In this chapter, Atrosis will try to finish Dementor's evil scheme…without Dementor.
Can she pull it off without him? We know from experience that we shouldn't underestimate her. She pulled off a heist at Fort Knox.
That's kind of the mystery.
Chapter 43: Mind Control
At Dementor's lair, Atrosis was thinking about what to do next.
"Man, I'm not so sure what I'm going to do." noted the minion. This situation was not something she expected to find herself in.
She wasn't used to being in charge of the evil plots. Though she did have command over the minions. She had robbed Fort Knox once, but Professor Dementor had told her to do it.
There didn't seem to be a way to remove the helmet.
And Professor Dementor couldn't give her instructions with it on.
Would he be stuck like that?
She sure hoped not. Otherwise things were never going to be the same again.
The supervillainess figured she could ask for help, but the three scientists she knew (other than her boss) had reasons not to help her.
"Well, I guess I'll leave the base and look for he-"
Suddenly, her imagination stormed her head regarding what could happen if she left Dementor by himself.
These were not pleasant thoughts.
"You should go to the asylum." said Kim.
After all, was he not crazy? Dr. Drakken was probably saner than he was. And so was Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
"Alright zen!" exclaimed Dementor.
He drove off to get himself committed.
"That was surprisingly easy." noted Kim.
Was saving the world going to be this simple?
Dr. Drakken and Shego were standing a few feet away from Professor Dementor.
"Can you do us a favor and blow up your lair?" asked Dr. Drakken.
Shego and himself would have a serious advantage if he had one and Dementor's was blown to bits.
"Okey dokey!" bellowed the professor.
He went to press the big red button that was hidden in his office…which he had ironically told his henchmen not to touch.
Atrosis knew better though.
"Just admit you're stupid and you'll never win against Kim Possible or Dr. Drakken!" demanded Frugal Lucre.
"I certainly von't win against zem! Not in a million years!" exclaimed Dementor.
"I can't leave the professor by himself! Who knows who'll run into him?" asked Atrosis.
It could be anyone.
Even if they were in a secret villain lair.
These lairs had been breached before, so it could end up happening again.
"It must be hard, being so submissive…if only there was a way to make things easier for him." questioned the woman.
She was used to following orders, but Professor Dementor wasn't.
Surely there had to be a way.
Suddenly, she noticed that there was a low power button on the helmet.
Atrosis decided she would press that.
Pressing the button made Dementor seem less submissive.
"Maybe now he won't do anything he would strongly object to." noted the right-hand. Now she wouldn't have to worry about his enemies discovering what had befallen him.
She decided to test that out.
"I think maybe we should surrender to Kim Possible." spoke Atrosis.
Naturally, she didn't really mean that.
"Never! Ve shall not give up!" exclaimed the professor. No matter how many times Kim Possible thwarted Dementor's schemes. Besides, she was thwarting the schemes of Dr. Drakken as well. So it was not all bad.
"I was just kidding. I guess it worked!" shouted the woman.
That was a pleasant surprise.
Perhaps Dementor wasn't the only one who was good with technology.
She had helped set up security measures around Monkey Fist's castle after all.
But even with the mind control helmet surpressed, Atrosis still felt that she shouldn't leave Dementor alone. She didn't want to take any chances.
Luckily, she had an idea as to how she would get Dementor money, even without the mind control helmet.
"Maybe I can kidnap the mayor and then request money for his safe return. I imagine that at least someone would want him back." noted Atrosis.
Something told her that his brother wouldn't be terribly concerned about what fate befell him though. It was parental favoritism at its finest.
Perhaps being an only child wasn't so bad. She just so happened to be an only child.
Still, she would feel better if there was an evil mentor gave her advice.
She decided to check Kim Possible's rogues gallery for possible mentors.
There was a book of them.
Atrosis flipped the pages.
She discovered DNAmy's page and flashbacked to when she turned into a frog.
Additionally, the minion remembered herself hopping around. She didn't really know what else to do at the time. It was a good thing Professor Dementor showed up when he did.
Though it had been a bit embarrassing to be seen in nothing more than a towel. But at least she had her catsuit.
The villainess stared blankly at the picture of DNAmy.
"No." said Atrosis, flipping the page.
Up next was Dr. Drakken.
However, he didn't seem like a good option. Better than DNAmy, but nevertheless…
"I don't think he wants to help me." noted Atrosis.
And even if he did, she imagined that Shego would want to pick a fight with her. She was happy to fight her, but it just wasn't the same without an evil scheme from her boss to defend.
Maybe if she calmed down, maybe they could negotiate. But that probably wasn't going to happen.
Atrosis was staying with Dementor, and apparently Shego was staying with Drakken…weird as it was for the brunette girl.
Next was Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
"I think he kind of has an unhealthy obsession with inators." remarked the woman as she flipped through the pages.
Then there was Killigan.
"Hmm, he seems kind of angry. Though I suppose I wouldn't mind playing golf with him. I'm not retiring anytime soon though. I'll keep reviewing my options." said Atrosis.
Next was Monkey Fist.
"This could work, but I might slip over the banana peels his monkeys leave behind. And I think he might be kind of busy at the moment." remarked the woman.
She was not wrong.
Additionally, she heard that there were two twins that were with him now.
Perhaps he wanted a counter to Hana the ninja baby. Much like Atrosis, she was much stronger than she looked. Though the supervillainess wasn't sure if she wished to be a ninja. She didn't imagine herself as a quiet woman.
She flipped the page to Senor Senor Senior.
The supervillainess liked what she saw.
"Let's see, he's affable and intelligent…sounds like a good match. His son might be a bit annoying…but I can live with that. I think I've made my choice!" exclaimed Atrosis.
She decided to call Senior and see if he could help her.
"Can you help me with being evil?" asked Atrosis.
She imagined that she would get some good advice from him. After all, Senior was a smart man. And you should always respect your elders.
"Sure. I'm always happy to help my fellow villains. Meet me at my mansion." answered the older of the two Senors.
He did note that Atrosis seemed kind of new compared to the other ones though. She used to be at the front desk of Hench Co., but after Jack Hench saw her potential she ended up being assigned to a mad scientist.
Atrosis thanked him for introducing her to Dementor. Now they were inseparable. And it was actually literal in one occasion. It was good that the solvent was so effective though. She wanted to keep fighting.
"Phew!" exclaimed the woman after Senior accepted her offer. It was relieving.
Dementor was wandering around aimlessly.
"Hmm…could you laugh wickedly for me? I like hearing that." remarked the woman.
It made her feel happy if her employer was happy.
He laughed wickedly.
"Thanks!" exclaimed Atrosis.
Meanwhile…
"So, you're going to try babysitting?" asked Kim.
This was an interesting turn of events. Though it wasn't too surprising given how Ron interacted with his adoptive sister.
Usually it was she who did the babysitting. Though she did feel like she was destined for more than just looking after kids.
She turned out to be right. Now she was fighting villains. And there had been a newcomer added to the mix. It made fighting Professor Dementor more interesting.
"I might as well since I babysit my baby sister. And you also said Phineas and Ferb are the most well-behaved kids around." noted Ron.
He didn't want to try babysitting Buford, but Phineas and Ferb were fair game.
"Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they graduate from high school early." agreed the redhead.
Though she had gotten used to having them around.
Candace probably wouldn't though.
"It will help me buy more food from Bueno Nacho." said the blonde. He imagined that when he went to heaven, Bueno Nacho would be waiting for them.
"You never get tired of Bueno Nacho, huh?" asked the cheerleader. It seemed like he was always there when he wasn't at school. Though he had decided on Smarty Mart as a working site in the end.
"I sure don't!" exclaimed Ron. Bueno Nacho belonged in Middleton.
Luckily, Phineas and Ferb's parents would be able to pay him well for his help.
Ironically, their parents' names started with the same letter.
Much like Ron had the same number of letters in his name as Kim.
Though things were different when you stretched their names out.
He could try babysitting Kim's brothers, but he figured that Kim would advise against that.
Though Jim and Tim weren't so different from Phineas and Ferb. The difference was that Phineas and Ferb had more common sense.
Ron noticed something unusual on TV.
Monkey ninjas had been spotted in Middleton.
"Those monkeys seem to be looking for something…but what?" asked Ron.
Were they looking for him?
They didn't seem interested in visiting his house…
…which was good, because he wanted his family to stay safe.
Candace was trying to bust her brothers…but her cell phone was currently out of battery.
"Why did I forget to charge it?" asked the teenage girl.
They were building a water slide in their backyard.
One that was better than the last one they had built.
Hopefully that would make it easier to bust.
As she prepared to bust them, she began to giggle.
She had come home early because she figured Phineas and Ferb were up to no good. Not a day of summer went by without Phineas and Ferb planning something big.
Additionally, Candace figured Kim wouldn't bust them. Which was odd considering she was a superheroine. Didn't she bring villains to justice? She had fought a lot of them.
Kim found the two kids much more preferable to Jim and Tim. She assured Candace that her life could be worse. And she didn't consider Phineas and Ferb to be supervillains despite what their older sister seemed to think.
Though it also helped that they had helped her out of a tight spot recently. Her days of being a superheroine could have been over.
Camille and Gill had outsmarted her in an interesting turn of events. And they also outsmarted her friends.
But with Phineas and Ferb's help (and Dr. Doofenshmirtz), they had managed to turn things around.
Dr. Doofenshmirtz might be up to something bad though.
It was just how it was.
Elsewhere…
"If you want to humiliate your brother, then I'm not going to stop you." remarked Shego. She still thought Doofenshmirtz was annoying, but not as much now that she knew their mutual aggravations with their family.
She imagined she wouldn't join the Go Team again. Though she did miss them sometimes. Maybe because she grew up with them?
"Good. I'm going to enjoy this!" exclaimed Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
Currently, Dr. Drakken was gathering together his minions.
They all looked identical for some reason.
At least Shego could be told apart from her brothers. Namely due to her green color. There was no telling the Wego Twins apart though. Not in a million years.
"I should consider getting my own evil minions. Though to be fair, I have Norm." noted Doofenshmirtz. He turned out to be useful against Perry the Platypus.
"You sure do!" exclaimed Norm.
Shego felt a bit uncomfortable around the robot man.
"He reminds me of Atrosis…the little freak." remarked Shego. Kim might be her nemesis, but at least they had things in common. She and Atrosis were a whole different story.
"I think she's kind of cute." noted Doofenshmirtz. Though he ironically thought normal platypuses were cute.
"Have you seen that smile on her face? It's so creepy!" exclaimed the green-skinned woman. Did she ever stop smiling?
Not to mention the way she giggled when she fought. She knew from experience.
Why Dementor would want her in his employ was a big mystery to her. That woman was not sane.
And how could she be so respectful to her boss? To her, it was simply unsettling. There was something seriously wrong with her brain, in her mind.
Although, it was a bit interesting to meet another woman who had powers like she did. Kim Possible was tough, but she didn't have superpowers. Unless you counted the supersuit that she had.
"She's not defeating Kim Possible. I am. She isn't taking that from me." noted Shego. Just as Dementor wasn't taking the world from Drakken.
"Funny, she doesn't seem concerned about that. She seems fine with whoever fights Kim Possible. She doesn't seem to want Dr. Drakken to take over the world before Dementor does though." remarked Doofenshmirtz.
Her powers were somewhat different, however. You never know what you were going to get when you obtained power from the rainbow.
"It looks like everyone is here." noted Dr. Drakken.
"Good, I think we're going to need their help." acknowledged Doofenshmirtz.
He wasn't sure what security measures his brother had in store.
"I wonder where Atrosis is. I would like to wipe that psychotic grin off her face." noted Shego.
Meanwhile…
"This sure is a nice mansion. I wonder how Kim Possible manages to navigate it." noted Atrosis. She knew that she had been there before whenever the Senors decided to do something evil.
Perhaps the gal had a map of some kind?
Or maybe the Senors themselves had one.
She decided to ring the doorbell.
Junior answered.
"Who is this? Are you friends with Shego?" asked the boy in a yellow shirt.
He imagined as such considering she too dressed in a catsuit.
"We and Shego don't get along. She's just too selfish." explained Atrosis. Dr. Drakken would probably be better off without her.
"Really? We get along well." answered Junior.
He had her whole support when he decided to engineer a fake kidnapping.
"That's nice. You probably shouldn't invite her here while I'm around though. This mansion looks precious and I'm sure your father doesn't want his belongings damaged." noted the elastic supervillainess.
Their fights tended to result in property destruction.
"I won't. Though she did help train me once." answered Junior. Why did he forget his training, anyway?
"I didn't think she would be interested in teaching. I suppose your father must have paid you well. Though on that subject, is your father home?" asked Atrosis.
"Yes. I can go get him." spoke the son of the wealthy man.
Though he would probably come himself.
"If you still want training, I can help you with exercise." noted Atrosis.
Junior nodded.
The two did stretching exercises.
"This is hard!" exclaimed the brunette.
"Really? I'm not breaking a s-oh wait, that's right." remembered Atrosis.
How could she have forgotten about her powers? It was a mystery.
Well, at least she didn't forget Dementor. He was right outside.
Senor Senior, Senior approached her.
"Salutations. It's nice to know that more people are deciding to join the ranks of villainy, even young people like yourself." greeted Senior.
"I've been a bad guy for a while. I just figured I could use assistance since my boss isn't feeling well." spoke Atrosis.
"I'm sorry to hear that." sympathized the criminal mastermind.
"I think I've come up with an evil plan though. I'll go to Middleton Town Hall, kidnap the mayor, and then demand money for his safe return. I know that's more or less what my boss wants." explained Atrosis.
"That's not a bad idea. What are you going to do about the security cameras?" asked Senior.
"I'll want to make something that will shut them off." noted the woman.
Something that would shut it off.
Professor Dementor was wandering around.
"Hmm…should I tell him to do something else? With the adjustment I made I'm not really taking advantage of him." noted Atrosis.
She decided to ask him for a soda.
Which he accepted.
"Thanks." spoke Atrosis.
She guzzled down the icy cold beverage.
"I'm planning to go on a date with my girlfriend soon." noted Junior.
"That sounds nice. I went on a date with my boss once. I think we should do that after we take over the world though." answered Atrosis.
Though it was rather relaxing. She would remember that date fondly.
Meanwhile…
"It's good to see you all again." noted Phineas.
"This water slide does look like fun." remarked Isabella.
"I'm sure that it will be refreshing." nodded Baljeet.
"It's new and improved, you say?" asked Buford.
"Yeah." nodded Phineas. They had redesigned it so that it would be more fun. Though maybe not as much bouncing.
Now there were more lifeboats so more people could have fun. Though they weren't really charging money for it. The water slide was probably going to disappear anyway.
Jim and Tim had decided to join.
Suddenly, some monkey ninjas showed up.
"Huh? Are you here to join the fun?" asked Phineas.
Phineas and Ferb were stuffed into a bag.
Isabella explained to Ron what happened.
"Oh no!" exclaimed Ron.
It seemed that his two babysittees had been kidnapped.
It appeared that he needed to get them back before their parents got home.
They would not react kindly to that kind of news.
"Do you know who did it?" asked the blonde.
"Well, they were abducted by monkeys…" noted Baljeet.
"It must have been Monkey Fist!" exclaimed Ron.
He decided to call Kim…
…but it seemed she was busy.
Wade told her that there were evil minions approaching Danville Town Hall.
Luckily, she had gotten help for this mission.
"It's good to have a partner for a mission…even if it's not Ron." noted Kim.
Perry nodded.
As it turned out, the OWCA had noticed what was going on as well.
Just in case, Ron would bring Rufus with him.
His good sense of smell allowed him to track Monkey Fist.
Seemed he wasn't at his usual lair.
He was at an abandoned warehouse.
Perhaps he figured it would be more convenient that way.
"I guess I'm going to have to save them." said Ron.
"Uh-huh!" agreed Rufus.
Were you surprised that Atrosis decided to work with the Senors? They seemed like a good match. Senior and Atrosis are two of the most affable villains around. Atrosis is by far the more energetic of the two though.
There's going to be some interference with her evil plans though.
Other villains want Roger for themselves.
