Chapter 175: Birth of an Heir

A dark room was shown as a single light appeared above someone. The person was shown kneeling as if meditating; in front of them was a lightsaber, as it was their only weapon. A deep and concentrated breathing occurred as the person focused their mind. Soon, the lightsaber began to react to them as it wobbled a bit before leaping into the air and into their hand as they turned it on, and a red blade came out. The red light hummed as it illuminated some distinguishing features of its users, most notably their signature bacon-colored hair.

Sunset growled and yelled as she stood up and deflected several droids trying to kill her. The whole room lit up as the girl ran through her daily survival drills and slashed and destroyed all her foes. The girl was tapping into the power of the Dark Side as its grip on her tightened, feeding her anger, hate, and every evil emotion. The girl was being watched by someone who was evaluating her skills.

"Flawless timing, perfect control, and great skill of infiltration," said a droid holding a tablet as they looked at Sunset's training.

Sunset was shown running at high speeds as she used the Force in ways she could never get under Celestia's tutelage. Within moments, nothing but destroyed droids and destruction remained at the girl's feet. The teen looked about as some clapping was heard; she looked as there was her Master who was applauding the girl, to which she bowed.

"Most impressive. You are more powerful than when I first saw you," barked Dooku.

"The Dark Side gives me strength, my Master," said Sunset.

"You wear the trappings of the Sith. You fight and train like the Sith, but this can be imitated. However," spoke Dooku as he jumped down and stood before his apprentice. "You lack one vital quality to become a Sith truly. The Sith have no fear. You must master this to become one with the Dark Side of the Force."

The Sith Lord then turned and shot out Force Lightning as it nailed Sunset directly in the chest and threw her back. The girl grunted in pain as more lightning was fired at her, which shocked her; Dooku up the voltage as Sunset struggled to hold on and show no fear. She was reminded of how she did the same to Storm, and the boy overcame his nerves to fend her off. Wanting to complete her quest for power, Sunset willed herself to take it. Slowly, the girl began to stand up while being shocked as she loudly cried as the darkness inside her heart responded to her call. It infected her mind, and Sunset used it to fuel her anger and hate as she broke the lightning, shocking her and growled at her Master.

Sunset pulled out her lightsaber and turned on as she stared down her Master; Dooku smiled rather evilly at Sunset for passing the first part of the test as he drew his blade. The girl then quickly lunged, to which he sidestepped and quickly went for a slash behind her back as she backflipped over him. The two then exchanged blows as they exited the room; they soon arrived at one of the grand halls as Sunset jumped onto a table and quickly jumped just as Dooku sliced it in half. The Sith Lord jumped as both were now trading attacks while in the air as they came down.

The teen managed to land a kick just as they were about to hit the floor as Dooku skidded to a halt. She yelled as she lunged forward, which was blocked by the Sith Lord, who didn't even look at her. Sunset kept on the pressure as she made Dooku step back; they clashed their blades against each other as they held in place. The teen noticed some chairs nearby and stuck her hand out to make them head toward Dooku. The Sith Lord noticed them as he pushed Sunset's lightsaber back and slashed at the chairs.

The Sith Lord looked about the room, as he didn't see Sunset. Just then, he smiled as he sensed the girl attempting to attack from behind; he used his Force powers to make a chair block her lightsaber. He then struck at the chair; it broke the item and clashed with Sunset's blade before he stuck his hand out to pull her lightsaber away and into his hand. He then struck his other hand out as he used the Force to push Sunset to the floor and aimed the tip of his blade at her neck just as she looked to sit up. The girl eyed her Master, expecting him to finish the job and strike her down, but Dooku didn't.

"The Dark Side is strong with you, but you still have much to learn," said Dooku before looking up past his apprentice. "Have you been watching, Master?"

"I have indeed, Lord Tyranus," said Darth Sidious as his hologram image appeared behind Sunset as the great villain had wanted to see Sunset's worth. "The child's skill with a lightsaber is most impressive. They far exceed the skills of your former apprentice."

Sunset grumbled as Dooku retracted his blade, allowing her to sit up. The girl hated that she lost as she recalled her lightsaber back into her hand.

"You have found a promising disciple, my apprentice," said Darth Sidious to Dooku. "She serves us well."

"Well, if it pleases you, I have some information that I believe will be quite useful," said Sunset.

Soon, a ship was shown flying from the planet as inside was Sunset. After informing her two superiors of what she uncovered, Dooku gave the girl a special mission; after inputting the coordinates, the teen smiled as she zoomed out of the planet's atmosphere. Watching the ship was Dooku and the hologram of Sidious.

"I do not doubt that she will complete her mission," said Dooku to his Master.

"She is merely an instrument to bring forth the eradication of the Jedi," stated Darth Sidious.

"There, try that," said Twilight.

Storm was with the princess as she had requested his aid in testing something. The Jedi now had a device strapped around his wrist as he looked at it. He then looked up at one of the castle towers, closed one eye, and aimed the device at it. Soon, a hook shot out as it flew through the air and attached itself to the tower; within seconds, the wire began to reel the Jedi in as he was taken off his feet and into the air. Storm flew toward the tower as he cut the hook off early, and cartwheel flipped onto the top.

"Oh, yeah!" said Storm as he felt the adrenaline rush kick in.

The boy began to run as he jumped off the tower and threw his arm out. The grappling hook shot out and attached to another tower as it reeled Storm in quickly, and he cut it off just before it reached the tower as he flipped onto the top. Twilight was watching as she saw Storm swinging and repelling from tower to tower; the boy soon reached Twilight's tower as he swung around the tip of it, and landed on the roof as he looked about the castle and the kingdom.

"This is awesome! Woo!" shouted Storm as he looked at the grappling hook he was wearing. "Tell me any other Jedi who has a grappling hook."

"Storm!" called out Twilight from down below.

The boy then jumped as he landed on the ground. He took off the device and tossed it to the princess.

"Works like a charm, Sparky."

"Glad to see the trial run ran smoothly," said Twilight as she snapped her fingers.

A servant appeared before the princess as she handed the device to him; the princess told the servant to take it away for some final adjustments. The pair then left to meet with Sheran as the blacksmith requested Storm's help in training some new horses they got. The two boys were in the pen as they began to work on the steeds while watching from outside was Twilight, along with other girls who the princess knew.

"So this is what you were doing while you were in space. You clever girl," said a girl named Minuette, as seeing Storm run about with the horse and sweat from his forehead made the girl fawn over the teen.

"Yeah. Um, my Master had me partner up with him to improve my training. Our first mission droids pinned us down, and I wanted to run away, but he told me to hold the line." said Twilight while looking at Storm.

"I knew it!" said another girl named Lemon Hearts as she just fawned even more at Storm after hearing Twilight's story.

"He's not a real meat loaf, is he?" asked another girl named Twinkleshine, also fawning at Storm.

"No, I mean, he's not brainy in that doctor, lawyer, banker way, but... he has... something else," said Twilight, looking at her partner as he kept running about and playing with the horses. "He has a..."

"Sensual intelligence," said Fleur as she finished Twilight's thoughts, looking at the Jedi.

"Sensual intelligence?" said Moondancer, looking at the head maid as she was the only one not fawning over Storm. Also confused by what Fleur meant by her statement.

The girls then saw Storm approach another horse and put his hand out. The Jedi was looking to reach the animal using the Force to get it to remain calm around him. The animal sensed the boy as he allowed Storm to get close; he placed his hand on his nose and gently rubbed it, which the animal liked.

"Wow!" said Minutte as she was more drawn into the Jedi.

"Oh, my God!" stated Lemon Hearts, also impressed.

His horse approached Storm as it nudged the boy from behind. He rubbed his steed's nose as he was shown talking to it while hugging it. As if the two were connected, while the boy rubbed its side. Apart from Twilight and Moondancer, the girls all let out a loved daze fawn. The handmaiden looked at the princess as Twilight just looked at her partner. The girl thought of her feelings toward the boy as it plagued her mind.

Storm was now pulling some horses toward Sheran as he was suiting them up and handing them to some guards to take to the castle stables to implement into the army.

"Hey, Sheran. What's the deal with chicks and horses, huh?" asked the Jedi as he gave the last horses to his blacksmith buddy. He looked over to where Twilight was with her friends as most of them just kept their gaze in the boys' direction.

"I don't think it's the horses, buddy," said the teen blacksmith to his friend as Storm didn't quite hear that.

The two soon packed up and returned to the castle, as did Twilight, along with Fleur and Moondancer. Watching from his crystal ball was Night Light. The King gripped the railing as he looked at his daughter and her friend. Since his meeting with Zecora, Night Light had been keeping a close eye on the Jedi. Seeing his daughter fawning and hugging her friend ticked him off as the Jedi jeopardized their bloodline. The Jedi would ruin their dynasty and family legacy.

"Your Majesty!" said a servant as he bowed before his King. "I bring urgent news."

The King was given the scroll as he unfurled it. His eyes scanned the writing, and when he reached the end of it, his eyes widened. He then looked at the servant as he told him to stand up.

"Get the royal carriage ready for immediate departure!"

"At once, my lord!" said the servant as he ran.

Night Light turned to look back at his daughter as she and Storm had returned and were seated by a water fountain. The pair had some flowers in between them. Storm picked a flower and blew on it, sending the petals to drift into the wind. The two teens saw the petals floating, and they enjoyed seeing them. Meanwhile, Twilight was picking the petals off a flower behind her back as she muttered something.

"He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not." said the princess, taking a petal off one by one while looking at her partner. Soon, she pulled the flower out from behind her back as there was a single petal on it. "He loves me." The girl didn't bother pulling the last petal off as she smiled and looked at her partner. "Storm."

The boy turned to look at the princess who called his name. Twilight scooted a bit closer as she placed her hand on the Jedi's. The princess took a deep breath as she prepared to tell him something.

"Storm. I just want to say that... that I lov-"

"Princess!" said a maid as she stood before the teen. "Your father requests your presence. You are to leave immediately!"

"What?" said Twilight.

"Your family is waiting for you," said the maid.

"O-Okay. Tell them I'm coming," said the princess to the maid as she left.

"What's going on?" asked Storm.

"I don't know. But it must be serious if my whole family is going. You sure you'll be fine without me?" asked Twilight.

"Sparky, I'm good. Go ahead," said Storm.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," said the princess, turning to leave before kissing Storm's cheek. The girl winked at her partner before taking off.

Twilight quickly made it to the carriage as her whole family was already waiting for her. She got in as the driver immediately flicked the horses' reigns, and they galloped out of the castle and down the road. The carriage raced down the path through a forest; many animals sensed them and got out of the way.

"What's happening?" asked Twilight to her parents.

"It's Cadance, kids. She's gone into labor," said Velvet.

"You mean..." gasped Twilight.

The driver lifted his trench coat and revealed small rings on his belt. He grabbed one of them, held it in his hand, and concentrated; he threw it as hard as he could forward as the ring traveled through the air. The small metal object then began to pulse and got bigger as it became a portal. The driver flicked the reigns and shouted to the horses to pick up their speed as they approached the portal and raced through as it closed behind them. The carriage popped out from the other side as they were now in a different part of the world. Twilight and Spike looked out of the carriage's side as the Crystal Empire approached the palace in the distance.

Shining Armor was shown pacing back and forth as the young ruler was rather nervous. To think that he was expecting this day to come; he didn't expect it to happen sooner than expected. It seemed the baby had other plans and decided now of all times to come into the world. After rushing Cadance to the medical facility, he had been instructed to wait in the waiting room until the procedure was done.

Soon, the doors burst open, as came his family.

"So glad you guys could come!" said Shining Armor as he saw his family.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world, sweetie. Where is she?" asked Velvet to her eldest son.

"She's in there. Though they asked that no one be allowed inside. What if the pregnancy has some complications? What if it's a miscarriage? What if-"

"Sweetie, come here," said Velvet to her son, as she could tell he was freaking out.

The young prince approached his mother; she grabbed his arm and smiled. She then slapped him hard, making him look directly into her eyes.

"Get a grip!" shouted Velvet to her son to stop freaking out. "You think I went through intense pain three times to see you like this!" shouted the Queen as her voice echoed around the room, and the workers all looked away to avoid any trouble.

"Yes, ma'am," said the prince as he nodded at his mother.

"Excuse me, your Highness," said a doctor as the whole family turned to see the man. "The surgery went well."

The physician then led the family inside. He brought them to the room where they were holding Cadance. The whole Sparkle family entered the room as Cadance rested while the nurse held her baby. Shining Armor went to his wife's bedside as he checked on her.

"Congratulations, Mr. Shining Armor. You're now the proud father of a healthy baby girl." The nurse then handed Shining Armor his child as he got a good look at her.

The entire Sparkle family surrounded him as they wanted to see the baby. Shining Armor was now crying as he was holding something that was not only precious but so small and cute.

"Are you crying?" asked Twilight.

"Of course not." sniffed Shining Armor. "It's liquid pride." Shining Armor was doing his best to maintain his manliness. Soon, he heard something.

"(Baby noises)"

"I think she's trying to talk," said Night Light.

"Hey there, my little princess."

"(Baby noises)"

"I'm your father," said Shining Armor. "And these are your grandparents and the rest of your family. And that lovely woman is your mother."

"(Baby noises)"

"Let me see her," said Cadance as she held her kid. She gave a few bounces as she got to see her lovely girl. "Oh, aren't you just the cutest."

"(Baby noises)"

"Yes, I'm your mother," said Cadance as the baby made happy noises.

"So what are we going to call her?" said Twilight Velvet.

It had been a couple of days since Cadance's pregnancy as the entire Crystal Empire Kingdom was filled in on the details. The royal family got to work on coming up with some celebration to commemorate the birth of the heir to the Crystal Empire. While that was being put together, the family had decided to plan a getaway family trip.

The royal carriage was being loaded with luggage as many servants had to all push together to make the suitcases fit into the vehicle. The royal family were all gathering about as they were about to leave.

"Is everyone ready?!" said Night Light to his family.

"Yes, honey," said Velvet to her husband. "Spike! Get over here!"

"But Mom!" said the small prince.

"Now, young man!" yelled the Queen to her youngest son.

Spike grumbled as he told a servant to put all his comic books back in his room, as Velvet didn't want him to bring them on the trip. The small prince walked by a servant who opened a briefcase that held several of his action figures; Spike pulled two out and walked toward his mother as he entered the carriage with her.

"Twilight!" shouted Night Light as he called for his daughter.

The doors opened as the princess stood with her trusty satchel around her. Behind the girl was Moondancer, along with Storm, and her droid was on her back.

"Sorry, Dad. I had to get some things," said the girl to her father as she entered along with Moondancer.

The King entered the carriage, sat down, and looked at the Jedi. The glare on the King's face said it all as the door shut and the carriage began to move. Storm watched the carriage start down the road as his horse was soon brought before him; the teen rubbed his horse's nose before getting up and speaking to it. He flicked his reigns to get Spirit to start moving as he followed the guards tasked with protecting the royal family as they followed the carriage.

The royal family soon arrived at their destination as they were passing by a small fishing town; the locals saw the flag of the royal family as they waved at the passing carriage, to which Velvet and Night Light returned the gesture. Storm saw the town as many ships and transports were coming in and out of the port; the Jedi saw many guards riding over to the town entrance as they collected some gifts from the townspeople as a token of appreciation to give to the royal family. The teen also saw a large estate just up the road as the royal crest symbol declared who it belonged to.

As the doors opened, the carriage rolled up to the mansion's front gate. The mansion was bigger than any house that Storm had seen; Shining Armor emerged from within the place as several servants appeared behind him and began to unload the stuff from the royal carriage as the royal family stepped out.

"Where's Cadance, son?" asked Night Light.

"She's in her room with the baby. Come on," said Shining Armor as he gestured for his family to follow him.

"Put everything in our rooms," said Velvet to a maid as she nodded and bowed before the Queen.

The royal family entered the mansion and headed to Cadance's room. Storm was riding in through the gates behind the guards selected to protect the royal family during their stay. He was about to stop at the front when several guards aimed their weapons at him.

"Over there, Jedi!" growled a Conjurer as her staff glowed with magic.

Storm looked at the guards; above him, a Falcon Knight aimed her bow and arrow at the teen, ready to take the shot if needed.

"Come on, Spirit," said the boy to his horse as he patted his side.

With a kick, the Jedi began to walk away to where he was instructed as the guards kept their eye on the outsider. Storm arrived at a simple outpost far from the stables as all the other horses were being collected. Storm got down from his horse as one of the stable people came to attend to his horse as he began to walk toward the mansion.

The mansion was much bigger inside as the building had tons of rooms and walls. Storm entered through the front as a massive stairway led to two sides of the building, spilling into separate hallways. With the royal family, they arrived at the room that housed the precious bundle of joy. Cadance was sitting on her bed as she was near a crib.

"Oh, isn't she just the cutest?" said Velvet.

The entire family gathered around the crib as they looked at the baby sleeping inside.

"I finally got her to stop crying," said Cadance as she rocked the crib.

The baby let out a yawn as she opened her eyes.

"Hey, there, my little princess," said Shining Armor as he leaned into the crib.

"(Baby noises)," said the baby as she saw her father.

"Hi, Flurry Heart. It's me, your Auntie Twily," said the lavender-haired girl as she tickled her niece's cheek.

While the family was fawning over the baby, Storm took a moment to look about the mansion. He passed by an opening leading to a beautiful backyard with a massive garden. There was a small pond filled with various types of fish and a massive tree with a swing attached to a branch. He kept walking as he passed by a large portrait that housed a literal family tree of Twilight's entire bloodline; the Jedi placed a hand on the large portrait as he scanned about each ancestor. The boy kept exploring the mansion as he heard some voices; he followed it up a set of stairs and saw an open room. Peeking in, he saw Twilight and her family.

"This reminds me of when I had you three," said Velvet to her kids as she was taken back to her motherhood days of caring for each of her babies.

Cadance smiled as she looked at the door to see Storm standing in the doorway.

"Hello, Storm."

"Hey, Cadance," replied the Jedi, making his presence known. Night Light glared at seeing the Jedi.

"Storm, don't you want to see the baby?" asked Twilight.

"Oh, I shouldn't. This is a family thing, plus she might not like me."

"Oh, I hope that's true," mumbled Night Light as Velvet elbowed her husband for making that remark.

"Nonsense." Twilight then grabbed Storm's hand as she dragged him to the crib.

The Jedi felt like he was invading privacy as he knew what Twilight's father could do. But Twilight was insisting on her partner to meet her niece as the girl pulled him toward the crib. Once there, the boy got a good look at Shining Armor and Cadance's child. The baby was a girl who had pastel pink skin, her eyes were light opal, and her hair was purple and blue with some light arctic blue highlights. Seeing this made Storm smile, which didn't go unnoticed by Twilight, who also smiled.

"Hey, Flurry. I have someone I want you to meet. This is my partner, Storm."

The Jedi looked at the small thing as the baby eyed the teen. The two locked eyes as if they sensed the other's presence. Night Light glared at Storm as he didn't like the Jedi looking at a family member as he feared he might do something to poison Flurry's future like he was doing with Twilight. Flurry then made some sounds as she looked at the Jedi with a playful smile.

"Want to hold her?" asked Cadance.

"Oh. Oh no, it's quite alright- and I'm holding her, okay," said Storm as she ignored his request, and he was now holding the small thing in his hands. "Uhm, hey, kid." was the only thing the Jedi could come up with.

The small baby looked at Jedi as she clapped her hands, being entertained by the older boy.

"Aw, she likes you," said Cadance.

"Okay, can somebody take her off my hands, please?" said Storm in a rather panicky tone.

Shining Armor took his child from the Jedi's hands as he cradled his daughter. Once Flurry Heart was taken from him, Storm immediately snuck out of the room. The boy slumped against the wall as he tried to calm himself down; his heart was beating fast, almost like he was experiencing a panic attack.

"Storm?"

The boy looked as he saw Twilight approaching him. Soon, the rapid beating of his heart calmed down as it returned to its normal rate.

"Is everything okay?" asked the princess.

"Y-Yeah, Sparky. Just... had to clear my head, is all," said the boy.

"You sure? Cause you normally are good around kids."

"I don't know, I guess... I guess I'm just nervous, is all," said the Jedi as he left.

The royal family settled in throughout the day as Velvet showed Storm to his room. The Jedi thanked the Queen for allowing him a place to stay as she smiled before exiting the room to inform the chefs to set out another plate for dinner. Once the woman left, the boy flopped onto the bed as he sighed. A few moments later, there was a knock on his door.

"Who is it?" asked the boy.

"Storm. It's me. Mind if we speak?" said Cadance as the door opened.

The young woman stood there as she saw the boy before closing the door behind her.

"Is there anything I can help you with, your Highness?" asked the Jedi.

"Storm, after all we've been through. You even saved me during my own wedding. You can just call me Cadance."

"Right. So, what do you want?" asked the boy as the ruler of the Crystal Empire sat beside him on the bed.

"I know this might be a rather serious matter, but... I was hoping if you could tell me something. Is it possible that Flurry might... be like you?" asked Cadance.

"What do you mean?" asked Storm as he raised an eyebrow at Cadance's question.

"Come with me," said the young woman as she gestured for the teen to follow her.

The pair went to her room as she opened the door and allowed him to enter first. Storm entered the room, as he saw the crib near the bed; a mobile was hanging above the crib as it was playing some gentle music. Small noises could be heard as Flurry looked at her moving toy and tried to reach for it as she giggled. Soon, Storm's shadow came over her as the Jedi gripped the crib to look at the newborn. The girl was happy to see the teen as she made more excited noises while spitting. While Flurry Heart was being as innocent and cute as possible, Storm felt a sense of dread. He knew why he was here and what Cadance had meant by earlier. The Jedi turned to look at the young woman as she twiddled her fingers.

"Can you tell me if my daughter is a Jedi?" asked Cadance.

Storm felt a sense of dread wash over him; the boy groaned in pain as he ran a hand through his hair and down his neck. Inside his mind, he cursed at himself for what Cadance was doing. The teen covered his mouth with his fingers as he breathed through them and went to sit in a nearby chair.

"Storm," said Cadance as she saw how the teen acted.

The Jedi Knight was leaning forward with his hands still covering his mouth. He should have seen this coming; the same thing happened with the Cake Twins when their parents had asked him. The Jedi finally regained his thoughts as he removed his hands and looked at Cadance with about as serious a look as he could.

"Cadance... are you sure?" said the boy. "Cause there's no going back."

"I know," said Cadance as she looked at her daughter. Flurry Heart giggled and touched her mother's hand as it nearly brought the young woman to tears at seeing her child. "But... if her future is such. Then I at least want to know to prepare myself for the day."

"Alright," said Storm as he stood up.

Cadance reached into the crib to grab her daughter; Storm approached the pair as she held her child out for Storm to evaluate. The Jedi Knight took a deep breath as he looked at the bundle of joy. Flurry Heart saw the boy and looked at him rather curiously; she saw him putting a hand out as he closed his eyes and focused. As she looked at the teen, the baby didn't know what was happening. For Storm, he was now using the Force to see into Flurry's mind and sense what the girl's future was. Cadance looked on as she bit her bottom lip, the young woman seeing how concentrated the Jedi Knight was in determining her daughter's future.

For Storm, he was having difficulty using his powers to see Flurry's future. Soon, he managed to break through as he started to get some visions and images. The Jedi then strained his mind to his limit as he panted a bit and opened his eyes. The boy put his hand down as he looked at Flurry, who still had no idea what was going on; she gave a cute sneeze before giggling as Storm looked at Cadance.

"Well..." said the young woman, dying to know her daughter's future.

"Well... it's... tough. See, Flurry isn't exactly a Jedi, but... the Force is strong with her."

"Ehh?" said the baby as she tilted her head, not knowing what was being said.

"I don't understand. What do you mean?" asked Cadance.

"Well, it's tough to describe. See, we Jedi understand the Force as it lives in all of us. There's an old saying that we have: The Force surrounds us. It penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together. It's also what gives a Jedi his powers." explained Storm. "So, while Flurry technically doesn't show any signs of Jedi powers, she does display a strong connection to the Force."

"And is that a good thing?" asked the young woman.

"Again, that's difficult to say. You can have a strong presence with the Force and not be a Jedi, though that is rare. Or... it could mean that Flurry might indeed be a Jedi, and she just might not develop it right away."

"So, it's possible she could become an adult and get Jedi powers?" asked Cadance.

"I guess. But usually, if one is Force-sensitive, they tend to show signs at an early age. But like I said, even if she doesn't show signs of being a Jedi, the Force is strong with her." stated the teen.

"You hear that, Flurry? You're destined for great things," said Cadance, trying to put a positive spin on the subject at hand for her daughter.

The small baby giggled as she was held up and looked at her mother. Cadance brought her child in for a hug as she relished that her daughter would become something great, regardless of whether she was a Jedi. Storm looked at the pair as an expression came over him. The boy had a small flashback to him and Luna when he was a baby and how Luna held him in her arms as he sucked on a strand of her hair while she sang him a lullaby.

Storm recalled that memory as he put his head down. The boy didn't want to show his emotions in front of the mother and daughter; his attention was then called as Flurry Heart was putting her tiny hands out and trying to reach out to the teen. The Jedi looked at the tiny thing as she seemed to want him.

"I think she wants you to hold her," said Cadance.

She placed Flurry in Storm's hands as he held out the baby. The small girl was making noises as if she could sense Storm's discomfort and began to get fuzzy. The boy took a deep breath as he pulled the baby in, and she slowly got rid of her fuzziness.

"Um, hey, Flurry," said Storm as he looked at the tiny thing.

Flurry Heart made some noises as she put her arms around Storm's face; she began to snuggle into the right side of the Jedi's face and kissed his cheek before making a cute little "smack" noise as she did so and continued to nuzzle while Cadance awed at seeing her daughter showcase her love for the teen.

"Looks like you got another girl to have a crush on you," snickered Cadance.

"Guess so," said the boy with a half-hearted chuckle as he held Flurry. "Thanks." Flurry just giggled at the teen.

Flurry then yawned as she started to close her eyes. Cadance smiled as she knew it was time for her daughter to sleep; she began walking to the crib and singing a lullaby. She made the mobile move using her magic as the gentle melody began to play; Cadance set her daughter inside her crib and tucked her in as Flurry was sleeping like a little angel. She kissed her daughter's head as she and Storm silently exited the room and closed the door as Flurry Heart drifted off to dreamland.

Author's Note: And so we have Flurry Heart being born. According to Storm, he sees that she doesn't possessJedi powers but does have a strong connection with the Force. So in a sense, she's much like Leia who while wasn't a Jedi did have a strong presence with the Force. So that means, Flurry might be destined for great things when she grows older if she has a strong connection. Meanwhile, Sunset has been given a special mission by her superiors.
