"Gagh!" Ichigo got thrown back by the waterfall once more, his body bouncing backwards as he forcefully crashed through several trees. "Dugh!" his young body was grinding against the ground till he bumped onto the 10th tree. "Uuugh…" he groaned, having been going at this practically non-stop for hours on end. Nonetheless the child got up and walked his way back to the front of the waterfall.

"Hmmmm…" Ahri scratched the side of her head as the foxy woman watched the boy somewhat struggle to repeat this method. However she was bothered by the lack of progress that was being made. Sure it's barely been a week since the two of them started training, but surely he should have been able to make better progress by now.

Ichigo noticed the look the Kitsune was giving him as he turned his head to look at her while she was folding her arms. "Look... I'm trying here." he said, as he groaned from the pain. "This isn't exactly as easy as it looks."

"Honestly…" Ahri tilted her head sideways as her tails were seen wiggling. "I'm less bothered that you're having trouble and more so you're still having that look on your face, like something else is bothering you, and I know for a fact it's not that waterfall."

"Nngh…" Ichigo grunted as his eyes shifted towards the ground. "What are you saying exactly?"

"Don't you remember what I said when we met?" The Kitsune woman turned her head straight so she could look at Ichigo properly. "Your mind isn't very well focused, not to mention something keeps bothering you." she didn't hear Ichigo say anything, so she went to crouch down on his level. "So then… what is it?" she wanted to know. Actually she needed to know this, if that's what it took to advance this boy's progress. "What is it that's eating you up so badly?"

Ichigo bit his lower lip as he sat down on the ground, his hair shadowing his eyes. How could he even explain this? Hell, he himself wasn't fully sure what his issues were. "I... I don't know." he replied.

"Huh?" Ahri became confused by this. "What do you mean…? Are you talking as if you don't know what your issues are or are you not sure how to explain them?" she asked for more detail.

"I don't know…" Ichigo repeated the same sentence again. How could he possibly explain what he's feeling, what he's thinking. "I'm not even sure what to think at all."

Ahri made a frown hearing this. Whatever was eating at him, it was bad. But just what was it? If she couldn't know what was bothering him then she wouldn't be able to help him progress further. "So... I'm gonna try to take a guess on what's making you feel like this. Did your village die off and you're the last remaining survivor? Or did you lose someone important to you? Anything of the sort?" She kept taking guesses so she could at least get a clue what was bothering him.

Ichigo was now starting to grit his teeth. It was bringing up bad memories, memories that he didn't want to get reminded of. It was all his fault. And because of that he was reincarnated as someone in a body that might not even be his. It was starting to shake him. "They died… they all died because of me." he said, as his body was starting to shake up.

Ahri was perplexed by this. That wasn't exactly a response she wasn't expecting, and it made her more confused. "What do you mean by that exactly?" she asked once more, putting her hands on his shoulders.

"I had something to protect before…" Ichigo began to speak, but somehow his throat felt sore in doing so. Ahri began to listen in. "I was the only one left that could stop him… but I just wasn't strong enough to do that." his hands gripped his torn up shorts. "And now everything is gone, and I somehow ended up in this world of all places."

"Wait, hold on, what are you talking about?" Ahri tried to get the boy to look at her. Now she was becoming more confused. "Who were you trying to stop? And what did you mean by ending up in this world? What are you, an alien or something?"

"Look, I… I just don't fucking know!" Ichigo exclaimed as he put both of his hands on his hair and began gripping on it. "I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing! What can I even do if I don't know what to do with myself?!" truth be told he was still in denial of ending up in this universe, reality, dimension, or whatever this would even be called. He wished this was just a horrible nightmare he was having and that he would still out fighting Yhwach, even if every bone in his body was getting broken in the process.

"Well… what can you do with yourself?" It became crystal clear to the Nine Tailed fox that the boy was in complete distress and distraught. Whatever happened to him, it affected him badly. "You mentioned something about protecting someone, right? So isn't there anything you wanna protect here? Anybody for that matter?"

"I…" Ichigo began to think. Was there anything worth protecting here? He wanted a second chance, but not like this. Most of the people he's met here are just fiction from a show of his childhood. Even so, if he could at least find a purpose for himself, maybe then he can make some sense of all this madness and keep himself in check. "Maybe… not entirely?"

"Huh?" Ahri swore that the more answers she was trying to get out of the kid, the more her confusion grew. "The hell do ya mean by that? Now you're just not making any sense..."

She was right, it didn't make any sense. But to Ichigo that didn't matter, she wouldn't understand if he told her everything. "I'm sorry, but…" he finally began to look back at her eyes. "Can you just… give me some time to think for myself?" he requested. His goal may have been to protect everyone, but that wasn't his only drive. There were other factors that happened to him in his past life and served to fuel his ambition while finding more about himself and finding balance. It wasn't as simple anymore, but he would have to find something within himself to serve as a purpose, at least for the time being.

Ahri looked at the child-like face and couldn't help but sigh as she pulled her hands away from his shoulders. It was clear that if she kept pushing more of his buttons the bigger a headache she was gonna get. Maybe it would be better to leave him alone for the time being. "Alright fine…" she said, accepting his request. "I'll leave you till you figure something out with whatever you're having a problem with. But you better not take too long."

That was no more than 3 weeks ago, and he struggled to come up with what purpose he should hold onto. At first he thought since the whole purpose of him being at this tournament was to have fun and improve, he thought if maybe he could find the thrill in a fight, like how he last fought Grimmjow, albeit not as overly aggressive and violent. But that was quickly shut down, as there was no point to it.

As of now Ichigo was standing in a room of 8 other people, with a blond announcer for the World Martial Arts Tournament and a blackboard that would assign each of them on who would fight against who. Roshi, who was disguised as Jackie Chun, and Krillin were already with him. Other fighters he could somewhat recognize, only that he didn't remember any of their names, especially those two men. After the Preliminary rounds were over, both he and Krillin went ahead to find Roshi, and thanks to him being able to sense Ki it was no problem to find Roshi, except he also bumped into Bulma and the others. But the meeting didn't last very long, as another announcer quickly informed everyone through the megaphone for the 8 fighters that won the Preliminary rounds to assemble at the main martial arts hall.

And so here they were, standing side by side as a blond announcer was ready to tell their names so each could draw a number and see who they would end up facing. "We will now draw lots to determine matchups and fight schedules. When your name is called, please come forward and draw a slip." the announcer remarked as he pointed his stick to the white board in question, as a monk stood next to him holding a box, waiting for the other fighters to pick out the numbers. "Ok then, I'll start calling out your names…" the announcer looked at the list of the fighters. "Let's see… Nam."

"Here." Nam remarked, letting his presence be known. Nam was a fairly tall man with an impressive height of 6'0, tanned skin, a long face, small beady eyes, and a small red dot on his forehead known as a bindi. He wore a white turban and an orange and maroon robe similar to the traditional garbs worn by Indian and Thai Buddhist monks in Ichigo's past life. Nam walked over to the monk holding the box before the man slipped his hand through the open hole and drew the paper out, so he could see what number he held. "Number 6." he announced.

"I guess that puts you at Match 3." the blond announcer said, before he wrote Nam's name with a black marker in the board. "Next up is… 'Kaiju' Giran."

"Yo." Giran remarked as he walked over to the monk. Giran was a large dinosaur type beast, albeit rather chubby. He resembled a Pterodactyl, though smaller in size. He also has a lone horn at the end of his snout. However, since his hand was too big to fit through the hole, the announcer had to draw out the paper for the kaiju instead. "Number 8…" Giran said.

"That would put you at Match 4…" The Announcer remarked before he wrote Giran's name on the board in the same fashion he did with Nam. "Up next... King Chappa."

'What?!' Yamcha was shocked to hear this as he widened his eyes. 'THE King Chappa?! That's actually him?!' Suddenly, the young teen began to think that he should have signed up next year, and considered this to be bad timing. 'I heard that this guy was one of the strongest men alive! Not only that, but he's a master of all martial arts!'

Chappa was a dark skinned man who stood at a similar height to Nam, albeit somewhat taller. He had an afro styled hair, and a goatee, along with a well defined muscular physique shown on him. He wore a fine yellow garb for fighting, unlike Nam's. 'I see, I thought that face looked familiar.' Roshi thought to himself as he watched Chappa draw out his number, and the announcer put him at Match 1 as Number 2. 'Maybe getting Ichigo and Krillin into this was too soon for them after all. As someone who won the World Martial Arts Tournament before without ever being touched, Chappa is way out of their league.' the old master sighed to himself, thinking that there should have been more training done. Roshi watched as Yamcha was called next, before the young man drew out his number, and saw him sigh in relief as he picked out Number 3, putting him at Match 2. 'Guess they'll have to learn the hard way then.'

"Krillin?" The announcer called out one of Roshi's students, who responded immediately and went on to draw his paper… however the monk had to lower himself in order for Krillin to reach the box.

Eventually Krillin picked out a paper and drew it out from the box. "I got one!" he exclaimed as the paper revealed him to be Number 1.

"Number 1… ah, looks like you get to go up against King Chappa!" The announcer exclaimed as he wrote Krillin's name in Match 1.

'Oh no…' Yamcha thought as he now felt pity for the little guy. 'Talk about bad luck! Chappa has to be the worst opponent to go up against! On one hand I'm glad it's not me, but on the other hand, this is just unfair!'

Chappa had an amused grin on his face as he folded his arms. He couldn't believe that he would have such an easy opponent right off the bat, a child for that matter.

"Alright, up next on the list…" The announcer looked back on the list of fighters. "Son Karna!"

'Huh?' Yamcha became confused as he saw Ichigo step out of the front. 'Wait, what's with the Karna name? I thought his name was Ichigo?'

Ichigo drew out the paper and revealed his number, which turned out to be Number 7 in Match 4, which made him go up Giran, which he didn't find to be too much of a problem. Shortly after his turn Ranfan and Jackie Chun took their turns, revealed their numbers, and were paired against different fighters.

"Alright, so this is the schedule we have." The announcer said, letting everyone see who was up against who. "The rules in this are similar to the ones in the Preliminary rounds. Not only will you be fighting in a bigger ring in each match, but this time there will be no time limit to restrict anybody. If you fall off the stage, give up, stay down for 10 counts, you lose the match. And just to give a warning, attacking the eyes and hitting your vulnerable parts are strictly forbidden!" He gave the rules and made it very clear to everyone. "And just to tell you one last thing, unlike in the Preliminary rounds, this time we have cameras placed around close to the ring so that not only would the audience outside watch your battles, but also all the other viewers all over the world!"

'Wait, this is getting recorded now?' Ichigo thought as he raised his eyebrows, putting his index finger and thumb on his chin. 'That's weird, was something like this done before in the original series? Although I guess it does make sense, after all this tournament is famous worldwide, can't only stick to people who actually paid to watch this.'

He thought about having food first before the matches could begin, but he refrained himself from doing so, first wanting to see how Krillin's match would go. Besides, there should still be enough time before his match would start.

After some time had passed, the tournament announcer stepped into the large arena ring to face the audience. He cleared his throat so that he could speak loud and clearly through his microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience! We will now commence the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament!" he exclaimed loudly through his mic, and the audience began to applaud, being more than eager to see the action go down. "Here are the matchups for the big tournament! First matchup is Krillin vs King Chappa! Second match is Jackie Chun vs Yamcha! Third match is Nam vs Ranfan! And the final matchup is Son Karna vs Giran!" He announced all the matchups. "The first matchup will begin momentarily! But before we begin, I would like to remind you all that the champion of this tournament will receive the prize of 500,000 zeni! Now then, let the first match begin! May the contestants please step forward!"

Ichigo watched as both Krillin and Chappa stepped out in the ring, folding his arms in doing so. "It's too bad that this isn't gonna last very long." the boy turned his head to look at Roshi.

"What do you mean?" Ichigo asked.

"Krillin picked out who may be the worst opponent there is for him. Chappa is far from being some pushover like in the Preliminaries." Roshi answered, and Ichigo looked over to sense both Krillin and Chappa's Ki.

"That bad, huh…?" Ichigo commented as he looked back at the arena where the two fighters stood. "Guess it's probably a good thing I didn't try to encourage him…"

"Uh hey, question…" Yamcha crouched down next to Ichigo, just so that it wouldn't be necessary for the other fighters, who were very close to them, wouldn't hear their conversation. "What's with the Karna name? I thought your name was supposed to be Ichigo?"

"Oh, that… well you know who my grandfather was when we first fought, right?" Ichigo asked, and Yamcha nodded his head. "My real name is supposed to be Son Karna, at least the one I was given by. But the name Ichigo is more of a nickname that I picked up, which is something that I would prefer to be called by."

"Really?" Yamcha then stood up fully and looked back at the arena ring. "Well if you say so."

"In the right corner, Krillin is one of the youngest competitors to ever enter this tournament at the tender age of 13!" The announcer exclaimed, as Krillin's age became revealed. "In the left corner, is a man who once won a World Martial Arts Tournament without ever being touched, say hello to King Chappa!"

"Say, that's the kid that Ichigo was training with, didn't he?" Oolong asked as he, Bulma, Launch and Puar were seen standing at the frontline from the rest of the coward.

"That's a good point…" Bulma searched around as she kept turning her head left and right. "If this is one of his student's matches, then where the hell is that old man?!"

"Hold on a second!" A man that was seen next to the gang widened his eyes in shock. "Did that guy just say the kid was 13?! Who the heck let a squirt like him compete in a tournament like this?!"

"Now I'll set the rules to make sure the audience is on the same page! If the combatants either fall off the stage, get knocked out on the count of 10, give up, they lose!" The announcer set the rules once more. "Now then… let the first match of the tournament… BEGIN!"

A monk hit the bell with a drum, signalling for the fight to commence. Both fighters prepared themselves as they were in their fighting stances immediately. Krillin was sweating at the back of his head, waiting to see what his opponent would do. Chappa made a chuckle. "There's no need to fear me, little one. I'm not exactly very fond of fighting children, so I'll make sure to end this quickly." the man said.

Krillin did not listen, and instead he tried to think how to take this man out. Unfortunately that waiting cost him, as the next thing he knew he was flying out of the ring and hit his head against the wall before he landed down on the ground. Krillin felt the wind knock out of him, and struggled to get back up. When he did, the boy could clearly see that he had been knocked out of the ring, and this shocked him. "I... I lost?" Krillin stammered.

The audience was in shock as well, having not expected that the match would have been over so quickly like that. Chappa smirked, revealing that he stepped in front of Krillin and hit his gut, and sent him flying out of the ring, with his movements being too fast for anybody, except for some fighters that were able to perceive his movements.

The announcer left his mouth agape for a short amount of time before he recollected his thoughts. "Wow… that was so unexpected! Within one blow, Chappa knocked Krillin out of bounds, making him the winner of the first match!" he exclaimed.

Krillin managed to get back up, and as such he began to walk back away from the ring and join up with the others. He felt embarrassed with himself, thinking that he failed miserably and didn't even put up a fight. Literally. He hoped that somewhere Master Roshi didn't see this. "Can't believe I got beaten so easily like that…" Krillin said, looking down on the floor as he got back with the other fighters.

"You shouldn't really feel bad about yourself like that, if at all." Roshi spoke as he held his hands behind his back. "Chappa is not someone to be underestimated. After all, he's won a tournament before, so it shouldn't come off as a surprise that he would be so strong. You may not be aware of this yourself but he's quite famous among martial artists, his skill and power are quite fearsome in their own right. So it's no surprise you lost so easily like that."

"Really?" Krillin looked up at Roshi, whom he didn't know was dressed as Jackie Chun.

"Of course, it was just a matter of bad luck that you got to face up against him." Roshi remarked before he looked back at Chappa, who was waving his hand towards the audience. "Bad luck indeed…" though it couldn't be seen very well from his beard, Roshi couldn't help but frown. 'Damn it all, this wasn't supposed to go according to plan. I didn't expect that someone as powerful as Chappa would get to enter the World Martial Arts Tournament. With how he's at, he might even give me a hard time in a one-on-one fight.' the old master began to think. Now that his original plan had backfired, he had to come up with something else in mind. After his match against Yamcha would be over, he was going to have words with the young man.

Ichigo went back so he could have some lunch, gaining a rough idea on how formidable Chappa is. While having lunch before your matchup wasn't exactly a good idea, the teenage turned boy didn't think much of it, being confident that he would still have more than enough time before his matchup begins. Either way, he would have to do something about this Saiyan body, sooner or later.

While Ichigo was eating food to fulfill his Saiyan hunger, the matches kept on resuming without his presence to watch them. The matchup between Yamcha and Jackie Chun was about as one sided as he would have expected, with Roshi just going easy on the young man before using a peculiar technique to send Yamcha out of the ring.

As Ichigo was walking back to the arena where he could watch the third match, having already expected the second match to have been over by now, however he would soon be caught by the last thing he would ever expect to see. He could easily hear the crowd and the other fighters having a… he couldn't describe it but going wild was the best way he could explain what he was hearing. However from the sounds he could hear Roshi making, it sounded as though he wouldn't like what was happening.

"Hey, what's going on out there?" Ichigo asked as he approached Yamcha.

"Uhhhh…" Yamcha turned around to look over at the younger boy. "I wouldn't recommend going out there to watch it."

"Why?" This prompted Ichigo's curiosity. "It can't be anything bad, can it?" he asked as he walked past the former bandit. But as he stood next to Roshi and had the full view of the match, his jaw dropped on the ground as he saw what was in front of him. "No fucking way…"

In the middle of the ring were Nam and Ranfan, who were supposed to be fighting, but something unexpected had occurred. Nam was walking away from Ranfan, who earlier took off her clothes, revealing a set of pink bra and panties to use seduction as her advantage, and so far it was working.

"What the hell did I miss…" Ichigo murmured to himself. "Why did she take her clothes off?!"

"Does it matter?!" Roshi lecherously looked at Ranfan with practically no shame. "It's nothing against the rules! Come on, baby! Take it off! Take it ALL off!"

"Hold on a minute…" Ichigo was completely and utterly flabbergasted by this. "You're meaning to tell me this shit is actually allowed?! And you can get away with it?!"

'Unbelievable…' Yamcha thought to himself as he watched how this old man was behaving so vulgarly, and on public display no less. 'I can get excited… but come on! Who even acts like that without any shame?! And that laughter, it's so distinct! There's no way that anybody can replace a voice like that!' he remembered back to the old man wiping out the Fire Mountain with a Kamehameha. 'That's definitely Master Roshi! But why is he here?!'

"Where'y goin, hmm?" Ranfan rhetorically asked as she lowered her body for her cleavage to have a better view by Nam. So far her seduction was working, just drive Nam to the edge of the ring and deliver the final blow. "Come on, don't like what you're seein'?" she gave a wink. "This your first time seein' a woman like this?"

Nam's face was completely red. Having been so used to living under the harsh conditions and remaining isolated from the outside world, Nam was not used to seeing the body of women, and as such he became somewhat overwhelmed from seeing the flesh of a woman like this. In his haze, he felt his foot touching the edge of the ring, and he instinctively turned his head to look behind.

"Uh oh! It looks like Nam has reached the edge of the ring! Now his only choices are to either fight back or lose!" The announcer commented.

Nam quickly looked back at the purple haired woman, unsure of what to do. 'The water…' he thought to himself, thinking back at the promises he made to his people. The reason why he even entered here was to get the money needed to buy enough water until the rainy season came, and that wouldn't come until another 2 more months, and his people couldn't possibly afford to wait that long. They literally had no money left, as whatever was left was given to him instead. 'Everyone in the village…' What could he do now? If only he somehow couldn't see the flesh at all. How could he—

Wait a minute.

Ranfan saw the opportunity to attack, and ran at full speed ahead to take out Nam. "Ranfan is now launching what may be the last attack!" The announcer exclaimed.

'That's it!' Nam gained an idea. It was so simple. He should have thought of this from the start as he got to close his eyes. 'I must close my eyes, that way I won't gaze at the flesh of a woman!' he thought, and before anyone knew it he managed to dodge Ranfan's by leaping out of the way before he got behind her and chopped the back of her neck with his hand, and with the sudden speed she was running at, the momentum caused her body to fall out of the ring.

The announcer was momentarily caught by surprise at such an unexpected turn of the tables before he regained his composure. "Winner by ringout! Nam managed to take out Ranfan with just one blow, quite similar to how King Chappa did to Krillin in the last match!"

"Erm…" Nam looked over at the body of Ranfan, seeing as how he had knocked her unconscious. "Is she going to be okay? I only meant to get her out of the ring…"

"Uhhh…" The announcer checked in on Ranfan, and saw that her foot was twitching. "She'll be fine, she'll manage to come on her own."

Eventually Ranfan was taken out of the ring and carried by a couple of monks, along with her clothing till she eventually regained her consciousness. Nam had also walked away from the ring, his match having already been over. Now 3 matches have come to a conclusion, the last match for the quarter finals was about to commence.

"May I have your attention, please!" The announcer exclaimed through the microphone. "The final match for the quarter finals is about to begin! May contestants Son Karna and Giran please step forward!"

"Alright! About time Ichigo got his turn!" Oolong remarked with a grin. "Watch him mop the floor against whoever he's up against!"

"Hell yeah!" the blonde Launch with a grin. "I gotta agree with the piggie here!"

"I wonder what this Giran looks like…" Bulma wondered to herself out loud.

Heavy footsteps could be heard easily, as the crowd watched who was causing these. Soon enough it turned out it was Giran, with his figure having been revealed as he stepped into the ring, along with his much younger and shorter opponent.

"Oh you gotta be kiddin' me…" Oolong began to grow worried. "It just had to be a monster…"

"Ah who gives a shit, like that's gonna make any difference!" Launch exclaimed.

The purple haired woman was now seen sitting in a café bar that was practically packed with people, the reason being clearly due to the tournament that was being recorded as they paid attention to the couple of TV's. Now that she didn't need to cover most of her head since she wasn't in a desert anymore, her whole face could be seen clearly. She had short hair, with a black ribbon tied around her neck.

The woman in question looked upwards at the screen that played, with the cameras giving perspective shots of the current fighters being Giran and Ichigo. She couldn't help but make a small frown when she looked at the boy when the camera zoomed in on him closer. She then heard the other people make comments about the matchup. Some were discussing the chubby kaiju and some were discussing the boy.

When she looked closer, a small gasp came out of her as a flood of memories ran through her. It seemed to be in some deserted area, which was surrounded by many swords that were put under the ground. She saw the boy, who appeared to be older, fighting another man who wore a pair of shades. It was either some kind of death match or a hardcore training session. There were more memories, such as the one with her and the older boy in some kind of progress, and teased him often by appearing naked.

She held her head in minor pain before the memories stopped bombarding her mind. "Ichi… go?" she murmured to herself before looking back at the screen. Now she remembered, the boy she was looking at was called Ichigo. And she remembered the name she was called as well. "What the hell are you doing out there?"

It was Yoruichi. That was her name.

"And may the 4th match… begin!" The announcer exclaimed, and in doing so the monk hit the bell again, signalling for the match to officially begin.

Giran began to attack first by swinging his massive tail horizontally to strike Ichigo with it, only for the young boy to leap out of the way, having already seen that attack coming as he twisted his body whilst making a flip, his feet having landed on the wall of the arena before performing a flip to get behind the kaiju in a manner similar as to what Roshi had done to Yamcha. "What?!" Giran looked to be completely surprised by this.

"My turn now." Ichigo spoke rather plainly, ready to strike back, but before he could do that the chubby dragon struck once more as he threw his left fist at the boy. Ichigo responded with defense as he positioned his right arm and struck the fist with his elbow whilst moving his entire body. Ichigo then got to counter by going forward and hit Giran's gut with his left fist, making the kaiju gasp in pain.

Giran felt the wind knocked out of him, and he keeled over as he held his pain from the force of the blow he was dealt with. Ichigo performed a flip to get behind Giran before his hands grabbed onto the chubby dragon's tail. "Nnngh…" Ichigo grit his teeth as he began to lift something that weighed over 460 pounds. "And away you go!" the child exclaimed before he successfully managed to lift Giran's entire body and flipped him away from the arena, just enough so that Giran was a few centimeters away from the ring.

Giran blinked his eyes multiple times to register what just happened, remaining dumbfounded that he had lost so easily. "What incredible strength! Despite his small size, Son Karna has hurled Giran out of the ring! This makes him the winner of the 4th match!" The announcer exclaimed loudly through his mic. "Would this small contestant care to come up to have an interview and tell a little about himself?!"

Before Ichigo could so much as consider whether to go out there and get an interview, everybody heard the faint sound of thunder coming by. This caused them to look up and see dark clouds that gathered together, as most have been so engrossed by the fights in the tournament that they failed to notice the weather change, and soon enough a drop of rain fell down before it started raining down on everybody. This caused the whole crowd to find a cover so that they wouldn't end up getting wet.

The interview ended up getting postponed due to the rainy weather. Eventually Ichigo and the others got together in a small restaurant to use it as a roof over their heads until the rain stopped, and along that other fighters and some of the crowd were in the restaurant either eating, drinking, or just having a chat.

"Congrats on your win." Launch complimented Ichigo's victory over Giran as he, Bulma, Puar, Oolong, Krillin, and Ichigo sat together in one table on a circular pattern. "How do ya feel about being in the Semi Finals?"

"Eh, it's fine I guess." Ichigo shrugged his shoulders as he took a bite out of his food. Upon having a closer look, it was noticeable that both he and Krillin somewhat developed muscles on their biceps due to the rigorous training they did for the past 8 months. "Although I'm more so wondering about my next opponent…" he said, as he wondered about Nam. He knew the name was definitely familiar to him, and tried to whack his brain to try and remember who he really was.

"Well that's fair. Although… is it just me or do you guys think that something is off about that Jackie Chun guy?" Yamcha asked.

"What do you mean?" Bulma was confused by this. "You think he's hiding something?"

"That's what I'm suspecting." Yamcha turned his head to make sure if Jackie was in here, which he wasn't, and it made him relieved. "I don't think he's a cheater or anything like that of the sorts, but I have a feeling that we may actually know him."

"Really?" Oolong was skeptical about this. "Like what? If that's what you're worried about, is no-one going to ask where that Roshi guy is? I haven't seen the old geezer since we met up after the Preliminaries were over."

"That's kinda what I've been wondering about as well." Bulma added up. "I thought he was trying to peep on some women, but wouldn't he have come by to see your matches?"

"Well now that you mention it—" before Krillin could say something, he got interrupted when loud and heavy footsteps were coming their way in here, with thunderstorms coming down, as though it was creating a sinister vibe.

The small, wooden doors burst open, and a thunderstorm came down in perfect timing as the figure was revealed to be none other than Giran, who wore a trench coat and fedora to keep him from being soaking wet. The people in the restaurant turned over to look at Giran, who said nothing as he continued to walk, practically ignoring everyone in his way.

"Sheesh…" Yamcha murmured. "Talk about a dramatic entrance…"

"Quite a bit of weather we have, don't we?" Roshi spoke as he approached Chappa, who was standing idly by in a corner within the Preliminary grounds and stared at the rain falling.

"It shouldn't last very long." Chappa commented before he looked back at the old man. "Now what do you want? You said you wanted to talk to me in private. So what exactly is this all about?"

"Can't make small talk?" Roshi semi joked as he made a small chuckle, but he saw that Chappa was not amused by this. "Well, I should have figured as much."

"I'll ask again, what is it that you want?"

Roshi made a sigh. "Alright… to be perfectly honest with you, I'm not exactly who you think I am." Chappa seemed to be somewhat confused and interested in this. "The identity of Jackie Chun is completely fake, it's just a name I came up with so I could remain unnoticed. This may come off as a surprise, but… My real name is Roshi. But the world knows me as Master Roshi."

Chappa seemed to have been taken in by surprise from such a revelation… but not as much as Roshi thought he would have been. Oddly enough, he saw Chappa making a grin, as though he were glad to have known about this. "I see… I knew you weren't any ordinary old man if you were able to make it past the Preliminaries, especially when I saw how you took care of that young man in your match." Chappa remarked, remembering the match that Jackie Chun had with Yamcha. "But to think that old man was the great Master Roshi himself…" he stopped his grin and looked at the small master with a look of interest. "But I am curious… Why did you decide to compete in a tournament like this after all this time? From what I heard, you retired from fighting a very long time ago. And why would you tell me this?"

"You know those two kids that wear the same fighting gi?" Roshi asked, and Chappa nodded his head. "Those two are actually my students. You see, the reason why I participated is to see just how far they would come and see at what level they were at after all the training I gave them. If they were to fail, I would just have them train and try again to see at what level they were at this time. At their current level, I must say they really have exceeded my expectations, especially Karna with his… growth rate, if that's the right way of putting it. If either of them were to ever face me, my purpose would be to defeat them, to send a message that there is someone stronger and better than them." he explained his reasoning. "But then you came in, which threw a bit of a monkey wrench into my plans. I heard about you King Chappa, and I must say that even I'm impressed with your accomplishments. With someone like you, the kids are out of their league."

"Now I see… so this is why you wanted to talk to me." Chappa was now grinning once more. Never did he expect to hear news such as this. "And to think that I would get to fight the great Master Roshi himself in the next match. Fighting someone of your level would be a great honor to me." Fortune had to have smiled down upon him, because he truly felt lucky right now. It was a good thing he did decide to compete in the tournament this year. Chappa began to walk away as he got past Roshi. "Of course, if you want I can simply take your place and fight one of your students instead. However, that would depend on which one of us wins." Some may consider this offer to be odd. After all, why would someone just take another master's place to fight his students. The simple fact was that there was no reason for this, it was simply out of respect.

"You do have a point." Roshi began to walk with Chappa. When they got outside, the rain dropped down on them. "Well I'll be off, good luck to you in our matchup."

"As to you as well." Chappa replied before he and the old master went their separate ways.

Tension grew high in the restaurant, as several students from the Oorin Temple had surrounded Giran, who was still sitting in his seat, trying to drink his milk in peace. When one of the students came to meet up with his friends, he accidentally tripped over Giran's tail. This was not taken very kindly, as the student put the blame on Giran simply for not moving his tail out of the way. Needless to say his buddies joined in as well, and everyone just watched the event unfold.

"Say… isn't this the same guy that lost to a little kid in the Quarter Finals?" one of the larger members of the Oorin Temple students asked, not caring at all that they had Giran outnumbered, simply thinking that they would easily overpower the chubby Kaiju.

"Hey, it is…" one of the other members replied. "Who woulda thought he had the gall to show his face around here. Honestly, what is this tournament coming down to? It's beasts like you that give disrespect to a great tournament like this!"

"Ya know what I think…?" The largest member out of the 4 spoke up, ready to pummel Giran at any given moment. "I think this tournament is rigged! He must have gotten some easy opponents to make it this far!"

Giran didn't bother turning his head, as he barely so much as casted a glance at one of them. He was not in the mood to deal with this shit. "Quit barking so much. You guys are no better than beaten dogs." he insulted them before he finished drinking all his milk. He then looked at the bartender. ''You, pour me with more milk!" the beast demanded, and the bartender immediately nodded as he went ahead to grab more milk.

"Oh really?!" one of the students lunged at Giran in anger, striking from behind with killing intent as he struck with a chop to the neck, but Giran instinctively dodged the blow, making the student split a vase in two that was next to Giran, without so much as injuring his hand in the process.

That was the last straw. Giran will not stand any more of this nonsense. He warned them to leave him, but they simply refused to listen. Now they were going to pay for their stupidity. "Nice attack, you nearly got me." Giran spoke sarcastically. ''I'd say you get to live for a long time — about 0.1 seconds longer than the others."

"What?" the student who struck him was confused by this. It was then that the bartender came back and began to pour milk on Giran's glass.

That was when Giran struck. He got up from his seat and turned around to face all the Oorin Temple students. He somewhat lifted his coat, revealing some of his form before he struck the student closest to him with a right handed punch, sending him flying through the wooden doors of the front entrance. He delivered a left handed punch to the student that was right next to the first hit. The second student got blown away from the blow until his body got flipped over by a table. Giran delivered a backhanded punch to the second to last remaining student, knocking him down on the ground instantaneously. The last remaining student jumped at Giran, who had his back turned, but Giran quickly turned around to kick the last student, sending him flying until he crashed through an empty table, splitting it in two from the impact.

It was then the bartender finished pouring the milk at that same time, which took exactly 3 seconds to finish. Giran turned around to grab his cup of milk and gulp it all down in just one drink. When he was finished with that, he walked over to the last monk that tried to attack him, who laid unconscious on the ground. Giran raised his foot and was more than ready to stomp on the monk.

"That's enough!" Giran turned around to look at Yamcha, who stepped up to stop Giran before he took things too far. "There's no need to take this any further on them!"

For a moment nothing was said between the two of them. They just stood by staring at one another until Giran began to scratch his coat and dug into his skin. "Ah, not again!" This drew confusion from Yamcha. "It itches! It itches so much! I'm sorry, but every time I see a goody goody like you, I break out in a rash!" Giran once again said this in a sarcastic manner whilst mocking Yamcha. "It itches so much!"

The raven haired teen gave a glare to the kaiju before he turned around, leaving the kaiju by himself. "Actually… one more thing." Yamcha turned around, only to be in shock when he saw Giran's fist hurling right at him, to which Yamcha leaped out of the way.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Yamcha demanded to know.

"I forgot to give some important information. You see, my rash doesn't get better until I pound the goody two shoes that caused this!" Giran exclaimed with a smirk as he began to approach Yamcha, who was backing away from him. This got the teenager to take a fighting stance, and the other people in the restaurant began to get out of their seats and leave the restaurant out of fright.

"Ok, let's calm down here…" Ichigo said, as he was now seen standing between Yamcha and Giran. "There's no need to cause an unnecessary fight in a place like this. Besides, I can't let you hurt someone that I know."

That was when Giran halted his movements. He looked down at the boy. "You're saying you know this guy, kid?" Giran asked.

"Yeah, you could say that." Ichigo nodded his head. "Yamcha was only trying to calm you down. You already beat those guys like they were nothing. Are they really worth the time to continue crushing them?"

Giran lowered his guard, toning down the hostility. "Alright then…" It would be surprising that someone like Giran had been tamed so easily, but it was simply out of respect for Ichigo's capabilities as a fighter, having been defeated so easily in their match. He then left the restaurant entirely.

Since the interview had been cancelled by the sudden drop of rainy weather, the announcer decided to do a review on Ichigo some other time after his other matchup, as the mood wasn't exactly as… compelling if that was the right way to put it. As of now, both Roshi and Chappa stood in the fighting ring, ready to face each other.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" The announcer began to speak through his mic. "The first match of the Semi Finals is about to commence! Two of the most formidable foes are about to face each other off, and whoever wins this gets to move up in the finale of the World Martial Arts Tournament!" he exclaimed, his voice full of energy as always. "And now may the 5th match… begin!" he finished, and at that moment the monk hit the bell, signalling for the match to officially begin.

Unlike their previous matches, this was the one where both fighters would have to take this seriously. So with that said, Roshi charged at his opponent first and struck with a horizontal chop to the neck, to which Chappa reacted quickly enough to block the blow by raising his arm. The taller martial artist responded with a kick to Roshi's head, to which Roshi ducked out of the way and proceeded to perform a bicycle kick on Chappa's chin, making the first blow in this match. "Gah!" Chappa grunted from the pain as his body got sent flying back in mid air.

Roshi began to run after Chappa as he barely managed to get behind him by the time Chappa landed on the ground, only for the old master to be taken by surprise as Chappa elbowed Roshi's jaw, hitting him hard enough to send him flying back. Chappa turned around to add the momentum by sending a right hook to Roshi's stomach, only for the old master to block the incoming blow by putting both his hands in front of him in a cross formation. The blow was somewhat dulled, but it still pushed Roshi back. Roshi made a backflip to get his feet on the arena, and looked up to see Chappa's knee coming at him horizontally, but Roshi dodged the incoming blow by lowering his body further before leaping ahead of his taller opponent, kicking him in the back of the head whilst twisting his body in mid air.

Chappa recovered from the blow rather quickly as he leaped right towards the old man, to which Roshi responded by doing the same just as quickly when he landed on the ground. They raised their knees at one another and clashed in doing so, while at the same time they put their right arms at the front of their faces in a diagonal position. Both fighters struggled to overcome one another. Chappa then threw a left jab at Roshi's cheek, which hit him in the process and proceeded to kick him in his hip. Roshi countered by elbowing Chappa on his stomach and gave several hooks to his chest.

Chappa beared through the pain and gave a few hooks of his own onto Roshi's face, to which he missed as Roshi dodged each of them while throwing punches of his own, which Chappa kept moving his body in order not to get hit, but that was extremely difficult to do so. The two of them began to exchange blows with a flurry of punches that were way too fast for the crowd, and even for most fighters to see whilst they were still moving within the arena.

"Does… anybody have any idea what's going on?" Bulma asked within the crowd as her eyes kept dialing back and forth between the two masters of martial arts.

"How would I know?!" Oolong retorted. "I'm as lost as you are!"

"Does anybody have any idea as to what's going on…?" Yamcha asked as he struggled to keep up the pace that the two fighters were moving. He could see their bodies, but it was practically impossible to tell wbat they were doing.

"They're going at it like crazy…" Ichigo answered, having been one of the very little individuals that could keep up with the fast paced action before him. "Especially the old man…" And he was right, he could see Roshi was putting in tons of effort like how anybody would.

Nam didn't say anything as he focused intensely on the matchup. Even if he were to focus on his current opponent and somehow lost, it would still be good to pay attention to some of your other opponents in case you were to go up against them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes!" The announcer exclaimed loudly as he clenched his other fist. "For the first time in this 21st tournament, this hasn't ended in a single blow from either side! What we are seeing is an actual battle between two warriors giving everything they got!"

Chappa swung a roundhouse kick at Roshi's head, to which Roshi ducked out of the way and proceeded to jump behind his opponent. Chappa turned around quickly to backhand Roshi, and hit him hard enough that it sent him flying through the stone wall, making it collapse on top of him as well. Chappa immediately ran where the old master was at, taking this to his advantage. "This match is over!" the former martial arts champion yelled out as he made a small jump in the air and struck down with his fist, making it go through the ruined walls.

But he didn't feel his fist connect with his body. Becoming confused by this, Chappa moved the scattered walls with his still clenched fist and saw that nothing was there. He didn't understand this. If Roshi got away from there, he would have seen it coming. "That was rather quick to judge, Chappa." he heard Roshi's voice, and he turned around, only to be in shock when he saw there was Roshi in front of him in a strange… distorted form?

"Wh… how did you—?" Chappa quickly got in defense and launched a spin kick at what he believed to be Roshi, only for his kick to go right through him. ''What?!" he felt sharp pain enter his body as he got launched on the opposite side where Roshi was at. Chappa's body was forcefully grazed against the title floors until he managed to stop himself from a ring out by putting his hands on the floor, making a backflip while still holding his grip tightly. Chappa was in shock when he saw the real Roshi standing before him.

"Surprised to see me?" Roshi put a peace sign with his fingers while making a small chuckle. The crowd continued to cheer. 'That was a close one. The wall was what saved me from being taken out of the fight, and if I hadn't used the Afterimage technique at the last second, I would have been done for.' he thought to himself.

Chappa got up on the floor and wiped out a small trace of blood on his lip. ''I don't know how you did that just now… but I can assure you I will not be fooled again." he got on his fighting stance once more.

'It's a good thing that's a technique I can use. I can't afford to use my other ones…' Roshi thought to himself as he was prepared to fight once more. Using the Kamehameha would blow his cover for sure and too many questions would rise up. Both the Thunder Shock Surprise and Sleepy Boy Technique would take too long to perform, and timing it right would be extremely difficult.

The two of them went back at it again as they exchanged fast paced blows and were made out to be nothing but blurs. "So… does anyone have any idea who's going to take this?" Krillin asked as he struggled to keep up with the speed they were going at.

Ichigo hadn't said anything except still keeping his attention on the fight itself. "I... I'm not sure." he spoke with honesty. Both of them seemed to be evenly matched, and they were not pulling their punches whatsoever. This match seemed like it could go either way for both sides. But then something dawned on him. 'Wait a minute… if I remember right, didn't Roshi fight against Goku in the finals? But with the old man struggling this much…' he bit his lower lip as he came to a realization. 'This is something that never happened in the Canon series.'

'How long has it been…' Roshi continued to defend himself from the relentless attacks from Chappa as he kept moving his arms to block each blow coming at him. 'Since I was in a real fight like this?' he jumped above Chappa proceeded to kick him right in the face, to which Chappa reacted quickly enough to put both of his arms above his head and blocked the incoming blow. Roshi scoffed at this before he began to put distance by jumping backwards before making a double backflip, using his hands on the ground to do so.

Chappa began to go after him before sliding down on the floor, attempting to kick Roshi off balance as the old master stood back on the ground in time. Chappa then used his footing to twist his body whilst making a backflip as he got directly behind his opponent. Roshi attempted to counter by elbowing Chappa, only for the taller man to put his right hand in front to block it and added the block by placing his left hand horizontally onto his right one. Seeing that this failed, Roshi twisted his body as he spun his left leg upwards diagonally to kick Chappa, but his opponent ducked in time to avoid the powerful blow.

They leaped sideways at the same time and continued the fight, using many different fighting martial arts on one another in doing so. Blows kept being delivered, from one moment of Chappa hitting Roshi, to Roshi hitting Chappa. They kept going at this back and forth, with neither being able to outmaneuver the other. Unknown to them and everybody else, the more they kept fighting the more time it gave Ichigo to study their movements, along with more than a hundred martial arts that were being used.

Roshi contemplated using his MAX form to turn the tide around, but almost immediately decided against it. It would be no contest in terms of physical strength between them, as all Roshi would need was just one blow, there came drawbacks. Not only did it drain a severe amount of stamina, but it would slow him down due to the form being too bulky, along with the fact he hadn't used it in so long.

Both Chappa and Roshi hit each other at the same time, and sent each other flying, but not far enough to get them out of the ring. They laid on the arena, struggling to get up as they used their hands and legs as support. When they managed to get up, they stared at one another. It became visibly clear that their bodies showed signs of bruises from the blows they endured.

"Come on… surely you have more tricks up your sleeve than that." Chappa remarked with a smirk. "For someone of your level, hand to hand can't be all you're able to do."

"Then I should say the same thing to you." Roshi replied. "You haven't shown me a single technique in this fight. I at least showed you one."

"Oh, don't take this the wrong way, it's not that I don't want to show you…" Chappa folded his arms. "It's just that I'm trying to find the right time to perform them."

"Is that so…" Roshi resumed his fighting stance. Maybe he could try to show at least a couple of more techniques in his arsenal. Even if he were to lose here, he would not afford to go down easily.

Chappa began to think what his next move should be, and so did Roshi. If they kept fighting with only hand to hand, they would just be running around in circles until one of them dropped down on the floor in exhaustion or if the pain was too much for their bodies to handle. Or a combination of both, which was the most likely to happen, but neither wanted that. They didn't want to waste so much energy to the point that they would end up being a pushover in the finale.

Chappa then thought ahead of a strategy just a split second faster before Roshi finished his. The taller man charged at Roshi once more, and this time he lowered his body much more so he could hit Roshi's jaw to send him flying out of the ring. Roshi went in for a kick to get Chappa away from him, but something unexpected happened when Roshi felt a blow coming from his left cheek. "Gugh—!" Roshi exclaimed in surprise as he got thrown back sideways while remaining on his toes. 'What just happened?!'

The old man was prepared to be on the defensive as he leaped out of the way to avoid another incoming blow from his younger opponent, and landed in the middle of the ring. Chappa came straight at him once more and threw a right jab at him, but Roshi lowered his body and moved his head sideways while spinning his hands before shoving his hand against Chappa's wrist, moving his attack away. Roshi was about to twist his body and elbow Chappa's gut, but the old master was taken by surprise once more as he was the one that got hit instead.

'What—?!' Roshi thought as he stumbled backwards. 'Again?!' he was becoming confused by this. It was only for a brief instant but he could see a blurry fist coming at him. It was as though Chappa's speed had increased, but how could that be?

Roshi wasn't given time to ponder about that as Chappa came right at him, and the two of them began to exchange blows again. But this time it didn't get to last long as Roshi began to suffer more and more blows. The old master was completely taken by surprise when he saw what looked to be 8 of Chappa's arms coming at him at the same time. Most of the other fighters were shocked by this. At this point, Roshi could barely defend himself at all, as Chappa hit him with everything he got. It was coming everywhere at him all at once.

More injuries kept appearing on Roshi's face, and on his body despite the fact they were hidden by his outfit. It was becoming clear Chappa turned the tides and gained the upper hand, but he didn't want to let this fight go on any longer, so he used this as his opportunity to knock Roshi back. Roshi was getting pushed backwards more and more. "HYAH!" Chappa spun his leg upwards diagonally with his right leg as he kicked Roshi's head hard enough to send him flying out of the ring.

"Gagh!" Roshi coughed up some blood as he hit his head against the wall before he fell down on the ground. The crowd went completely silent, being stunned on how the match ended, along with the announcer.

The announcer eventually regained his speech so he could declare the match over. "That was simply incredible!" his voice boomed over the mic. "This was the best match we've seen by far in this tournament! But it had to end at some point! The winner by ringout is none other than King Chappa!"

The crowd began to boom in cheers from not just the matchup, but from the winner of the martial artist. Yamcha stood awe struck at what occurred for Jackie Chun to lose. "I-I heard of this! That was Chappa's signature technique that he used just now, the Hasshu-ken!" Yamcha exclaimed. "It's said that Chappa moves his arms so fast to the point that he makes 8 of them!"

"You sure seem to know about this kind of stuff…" Ichigo commented.

"Well duh, because they're actually famous?" Yamcha replied to the boy, but he turned around to look at the taller man with some form of doubt on his face. "And uh… also because I learned about martial arts when I was still in the desert." the teen scratched the back of his head.

'Can't believe I actually fell for something like that…' Roshi scratched his superglued hair. 'I really have gotten rusty, more than I ever thought I did, if I fell for a trick like that.' He didn't think it was too much of an issue when he helped his former student with the Fire Mountain situation. But today this fight helped him realize that. 'You would think with all my years of battle experience I would have had the edge from the start, but I never did.' Originally he was planning on having his current students go to this tournament and use this to make themselves improve as another training session, maybe have fun in the process as well. But what about him? Was his time truly not finished? He had to admit, having an intense fight like that again after Kami knows how many years… it felt good, exhilarating even, especially when nobody was trying to kill each other. 'Maybe… maybe I can get to—' His thoughts became interrupted when he saw Chappa extend his hand to him, to which Roshi accepted.

"That was a great match." Chappa commented. "It was one of… if not the best fights I ever had."

"You were a formidable opponent to go up against. I haven't had a fight like that in many decades." Roshi replied as the two of them pulled their hand out. "Well, I'll be off now. I'll stick around until the finals are over." he began to walk away from the ring, putting his hands curled fists behind his back.

'Unbelievable… the old man actually lost. Well that sets it, this is definitely something that didn't happen. And now I might have to be the one to end up fighting that guy.' Ichigo thought to himself as he watched Roshi join them, and so did Chappa shortly after.

"And now, we will begin the second match of the Semi Finals! Contestant Son Karna and Contestant Nam, please come forward!" The announcer exclaimed, calling out the names of the fighters.

"Well… here goes nothing." Ichigo said, as he walked over to the arena.

Ugh... I hate how long this took for me to upload this. But at least this is finally done. I try to get this done as quick as I can, but sometimes shit continues to happen to slow me… a lot sometimes. Anyway, let's go over the things that occured.

So the first scene is about the flashback on the waterfall training between Ichigo and Ahri. So if you're curious on who's perspective is this from, it doesn't come from either. This is more so a 3rd perspective view that's supposed to be from the reader, since my Co Author pointed out I didn't put that in the last chapter. So I thought to put it in this one instead. I was gonna put out the whole thing, but my partner didn't think it would be good to show the whole thing, but to let it build up instead, which I was fine with. There will be more scenes of the Waterfall in question.

It must have also been a surprise to have someone like Chappa in this, since this is the guy that doesn't show up until the 22nd tournament only to get bodied by Goku instead. So there's actually a reason why I put this guy in the 21st tournament and why he would show up. So you know a character by the name of Bacterian? The guy whose whole thing is that he never took a bath nor did he brush his teeth in his life and uses that to his advantage to fight?

When I rewatched and re-read the scenes with this guy, his whole existence in the tournament makes no bloody sense. Cause first of all how the bloody hell did NOBODY even smell this dude when he came in through the Preliminaries until he conveniently got past it and the last 8 remaining fighters in the lobby arena did? The entire room was full of fighters actually fighting, which considering that it was hot at that period they should have been sweating, meaning this guy should have already smelled the very moment this dude even stepped to compete. And then there's Krillin's fight with him which… geez it really made no sense. Krillin got affected by Bacterian's smell and couldn't even overcome it… until Goku reminded him that he didn't have a nose… how the hell was he affected then.

Bloody hell. I know Dragon Ball was a gag way back in the old days but considering it took itself seriously later down the line this pretty much causes Continuity issues. There's also the one where Krillin even won against Bacterian was by pulling his pants down and farting in the face of a guy who never bathed in his life… like what. So yeah this guy causes at least 2 plot holes just by being in the tournament without notice. If we include the Anime it's 3 since it extended the fight by Bacterian beating down on Krillin… but for some reason when he was down the judge of that didn't do the countdown even though he should have. Not only that but Bacterian even threatened to kill Krillin and actually could have… even though he was told that's not allowed.

So yeah you can see why by adding this guy is a problem. My Co-Author and another friend of mine were whacking our brains out trying to find a solution, but we literally could not come up with anything to solve these. But ultimately we decided to replace Bacterian with someone else. Chappa came to my mind since even though his role in the original was to be a jobber, he did have statements from Roshi that Chappa was comparable if not above the Goku he fought in the finals of the 21st tournament. So I thought it would be interesting to have this guy in, which would be why he was so even against Roshi in the chapter. Also because I thought to do something for him since in the DBS Manga it turns out he was the one training Uub to compete in the WMAT, which I thought was pretty neat.

Other matches like Yamcha vs Jackie and Nam vs Ranfan are pretty much the same as Canon since there wasn't any point writing those, except at least have Ichigo step in for Ranfan taking her clothes off just to give his own comments for a comedy scene. So far the Ichigo vs Giran fight… I kinda ended it quickly unlike the ones in Canon, since I thought the fight was kinda bad in all honesty. Like first Ichigo did throw Giran out of the ring… like really fucking far, as in he was gonna land on the streets if he didn't use his wings. But then Giran proceeded to do the same thing by using his gum thing to trap Goku and throw him really fucking far even though it was unnecessary. Then when Goku got his tail back and struggled to break out… Giran only just stood there, instead of just picking him and throwing him out of the ring, or at least trying. It doesn't help that the Anime drags it out as well.

I think that's about all I would need to explain. Although damn, I did not think I would already catch up to the 21st tournament this quickly by already going with the Nam fight. Hell if I'm lucky I could even do a Chappa fight at the finale and finish this arc. On a side note I did rewrite Chapter 1 and 2 for this story, mainly because when reading it myself I really didn't like how I was going with the Dragon Ball Minus route (I even read the Manga of it today and I hate it). Chapter 1 was making the Planet Vegeta explosion and Ichigo/Kakarot being sent to Earth a lot more vague and ambiguous on what really happened, because I'm planning my own version of the explanation when I get to the Z portion of this story, since I don't think explaining this during the OG run would fit very well. Until then, I'll see you guys next time.
