BLUE BUSTER
Toshinori Resident- Morning
2 weeks later
Ren was sleeping on his bed with Eri sleeping right next to him. He woke up not too long and looked at the horn girl dressed in kid pajamas with her arms wrapped around him, he remembers taking the girl in a few weeks ago and learned she was 5 years old.
Ren then caressed her hair with his right hand, thinking about the abuses this girl suffered not too long ago and the emotional trauma she has as for the past time Ren spent with Eri. She had been having nightmares about the incident she when through and Ren did his best to calm her down, which helped as Eri was emotionally attached to Ren as she would have panic attacks if he stayed away from him for too long. Over time the nightmares she's been having have lessened to a degree, as she started to smile a lot more with the time she spent with both Ren and Nick.
"It's really been two weeks since coming to this world." Ren thought in wonder before thinking back to his talk two weeks ago.
Musutafu Hospital- Night
Once they arrived at the hospital, Eri was taken with some nurses but refused to leave Ren's arms for any reason. So the black-haired teen was dragged along for every check-up the doctors did, and what they found was not good.
Eri was malnourished, had a weak immune system, and her arms and legs were covered in scars. Everything made Ren's heartache for the poor little girl at the hell she obviously went through. By the end of the exams, Eri was sitting in a hospital bed with an IV tube in her arm and Ren sitting next to her.
Nick was standing next to the wall as he was watching over the two as best he could.
"Are you not hungry?" Ren asked while Eri shook her head at the food.
"I never had any of this before," Eri said.
"Well you're in for a surprise," Nick said to her.
It was just a simple rice, meat, peas, milk, and an apple.
Ren put a smile on his face as he grabbed the apple. "You need to start eating in order to get your strength back." He said as he pulled out a knife and cut the apple into 5 pieces. "And apples are real good." He said as he put the slices on her plate.
Eri looked at the little red slices for a long moment before grabbing them in her small hands. She looked at the fruit for a moment before taking a tiny bite at the end. The little girl's eyes lit up like a star.
"It's good," Eri said to him with wide eyes as she started to munch down on the apple slices. "Thank you, Red Buster."
"My real name is Ren, Eri. Don't call me Red Buster when I'm not in my suit, okay." Ren said to her.
"Okay, Ren." Eri said before happily eating another slice.
Ren and Nick gave a small laugh as they watched the little girl eat the apples like a chipmunk. Suddenly the door opened to show All Might and another man they had never seen before, making the three turn to him.
He is a tall man with short, black hair and somewhat rectangular black eyes. He's wearing a signature tan overcoat and matching hat, underneath which he wears a black suit, a green tie at his neck with matching slacks, and dress shoes.
This man was named Naomasa Tsukauchi, a detective of the Musutafu Police Force.
"Young Amamiya and Nick," All Might said with a big smile on his face before he gestured to the man next to him. "This is Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi from the Musutafu Police Force and a very good friend of mine."
Ren instantly recognized the man from the Internet as he was known on the police force as True Man, with a quirk to tell when someone was lying or not. He knew he had to be careful with what he said or else the detective would figure out he was the Red Buster.
The detective gave a small smile as he tipped his hat. "It's nice to meet you Amamiya, All Might told me that you were the one to find young Eri." Tsukauchi's face then turned slightly serious. "Can you explain the situation to us?"
Ren was quiet for a moment before he answered. "I was riding down the street on my bike when Eri ran into me with four men chasing her. The girl was scared and quickly hid behind me while the men told me to hand her over. I asked where they were taking her and they said, 'Where she belongs'." He said with a grim look on his face before remembering something. "I didn't like what they were doing and I fought against all of them, in order to protect Eri."
Now that caught the detective's attention. "You fought against all of them, by yourself?" Tsukauchi asked as his quirk flared. "True."
Ren nodded to the detective. "Yeah, I've been doing martial arts for a few years now and used it on them. After defeating all of them, All Might show up not too soon which brings us here to now." He said.
This was technically true as back in his old life Ren did study martial arts in order to defend himself.
Tsukauchi smiled at Ren as his quirk flared again. "True"
"It really was something to watch, young Amamiya really did a number on those villains." All Might said as he put a hand on Ren's shoulder. "Your still young though, we can't have villains targeting you now."
"It was nothing really," Ren said to the hero.
"Thank you for answering my questions." Tsukauchi said with a smile before looking at the little girl, making her latch onto Ren in an instant. The detective saw this and put on a small friendly smile. He walked up to the girl and crouched low. "Hello Eri, I was hoping I could ask you some questions?"
Eri looked to the detective with a hesitant look on her face before she turned to Ren. The teen gave her a smile and nodded his head, so she turned to the detective and nodded her head.
The questions did not go as everyone planned. Simple questions 'Where are you from', 'Who are your parents', and 'What's your full name'. However, for every question, Eri Earthier did have an answer. By the end of the questioning from both Eri and Ren, there was more question than before and the little girl had fallen asleep on the hospital bed.
The two adults and Ren all gather around the outside of the hospital room with Nick staying inside the room to watch over Eri. There was a grim air as they looked at each other.
"Tsukauchi, was she telling the truth?" All Might asked in a low tone, hoping the little girl lying.
The detective sighed and shook his head. "Yes, everything she said was true," Tsukauchi said.
That seemed to bring an even grimmer air. No last name, no parent's name, and the only place she could remember was in a white room and a man with a beak mask.
"But... how can a child not know anything." All Might asked, looking a little shaken.
Tsukauchi's face hardened as he rubbed his chin in thought. "It's possible she's been sheltered from the moment she was born."
"But why would a villain take a little girl for that long?" Ren asked while rubbing his face, this was turning out to be way more complicated.
Detective Tsukauchi was quiet for a long moment before he answered. "It's most likely her quirk." He said, grabbing everyone's attention. "Children more often than not inherit the quirk of their parents, earthier with it slightly changed or the exact same. It's possible a group of villains kidnapped her from a young age in order to use her quirk."
All Might's face was shadowed at the grim conclusion and Ren just felt sick to his stomach as it was one of those classic villain's attending power type of plot twist.
"What about those villains? If you question them, we might learn who is behind all of this." Ren suggested as he squeezed his hand, nearly causing it to bleed.
"That was exactly the same idea I had. I'll have to do that on my way back to the station." Tsukauchi said before his phone rang. "Excuse me for a moment." He pulled out his phone and answered it. "Hello, this is Tsukauchi." He said as he was listening to the person on the other end. "I see. I'll handle it." He said before hanging up his call. "I'm sorry, but something just came up and I have to go take care of it," Tsukauchi said to them.
"It's fine, Tsukauchi. It's part of the job after all." All Might said laughing a little.
Tsukauchi put on his hat before saying. "I'll be back to talk to you more about Eri's situation when I deal with this first. And Amamiya please try to stay out of trouble."
"I'll try, but make no promises," Ren said with a grin.
Tsukauchi then walked away, leaving All Might and Ren alone before the Sentai turned to the number one hero.
"You didn't tell him who I was did you?" Ren asked in curiosity.
"No, I didn't because like I said, I just wanted to talk to you about something important." All Might said to the teen.
Ren noticed the seriousness in the Pro's voice and decided to hear him out.
"Alright, but let's talk somewhere more private. Don't want anyone eavesdropping." Ren said.
"I agree. Let's head to the rooftop. No one should be up there at this hour." All Might suggests with the two walking up to the roof.
At the top of the roof of the hospital, All Might and Ren stood face to face with one another as the city night lights were shining in the direction of the moon shining in the sky.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Ren asked the hero.
"I've heard from my fellow Pro heroes about how you handled that villain Muscular earlier, Nice work as expected from a Hero." All Might gave Ren a thumbs up.
"I was just doing what I thought was right, and didn't want to see anyone die." Ren said to him. "Although those two heroes did make the fight easier for me since the villain was already injured."
All Might looked at him impressed and intrigued, not only did Ren mention that the Water Hoses played a huge role in defeating the villain, but also the commitment in his voice as he knew that the kid was serious about his job.
"And also, for someone with such an amazing speed quirk, you've managed to defeat the villain easily which is no small feat, I'm quite impressed." All Might said knowingly.
For a brief second, Ren raised eyebrows in confusion which All Might noticed.
"Who said I had a quirk?" Ren said to him which confused the the hero.
"What?" All Might asked in confusion.
"I hate to disappoint you, but I don't have a quirk," Ren said shocking All Might.
"But that's not possible! I saw you move super fast and the video from your fight can attest to that. It also shows you using your quirk and advanced tech gadgets to take down the villain." All Might explained.
Ren couldn't blame All Might for not being him as his Buster Power was similar to a quirk.
"Should I tell him or keep it to myself?" Ren sighed and decided to take a gamble. "What, if my power wasn't a quirk? Would you arrest me? Because, technically I'm breaking the law for vigilantism."
All Might saw this and immediately reacted.
"No! I'm not going to arrest you! I'm just here to talk to you, honest!" All Might try to convince Ren.
"Then why are you so interested in talking with me?" Ren said suspiciously.
All Might sighed, and then all of a sudden he was surrounded by smoke.
As the smoke cleared, Ren looked and was completely surprised as All Might, the once muscular Pro hero was now replaced by a thin, lanky, and sickly guy wearing a white polo shirt and slacks.
"Wait! Aren't you that some guy I saw earlier today?!" Ren asked in surprise.
"Yes, and to my surprise I didn't expect you to be a vigilante." Toshinori said to him. "My name is Yagi Toshinori the Symbol of Peace, All Might."
"I don't know what your situation is, but this looks like a serious matter. Is it really okay for you to be showing me something like this." Ren asked in surprise.
"Normally yes, seeing this isn't something I can just show people but I want to see what sort of person you are, and also I want you to answer my questions with absolute honesty," Toshinori said looking at Ren seriously as if he's examining him. "So, my first question. Have you ever considered becoming a hero?" The question would not raise any questions in today's age, with heroism being the most sought-after career. He hoped the boy was considering it instead of being a vigilante; the good he could do, the people he could inspire especially after today's incident.
This proved to be an unfortunate question, however. Ren narrowed his eyes, figuring out why the Pro-Hero was making this question.
Normally, he would lie but his gut instinct told him not to, which is a good choice because lying to All Might is considered a bad idea, Ren decided to be honest.
"Oh, you're a recruiter, aren't you?" Ren said now regarded the man like one regards a mosquito: a dreadful annoyance. "You just want to get in good with the next 'big hero' so you can profit off his showboating." He declared with contempt for the man in front of him.
Toshinori could just look at him with a blank look on his face, too stunned to speak as he did not expect that from the boy. While Toshinori tried and failed to think of something to respond to that with, Ren restarted his lecture.
"You want to know why I did what I did? Because it's my duty as a Super Sentai to protect the people of the Earth, and I like to help people when they are in need. But also..." Ren stopped mid-sentence before sighing. "I've learned and seen too many heroes taking their deeds for granted. Not all of them, but there are many that don't truly value their actions and see it as an opportunity to increase their fame and ego."
Ren thought back looking up a few heroes like the number 2 hero: Endeavor, whose arrogance and toxic personality might make him not liked much by the public.
"And I also seen many pro heroes, that only see their duty as nothing more than a nine-to-five job. They value their careers more than the people they serve, I read the news about pro-heroes saving some people and leaving very few behind to die because they see them as nothing more than collateral!" Ren said angrily, making Toshinori flinch.
Ren was upset by it, He had learned of a flood in India the other day where a hero had rescued more than 500 people and left behind more than 124 to die from drowning. The reason? The Pro hero said that his hero contract with his agency ended! Which is ridiculous, and it got a National outcry and demanded the Hero resign.
"And don't even get me started with the goddamn racism! Kids are being bullied for having different quirks that don't meet people's standards to society or don't have any power at all! There are a lot of quirkless people who are treated like shit for something they can't even help and are told they can't be heroes just because they don't have powers! But that's a load of crap because I know plenty of quirkless heroes who fought against the most dangerous of villains and saved a number of lives with their skills alone!" Ren said with shock the number one hero.
Quirkless heroes? Was that even possible? Toshinori couldn't wrap his head around the idea of quirkless heroes.
"It's been three hundred years since quirks appeared in the world and to be honest this super human society sucks. The people are forgetting All Might, many are forgetting the responsibility and commitment of what it means to be a hero. A lot of them don't value their powers and instead value their own fame. If this keeps up, what will happen if the world faces an Apocalyptic, World Ending event? Will they face the threat, or will they not because it's not within their own self-interests?" Ren asked the hero.
Ren thought back to the Super Sentai where they faced many world-ending threats and saved the day albeit almost failing.
"Which is why I'm doing all of this, Toshinori. To protect others who can't protect themselves, to inspire courage on behalf of others so they in turn can do the same, and to show everyone something that they have completely forgotten. What it means to be a true hero. For me, being a hero is in right action, to stand up for what you believe is right, even if powerful rulers and power-hungry men tell you not to because it's against their interest. And to be a hero, one must have... This." Ren touches his chest where his heart is and then touches his temple where his mind is. "And this too. That is why I want to be a hero, to do what's right, to protect others, so that people can do the same in return. To live up to the Super Sentai legacy."
Toshinori was astounded, Ren's words touched his heart again. It reminded him of his old mentor Nana Shimura, to see people smile.
Toshinori now knew that he had found him...
His successor.
But before he could make a decision, Toshinori decided to put him on a test.
"An answer worthy of a true Hero, well done! Next question." Toshinori said before asking. "If I were to give you my power, will you accept it?"
That question had caught Ren off guard, he did not expect that!
Ren knew these questions were a test, but the question laid before him was implying something.
Ren, if he was younger wouldn't even hesitate to give the answer. But he wasn't like the person in this world who thinks power is everything.
"No," Ren said in a blink tone.
"No? May I ask why?" Toshinori asked.
"While I would like nothing more than to have your powers and become an amazing hero like you. I don't think that I'm the right person for the job. Because, Reason number one: I want to prove to the world that even the quirkless can be a hero, despite being powerless. And also, the second reason is that if I were to take your quirk, the sheer power of it might be too much for someone as quirkless as I am, my body couldn't take the stress. The third and last reason is that you lacked the experience in teaching me how to better control your quirk, You are more of a show but not explain type of teacher, and if you do train me you can only teach me how to use your power rather than how to control it." Ren explained to him.
When Toshinori hears this, he is surprised but then he understands why Ren doesn't want to.
He wanted to make a statement, to prove to the world that being quirkless doesn't mean weakness, as long as one looks beyond the fame and recognition and understands what a Hero is, Ren/Red Buster understood this quite well.
And also about his quirk being too much for him is also true. Toshinori had received his quirk by his old predecessor and he had suffered a great deal of pain upon receiving it. It also got a lot worse after his encounter with All for One as he did something to his body that permanently damaged his organs and he was afraid that he might have a few years left.
And lastly, Red Buster is right about him being more of a demonstrator than a teacher. He can teach Red Buster to use his powers but he lacks more experience in teaching him how to utilize One for All to its fullest.
Ren was then surprised when Toshinori suddenly coughed blood and staggered to his knees.
"Hey, you alright?! Your not sick or anything are you?!" Ren asked kneeling down next to him.
"I'm fine I'm fine, tha-nk you for your concern-cough!" Toshinori said as he then managed to get up with Ren's help.
"I knew this was some kind of secret, but what is up with you?" Ren asked the Pro hero.
Toshinori in response sighed to himself as he lifted his shirt up which made Ren's eyes widen in pure shock at what he saw.
Toshinori revealed a gruesome scar about halfway up the left side of his chest, lines of scar tissue like a spiderweb of pavement cracks leading out from it. This made Ren vomit as this was the worst injury he's ever seen in his life.
"I know right, It's pretty nasty..." Toshinori said before lifting down his shirt. "I got this injury 5 years ago after fighting against a very powerful villain."
"Five years ago? All Might is said to be one of the strongest heroes to ever exist, and yet some villain did this to him." Ren thought as he didn't even want to imagine the villain that did this to him. "So what happened to this villain you fought?" The boy asked.
"I killed him." Toshinori said in a weak voice. "Normally heroes aren't supposed to kill villains unless it's absolutely necessary. But that villain I fought was too dangerous to be kept alive. So in order to keep the future of the world safe, I had no choice but to put him down for good."
Ren couldn't help but agree with that logic. Super Sentai does the exact same thing to dangerous creatures that threaten their world.
"But wait? If a big fight like that exactly happened, how come the Internet or news didn't say anything about it?" Ren asked before he didn't find anything like that over the Internet.
"It's because it was such a big deal that the entire incident was covered up by the Hero Public Safety Commission. Not many people know about it or my weakened state. Which is why I ask that you keep this secret to yourself." Toshinori said to him.
Ren just nodded in response to the request as he could understand how important the matter was.
"After the battle with that villain, things haven't been the same for me. My power has been growing weaker since then and I can only maintain my muscle form for only three hours a day." Toshinori said to him.
"Three hours a day? That doesn't sound like a lot of time." Ren said in concern.
"Your right, which is why I have to midsize the time I use my power so I don't burn myself out. But that's only delaying the inevitable because it's only a matter of time before my time as the Symbol of Peace is over." Toshinori said sadly before smiling. "However, you have proven yourself to be worthy..."
"Worthy of what Toshinori?" Ren asked in confusion.
"To be my successor." Toshinori smiled as he explained to the boy. "Your reasons and convictions have shown that you are worthy to inherit my power. You are right, many people are forgetting what being a hero is, and what a hero should stand for. I hope that someone might understand the true meaning of being a hero and here you are, you stood for what's right and never asked for anything in return. You have the heart of a true Hero!"
"All Might..." Ren was surprised and a bit flattered being praised.
"However, I have to confess to you. It's about my power." Toshinori said taking a deep breath before explaining. "You see, my quirk's a little bit special. People have always guessed that it's a natural super strength or a 'boost' power type. I often play it off with a joke, because the 'Symbol of Peace' has to be known as a natural-born hero. But my quirk has been passed down to me, like an Olympic torch! And now it may be your turn to inherit it. I have the ability to 'transfer power' to someone else. That's the quirk I inherited, and its name is One For All." He told the Sentai.
"That sounds incredible, but why haven't I heard of other people having your quirk, you're the strongest hero in history. Shouldn't there be a number of previous users too?" Ren asked.
"That's because the first person cultivates this power, then passes it down to another, the next one refines it and passes it down again. I am the eighth user of this power. But of course, it all depends on what you say. Will you, Ren Amamiya, accept my power as the ninth inheritor of One For All?" The Number one hero asked.
Ren looked at him for a good minute before giving his answer.
"I appreciate that you want to make me your successor Toshinori, but my answer still stands, I can't accept your offer. Because I want to prove to the world that heroes can be those without powers yet can do great things, I want to inspire those who can be heroes despite their lack of quirks. And I can't accept due to how that power might do to my body..." Ren said to him.
Toshinori sighed sadly but could understand Ren's reasons.
"...However, someone needs to be the next Symbol of Peace. And you need a successor to continue One For All's legacy, but you need the right one. If you can't find the right person in time, then I'll accept it." Ren finished.
Toshinori, who was disappointed was then now glad that while Ren didn't accept the offer immediately, that doesn't mean he'll refuse it forever.
"Then, it's a deal." Toshinori smiled as he offered his hand.
Ren smiled and offered him and shook it.
"So, I have been meaning to ask but what is this Super Sentai you keep on mentioning?" Toshinori asked as he let go of his hand.
Ren now knew this man was trustworthy enough, so he decided to trust him and tell them about his situation.
"Very well, you see..." However as Ren is about to tell him about the Super Sentai, time suddenly slows down and grinds to a halt, everything is at a standstill, except for him and Toshinori.
"What?!" An alarmed Toshinori transformed to his muscle form. "WHO'S THERE!? SHOW YOURSELF VILLAIN!"
"Relax Toshinori Yagi, I'm not here to fight you." Then in thin air, an old man with a beard, wearing a black kimono appeared suddenly beside them.
"It's you," Ren said with a bit of surprise.
All Might reacted immediately and faced the old man in a fighting stance.
"Who are you?" All Might looked at the strange elderly man seriously, readying his Quirk.
"I said I'm not going to fight you, relax." The old man said exasperated.
Ren then immediately got in front of the hero to stop him with his hands up.
"Calm down, Toshinori. It's cool, I know this guy." Ren said to him.
"You do?" All Might said in shunned.
" Yes, indeed. As to who I am, you can call me 'The Judgement God' or as many people call me 'God.' But you can call me Zero."
All Might, who was greeted by a string of surprises today this was the kicker. The 'Judgement God'! A God that judges people and talking to him made him nearly faint.
"Not even a full day in this world and you already made a name for yourself. You really are something special, Ren." Zero said to the boy with a smile.
"I just did what I could," Ren said rubbing his neck.
"As to why I'm here, is because I want to tell you this: This boy is special, he has the potential to change this world, and he can lead this world's heroes to a great future as he had done in just a few hours since coming to this world." Zero said while pointing at Ren.
All Might nodded absently, but then he noticed something. "Wait, what do you mean by coming to this world?!"
"Zero, explaining this will take too long. Just show Toshinori about my previous life, along with why I'm here and everything about the Super Sentai." Ren suggested.
Sighing at the suggestion, the judgment god approached him.
"I guess I'll have to show you then, this boy's life and the Super Sentai. Once you do, you'll understand why." The God then touched All Might's forehead.
"Wha-!?" Then memories started flooding into All Might's head.
The memories of Ren Amamiya.
He lost his parents at the age of 5.
His time living in an orphanage and started to live on his own when he came to age.
The day he died to save a little girl from being hit by a car.
His visit to the Judgement Room and how he chose to come to this universe to start a new team of Super Sentai.
All 48 of the Super Sentai teams, and every evil being and creature they fought in order to protect the Earth.
All of Ren Amamiya's memories and that of the Super Sentais are now shown to All Might like a show, each memory is like an episode.
After a while, Zero had let go of All Might's head.
"Now you understand, this boy has the potential to change the world. His resolve, his will, and his commitment will inspire not just the heroes, but humanity as well, I showed you this because I want you to support him every step of the way and to help him create a new team of Go-Busters. But also, you must guide him as his moral compass, because while he may have the powers of a Sentai, he's still young and inexperienced when it comes to being a hero, and needed someone who can be his guide. Which is why I chose you, will you accept this task I give you, All Might?" Zero asks the number one hero to support the boy.
All Might was silent as he watched those memories of Ren and the Super Sentais, seeing each memory and moment.
He was silent, but his eyes were flowing with tears.
"What a great person you are, young Amamiya..." All Might whispered. "And if you become a hero, you'll become far greater than I will ever be, Ren Amamiya." All Might then got on his knees and wept, not tears of sadness but of joy.
Ren just looked at Hero in slight embarrassment as he didn't know how to answer him.
Seeing the Super Sentai's heroic actions, their inspiration, their struggles, their losses, and their camaraderie and conviction. All Might felt his actions were small compared to all the members of the Super Sentai.
They saved the world a dozen times with the help of their fellow Sentai members, fought villains and monsters that were impossible to defeat, showed excellent teamwork, and the unwillingness to give up, and the numerous self-sacrifices they had made just to protect the earth from being destroyed.
What makes it even more impressive is that all the Super Sentai teams were just quirkless humans who used strange devices that helped them fight to keep the people of their world safe.
Now, Ren who sacrificed his own life for another has chosen to use their power to make a new team of Super Sentai to protect this world from evil.
Which made him more and more worthy to be given the power of One For All.
No, rather he's the only one worthy of One For All. There have been many a hero as great as All Might, and are potential candidates but Ren Amamiya is perhaps the only true successor.
Wiping his tears, he coughed and responded.
"All my years as the World's #1 Pro hero, The Symbol of Peace I have to keep myself away from the public from discovering my real, weak self in order to keep up morale, they don't want to see the real All Might as a weak feeble man with a fatal injury. But as time went on, as my body kept growing weaker and weaker I also forgot what I was truly fighting for, I used to smile in order to calm and give hope to people now I only smile just to hide my own shortcomings, fears and insecurities... But Red Buster." All Might shook his head, smiling brightly. "No, Ren Amamiya's deeds and acts of noble heroism had rekindled my resolve and spirit. Despite his lack of a quirk, he had gone above and beyond and always came out victorious despite the odds against him, he never gave up hope despite the odds, he's truly the embodiment of a great Hero."
"So, will you accept?" Zero asked the hero.
All Might stood straight up, his smile widened, and his eyes shone brightly with renewed resolve.
"Yes, I will accept. It would be an honor to help young Amamiya create a team of Super Sentai in this world." All Might said without hesitation.
The god smiled in response before looking at Ren.
"I'll see you again when you get a new Buster to join your team." Zero said to them.
"Got it, and thanks again for your help." Ren said thanking the god.
The god then turned his attention back to the Pro hero.
"Then, I entrust Ren Amamiya to you. Good Luck, and we'll meet again in the near future." Zero said vanishing and time started to resume once more.
This left the two alone as they felt the breeze of the night wind.
"Ren Amamiya, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship." All Might said, his smile never leaving him because he's in the presence of a hero who can become greater than him.
"Yeah, I think so too, Toshinori." Ren said to him. "Now that you know the truth, what now?"
"I think it might be best for you to join U.A. High School next year." All Might said to him making Ren a bit surprised.
"You want me to join the number one hero school in the world? You do know I'm technically a vigilante right now and I doubt they'll take in someone like me." Ren said to him.
All Might just let out a laugh as he spoke again. "You don't need to worry about that, young Amamiya. I personally know the teachers and principal there, so one word from me and you no questions asked."
Ren know All Might was famous and probably had a lot of connections in the hero community, so going to U.A. might be the best choice for him to make.
"If you say so, then I'll join U.A.," Ren said to him.
"Excellent! I'll be sure to contact Nezu soon and recommend you!" All Might happily said.
"That's great in all, but I'm more worried about Eri right now than school stuff," Ren said reminding him of a certain problem.
"Yes, young Eri. We need to figure out what to do with her." All Might said in a worried voice.
"We should probably have it back before she wakes up. I doubt Nick will be enough to keep her company." Ren said.
Then the two made their way back to the hospital.
Ren made his way back to Eri's room, seeing the little girl sleep peacefully on the hospital bed with Nick still keeping watch on her.
"Anything happened while I was gone?" Ren asked his partner.
"No, she's been sleeping peacefully since you left. I don't think she's had a decent night's sleep in a while." Nick said to him. "So what did you guys talk about?"
"I'll fill you in later, Right now I just want to be with Eri." Ren said sitting down next to her bed.
"The way she questioned the detective, I wondered what kind of monsters would do this to a little girl?" Nick asked in curiosity.
"The type that needs a serious butt-kicking, Nick," Ren said in frustration as he balled up his fist. "We're going have to do everything in our power to keep her safe."
"Right! I won't let anyone lay a finger on this girl again." Nick said as he wanted to protect the girl too.
Ren let a smile cross as he gently grabbed her shoulder. "Eri, wake up." He said softly.
The little girl's eyes fluttered open as she rubbed her eye.
"Ren?" Eri asked in a cute voice as she sat up.
"Yeah, it's me." Ren said with a smile. "Did you have a good nap?" He asked.
Eri was quiet before she nodded softly with a tiny smile before grabbing Ren's hand. Ren smiled and picked the little girl up into his lap as he was holding her gently in his arms which made her happy.
Suddenly the door opened to show All Might walking in.
"Young Amamiya," All Might said with a big smile on his face. "May I speak to you for a moment?"
Ren nodded before turning to Eri, who looked worried. "I'm going to be out for a second, but I promise I'll come back as soon as I can. Nick here will keep you company, okay." He said getting a small nod from Eri as he placed her back on the bed.
"You can count on me." Nick said to him.
Walking out of the room Ren closed the door and turned to All Might. The Pro hero looked around for a second before sighing.
"How's Eri doing?" All Might asked in a worried tone.
Ren sighed and rubbed his face. "It's not good, but it could have been a lot worse." He said before looking to the hero. "Have you heard back from Detective Tsukauchi?"
All Might nodded to the teen. "I have, We ran Eri's picture for any missing children with that name or description, and we found nothing. Whoever took her, took her while she was very young." The hero said in a grim tone.
Ren squeezed his hand and took a deep breath. "Are there any leads, what about the villain I beat?"
"They're not talking." All Might sighed. "The police have been questioning the moment they wake up, but they refuse to speak and with the villains silent, we're going to have to put Eri in witness protection."
Ren's face made a serious frown. "But... Is that the only option?" The teen couldn't help but ask. "I know that witness protection is meant to keep her safe, but she's been through a lot." He said in a concerned tone. "Moving around a lot after everything she's been through doesn't sound good for her mental health."
All Might sighed and nodded his head. "I agree with you, but we don't have a lot of options at the moment." The hero said while rubbing his face. "Which is why I come up with a suggestion."
"What kind of suggestion?" Ren asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Is that you, Nick, and Eri come live with me." All Might said with a smile making his eyes widen.
"Live with you," Ren said in surprise.
"Of course! Zero asked me to look after you and since you don't have a place to stay, it only makes sense! I have an extra bedroom in my house and she seems to trust you and Nick, plus since the villains have no idea who you are they won't come for you. Not only that I can protect both you and Eri from the villains if they do find her." The number one hero made a good point. "I'll talk to Tsukauchi and see what he thinks about it, but this might be a good idea for her." All Might said with a smile before he gave a thumbs up. "I make a promise young Amamiya, and I intend on keeping it."
The number one made some good points as he didn't have a lot of opinions as this might be the best choice for him, Nick, and Eri.
Ren smiled at the hero. "Thank you, All Might." He said before he turned around.
"It's no problem, my boy!" All Might said slapping the boy's back with a smile on his face, then walked away to call Tsukauchi.
Ren just gave a grin before he walked back into the hospital room to tell Eri and Nick the news about living with All Might.
Toshinori Resident- Morning
Present
Now Ren, Eri, and Nick are crashing at All Might's place since they didn't have anywhere else to stay and it was a safe place for Eri to be, as it would be extremely idiotic to attack the house of the number one hero.
Eri woke up yawning and rubbing his eyes her face was full of relief knowing she escaped a very terrible place. She looked around and saw Ren beside her. She was embarrassed but quickly smiled. This person saved her life, Ren is her hero and she was happy now.
"Morning, Onii-chan." Eri said with happiness.
Ren was embarrassed by the 'Onii-chan' he was flustered no one called him Onii-chan ever, since he was an only child.
"Ah, Eri just call me Ren," Ren said in slight embarrassment.
Eri took a while to think but she had this cute face when an idea popped into her head "Ren Onii-chan!" She shouted.
Again, Ren was flustered with the cutest but this was too much he glanced at Eri's smiling face and he lost all his will to resist such a cute kid. Ren patted Eri's head
"Okay, you can just call me whatever you want." Ren sighed in defeat.
"Yes, Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said happily before hugging him.
Eri got attached to Ren as Eri viewed him as a hero who saved her from those villains and a big brother.
Ren got up from his bed and turned to Eri. "Ready for today?"
She gave him a nod. "Yes, Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said.
A few minutes later, Ren was dressed in his usual clothes while Eri had on new ones that Ren bought for her with the money Zero gave him.
"Woaaah, it's pretty!" Eri was excited after wearing her new clothes. It is a blue dress with floral patterns around it. Also, a hat to hide her horn overall she looks cute in it.
Eri also wore thick gloves over her hands. She asked for them when she said she had trouble controlling her quirk sometimes. When asked about her quirk she got very defensive and looked ashamed at the same time, so Ren did ask about it.
"Glad you like it some much," Ren said with a smile. "Hey, Eri are you hungry?" Ren asked.
Eri glanced at Ren, she knew Ren could say no to her and bought her many things and felt bad.
"No, I am not." Eri denies dryness.
Eri's stomach then grumbled as she tried hiding her stomach from Ren, but it was too late he heard it clear as day.
Ren giggled. "So you are not hungry, huh? But your stomach is hungry." He teased Eri as he stood beside the girl and took her hand. "Well then let's eat Eri. Nick and Toshinori probably made breakfast by now." He said to her.
Eri nodded still embarrassed from her stomach grumbling.
"Awww, Don't be embarrassed Eri. You need to eat if you want to grow into a fine young lady." Ren teased her again.
"Stop it, Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said while pouting.
The door to Ren's room creaked open, and both the Sentai and Eri walked out, detecting the aroma of a salty breakfast in the air as they went to the kitchen with Toshinori and Nick as they were watching the morning news.
"Nick, Toshinori, morning." Ren said walking into the kitchen.
"Morning, Ren. Morning Eri." Nick said as he turned his attention to them.
"Hey, Nick," Eri said to him.
"Good morning, Young Amamiya and Eri. Did you sleep alright?" Toshinori asked while making breakfast.
"More or less," Ren said with a nod.
Eri nodded to the man too.
"Would you both like me to make you some eggs?" Toshinori asked.
"Sure, if it's not a problem." Ren said before smiling. "Except Eri, since she's the most hungry."
"Ren Onii-chan, you meanie!" Eri said while pounding her fist on his legs cutely as the three were laughing at the sight.
"Ren Onii-chan?" Nick asked with a chuckle.
"Don't ask," Ren replied.
The number one hero grabbed two more eggs from the fridge and began cooking breakfast for the kids.
While he was doing this, Ren decided to get himself a glass of milk for himself and Eri, as he sat at the kitchen counter with Eri and Nick while he waited for All Might to finish cooking breakfast. After a few minutes, the number one hero grabbed three plates and utensils to serve the eggs for himself and the house guests.
"Thank you very much." Both Ren and Eri said to the hero.
The hero nodded, and the three began to eat their breakfast. The Sentai grabbed the saltshaker and lightly spread some salt over his eggs. While they were eating, Ren recalled events of everything that happened these past two weeks.
"Hey All Might, isn't this the day you said you were going to talk to Nezu?" Nick asked the hero.
"Correct, Nick," Toshinori said to the robot. "Since the school year has already started, young Amamiya will have to wait another year for him to take the entrance exam."
"Speak of the exam, I'll have to train for it. Not to mention if you don't find another person worthy of your quirk in time then I'll have to take it. So have anything in mind for me?" Ren asked.
"Well yes, in order to properly wield my quirk, the user's body must be extremely tough and durable, or else the strain of One For All will be too much to bear. I plan on training you to increase your physical strength enough so when the time comes, you will be able to take my quirk without difficulty." Toshinori explained.
"Huh, physical training..." Ren said the first thing that came to his mind was how anime protagonists would do the same thing. Even after learning some martial arts and getting his Buster Power, his physical strength was still rather weak in comparison to All Might's. "Toshinori, I have a question about your quirk?" He said, making the hero tilt his head.
"Well, depending on what it is I'll answer." The hero said while taking a sip of his drink.
Ren just waved him off. "Don't worry, it's nothing big. I was just wondering how would you tell if I was physically fit enough to take One For All."
That made the hero smile before buffing up in his muscle form. "That's easy, I would have had you follow my plan 'Aim to Pass! American Dream Plan'!" All Might said with pride as he pulled out a butt load of paper. "It would have been a hellish training that would have taken for the next year to turn your body into the perfect vessel."
"So that what's you were doing for the past two days in your room." Nick said as Toshinori spent two straight days in his room working on something.
"Yes, Nick! This was the perfect way to help train young Amamiya for my quirk and the exam." All Might said to him.
"Well whatever works for me, if it helps me get stronger to protect the people of this world." Ren said eating his food.
All Might smiled at the boy's foresight. Whatever choice he makes he will respect his decision.
"Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said getting his attention.
"Yes, Eri," Ren said.
"You on the TV again," Eri said pointing at the TV with excitement.
This made the others turn to the TV which had news coverage on the Red Buster.
"All Might, can you turn it up." Ren asked.
"No problem." All Might use the remote to increase the volume.
"In other news, the Super Sentai vigilante Red Buster has been spotted again." The female newsreader announces that this seems to be enough to get Ren, Toshinori, and Nick full attention on the television. "For the past two weeks since the Muscular incident, the mysterious vigilante has been seen multiple times in cities all over Tokyo, rescuing several civilians and stopping several dangerous villains, and show no signs of slowing down."
Several footage of the Red Butser were shown of him rescuing people from a burning building, hostage situations, accidents, and fighting against the most dangerous criminals all over Japan.
"Ren Onii-chan, your so cool!" Eri said with stars in her eyes.
Eri because a huge fan of the Super Sentai with all the stories Ren told her about them.
"I see you've been retarded busy these past few weeks." All Might said with a teasing grin.
"Not my fault there's a bunch of idiots who abuse their powers," Ren said shunning his shoulders.
"Yeah, how come there is always a crime when heroes are around?" Nick asked a good question.
"I have been asking myself that someone question for years now." All Might said shaking his head.
"However, when Pro heroes arrived on the scene to apprehend the vigilante, he resisted and confronted them or fled the scene. The mysterious vigilante has been shown easily defeating and restrained Pro heroes and running away on multiple occasions. Furthermore, it has also been revealed that the Red Buster already fought against, Mirko the number 5 hero." The female newsreader announces. "The Super Sentai vigilante person's identity has not been found yet, as police and heroes are still investigating to find the vigilante." The news said as they stopped paying attention.
"Young Amamiya, I can look the other way when it comes to your vigilantism but hurt my fellow Pro heroes his where I put my foot down." All Might said with a stern voice.
"It's not like I want to fight them. I usually just run away when a hero shows up. But if I'm backed into a corner then I have no choice but to fight back." Ren said in his defense.
"It's true. We normally would rather avoid fighting heroes if necessary." Nick added.
All Might just sighs to this. "I guess I can understand since you two are vigilantes and don't have a choice." All Might said before continuing. "But I'm impressed that you were able to hold your own against the number 5 hero."
Ren cringes at the memory of the fight as he doesn't want to remember.
One night as Ren was out fighting crime he had an unfortunate run-in with the rabbit theme heroine and started to fight her. It was a pretty difficult battle and that woman was seriously no joke when it came to fighting, but luckily he managed to escape Mirko which she was beyond upset about with Ren hearing her cursing up a storm as their match ended in a draw.
"No kidding. That woman kicks freakin hard." Ren said rubbing his left side as that was one of the spots Mirko hit.
All Might chuckles a little at that comment. "Yes, I am well aware of that. I only met her on a few occasions and she may be a little rough around the edges but is a good hero at heart." He said.
"I'll take your word for it," Ren said in an unsure tone.
Ren had to admit that the Rabbit Hero was probably one of the hottest women he'd ever seen in his life, especially with her animal features. But he was hoping to never run into her again as he knew it would be a nightmare.
"So you have any plans for today?" All Might asked the boy.
"Not really. I think I'll head into the city to with Nick and Eri." Ren said making the girl's eyes widen in excitement.
"Really?!" Eri asked in happiness.
"Yes, really and I'll take you wherever you want to go today," Ren said to her.
"And I'll be your personal driver, so we can get to our places quicker," Nick said to her as well.
Eri then started to cheer as she was looking forward to heading out with them.
"I can't wait to spend the day with Ren Onii-chan and Nick!" Eri said with a blush.
All Might let out a laugh at this before saying. "Well, you kids have fun today, and be sure to stay safe!"
"We will Toshinori." Ren nodded. "But what are you going to do today?"
"I have to talk to Nezu later on today about your transfer and do some grocery shopping." All Might said to him. "Now let's hurry up with our breakfast, though. It's a beautiful day and you're going to need the energy for it."
"Got it!" They all said with Ren and Eri began to increase the pace of their eating, and quickly put their plates in the sink, and prepared themselves for the fun day that was about to come.
Musutafu Tatooin Station- Morning
Early in the morning, a teenage boy with green hair was running down the street passing by a crossing sign and a sakura tree, as he looked up with a smile full of amazement towards a massive villain.
He was short for his age, his round face framed by a short mess of fluffy dark-green hair that stuck up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, their irises the same green color as his hair, giving him an innocent appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek, but despite these prominent traits, he's often described by others as being plain-looking. He was wearing a black uniform, wearing oversized red boots with thick white soles, laced up to the top.
His name was Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy who dreams of being a hero someday.
The villain was standing on an overpass above a sign. Midoriya gasped from behind the police line being set up to prevent bystanders from getting too close, though there was still a crowd past the policeman with a megaphone.
"Wow! That's one huge supervillain!" Midoriya exclaims in awe.
A transmission tower was then falling over after the villain smacked it down. Just as it was about to slam into the ground, Death Arms ran in just in time to catch it before it could cause any potential harm. Just as Death Arms was moving the transmission tower out of the way, the Police were at the very front of the crowds, warning people back, but they were also watching the action. Midoriya then sees water floating in the air forming a line, preventing civilians from crossing it. Upon further inspection, everyone sees a hero dressed in a fireman's costume, focusing his sights on the giant villain.
He is dressed like a firefighter, sporting a long yellow jacket with high-visibility lines running down the center, along his sleeve cuffs, hem, and high collar, as well as a red fireman hat. A thin cannon is strapped to his left shoulder which is attached to the red water tank he wears on his back. He wears a white mask with a single orange bead embedded into the center, which could possibly be his eye. He has tapped for his hands with circular wrist guards just behind their openings, red valves over the top, a pair of similar knee pads on his legs, and yellow sneakers on his feet.
His name was called Backdraft.
"Everybody stand back!" Backdraft instructs the civilians. "This will be dangerous!"
"Wow! Even the rescue specialist Backdraft is here!" A female civilian says with glee in her voice.
The guy behind Midoriya is the one who talking and other bystanders asking.
"So, what do you think that giant Villain up there is in trouble for? He looks pretty darn angry." The man asked in curiosity.
"Well, from what I've heard from the other people before arriving here, he stole someone's bag and went out of control when he was confronted." The other man answered.
The man that the bystander was talking to frowned in disappointment while Midoriya inched his way through the crowd. "A quirk like that and he's just a petty thief."
"I have to get a closer look." Midoriya then smiles as he gently gets past the crowd while politely saying 'Excuse um' to each person he brushes by. As they got closer, a third Hero jumped over the crowd, getting everyone's attention. "Ah, this is gonna be good!" He exclaimed in excitement, having finally reached Backdraft's barrier.
"It's Kamui! We're your biggest fans!" A group of schoolgirls suddenly squealed as a shadow flew over the crowd.
As the crowd was watching, Kamui Woods sprinted his way towards the villain and jumped near him. The giant villain noticed him and attempted to crush the hero under the palm of his hand, but Kamui Woods was quick enough to dodge the attack while getting himself high in the air.
"Damn you…" The giant villain growls before roaring at Kamui. "Get away!"
The crowd then watches Kamui Woods use his quirk to grapple onto a platform to dodge another swipe from the giant before landing on said platform.
"It is Kamui Woods!" Midoriya declared that the hero got a stenciled introduction like he and the others had earlier. "He may be new, but he's making a big name for himself!"
Midoriya then heard some laughter to his right and turned to see a bald man in a white shirt looking at Midoriya with a smile.
"You gave a perfect commentary, kid." The man says before pointing at the green-haired kid. "You must be a fanboy, aren't ya?"
Midoriya jumps at the man's question before shifting his eyes back to Kamui Woods shyly. "Uh, well…"
Back with the wood-wielder, Kamui Woods uses his quirk to grab hold of the Villain's left arm. After it got connected, the giant violently moved his arm in an attempt to get it off, making Kamui Woods swing around him and land on the top of a train with a somersault.
As soon as the wood hero balances himself, he glares at the giant villain.
"Illegal use of your powers during rush hour, and robbery resulting in bodily injury..." Kamui Woods voice becomes angrier as he continues. "You are the incarnation of Evil!"
Kamui Woods then aims his right fist towards the Villain. As he did, his arm turned into a series of branches pointed at the giant.
"Oh, Here it comes!" Midoriya announces as he points toward Kamui's right arm.
"Show us something flashy, tree man!" The bald man standing beside the two shouts, feeling just as hyped as them.
With a determined gaze, the branches on Kamui's arm began to squirm around.
"Pre-emptive binding…" Kamui Woods shouted before shooting the branches towards the Villain. "…Lacquered chain prison!"
"Canyon Cannon!" A female voice cried out as Kamui's attack was about to reach the Villain, the fiend was suddenly kicked in the face by a newcomer Heroine, catching everyone off guard.
She is a voluptuous young woman who has purple eyes with white pupils, with elegantly long eyelashes. She has long, voluminous, creamy blonde hair reaching her waist, with two shorter strands curled to frame her face, parted slightly to her left. Her hero costume is composed of a purple and pale tan-colored skintight bodysuit, which is accented with orange stripes. The suit appears to have a pair of purple gloves with orange accents on the edge of the cuff. The design is similar to her "boots" which are cut off at the thigh in a deep v-shape. The suit also has three peculiar orange diamond-shaped dots on the purple top that are located under her chest, and she also wears a purple domino mask with horn-like protrusions on the sides.
Her name is Yu Takeyama, also known as Mount Lady.
After the Villain fell down with a thud, the newcomer lands after Mount Lady kicks and wipes the sweat from her forehead.
Midoriya and the bald man look shocked as well as the crowd. Kamui Woods stopping halfway through his attack and looks like he is sprouting a tree.
"Huh?" Kamui Woods muttered out in confusion.
As Mount Lady lands on the ground and Midoriya looks on in shock when suddenly a group of male photographers taking photos of the newcomer's backside with dark blushes on their cheeks. And because of how skintight the Heroine's outfit is, it showed off all of her butts, which was something a few photographers were snapping pictures of the most with some blood trickling down their noses.
"Phew! Today's the day of my debut." The blonde woman said before turning her head back towards the civilians with a sweet smile before backing up her rear with a wink. "Hello everyone, my name is Mt. Lady. It's a pleasure to meet you all~"
Because of her pose and the tenderness of her voice, it drew in more photographers to take even more pictures of the new Heroine. And because of how captivating her beauty is, most of the men wouldn't stop staring at her.
Even Kamui Woods was looking at her, but not for the same reasons as the other men.
"She… She's taking all the credit…" Kamui Woods murmurs while twitching in agitation with the branches on his arm still there.
The villain is now seen tied up by the police while Mt. Lady who returned back to her regular size is being interviewed and waved her hand.
"She looks like she'll be popular, and it's an amazing quirk, but thinking about the damage to the city that'll go hand in hand with that, its use might be limited. No, but whether or not she can control the size…" Midoriya jotted down something in his notebook while murmuring to himself about what he was writing in one of his Heroic Analysis books.
"Taking notes, eh, kid?" The bald man from earlier asks Midoriya, getting his attention. "I assume ya wanna be a hero yourself, huh?"
Midoriya froze when he heard him ask that question. He stuttered at first, but before he gave a big bright smile. "Yes! More than anything!"
But to the green-haired kid's surprise, the bald man laughs kindly and gives him a thumbs up.
"That sounds exciting! I'll bet you can pull it off!" The bald man said cheering him on.
Midoriya's eyes widen at the man's encouragement before smiling in gratitude.
"Y-Yes! I'll be sure to do our best!" Midoriya cried out.
Aldera Junior High- Morning
In a middle school classroom, a homeroom teacher in a classroom began speaking to his students.
"So, as third-year students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures and what you want to do with your lives!" The teacher said as Midoriya furtively looked up from his notebook at his teacher. "I could pass out some career aptitude tests but…" Then the teacher glared at the sheets of paper in his hand. "Why bother? I know you all want to go to the Hero track!"
The class started yelling and using their quirks to show off as they all got excited at the prospect of becoming Heroes.
Midoriya raises his hand slightly while looking down.
"Yes, yes, you all have wonderful quirks! but using your powers at school is against the rules!" The teacher said to his students.
"Hey teach." A blonde-haired boy said with a smug look on his face as he was leaning against his chair with his feet on the desk.
The boy was of average height, with a slim, muscular build, and a fair skin tone. He has short, spiky, ash-blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright red in color, His uniform is all black and buttoned up, and he's wearing a pair of brown shoes.
His name was Katsuki Bakugo.
"Don't lump me in with the rest of these extras! I'm the only one here with a quirk good enough to be a hero! These guys will be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-lister!" Bakugo said in a cocky tone.
"What!?"
"Hey?!"
"Who do you think you're talking to huh?!"
The other students around the classroom started yelling at Bakugo for his smart-ass comment.
"You all should shut up like the extras you are!" Bakugo arrogantly said to everyone.
"Oh yeah, Bakugo, you applied to UA High didn't you?" The teacher asked as the other students gasped.
"UA?"
"No way!"
"They only have a 0.2% acceptance rate!"
The whole classroom quickly changed their tune from angry to astonished and amazed by Bakugo.
"That's exactly why it's the only place worthy of me." Bakugo crowded with a prideful look on his face as he stood atop his desk. "I aced all the mock tests. I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance of getting in. I'll end up more popular than All Might himself, and be the richest Hero of all time!" He declared to the entire class.
"Oh yeah, Midoriya, don't you wanna go to U.A. too?" The teacher's words were casual, almost an afterthought, bringing up the one other student in class who aspired to enter the prestigious institution.
Bakugo's form froze in complete shock, while Midoriya squeaked and looked very much like he wanted to disappear.
The class broke into uproarious laughter while their teacher looked disinterested.
"Huh? Midoriya? No way!" A student said.
"The guy's quirkless!" One student laughed.
"You can't get into the hero course just by studying!" Another student added.
Midoriya suddenly stands shaking and looking scared.
"Well, actually they got rid of that rule!" Midoriya tried to defend his position in a panic. "I could be the first one."
"DEKU, YOU FUCKER!" Bakugo roared, slamming his hand against Midoriya's desk and causing an explosion from his quirk.
Midoriya was blown away, landing hard on his rear end while the blond raged. He then looks up fearfully. As Bakugo looks menacingly at him with his hand raised ready to blow again.
"You're below the rejects! You're quirkless! How can you even stand in the same ring as me?!" Bakugo shouted angrily at him.
"No, wait Kacchan! It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me!" Midoriya said waving his hands in front of him and backing up until he was pressed against the wall. Midoriya then looks down before smiling weakly. "It's just that it's been my goal ever since I was little. And well… …I won't know unless I try…"
Bakugo just looked furious, as he put his hands out with both of them steaming as a smoke came out.
"Whaddaya mean, unless you try?!" Bakugo snapped at Midoriya with him looking down sadly. "What the hell can you do? You're Quirkless!" He said with the whole class laughing behind him. "You'd never be able to hang with the best of the best! You'd die in the exams! Defenseless Deku, the quirkless failure!" Bakugo mocked as Midoriya flinched inwards. "This school's already crappy. You really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard?!"
"Alright alright, settle down. Class is about to begin." The teacher stated, that not caring about the class clearly discrimination against Midoriya.
Bakugo only just snorted at this and got back in his seat.
Midoriya just sighed to himself as he got ready to take notes on the day's lessons.
Musutafu Streets Tatooin Shopping District- Afternoon
In another part of the city, Toshinori was buying groceries for his new house guests. While he was shopping he couldn't help but overhear everyone talking about the Red Buster's heroic deeds.
"Young Amamiya did a better job than me?" Toshinori wonders why it took only 2 weeks for a Super Sentai to bring fear into the hearts of criminals and villains. "What did I do wrong?" He takes a look at the crime ratings in different cities and all of them were reduced to 40% fast. "This is an unbelievable increase! If this keeps up, we heroes might be out of a job soon!" He joked as he made the right choice to help Ren.
While Toshinori finished buying his groceries, he noticed a man made of sludge burst out of a store across the street with cash flying off his disgusting, liquid body.
"Somebody stop that thief!" The store owner shouted.
The sludge villain maniacally laughs. "Catch me if you can, punks!" He ran down the streets as fast as he could to avoid getting caught by the heroes.
"Where's the hero when you need them?" A woman asked.
"They're probably busy." A man said.
"Jeez, their Quirks are so good and yet they used it for despicable things." Another person noted. "I swear there is no end to them."
Toshinori stepped out of the store after hearing the conversation. He looked around to see whether they were eyeing him. His body then turned into a form where people would recognize him.
"There is an end." All Might said finishing his transformation.
Everyone turned to him in awe and shock. Some immediately took out their phones or cameras and took a photo before he stepped out of the shadows.
"Why? Because I am here!" All Might proclaimed.
He dashes towards The sludge villain at a tremendous speed. The villain looks back in terror as he keeps on running from the number one hero, All Might on his tail.
Aldera Junior High- Afternoon
Back at Aldera, the class seemed to have ended with Midoriya scrolling on his phone, smiling, looking happy again.
"The incident this morning is all over the headlines!" Midoriya said before putting his phone away and began to pack up. "I wanna hurry up and go home so I can write it down in my notebook."
When he grabbed his notebook, Bakugo suddenly came out of nowhere and took Midoriya's notebook out of his hand.
"I don't know what you think you're doing, Deku, but we're not done." Bakugo said with utter disrespect for the green-haired boy.
He looked at the cover of the book, especially the title, and felt angry at it. No surprise, he drew the attention of students who were still in the classroom, as most of them stood by and observed. The teacher was gone, though it wasn't like he would've intervened. He was biased towards anyone with a quirk.
"What's that, Katsuki?" A friend of Katsuki asked. He was shown the book, and the kid read it out loud. "Huh? 'Hero Analysis for the Future'? …Haha, for real?! Goddammit, Midoriya!"
"Seriously?! He's delusional!" Bakugo's other friend mocked the quirkless boy.
Bakugo's friends begin to laugh. While Midoriya still looks worried that Bakugo has his notebook.
Midoriya looked between the two boys and Bakugo as they picked on him. "Yeah, real funny guys. Just give it back." He asked as he wasn't in the mood to deal with them.
Bakugo in response slammed the notebook between his fists, making an explosion that torched Midoriya's pride as the boy made a distressing wail before whimpering.
"That's so mean…" Midoriya said to him.
With an unsettling amount of casual disinterest, Bakugo tossed the torched notebook over his shoulder, where it flew outside the open window. Midoriya reached for it in a panic, but it was already well beyond his grasp.
"Hey?!" Midoriya said in disbelief.
Bakugo then put on a smug look. "Most top first-string heroes have stories about them from their school days. I want the shine of being able to be called the only student to make it into U.A. from this mediocre city junior high school. I mean, I'm a perfectionist." He said with his friends looking behind him and sweat drops.
"He's so petty." One of the boys whispered.
Bakugo's hand was on Midoriya's scrawny shoulder, giving the green-haired boy a grin with no mirth in it. Smoke came from his hand. He was causing his nitro-sweat to burn into Midoriya's shoulder.
"Here's a little word of advice," Bakugo said smiling. but that smile is a smile for someone who want to threaten someone. "Don't apply to U.A., nerd."
All Midoriya could do in response was whimper. Whether that was in pain, fear, or a dreadful cocktail of both, it wasn't clear, but he certainly looked frozen to the spot without an ounce of courage. The bullies started to leave, their expressions satisfied with the result.
"That's just sad." One of the boys said. "I thought you at least had some fight in you."
"He finally gets it. He'll never be a hero. Better to find out now instead of later, I guess." The other boy laughed.
Bakugo glanced back behind him towards Midoriya. His expression seemed kind, and actually somewhat nice. He still looked a little stuck-up, but he'd lost all the rage and condescending demeanor.
"You know if you really want to be a hero that badly there actually might be another way! Just pray that you'll be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!" Bakugo said laughing in a noncaring tone.
Midoriya turned around and glared at Bakugo with tears at the base of his eyes, growling.
Bakugo in response raised his right hand up, explosions bursting around his fingers. "Something wrong?"
Midoriya froze again, whimpering in terror at the implied threat.
"I thought so," Bakugo said and put his hand down before walking out the door with his two friends.
Midoriya just stood there as he listened to Bakugo laughing along with his friends, as balled his fist up in frustration and dread.
Midoriya was walking along the grounds at the base of the school, thinking about what would have happened if he'd listened to Bakugo.
"Idiot!" Midoriya thought. "You can't go around telling people to kill themselves. What if I'd really jumped? What would he do then?" Given the angry tone of his thoughts, it seemed like jumping was not an option he'd seriously considered.
But The quirkless boy then found his notebook floating in a fish pond.
"My dreams have turned into fish food." Midoriya thought and went to pick it up, eyes blurring with tears. "That's enough, give it back!" He scolded the fish, emotion thickening his voice. "Dammit…"
As Midoriya was walking home, he started thinking about how his dreams were crushed when he found out he was quirkless and all the other painful things that come from it. Holding his burnt hero notebook in his hand as he stood beneath a pedestrian tunnel.
"I made a decision that day. No matter what anyone else thinks, I have to believe in myself, and I'll keep smiling, just like him!" Midoriya screwed a smile onto his face and started to laugh like All Might as he headed into the tunnel.
Then out of nowhere, sludge flowed up from the manhole Midoriya had walked over. The sound made the young man stop laughing and turn around as the amorphous form of the villain towered over him to his horror.
"You'll make a perfect skinsuit for me to hide in, kid!" The villain said with happiness.
"A villain?!" Midoriya shakes in fear at the monster before him.
The sludge villain suddenly charges forward at Midoriya as he yells and begins to run for his life, but the quirkless boy isn't quick enough and is easily captured by the villain with Midoriya dropping his notebook.
The villain laughed as it started pouring itself into Midoriya's mouth. "Don't worry, It'll only hurt for about 45 seconds. You'll feel better soon!" the villain taunted.
Midoriya was struggling to break away from the villain but to no avail.
"I can't… breathe…" Tears bested up in Midoriya's eyes as he tried to remove the sludge with his hand
"You can't grab me! I'm fluid! Thanks for your help! You're my hero!" The sludge villain said.
"I'm losing strength… I'm dying… Am I dying? I'm dying…" Midoriya's movements were getting weaker and weaker. "No way, this can't be the end," He thought as his vision started to fade, eyes catching sight of a drawing of a hero in his notebook. "Somebody… help!"
Then out of nowhere, the manhole cover within the tunnel flew up into the air. The sludge villain turned around, and his eyes widened in shock, mortified at the sight in front of him.
"Have no fear, you're safe now..." He stomped his foot down, dust rising from the concrete as the tall man is revealed to be All Might himself. "Because I am here!" All Might said using his famous catchphrase.
The lid falls to the floor and the sludge villain quickly tries to attack but All Might easily dodges. He tried another attack but All Might dodged the second attack and wound his right fist up.
"TEXAAAS… SMASH!" The Number one hero threw his fist forward, as a torrent of wind blew the sludge villain away.
"I can't… hold… together!" The villain cried out.
His fluid body scattered, leaving Midoriya free of the villain. His eyes barely fluttered open, consciousness still fading from having suffocated from the villain's brutal attack.
"Is that… All Might?" Midoriya thought as his vision went black.
After collecting the pieces of the unconscious villain, All Might was quickly slapping Midoriya's face repeatedly to try to wake him up.
"Hey! Wake up! Hey!" All Might said as Midoriya's eyes opened fully, taking in the sight of All Might standing over him. "Thought we'd lost you there."
Midoriya's eyes got wide and his jaw dropped with a gasp, as he quickly scampered back away screaming in shock, creating a dust cloud.
"I'm glad you're okay! I didn't mean to get you caught up in my justice! Usually, I pay more attention to keeping bystanders safe, but it turns out this city's sewer system is pretty difficult to navigate!" He laughed while shaking his head. "Anyway, you were a big help. Thanks to you, I've captured the evildoer!" All Might posed, showing the villain contained within the two plastic pop bottles that had been in his shopping bag.
"T-The most a-a-amazing hero of the e-entire world, All Might!" Midoriya thought as he was still freaking out. "T-T-The real t-thing... In the flesh... Standing r-r-right in front of m-me. He looks so much cooler in person!" Midoriya shook his head clearly as he realized something. "Holy crap! I need to get an autograph! I've got a pen around here somewhere!" He gasped, catching sight of his Hero Analysis notebook. "Please sign my notebook!" Midoriya picked it up and opened it.
But All Might had already done his best John Hancock, his signature covering two whole blank pages of the book.
"He already did!" Midoriya thought screaming in joy and began bowing rapidly to his idol. "T-Thank you very much! It'll be an heirloom! a family treasure!"
"Hahahaha! You're very welcome, my thundering fan!" All Might said giving a thumbs up. "Welp! I've gotta get this guy to the police so they can take care of him." All Might said, patting the pocket in his pants where he'd secured one of the bottles with the villain. He turned away from Midoriya. "Stay out of trouble now. See you around."
Midoriya broke out of his fanboying moment. "Wait, you're leaving already?" He asked.
"Pro heroes are constantly fighting time as well as enemies." All Might answered as he limbered up.
"He can't go yet," Midoriya thought in concern. "There are still so many questions I have to ask him."
All Might launched into the sky in a powerful jump. "Thanks for your continued support! Huh…" As he jumped, Midoriya had latched onto his legs.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!" All Might said repeatedly, trying to get Midoriya to let go, thinking he was some sort of crazy super fan. "Let go of me! Your fanaticism is too much!"
"But if I let go now, I'll die!" Midoriya cried out as he was holding on to his leg for dear life.
All Might suddenly stop trying to push him off. "That's true..." He said seeing his reason.
Midoriya says something as his face is still being pulled back. "I have… a lot of things… I want to ask you directly!" He struggled to say.
"Okay, okay! I get it, so close your eyes and mouth!" All Might told him.
Midoriya whimpers and does just as he was told by putting his face against All Might's leg as the Pro hero puts his hand on Midoriya's back so he won't fall and looks around to find a place to land. But then he started coughing up a bit of blood leaking out past his clenched teeth.
"Shit!" All Might quickly wipes it away.
All Might and Midoriya landed on the roof of an office building.
Midoriya looked like he might pass out again or turn into a zombie, whichever was more natural. "I just saw my whole life flash before my eyes." He said taking deep breaths.
All Might pressed his fists to his hips. "Not a very smart move." He firmly stated to get his scolding across. "Bang on the door for a while, someone will let you in. Now, I have to go. See you on the flip side." He said to the boy as he tried to leave.
"One second!" Midoriya begged the hero to stop.
"No! I don't have any time." All Might said.
"I have to know!" Midoriya begged again.
"Sorry kid, it's not gonna happen." All Might thought still walking away.
"Sometimes I do feel like a failure; like there's no hope for me. But even so, I'm not going to give up, ever!" Midoriya thought trembling before looking up at All Might as the top of the pros walked towards the edge of the roof. "Is it possible to become a hero even if I don't have a quirk?" He asked.
All Might stopped and half-turned to look back at Midoriya. "Without a quirk?" All Might then felt a jolt of pain in his old injury. "Oh no, dammit! Not here!" All Might whispered to himself as his body started to steam with him reaching his limit.
Midoriya then closed his eyes noticing the steam coming from All Might before speaking again.
"People think I don't have a chance; that not having any powers makes me some kind of weakling. My classmates like to make fun of me. But you know what, that makes me want to prove them wrong. Ever since I was a kid, I've thought that saving people was the coolest thing you can do. I want people to see my fearless smile feel safe, and be the kind of hero everyone in the world looks up to. Just like you." Midoriya said to his idol as he opened his eyes to the steam coming off All Mighty's body.
The steam faded away to reveal All Might's emaciated body standing right where All Might had been a few seconds ago, as Midoriya's face screwed up in shock as he wordlessly screamed in surprise.
"AHHHHHHH!" Midoriya was freaking out as stared at All Might's weakened form. "I… wait… who?! What happened?! You deflated!" Midoriya then started looking right and left. "Where'd All Might go?! You! You're not him! You're a fake, an imposter!"
After sighing, Toshinori opened his mouth to speak. "I assure you that I am All Mi—" His words were interrupted as blood poured out of his mouth.
"No way! How did you..." Midoriya said freaking out.
"You know how guys at the pool are always sucking in and flexing and trying to look buff?" Toshinori asked while aid as he wiped his mouth. "I'm like that."
"No way, I'm dreaming…" Midoriya uttered, looking like his soul was leaving his body after his entire world was knocked off-kilter. "All Might is fearless… he saves everyone with a smile… he's the greatest," Midoriya pronounced with a wobbly voice as if trying to reassure himself of what his truth was.
This only made Toshinori sigh.
"There's plenty of fear behind that smile," Toshinori revealed as the man sat down by the railing near the edge of the roof and looked calmly at Midoriya. "I'm counting on you to keep your mouth shut. Don't go talking about this online or telling your friends."
Midoriya looked at Toshinori as the hero said that, still unsure, and then there was the quick sound of fabric moving and the middle-schooler flinched in horror and disgust. The number one hero lifted up the left side of his shirt to see his to the quirkless boy.
"Pretty gross, right? I got this in a big fight five years back. My respiratory system was basically destroyed, and I lost my whole stomach. All of the surgeries have pretty much worn me out, and it can't be fixed. Right now I can only do hero work for about three hours a day; the rest of the time, this is what I look like." Toshinori revealed the truth to him.
"Five years ago?" Midoriya asked. "So does that mean it was the fight with Toxic Chainsaw?"
"Wow, you know your stuff." Toshinori replied, impressed. "That punk may have landed a few good hits, but he couldn't bring me down. Most of the world has never seen this fight. I did everything I could do to keep it under wraps."
Toshinori then looked down below at the city, watching the civilians going about their day as he turned his attention back to the quirkless boy.
"I'm supposed to be the guy who's always smiling, right? I'm the Symbol of Peace. People everywhere have to think that I'm never afraid. But honestly,..." He revealed, clenching his fist. "I smile to hide the fear inside. It's just a brave face I put on when the pressure is high. This job isn't easy. Pro heroes are always having to risk their lives." Toshinori said to the fanboy with a serious expression on his face. "Some villains just can't be beaten without powers. So no, I honestly don't think you can become a hero without a quirk."
Hearing those words coming from the number one hero's mouth was like a dead sentence for Midoriya. All his life the only thing he ever dreamed of was being a hero and bringing a smile to their faces, but he was quirkless. Nobody believed in him and told him he couldn't be one cause he quirkless. His mother, his classmates, his teachers, his former best friend/bully, and now even his idol hero.
"I... See." Midoriya gulped, with his head down in disappointment.
"But that's what I once thought until a few weeks ago," Toshinori said making Midoriya look up at him with a bit of curiosity.
"Huh?" Midoriya said.
"You see a few weeks ago I encountered this young man who completely shattered my worldview of heroes," Toshinori said smiling as he got up and walked towards Midoriya. "After talking to him, I learned that having a quirk doesn't define the hero, it's their heart and actions."
"Their heart and actions?" Midoriya repeated in curiosity.
"Yes, I said before meeting him made me remember something I completely forgot long ago, is being a hero isn't about having a powerful quirk or how hard you punch a villain. It's about standing up to fight for what you believe is right and protecting the lives of the innocent. To fight with a smile in order to calm and give hope to the people." Toshinori said making Midoriya's eyes widen.
"Fighting for what I believe is right and protecting the innocent..." Midoriya said in awe.
"Actually! You may be a quirkless fanboy! But you have the heart of a hero young man!" Toshinori said to him while laughing. "Tell me something, even if you don't have a quirk do you still want to be a hero someday?" He asked the young man.
Midoriya looked at Toshinori for a moment with hesitation in his voice before taking a deep breath as he spoke.
"Of course, more than anything! Being a hero has always been my dream! I want to be a hero that saves everyone and brings smiles to their faces, just like you All Might!" Midoriya cried out with a firey dying pressure in his eyes that can never burn out.
Toshinori just smiles at the boy's drive to be a hero. It reminded him of himself when he wanted to be a hero.
"Young man, those words you've just said, moved me deeply, I admire your determination and your dream. I'm going to be honest with you. The moment you said you're quirkless and still desire to be a hero, I wanted to stop you there. But I know my words would just dump down your spirit, nothing else. Let me warn you though, the path to heroics isn't padded with roses, and its life is a dangerous one, trust me on that." His voice turned very serious at the end. No doubt some kind of personal experience. "But seeing the look in your eyes and hearing the drive in your voice, reminds me of the same boy I was talking about early. So allow me to say those words to you. You, young man, can become a hero! A splendid one at that, no doubt! So carry on with your dreams and change them into reality!" Toshinori finished while giving him a thumbs up.
Midoriya was once again frozen, only this time it was from what he just heard. He clutched his chest and started to bow as he couldn't control his emotions anymore. His eyes started to water as he felt tears coming out of them, he cried tears of joy as he heard the words that he wanted to hear for so long.
Toshinori just kneeled down towards him and patted Midoriya's head to comfort him a bit. He couldn't blame the boy for breaking down like this since others told him that he couldn't be a hero.
"Wipe away the tears, kid." Toshinori said as both he and Midoriya stood up.
"Thank you, All Might. You don't know how long I want to hear those words." Midoriya said whipping tears away from his eyes.
"Hahaha, no problem kid." Toshinori said laughing. "So I know it's a little late to ask but what's your name?"
"I-It's Izuku Midoriya." Midoriya said nervously.
"Young Midoriya, huh? While I look forward to the day you become a Pro." Toshinori said wishing him luck.
"R-Right, I'll do my best!" Midoriya said with determination.
"I know you will my boy! Now I think it's time for us to get going." Toshinori said as he made his way to the roof door before opening it.
"Okay!" Midoriya said running up to him as the two walked down the steps.
"Now, let's get you to the station," Toshinori said glancing down, and tapping on his pocket then he gasped, pulling the material inside out of each of them. He glanced back and forth panicking.
"All Might? Is something wrong?" Midoriya asked as he watched his idol panic.
"The bottle! The one that I had the villain in! It's gone!" All Might yelled which made Midoriya's eyes widen in shock.
"W-W-W-WHAAAAT? But how did that happen?!" Midoriya asked in shock.
Before he could answer, a loud explosion was heard from outside.
Looking out the window, Toshinori and Midoriya noticed smoke billowing from a few blocks away.
"Not good." Toshinori said rushing to the scene.
"W-Wait, All Might!" Midoriya said before running right behind him.
Musutafu Streets Tatooin Shopping District- Afternoon
A few moments earlier
In an alleyway, there was a plastic bottle that had something inside of it. It was the sludge villain who was encased, after his defeat with All Might.
He awoke, struggling to escape. "Where am I? What happened?" He paused, remembering his encounter with All Might. "Oh yeah. If it wasn't for him, I'd be out of town already..." He thought in anger, cursing the Pro hero.
"That was rough." A male voice said, as three teenage middle boys walked down the alleyway. "Weren't you and Midoriya good friends back when you were kids?" One of the boys said to an angry blonde-haired boy.
"Yeah." The other boy agreed turning to Bakugo. "You were a little harsh with him today."
Bakugo looked down at an empty soda can resting in his palm. "It's his own fault for getting in my way." He said walking, as he kicked the bottle that held the sludge villain.
"You shouldn't waste your time with the guy. Just forget about him." One of his friends suggested.
Bakugo thought back to that morning, scoffing as he exploded the can with his quirk. "Someone's gotta teach that worthless nerd how the world really works." He threw the can to the side. "I hate it when he talks about heroes." Bakugo angrily said.
His friends started to laugh, and then one of them gave a suggestion. "Hey, I got an idea. We should go to the arcade. Get your mind off it, ya know?"
"Find," Bakugo said agreeing with the idea.
"Or, we can sneak into the bar at the station. Pick up some ladies." The other boy said with a grin.
His friend agreed to the idea. "Idiots! If we get caught, there's no way U.A. would let me in!" Bakugo yelled at them, while the sludge seeping out of the bottle as they spoke.
As Bakugo yelled, his friend's eyes widened, noticing the sludge villain behind him. They each pointed towards him, drawing Bakugo's attention to a reforming sludge monster.
"Perfect." The mud-like creature gurgled. "I like a skinsuit with some fire!" He said absorbing Bakugo into his goopy body.
Currently, Ren was walking out of a movie theater with Eri in his arms and Nick behind them as they just finished watching a children's movie.
The little girl was having some trouble letting Ren go and when he was near she would always make him hold her or let her sit on his lap and have him rub her head. The teen tried to get her to be a little more independent, and she was when he was going out vigilantes, but as soon as Ren got home she latched onto him like a bag and didn't let go. He tried to get her to let go more often than not, but the girl always looked up at him with big eyes that did more damage to him than any of All Might's punches, so Ren always caved in.
After they left the house, the first place they visited was the movies. After a few hours of watching a movie Ren, Eri, and Nick all made their way to the shopping center. There the three went to various stores, arcades, and restraints together. At the arcade Nick won a stuffed rabbit for Eri in a claw game, making her eyes light up. At the restaurant, they gave the girl nearly anything she asked for, which was mostly a Candy Apple she was drooling for.
Yet despite everything they did they could not get Eri to smile or laugh. She was defiantly happy, but she still hadn't smiled. The three of them were sitting on a bench in a plaza with multiple people passing by.
"I can't think of anything else," Ren said in a defeated voice as Eri ate her candy apple.
"Yeah, we pretty much did everything fun we could think of." Nick said as had a thoughtful look on his face as he was running out of ideas.
Ren then turned his attention to the horn girl as she was finishing her candy apple.
"Hey Eri, did you have fun today?" Ren asked, getting the girl to smile.
"Yes, I had lots of fun today with you, Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said in a cute manner which made Ren flush.
"I'm happy to hear that Eri," Ren said patting her head which made the girl blush in embarrassment.
"Your so cute when you blush like that Eri." Ren teased her.
"Don't make fun of me, Ren Onii-chan!" Eri said puffing up her chucks in the cutest manner.
Ren and Nick laugh at this until a loud explosion is heard getting their attention as they turn to it.
"What was that?" Ren said in surprise as he got up from the bunch and saw smoke in the distance.
"Don't know, but it looks like trouble." Nick said just as surprised as Ren.
Eri who didn't know what was going on, immediately clinged on to Ren in fear as he held her up in his arms.
"Come on, let's go see what this is Nick!" Ren said rushing over to where the smoke was.
"Roger that!" Nick said following him.
Toshinori and Midoriya ran through the city as fast as they could, even know he had reached his time limit on using his quirk and Midoriya helping him as best he could. The two of them arrived to see the wreckage of the villain attack.
"This is bad." Midoriya watched the scene in horror.
"How could I let this?" Toshinori said to himself in shame.
"Toshinori!" A voice was heard getting the green hair boy and number one hero's attention.
They saw Ren holding Eri in his arms and Nick running up to them.
"Young Amamiya?! What are you doing here?!" Toshinori asked in surprise.
"We heard the explosion and decided to check it out," Nick explained to him.
"Speaking of which, why are you here in your weakened site?" Ren asked before he noticed Midoriya next to him. "And who is this?"
"O-Oh, my name is Izuku Midoriya and-" Midoriya was about to explain until another explosion went off getting their attention as they looked at the scene before them.
Flames licked at posts, bringing them down with thuds as panicked people ran from the chaos. The Heroes rushed to the scene, soon realizing that there was someone encased in the monster's goop.
And others Pro's thrown into the mix, trying their best to resolve the situation at hand.
"They've taken someone hostage!" Death Arms exclaimed, his fists colliding. The man rushed towards the villain, punching the sludge villain. "How dare you prey on a child?!"
The villain simply laughed as the man's hand sunk into his body. Death Arms was thrust into the door of a garage, groaning as he fell.
"You okay, Death Arms?" A hero asked, running towards the sludge villain.
"Heh! Stay back or I'll snap his neck!" The Villain threatened the hero to stop.
Bakugo was struggling to free himself from the villain's grasp, screaming as he stretched the sludge. "YOU PICKED THE WRONG GUY TO MESS WITH! I'M GONNA SEND YOU BACK TO WHATEVER SEWER YOU CRAWLED OUT OF!" His palms forced out explosions as he fought back, spreading the fire. "LET ME GO!"
The wind rushed from the explosions, pushing the heroes backward.
"You have so much power!" The sludge villain laughed. "I really hit the jackpot! With a quirk like yours under my control, I could take All Might down with one punch!" He began forcing his 'tentacles' into the air, sending them into a spiraling motion.
"That doesn't look good." Ren said to himself, watching the whole thing unfold.
Eri who was scared held on to Ren harder as she was terrified.
"This isn't good." Nick thought in worry. "The other heroes are struggling to get that kid-free. And he's just wildly using his power, making things worse." Watching the horrible scene.
Toshinori gasped, remembering his encounter with Midoriya. "I must've dropped him in the air... I got distracted, worrying about my time limit..." He clutched his chest, gripping a pole with the opposite hand. "What a rookie mistake... And after lecturing that kid about what it takes to be a hero. I'm pathetic!" He thought feeling disappointed in himself.
Meanwhile, Midoriya suddenly gasped, eyes widening as he noticed the villain."It's the guy who attacked me! That can't be right! How did he... " His breath hitched as he thought back. "But the bottle... If All Might drop it... That means... It's my fault. I caused this." He realized.
Citizens began to comment on the action, panic rising among them.
"What was that? Some kind of special move?" A person said.
"Dude is a legit supervillain..." Another person said to them.
Then smiles lit up as gasps came from the crowd. "It's her! The hero Mount Lady will stop him!" A civilian yelled as a giant woman rushed forward to the scene to stop the villain.
Mount Lady's eyes widened as she stumbled backward. "My only weakness!" She gasped in realization. "I need at least a two-lane road if I'm gonna make my way through here!"
"Fire and wood don't exactly make a good combination! I'll let someone else stop this guy!" Kamui Woods said wrapping up civilians in his limbs, rescuing them from the scene.
"Don't look at me!" Backdraft called out, hosing down the fire. "I've got my hands full here!" He glanced from left to right, speaking to the heroes. "Where are those fire trucks?! Can you guys get to him?!"
"I can't get a grip on his weird body." Death Arms replied. "Plus, that kid's quirk is causing explosions left and right!"
"This is a shutout! We gotta rally and knock him out of the park somehow!" Shouted a nearby hero.
Bakugo continued to struggle as the sludge villain laughed maniacally, almost completely enveloping the boy. He then launched an attack on the heroes, forcing them to move backward.
"It's no good! None of us have the right quirks for stuff like this!" Death Arms shouted, exasperated.
The other hero nodded. "We'll do damage control until someone with the right quirk shows up!" He shouted.
"There are still plenty of people to save...!" Backdraft commented, continuing to deal with the rising flames.
Kamui raised more citizens out of the blaze. "Don't worry, I bet all the heroes in the city are coming!" He hoped someone would show up.
"They can't be serious? They are right here, they have to do something about this. Not waiting for someone to show up." Ren thought.
"What are the heroes doing? They're not doing anything." Nick thought. They're just waiting for someone to show up and fix this problem. "If they don't hurry, things will only get worse."
"I'm sorry kid." Death Arms shaking his fists in frustration. "You'll just have to hang on a little bit longer!" He grunted. "If I only had more power I could blow this guy away!"
Civilians shouted towards the heroes, encouraging them to fight back.
A man turned to a person next to him. "Why aren't the heroes doing anything?" He asked.
"It looks like they've met their match. Plus, it looks like the villain captured a kid." Another man replied. "Things aren't looking good for the heroes."
After hearing their conversation, Midoriya's neck snapped back to the fight, noticing blonde tufts of hair peeking from the sludge. "He captured someone? I wonder how long they've been in there... How can they survive being suffocated like that?" He thought back to his own encounter with the villain. "I thought I'd die after only a few seconds of struggling."
Then confusion began to rise amongst the crowd.
"Wait, I'm confused. Isn't that the villain All Might was chasing after earlier?"
"What? All Might?! No way he lost! Where is he?!"
"Seriously! Why hasn't he shown up to help the heroes!"
"Are they seriously hoping for one person to resolve this problem?" Nick was dumbstruck. He knew that All Might was a well-like hero and everyone had fate in him, almost like some kind of god. "All Might isn't the only hero they should rely on. And chances are he might not show up." He thought.
"Forget All Might for a moment and worry about the heroes that are already here!" Ren thought in frustration.
All Might my be the number one hero, but his just one man and can't be everywhere, solving everyone's problems.
"Damnmit! Why aren't they doing anything!" Ren thought in frustration at the hero's actions of holding Eri closer to make her feel safe.
As Ren was in thought, a light shined on Midoriya and All Might, regret and blame clouding their minds.
Bakugo's eyes widened, fear plaguing his visible features. Upon seeing that, Midoriya broke free from his thoughts, his notebook falling to the ground as he took off. He weaved through the crowd as everyone watched.
This caused Ren, Nick, Toshinori, Eri, and the Pro heroes to gasp in surprise, as their eyes widened as they saw the boy in action.
"No, you idiot! Stop! You're gonna get yourself killed!" Death Arms shouted, reaching out his hand.
Midoriya just tuned them out, picking up speed. Rushing at the villain.
"UGH! This brat again!" The sludge villain.
"...Deku?" Bakugo tiredly whispered, watching him coming closer.
"Just what is that guy doing?!" Ren said in surprise, looking at Midoriya rushing at the sludge villain.
Toshinori just observed the green-haired boy in shock and wondered what could have possessed him to run into the middle of danger like that.
"What am I doing?! Why am I running?! Why can't I stop?!" Midoriya thought, rushing towards the creature. As the villain reached out his muddy hand, Midoriya panicked. "What do I do? What would a hero do right now?!" He quickly thought of his hero notebook, mentally opening up to a page. "Page twenty-five! Right!" He came up with a plan.
"TAKE THIS!" The boy spun, hurling his backpack at the grotesque villain's eye causing him to flinch. The sludge villain then released Bakugo for a moment, allowing him to take a gulp of air. "KAACHAN!" Midoriya shouted, grasping at the sludge villain's body.
"What?! Why are you here?!" Bakugo yelled at the boy.
"I DON'T KNOW! MY LEGS! THEY JUST STARTED... MOVING!" Midoriya shouted frantically, still attempting to release the blonde. "Kaachan,..." Midoriya cried. "I couldn't just stand there and watch you die!"
Toshinori, Ren, and Nick gasped, staring wide-eyed at the boy upon hearing his reason.
"This kid!" Toshinori thought in surprise.
"He jumped into the middle of danger just because he didn't want him to die?" Ren thought in amazement, thinking about how heroic this green-haired kid was. "Could he be the one?"
Nick thought in shock, that this kid was interesting. "This kid is unbelievable." That sounds like something a Sentai would do. Jumping into danger regardless of the consequences and doing everything in their power to help others.
"Just a little bit longer, kid!" The villain addressed Bakugo, switching to Midoriya as he aimed an attack. "AND I'M DONE WITH YOU!"
Toshinori's muscles began to expand, steam rising from his skin. "I have to do something...," He grunted. "No matter the cost!"
Before he could finish his transformation, Ren placed his hand in front of the hero to stop his change.
"Young Amamiya?" Toshinori said in surprise.
"Toshinori let me be the one to do this," Ren said surprising him as he put Eri down.
"B-But if you change in front of everyone-" Toshinori said before Ren cut him off again.
"I know and I'm willing to face the consequences of it, but now is not the time for waiting," Ren said to him before looking at Nick. "Nick, did you bring the briefcase with you?"
"Yes! They're right here!" Nick said pulling out the black briefcase with the Morphers in it.
"Good, 'cause have one ready just in case," Ren said to him. "If I'm right about this then we may have found our second Buster."
Nick nodded to him as Eri pulled on his pants leg to get his attention.
"Are you going to save that person?" Eri asked her brother.
"I am and I'll look cool doing it, just like you want," Ren said to her before rubbing her head.
Eri's face lit up, and she couldn't wait to see Ren in action.
Toshinori wanted to protest but decided to leave this one to Ren since he had already reached his time limit.
The heroes lunged towards Midoriya, panicked. "SAVE THE BOY!" Death Arms ordered. "THIS THING WILL KILL HIM!"
Ren then moved his body in a green/red blur, as he made his way to reach Midoriya.
The sludge villain raised his fist in the air to strike down the quirkless boy. Midoriya fell to the ground and saw an incoming arm, bracing for an attack that never came. But Ren grabbed Midoriya and pulled him away from the villain's attack, at an incredible speed that no one reacted to or saw.
"What the?!" The villain said in confusion as his fist was on the ground. "Where the hell did he go?!"
He wasn't the only one, as the heroes and civilians were wondering the exact same thing as the villain.
"Where did that green-haired kid go?!" Death Arm asks in confusion.
"Did someone save him in time?" Kamui Woods asked.
"Or maybe he moved out on the way in time." Backdraft suggested.
"Hey look!" Mount Lady pointed, drawing everyone's attention to where she pointed.
They saw Ren holding Midoriya by his arms tightly as he was lying on the ground.
"Who's that kid?" Mount Lady said in surprise.
"He just saved that green-haired kid!" Death Arms said looking at him.
"But how? I didn't even see it happen." Kamui Woods said in confusion.
"Oh, great! Not another brat to deal with?!" The sludge villain said in annoyance.
Midoriya then opened his eyes looking at Ren with both surprise and confusion on his face not knowing what just happened to him.
"Not bad kid." Toshinori thought as he was impressed that Ren was able to save Midoriya in time.
"I-I-It's you?!" Midoriya said in disbelief.
"Hold that thought for a moment." Ren said getting up, as he tapped the Transpod.
"TRANSPORT!" A voice from the Transpod announced.
The Ichigan Buster digitally materialized in Ren's hands, as he pointed it at the sludge villain before firing a blast straight at the villain's right eye.
"AGHHHHH!" The sludge villain howled out in pain are he was trashing around. "MY EYE! YOU SHOT MY GOD DAMN EYE!"
"That should give us some time," Ren said turning his attention back to a stunned Midoriya, as Ren helped him back on his feet.
"T-Thank..." Midoriya said still stunned.
"So you chose to help that kid out even know the other heroes were doing nothing. Even know your quirkless too. So let me ask you something important and give me your honest answer. Why did you rush in to save that guy?" Ren asked him in a serious tone.
Midoriya looked at him and he saw something that made him grin. The fire of a hero but most importantly the Will of a Super Sentai!
"Because I want to save everyone even if they don't thank me then that's fine knowing that I did something good to help them out no matter how big or small it is. As long as I can save everyone with a smile on my face even if I don't have a quirk then I'll do it." Midoriya said before he saw Ren smile with a grin on his face.
"Good answer," Ren said as he was glad Midoriya passed his test. "Nick, get over here!" Ren shouted out loud which confused everyone there.
"I'm coming, Ren!" Nick said as he was passing past the crowd of people. "Excuse me! Coming through!" The Buddy Roid finally made it out of the crowd of people and ran towards Ren and Midoriya which surprised everyone as they see the robot.
"Hey, wait! It's not safe!" Backdraft warned the robot, as he ignored him and ran past all the heroes to finally reach Ren and Midoriya.
"Ren! I'm here!" Nick said holding up the briefcase in front of Ren.
"Thank partner," Ren said as he opened the briefcase and grabbed one of the Morphin Brace inside before facing Midoriya. "Well if what you said to me is true then take this. It's time to become something more than a hero." He said leaving a crowd of civilians and the other heroes stunned at what he was saying.
Midoriya looked at the Morphin Brace before grabbing it and wrapping it on his left wrist he then felt a surge of power rising inside of himself as the Morpher was bonding with his D.N.A., giving him new powers.
"What just happened to me?" Midoriya asked looking at his Morphing Brace in awe.
"You learn so enough. Just follow my lead, okay." Ren said to the boy.
"Right!" Midoriya said with a determined look.
Then the two boys started walking side by side towards the sludge villain without fear as a cameraman from the news was filming everything live for all of Japan to see.
"Best of luck you two," Nick said before closing the briefcase and running back to the crowd of people.
"Just who are you and that boy?" Kamui Woods demand.
"Don't worry, Ren's got this," Nick said to the heroes. "And he's going to have some help."
"What are you even talking about?" Death Arms asked.
"Just watch and you'll see." Nick said to them.
The sludge villain recovered from his pain as he was glaring daggers of rage at Ren.
"You damn brat! You'll pay for shooting my eye!" The sludge villain yelled in anger with his eyes closed.
"Attention villain, feel free to resist if you want." Ren sarcastically said to the villain with a cocky grin.
"We'll be kicking your butt either way," Midoriya stated as well with his own grin.
This had only infuriated the villain even more as he blew a fuse.
"YOU DAMN BRATS! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU PUNKS THINK YOU ARE MASSING WITH?!"The sludge villain yelled out.
Ren and Midoriya just briefly looked at each other with a grin before holding up their left arms and moving their right hands to their left arm to twist the dial on their Morphin Braces, causing a pair of yellow shades to open up with a mini hologram of their Buster suits appearing.
"IT'S MORPHIN TIME!" A voice from the Morphin Braces announced.
Then cylinder of green digital energy was formed around both of their feet as it was traveling up their bodies to form their suits. The green digital energy fully formed their outfits and helmets, but the visors were empty and could see both their eyes. The two boys then moved there left arms close to their faces and then pressed a button on the tip of their Morphin Braces.
"Let's Morphin!" Ren and Midoriya invoked as the yellow shades on their Morphin Braces glow green before shooting onto their helmets as the digital energy transforms the shades into visors to complete their morph.
"Red Buster!" Ren shouted.
"Blue Buster!" Midoriya shouted. He was wearing a blue leather jacket and black pants. The jacket had a silver line going across the hips and arms. The outfit also sported black straps with a communication device GB on it attached to the left side. The blue helmet had a silver mouthpiece and a blue visor. The top of the helmet was shaped like a gorilla. However, the eyes were headlights.
