Throat
Early season four
Tony had been fighting a sore throat all weekend, but he couldn't let it get to him. Who else would cook dinner for the family? Who else would make certain Samanth spent some time at home? Who else would encourage Jonathan to be a bit more social?
Most of all, who else would give Angela the support she deserved with the Bower Agency, while at the same time not allowing her to push herself too much?
But Monday morning, Tony's throat felt raw, as if he were swallowing rocks. Yet he still got up to make breakfast.
Angela came downstairs, looking beautiful and confident as always, but her smile faded when she saw Tony. "What's wrong?"
"Throat," he croaked, as he mixed the eggs on the pan.
Angela shook her head, worry in her eyes. "Tony, you should sit down."
Tony shook his head. It wasn't that bad, and the kids needed breakfast.
"Tony, please." She sighed. She put the kettle on the back burner, while Tony shook his head. It wasn't necessary. "Tony, I can handle tea, and you're uncomfortable."
Warmth filled his soul at that. He was used to being the person who took care of everyone else, but Angela was nice enough to take care of him when necessary.
