"Woohoo! The best party in history is just about to start! C'mon, you guys! We can't miss a second of the groove!" Kim jumped into the living room dressed in a short black skirt, a long sleeve purple V-neck blouse and black leggings with her hair tied in pigtails. Having a huge smile on her face, she twirled around before going to the mirror while she put on makeup on her face humming while her Purugly and Delcatty are looking at each other with confusion at their trainer's enthusiasm.

"You are…very excited about this." She heard Leaf's voice, turning to see Leaf sitting down on the sofa and brushing her hair, her outfit of choice being a red and white blouse, a pair of ripped jeans and a pair of sneakers.

"Hell yeah! It's my fifth time going to the party." The bluenette hopped on the couch which made Cleffy grumble before scooting closer to Leaf who sighed. "Huh? And I'll be able to join you for this 'fabled' party you keep telling me about. Also, how's your dad?"

"You'd be surprised. Papa's walking around and doing training exercises like he didn't get shot a week ago. At least Mama is making him rest his body before he goes overboard." Kim said as she patted her Purugly and Delcatty. She let out a sigh as she leaned back into the couch. "You know...I thought he almost died."

"I know. I'm glad he's ok and alive."

"Me too, Leaf. Me too. But the next time I come across that bastard, I'm going to destroy him."

"I mean...we have been training hard since that time. They won't even know what hit him!"

They decided to turn on the TV and wait, Kim turning to the brunette who was checking her Pokegear. "Soo where's your stud muffin? Still training?"

Leaf blushed before she started twirling her hair with her finger then looked at his room door. "He's in his room. He…said that he had some stuff to do."

As if on cue, the door opened, revealing Red who was in a dark green shirt, a black hoodie with red outlines and dark blue jeans along with a pair of shades and black high-top sneakers. Seeing him in his outfit made Leaf's heart skip a few beats before she wiped her mouth to make sure that she was not drooling. 'Is it possible to skip the party? I'm a bit parched.'

Red awkwardly waved at the two, a nervous look on his face as he went up to the two girls. "H-hi. I dunno if this works."

"Hell yeah, it works! You look like you're ready to break hearts! Like the shades. Right, Leaf?" Kim nudged the brunette who was silent, Red noticed the shell-shocked expression as she eyed him up and down before she cleared her throat and then hugged his arm. "Oh yeah…you better not cheat on me."

"U-uh. W-Wha-" She cut him off with a kiss on the cheek before she winked at him which made him blush. "D-don't make me repeat myself, hunkie-pie."

"Hunkie-pie? Is she gonna ever run out of nicknames?" Red spoke aloud, Kim shaking her head before she noticed the time which made her surprise.

"It's almost time! Time to go, lovebirds! I'm ready to be rebellious!" She dragged out Leaf and Red to the party, her smile getting bigger as they arrived in front of the Game Corner. When they entered the building, Red was surprised by the difference in the place, a disco ball in the middle along with a dance floor along with booming music in the background. "Woah, this is so cool!"

Mesmerized by the place, Red was unaware that the two girls are not with him, the boy found himself alone. He then decided to walk to the counter, ordering a drink as he greeted DJ who gave him a thumbs up. "Nice threads, man. Love the shades."

"Oh! Uhhh…thanks." Red said before he ordered a can of lemonade. After a while, he noticed a group of girls coming to him which made him feel nervous when they all sat near him.

"Oh! A new face! And a cute one at that. Where're you from, cutie?" One of them battered her eyelashes at him. Red made a gulp and calm himself before he answered. "Uhh, Lavender Town."

"Oh~ A mysterious one? I like that. Is that why you have the shades?" Another girl from the group giggled as she took off his glasses which revealed his glowing crimson eyes that frightened them. "Woah, those are some weird eyes…are those contacts?"

"They are so beautiful." One girl said while looking into his eyes in a trance which got mixed reactions from her group. "Is it a family thing? Does your mom also have red eyes?"

Red was surprised by this before he made a smile. "No. Her eyes are more orange. Dad's are brown."

As they continued with their conversation and went around the place, Red was able to enjoy himself when he found himself playing games with the girls along with a few guys in the club which did not go unnoticed by Leaf and Kim as they approached him.

"Hey, Kim! He one of yours?" One of the guys said, getting a nod from the blue haired girl before he took them to the gaming table where Red is. The two girls were surprised when they saw him facing someone in air hockey, everyone cheering the match on, Kim seeing the other person a bit frustrated. "He didn't do anything bad, did he?"

"Kim! Seriously?" Leaf elbowed her in the stomach, the guy laughing as he sat them down. "No. Bro's a riot! Dude's weird but he's a treat! Look at him!"

They saw the match escalated as both Red and other teenager started battling, both of them doing trick shots while they were playing which caused some of the girls to cheer even harder, including Leaf who was slightly blushing after Kim and DJ's teasing. Despite the match ending in his loss, Red was ecstatic as some of the people congratulated him and high-fived him before he noticed the two girls.

"That was fun! I can see why you were looking forward to this, Kim! This is cool." He smiled which made Leaf happy as they continued to have an amazing time.

"We're about to pull out the best of dancing tunes! Bring out a partner and dance your hearts out!" DJ announced through the speakers, everyone cheered as they went to the dance floor in couples. After a while of talking with some other girls, Red took a break and sat down by one of the couches, turning to see Leaf who was leaning on the edge of the seat before she turned to him with a melancholic pout on her face. "You seem to be enjoying yourself."

"Yeah, I haven't been to a lot of parties so I wanna thank you and Kim for taking me here." He leaned back on the couch, Leaf pursing her lips as she scooted close to him while playing with her hair. "You don't need to thank me. You're the one who didn't realize how awesome you are."

They both then sat in silence, Leaf's eyes glued on the dance floor as she watched everyone dancing which did not go unnoticed by Red. "Are you alright? You look surprisingly...calm."

"Yeah...I'm just a bit tired, I think. Too much has been happening the past few days. Just gonna chill for now."

"Oh, really?" Red looked to the ground and contemplated his thoughts. He then started scratching his head with a slight blush before he cleared his throat and held out his hand. "We...uhh...we never got to finish our last dance. I don't know much about dancing apart from that one classic dance we did at the SS. Anne so please don't laugh if I look like a malfunctioning robot."

To say that Leaf was surprised was an understatement. She looked at Red's hand in pure shock before lifting her gaze at him, her cheeks turned pink as she started smirking. "Red Fires. Are you asking me to dance with you?"

"I-I mean, if you want to." Red scratched his head and closed his eyes, unaware of the huge smile on Leaf's face before she tried to put on a serious expression and took his hand. "S-sure. I'll be happy to."

The two then went on the dance floor and danced, Leaf enjoyed herself as she got close to Red, a small giggle coming out of her when she saw Red's dance moves which got a groan from him. "You promised not to laugh."

"No, I didn't. I said yes to wanting to dance with you, sweetie pie." Leaf put her arms around him and guide him through the dance floor as her face got close to his. "But it's cute that you're trying to cheer me up."

While they were going around the place, Leaf and Red looked at each other, their hearts beating quickly as the two started to zone out everyone around them. It was now only them in their own world.

'Heh. You can't be covering your handsome face like that.' Leaf giggled as she pushed back his hair and adjusted his shades before she found herself going closer to him. Red took a deep breath and held Leaf's waist, the boy trying his best to make sure that his face is not his namesake as he found himself going closer to the brunette. 'Was she always this beautiful?'

"Red, I-" She paused, finding herself at a loss of words before she decided to make her actions do the talking as her lips nearly touched Red's own. Before they could continue, someone pulled Leaf away from Red, the girl finding herself within Nolan's grasp as he held her by the waist and hugged her. 'Who the fuck?'

Leaf elbowed him in stomach and moved away, seeing him clutching his gut and coughing. "What the fuck, Leaf?"

"I should be saying that! You ruined a perfectly good moment!" Leaf seethed as she cracked her knuckles while Red tried to hold her back. Nolan rubbed his stomach before he got up and dusted off himself, hearing a few chuckles in the crowd until he glared at Red. "Hey, bastard! What are you doing with my girl? You trying to take her from me?"

Red was confused and slightly frustrated, Leaf turned around and folded her arms. "I'm not an object, you fucking jerk! Also, I don't care about you. Red and I were having a great time until you showed up!"

Hearing that, Nolan was about to grab her but Red grabbed his hand, standing in front of him. Frustrated, Nolan tried to punch Red but his fist was caught which made him angry as he pulled his arm back. "Move the hell awa-"

"Do you think no one can see you?" The raven-haired teen gestured to everyone watching them, some of them uneasy which made Nolan frustrated before he approached him.

"Get the fuck out of my way. You're fucking with my girlfriend." Nolan said through gritted teeth, Red not wavering as he stood still and went in front of Leaf. "And what if I say no? What then? Because she doesn't wanna be with you."

Extremely furious, the blonde tightened his fists and went for a punch which Red stopped. Gritting his teeth in anger, he went for another which was countered with a punch to the stomach, making him fall to the ground before he looked up and coughed. "…screw…you…"

"You put this on yourself, Nolan. Just give up." Red said with a serious expression, Nolan growling angrily as he got up and swung at the raven-haired boy only to end in failure when he was pushed back, making him fall on the ground again which made everyone laugh at him. Within the crowd was Kim who was wiping a tear from her eyes, much to Leaf's surprise. "Why are you-"

"They grow up so fast. We trained that boy well." Kim smiled which made the brunette face palmed herself and let out a groan. "I'm so done. We need to get him outta here."

Meanwhile, Nolan ran towards Red, throwing multiple punches which the raven-haired trainer dodged before he grabbed his hand. Pulling away his hand, the blonde decided to go for a kick which missed before the ravenette tripped him over to the ground. Seeing his opponent looking down at him in pity, Nolan got angry before he put on a pair of knuckledusters. "You fucker! I'm gonna beat you to a pulp."

"…" Red kept silent as they both walked around each other, the crowd stepping back as some of them started to get excited for the incoming fight. "You got anything to say?"

"..." Red cracked his neck and raised his fists, the glare on his face making Nolan a bit taken aback before he became frustrated when he heard the people in the crowd cheering for Red.

"Cool! He's gonna make his fists do the talking."

"Now me personally, I wouldn't tolerate that level of disrespect."

"Get him, Shades!"

Enraged, Nolan dashed towards Red and attacked him, his strikes being evaded before the blonde resorted to kicks as he tried to push back his opponent to a wall. He then started battering the raven-haired teen with punches, the strikes being blocked until he felt a sharp pain through his arms which made him confused. 'His punches shouldn't be that hard. Why are my arms in pain?'

"You damn punk!" Nolan swung his fist hard which collided into Red's face, the teen tasting blood in his mouth along with feeling a stinging pain on his cheek. 'So there's metal in those knuckledusters…alright then…'

Seeing his crimson-eyed teen wiping the blood from his mouth, Nolan smirked then went for a swing which the ravenette ducked underneath before landing a swift blow to his cheek. Red then continued to dodge and block the blonde's punches until he countered again with a heavy blow to his opponent's stomach that made him clutch his gut, everyone wincing when they saw it.

"Damn. Your boyfriend hits hard!" A guy whispered to Leaf which made her blush before she muttered and twiddled with her fingers. "He's not…my boyfriend…yet…"

"…fuck…" Nolan tried to fight back the urge to vomit before he dashed towards Red. The black-haired teenager quickly got on his guard before the blonde went around him and threw a chair which he dodged before he received another strike to his face that made him step back.

"What's wrong? Silent because of your busted lip!" Nolan laughed as he threw a punch. The smile on his face faded when Red caught his arm, not letting go of the hand before the silent teen started to speak. "I have one thing to tell you, Nolan."

Nolan tried to go for another punch which was caught, surprised by the strength of his black-haired opponent until he noticed the glare from his red eyes. "One warning: I'm not holding back."

At that moment, Red let go of his hands, the blonde started chuckling. "You let me go. Bad mistake."

Red staying silent as he made his stance. As soon as Nolan made a swing, the raven-haired teenager took a deep breath before he went for a swing which Nolan barely blocked, wincing at the pain he felt on his arms.

'Shit! I thought my arms just broke!' The blonde shook his arms in discomfort, unable to get time to breathe when he noticed Red close to him. Nolan was about to retreat before he felt a strike to his side that made him stagger while clutching his side.

"Shit! Damn it!" The blonde cursed as he barely dodged a fist that went past his face before he went for another chair and threw it at his silent adversary. As Red dodged the chair, Nolan took the opportunity to land a sneak attack only to be hit in the face by a jab that sent him rolling on the ground.

"Woah! I felt that." Kim said while Nolan missed a few hits before receiving two strikes to the gut that made him dizzy, the assault ending with a kick that sent him into a table. Leaf was taken aback, seeing an expression on Red's face that made her have a love-struck expression. 'He's more confident now…and I absolutely love it.'

Nolan suffered from another jab to his stomach which made him have to catch his breath, glaring at Red who was walking towards him. 'This bastard. His punches…they're like…bullets…I can lose like this. Not to this punk!'

Feeling dizzy and enraged, the blonde stealthily took out a knife which someone from the crowd noticed as they shouted. "He's got a knife!"

Hearing this, everyone started panicking, some of the guys running towards Nolan, including DJ until they felt an intense pressure that pushed everyone back, Leaf thinking quickly by releasing her Zorua which used Substitute to block her against the blast. "What on earth is happening?"

"I don't know." Kim said as she took out her Mothim who used Protect. The two of them noticed a bunch of Titan troop members crashing into the place that unleashed a widespread Hypnosis that made everyone go to sleep. "Well, this is happening now."

They then saw an electric-like cage surrounded both Nolan and Red which caught the latter by surprise, the teen planning to escape until he had to evade a Flamethrower, turning to see Houndoom beside Nolan.

"Don't you even think about it, punk?" Nolan said as his Pokemon growled beside him, embers spew from his mouth. "You need to suffer for humiliating me like that! And the consequences for that is death!"

Duslops eye started glowing, Red feeling an intense presence before the ghost spoke to him. 'Master Red! There is a bomb at the bottom section of the place! In a few minutes, it will blow up!'

"Seriously?!" Red thought aloud as he dodged another attack before he pulled out his Pokegear and typed a message. "I hope she gets this."

Meanwhile, Nolan received a message on his phone, clicking his tongue before he made his move. 'I gotta get this done quick.'

"Flamethrower." Houndoom shot a blast which Red dodged before he commanded Dusclops to grab the dog and throw it into the electric cage, making Nolan have to recall the Pokemon. The blonde released Nuzleaf who unleashed out a barrage of black blades that Red evaded, a blast of flames stopping him as he come face-to-face with a black energy ball.

"Beedrill." The ravenette whispered as he threw a Pokeball, Beedrill coming out and stopping the attack before redirecting it on the cage which destroyed the move.

"Dark Pulse!" The teen turned to see a barrage of blasts from Houndoom and Nuzleaf coming towards him, he quickly decided to crouch as he made Clef come in front of him. "Metronome. Dusclops, Future Sight."

Clefairy then used Metronome while Dusclops used Future Sight, the two using their moves until the gray beacon spoke aloud. 'Now, Clef!'

Clef then stopped twinkling his fingers which made his body started to glow, punching the ground which made stone spikes come out that cancelled the attacks, Red smirking in victory as the blast went above him. "Again!"

Both Pokemon used their respective moves which this time turned into Earth Power which separated Houndoom from Nolan before he decided to attack with Nuzleaf, Red defending himself with Beedrill. Seeing his Nuzleaf's attacks knocked away, Nolan got frustrated as he continued on the attack, the attack failed when the bee used String Shot to throw the Grass-type into the blonde which made him shake in anger. "I'm tired of your shit! All I've been hearing about is you! Dread pissed off about you escaping him! You being a hero! I'm getting fucking tired of it! And you need to die!"

Red could not say anything as he focused on defending himself against Nuzleaf's attacks, his Beedrill using Poison Jab to clash with Nuzleaf's Dark Pulse.

"Nuzleaf, Leaf Blade!" The Grass type lunged forward, picking off two leaves from its head which transformed into green energy blades. As the two Pokemon battled on, Nolan silently took out his knife and dashed at the teen, swinging the weapon which grazed Red before he grabbed onto Nolan and kicked him away. "Man, that was close."

Red immediately tapped his shadow which made Dusclops quickly dash through the battlefield and smack the knife out of Nolan's hand. The blonde gritted his teeth as he made his command to Nuzleaf. "Dark Pulse! Kill them!"

Red and Beedrill noticed Nuzleaf's blades turning black as it unleashed a wave of dark energy that sent the bee flying, Red able to catch the Pokemon, barely avoiding the electric cage. "That was close! Beedrill, you ok?"

Beedrill nodded before it went on the offensive, shooting a barrage of String Shot which Nuzleaf was able to slash through until the Grass type got hit a Twineedle. Scowling at the situation, Nolan made his Pokemon retaliate with Payback, the Grass-type slamming Beedrill to the ground before it started to use Growth. Taking advantage of the situation, Red made Beedrill trap Nuzleaf in silk before the bee repeatedly struck it with Poison Jab, much to Nolan's anger.

"Nuzleaf, crush them!"

"Beedrill, Poison Jab."

The two Pokemon traded blows around the field, the bee flying around the place to avoid the blasts and the cage on Red's instructions. While both Pokemon clashed with each other, Red noticed Houndoom from his peripheral vision, dodging its Flamethrower until his eyes widened when the flames were being redirected. "Beedrill, move!"

The Bug type was hit by a huge ball of fire that exploded, the attack hitting Red in the process and sent him into the cage which electrocuted him. Seeing his opponent suffering from the electricity, Nolan smirked as he ordered his Nuzleaf to aggressively attack Beedrill while he went towards Red with a big stone in his hand. As he was about to swing the stone at Red, the raven-haired teen quickly dodged the stone before flipping him on the ground, immediately making his move. "Payback!"

Hearing her trainer's command, Beedrill endured a Dark Pulse to the face before it let out a dark glow, hitting Nuzleaf with a Payback that knocked it into the cage that started to electrocute it.

"What the hell? Fight back." Nolan shouted before he watched in disbelief as his Pokemon fainted from the electric cage. Red was about to praise Beedrill until he saw her fell to the ground. While Red quickly returned his Pokemon, Nolan gritted his teeth before he commanded Houndoom to use Flamethrower which failed when nothing came out of its mouth, much to Nolan's surprise before he saw Red's shadow moving.

"You motherfucker!" He rushed at Red who snapped his fingers, Clef punching the ground which created a stone wall that separated the two teenagers. Nolan started getting frustrated before he lifted his hand, Red clutching his stomach in pain and falling to his knees. "What the heck is happening? My gut…"

"Heh! That's what you get. Grovel on the floor." Nolan smirked as he walked towards Red, about to kick him before Red grabbed his leg which surprised the blonde. "Don't…think you're gonna…walk all over me…"

"You fucking-"

Red punched Nolan's shin, causing the blonde to retreat in pain as his Houndoom's mouth started to sprout black lightning. Not missing a beat, Red looked around the area before he saw something, tapping his Dusclops and pointed at the man at the entrance of the Game Corner. "Disable and Shadow Punch."

As his Pokemon stopped and defeated the man, Red felt the pain subside from his body before he moved out of the way of a Dark Pulse. Thinking of his options, he saw a stream of flames coming towards, Nolan laughing before he spoke. "Too bad. You're dead! You got no items with you unlike me!"

"I may be out of items but I'm not outta options. Clef! Now!" Clef did not waste time as it used Metronome which turned to Stone Edge, creating a stone wall that stopped the flames. Seeing a boulder being thrown towards him, Nolan barely avoided the boulder before he threw a ball above Red. "Crush them!"

The capsule opened, Red seeing a blinding flash of light until a huge shadow loomed over him that started descending. "Oh no-"

The creature fell on the ground, creating a huge earthquake along with a crater, Nolan watching with a huge smirk as he patted the beast. "Nice job, Snorlax! Now let's-"

Suddenly Snorlax was slowly being lifted from the ground which surprised the blonde.

"What the?" The Pokemon was then sent into the air by a blast, Nolan noticed Clef glowing beside Red. Not missing a beat, the silent teenager made a gesture, Clefairy dashed forward and unleashed a barrage of Brick Break on Snorlax before finishing it with a Mega Kick, the strikes barely doing anything to the bear which made Red click his tongue. 'This is gonna be a tough one.'

Hearing a laugh, he turned to Nolan who crossed his arms with a smile. "Hahaha! You think that did anything?! Snorlax is like a tank so give us your best shot!"

Clefairy dodged a slap from Snorlax before going for a Mega Kick that did nothing to the Pokemon. During Clef's assault, Red watched his Pokemon as Snorlax stayed in one place, oblivious of the attacks hitting its belly. 'Well, Snorlax is known for being a walking tank but this…this is just ridiculous. It has to have a limit somehow. It's like a punching bag.'

Red's eyes widened when he realized something, a huge smile appearing on his face as Clef retreated to his side of the field. "I'll take you up on that."

Nolan raised a brow at the teen's statement before Red commanded his Clefairy to drop its braces and use Brick Break on Snorlax, the blow pushing the bear back a little as its trainer took note. "Alright, so that's how strong Brick Break is, right? Now Mega Kick!"

The pink fairy jumped back and kicked the Normal-type, the attack sending it further than the first strike. "Mega Kick's a bit stronger. Let's go with Meteor Mash!"

"What part of 'Snorlax's a tank' that you don't understand?" Nolan laughed as Clef went for the move, its fist turning into a rock-like iron before the move disappeared as it punched Snorlax, much to Red's surprise. "We're still having problems with that move. Alright then-"

"The hell was that? That was a sorry excuse of a move! Well, Snorlax crush him!"

"Continuously use Brick Break, Clef! And don't hold back!" Clef nodded as it repeatedly struck Snorlax in the stomach, dodging its attacks before Red gave him another command. "Now focus and charge Meteor Mash."

Clefairy continued with its assault, its arm surging and coating itself in a rocky iron as it started meditating. "That's it. Just hold it."

Red watched the battle as the move started charging up, the teen seeing the pink fairy's arm started glowing brighter as the fight continued until he smiled.

"Go for it." Upon Red's command, Clefairy used Meteor Mash which successfully hit, hurting Snorlax before it was send the bear flying into the electric cage. Seeing that the move succeeded, Red continued with his strategy, allowing Clefairy to continuously use Brick Break while it charged Meteor Mash again. As Snorlax tried to attack again, the Fairy-type quickly dodged the strike before knocking away the hand.

'Why is his Clefairy so fast?' The blonde wandered as the pink fairy evaded another attack from Snorlax, noticing the fairy's feet glowing as it hopped around the Normal-type. 'So that's why!'

For a while, Red tested out Clefairy's moves for a whiile, its Meteor Mash slowly getting better as it continued punching its large opponent. After a few failed attempts od missed attacks, Nolan decided to make his Pokemon use Rest. Commanding his Clefairy to use Meteor Mash, Red noticed the grin on his blonde opponent's face which made him confused. 'Why is he smiling?'

"Sleep Talk." Nolan ordered, Snorlax started moving grumpily in its sleep until it slammed its arms on Clef, much to Red's surprise. Stuck under its weight, the pink fairy's hands started to glow when it lifted its opponent's limb, Nolan watched in disbelief. "How strong is that Clefairy? That should be impo-"

"Throw it."

Clef immediately threw Snorlax into the top of the electric cage that electrocuted it, the fairy preparing a Brick Break as the giant fell towards it. Nolan could not believe what he saw when his Pokemon was launched over him and towards the cage again, the fairy taking advantage of situation by pummeling Snorlax with Meteor Mash which absorbed the electricity from the cage.

"Oh shit! Snorlax, Sleep Talk again!" Nolan commanded his Pokemon but the move failed when it begun to wake up. The two combatants clashed with each other before they pushed each other back, the blonde noticed Clef was overpowering Snorlax until the two trainers announced their move.

"Metronome!"

Both Pokemon used the move, Snorlax immediately charged towards Clefairy who glowed before hovering into the air to dodge the attack. They then used Metronome again, this time Snorlax shot an Ice Beam that clashed with Clef's Flamethrower, the blast cancelling each other. On their third try of Metronome, Red smiled as Clefairy's eyes glowed intensely before it used Psychic that made the huge bear clutch its head in pain after it used Belly Drum.

"Awesome! End it with Meteor Mash!" Red voiced his move, his Pokemon punched Snorlax with all its might, sending it flying out of the cage. Nolan could not believe what he saw when his Snorlax hit the wall, falling to the ground unconscious before he turned to Red in anger. "Why?! Why can't I beat you?"

The blonde made his Houndoom shoot a Flamethrower that clashed Clef's Aura Sphere, creating an explosion that pushed the trainers back both teens circled the field. As the cage started dispersing, Nolan glared at Red before he made his Pokemon charge another blast as the battle continued. "Since you arrived with Leaf at that Pewter Museum, she's head over heels for you. I almost had her in the palm of my hand but you had to come out of whatever fucking hole you came out of and ruin everything!"

Red's eyes widened as he looked to the floor, trying to process the information. 'That long, huh? I...I couldn't believe it. But...'

Nolan gritted his teeth as he made his Houndoom shot a Dark Pulse that Red dodged before he sprinted at him and swung at the silent teen. The raven-haired teen blocked Nolan's jab, the blonde surprised by this as he tried to pull away his hand but could not as Red had a firm grip. "It's not my fault. I...never knew Leaf saw me that way for so long. I thought she was too good for me."

Nolan was able to pull his hand away, going for a kick which missed before he received a punch to the gut that made him clutch his stomach, Red grabbing him by the collar. "But despite my opinions, that's her decision and I respect them. You should respect her wishes too, Nolan."

Nolan gritted his teeth in frustration as he pulled away his arm before he made his Pokemon attack with Flamethrower, Red quickly defending himself with Dusclops' Shadow Punch. "You ruined our chances, you motherfucker!"

"I didn't ruin anything." The raven-haired teenager answered before he paused. 'If anything, I should've answered sooner and not take her feelings for granted.'

Red stayed quiet as he blocked and dodged his blonde opponent's strikes before countering with a kick, making him more furious as he started cursing. "We could've had the police on our side! Do you know how much authority we would have if they were on their side? Now we have to deal with those bastards with the 'R' on their chests! Fucking pathetic, I tell you!"

'An 'R' on their chests?' Red was shocked when he heard this before he was grabbed by an Electabuzz, the teen trying to escape its grasp before it electrocuted him. The then noticed a Titan Troop member in the corner who had a smile, Red gesturing his Clefairy towards it before he heard Nolan.

"Time to make your face black and blue! Leaf won't be able to even recognize you after I'm done." He grinned as he ruthlessly pummeled Red, unaware of the grin on the silent trainer's face before his eyes started glowing.

"Payback."

His body unleashed a dark aura, Nolan immediately felt an overwhelming pain surging through his body before he saw Red escape from Electabuzz's grasp. Red then grabbed Nolan's face, the electricity he was suffering from transferred to his blonde opponent before throwing him into Electabuzz. Suffering from the electrocution, Nolan tried to fight the electricity before he took out a Pokeball.

"K-kill him!" He released a Carracosta who immediately went for a slash which Red dodged before he noticed the Pokemon. "Wait, isn't that the Carracosta that was missing from the fossil guys a few days ago?"

"Yep! And it's the one that's gonna kill you, Hammer Arm!"

Carracosta raised its glowing arm before swinging it at Red who barely dodged the attack, almost getting hit by a Flamethrower as Clef managed to knock away the dog.

"Clef, return." He returned the fairy before he heard something behind, seeing Carracosta dashing towards him. 'Uh oh.'

Before the tortoise could hit him, one of Red's Pokeball opened and released Turtwig who took the attack, the collision creating a shockwave that sent the trainer back. As the two Pokemon knocked each other back, Carracosta's arm turn into blue blades which it used to block against the Grass-type's Razor Leaf, slashing some of the leaves as it got close to them.

"Curse!" Red voiced his move, Turtwig letting out a crimson aura from its body as its skin started hardening, Carracosta preparing for an Earthquake. Twitching from the electricity, Nolan could barely move as he glared at Red. "Damn it! Why don't you die?! You're such a damn pain in the ass! Carracosta!"

Carracosta attacked with Smack Down, the strike creating a shockwave that pushed the black-haired teen and his Pokemon before its arms turned into water blades.

"Razor Leaf." Upon Red's instruction, Turtwig used Razor Leaf that slowed down the tortoise's rampage as it attacked the duo. Dodging Carracosta's strikes, Turtwig able to push it back with Tackle while Red made Dusclops block any attacks from Houndoom. For a moment, he heard a crack before the fossil Pokemon appeared in front of him, the teen seeing its shell started glow and break as it lifted its hand.

'Shell Smash?' He thought as a blade grazed his arm. Carracosta then unleashed a barrage of strikes unto Turtwig, Red seeing his Pokemon started to bleed before he made it use Synthesis to heal itself. "It's not much but it's something. Now Curse, Turtwig."

The Pokemon gritted its teeth as it used Curse, Red braced himself against the fossil, getting its attention and dodging its attacks until he noticed the glow from the grass turtle subsided. Retreating from Carracosta's rampage, Red quickly tapped his shadow with his foot which caused hands to stop the fossil, stopping it in its tracks before he snapped his fingers.

"Razor Leaf!"

Turtwig leaped into the air and shot a Razor Leaf that battered Carracosta until it broke out of Dusclops' grasp and sprinted with a burst of speed, going for a Razor Shell which the turtle ducked underneath. Not missing a beat, Turtwig launched itself towards the fossil, landing a powerful Tackle that sent its opponent into the air. Red was about to voice his move but he was hit by a bolt of lightning that made him dizzy, the teen noticing another cage forming around him and Nolan which made him click his teeth. 'Damn it. That caught me...off...'

"Razor Leaf and don't hold back!" Red snapped his finger, him and Nolan not noticing the green aura emanating from his Turtwig before it launched a barrage of glowing leaves which hit the fossil Pokemon, sending it into the cage.

"Damn it!" Nolan shouted when he saw the fossil fell to the ground, the Pokemon completely immobile.

Red sat on the ground and let out a sigh of relief, his body twitching from the electricity when he and Nolan glared at each other. Turtwig hopped beside Red before the two of them saw Houndoom appeared in front of them and used Flamethrower, Nolan laughing until he noticed that his opponents have disappeared.

"Where did he?" The blonde turned around to see Red, on the ground, shadowy arms holding his body as he patted Turtwig's capsule which made Nolan furious.

"I don't understand why he is still alive. Why don't you die?" Nolan threw an Ultra Ball that released Toxicroak, the blonde then pointed to Red. "Kill him."

As Red was about to attack, his eyes widened when he saw Toxicroak in front of him, its fist barely missed his face. 'I can't get Aero's Pokeball in time. Oh well, plan B.'

"Grab him." Red ordered, black hands emerging from his shadow which grabbed the toad then slammed it into the ground. As Dusclops arose from the darkness, Toxicroak then went for a Mud Slap that the phantom phased through before it went for a Shadow Punch, Toxicroak speedily landing a Sucker Punch to it.

"Ha! Again!" Nolan grinned until he noticed something wrong with Dusclops as it grabbed his Pokemon then landed a heavy blow, sending the frog into the ground. The blonde could barely get the time to voice his move when the Fighting type then got pummeled by a barrage of Shadow Punch.

"Shit! Get the fuck outta there and use Sucker Punch!" Toxicroak pushed through its pain before dashing towards the ghost, landing a powerful punch to its stomach. Landing a few more strikes, Toxicroak was about to hit it with a Mud Slap until Dusclops grabbed it by its neck and dragged it along the ground, not giving it a chance to recover when it threw it into the electric cage which electrocuted it.

"Damn it! Sucker Punch the freaking ghost!" Nolan said, his Pokemon went for a punch which phased through the phantom.

'What? He should be getting hit!' The blonde was shocked by this as he saw Dusclops flew around the field, dodging Toxicroak's attacks until its eye went white that did not go unnoticed by Red. "Now Shadow Punch!"

The Fighting-type was about to attack until it got hit with an invisible blast that sent it flying, Dusclops appearing in front of it with a Shadow Punch. Toxicroak quickly recovered and landed a swift blow on the phantom before it clashed against Dusclops, about to shoot a Mud Slap but it was stopped by the opponent's Disable.

"Continue with Sucker Punch!" Nolan grinned until he noticed that the move is not working before seeing that his opponent fell to the ground which surprised Red. "Dusclops, you ok?"

'Y-yeah…just a little fatigued…but I can hold up…' Dusclops slowly got up, Red's eyes widened in realization when he saw its loopy posture. "You're poisoned."

'I'll be ok…' The phantom braced itself. Red was about to make the Pokemon attack before it was hit with another Sucker Punch, Red capitalizing on this by letting the phantom grab the toad into a head lock. 'Nice. Now-'

"Venoshock! Just take it out!"

Toxicroak used Venochock on Dusclops that made the Pokemon weaker, its grip on the Fighting-type becoming loose. Seeing this, Red looked around until he smiled, adjusting his shades.

"Payback to slam Toxicroak into the cage." Using Payback, the phantom tightened its grip and slammed it into the cage, the Pokemon getting electrocuted. Spouting commands, Nolan's eyes widened when his Pokemon succumbed to its injuries and fell to the ground which made Dusclops the victor. After a while of celebration, Dusclops fell to the ground, Red recalling it to his shadow as he patted it. "Take a rest. You did well."

Suddenly the ground started shaking, a rotating drill emerged from the floor, barely grazing Red before it descended towards him as he rolled out of the way. The Pokemon, who was an Excadrill, dashed towards Red with a Poison Jab that he ducked under, Turtwig popping out of its ball and hitting the mole with a Razor Leaf. Slashing through the leaves, Excadrill cut Red's cheek before it slammed Turtwig to the ground and then threw it into the cage, causing it to get electrocuted.

"Turtwig!" Red tried to rescue his Pokemon which ended in failure when he got tackled into the cage as well, getting electrocuted before he turned to Turtwig. Trying to recall his Pokemon, the teen felt claws piercing his arms and sides, making him lightheaded before he noticed its nails glowing purple as he tried to push back his attacker. 'I...gotta get...out of here..."

"What's wrong? You were so confident, weren't you?" Nolan laughed as he approached his raven-haired foe. Red's body felt like it was burning, the teen using all his might to push away Excadrill, gritting his teeth as he did so. 'Come on...get away!'

When Turtwig saw its trainer screaming in pain, the Pokemon tried to pull itself from the cage as it started using Razor Leaf which failed when the leaves were getting incinerated. Nolan grinned gleefully at Red's pain, unaware of the Grass-type who was starting to be enveloped in an orange aura before it was able to escape the cage and stomp the ground, causing a small earthquake that managed to knock Excadrill off balance and destroyed the electric cage.

'Huh? Alright, now.' Red quickly took advantage of the situation and pushed himself away from the mole's clutches, quickly returning his Turtwig as he decided to make a run for it. Dodging a slash from the Steel-type, the raven-haired trainer released Aerodactyl who stopped Excadrill's Poison Jab with a Steel Wing, much to Nolan's surprise before he smirked. "Hey, Pot. Can't be pointing fingers when you yourself stole a fossil."

"Well, Kettle. Unlike you, I got mine legally." Red made a rebuttal as Aerodactyl dodged an attack from Excadrill before taking to the air, all of them unaware of the triumphant expression on the Red's face. 'I've been wanting to use that line. Not that way but eh.'

"Iron Head!" Excadrill dashed forward and used an Iron Head which Aerodactyl evaded before smacking it aside with Wing Attack.

"Iron Head again!"

"Ancient Power to intercept!"

The two Pokemon clashed with each other with their respective moves before they knock each other back, Nolan watched in pure disbelief as the fossil overpowered his Pokemon until he got an idea, a smirk appearing on his face. "Attack them!"

Excadrill rushed towards one of the sleeping teenagers, Nolan smiling gleefully before he turned to Houndoom about to make it attack until he noticed something was wrong. "Where's the bastard?"

Suddenly, Excadrill got hit in the face by a spray of water that stopped it, Red hitting it in the face with a drop kick before he jumped into the air, Aerodactyl diving into the mole with an Ancient Power that knocked it into a wall. Nolan gritted his teeth as he tried to attack Red with Houndoom which was stopped a powerful gust of wind from Aerodactyl. 'What the hell? Why is that Aerodactyl so freaking strong?'

Feeling dizzy, Red picked up and ate a Lava Cookie as he moved a couple of teens away from Excadrill's attack before his Pokemon slapped it away with Wing Attack.

"I'll try to move them somewhere else. Aerodactyl, can you hold Excadrill off until I'm finished?"

'I should suffice. Make sure to replenish your strength.'

The two then share a nod before Aerodactyl block an Iron Head from Excadrill as Red took this time to finish eating his Lava Cookie and picking up a teenager over his shoulder, much to Nolan's surprise. "How are they able to? Houndoom, burn him."

Houndoom blasted a Flamethrower which Red stopped with Luxio who unleashed Discharge as a shield while he dragged DJ and one of the girls behind the counter. "Alright. You guys should be ok behind here."

Meanwhile, Aerodactyl dodged a Poison Jab from Excadrill before smacking it into the air, hitting the mole with multiple blasts and then slamming into the ground. As their battle continued, the fossil noticed Red giving it a gesture, a smile on its face before it battered its Steel type opponent with multiple wing strikes.

'Is it getting faster?' Nolan wondered as Aerodactyl's turned into a blur as it ruthlessly attacked Excadrill, overpowering him as his Pokemon was unable to hit it. As the mole got smacked with a Wing Attack, the fossil grabbed it and flew towards the entrance where Red was, Nolan surprised by this as he followed them.

"Get the hell back here!"

"Try to follow us, coward!" Red taunted him, smiling when he saw the huge scowl on Nolan's face as he saluted him. "Not like it would change anything. You'll still lose anyways."

"The fuck you say?!" Nolan chased them outside, Red making a gesture with his hands which Aerodactyl nodded before it spun into the air and slam Excadrill into the ground. Before the Steel-type could get up, the fossil unleashed a powerful Ancient Power that made rocks erupt from the ground and trap it, much to Nolan's surprise.

"What the?"

"Now Wing Attack!" Aerodactyl went on an assault, brutally smacking Excadrill with Wing Attack, Nolan tried to attack with Houndoom but it was stopped by Luxio. The blonde could only watch as Excadrill was knocked senselessly until it lost consciousness, his hands tightened into fists as he glared at Red.

"Flamethrower!"

"Discharge!"

Houndoom unleashed a Flamethrower that was stopped by Luxio's Discharge, the lynx attacking with Night Slash which collided with the canine's Iron Tail, Red reuniting with Aerodactyl as he was going to put it back in its ball.

'Are you sure about this?' Aero asked, getting a confident nod from Red. "With the situation as it is, it is possible that there may be more grunts and I need to conserve as much energy as possible."

The fossil chuckled as it pressed the capsule to make it open. 'Good. Not excellent but you're learning.'

As the Ultra Ball closed, Red noticed Houndoom being sent into a light post before it got up and shot a Dark Pulse at him. Seeing the attack coming towards him, Red snapped his fingers, Luxio appearing in front of him and stop the blast with a lightning shield. Nolan approached them with his Houndoom as he glared at Red. "You are getting on my nerves, punk. Incinerate them."

"Discharge, beam."

Houndoom unleashed a Flamethrower which clashed with Luxio's Discharge that it focused into a beam, both blasts created an explosion of fire and lightning before both Pokemon dashed forward. The Electric-type then slashed the hound multiple times with Night Slash before its opponent retaliated with a Dark Pulse.

"You ok, Lux?" Red asked, not getting a response before he turned to see Luxio a bit taken aback. As he was about to return his Pokemon, he was stopped by a Flamethrower that hit the blue lynx before it repelled the flames with Discharge.

"Throw Houndoom in the air." Sprinting forward, Luxio used Night Slash to slam Houndoom into the ground before it bit the fire hound with Thunder Fang and flung it into the air. As their Pokemon braced themselves, Red prepared himself as Nolan dashed towards him.

"Flamethrower! Incinerate him!"

"Discharge, beam!"

Both their Pokemon unleashed their respective blasts which created an intense collision between the moves that caused the flames and electricity to spread through the street, making light bulbs explodes and burning garbage and paper. As the clash continued, Red started to worry when he noticed Houndoom's Flamethrower starting to overpower Luxio's attack.

'This isn't good. Let's try another option.' He thought as he dodged Nolan's punch before grabbing his arm and throwing him over his shoulder. Red clapped his fingers and made a gesture to Luxio but was stopped when he had a kick from his opponent before the blonde tackled him to the ground, putting his arms around Red's neck and started choking him.

"You motherfucker! You think you're better than me, huh?! That you're some hotshot because you got a couple lucky punches?! Well, think again!" Nolan started grinning and laughing as he tightened his hold on Red's neck, a psychotic look on his face when he saw Houndoom pushing back against Luxio. "Well, it doesn't matter anymore. You surprised me there earlier at the party but in the end, you're still just a wi-"

Nolan got cut off when he felt a punch to his gut that made him lose his grip before Red pushed him off. "You talk too much."

"Bitch!" The blonde then tried to fight Red again, landing a few strikes before he was tackled into a light post. Turning to the match, the raven-haired teen smiled as he saw Luxio's body absorbing yellow particles in the air. 'Good. Now...'

"Lux, focus and use Lightning Claws!" Luxio's claws started to glow with electricity before it used Night Slash which started absorbing the lightning which made its claws bigger, much to Nolan's surprise as he saw the lynx's arms now enveloped with black electricity in the form of two huge claws. "What the hell?"

"Go!" The Pokemon sprinted towards the hound, swinging its arms which unleashed a blast of black electricity that wiped out the flames. Nolan tried again to attack Red, trying to punch the silent teen but it failed when he got kicked in the shin and then thrown on his back. Meanwhile, Houndoom shot a Dark Pulse which Luxio pierced through Houndoom's blast before it slashed the hound with its attack, the shockwave from the move rocketing it to the ground.

"N-no way…" Nolan watched in disbelief, his gaze falling as he realized what had happened. There was his Houndoom, unconscious and bloodied on the ground. Breathing heavily and feeling himself well up in anger, he tried to check his other Pokeballs, a gasp escaped him as his hands started shaking.

"This...bastard...beat me...?" His eyes widened, his hands balling into fists until he noticed a piece of glass on the ground, gripping the glass and ignoring the blood dripping from his palm before he dashed towards Red with a bloodthirsty and angered expression on his face.

'I can't lose this. I should never lose. I should always be the best. He should be on the ground groveling at my greatness. No one should beat me. No one...' A smile came across Nolan's face as he dashed at Red who quickly noticed him and moved out of the way.

'I can't let him live. I can't have someone who can beat me live like this.' He lashed again and swung the weapon, Red grabbing his arm and holding him by his collar and punched him in the stomach, making the shard of glass fall from his hand.

"I can't lose to you! I'm the hero! I am the lady killer! I'm the main charact-" Red punched to the face, the blow making him dizzy as he tried to keep awake. As he was about to fall, Nolan gritted his teeth weakly as he started losing consciousness, the teen felt pain when he saw Red looking down at him in pity. As his eyes were about to close, the last words Nolan heard from Red felt like knives going into his chest.

"You lost this match…hero."

Yep, another chapter done. I honestly liked this one because I can finally write Red as a badass, the relationship is going somewhere (despite Nolan's cockblock) and...yeah, that's it. Nolan and Red needed another battle, especially to show off some of Red's newer Pokemon. Also, fun fact: as of this moment, Aerodactyl is Red's highest level Pokemon if we were to go in gaming terms. Yes, that includes Milotic as well. This is why he is so tough and very experienced. Hope that you guys are doing safe for the new years. Enigma out!
