"ok, we will watch luffy's memories and there is sort of a lot." Joanne said, almost everyone was talking and wondering what luffy's fights would be like or what happened during 2 years. Most of the heroes are wondering about impel down and wondered how different it is from Tartarus, "we will also be watching a one piece movie in the end, and yes we will watch luffy's biggest fights against shiki and Z."
The scene starts with drums playing around as mirio jumps on an island with windmills, "wow! This place is amazing!"
"Right? This is where I live!" Luffy laughs upside down the windmill.
"So... Who are you again?"
"I'm monkey D. Luffy! The pirate king!"
"Pirate? Like people who raid and pillage?"
"Nope! I don't like those type of pirates."
"Type? There are types?"
"Yup! Those who are bad pirates who are jerks and those who just want to be free and go on adventures!"
"Just that? But what about ordinary neutral people?"
"Oh, the marines protect them. But some are jerks and want power or money or a dragon."
"Cool! Dragons are real here!"
"Yeah! My world is so cool! Your world is cool too but you all rely on your quirks too much."
"Well, it's always been like that."
"But what about those who don't have quirks? Why aren't there any heroes with no quirks?"
The blonde blinked, "well, I've never met anyone quirkless or a quirkless hero... I don't know how to feel about it."
"Well, my grandpa is quirkless but very strong. He would become a hero in your world since his a marine in mine."
"He sounds awesome."
"No! He's down right terrifying!" Many shouted.
The pirate laughs, "your not going to compliment him anymore."
"What does that mean?" Mirio asked and the scene starts with 5 yr old luffy walking with his grandpa, ranting about how he's going to make luffy a strong marine until the boy isn't listening and followed a hercules beetle. Earning a light knock on the head.
Almost everyone winced.
"Ow! That hurt!" The brat hold his head.
"Listen luffy! I need to prepare you!" Garp said.
"Prepare?"
"Yes, prepare you to become a strong marine!"
"Don't wanna."
"Eh!? You brat!"
"I wanna go back and play."
This made the marine hero's eyes soften, "luffy, your different from the kids. Just last week you picked a fight with 13 yr old and broke his arm."
"Wow, even when he was a kid he's strong." Kyoka said.
"But why pick a fight with a 13 yr old?" Iida asked.
"He deserved it! He kicked a kitten who didn't even do anything to him! He's a jerky face!" Luffy said.
"The reason is valid! The 13 yr old deserves it!" Aizawa said petting goose.
"But you didn't had to break his arm!" Garp scolded.
"I didn't mean to!" Luffy whined.
"That's why were training so you don't accidentally hurt anyone else, ok we are far enough." He's grandson looked confused then a cheeky monkey appeared, "good, your here. Now luffy, training starts now." Garp is actually gentle and tried to teach his grandson, he knows how to throw a punch but when the monkey ain't holding back he's no match. He whined and complained a lot, he then threw a tantrum.
"Why do I get the feeling this is where Garp finally snaps?" All might asked.
He predicted right, the marine hero has had enough and punch luffy hard. He was going to discipline the boy and stop his whining, by having him spend the entire weekend in the jungle.
"Wait, wait, so he's going to leave him in the jungle with no supplies?" Denki asked.
"Isn't this extreme?" Mezo asked.
"Garp is teaching luffy discipline and he trust he's grandson will survive." Joanne answered.
"How is he so sure!? This is child endangerment." Ryukyu stated.
'you don't know the half of it...' "garp is an orphan, he practically raised himself. He raised dragon but he knows about the will of D." Everyone was quiet and remembered how Joanne explained the mystery of that initial.
The scene skips to luffy emerging from the forest with cuts and bruises.
"At least he's still alive." Fatgum breath a sigh of relief.
Luffy was still complaining about surviving the jungle, Garp just laughed it off because he survived and that's what matters more. He took him to a clearing to fight monkeys.
"Wait, he's not going to clean his wounds?" Recovery girl asked.
"Garp wants him to be durable against pain, he's preparing him for the world." Joanne said.
Luffy didn't complain as he started to fight… he was slow and clumsy compared to the monkeys, but he did alright dodging them at first. But soon, he was hit from all sides until he was forced to do a face-plant and skidded to a stop at his grandfather's feet. The monkey behind him was making noises and they looked to see him in a boxing stance, throwing out punches as if to challenge him again.
"He's not even complaining about the training." Shoto said.
"He only complains if he gets hungry, the jungle help only a little." Joanne said.
"This still considers child abuse." Momo pointed out.
"Well you can't actually arrest Garp when his the marine hero! No matter how many people pointed out how rough he is, he never listens. It's practically genetics in the family, stubborn bastards who don't always listen."
Despite this training to become a marine by his grandpa, luffy made up his mind to become a pirate. "Why a pirate though?" Mirio asked.
"Because pirates are free and can do anything they want! Sure there are jerks who hurt people but not me! Becoming the king of pirates means to be the most freest person of all!" Luffy laughs.
"I don't think that's a word." Present Mic sweatdrop at the freest word.
"I wonder why Garp doesn't give positive benefits in becoming a marine, he isn't encouraging luffy." Vlad said.
"He tried that but it still doesn't work, because he doesn't listen." Joanne said.
The scene changes to a clean luffy and differently dressed Garp near a deep ravine in the ground.
"Wait a minute--!" Many realized this.
Garp was there arguing with Luffy, who was dragging his feet, trying to prevent his grandfather from taking him somewhere. He latched on to a giant rock they were passing and held on for dear life as Garp pulled on his arm.
Toru noticed something, "wait! Luffy didn't get his devil fruit powers yet?"
"No, this is before." Joanne said.
"I got a very bad feeling about this..." All might said.
Luffy didn't want to train but Garp ignored that and called him weak, he held his grandson up by his shirt over the fissure and looked down. "What is this place?" Luffy asked nervously, his feet dangling over the hole.
"This is known as the Bottomless Ravine, though it isn't technically bottomless… apparently, if you fall in, it would take about three days for you to hit bottom so you have plenty of time to try and get out."
"WAIT WHAT?!" And let him go.
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HIM!!!???" Almost everyone shouted.
"Yeah, that's murder and I'm very surprised luffy survived that." Aizawa said.
"I have no idea how he survive but fans theorized he got a hold onto something and started to climb up as quickly as possible." Joanne said.
"It's still no excuse to throw him in a deep ravine!" Ibara is very angry.
The scene changes to a dirty and covered with bruises luffy, he ran into the town and bee lined to the party bar. "MAKINO!" he shouted and lunged at her, terror on his face as he hung onto her skirt. She was sweeping outside the bar.
"Luffy, what--?" she asked as she heard a familiar booming laugh coming up the road.
"Hide meeeeeeeeee!" he begged.
"I guess my alternate self knows fear." Mirio joked.
Almost everyone gave him a deadpan look, "pls stop."
Makino blinked before she took luffy's hand and led him inside the tavern, good thing it's a slow day. They got to the bar and she told him to duck down and be quite until she got rid of Garp, so he sat on the floor. Luffy sat on the floor, holding a chubby finger to his lips as if to shush her.
It was kinda adorable.
Suddenly, the two doors burst open and Garp came in. "Is he in here?!" The marine hero shouted but only Makino doing the cleaning..
"Training hard, Garp?" She asked politely.
"That brat… I never had this problem with Ace." He sighed and sat down at one of the tables and pulled out a bag of rice crackers and taking a big bite.
"What is it now?"
"Makino, did Luffy come here? I go to the trouble of gathering all those balloons, and he insists on running and hiding from training."
Flashback from water 7 and how Garp explained luffy's training, "I finally figured out luffy's endless will to live..." Sanji said, flashback ends.
"Ooohhh..." Almost everyone muttered and felt real sorry for him.
"I guess I have a fear for Garp..." Mirio said.
"Balloons for what?" Makino asked.
"Flight training." Garp answered, "I'm trying to figure out what else I can do since he's such a horrible swimmer!"
"Flight training for what!? Skypia!?" Denki shouted.
"I don't know, I heard some marines can travel to the sea of sky but not very often. That route is like a shortcut." Vivi said.
"I CAN TOO SWIM!" Luffy yelled, before clamping his hands over his mouth.
"Can't even shut his mouth to save his own life..." Gran torino said.
"It's genetics, Garp told everyone who's luffy's father. He kept the secret for so long..." Joanne sighed.
"So their nothing but a family of dumbass..." Katsuki's eye twitch.
"AHAH!" Garp called out, getting up to lean over the bar to grab him, but Luffy was faster as he clambered out of the way by a hair and ran over to Makino to hide behind her.
"NOOOOOOO!" he cried, hiding from Garp. "HE'S GONNA KILL ME! I 'DUN WANNA DIEEEEEEEE!"
"LUFFY GET BACK HERE!" The marine hero yelled, cracking his knuckles together, a sadistic grin on his face.
"Who here doesn't want Garp to reincarnate in our world?" Nezu raised his paw and everyone raised their hands.
"That man shouldn't be allowed near children ever." Ryukyu said.
Makino then held up her hands and cried out, "Garp, didn't you say that you had to go somewhere today? Apparently, Marine Headquarters need you back for a very important job?"
"I do, but luffy spent all day running from his training." He berated, "it's lucky we got any training down at all this week."
"He's so harsh but luffy is a kid, who wants to play..." Present Mic said.
"Children won't play with him because he's a lot stronger than them, when Garp was luffy's age the same thing happened. He was too strong that they avoided him, so Garp trained all his life." Joanne explained.
"Sounds kinda lonely." Sato said.
"What did you make him do this time?" Makino asked as Luffy didn't dare come out from behind her.
"He left me down a giant hole for 2 days." The small boy whispered to her.
"So it was 2 days..." Yuga said.
"Yeah, I understand this is training but it looks like not enough." Power loader said.
"So how have things been here?" Garp asked in a casual manner, now addressing Makino.
"Quiet and peaceful as always." She smiled, "though I can't help but think that's because your ship is docked at the harbor."
"Even pirates are scared of him and we don't blame them." Setsuna said.
"I'll be returning to HQ tonight," Garp told the bar owner as she looked up, "So I'll be leaving this trouble-maker with you again." they exchanged more words until he left and Makino took luffy upstairs.
"Makino is giving luffy a bath." Joanne announced, "to respect their privacy, we'll listen from the outside."
The scene changes to outside the bathroom by the door, "Makino?" Luffy's voice asked as the sound of water splashed. "Why does grandpa want me to be a marine so badly?"
This got everyone thinking, "why did Garp become a marine?" Tetsutetsu asked.
"East blue is well known to be the weakest sea, it's a target for pirates. Garp wanted to prove his home isn't that weak and protect it, sadly those assign in east blue are either curropted marines or lazy." Joanne said.
"It's also to protect luffy, he is after all dragon's son." Anita said.
"That is a good question," Makino said, "well, he wants you to be able to help people and to protect them from pirates."
"But I wanna be a pirate, does that make me bad?"
"No." She laughed good-naturedly, "I don't think you can be bad even if you tried, luffy. But there are some really bad pirates in the world, so that's why we have the marines do their best to protect us from them. But I'm sure there are still some good pirates in the world."
'so she knows that their world isn't black or white.' izuku thought.
"I wanna be a good pirate!" Luffy exclaimed, splashing some water and laughing. "I wanna go on adventures and see the world! Makino do you think I can? Huh?"
His caretaker giggled, "yes, I'm sure you will someday. But I think it will be best not to tell Garp that."
"I'm going to be a pirate even if Grandpa says no!"
"I know you're not the type to of person who gives up on their dreams easily, I'm sure that you'll be out there on the seas someday. But if you did, what would you do?"
"I'd ah… I'd…" he's voice trailed off, "I don't know yet. I know I want to be a pirate but…?"
"So he just wants to be a pirate but has no clue after." Kendo said.
"Before he kept spouting on being the pirate king." Monoma said.
"Well, he's a kid. When you were his age did you thought what kind of hero you wanted to be?" Stella asked and many had a thoughtful look.
"To be honest, all might was my only inspiration to become a hero. To save everyone with a smile." Izuku said.
"Same for me, a hero who always wins." Katsuki said.
Most of the audience murmured how they wanted to be heroes because it was either cool or wanted to help people, Hawks thought how endeavor inspired him to become a hero. 'i haven't thought about becoming a hero after I escaped the lab...' nezu thought to himself and look at his tea.
"It's ok, you don't need to decide what you want yet. You've got a long time to figure that out before you leave. But until you do, this'll be our secret ok?" Makino said and the scene changes to the 2 sleeping peacefully in bed.
"That's really sweet, but where are your parents?" Mirio asked.
"I never knew I had any parents when I was a kid, it was always grandpa. He did told me my dad's the most wanted man alive." Luffy said.
"We all know luffy's father is a revolutionary the world government hates but what about his mother?" Shoto asked.
"Luffy's mother is never mentioned and even I don't have any information." Joanne said.
The next day, a pirate ship docked in their port. Luffy ran to see it, a pirate ship and sees a girl who is the daughter of red shanks.
"Who's that!?" Pony's eyes blinked rapidly, everyone looked at the screen then to Shoto. Who could not believe this girl has the same hair color as him.
"That's Uta, the daughter of shanks. She's ace's age." Joanne smiled but there's sadness in her eyes.
The shank pirates meet luffy and went to Makino's party bar, luffy becomes friends with them and talks about their adventures. They set up the stage and uta sings...
Everyone was in awe, "so... Beautiful..." Hado said close to tears, but mirio looks at diamond and saw her sad smile. She wasn't the only one, Joanne and her friends all held sad smiles. Mirio, Hawks, Aizawa, izuku and katsuki noticed this.
The song is short but she received an applause, then luffy sang.
"My ears!" Kyoka use her new canceling headphones.
"He is terrible!" Sir nighteye covered his ears.
"I wish I can block out my own ears." Mezo said.
"Luffy is tone deaf!" Present Mic said.
Later, the 2 competed against each other. From races, to spars and drawings.
The audience couldn't help but smile, "still can't believe shanks has a kid, I wonder who he married?" Midnight asked.
"You'll find out..." Joanne held a strain smile, something was up.
The shank pirates stayed for a few days, the night before they leave. Luffy and uta had an eating competition, she sort of cheated.
"That's cheating!" Tenya shouted.
"Tenya, their pirates. They cheat if necessary." Stella said, some of the audience found it funny.
Uta decided to sing a farewell song, half through it. She fell asleep, turns out she ate a devil fruit. The song fruit, sadly it's a lullaby to her and she can only access in the dream world.
Toru gasped, "similar to princess Luna!"
"Yes, but there's more to this devil fruit." Joanne said.
"More?" Bondo asked.
"It will be revealed in a special movie."
A week later, the shank pirates came back. Without uta... "Where's uta?" Mirio asked.
"She stayed on an island to become a idol, I didn't see her until many years later in the new world." Luffy said with a frown.
"W-wh-what happened to her?" Tamaki asked.
"She did become an idol, she held her 1st and last concert in the new world." Joanne said.
"Ok, that's too ominous." Mina said.
The next day, luffy decided to cheer them up...
"THAT IDIOT!!!" Many shouted.
"What was he thinking!?" Recovery girl shouted.
"He wasn't thinking at all..." Joanne and friends said in unison.
"You know, I thought he got that scar from a battle. But this, this is just a very stupid idea." Kamakiri exclaimed in frustration.
"What a let down..." Komori sighed.
The scene changes to the party bar, the pirates were teasing luffy. Then some bandits walked in wanting saki, but the pirates drank all of the bar's saki so she won't get another shipment until the next day. Shanks was trying not to start a fight and offered the last bottle of saki, the bandit leader looked insulated and brag about his wanted poster.
"I wonder why Garp hasn't arrested his sorry ass." Gran torino growled at this guy's disrespect.
"Does this remind you of something?" Momo asked and everyone remembered zoro's memories in Jaya.
The bandit leader was trying to provoke shanks to fight but the pirate captain found it useless to just fight over saki, after the bandits left. Shank's crew laughed at him as they are proud he didn't let them provoke him over such a small thing, but luffy didn't see it that way. "I know how you feel, Luffy," Shanks said calmly, looking up at him from the floor, "But all he did was spill sake on me, it's not worth getting upset over."
"True, fighting over something as trivial as an object is not that important." Aizawa said.
"But what if it's important to that person?" Tenya asked.
"Iida, what's more valuable; an item that can always be replaced and remembered or a life? Objects can be replaced or remembered by but you only have 1 life, that cannot be fix or repaired."
Luffy was so upset, he ate a fruit without knowing. It was too late, before shanks knew it, luffy ate the fruit. He tried to make him spit it out but he's now a devil fruit user, "LUFFY THAT WAS A DEVIL FRUIT! THE DEVIL FRUITS ARE THE TREASURES OF THE SEA! IF YOU EAT IT YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO SWIM FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE BUT THE ONE YOU ATE ALSO TURNS YOUR BODY TO RUBBER!"
Everyone sighed and sweatdrop.
A few days later, the whole village knows luffy ate a devil fruit. The kids don't want to go near a freak but the parents scolded them, they still respect luffy because of his grandpa. Mayor wood slap didn't approve of luffy's dream, he didn't care and just ignored him.
"It seems like luffy is respected because of his grandfather." All might said.
"When Garp returned to his town with luffy as a baby, they helped raised him for garp's sake. But nobody knows why he's still an idiot... It was like being an idiot is part of his family's genetic code." Joanne sighed.
The party bar is empty, "The Captain's been away for awhile now," Makino said, breaking the silence, "You miss them don't you, Luffy?"
"Not a bit." He said stubbornly, "I still haven't forgiven them for the thing with the bandits yet." He finished his drink before he leaned over the bar, the glass still in his teeth as he went on, "I overestimated Shanks and the others, I thought they were the coolest pirates. What a letdown."
"Really?" She held a knowing smile, "I think being able to laugh after what happened is much cooler."
"Makino, you just don't get it," he said persistently, "There are times where a man must fight!"
"True, but what's there to fight? Saki? It can always get restock, your dreams? People will mock you but you gotta stand up and show them their words don't effect you, ya gotta fight for what's right!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Yeah, shanks is fighting for his crew and friends so don't count him out luffy!" Tetsutetsu agreed.
"I'm actually thankful my quirk is useful to stop petty fights." Fatgum grin.
Then the bandits came and demanded saki, which Makino quickly served them. They started to bad mouth shanks and his crew that he got angry and shouted at them, Makino tried to stop him.
"It's nice you still defended them but you can't fight grown men! Sometimes I think luffy wants trouble to look for him..." Cementoss sighed.
"This is very bad." Shoda said knowing what bullies will do.
The bandit leader didn't like how luffy is defending shanks and his crew while insulting them, Makino didn't want luffy to get in trouble but the bandit didn't care. "Makino!" Luffy cried, now furious as he kicked harder than ever. "You can't do something like that to her! You're going to pay for that!" he tried to use his new powers but he never practiced.
"You got powers and you can't even use them properly..." Snipe sighed.
"I don't think he trained properly, he just got them." Ectoplasm sighed.
"A different type of human," the bandit said with an evil grin. "He must be worth good money if we sell him." They are outside the bar.
"Damn it!" Luffy cursed again as he fought to get the bandit off him, "I won't forgive you for this!"
"Why so upset?" the lead bandit asked smugly. "We were just enjoying a nice drink and you had to come along and ruin it."
"Yes, you did!" He shouted while the boot is on his face, "apologize right now!" The bandits just laughed at him.
"He's practically helpless." Rin said.
"He shouldn't have opened his mouth in the 1st place, their dangerous and luffy is a child. He doesn't know how to fight back.." sen sighd.
"Maybe you shouldn't have got angry with him, you couldn't even fight back. Standing up for your friends is ok but your completely helpless, you can't even fight back." Mirio said.
"Yeah, it was pretty stupid... But I don't regret standing up for shanks and his crew." Luffy said.
"So carefree..." Almost everyone muttered.
Makino returned with the mayor, "I don't know what Luffy did, and I have no intention to fight with you because of it! But enough!" He then fell to his knees and begged, "I'll even pay you if you want; just please, let the boy go."
"He cares for luffy..." Shihai said.
"That and Garp will go on a rampage finding out his grandson caused a problem." Joanne pointed out.
The bandit leader decided not to, luffy insulted him. So he decided to kill luffy, Makino and the mayor got worried until... "I was wondering why the bar was empty on such a fine day." Shanks and his crew are back.
"Thank goodness shanks came back just in time!" Manga said.
Makino looked relieved to see the captain, Shanks grinned brightly as he came forward. "If it isn't the bandits from the other day," he said before turning his teasing grin on Luffy, "What's the matter, Luffy? I thought you said that you have a punch like a pistol?"
"Is it really the best time to tease luffy?" Koda signed.
"Trust in shanks, he'll help." Joanne said.
"Shut up!" Luffy snarled from where he was.
"Pirate." The bandit leader said smugly, "why are you still here? I suggest you leave and continue cleaning if you don't want to get hurt." However, shanks slowly walks towards them. So the bandit leader pointed his sword at him, "I don't know why your here, but leave before I kill you."
The captain ignored him and kept walking towards them, suddenly 1 of the bandits held a cocky grin. "Didn't you just hear what he said?" he raised a gun and pointed it straight at Shanks's head. "Don't take another step or I'll blow your brains out." He cocked the gun, and the other bandits laughed. Shanks did stop here, but he didn't look worried. He was still smiling as if this was all his idea.
"Since you drew your pistol I assume that your willing to use it?" The red head asked casually.
"Huh?" the bandit asked stupidly. "What are talking about?"
"I mean, are you willing to risk your life?" He calmly asked pointing to the gun in his face, "these aren't toys to scare people after all, you know?"
Snipe whistles, "true that, true to that." Shanks won his respect.
Then a gunshot rang through the air, the bandit with the gun was on the ground while the fat pirate named Lucky Roo was now standing there with the smoking gun—still eating a slab of meat on his knife. "So fast!" Mirio said.
"Or shanks gave a good distraction, while they were focused on him. They forgot his crew is loyal to shanks." Sir nighteye said.
The bandits are shocked at this and even called the pirates out for fighting dirty, "Dirty?" a tall man with slick, black hair tied in a ponytail and carrying a long rifle that was tucked into his yellow sash. "Who did you think you were dealing with here? We never claimed to be Saints."
"He's also right, while their methods are brutal. They are pirates, they fight however they want. And those are bandits, they do the same!" All might pointed out.
"We're pirates," Shanks proclaimed proudly.
"Shut up!" The bandit leader shouted, "this is none of your business!"
The good-natured look on Shank's face just seemed to melt off to be replaced with great anger. "Listen up, bandits," he said in warning. "You can spill food me. You can pour drinks on me. Hell, you can even spit at me. I'll just laugh it off." But then his face grew furious as he said, "But… no matter what the reasons… I WON'T FORGIVE THOSE WHO HURT MY FRIENDS! Now for the last time, let the lad go!"
Luffy looked in awe, "so cool." Mirio grinned.
"For a pirate, they have their own morals." Nezu drank his tea.
But just then, the leader of the bandits laughed horribly as he asked, "Won't forgive you say? You bunch of pirates who float around on the sea want to challenge bandits?! What a joke! Kill them all men!"
They underestimated shanks crew, his 1st mate took down the bandits easy. "Don't flatter yourselves, bandits." Benn said pointing his rifle at them as he lit another cigarette, "if you want to fight us, you better bring a warship with you."
"Sounds like a challenge." Jozu said.
The bandit leader stared at his defeated men, he wasn't acting so cool anymore. In fact, he grew pale and was now backing away, "Ah! Wait a minute! The kid's the one who started this!"
"What? Where's your balls now ya loser!" Katsuki mocked.
Shanks smirked. "Aren't you a wanted man?" he taunted him.
"He's more of a joke now." Setsuna smirked.
Looking desperate, the bandit threw something down on the ground; they didn't have long to wonder what it was for as soon as it hit the ground, it exploded to created a giant cloud of smoke. "A smoke bomb!?" Shanks shouted, the bandit took luffy with him.
"He shouldn't have left his guard down, bandits are known to play dirty tricks." Aizawa said.
The scene changes to the sea, not to far from the island and focused on a small row boat where the bandit leader and luffy are. The small child is sitting as far away as possible from him at the other end, the bandit leader laughed darkly. "We got away," he said smiling evilly at Luffy. "They will never think to look for a bandit at sea, I only brought you as a hostage. But now there's no more use for you, I've always killed those who irritated me… you will be the 57th."
Everyone threw insults at the guy and hoped shanks finds them faster.
"Not if you die first!" Luffy yelled at him.
The bandit chuckled, smirking as he walked over and kicked him into the sea, laughing out, "Good riddance!" They can only see luffy struggling to keep himself afloat as the bandit laughed, that was until a sea king appeared behind him.
"A sea king!?" Many shouted.
"What's it doing there!?" Izuku asked.
"It decided to find an island and marked it's territory, Garp knows about it but forced it to protect the windmill village from weak pirates." Joanne said, "it stays in that area alone."
"So it's almost like a guard dog." Reiko said.
Just then, the Sea King opened its mouth wide as it closed its jaws around the boat, swallowing the bandit whole. It finally noticed luffy and charged towards him, Luffy's terrified scream broke through the air.
"LUFFY!!!" Almost everyone shouted.
It happened so fast, the screen was only focused on shanks and not the surroundings. He had luffy clinging onto his chest and glaring coldly at the sea king, "get lost." The Sea King stared for a moment before it quickly dove beneath the waves and disappeared.
"That must've been conqueror's haki." Ryukyu said in awe.
Luffy looked up at Shanks, tears gathering in his eyes. "S-Shanks…"
"Thanks, luffy." The captain said with a big grin, "Makino told us what happened, thanks for sticking up for us." He paused as the young child started crying, "come on, there's no need to cry- your a man now."
"B-But… Shanks… your arm!" tears overflowing, "YOUR ARM!" the screen zoom out and it was true, he's missing a bloody arm.
It was kinda horrifying, "w-wh-what happened!?" All might asked in shock.
"How did that happened!?" Yui put a hand over her mouth.
"Luffy… it's just an arm, I've got another one. I'm just glad that you're alright." Shanks reassures the boy.
"The Sea King was going to devourer luffy if shanks didn't sacrifice he's arm to save him..." Joanne explained.
"So, in order to save his life, he had to lose his arm..." Monoma winced.
The scene changes to the docks, it's been a few days and the shanks pirates are leaving. They're not coming back anytime soon, many people came to see him off. Thankful for saving Luffy's life, "Yep," Shanks said brightly, tilting the straw hat back so that he could see the waves better. "It's been a nice extended vacation, but we've stayed long enough. It's about time that we move on." He looked at him and asked, "Sad to see us go?"
"Yeah." The small child confessed, "but I made up my mind, I'm not going to ask to take me with you. I decided that I'm gonna become a pirate all on my own."
The captain childishly stuck his tongue out at him and teased, "Heh, I wouldn't take you even if you begged me! You don't have what it takes to be a pirate!"
While most of the audience find it funny, many questioned why shanks acts like this but they slowly understand.
Luffy blinked before his eyes narrowed in anger and yelled out, "YES I DO!" At his voice, all of the other pirates on the dock turned to watch Luffy. "One day I'll have a stronger crew than yours! And then I'll find the world's greatest treasure! You hear me? Someday I'm gonna be KING OF THE PIRATES!"
"So that is basically his catchphrase." Present Mic laughed a little.
"He's inspiration was all thanks to shanks." Izuku muttered, just like himself and kacchan were inspired by all might.
Shanks listened to Luffy's proclamation before he smiled, as if he was taking this as a challenge. "Oh?" he teased. "So you're going to get a crew that's better than all of us? Well then," and slowly, he reached up to the straw hat and took it off so that he could place it onto Luffy's. "This hat is my gift to you." Luffy stood still as a statue as Shanks said to him quietly, "This hat is an important treasure to me, so you have to promise me that you'll return it in good condition." Shanks pulled away. "And only after you become a great pirate. That'll be our promise, Luffy."
"And that's why that hat is so important to luffy..." Shoto said.
"Yes, and it turns out. Roger used to own that straw hat before giving it to shanks." Joanne smiled and everyone looked at her in shock.
"What!?"
"Seriously!?"
"That hat right there used to be on the head of Gol D. Roger!?"
"This is some kind of fate!"
Izuku is completely speechless, that straw hat used to be worn by the pirate king. It wasn't just passing a torch but passing a crown, like one for all. His eyes widen remembering how luffy just smiled back in logia town on the execution platform, he remembered that Roger died with a smile. 'this has to be more than destiny or fate... just like one for all...' he thought, inside his head. The vestiges thought the same thing.
They watched the shanks pirates leave, luffy holds onto the hat with tears in his eyes.
"This is just the beginning, the next video... Is luffy's brothers." Joanne announced, everyone remembered ace and Sabo.
"This means we'll watch how luffy met them." Momo said.
"Ace is really polite and hot!" Mina giggled.
"And Sabo is really cool!" Toru said, both few noticed Joanne and her friends held frowns on their faces.
