I nod. "Yes. I'm sorry that I never told you about it. I just didn't know how to. I only told my family about it a few months ago."
Tanya nods. "This is a lot to take in. So, all of us are in this book series except for you?"
I shake my head and wince at a stabbing pain in my side. "No. Alex doesn't exist in the books. I didn't see him coming at all. I guess that the angel who put me here wanted to give me someone to love." I take a peek at Alex and see him looking conflicted. He has his arms crossed in front of his chest while he looks pained. I feel bad that he has to go through this. I never thought that I would ever have a child. I was never supposed to.
"So, we are currently in the final book of this series?" Questions Carmen.
"Yes. We are at the part where Bella is pregnant. Some of the events are changing."
"Changing? What has changed?" asks Eleazer.
"For one, I'm pregnant. I don't even exist in the books. It's only Bella who is pregnant. Two, all of you aren't here helping us get through this. You only show up in the later half of the book. Which is a main reason why I wanted Irina here."
"Why is it so important for her to be here?" asks Tanya.
"Irina comes later in the book to apologize to Edward and Bella about the wedding. At this point, Bella has already given birth and is a vampire. Irina sees their child and assumes it to be an immortal child." A hush overcomes the living room and everyone is silent with widen eyes. I think they are starting to put the pieces together.
"What's an immortal child?" I look at Bella as she asks this question.
"An immortal child is a child that has been turned into a vampire," states Edward. "They have been deemed dangerous because they are frozen at the age they were turned."
"A temper tantrum from them could slaughter a whole village," adds Jasper. "They don't know right from wrong because they are stuck as children, forever."
"They were a threat to us because it would expose the truth that we exist. Villagers could then try to destroy all of us," says Emmett. "The Volturi deemed them illegal because they would expose us."
"If you ever create an immortal child, then the child and creator would both be destroyed. It's a death sentence to create one," whispers Kate.
"Our mother, our creator for Kate, Irina, and myself, created an immortal child. The Volturi found out about it and killed the both of them. We witnessed it. We were only spared because we had no knowledge that she created one. We were all devastated. Irina was affected the most. From then on, she promised to report any immortal child if she ever sees one."
I nod. "Which is why she needs to be here. So she knows that these unborn children are not immortal. They are half human and half vampire. She assumes the child is immortal and reports it to the Volturi." Kate and Tanya gasp. "The Volturi comes to destroy my family. Believing that it is indeed an immortal child. The whole guard and even the wives show up."
I look over at Edward and continue to speak. "You gather witnesses to vouch that your baby is not an immortal child. It almost starts a fight."
"What happens to Irina," asks Kate. I pause and stare at her. Should I tell them? Kate sighs. "Please Sophie. Just tell us."
"Ok. Aro sees all of the vampires the Cullen's have gathered. Many of whom have extraordinary powers. He wants them on his guard. He sees that their child is not immortal but needs to provoke a fight. He kills Irina in front of you. He tries to start a fight. It almost works too. Luckily people were able to intervene. Everyone survives. Based on evidence, he pardons everyone and they all go back to Italy. The only casualty is Irina."
Kate looks like she wants to cry. Tanya flings her phone out and races out of the room. Probably to call Irina. We needed to prevent the discovery of Renesmee.
"You said that Bella survives this?" I look over at Edward. I give him a small smile.
"Yes, she does. Barely though. She almost dies but that's because you didn't know how to help her. I'm here to help you so that Bella won't become as bad as it is in the books."
Edward seems to relax a little. "Ok, what do we do?"
Time to tell them. "For one, you all need to make sure to hunt and feed a lot. Might be a good idea if you store animal blood. Jacob comes over to check on Bella and discovers that she's pregnant. Sam doesn't like it because it's unnatural. They will try to kill you so that they can destroy Bella and her baby. They block the house off so that you can't leave. If you leave to go hunt, then they will attack and kill you. He will try to starve you out. Make sure that there is plenty of blood stored. You will need a lot."
I look over and notice Edward looking grave. "Their not going to touch her," he hisses. I nod in agreement.
"So all of us will take turns to go hunt today. We will make sure to store blood also," says Carlisle.
I peek and look at Alex. He hasn't said a word this whole time. I can't read his facial expression but by his body language, I can safely bet that he is upset.
"What else, Sophie? What about feeding you and Bella?" asks Carlisle.
"Well, you're not going to like this part. As you probably figured, we aren't able to keep food down." I tried to eat along with Bella, but we just kept throwing it up.
I sigh and then continue. "The babies don't want human food. They are hungry. They are half vampire. They need nutrients from another source."
"Blood," says Rosalie. Her eyes widen. "They need blood."
"Their thirsty," adds Bella. I nod and smile.
"They won't want animal blood. It needs to be human blood." Carlisle straightens his stance and makes his way to the corner of the room.
He opens a cabinet that reveals a small refrigerator. He opens it to reveal blood bags. "I've stored blood bags here in case of an emergency. I'm glad that I thought ahead."
"Please put it in a Styrofoam cup. I don't really want to look at it when I'm drinking it," I tell him. Bella nods in agreement.
I silently watch as Edward helps Carlisle prepare two cups of blood. I notice that most of my family has stopped breathing. They hunted recently but it was a temptation for them. Alex was standing in the doorway, trying to stand as far away from it as possible.
My heart ached because I wanted him to be with me. Movement snaps me out of my thoughts.
I take the cup from Carlisle's outstretched hand. I smile weakly as I feel a pain going through my side.
I turn my head to notice Bella has started to drink the blood through the straw attached to the lid. She pauses and looks up at Carlisle and Edward. "It's good," she states.
I smile in triumph. I watch as Carlisle starts to check her pulse. "You're pulse is getting stronger. I can already start to see a change in your coloring."
"It's working," says Esme. Bella smiles and continues to drink.
It's actually working. I smile and put the straw into my mouth.
I was going to try my hardest to keep the both of us alive. This is just one step in the right direction. I start drinking and I am able to drink some of it before I pause. Something isn't right. Something doesn't feel right.
I don't have time to react before I drop the cup and barely make it to the trash can that is on the floor by my feet. All of my hopes of surviving this goes out the window as I start throwing up the blood.
So. Thoughts? I have plans for Sophie during her pregnancy. What are your thoughts on her not being able to keep the blood down? I'm excited for the next couple of chapters. Big things are about to happen. Until next time!
