Grin

Early Season three, before "Wedding Bells."

"Well, Tony," Angela said. "These oysters are truly amazing. Probably your best yet." She flashed a grin at her housekeeper, much bigger than the ones Paul was used to his neighbor bestowing to anyone.

Everyone else sitting at the dining room table agreed with nods. It had been surprising for some of the guests when Angela made it clear her housekeeper would join them in the dining room, although Paul and Tony had been friends for over a year, so he embraced it easily.

But the rest of the group appeared to accept him quickly, considering how friendly the man was. Choruses of "it's great, Tony," circled the room.

Not surprisingly, the man puffed out his chest in exaggerated pride. But his eyes focused directly on Angela. "Really?" he said, giving her a grin identical to the one she'd given him.

"Really," Angela said, her grin somehow growing.

Angela's friend, Isobel, who also worked with Paul at the hospital, nudged him with her foot. "Do you see what I do?" she said into Paul's ear, her breath tickling his neck in a delightful way. But her eyes pointed at Tony and Angela.

He nodded. Those type of grins always meant more than friendship. Then Paul focused all his attention on Isobel, a similar grin on his face.
