I decided to make a Meap pun. Might as well since the creators of Phineas and Ferb like to do that.
And yeah, making Vivian a main character is working out well, at least for me. Even if she technically only appeared once on the show.
Ron and Vivian would make for a decent couple, but I also think that Vivian would be just a tiny bit happier with someone who also likes machines.
And Wade ended up fitting the bill. And of course, he did act a bit mischievous around girls during The Cupid Effect. Just a little though.
Ironically enough their relationship isn't unlike that of James and Anne Possible. They're both geniuses…if in slightly different ways.
Chapter 54: Nice To Meap You
Fortunately, Vivian and Wade weren't getting tired of lying on a mattress anytime soon.
Rescue wouldn't be too long now, though.
Baljeet and Buford were on their way.
After all, they didn't abandon people who needed their help.
"It makes me so excited, meeting the famous Vivian Porter!" exclaimed Baljeet. Despite her young age, James Possible considered her to be every bit as smart as himself.
Well, they could both still learn from each other. But they were kindred spirits. Perhaps James Possible was like a father to Vivian…which was a bit ironic considering he has three kids, one of which is his daughter.
Maybe he could ask for her autograph? He might as well since he was going to visit her.
"Is it because of how pretty she looks?" asked Buford. He actually agreed with him on that, though Baljeet and Buford were admittedly slightly different, Buford having stronger muscles and Baljeet being more even-tempered. Personally, he preferred girls that were tough.
"Well, that's one reason, but I have another reason." answered the young boy.
"Interesting." answered the boy with the black shirt.
Nearby, Isabella had a chat with Phineas and Ferb.
"Baljeet meeting Vivian Porter kind of reminds me of me meeting Kim Possible." answered Isabella. It felt really good meeting someone like her in the flesh…though at the end of the day, the two of them actually weren't so different.
She could tell that he was feeling excited about it.
"I found we got along with her mission control Wade." noted Phineas.
"We ended up helping him." spoke Ferb. His room was nice, but it was also nice to leave it every and then and get some fresh aid.
"You haven't bought another necklace, huh? At least you're not too upset about your loss." asked Wade.
Vivian did look slightly different with a bare neck, but it wasn't a big change.
"Is that a problem?" questioned Vivian.
"Well, you don't need jewelry to look pretty." noted the boy.
She chuckled. It was actually true. Perhaps it didn't matter how she dressed either. Though Wade didn't mind how she dressed. He was understanding.
"I've found that not buying more helps me to save money…which can go into my research. And I appreciate your flattery." remarked the girl.
"Will it get me everywhere?" asked Wade.
"Well, it won't get us out of this mess. But I really appreciate it." spoke Vivian.
"Yeah, it won't get us out of your room. But I'll keep doing it if that's what you want." answered the boy.
"But I don't mind spending time with you." spoke the girl.
"Yeah…time sure is flying fast, isn't it?" asked Wade.
"I know. It's almost as if the clock is broken." answered Vivian.
"It's not really broken though, is it?" questioned the boy. He could tell that it wasn't if he looked closely.
"I like to fix things, so no, it's not broken. Though I can understand why you would think that. Time truly is flying. Though I'm not sure if a flying clock would be practical though. How would you turn it off?" asked the girl.
"That's a very good question." agreed Wade.
"I actually liked how you decided to do research on Oliver. It was weird how he suddenly appeared out of thin air, isn't it?" questioned Vivian.
"Uh-huh." nodded the boy. There was something a little funny about him though.
"I assure you that Oliver and myself are close. I probably won't be building more robots like him, though. I don't want people thinking robots are disguising themselves as humans and trying to take over." remarked the girl.
"That would make for a good horror movie." answered Wade. Maybe they could watch a movie together sometime? It didn't have to be a date, but them hanging out as friends. He wouldn't strongly object to a date though.
"Yeah. My robots always remain loyal to me though. They follow the laws." spoke Vivian. They could be a bit unpredictable (as was the case of the spider robot), but they would never betray her.
"Yeah…but Dr. Drakken's Bebe robots turned against him, didn't they?" asked the boy. That was part of what had made them scary,
Well, that and they kidnapped people. Though he didn't strongly object to them kidnapping Bonnie. The cheerleading squad did wish she would disappear sometimes. Though Tara actually cried when she discovered she had disappeared.
"Mm-hmm. I will admit that perhaps Mr. Possible and his friends shouldn't have acted the way they did to Drew Lipsky…but they were not wrong when they pointed out that giving them an obsession with being perfect wasn't a good idea. We all have imperfections, like me being stuck in a pretty girl's body when I try to teach people I'm a genius. So it was only a matter of time before they decided they wanted a new leader. Preferably a queen." noted the girl.
"Those are two things that I like about you. You having a pretty body and you having a brilliant mind." explained Wade.
"Yeah. That's why I consider you to be my friend…heck, you might even be my best friend. The other one of course would probably be Oliver." remarked Vivian.
"And yeah…Shego was probably more loyal to Drakken than those robots were. Did she have the day off the night the scientists started disappearing?" asked Wade. When the Bebes were present, Shego never seemed to be present.
"I think so. Though they might actually consider Shego to be more perfect than Drakken is." noted Vivian. After all, did she not have superpowers?
"Good point." agreed Wade.
Meanwhile…
Gill spat out his sludge, but Kim was fast on her feet.
She wouldn't have been as successful fighting evil if she weren't.
"To be honest, I actually find this to be more fun. Maybe my gal Camille was right. I've fought the squeeb before, but I haven't really gotten a chance to fight you." noted Gill.
"I guess not." answered Kim. Though Gill and Ron had a shared history together.
"But I have to admit, it wasn't hard for me to attach you to a tree." remarked the monster. Hope she didn't mind hugging them.
"Admittedly, yes. But I'm kind of prepared this time." explained the cheerleader.
Suddenly, he noticed Meap.
"I don't get it…why do you have such an adorable sidekick? Do you think you can take me down with a puppy dog pout?" asked Gill. That wasn't going to work.
"No, but I assure you, he's a great ally to have. You probably know this already, but not fighting alone has its perks." answered Kim. She had been making alliances.
"I know. Camille made it so much easier for me to conquer Camp Wannaweep. Though Dr. Doofenshmirtz did outsmart me in the end." noted the monster.
"I could have brought a freeze ray, but I assumed you would melt it with your sludge. It can be corrosive at times, though a mild amount of it is relatively harmless." noted the cheerleader.
"Of course I would! I learn and adjust." remarked Gill.
"Exactly. But don't forget, so do I." spoke Kim.
"Oh really?" asked the monster.
Suddenly, he puked on Kim.
She was once again trapped because of goo.
Though it on on the fence as to what animal she would transform into.
It was kind of random. Though based on what happened to Ron, it would match her personality and appearance somehow.
"You're as disgusting as ever." remarked the cheerleader. No wonder Ron didn't like him. Perhaps he shouldn't have been allowed to stay at Camp Wannaweep.
It made her briefly wonder why Camille hung out with him.
But then again, she did sneeze acid.
"Ha! So much for you learning and adjusting!" exclaimed Gill. That had almost been too easy. Though he could say the same about mutating Mr. Barkin. Though why did he mutate so much faster than the others? He wasn't sure.
Much to his surprise, Kim used her super strength to break free.
"You were saying? About me not learning and adjusting?" asked Kim.
"Well, how was I supposed to know you had a superpower?" questioned the monster. To his knowledge, Kim Possible did not grow up in Go City. She grew up in the relatively normal Middleton.
But then again, she was part of a family of superheroes…in a way.
"I was already kind of super strong to begin with. Though I will admit you're not entirely wrong." answered Kim.
"I agree. But I still have a way of winning this!" exclaimed Gill.
"Feel free to show me then." said the cheerleader.
Gill clapped his hands, and some of DNAmy's mutants appeared.
One of them was a cross between a sheep and a pig.
"Let's just how long it takes until you lose your strength…your super strength." noted Gill.
"Good idea. But don't forget, I brought help too. I don't try to save the world alone. Besides, I like making friends. You enjoy being with Camille, do you not?" asked Kim.
"We both share the same sense of humor, so yes!" exclaimed the monster.
Kim was inclined to agree. She couldn't say that either of them had a good sense of humor, however. Who else would think turning Dr. Lurkin into a monkey was a good idea?
"I hope Ron is doing well against her." spoke the cheerleader.
She could try to help him, but she couldn't change what Gill and Camille had already decided.
Besides, she actually happened to like fighting Ron's camp bully.
It made her angry that he insulted him for such petty reasons. No wonder he and Ron had ended up as enemies.
So she decided she was going to try to take him down.
If she couldn't win, then so be it. But she was certainly going to do her best.
And they did say anything was possible for a possible. She basically heard it every single day.
Meanwhile…
Ron continued to run, but his female opponent had no intention of giving up the chase.
He was currently in a hallway that had a portrait of Monkey Fist.
Wait, was she still chasing him?
Upon closer inspection, it seemed that she had disappeared.
Where did she go?
"Huh? Did she give up the chase? That's a relief. I was starting to run out of breath anyway." noted Ron. Maybe now he could drink a soda.
Perhaps he should consider helping Kim. There was a possibility that Camille had gone after her instead.
However, it didn't seem like Gill would want Ron to be ignored. He would no doubt want him to be humiliated.
He wasn't sure how he could help Rufus. Unfortunately, he did not have Mego's power of shrinking.
His power was very special though in itself though. Didn't mystical monkey power sound awesome?
He actually thought it sounded kind of cool. Though having it did make him an enemy of Monkey Fist.
Speaking of Monkey Fist, he saw the portrait.
"Does she have to keep a portrait of him in her house? It makes me think that's he's watching me." noted Ron. The less that Monkey Fist knew about him, the better. After all, didn't Dr. Drakken study his archnemesis greatly work in his favor? He seemed to have forgotten that information though.
Since he was feeling kind of hungry, he decided to check what was in the fridge of DNAmy.
"These tacos sound good." noted Ron.
Suddenly, he found himself being grabbed.
Stoppable gasped.
He had been wrapped up by the tongue of Camille Leon, who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere.
How did she do it?
"Surprise, squeeb! Guess what? Sometimes an ambush works better than chasing!" exclaimed the chameleon.
"I suppose it does. But how did you do that?" asked Ron.
"You do realize that I'm a chameleon, don't you?" questioned Camille. It seemed kind of obvious, especially given what her name was.
"Oh yeah. Chameleons are natural hiders." noted the boy. Unfortunately, this worked against both predators and prey.
Camille changed colors to make a point. She liked the color green, but she could choose a different color if she felt it would suit her mood.
"It kind of makes me feel like a rainbow, to be honest with you." admitted the chameleon. Which was appropriate considers she had every intention to rain on Ron's parade.
"To me it feels like a rainbow of doom." noted Ron.
"I think I'll bond you and Rufus together with DNAmy's machine. It doesn't seem like you two would strongly object to that." answered Camille.
And she was excited to see the end result.
"Yeah, I suppose you may have a point, but how will Kim date me if I'm a naked mole man? I like the shirt I wear, thank you very much." spoke Ron.
"I hang out with a frog, don't I?" asked the chameleon.
"Yeah. But you are a chameleon. Though I've found out that frogs and chameleons aren't so similar." noted the boy. One of them was decidedly less noisy than the other…and liked to hang out on lily pads.
"Maybe, but I've still found Gill and myself to be a good match." answered Camille.
"You're not wrong." admitted Ron.
"Let's get you strapped down, shall we?" asked the teenage mutant girl. After that, she would go after Rufus. Her tongue would probably be useful.
Suddenly, Ron noticed that there was hot sauce in the fridge.
He just might be able to use it to free himself.
It was worth a try.
So he decided to use it.
It worked surprisingly well.
"Aaaahhhh! Hot hot hot!" exclaimed Camille, who now had spicy sauce on her tongue.
Immediately, she let go of Ron.
She was starting to see why Gill had once been outsmarted by Ron.
He had discovered a weakness.
Though it was kind of silly…like Gill's weakness against salt.
Maybe not quite as silly though. After all, not everyone wanted hot sauce on their food.
She was feeling a closer understanding to Gill now though. Even if it was close to begin with.
Ron decided to make a break for it.
Though to be honest, he was getting tired of that.
Perhaps he should take the fight to Camille instead.
Kim just might want that.
Unfortunately, the chameleon girl wasn't going to give up easily. Ron was proving difficult to catch, but she was enjoying the challenge.
Maybe instead of using her tongue, she could use her acid instead.
She had more than one power, after all.
Having a versatile arsenal had its perks.
Atrosis knew it all too well.
Unfortunately, Ron had escaped.
Perhaps he was trying to distract her while Gill fought Kim.
If so, it was working.
But on the other hand, it seemed like a bad idea not to keep an eye on him.
If she hadn't done anything about Rufus, there wouldn't be anything stopping him from destroying DNAmy's machine.
But she got the feeling there was a chance Debutante could handle things.
She was loyal, after all.
Fir now, she was going to try to wash the hot sauce off her tongue.
She would feel better that way.
Meanwhile…
Fortunately for Rufus, he discovered that there were indeed wires he could chew on.
"No need wire cutters." remarked the naked mole rat. It would be a bit hard for him to carry them.
But he couldn't help but shake the feeling that things were about to get more complicated. Sometimes, performing a task was harder than it looked.
It was a hunch…but Rufus always felt that his instincts were trustworthy.
"Meow!" exclaimed a familiar voice.
Rufus gasped in alarm.
He knew that meow well enough to recognize who it belonged to.
Sure enough, it was Debutante.
He began to sweat nervously.
The naked mole rat wasn't quite sure how she had managed to find him…but it quickly occurred to him how that might be the case.
"Camille sent you?" asked Rufus. He kind of felt like she did. It would be the perfect way to stop from sabotaging the machine, he imagined.
Debutante nodded.
"Uh-oh!" exclaimed the naked mole rat. It looked like he was in trouble. Hairy trouble. Well, maybe hairy wasn't the right choice of words.
Additionally, it looked like Camille could think like his own owner. Perhaps Gill had made a good choice making Camille his sidekick. Gill could think like Kim, after all.
Perhaps he shouldn't keep on sabotaging. Not while there was a hairless cat that was with him.
Maybe…he needed to make a run for it.
"Aaaahhhh!" exclaimed Rufus.
He decided to do that.
But the thing is about a cat…if you run, it'll actually consider chasing you.
Sure enough, Debutante decided to do so.
Could Rufus escape?
"I wonder why I hear meowing." questioned DNAmy.
To her knowledge, she did not own a cat.
Though it might not be such a bad idea. Maybe she could make a mutant cat?
But then again, she already kind of had a lot of pets as it was.
Fortunately, it seemed that Tougho was starting to stir.
"Oh good! Just in the nick of time too." noted the woman.
"Are you alright, mistress?" asked Tougho.
"Yes! But I'm afraid that meanie Kim got the better of you." noted DNAmy.
Sometimes strength and smarts could come in one package.
"Should I keep fighting?" questioned the butler.
"I'd like to think Gill and Camille can handle things." answered the woman with glasses.
"Maybe." spoke the man.
Although, there was something a little bit off about the alien that was with them.
Perhaps he should do something about him.
Might as well since everyone else had their hands tied at the moment.
He decided to approach Meap.
The innocent alien was helping Kim fight the chimeras.
She ended up noticing Tougho before she did.
"Um, Meap, I think you're in a bad situation." warned Kim, pointing to the evil butler.
Meap was inclined to agree.
"I can't say I approve of alien invaders in this house." noted Tougho.
"I guess I kind of am." answered Meap.
"If you won't leave, I will force you out…and send you to the planet where you came from." spoke the man.
Meap shook his head.
"So be it." answered Tougho.
He attempted to stomp Meap, but he moved out of the way.
"Fast on your feet, are you? Perhaps I shouldn't underestimate you despite your small size." remarked Tougho.
"Not underestimating me? I suppose I should comment on your intellect, even if you're a muscle man." noted Meap.
Kim attempted to use the lip gloss…but Tougho crushed it with his bare hand. His right one to be precise.
"I'm actually inclined to agree." nodded the cheerleader.
Could Meap defeat the evil butler?
Admittedly, he was a powerful fighter…but he shouldn't underestimate Tougho.
He could give Hego a run for his money, after all.
Either way, Meap was going to do his best.
"I can do this!" exclaimed the alien.
Somebody felt that making Vivian have more screenrime woukd be a good idea. Perhaps making her a main character will make this fanfic unique. And I don't mind giving her more character development.
The good thing about writing one-shot characters is that you have freedom to give them whatever personality you want…for the most part. Though it was impressive how much personality Vivian was given in just one episode.
I can probably always give her more though. She does work with Kim's dad, after all.
I actually kind of agree. I could ship her with Ron but I want to try something a little more creative.
