Post "Tony and Angela Get Divorced"
Angela smiled at Tony from across the table. Their relationship had recovered. And so had her heart.
When Tony had begun dating Kathleen last summer, he'd broken her heart. Even after they'd broken up, Angela didn't know how to trust him with her heart again. Or if she wanted to try. Their friendship was enough.
But apparently, her heart had healed more than she'd thought, as she remembered the passionate kiss they'd exchanged in the judge's chambers. Her face grew warm as she thought about it now. "Hey, Ang, rose is a nice color on your cheeks," Tony said with his cocky grin.
"Tony," Angela said shaking her head, but she giggled a little, as her eyes met his.
What he'd said to the judge had helped, too. Angela hated to be pushed, and to be forced into a marriage without her knowledge, even if it was to Tony, was a bit much. And was it so much to ask to wish for a proposal before she got married?
Tony understood all that, as he also wished to be married "on his terms." But best of all, Tony had implied he still dreamed of marrying her someday. She knew he'd almost said "Angela" instead of "appropriate person."
It felt good to recover what they'd lost.
