Things progressing with Sprig's upcoming date with Ivy were... Frankly going to hell and back as the clashing approaches on what he should do, the personal interests of others using the situation, and much more were just making things far more frustrating than Sprig could handle. Though, a positive which came from this was that Leo and Jemma were becoming accustomed to Amphibia. When the two SHIELD Agents would go about the wonders of the swamp land, he would tone them out because they would use big words that Sprig could not hope to understand. Yet, from the little that he could understand from the brainiacs was that Amphibia was not too different from Earth's own swamp lands. "So... Do you two wonder why Earth is similar to Amphibia? It is kind of odd that two different worlds seem almost the same." Sprig asked with some degree of interest, even if he would not be able to understand the complicated form of science which they studied.
"That is a good question, Sprig... To be blunt, it does seem like whoever created the various worlds within the cosmos didn't have much imagination with their design overall." Announced to Bio-Scientist while thinking over this detail. "However, there are benefits within the similar makeup between our worlds to a degree." She pressed on as Leo nodded in agreement with this analysis.
"Hopefully that means we wouldn't need to worry too much about diseases or infections too bizarre for us humans to endure. If they are what to expect from Earth, then we can treat them easily with the on-hand medical supplies we have stored on The Bus." Leo finished off with a smile before a concern did develop in his mind. "Though... Should we be concerned with some of the foral in Amphibia, Jemma?" The Tech Agent questioned as Sprig had a feeling where this was heading.
Grimly, Jemma was quick to confirm this detail before elaborating. "It is indeed quite possible that certain plant life and fungi would be far more advanced than what we are used to on Earth. Such as the Cordyceps Fungus... That is known as being able to take control of the hoshost'stire nervous system to help grow as well as protect it. That game series The Last of Us may be a reality in this world..." Jemma said aloud with a cold sweat.
"Wait... You don't need to worry about that mushroom on Earth?" Sprig questioned with utter shock about this, "You guys are definitely lucky to not have to worry about picking the wrong plants for food on a daily." He announced with admiration before realizing he had only made things worse for the humans' fear of this zombie-themed nightmare.
"Thank you for making sure that I will not sleep for the next month without being paranoid I will be transformed into a mushroom monstrosity at some point, Pink Frog..." Leo announced with clear sarcasm radiating from his voice. Tossing his arms up into the air out of minor rage for Sprig's ignorance regarding his word choice. Sprig immediately looked away from Leo while whistling with a nervous tone and twirling his fingers.
However, Ordis was not pleased by Fitz's outburst as he readied a teaser that buzzed with high voltage. "Ordis recommends that you apologize to Sprig before I, *Static* Zap you until you lay on the ground foaming from your mouth with permanent brain damage!" The floating robot threatens with his violent personality taking over as his eyes shine with a violent red while approaching Leo with a teaser upon an extended forearm.
"Jesus! I am sorry Sprig! Chill the hell out Ordis!" Leo shouted in fright at the actions of the glitchy robotic companion. Upon hearing this, Ordis revert to his 'calmer self' with a cheerful tone and delighted expression. Though, the nonmetal people among Ordis slowly backed away from him out of fear. Worried that his split personality might turn on them at any moment.
Sprig leaned over to Leo, holding a hand to block his words from the crazed AI. "Why did Marcy build this guy again?" The Magneta teenager asked with worry on his face. Yet, Leo nor Jemma had an answer for that question.
"Ordis was an early experiment of Marcy's. The little guy can be... A bit unstable at times, but he is very much a valuable asset to the team. Marcy's technology is super advanced. Like one of her Iron Heart Armors has the potential to wipe out an entire city if one of them got into the hands of some bad dude." Anne explained as she approached the trio with some folded-up clothing in her arms, "Ordis has a degree of operational control of Marcy's Technology and can command them at will if ever needed." She explained further as Ordis floated in a manner to show how prideful he was about the responsibility he held.
"Ordis' can do far more than command the numerous Iron Heart Suits that Marcy had created. Ordis can as well as hack into any system thanks to Ordis' AI Systems. Even in Ordis' early stages could Ordis break through SHIELD's best firewalls and cyber defenses! AIM had often struggled with Ordis' Technological Skills granted by Marcy Wu." The Robot declared with a cheerful tone and danced in midair.
"Anyways! I have something for you Sprig. A little outfit to make you look dapper and irresistible!" Anne proclaimed as she showed off... Some kind of Victorian Suit accompanied by a wig from the same era. "Old Hops said this would give you a good look for your little date." She bragged as Sprig, Ordis, Leo, and Jemma just gave her a very confused stare.
"Uhh... I thought Sprig was trying to ask Ivy on a date... I may not be an expert when it comes to social interactions and anything like that..." Began Leo as it was saying something as he was quite the example of social awkwardness, "But how is that gonna be useful here..." Questioned Fitz as Anne returned the confusion with a miffed scoff.
"It is important to make a good impression, Leo. Having a good outfit to make that impression would be a key detail." Explained the spider heroine with her hand moving to add a false sense of wisdom behind her words. Yet, Sprig did recognize the need to make a good first impression as helpful, but he was truly beginning to think all of this was just getting out of hand. Despite the best efforts of his friends, Sprig was seeing that conflicted efforts from everyone between his grandfather, Anne, and such weren't really good advice. He had read the magazine about dating advice yet the details were extremely weird, like showing off your attractive physical appearance or going overboard with your desire to ask the person out with a mariachi band to play a romantic song in the background... Though, the magenta frog had absolutely no idea what the hell a Mariachi Band even was. Ordis could sense this from his newest friend, even though he was an artificial being and had much to learn about the inner making of emotions. He was able to learn much from his first activation and now. Ordis secretly decided to contact Robbie's communicator and he managed to grab Sprig's attention as Leo and Jemma began to debate with Anne about potential outfits for Sprig as well as the most bizarre methods to approach Ivy. Sprig didn't decide to follow Ordis until Jemma began to suggest the mating method of the male peacock using its tail feathers to draw attention to his desired mate. That was enough weirdness for Sprig to begin following Ordis as the trio bickered among themselves.
Robbie was reviewing the message he had received from Ordis. He left Gabe and Frost for a moment to calm his head as Frost was indeed getting on his nerves as the Elsa Hothead basically tried to provoke him and Sparky within him. The Demonic Anti-Hero could not understand why Frost despised The Shirai Ryu and him so fucking much. Hell, he wasn't technically a real member of the rival Ninja Clan to The Lin Kuei as he only was associated with The Shirai Ryu to learn how to tame the Spirit of Vengence inside of him, not wanting its eternal desire to incinerate the souls of anyone it deemed as Guilty. He could tell that The Spirit views almost everyone as guilty from a tainted sense of good and evil. Thankfully, Robbie was not left to these thoughts as Sprig and Ordis soon arrived at his location within the woods. "About time you snuck out on your own to find me for relationship advice, Sprig. I can understand Coulson's reasoning to keep me out of the loop to get Leo and Jemma out of their comfort zone. Better for those two lovebirds to face their new environment than try to stand hidden within The Bus..." He began before leaning against a tree with a raised eyebrow for a particular detail, "But why did it take you so long to seek me out? I would have figured Ordis would have told you that I am the one who is actually dating someone..." He questioned as Sprig tried to come up with an excuse before Ordis soon played a recording of his own words.
"If anything, I think Robbie would make things more complicated than everyone else." Ordis played aloud as Sprig glared at the robot angrily. "Do you record everything I say or something?" He questioned as Ordis returned the glare with his own blank glare. Using his recording device built within his system, he played Sprig's exact current words once again.
Robbie couldn't help but laugh at this comedic exchange between the Amphibian and Robot AI. "You two remind me of Ratchet and Clank from the movie Gabe recommended to me. It was my first date with Sasha when we saw it. When it comes to dating, it is important to be yourself. Don't try to put up a false image of yourself to please her. After all, if Ivy truly cares about then you won't need to. Remember to breathe too." Robbie explained as Sprig was a bit surprised by the wisdom which was laid out, "It helps to allow yourself to breathe when your nerves get out of hand. Nearly fell on my face when I asked Sasha out, but most girls like dorky men and women." The Latino announced with a smirk as Sprig was a bit surprised by the dork comment.
"Wait? Didn't think that it was a... What would Anne call it?" Sprig pondered a bit.
"Ordis thinks that the word is Trend. Also, Sprig would be surprised by this fact. Robbie may come across as an Edge Lord to some. Yet the Demonic Anti-Hero does have a softer side within the rough exterior. Sasha has used the term 'A Rough Furredd Teddy Bear' to describe Robbie from time to time." Explained Ordis as Robbie began to glow with a minor blush which he did his best to hide.
Though, as the exchange of helpful dating advice went on. Coulson was currently in Stumpy's Dinner conducting research regarding Calamity Stones without Hops' knowledge along with other keen details about Amphibia. Such as potential groups which could either assist his team with returning home or side with AIM. For groups, he came across a very dangerous Criminal Group which had called themselves The Black Chickalisk, led by what looked like a cybernetically enhanced Poison Dart Frog named Kano. Yet, there were far more interesting details Coulson had discovered. This was focused on articles regarding a laboratory accident by a company called Roxxon and the accident was an unknown project being funded by what he gathered to be the current King of Amphibia, Andrias Leviathan. The SHIELD Agent was a bit taken off guard by how large the Newt King was compared to most natives among Amphibia. Though, within the news articles regarding the devastating accident of The Roxxon Company, an Axolotl woman named Hannah Hutchins who ran the project and had the blame for what had followed in the wake of destruction. Though, as Coulson drank some of the tea which was provided by Hops, he was a bit curious about the project. If anything, Phil thought it was worth looking into in hopes that this could be a lead to finding a way back to earth.
