Welcome back, everyone! In the last chapter, Hiccup is cruel, but this is a /darkHiccup Story, so it's expected to get brutal. It will continue like this and maybe get worse but I always looked for Storys where Hiccup was the villain, and in this Story, Hiccup will be the villain. So if you don't like reading about a brutal, ruthless killer, Hiccup, don't read it. For the rest, enjoy!

Chapter 9

A lone ship was spotted sailing towards their island. Agnar Halstein, Chief of the Hræzla Tribe, stands at the docks with some warriors, waiting for the boat to dock. The ship reached the docks, and ropes were thrown toward the boat to help it dock. When it was secured, one man made his way off the plank. The village could see that the man was not in the best condition. The man looks around, and when his eyes land on the chief, he immediately runs toward him. Stopping a few feet before him, he bowed in greeting, "Chief Halstein, I bring concerning news to you and the rest of the tribes." Seeing that it is a difficult situation, the chief put a comforting hand on the man's shoulder, "I think it would be best if this is discussed in the hall with the council, where you can get something to drink." Nodding, the man was led toward the hall.

After they reached the hall, the doors were closed with the council, the chief, and the messenger inside. "I have called for this meeting since we are brought a message from Arvid Elof of The Bjargs Tribe." he told the gathered men. Steeping forward, Arvid began to speak, "I have terrible news. The Bjargs Tribe and Village... has been destroyed. I'm the only survivor." he said in a tone full of grief. The men gasped in shock. The chief demanded angrily, "Who attacked you?! And how many were taken as prisoners?!" "I'm afraid that there were no prisoners taken. Everyone was slaughtered. When I was sent off, only the children were left, but I don't know what happened to them. And to who attacked us, it was no tribe or army. It was a single man with one dragon. He called himself the 'Death Angel'. He told me to spread the word that he would come to every tribe, and no one would be safe."

After Arvid finished with his message, he sat down. "You expect us to believe that ONE man and ONE dragon could eliminate every warrior you had?! We know you're not defenseless, so how was this possible?!" one of the council members demanded. "He was young and small, but how he fought was unlike anything I've ever seen. He had unbelievable strength. When he first entered the village, he killed our chief in seconds. We set up a trap when he returned, but he knew we were waiting for him. If you want proof, sail to my island and look at what's left." As Arvid said, the council members looked at each other, wondering if this could be true. Agnar stood up, gaining their attention, "We will prepare ships immediately and set sail as soon as possible to Geirvor and see for ourselves if what he said is true. Meeting dismissed." With that, the council left to prepare the boats.

It took them about two hours to get everything ready, and once they were, three ships with ten men aboard each set sail toward Geirvor. The sail would take about an entire day so that they would reach at dawn the next day.

(The next day at Geirvor)

When the scouts on the ship spotted the island, they could still see the smoke in the distance. Seeing that sent shivers down their spines since that would indicate that everything Arvid said was true. Reaching the docks, they jumped off their boats and started entering the village. A few almost threw up at the sight before them when they reached it. Everywhere they looked, they could see burned houses. What was worse were the brutally slaughtered bodies lying around—children's bodies. Some of the corpses were decapitated, stabbed or burned.

Reaching the Hall, they stopped at the doors. They saw the bodies of the warriors who fought, and near the center of the Hall lay the chief's body. Sighing, Agnar turned to his men, "Pile up the bodies. We will make a mass pyre for our fallen comrades. From the looks of it, the threat Arvid told us about is true. When we return to Kalfskinn, we will send letters to every ally we have and tell them to send their allies the same letter. Everyone gets to work." Everyone started piling up the bodies and set them ablaze. Within the next 30 hours, letters had been sent out, and scouts had been deployed to look for this boy. For now, they could only hope to eliminate this Death Angel.

(With Hiccup and Toothless)

After returning from their raid, they sat down in their cave and got dinner. After dinner, Hiccup went to the forge to look at his weapons. Inspecting them, he can see that he needs to repair the sword he blocked the axe with and sharpen both blades. Before he got to work, though, he remembered something.

/FLASHBACK/

Hiccup was seven years old, running toward the forge since he was made the apprentice last year. Right now, a dragon raid was going on, and he thought it would be best to help Gobber in the Forge. On his way there, he got told to get out of the way and stay inside. It still hurt that the village treated him like that for almost two years.

Reaching the forge, Gobber greeted him with his usual sentence. "Finally decided to join the party? I thought you've been carried off." Gobber said as he hammered on a bent sword. Hiccup just greeted him with an "Uh-huh" Putting on his apron, he started heating damaged weapons since he was only allowed to warm and sharpen them.

After a few minutes of working, Gobber rushed to help the others. While Hiccup was alone in the forge, he didnÄt notice a Nadder creeping up on him. he saw it just in time to evade its fire. Running out of the forge, he ran to the nearest alley to hide. Looking out of it, he saw that the dragon decided to fly off and do something different. Hiccup now realized that he had an excuse for why he wasn't in the forge; he decided to look around a bit.

When he reached one of the catapults, he heard a whistle being built up. Looking up, he saw a blue fireball hit the catapult, destroying it entirely and making him fall back. After he stood up again, he looked around at all the debris that had been thrown around. It was then that he noticed something.

Walking over to it, he picked it up. At first, he thought it was just a burnt scale, but looking closer, he noticed it was a piece of metal from the catapult. It was a pure black that seemed to suck in all the light giving not even the slightest reflection. Putting it in his pocket, he decided to do some tests later.

Later on, he got scolded by his father. Again. After that, he went to the forge and started his tests. First, he tested its strength and discovered it was incredibly strong, almost unbreakable. Second, he tried to melt and work with it. He found it could be melted, but it would make it get silver again. Disappointed, he told himself if he ever got this kind of metal again, to keep it.

/END OF FLASHBACK/

Testing his theory, he called Toothless over. He took some scrap metal and told Toothless to shoot a blast at it. At first, he was confused, but after Hiccup asked again, he complied. The result had Hiccup beaming. The whole metal was the same black as in the past. With that, he started repairing his weapons. After he was done with that, he laid them on the floor and told Toothless to shoot both of his swords. The Nightfury did as he was told, and the results were just as Hiccup expected. Picking them up, he walked toward the stone wall. Giving one swing, the blade embedded itself into the wall. Pulling it out, he saw that there wasn't even a scratch on the sword. Smiling darkly, he sheathed his weapons. He repeated the process with the tips of his arrows.

After he upgraded all of his weapons, he made himself five throwing knives and two daggers which would be hidden in his armor. (I forgot to mention that it's the armor from Httyd 2, only the helmet is different) Each one of his daggers was sheathed on top of his forearms. Three throwing knives were on the back, and the other two were placed in each of his boots.

Now fully armed, he met up with his dragon. "Toothless, we could go out and find more dragons. Some to spread a message and some to 'talk' them into obeying us." The dragon looked at him, "You're right. It's time to spread the message to the dragons, but we need to move to other islands since there are not many here. How do you want to call this place anyway?" "Any ideas, bud?" "Since you named yourself 'Death Angel', don't you think it would sound good to name this place 'Death's lair'?" the dragon suggested. "You know what. I like it." Hiccup said as he patted his head. After that, they saddled up and left to find some dragons.

On the first island they reached and overflew, they could make out three Nadders, two Gronckles, four Zipplebacks, and one Monstrous Nightmare. "Think we can assemble them all in one place?" Hiccup asks his friend. "Just attack one, and the rest will come to look at what's going on." "Alright. How about we start with a Zippleback?" "On your signal." With that, he directed Toothless to the nearest Zippleback. As the famous whistle started to build up, the dragon looked up, only to be met with a blue fireball, hitting its wing and grounding it. The fight began.

Landing, Hiccup dismounted and pulled out his weapons. Toothless stood at his side, snarling at the dragon. "We give you one chance. Submit to us or die." Hiccup told it, walking toward it. "Never!" it screamed and charged at him. Hiccup kept calm and ignored the other dragons arriving. They would refrain from interfering since this was a challenge. As the Zippleback tried to snap its jaw at him, Hiccup stepped to the side and swung its neck, giving it a painful cut. The first head recoiled in pain while the other tried to hit him with its head. Hiccup jumped over it and ran down its neck, giving it a stab in the back, earning another pained scream from the dragon. Turning its back on Toothless, trying to face Hiccup, the Nightfury took this chance, biting at the tail and ripping one off. By now, the Zippleback lost a good amount of blood. Charging at the dragon, Hiccup gave it another cut on its front leg and managed to cut off its hind leg. The pain made the Zippleback drop to the ground in defeat. Looking up at the Nightfury and the boy who beat it, they whimpered and begged for mercy. "You're no use to us now that you are crippled. We told you we will kill you." Toothless said with no emotion in his voice. With one fluid motion, Toothless ripped off one head while Hiccup cut off the other.

Turning to the viewers, he looked at each of them while asking, "Anyone want to die too? If not, submit or die." The dragons looked at each other. The boy didn't think it could beat all of them. One Gronckle charged at the boy by shooting a lava blast at Hiccup. The boy jumped to the side and threw one of his swords at the Gronckle, hitting its mark dead center between the eyes. It dropped to the ground motionless. By now, the other dragons had begun the look a bit worried. Two Nadders charged next at the same time. One shot its spines at Toothless while the other snapped at Hiccup. Toothless destroyed the spines with one of his blasts and jumped forward, tackling the Nadder to the ground. Clamping his teeth around its neck, he pulled out a chunk of meat, making the Nadder bleed and drown in its blood. Standing over its body, one paw resting on top of it, Toothless let out a victorious roar. Meanwhile, Hiccup rolled under the Nadder, stabbing it in the leg and coming out behind it. Turning around, the Nadder shot a flame, but again, Hiccup avoided it easily. Taking one of his throwing knives, he threw it and hit the dragon in the eye. It tried to fly away, giving off a painful screech, but Hiccup was faster. Jumping toward it, he pushed one of his daggers into the Nadders leg and pulled himself on its back while it was a few feet above the ground. Taking both swords, he cut the dragon's left wing off, making it fall back to the ground. Rolling from the Nadder, he stood in front of it. Walking over, he pulled the knife out of its eye and raised his sword, "How foolish to think you could win." he said, bringing his blade down deep into the dragon's neck.

The other dragons lowered their heads in submission, showing that they would follow every order of them. The Nightmare even spoke up, "We will do as you say, my lords." Toothless and Hiccup smirked at each other. That was precisely what they wanted. Looking at one of the Zipplebacks, he said, "You will spread the word that should any dragon come across us, they either submit or die. The rest will follow us." The dragons nodded before flying off. The Zippleback broke off from the group while the others approached Death Lairs.

(Berk)

The letters from the Hræzla Tribe reached Berk. When Stoick first read it, he couldn't believe what he was reading. He called a meeting for the village and addressed them, "People of Berk. A new threat arises. I got word from the Hræzla's, and they said that the Bjargs Tribe is no more. Furthermore is the reason for the destruction of the Tribe. It is said that it was one man riding a dragon." Instantly shouts of 'Traitor' and 'Blasphemy' rang through the crowd. Stoick silenced them, "I know what you think. But this 'Death Angel' as he called himself, slaughtered every one of them except one he left as a message. And yes, he even killed the children without mercy. The most shocking thing is the description given of the man. By how they described him, they made it look like... Hiccup... is the one responsible for this." he sighed heavily. Now the village was silent.

That is until one voice rose, "Hah! You believe that! Anyone could snap this twig with one hand! And that runt riding a dragon? As if!" The voice belonged to none other than Snotlout Jorgenson. The village gave shouts of agreement. The chief silenced them again, "It doesn't matter who or what he is; the important thing is that out there is a ruthless killer who knows no boundaries. From now on, I want ships patrolling the waters and improving the defenses. We are Berkians! No less will we not be brought down by one man and a dragon!" he bellowed, raising a fist. The village was roaring by now.

The teens met later in the great hall to discuss this 'Death Angel'. Snotlout was the first to speak. "If that guy shows up, I'll beat him up and kill him with one arm behind my back!" he said, flexing his muscles. Trust that idiot never to take a threat seriously. Astrid rolled her eyes, "I don't know why they make such a fuss about ONE man. I mean, come on, he can't be that good." She slams her fist on the table. Fishlegs replied in a shaky voice, "I-I don't know. I wouldn't want to meet him if what they said was true. I-I m-mean, an ENTIRE village destroyed by one person?!" They all looked at him with an unreadable expression. The rest of the night was spent with Snotlout flirting with Astrid or saying how he would beat this guy. The twins made chaos as usual, and Fishlegs was reading the dragon manual. Astrid was thinking about this guy and if he was true.

I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know what you think about it! Until we meet again!
