THE VAGLASS RETURNS
Musutafu Streets- Evening
The sky was bright orange as the sun was standing with Ren, Midoriya, and Eri riding down an empty street on the Cheeda Nick motorcycle until they were far away from the crowd of people and heroes.
They eventually, stopped in the middle of the road when Ren thought they were in the clear.
"Okay, this should be far enough," Ren said stopping his bike. "We can get off now." He said to Midoriya.
"R-R-R-Right." Midoriya said nervously as he got off the motorcycle.
Ren got off next before he grabbed Eri under her arms to lift her up off the bike.
"Up you go," Ren said holding her up making the little girl giggle in happiness before placing her down on her feet.
"Thanks, Ren Onii-chan." Eri said to her brother.
"Man, today was something, huh?" Nick said before switching back to human form.
"Yeah, it was," Midoriya said before asking something important. "So do you know how to get out of this costume? It's cool and all but I don't want my mom to freak out when she sees me in this." He asked.
"Oh, that's easy," Ren said before twisting the dial on their Morphing Braces to power down from his suit, changing him back to his street clothes. "Just do what I did and your suit will come off." He showed him.
Midoriya did exactly as he said and in a flash of blue light surrounded his body before quickly fading, returning the quirkless boy back to his school uniform.
"Whoa, that was something. I can't believe I have a quirk now." Midoriya said to himself.
"It's not a quirk." Ren informed him making Midoriya look at him with curiosity. "It's called a Buster Power, and I have one too. You are still quirkless but with special powers." He said.
"Oh, I see then..." The green hair boy said while looking at his Morphing Brace for a brief moment before looking back at Ren. "S-So umm... you're the vigilante that appeared two weeks ago?" Midoriya asked him.
Ren looked at him before rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, that's me." He said before extending out his hand. "The name's Ren Amamiya, but you can just call me Ren. I'm from America before moving here to Japan." He introduced himself to his new partner.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya!" Midoriya said to him as he extended out his hand to shake Ren's hand. "But I guess I already told you that..."
"Nice to meet you, Izuku." Ren said with a friendly smile shaking his hand.
"Likewise." Midoriya nervously said with his own smile.
"I'm Cheeda Nick, Ren's personal Buddy Roid but you can just call me Nick. It's nice to meet you, Izuku." Nick said to the boy.
"It's nice to know you, Nick," Midoriya said before getting a good look at the robot. "Whoa, I just now noticed but I've never seen or heard of a robot like you before." He said with excitement in his voice.
"That's because I'm one of a kind," Nick said with a pose.
"That's amazing!" Midoriya said before looking at the white-haired little girl next to Ren. "So, who's the little girl, Ren?"
Hearing that made Eri slightly flinch as she hid behind Ren and clung tightly in worry.
"Easily, there is. He's not a bad person, see." Ren said holding on to her head as Eri looked at Midoriya once again.
Midoriya noticed this and had a little worried look on his face. "Oh, no I have to do something, or else she'll be afraid of me." He panicked a little before remembering what All Might would do in this situation. "That's right! Just give a bright smile like All Might does all the time." He Thought before swallowing nervously as he walked up to Eri, then bent down to her level.
Eri was a little weird since she didn't know anything about this new person and just trusted her brother's word.
"H-Hey there, my name is Izuku Midoriya," Midoriya said calmly with a bright smile like his idol hero. "Can you tell me what your name is?"
Seeing his smile made the horn girl calm down a bit as she answered his question.
"My name is Eri..." Eri said nervously while holding onto Ren's leg.
"Eri? That's a lovely name you have." Midoriya said closing his eyes while still smiling. "And I love your outfit. It makes you look cute."
"Thanks, my Onii-chan got it for me," Eri said with a light blush on her face.
"R-Really now? That was nice of him." Midoriya said back making the girl stop hiding from him.
"Y-Y-You and Ren Onii-chan were cool fights against that villain." Eri said to him cutely with a tiny smile. "You were a real hero."
This made the green hair boy blush in embarrassment at the compliment as no one ever called him that before.
"T-Thanks, Eri." Midoriya said rubbing his neck while looking away in embarrassment. He then stood back up looking at Ren. "S-So, umm... Ren. I would like to t-thank you for h-h-helping me back there with the villain!" Midoriya said with a bow.
"There's no need for bowing man," Ren said to him. "Because I was just doing my duty as a Super Sentai. Helping people in trouble."
"That's not the only reason why I'm thanking you," Midoriya said before he stopped bowing. "Because of you, I can finally accomplish my dream of being a hero." He said before he had a smiling frown on his face while looking down. "All my life, people told me that I couldn't be a hero because of my lack of a quirk." He said before holding up his left arm to show the Morphin Bracer. "But thanks to this I can finally become a hero that brings smiles to the face of everyone I'll help." He said with a determined smile.
This made Ren, Eri, and Nick smile from hearing that from the boy.
"I happy to hear that, Midoriya. With that attitude, I know you'll make an awesome hero in the future someday." Nick said to him.
Eri nodded to him with a supportive smile.
"That's right, It doesn't matter what anyone says or tells you. You're the only person who gets to decide your future and no one else." Ren said to him with a nod. "If someone tells you've, you can't do it then you'll have to prove them wrong with your actions."
Midoriya thought about Ren's words as they made sense to him.
"Right! I'll be sure to do that!" Midoriya said happily before asking something else. "H-Hey, Ren can I ask you something important?"
"Sure what is it?" The American asked.
"Y-You mentioned during your speech that there were some quirkless heroes. Is that true?" Midoriya hopefully asked.
"Yeah, I know a bunch of them actually. I wasn't lying when I so that." Ren said to him with Midoriya had a beam look of curiosity on his face. "And all of them were able to do amazing things without superpowers. It is just that the people in this world are so ignorant that they label those with no powers without giving them a chance to prove themselves. Not to mention all the other messed up things wrong with society."
"I-I can understand t-that feeling." Midoriya said looking a little worried as he could think back to a number of times people picked on him for being quirkless. "I mean... I'm a perfect example of it, with me being quirkless," He said before looking up at Ren. "And you are completely right, Ren. There are a lot of things wrong about our society, especially when it comes to discrimination and racism. And now that I look back, some of the heroes I know don't even act heroic at all." He balled up his fist in irritation.
"Which is why I want to fix this broken system," Ren said to him with a serious expression. "This world sucks, and yet no one is doing anything about it." He said with irritation.
"You really think it's that bad?" Midoriya asked with so much worry in his voice.
"Of course I do. There's so much evil in this world." Ren said looking up at the sky. "Religion, government, discrimination, heroes, and villains. All of those who manipulate people's goodwill for their own advantage make the world an even worse place." He then looked back at Midoriya. "I wanna know why it has to be like. I wanna know why this world sucks so much, so I can fix the problem and show everyone the truth about this rotten superhuman society." He said with determination.
"The truth?" Midoriya asked in wonder.
"Yeah, what people need is the truth and not the pretty truth. The horrible, awful, terrible truth that hurts people's feelings. The truth that makes people get angry and get up and do something about it." Ren said seriously to the boy. "But I can't do it on my own, which is why I need your help Izuku."
"You really need my help? But why?" Midoriya said as he was taken back in confusion.
"Super Sentai are teams of heroes that work together to fight evil and protect the innocent, and what I'm trying to do is going to take a whole team of people I can trust to have my back," Ren said to him.
"You see Midoriya, we're creating a new hero team of Go-Busters and searching for people just like you who can help us," Nick said to him. "We're going to show the world that having a quirk doesn't make a person a hero and that even the quirkless can accomplish great things too." He said while his hand was slightly up.
"Can you really make something like that happen?" Midoriya asked in awe.
"It's not that I can, It's that I will do it. Even if everyone sees me as a quirkless loser or a vigilante, I will keep on fighting for what I believe is right and give hope to those who have none. I'll show this world the true meaning of what a hero looks like and that being quirkless isn't anything to be ashamed of." Ren said to him with a determined smile. "So I ask you, Izuku Midoriya. Will you help make a new Sentai team and create a world that gives people hope?"
Midoriya looks at the the Red Buster with a widened expression as he is inspired by the Sentai, just how All Might inspired him as a child.
"If that's the case then I'll be more than happy to help you on your goal," Midoriya said to him before holding up his left arm. "After all I am a Go-Buster now too." He said with a smile.
"Alright, we now have two Go-Busters!" Nick said pumping his fist up.
Ren just nodded to him with a happy expression as he managed to recruit a new Buster.
"Welcome to the team, Izuku. Let's change the world together, as heroes and Super Sentai!" Ren said to me giving a thumbs up to his side.
"Right! Happy to be aboard, Ren!" Midoriya said with a bright smile before he felt something grabbing his pants leg.
He looked down to see Eri before she said something.
"So does that mean you're going to help, Ren Onii-chan, Izuku Onii-chan?" Eri asked cutely with bright red eyes.
Midoriya's face heated up as he showed a new shade of red in embarrassment from being called Onii-chan and how adorable Eri was acting.
"Y-Y-Y-Y-Yes, I a-a-am Eri." Midoriya was struggling to say as the stream was coming off his face.
Eri's face grew a smile before she hugged him in happiness which made Midoriya feel even more embarrassed by this. While Ren and Nick couldn't help but laugh at this scenario unfolding.
"It's official, Eri's cuteness is a dangerous weapon that no hero or Sentai can beat," Nick commented.
"Yeah, I just can't win against her when she's like that," Ren said as he remembered the time Eri's cuteness got to him.
Yup, Eri is the most adorable thing to ever appear in the Go-Buster's life.
Eri then let go of Midoriya, who was slowly coming back to his senses as the girl now saw him like an older brother.
"Oh, by the way..." Then out of nowhere, Midoriya pulled out a notebook with an excited on his face.
"Where did that come from?!" Both Ren and Nick thought together in confusion as Midoriya just pulled a notebook out of tin air.
"Speaking of the Super Sentai and the quirkless heroes, do you mind telling me about them?! How do they become heroes without powers?! Their equipment, costumes, and fighting styles! And also about the other heroes you knew! As well as their quirks and how they work! I also so w..." Midoriya was then muttering so fast that it was starting to get creepy.
Ren was unable to tell what Midoriya was saying at this point because he was talking a mile a minute.
"What is he doing?" Eri weirdly asked Nick.
"I have no idea?" Nick said as he was just as confused.
Ren at this point just had enough. "IZUKU!" He shouted, stopping the green-haired boy from speaking any further. "I can't answer any of your questions if you just keep rapidly firing them at me."
"R-Right! Sorry about that Ren!" Midoriya said rubbing his head in embarrassment. "I-I kinda have a b-b-bad habit of muttering w-when I get to e-excited about heroes."
"So you're a fanboy?" Ren simply said with a raised brow.
"Kinda..." Midoriya awkwardly said quietly.
"Nothing wrong with that," Ren said patting his shoulder. "I'm kind of a fan when it comes to anything Tokusatsu series related." He said before letting go of him. "Anyway, I'll be happy to answer all of your questions since we're partners but not right now." The Sentai had a tired look on his face from today's events. "After that whole thing back in the alleyway, I just want to rest and not deal with any hero bull crap until tomorrow." He said letting out a sigh in frustration.
Midoriya could see the frustration on his face when he mentioned the incident and understood that this wasn't the best time for questions. So he decided to hold off on asking anything until Ren was ready to tell him.
"I see, so-" Midoriya was about to say something else until.
"HEY, I'VE GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU BASTARD!" A rough female voice shouted which made everyone jump in surprise except for Ren.
"Ah, for fuck sake..." Ren thought in annoyance as he recognized the aggressive voice.
Then suddenly out of pure instinct alone, Ren sidesteps to the left to avoid a flying kick to the face as the assailant slides along the street creating some smoke that covers their body.
Nick immediately ran up to Eri and held the scared girl in his arms to protect her from the assailant.
"W-W-Who is that?!" Midoriya asked in a freaked-out tone.
The group, except Ren, was wondering who this person was when they saw some white ears pop out from the smoke. More of the smoke cleared from the assailant as it was revealed to be none other than Miruko.
"I-I-I-I-It's the Rabbit Hero Miruko, the N-N-Number five hero!" Midoriya shouted in both surprise and excitement as his inner fanboy was letting out again. "I can't believe it! I really got to meet two Pro heroes from the top 10 in a single day!" He thought.
Miruko just ignored what Midoriya said as she was standing there glaring at Ren intensity with a leg slightly raised.
Ren on the other hand had his arms crossed and a slightly annoyed look on his face as this was the last person he wanted to deal with right now.
"I finally found you, You've Sentai bastard and you're not getting away this time!" Miruko shouted at him with a hateful gaze.
"Miruko..." Ren said in an annoyed tone making the rabbit hero growled through grit teeth with how Ren spoke to her like he wasn't worth her time. "Considering how you knew what I looked liked and how you were able to track me down so quickly is that you probably saw the news." He guessed.
"Did I see the news?! Kid the whole fucking country saw what you just did!" Miruko snapped at him. "Do you have any idea what the hell you've just done?!"
"Yeah, I spoke the truth. Something that you and the other heroes failed to do." Ren said to her bluntly.
Miruko wanted to say something back but stopped herself from doing so when she took a look at others nearby and saw a little girl with a horn on her head who had a scared look on her face. As much as she wanted to kick his ass to the moon, deep down she knew he was right. Everything the vigilante said in his speech was true, on top of that she didn't want to scare that little girl anymore with her being a hero.
"Look if you are here to fight me, then I'm not in the mood right now," Ren said only to make her more irritated.
"The hell you are! Your never in the mood to fight me!" Miruko shouted back at him with her red eyes glaring at her opponent. "You would always run away whenever we fight, and when you are in the mood you skip out halfway like I coward." She argued back while walking up to him and pointing a finger in his chest.
"Well, this time is different. I really am not in the mood right now with everything I just did a few minutes ago." Ren said back as the bunny girl did not look convenient. This only made him sigh in frustration before he spoke again. "You're not going to let this go until you fight me right?"
"You damn right I am! Not until you give me a fight!" Miruko shouted at him puffing up her chest with pride. "So don't even think about walking off without giving me the match that you owe me."
"Wait so, you're not here to arrest us for being vigilantes?" Nick asked her nervously.
Miruko waved her hand as if what Nick said was silly. "At first maybe, but not anymore. I think that you doing a good job for the past two weeks and after today I can tell that you are just a bunch of kids trying to do some good. I just wanted a good fight." She said with a grin. "Listen well boys. You impressed me today. You are both clearly strong and clever for your ages, far stronger than you two should be. From now on, the both of you aren't allowed to lose to anybody else, got it? I'll be angry if you do." She told them.
Hearing this made Midoriya feel pretty good about himself as he had an awkward smile on his face.
"Yeah, that does sound like something you would say..." Ren muttered to himself while rolling his eyes before signing. "Find I'll fight you." He said making the rabbit hero grin with cracking her knuckles in excitement as she got what she wanted. "But not right now."
"Huh, why the hell not?!" The number five hero shouted back.
"As I told you before is that I'm tired and not in the mood for this, I know you're the type of person who wants a challenge when your fighting against an opponent," Ren said to her. "So can we do this sometime next week?" Ren asked her hoping she agreed.
Miruko's eye twitched in irritation, and she pounded a fist into her open palm.
"Grrrrrr... whatever... It's not like I wanted to fight you if your heart isn't into it." Miruko growled at him in a half-shouting tone.
"Yeah it makes sense, you would never accept an easy win, especially not against someone you have such a personal vendetta against." Midoriya stated quietly but the heroin still heard him.
"Of course not, beating him up won't be any fun if he's not giving it his all," Miruko growled a little. "Most villains go down in like two seconds so it would honestly be kinda nice to have somebody who could actually make me work for the win for once." She said before pulling out her phone. "You got a phone kid?"
"Yeah, why?" Ren asked with a brow.
"So, I can contact you for our fight idiot," Miruko said in annoyance. "I'm not letting you chicken out this like all the other times you ran away."
Ren just shrugged his shoulders and brought out his phone before bringing it close to Miruko's phone.
"That's right, Izuku we should exchange contact information with each other since we're going to be working together," Ren said to Midoriya.
"Huh?" Midoriya said in confusion.
"You know that's not a bad idea," Miruko said with a grin as she looked at Midoriya. "I watched you fight too, and you weren't half bad to yourself. I would love to get the chance to fight you next."
"W-W-W-Well I don't k-Know about that, s-s-since I never really b-been in a real fight u-u-until today." Midoriya nervously said to her in embarrassment while looking the other way.
"Really? Then that makes you even more impressive green bean." Miruko complimented which made Midoriya even more embarrassed.
"T-T-Thanks you, Ms. Miruko," Midoriya said to her with a bow.
"Just Miruko, kid. I'm not that old yet." Miruko said to him as he got up.
"Right... So umm... can I maybe..." Midoriya muttered as he was trying to say something but couldn't.
"Some time today, kid." Miruko urged getting impatient.
Taking one more moment to steel his nerves, Izuku spoke. This was gonna be a bit embarrassing for him. He then whipped out his notebook and pen at her.
"Can I have your autograph please?!" Midoriya cried out loud.
This made the rabbit heroin blink a few times before grinning madly, as she grabbed the pen and notebook.
"Sure things, green bean. Since you impressed me today, I'll give you my autograph." Miruko said while opening up the notebook and signing her name in it. "Here you go." She handed him his stuff back, as Miruko was known for rarely giving out autographs that were for special events at children's hospitals.
Midoriya's face was shining brightly as he was fanboying over getting another of the top 10 heroes' autographs in a single day.
"This is the best day ever!" Midoriya cried out in joy while looking at Miruko's autograph.
"Well someone in a good mood," Ren said chuckling.
"He really is a fanboy when it comes to the hero." Nick muttered quietly to himself.
Eri just giggled at Midoriya's happy expression.
"So are you going to keep staring off into space or are with going to exchange numbers." Miruko said losing her patience, snapping him back to reality.
"O-Okay!" Midoriya said pulling out his phone quickly and bringing it up to Ren and Miruko's phones.
After a few seconds, they exchanged numbers with one other.
"So the kid's name is Ren Amamiya, and the other one is Izuku Midoriya." Miruko thought with a tiny grin across her face. "Now I finally got him a reason to fight me."
"I can't believe I got a number from a girl!" Midoriya thought as his heart was beating fast in embarrassment while looking at his phone.
Ren looked at his phone screen to see two new numbers added to his contacts list next to Toshinori.
"Rumi Usagiyama..." Ren thought now knowing the hero's name.
"Hey, you red asshole," Miruko said getting his attention. "You better contact me next week, at this time, in this city though... and don't get caught by any other heroes before I get the chance to fight you." She said relaxed her shoulders, though she had flushed cheeks as well. "If you dare break your promise to me, then I'll kick your ass so hard that even your grandchildren will feel it." She blushed looking the other way.
Seeing this made Ren and Midoriya look at the rabbit heroin in shock, as they didn't expect that from her at all.
Nick was taken aback by the sudden change in attitude.
Eri didn't know what to think but saw that Miruko was kind of cute with her acting like this.
Midoriya had widened eyes and a big blush on his face as he had never seen this side of the rabbit heroin.
Ren couldn't help but have a blush across his face from seeing Miruko ask like this and thought she looked very attractive right now.
"Did she just pull a Tsundere?" Ren thought while looking down on a certain area of the bunny hero.
At that moment Rumi was already turning to look at the black spiky hair boy only to be met with wide eyes and an even brighter blush, despite it being a mere millisecond she was almost positive Ren was staring at her ass as the Sentai quickly turned away to avoid her catching him in the act but was to late because she's already noticed. The sight of this caused her face to turn a little red yet she does her best to push that aside and smug as she turns to Ren and approaches the guy who was avoiding eye contact.
"So, you like staring at Pro hero's ass, huh?" Miruko displayed a smile while elbowing the Sentai who was already slightly sweating.
"I-I was...admiring your tail..." Ren was sweating more at what he said while Rumi's smile grew.
"My tail huh..." An idea sparked in her head. "That's located above my ass, huh..." Miruko could see his inability to look at her so she decides to turn to show him her butt. "If you've like to admire my tail so much, want a feel of it, it's quite fluffy." She said at that point, Ren's blush turned him into a tomato as he immediately turned away.
"No thanks, I'm good!" Ren replied and began to step back. "Now please get your boobs out of here." He simply ordered before blinking as he realized what he said. "...I mean your tits. Your butt. Yourself. Out. Damnmit!" He then tried to salvage his image as best as he could.
This only causes Miruko to burst out laughing at the kids frustrated.
"Hahaha, I didn't take you for an ass man kid." Miruko laughed while saying.
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, Bun Bun," Ren said rolling his eyes before turning to Midoriya. "Hey, Izuku do you mind if we crash at your place tonight until this heat dies down on us."
"Umm, sure... I don't mind, Ren. My mom should be alright with it." Midoriya said knowing how his mother is.
"Then let's get out of here guys," Ren said walking away.
"O-Okay..." Midoriya shuttered while following.
"Coming!" Nick said while holding Eri's hand.
Then the group started to walk away with Midoriya leading the way to his house.
"Hey, you better not forget, kid, or else!" Miruko remained.
"Yeah, I already knew! Later, Miruko." Ren waved her off without looking back.
"See ya, Miruko," Nick said.
"Bye rabbit lady!" Eri said to her.
"G-Good bye!" Midoriya said back embarrassingly.
"Interesting kids..." Miruko muttered to herself before something unexpected happened.
On the right side of the corner street, a small stray dog was passing by and then barked at them, this made Ren's eyes widen before being frozen in place.
"It's a doggy," Eri said not being scared.
Before Midoriya could say anything, he noticed that Ren was acting strangely and Miruko also noticed it as well before running up to them to see what was wrong.
"Nick? What's wrong with Ren?" Midoriya asked him as he looked at his new friend.
"Yeah, why does he look like a statue?" Miruko asked waving a hand in his face to get a reaction but failed.
"Oh no... his Weak Point is acting up," Nick said to them.
"Weak Point?" Midoriya asked in confusion.
"It's a weakness that each Go-Buster has, and Ren's Weak Point is Cynophobia. Whenever he sees a dog, he'll freeze up like this. Ren won't be able to move for five minutes at least." Nick explained to them. "Though... I'm surprised that he freezes up when he looks at dogs. It's like Himoru when it comes to chickens." As he thought in confusion.
"Really?" Miruko said in a surprised tone before her mouth let out a burst of laughter. "Pfff... Hahaha... You're kidding me right?! You mean to tell me the big bad vigilante that's been beaten the hell out of criminals and saved civilians for the past two weeks weakness is a small dog?! Oh my god, I'm never gonna let him live this down!" She laughs even harder while holding her gut.
"Whoa, it's like a quirk backlash..." Midoriya said muttering to himself while writing the information down in his notebook.
"Is Ren Onii-chan, okay?" Eri asked being a little worried about him.
"Yeah, he's fine. Nothing to worry about Eri." Nick said before picking up a frozen Ren in his arms. "Hey Izuku, lead the way to your place."
"Right, Nick," Midoriya said pulling away his notebook and beginning to walk the way to his house with Nick and Eri following him, as the dog was still barking at them.
Miruko stopped laughing and wrapped a tear from her eye before watching the kids and robot leaving in the distance.
"Damnmit, when the hell did I get so soft?" Miruko said with a grin before turning the other way and jumping into the air away from the area.
Unknown to Go-Busters, after a few minutes Ren made his speech to all of Japan, The video of his acted was uploaded on the Internet and was watched by every person in the entire world.
Ren may not have realized it at the time, but what he and Midoriya have done or who they impressed at that moment. As people all over the world watched their fight with the sludge villain and the speech he made afterward, he didn't know how much of an effect his actions had on people.
But one thing was known for sure.
Whether it is Heroes, Vigilantes, Villains, Civilians, or the world's Governments... Everyone now had their eyes on the Go-Busters and their worth.
Also, something else unexpected happened. People got angry...
Hamacho Hotel- Night
Currently, sitting on her bed watching the news in a hotel room with her father out for a moment. Melissa watched as the whole country of Japan was thrown into complete disarray just after a few hours the Red Buster speech was made.
Melissa, saw hundreds upon thousands of people in front of multiple government facilities, police states, hero agencies, and the Hero Public Safety Commission Headquarters, chanting slogans, showing their anger towards the Japanese government on how long they've let this injustice go on for so many years. Their throats were raw and mouths dry, but they kept going, rage fueling their actions.
She sees tons of people having on simple black T-shirts with the Red Buster or Blue Buster helmets, and the Go-Busters logo on the front, while on the back were words 'Super Sentai', 'Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters', 'Quirkless Heroes', and 'Down With Discrimination' in bright colors, and people holding up picket sign with the same writing.
The crowd was mostly of those who were quirkless and Mutant-type quirks as they were clearly showing their anger and frustration.
Melissa may not be a part of the mobs of angry people, but she also had her own build-up frustration she's been holding in for years, as she suffered her own type of discrimination. Apart from her wishes, she was down there showing her own support as Ren's words affected her now and early on today when she met the Super Sentai. As a fellow quirkless person, she understood the pain that society brought her. Even, if in the USA things looked more bright for quirkless, than in Japan.
"A quirkless hero..." Melissa muttered to herself as she felt the inspirational conversation she had with Ren.
Musutafu Streets Tatooin Shopping District- Afternoon
A few hours ago...
Melissa was walking around the city of Musutafu after finally arriving in the country from the hours-long flight. She separated from her Papa not too long ago to explore the city a bit as they planned to meet up later to head to the hotel they would be staying at with their time in Japan.
The blonde American girl was walking into a nearby public park with lots of trees, a giant lake, and a walking path, A sense of peace was instilled within all of the civilians because they knew if conflict ever arose, a nearby hero would easily come and save the day.
"Wow, so many things are in bloom during the spring. Plants, trees," Melissa thought smiling while walking with her hands behind her back, as she took in her surroundings. "And there's so much plant life here, unlike on the Island." Not that she was complaining, as it was a nice change of pace for her to expand her horizons.
The I-Island was an artificial Island that housed some of the world's prominent scientists and researchers where they conducted research on quirks and created support tools and gadgets for Pro-Heroes. The island was primarily funded by numerous companies around the world. It is quite a beautiful place despite the lack of trees in certain areas, as they can only be found in the flora and fauna areas of the island.
"Papa said we'll be here for over a week because of his work, so I might as well enjoy myself until we leave." Melissa thought while looking at the lake as the water was reflecting the sun's light making it even more pretty. "I just wonder just how Uncle Might is doing after all this time? I haven't seen him in years and we rarely only speak over the phone." She thought leading her arms on the support rails of the lake while watching people going on about their day.
"Hey did you hear that news last night?" A middle-aged age woman said while walking her dog, with another middle-aged woman wearing workout clothes. "Apparently, that new vigilante called the Red Buster took down a human trafficking business that was smuggling children without parents overseas." The woman said in a dreadful tone.
Hearing this ended up getting Melissa's attention, as she had both a bit surprised and intrigued expression on her face looking in the direction of the woman who was over conversation. She didn't like to eavesdrop on people but her curiosity won her over as it had something to do with the Super Sentai.
"Yes I did, a group of villains has a human trafficking business that forces kidnapped orphaned children to fight with their quirks in a legal underground match." The middle woman with workout clothes said in a worrisome tone with a hand over her mouth.
Melissa who heard this couldn't help but be disturbed by this with how a bunch of villains were treating children.
"Those poor kids. It must have been a terrifying experience for them to go through." The woman with the dog said she felt bad for the kids.
"But lucky the situation was resolved and the whole operation was shut down thanks to the Red Buster." The middle woman with workout clothes said.
"Yes, it's a good thing the Red Buster was there to help children." The woman with the dog said with a smile. "I know he's vigilant and breaking the laws, but you can't deny the amazing job he's doing."
The other woman nodded in agreement as they continued to talk about something else, with the blonde-haired girl standing there intrigued with a smile after hearing what the vigilante did to help those kids.
"Looks like the Red Buster strikes again." Melissa thought with a smile as she slowly started making her way to the right.
As Melissa was about to walk away, the blonde girl stopped in her tracks when she bumped into a boy with spiky black hair, which made them both fall back on their behinds.
The two teens took a second to recover from their fall before looking at one another in the eyes.
The boy in question was Ren, as he was in the park to take Eri to use the bathroom with Nick helping her and him waiting outside for them. Ren couldn't help but find her, well pretty, with her chest, butt, blonde hair, glasses, aqua-blue eyes, cute attire, and good figure, a true American beauty. She seemed so much more sophisticated than most of the Japanese girls he had seen so far, except for a certain rabbit heroin that was sexy and black hair quite girl that was cute. But there was one word going through the American Sentai mind right now to describe Melissa: Beautiful.
To Melissa, he looked to be American just like her but looked slightly younger than her, given that he doesn't have any Asian trace but there was something about him that let the boy blend in with the crowd. Melissa thought he was handsome with his spiky black hair, black eyes, perfect demeanor, and well-toned body. She never encountered a boy her age that she was this attracted to.
After what seems like the longest shares in both their lives, Ren was the first one of them to come to his senses and be blind before quickly getting back on his feet.
"O-Oh, I'm sorry, didn't mean to run into you there. Let me help you with that." Ren said offering assistance to her with his right hand out, as he was fighting back the light blush on his face.
Melissa was blind as she returned back to her senses before grabbing his hand, he lifted her to her feet with ease which made her curious if he had a strength quirk.
"I-I'm fine, it's also my fault for not paying attention either," Melissa said with a light blush on her face, as she could feel his strong grip.
The blonde girl gazed down at his right arm before moving in closer than Ren thought she would have and rolling up his right arm sleeve. Ren was aware of the closeness but assumed it was out of curiosity, so he just let this play out.
"So, ummm... I know this sudden question to ask, but what type of quirk do you have?" Melissa asked while she began to inspect Ren's body. He definitely had muscle, it was lean and strong muscle.
"Oh, don't have a quirk. This is the result of years of martial arts training." Ren answered nervously with his free hand rubbing his back head.
"Your quirkless?! So, it isn't a strength enhancement quirk huh?!" Melissa said in shock, continuing to inspect the boy as she was still holding onto Ren's arm. "To be this well-tuned without a quirk is truly amazing!" She continued in awe.
"Thanks, but can I have my arm back? Not that I don't mind having a pretty girl holding it for this long." Ren asked making the girl's face turn scarlet at this point.
Melissa immediately let go of his hand, as she backed away from him a little to give the boy some space. "Sorry about that, my curiosity got the best of me again." She said calming down a bit with her hands together in embarrassment.
"I don't really mind at all," Ren said waving it off like he didn't care. "Sooooo, American?" He asked with a smirk.
"What gave it away?" Melissa asked with her own sly smirk.
"Blonde hair, no Asian trace, and possibly the prettiest girl I've seen in my life." Ren said as he started to switch to speaking in English.
The blonde girl giggled as she understood what he just said. "My aren't you a smooth talker," Melissa said talking in English too. "I guess there no hiding it to someone from my home country as well." She paused for a moment. "Nice to meet you. My name is Melissa Shield." She introduced herself to him.
This made the Sentai a bit surprised as he didn't show it.
"Wait, Shield? As in the American family that Toshinori told me about?" Ren thought as he remembered that the number one hero did say something about him being friends with a famous American inventor. "If I'm not mistaken then you must be related to Dave Shield? The world recognized scientist from the I-Island, who had made suit designs and support gears for many heroes'." He asked the girl.
"Yes, I'm that Dave Shield's daughter," Melissa said with a bit of pride in her voice. "So what's your name?"
"Oh right, I'm Ren Amamiya, but I like to go by Ren." Ren said introducing himself.
"Ren, huh..." Melissa said with a finger on her chick before smiling. "That's an interesting name you have there."
"Well, it's not as pretty as you are Miss Shield," Ren said back with a grin.
Melissa's face heated up with a blush then refused to meet his gaze, her eyes darted away from Ren's face to the ground as if she just realized that this was the first time a guy was talking to her like this, and it had just now sunk into her mind.
"You can just call me, Melissa." Melissa said looking back up at him.
"Sure thing, but If you don't mind me asking, What are you doing here in Japan?" Ren asked her.
"For my Papa's work of course," Melissa answered smiling as she walked over to the rails next to the lake, leaning on it with her back. "He here's on a business meeting for the next upcoming I-Island Expo in a few months, and asked me to tag along to help him with his work and since this will be my first time in Japan." She explained as Ren walked up next to her, leaning on the rail as well.
"I see," Ren said with interest. "So you're an inventor just like your dad?" He asked the girl.
"Yeah, Papa taught me everything he knows about creating support gear and other tech," Melissa said with a smile.
"Like father, like daughter, huh..." Ren said with a little chuckle. "You must be some sort of a genius like your old man." He remarked.
"Well actually..." Melissa said softly. "Not too long ago, I was getting terrible grades. That's why I've been studying so hard lately. I've got to be a good student if I want to be a hero and since being a scientist is the only way I can help people." She said bitterly as this got the boy's full attention.
"What do you mean by that?" Ren asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm actually, um... quirkless, like you." Melissa said, awkwardly as the boy's eyes widened in surprise from hearing that. "Yea, it's-"
"You're quirkless too?" Ren said as he paused for a second to think about something that just came to his mind. "You wanted to be a hero, didn't you?" He asked with a frown on his face.
"Yeah... I always wanted to be a hero, but after I turned five and was told I was quirkless, I pretty much gave up on being a Pro a long time ago." Melissa said, a little sadly. "But after dad and Uncle M-... I mean my Uncle, told me about how being a part of a support crew meant that I could be a hero to pros, I decided that I could be just like my dad and make support gear for heroes!" She said with a determined tone in her voice.
Ren looked at the girl in amazement at how far she was willing to help others despite her lack of powers.
"You are a really amazing person you know that Melissa. Despite all the crap the world has thrown at you, you still want to help out in your own way and I can respect that." Ren said to her with a smile.
"Thanks, Ren," Melissa said smiling back with her eyes closed. "Luckily, I had another big goal that was close to my heart."
"What was that?" Ren asked.
Melissa reopened her eyes before placing a hand on her chest. "To be like my father. Papa didn't have a quirk that would let him be a hero, but he supported heroes with the power of science. He's still fighting for peace, just indirectly."
"I guess without all the inventions and costumes that your dad makes, then heroes would be struggling a lot more to do their jobs," Ren commented. "Guess it goes to show that you don't need the power to help someone, and you want to be someone who does that too." He understood.
"Yep," Melissa answered. "That's how I'll make a real difference. Or at least I hope so."
"I know so because a real hero is someone whose actions go unknown," Ren said before saying something else. "Which brings me to a question I want to ask you."
"Oh, and what is it?" Melissa asked in curiosity.
"Have you ever thought about being a hero without a quirk?" Ren seriously asked.
Melissa was a token back from the question, as she didn't expect to hear that.
"W-What?" Melissa said with a stunned expression.
"I asked have you ever thought about being a hero without a quirk?" Ren asked her again in a serious tone. "Because having a quirk doesn't matter when you try to be a hero." He explained.
Melissa had a slightly sad look on her face. "I... did, a while ago. Then I realized I could be much more useful to society if I stayed in a lab." She explained. "I already accepted my role as a sidekick." She admitted with a slight frown on her face staring at the ground.
"Why?" Ren asked her.
"I mean, what's quirkless little me gonna do in a big fight between heroes and villains?" Melissa sadly said with her head down.
"I wouldn't go there, no..." Ren suddenly spoke up in moderate opposition.
"Huh?" Melissa looked up in confusion.
Ren just let out a sigh before speaking again.
"Look Melissa, I don't know what everyone fed to you growing up about the quirkless unable to become heroes, but quirks aren't everything for a hero. Anyone that just relies on their quirk is a one-trick pony. And in the hero business, you can't be one. Otherwise, you'll end up a dead horse." Ren said with a smile at the blonde-haired girl.
Melissa looked at him in awe. "I-I suppose..." Melissa tilted her head, curious as to what Ren was getting at.
"And if you still have doubts then I'll have to prove you and the rest of the world wrong by becoming the first ever quirkless hero in history," Ren said making her look back up in surprise.
"W-W-What?! Your plan on being a hero without a quirk?!" Melissa shouted in disbelief.
"Yeah, what's so hard to understand about that?" Ren bluntly said making Melissa blink her eyes in more surprise. "I want to make a statement to everyone in the world, that even a quirkless person like myself can be a hero. I plan to be the first-ever quirkless hero in history, and show everyone that having power doesn't make a great hero." He raised his hand to his heart. "Is that having the heart of one can be more powerful than any quirk out there,"
"He's more willing to be a hero than me, and I'm quirkless too." Melissa thought in complete shock, as Ren also wanted to be a hero but he's quirkless as she is. "Your serious about this?" She couldn't help but ask.
"Deadly serious," Ren said without hesitation. "I want to be a hero, not because I want to be like All Might or other heroes who are looking to be famous, Melissa. I want to make the world a better place, but there is the hero that doesn't take their gifts for granted and abuse their power for personal gain. I want to be a hero to remind people that quirkless people are just as capable as those with quirks, and to remind our current Hero Society about what it means to be a hero because this current society is descending into a path where Pro-Heroes will side with whoever pays them more rather than doing what's right." He explained to her.
Melissa was in awe and saw Ren in a different light. Here is a young man who just like her, has ambitions in becoming a hero yet limited by their quirklessness.
Yet their goals are different, Melissa wanted to be a hero so that she could save lives and the lives of Pro-heroes. Ren was different, he wanted to be a hero to do what's right and make the world a better place, but most importantly he wanted to prove to the world that quirkless people like her and himself could be heroes and that Ren wanted to remind the Pro-Hero Society about what it means to be a hero.
And the way Ren stared at her when he spoke, she was lost in his eyes. She can see selflessness, bravery, strength, and righteousness in them which Melissa blushed but quickly calmed down.
"Sorry about doubting myself like that, it's just surprising to see a fellow quirkless person who hasn't given up their dream of being a hero like me," Melissa said with a light blush.
"What's so unbelievable about it, is all I have to do is work my ass off to get into a hero school," Ren asked as he raised his eyebrows at that.
"But how will you do it without a quirk?" Melissa asked wanting to know.
"By building up my body," Ren suggested.
"Your body?" Melissa said in confusion.
"Yup, I'll build up my muscles to strengthen my body and learn some form of martial arts or weapon skills to even up the score, since I don't have any superpowers," Ren said giving his advice from what he had seen the Super Sentai do. "Due to my leach of a quirk, I'll have to rely on technology and martial arts skills." He then looked at the blonde girl before saying something. "And I'm pretty sure you could have done the same thing too, by making support items and other equipment to help you fight against the villain." He suggested to her.
Melissa gasps at Ren's advice with widened eyes before looking shelled shocked as if something just smacked her dead in the face, with the sound of glass shattering in her mind.
She could have become a hero with the support items she makes! God, she was a freakin idiot for not even thinking of something like on her own!
"I... I never really thought of that before." Melissa said in complete disbelief as she didn't think about using support items to be a hero.
"Most people don't because they believe having a flashy strong quirk is what you need to be a hero, but that's a lot of BS. There are plenty of heroes out there who don't have any physical powers." Ren said to her. "So if don't have a quirk to help you fight, then use your body and brain for what you lack. Quirks are just tools for a person to make saving lives or beating villains easier. Any power can be useful in any situation if a person knows how to use it properly and you don't need one to save lives. That's a fact that most seem to forget." He wisely spoke to her.
Melissa just stared at him, listening to the boy without saying a single word as she could see the confidence.
"Melissa, you're a smart, beautiful, young woman who would make a great hero. I'm willing to give you the support that everyone else didn't when you were younger." Ren replied with a positive attitude.
Melissa's face blushed a little bit after hearing what he said. "Is that even possible for me? The best thing I can do is support someone with tech I make." She knew she couldn't do it. She just submitted and accepted it, until Ren. "I turned my sight to science, thinking that I could become someone like Papa. A hero for heroes. I thought, that it was enough for me. That I should be content with it." First tears streamed down from her eyes. "Yet hearing you and… your drive to being a hero… I felt ashamed of myself. I didn't think about using technology to be a hero like you are doing. I just… I was so broken by it…" Melissa looked at him with her red, puffy eyes and shaky, broken smile. "Do you think, that despite everything, I can still be a hero?" She asked still having doubts.
A sharp pang struck Ren's heart to his annoyance. He can only imagine the pain and discrimination she felt every day, and it just made him angry. Smiling lightly, but putting as much feeling as he could in it, Ren answered in a soft, serene voice.
"Of course you can. All you have to do is try and never back down. But you gotta believe you deserve it, not to mention clear your head of doubts." Ren offered her support, placing a hand on Melissa's shoulder. "And when you do, you'll be blown away by what you can do." He said looking in her teary beautiful eyes. "Even if you accepted the fact that being a scientist is the closest thing you do to helping people, there's still a part of you inside that wants to be a hero. When your heart longs for something, you need to be stubborn and do not give in. You can be quirkless, but it doesn't mean that you can't be a hero." A huge smile showed on his lips. "If anything it gives you even bigger motivation to prove everyone, who ever doubted you wrong. Yourself included."
Melissa was now speechless at the words she just heard. The smile of Ren reminds the American girl of her Uncle Might who reassures people with a fearless smile. She wonders if he could become the next All Might due to his great advice. She feels confident about her dream of becoming a hero now.
Melissa sniffed and lifted up her glasses to wipe off the tears. "Thank you for that. I… I really needed it." She said in a wobbly voice. Taking a few deep breaths and straightening her back, she gazed at them with a huge, graceful smile on her lips.
Ren counted it as another great achievement in his path to becoming a Super Sentai. He saved another broken person and most likely gave the world a great future Heroine. He couldn't wait to see what type of person she'd become in the future.
"So, how was it?" Ren referred to his little speech.
Melissa looked down and chuckled softly. "It was a little chalky..." She replied.
"Oh, we all know that..." Ren said with a little drawl and a laugh before getting serious again. "So are you going to decide what to do? It's your life, your decision."
Melissa looked a little unsure as she gave a weak smile. "I don't know, but I finally think I can become a hero." She said back.
"Well, whatever choice you make I hope you do regret it in the end." Ren said to her before giving off a cheeky smirk. "Also if you're looking for a trainer, I would be your teacher. I think I can teach you some moves."
Melissa just smiled and caught the hint, as this wasn't the first time a guy flirted with it happening all the time back on the I-Island, giving her looks as if she just turned them down. But for some reason when Ren does it, she doesn't really mind so decides to play along with him.
The young woman walked up to his face, put her right hand on his chest, and then put her left hand under his chin. Ren and Melissa were looking at each other both in their eyes, and honestly, Ren was feeling hot right now as he kept up his poker face.
Melissa decided to up the antsy by moving her head near his right ear, and the girl soon brought her lips to the boy's ear. Ren could feel her warm breath and his pants got tighter as he waited for anticipation.
"Nice try~" Melissa whispered in the black-haired boy's ear and that boy only slightly chuckled a bit.
"Can't blame a guy for trying right?" Ren said back to her with a grin.
"Nope~" Melissa said letting go of his body. "But it's a good start." She said with a sly grin before whining at him.
"God, she's awesome." Ren thought to himself as he looked at her perfect body.
"Man, he's so cool." Melissa thought as she looked at him.
"Hey, Ren!" A new voice shouted making the two American teens turn to the voice.
They see Nick, who was holding Eri's hand while walking up to them, as this cause Melissa to look star stock at the Buddy Roid with her inner scientist started to fire up before squealing like someone half her age.
"So did you guys finish up?" Ren asked them.
"Meh," Eri replied with a nod.
"Yeah, sorry to keep you waiting," Nick said to him before he noticed Melissa standing next to him. "Hey Ren, how's your new friend?"
"Oh, this is-" Ren was then introduced as Melissa ran up to inspect Nick like a hyperactive kid on sugar.
"Oh, my goodness! I'll never see such an advanced robot like you before!" Melissa shouted while invading Nick's personal space and asking dozens of questions, as Buddy Roid was overwhelmed by the blonde girl.
"Well take about a change of personality." Ren thought in amusement as he thought this side of hers was adorable.
"So, do you have a name by chance?" Melissa said still checking out Nick's body.
"Cheeda Nick, I'm Ren's personal Buddy Roid, miss..." Nick awkwardly said to her.
"Oh! How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself." Melissa coughed before stepping back from the robot and gave a beautiful smile. "I'm Melissa Shield, nice to meet you, Nick." She said before turning to Ren. "So Ren, did you make Nick your or something?" She asked in curiosity.
"No, not really. He was given to me by someone else." Ren awkwardly said as he didn't know how to answer the question without revealing too much. "It's kinda complicated to explain."
"Oh, I see then. It's on a need-to-know basis, right?" Melissa asked with a raise.
"Yeah, something like that." Nick said to her.
"Then I want to ask anymore," Melissa said with a bit of disappointment, with another giggle coming from the blonde girl before something caught her eye.
A little girl with white hair and a horn on her forehead was hiding behind Nick's legs, looking at her with trepidation.
Before she could question who the child was, the child looked over towards Ren.
"Ren Onii-chan? W-Who is this lady?" Eri asked heading behind Nick in worry.
Melissa had a blank look on her face. Did she hear the child right? Brother? But they don't look anything alike.
"This is Melissa Shield, Eri, and she's a new friend I just made while waiting for you and Nick," Ren replied while switching back to Japanese with a reassuring smile. "Why don't you say hello?"
Stepping out from her hiding spot, Eri gave a small bow. "H-Hello. My name is Eri." Eri introduced herself the best she could.
"H-Hello, Eri." Melissa said, still trying to comprehend what she heard. She then turned to Ren. "W-Why did she call you 'Onii-chan'?"
The boy rubbed the back of his head. "W-Well, that's because I found her living on the streets by herself and took her in. Ever since then she's started to see me as an older brother and has been calling me by that name." Ren explained to her.
It took a moment for the information to set in and when it did, Melissa had so many questions right now but doesn't not to press the subject.
Melissa looked back at Eri and looked into her big red eyes, as the American girl's heart was beating fast before doing something unexpected. With speed that they didn't think was possible from the Quirkless girl, Melissa scooped up the child and held her close.
"Ah, you're just so cute!" Melissa exclaimed as she nuzzled Eri, causing the little girl to be stunned for a bit before she started to giggle happily. "I'm going to spoil you rotten!"
As Melissa continued to dote on Eri, Ren, and Nick were discussing what the hell just happened.
"Please refrain from spoiling my little sister. The last thing I need is for her to grow up into one of those handful of teenage girls." Ren asked as he didn't want to imagine Eri like that when she got older.
While Melissa pouted at the dig before releasing her from the hug, Eri asked a question of her own.
"What does spoil mean?" Eri asked, looking up at her brother and Nick.
"It's not a good thing, Eri," Nick replied as he remembered the time he helped raise Hiromu when he was a kid. "Someone who is spoiled is the exact opposite of your brother, who worked hard to get where he is and wasn't just handed everything to him." He explained to the little girl.
"I want to be like Ren Onii-chan when I grow up then!" Eri yelled.
Ren smiled at this before rubbing her head. "I know you will, sis." He said making Eri happy as she hugged him.
Melissa could only stare at Ren and Eri, as she feels a little jealous of their brother-sister type relationship.
"Ren..." Nick said getting their attention. "We should get moving soon or else will be later for the movie." He reminded his partner.
"Right, almost forgot." Ren said picking up Eri in his arms.
"What's this about a movie?" Melissa asked them.
"We've been taking Eri to all sorts of fun places today and the movie is our next stop," Ren said to her.
"Oh, I see. I guess I shouldn't keep you waiting then." Melissa said with a smile. "It was a real pleasure to meet you all, especially you Ren, and the great advice you gave me." She looked thankful.
"I'm happy to help because that's what a hero does best," Ren said with a grin.
"You're right about that," Melissa said with a giggle.
"Anyway, later Melissa, and good luck," Ren said before turning around in the other direction and starting to walk away.
"Bye-bye miss pretty lady!" Eri said waving her off.
"It was nice to meet you, Melissa!" Nick said with a quick bow before catching up to the others.
"Bye, guys!" Melissa yelled back as she watched them walk away. Then a smile grew on her face remembering the conversation she had with Ren. "I hope to meet you again real soon, Ren Amamiya." She thought before heading back to the hotel where she and David were staying.
Hamacho Hotel- Night
Present
Melissa was an idiot. Correction. she was a fucking moron. Melissa was so angry and disappointed at herself for not thinking of using the support items she created to become a hero. How could she not realize something so simple, even knowing it was literally right in front of her face the whole time? While she was wallowing in self-pity and just listening to the people around her, the blonde teenage girl didn't even bother to try to think of a way to be a Pro hero like her Uncle Might and other heroes whose powers make them look quirkless.
Sure, she had the right to think like that since that's how most quirkless people like her thought of when they learn they have no powers. But to a fellow quirkless person like herself who didn't give up on their dream of being a hero? She was pissed at herself.
Ren was right about a number of things. Screw them and everyone else who thinks that the quirkless can't be heroes without powers. Those racist idiots may think little of the quirkless, but that didn't mean she still couldn't turn her dream true and be a hero like Uncle Might and the Red Buster.
A little after coming to the hotel that she and her father were staying in, Melissa's mind only had one thing on it and that was Ren.
Ren's speech managed to emotionally affect a lot of people from all over the world to the point civilians were protesting, rioting, and committing actions of vigilantism in his name. She even got a text message from one of her friends at the I-Island saying that people were also having multiple protests on the artificial Island and from all over the rest of the world as they wanted true change.
When Melissa watched multiple videos of the Sentai in action, who was barely two years younger herself, she was astonished by his costume and technology. Her attention was completely focused on him, standing up against people with pretty powerful quirks, breaking multiple laws just to help people and the advanced gear he possessed. At first, the American blonde assumed, that Ren had some kind of speed quirk with how fast he was moving. But then when he said he was quirkless to her and watched his battles, Melissa's jaw dropped to the floor when she realized that it was his costume that gave him those abilities.
Melissa's theory was correct when she saw a quirkless green hair boy rushing in to save another boy being held hostage by a villain until Ren came to his rescue at the last second and gave the quirkless boy a device that made a costume appear on his body and superpowers.
She thought all her life that she couldn't be a hero because she had no quirk. All the people she knew said those things and discouraged her from being one and told her to give up on such a dream because of her quirklessness.
What she saw today... Proved them completely wrong in every way.
She watched Ren fight villains and save the lives of the innocent multiple times with technology alone and now had a quirkless ally helping him in his fight against injustice.
Melissa felt stupid. No, stupid was an understatement. She was ashamed of herself for not thinking of a way to become a hero without a quirk.
"Go-Busters! Go-Busters! Go-Busters! Go-Busters! Go-Busters!" The people cheered, they shouted on the TV.
The news helicopters pointed their spotlights at a number of the protesters in the crowd, as the scene kept on changing to other crowds of protesters in cities and other countries.
For Melissa, It ignited something inside her that was begging for a release.
Ren and that green hair boy or Go-Busters actions, have shown her that it is possible to be a hero even without quirks.
His speech was a testament to that.
Ren Amamiya had proved that she could be a hero if she'd tried.
One week after the Red Buster made his appearance in public, she joined many forums about the Go-Buster and his technology. The forums focused on the Sentai hero costume and transports, as tech that advanced didn't exist in their world yet and attempts to make such devices haven't made any progress. She indulged herself in many conversations and speculations about just how exactly the Go-Buster tech functions, showing off her knowledge.
She even tried to look for any information about these Super Sentai that the vigilante mentioned during his fight against Muscular, but couldn't find anything about them, which surprised her a bit. She even asked others in many different forums if they knew anything about the Super Sentai, but they all came up with nothing as they couldn't find any information about the Super Sentai. This got Melissa even more curious to learn more about these heroes and the Red Buster.
Another week later her father David had a business trip in Japan and invited Melissa to join him, as this would be the perfect chance for her to visit Japan for the first time and to get to see her Uncle Might again after a few years since they last met. Luckily for her, she got the chance to meet Ren, even know she didn't know he was the Red Buster at the time. Talking to the boy made Melissa realize a few things she never really thought of before until now and him saying that he's going to become a hero without a quirk. But now knowing he was the same vigilante that she admitted for the past few weeks, her respect for the Super Sentai rose even more.
She wanted to meet Ren again as she had so many questions to ask him, but she feared, that she wouldn't be able to look straight into his eyes, due to her weakness.
Before she could think of anything else, the door to the hotel room opened up revealing David, who had a bag full of takeout food for two people.
"Melissa, I'm back with the food," David said walking in before closing the door behind him and placing the food on the table.
"Welcome back, Papa." Melissa greeted him as she walked up to get her food. "So did things go well at your meeting today?" She asked
"I... I wish it did." David told her, sincerely and regretfully while taking out both of their foods and handing them to his daughter. "But Sam and I are finally getting concrete results. And at the same time, the board is calling my project potentially dangerous. I have to get it done as soon as I can before one of them gets it in their head to shut us down." He said determined to not let them shut down his project. "Other than that, things are going pretty well for the upcoming I Expo."
"That's great to hear. I hope everything works out." Melissa said in a supportive tone.
"I hope so too, sweetie," David said before turning to the TV to see if the protesting was still going on. "I still can't believe that one boy can cause this much disarray in just a short amount of time. I don't know if I should be impressed or terrified by this." He said as he was watching the news.
"It just goes to show how much what Ren said had that much-affected people. Just like me..." Melissa said with a slight frown on her face that didn't go unnoticed by her father.
"Sweetie, are you ok?" The father asked his daughter in concern.
"No, I just can't believe I didn't think of using technology to be a hero, hell There are multiple heroes who use tech to help with their quirk and there are those who have powers that make them quirkless." Melissa sadly said in frustration. "I wonder how I can be a hero, just like Ren and that green-haired boy." She was wondering how she could be a Hero.
He sighed as if he wanted to avoid this topic altogether. "Is this about a crush or infatuation you have for him?" David asked.
"Wait, WHAT?!" Melissa waved my hands in front of me to conceal my face. "NO, IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!" She denied it with a blush on her face. "As if I could have a crush on a guy that is younger than me, especially one I just met today. But… he's well-toned with a great body, and he overall has a great personality and the confidence to back it up! I just want to learn about him more and his technology!" The girl thought as her face was heating up. "T-This is partially for the sake of curiosity. I just wonder how he has held up for so long as someone quirkless and what drove him to such lengths to become a vigilante. Wondering if he has felt the same things I have." She said.
"But all joking aside, are you planning on being a hero just for one boy?" David asked calmly after he teased me.
Melissa calmed me as well after thinking before opening up her laptop to play a video of Ren's vigilante deeds and saying. "You have heard of his achievements after his fight with the villain Muscular and seen the battle against the Sludge Villain, where he gave a quirkless boy a device that helped them fight the villain. He became the first quirkless person to achieve so many heroic deeds without a quirk. He is a lot like me in that regard." She said connecting it to myself.
"To think such a device actually exists. It's revolutionary." David said pushing up his glasses while watching a clip of the Red Buster and studying his gear. "These devices and tech could easily make anyone quirk or not a hero." He commented that in all of his years as an inventor, he had never seen such technology as this Go-Buster. Even that red robot that can turn into a motorcycle was something that he didn't expect. "Maybe I could make something like that," David said with a glint in his eyes. "With the right tools and proper information, I could make at least a decent replica."
"Actually! He's showing the entire world that being quirkless is nothing to be ashamed of and also giving hope to those who face discrimination every day, just like Uncle Might! And if what he said about there being quirkless heroes is true then it's possible for me to be a hero as well!" Melissa said with hope in her eyes.
"That may but you still haven't answered my question," David said with a serious expression. "Are you seriously planning on being a hero?"
"Do you not want me to?" Melissa was afraid to ask.
"W-Well part of me wants to say no," David said with a heavy sigh as his parent side was worried for his daughter's safety. "But this is your future, and I want to support you as best I can." He then looked her in the eyes. "So you really wanted this, Melissa?"
"Yes, Papa. When... I learned that the Red Buster or Ren was quirkless and all the actions he's been doing the past few weeks, I….I figured he could be a huge inspiration for quirkless people everywhere, especially with his speech. Just look at the TV and all the people who were affected by his words alone." Melissa pointed at the TV screen with tons of angry protests. "It's just when… You see someone like Ren, who believes so strongly in what he's doing or… Uncle Might works so hard to convey his thoughts and inspire other heroes to become like me… and nothing can stop them,... It makes me want to give it my all as well. So for that reason alone is why I…... I want to help people as a hero. I want to be a part of something bigger than making support items and to show everyone that quirkless people like me and Ren me can still achieve great things." She said with fire in her eyes.
David just silently listened to her daughter and could see the fire in her eyes. It reminded him of the same look Toshinori had back in the good old days with his time in America as his sidekick. This was a look that was saying she wasn't going to take no for an answer.
After a minute of silence, David gave in with a heavy with his eyes closed before opening them up.
"Okay. If you want this then I won't stop you from being a hero." David said to her.
Melissa's eyes brightened up from hearing this and hugged her father with a big hug. "Thank you, Papa, for supporting my dream to be a hero! Thank you for supporting my decision!" She hugged him even tighter, which made him tense up for a few seconds, before he calmed down, and hugged me firmly around my shoulders.
"But, I at least want you to think hard about this before making a decision," David said to her with a tiny smile.
"Yes, I understand Papa." Melissa understood before letting go of him. "I'll be sure to think more about this decision before we leave Japan."
"Good, now let's eat before the food gets cold," David said to her.
"Okay!" Melissa said as she began to eat. "I have to be sure to see Ren again before leaving Japan! There's still so much I need to ask him, especially about the Super Sentai!" She thought determined to find him again.
"I hope this Ren would be the person that you think he is, Melissa." David thought as he opened his phone. "I wonder what Toshinori is thinking about all of this?"
Midoriya Resident- Night
The sun finally set with it being nighttime, with all the street lights on and Ren, Midoriya, Nick, and Eri were on their way to Midoriya's house with the green-haired boy leading the way.
They rounded the corner to his apartment complex and started walking up some stairs to where Midoriya lived.
"This is my place," Midoriya said as they were standing in front of his apartment door.
"Are you sure your mom will be okay with us staying here?" Nick asked.
"Knowing her, she'll be alright with it." Midoriya said with confidence before pulling out his house key to open the front door.
"Let's hope so," Ren muttered to him while holding Eri's hand.
Then as the door opened, they walked inside before closing it behind them.
"I'm back Mom!" Midoriya called from the front door. "I brought a friend!"
"IZUKU, MY BABY BOY YOUR OKAY!" Inko shouted from another room before running full speed to where her son was and pulled him into a tight embrace as she was crying up a storm about how reckless he was.
"Whoa, that's some quirk." Ren commented as he was watching tons of water flowing out of Inko's eyes like a water hose.
"Not... her... quirk..." Midoriya grunted as he suffered his mother's embrace.
Ren and Nick couldn't help but deadpan from that info.
"That's not physically possible for a person to produce tears like that," Nick said in surprise.
"That's sounds like anime logic there." Ren said to himself.
"Oh son, I'm so proud of you! But I was so worried!" Inko said, tears still pouring as she hugged him.
The whole incident was caught on live TV and Inko had seen it all. Now as much as she was worried about her son she was also furious at him for going headfirst into danger.
"Mom I am ok, I swear, also you're breaking my ribs here…" Midoriya managed to say as his mother hugged him in her bear hugs.
When they had gotten home, Inko had immediately pulled Midoriya into the hug and hadn't let go in 10 minutes. As Ren, Nick, and Eri silently watched on the other side of the room.
"Ok, but please promise me that you will never do something like that ever again." Inko looked him in the eye and frowned. "You're all I have Izuku and I can't bear the thought of losing you." She looked at Izuku as she spoke.
"I know Mom and you won't have to worry about that ever again, I can use this new power to be the best hero ever!" Midoriya gave her a trademark smile as he said this.
"Speaking of, what is this new power?" Inko asked her son.
"I can answer that for you." Ren said getting her attention.
"You're that boy from the news. The vigilante..." Inko said as she finally noticed them, and promptly spoke. "Thank you for saving my son from that villain. May I please know your names?"
"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Midoriya. My name is Ren Amamiya." Ren said to her in a polite tone.
"Hello, I'm Cheeda Nick," Nick said with a bow.
Inko then noticed a little girl who had a scared look on her face while hiding behind her brother.
"Oh my! Who is this little thing!" Inko yelled and quickly walked towards the girl. She then crouched down until she was able to look at the child closer.
"Hey, it's OK. Come on, she's friendly." Ren said as he gently pulled the girl out from behind his legs.
Eri hid her face from Inko in Ren's left leg to avoid eye contact with the woman who was a bigger stranger to her than Midoriya. It was clear that she was scared.
"Don't be scared, Eri. My mom won't hurt you." Midoriya said as he got down on his knees and hugged the little girl. It was strange for him to hold a child, but he knew that she needed help and he was going to help her.
Eri turned her face away from Izuku's chest to look at the older woman. Somehow, she got enough courage to speak to Inko.
"H-Hello, I'm Eri," Eri said in a low voice.
Everyone smiled at how Eri was able to find the strength to open up to one of them.
"It's very nice to meet you, Eri. Don't worry, we're all not going to hurt you. I promise." Inko assured the girl as she embraced the girl in a hug.
Eri looked up at her and couldn't help but feel warm and safe when Izuku and Inko held her in their arms. She then placed her face into Inko's shirt just to keep feeling safe. Ren and Nick just watched this and couldn't help but smile at how Eri has come so far in opening up to others.
"Thanks for that Mrs. Midoriya. She kinda has trust issues with it comes to meeting new people." Ren said to her.
"Please call me Inko." Inko said before letting go of Eri. "How do you know Izuku?"
"He's a new friend I made and a teammate." Ren didn't know what to say.
"A friend and teammate you say?" The excitement in her voice was way too obvious for Midoriya's liking.
"Just be cool, Mom." Midoriya quietly pleaded.
"Oh, I'm so happy my baby boy made a new friend! I'm so happy!" Inko shouted in pure happiness.
As Inko hugged the life out of Ren and let her tears gush free like a wild hose, Izuku and Nick just began to panic as they saw Ren struggling for her, with Eri being confused at what she saw.
"What is with her and hugging people to death?!" Nick asked in concern.
"Mom, please! Let him breathe!" Midoriya yelled in worry.
Regaining control of herself, Inko let go of the boy and backed up a few steps while she wiped her eyes dry.
"I'm sorry about that, dear. It's just… It's been a long time since anyone has befriended Izuku. So….thank you for being kind to my son." Inko said to him.
Ren just stood there taking in her tone and thinking a bit more deeply about it.
"It's clear she cares for her son. But she sounds so sad at the same time. Izuku told me that he was quirkless, so it makes sense that he was bullied for it. It must have done a number on her too, seeing her son like that." Ren thought before bowing to the woman. "It's nothing you need to thank me for, Inko." He said to her.
Inko smiled as she looked up and down at the boy again and gave her eyes one last wipe with her hand. "Oh, I'm sorry again. You were about to tell me something about Izuku's new powers?" She said.
"Yes, you see that Morpher I gave him on his wrist is what helped him fight against the villain." Ren said while pointing at Midoriya's Morphing Brace.
"Why did give my son that Morpher?" Inko asked in a serious tone this time. "He could have been hurt or worse when he went up against that villain. Don't get me wrong, Ren. I'm grateful for you helping Izuku, but he is my only son and I want him to be happy, but why him and not the thousands of heroes?" She asked.
Ren wasn't surprised by that question as it was natural for a mother to worry about their child's safety.
"Because your son showed the qualities of what it takes to be a Super Sentai," Ren said to her with a smile. "But it's not like I would have picked anyone to be a Sentai."
"What do you mean by that?" Inko responded in confusion.
"Izuku has something that most people in this world don't have. The heart of a true hero. Which is why Ren tested him first to see if your son was the right person to become the Blue Buster." Nick explained to the woman.
"Inko, since coming to this country, Izuku is the only person I personally met who actually wants to help people without asking for anything in return." Ren said to her before placing a hand on Midoriya's shoulder. "Which is why I'm willing to do everything I can to help him reach his dream of being a hero." He said to the mother.
"I feel the same way too. Izuku has what it takes to be a Sentai just like Ren. And I'll give him my support as well." Nick added in.
Eri nodded in agreement as she believed in Midoriya as well.
Midoriya nodded with a smile on his face and then looked at his mom.
"Well Mom, what do you think?" Midoriya asked as he tried to see what she was thinking.
She stayed quiet for a moment before looking at them. "Ren and Nick, can you both promise me he will be safe… and that he will come home to me every day?" Inko asked the two.
"We can promise that we will guide and protect him to the best of our abilities, but from what I have seen him do already I do not think you have anything to worry about," Ren said with a smile on her face.
"I'm pretty sure you know being a hero isn't an easy job. He'll get hurt and injured just to fight a villain and save lives. But we can promise to watch his back." Nick said with a nod.
With that, Inko nodded and looked at Izuku.
"You're still going to be a hero even know you'll be a Sentai?" Inko asked her son softly. It frightened her that her son wanted to do a dangerous job of being a Pro Hero and being Quirkless made her anxiety worse watching the news and hearing about critically injured heroes or Heroes that were killed in the line of duty.
"Yes, Mom. Because now I can finally be more than just a hero! I'm a Go-Buster and Super Sentai!" Midoriya said with a determined smile across his face.
"I will not say that I will stop worrying about you, it's my job as a mother to worry about my son. But I have always known that you will be a hero no matter what I say or do and I have always supported you. So just make sure that you do your best as a Go-Buster." Inko said softly.
"I will mom, I swear I will be the best hero I can be." Midoriya said to her with a nod.
"And, Ren and Nick..." Inko said looking at the two. "Please watch over my son for me."
"Of course./Ok!" They both said to her.
With that out of the way, Midoriya brought up something else.
"Hey Mom, if it's okay can they stay the night with us?" Midoriya asked his mother.
"Stay the night? I don't really mind, but what about their parents? They must be worried sick about them?" Inko said in concern.
"You don't need to worry about that. I texted my guardian and they've said we can spend the night here." Ren said to them.
"I see, then please come in and make yourself comfortable. I'm almost done with dinner." Inko said to them.
While Inko made her way back to the kitchen, Midoriya led Ren, Nick, and Eri to the living room where they sat down on the couch.
"Nice place you got here," Nick said looking are the house.
"Thanks, and sorry about that." Midoriya apologized. "But I did tell you to be prepared for her hugs."
"I was prepared for an outburst in volume. I wasn't prepared for the hidden strength your mother has in her body." Ren retorted. "But she does seem like a nice person and a loving mother."
They took a few sniffs in the air. The scent brought a smile to their faces.
"And whatever she's cooking sure smells amazing," Ren commented with a grin.
Even Eri was drooling from the mouth at the scent of the food.
"Oh yeah. My mom is an amazing cook. If you love the smell just wait until you taste it." Midoriya said smiling now.
"I'm looking forward to it and what about you, Eri." Ren said too.
"Yeah! I can't wait to try her cooking." Eri happily said making the three chuckle at her.
"Hey Midoriya, what about your dad? Is he coming home soon?" Nick asked the boy.
"M-My dad..." Midoriya said as a frown appeared on his face while looking down. "He died a few years ago. It's just me and my mom." He sadly said to them.
The others felt incredibly bad after hearing that from the boy.
"I'm sorry Midoriya. If I knew I wouldn't have asked." Nick said in a regretful tone.
"I-It's find Nick! I know you didn't do it on purpose!" Midoriya quickly said to the robot. "Sorry don't worry about it okay."
"On top of being quirkless, his father is dead." Ren thought with a sad expression. "Just how much does he have to suffer before the universe leaves him alone."
"Hey, Ren," Midoriya said to him getting his attention. "You're going to tell me more about the Super Sentai tomorrow right?"
"Yeah, since we're going to be a team and all," Ren said to him with a smile.
"Then I'll look forward to it!" Midoriya said excitingly looking forward to learning about more heroes.
"Izuku! Ren! Nick! Eri! Dinner is ready!" Inko called, causing the group to jump up in response.
"Alright, let's go eat! Cause I'm starving!" Ren said rubbing his hands together.
"Yeah!" The others said before heading to the kitchen.
Musutafu City- Night
Somewhere else in the middle of the night in the city of Musutafu, at a construction site. A young man with dark brown hair was seen, wearing a cloak, he had on goggles as the left one was broken, and had a portable storage pack over his right shoulder. He was walking casually through the construction site without a care in the world, with a laptop in his hand.
This was Enter, a General Avatar of the Vaglass and the enemy of the first Go-Busters.
"This world is a superhuman society with both heroes and villains that have strange abilities called Quirks. Intéressant, but that doesn't matter because we will have to wipe out this trés bien from the world." Enter laughed with an evil grin on his face while walking past a number of objects that were used for construction.
The Vaglass avatar didn't know why, but he just suddenly woke up in this new world after his defeat against the Go-Busters, Kyoryugers, Abarangers, and Zyurangers. Not that he was complaining or anything, since he, his master, along with the rest of the Vaglass was also revived by an unknown main.
Enter then walked into a warehouse heading to a Power Shovel before placing the storage pack, then knees down to plug in a cord before standing back up and hooking in the end of the other cord into his personal laptop to connect the two together, as he opens up the laptop with it turning on. The Vaglass symbol is the first thing that appears on Enter's laptop before the streaming of orange data changes the background to a private communication room where Enter can talk to his master.
"Allô, Allô, Allô!" Enter said speaking in French as he waved his right hand around elegantly. "I have returned to deliver my report on this new world. my Majesté, Messiah."
Then suddenly a giant skull face head made of data digitally appears in front of Enter.
This was Messiah, the evil computer virus and leader of the Vaglass.
"Enter, as I said before my destruction... Is that I would return." Messiah said as his head was flickering in and out.
"Yes, and here you are Majesté." Enter said to his boss with a tiny smile. "But this new world now is completely definitely from the one we originally came from. The good news is this world has Enetron in it and I've already located a long quantity of it, but the bad news is that the humans here have evolved to the point that they've developed superpowers." He informed his boss of the situation.
"Human... Humans can not be allowed to exist! Not in our new world!" Messiah said with rage.
"Majesté, fear not." Enter said calming down his boss. "Even if those humans 'quirks' do make them more powerful than average, there is still not much against our might." He said looking at his fingers before closing his hand.
"Yes, humans are weak... We are stronger." Messiah agreed.
"Oui, oui, oui! Majesté, just leave everything to me. By tomorrow the city and humans living in it will be destroyed, and then you will be freed to rain over this world as you wish." Enter said before passing a button on his laptop to end the communication line as the background changes back to normal.
Enter then pulls out another extended cord from his cloak plugs it into his laptop and then places a microchip patch on the Power Shovel.
"Time for a little bit of MetaVirus..." Enter said pulling out a small case full of credit cards holding the MetaVirus. He then pulls out one of the cards before holding up his laptop. "Install!" He said while swiping the card onto the right side of the laptop like it was a cash register.
With that done the MetaVirus was being installed into the object, while Enetron from Enter's storage pack was flowing into the Power Shovel as it started to glow green a bit.
"SHOVELLOID! SHOVELLOID!" A voice on the laptop said while the Power Shovel started to transform and reshape into a humanoid mechanical monster.
This was Shovelloid, a shovel-themed Metaloid using the "Kaziru" Metavirus.
With the installment complete, the data on Shovelloid from Enter's laptop was being sent to a different location for another purpose, Enter had an ecstatic look on his face as he knew what was coming next.
Hyper Space
In a different dimension with the sky crimson black and ruins of the old Energy Management Center, several Buglars were on a giant supercomputer console, and others working around the base doing something important for their cause. They were preparing to teleport a MegaZord Beta type and a few others into their world, with a timer counting down how long the transfer would take.
Musutafu City- Night
"Welcome back, Shovelloid." Enter said to him with a smile.
"It's good to be back and now I'm ready to start some chaos," Shovelloid said before walking away.
"Now in the next few hours, the Festa will soon begin! I hope this world's so-called heroes will be ready for what's to come!" Enter happily said to Shovelloid.
"Makes no difference if they do have superpowers! Their as good as die now that I'm back in action!" Shovelloid said before destroying a metal door with his shovel claw with ease. "Hahahahaha!"
In the next few hours, all of Japan... No, but the entire world is about to face a threat that they've never seen before.
Midoriya Resident- Afternoon
In the middle of the afternoon, Ren, Nick, and Eri were currently in Midoriya's room, They were talking to each other to get to know one another better, with Ren reading one of Midoriya's notebooks, Nick and Eri playing with each other, and Midoriya on his laptop looking at the news.
Since the incident yesterday, Midoriya decided to stay home today from school to avoid any unnecessary hassle from others.
"So you wrote all of this yourself?" Ren asked looking through one of Midoriya's Hero Analysis for the Future notebook. "Because this is impressive."
This is like Batman-level stuff right here! Midoriya has analyzed a shit ton of quirks to the point that he can see their strengths and weakness, and how to work around and improve them! It's almost scary how much of a keen eye this kid has when it comes to quirks!
"Thanks, I've spent years watching and analyzing a number of heroes and villains ' quirks to help me become a great hero myself in the future," Midoriya said with embarrassment. "Some people think me doing this is a waste of time though..."
"It's not a waste of time, if anything this is one of your greatest gifts." Ren said putting down the notebook. "You shouldn't feel embarrassed or ashamed about having such a useful skill. If anyone thinks it's stupid, then there just an idiot."
"Thanks, Ren! No one ever said that about me before." Midoriya said with happiness as he was on his laptop, watching some kind of video.
"So what's you looking at there?" Ren asked getting up from his bed at Midoriya's laptop.
"O-Oh, just a video about us but mostly you and what we did yesterday," Midoriya said with discomfort in his voice.
"Interesting... Play it." Ren asked with Midoriya nodding before starting the video.
"Welcome to H.N.N. news, For our first story today we shift away from the hero society into the illegal world of vigilantes, or…. not?" The Newswoman said.
"That right for the last two weeks a new vigilante has made himself known in Japan, calling himself Red Buster. However, just a few hours ago the vigilante's identity was revealed to be a teenage boy who looks to be under 15 years old."A newsman said as a video of Ren and Midoriya morphing was shown. "And apparently it looks like the vigilante now has a new accomplish working with him, that goes by the name Blue Buster."
"That's right, according to the vigilante those two are part of a team of vigilantes that calls themselves the Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, or Go-Busters for short." The newswoman said.
The news then goes go and go about their actions against the villain, and the speech Ren made as everyone in the entire world has seen it by now. Many were angry at him for how he spoke about their society, but there were also even more people who agreed with what he said about how messed up their society was. A quirkless boy trying to save his classmate while pro heroes stay behind watching and a vigilante jumps in to stop a dangerous villain, but then the two boys with strange devices that let them change into colorful hero costumes to fight and defend the villain, with the Red Buster leaching the heroes afterward to the speech he made throughout the country.
The video had already generated over a million hits within five minutes after posting and the numbers kept on raising.
The first hundreds of comments all wanted to know who the Go-Busters were. The next several were immediately erased because of the raunchiness of the female viewers about what they wanted to do to the two said Sentai, which made Midoriya madly blush in embarrassment. Several more wanted to steal their tech for themselves or have them arrested for breaking the law and it just continued from there.
Ren shook his head at some of the ludicrous statements he'd heard over the last few days and yesterday. Ever since he started his vigilantism in this new world, the rumors had spread like wildfire each one becoming more ridiculous than the next.
The Go-Busters could move faster than the speed of sound.
The Go-Busters was bulletproof.
The Go-Busters could fly.
The Go-Busters were able to twist and rip a gun apart with their bare hands.
The Go-Busters shit golden turds.
The Go-Busters can make women orgasm by glancing their way…
The list went on.
At this point, people were just making stuff up, but one thing for sure is that didn't matter to him. Ren was just glad that people were finally waking up to see the truth about their world, hoping it would be enough to change it.
"Your speech is the number one watched video in the world in only a single day," Midoriya said nervously, as though somehow that was their fault. "Plus with all the protesting that's been going on all over the world." There was always a drawback to a good thing, he supposed as the video of Ren's speech had the number of viewers for that particular video was displayed.
"You two have become quite the celebrities now." Nick noted while looking at the numbers.
"All of those people like you two?" Eri asked them.
"Some more than others, but It is still hard to say," Midoriya said to her.
"But I like you both." Eri said cutely.
"We know Eri," Ren said rubbing her hand which made her giggle.
"So what now?" Midoriya asked in curiosity.
"We wait and see what happens next," Nick said to him.
"Nick's right. After what I did yesterday, the best thing we can do is lay low until all of this blows over." Ren suggested.
Midoriya nodded in agreement as laying low was the best chance they could do right now.
"Izuku and Ren, can you come here for a moment!" Inko called out in a loud enough tone for them to hear.
"Yah, Mom we'll be out in a second!" Midoriya shouted back
"I wonder what she wants?" Nick asked in curiosity.
"Don't know, but let's not keep her waiting." Ren said getting a nod from them.
Then the four of them walked out of Midoriya's room, making their way to the living room to be greeted by the sight of four individuals and Inko as they were all standing down.
The first was Toshinori in his skeleton form wearing a business suit.
The second one is Nezu with his usual smile.
The third one was Tsukauchi who was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and a tie.
The last one was Aizawa as he was eyeing the boys and robot.
Midoriya was shocked to see All Might in his home and three other men he'd never seen before.
Nick was also surprised by this as he looked a little worried about seeing Toshinori and Tsukauchi again.
Eri was confused by this as she didn't know what was going on but stood close by her brother's side.
"Well damn. I didn't think they would come and see us so soon." Ren thought to himself as he kept up his poker face, even know he was a little caught off guard by the unexpected visit.
"M-M-Mom? W-W-W-hat's going o-on?" Midoriya struggled to ask in fear.
But Inko was silent as she also had a worried expression on her face.
"Hello there, am I a Mouse, Bear, or a Dog? I am Nezu the principal of U.A.! And It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Go-Busters in person!" Nezu said as he gave them a smile.
