Arizona Robbins was used to being the new kid. Since she was a military brat and all. But last year her brother, Tim, graduated so she wouldn't have her best friend this time. Thankfully her dad promised her this is the last time they move until she graduates which is a whole 3 years away so she can finally make friends. Moving around a lot meant no time for friends because just a quickly as you make them you have to leave them. But Arizona did have a best friend named Nick. Every time the Robbins's moved Nick's family moved so they have been living together all their life except for 5 months when the Robbins's went to Germany and Nick's family went to Japan. But Nick graduated this year so it was just her. Arizona was still optimistic because her dad got a house that wasn't on base so she knew they weren't moving for a long time. She was happy for the permanent stay but she just wished it wasn't Seattle old gloomy Seattle. The Robbins family got here late may since Arizona just did online school the last two months of her 10th-grade year. they moved as early as they could so that Arizona could get used to Seattle and make some new friends before the year started because it was like she had nick or Tim and being friends with your parents isn't exactly popular material. So her parents force her to go with the neighbor girl to the movies even though she wasn't the type of girl Arizona would hang out with. so Arizona sighed as she slipped her Paramore shirt on with oversized ripped jeans and some converse. Even though it was well into the day Arizona has just begun.

" Look whos up Daniel I thought the vampire would never arise," Barbara teased as Arizona walked down the steps.

"Hahaha very funny mom," Arizona said sarcastically.

"It's 2 pm Arizona we thought you had died," Daniel taunted.

"And you didn't come to check wow guys just wow," Said Arizona playing along with them.

Arizona grabbed an apple out of the fruit basket and took a huge chunk out of it.

"when's that girl supposed to be here what's her name anyway Lindsey, Laurie, Lizzy," Arizona tried to guess.

"It's lexie and I think it'll be good for you," said Barbara in a concerned tone.

"How", Arizona replied.

"That way you can make new friends, "answered Barbara.

"I thought we agreed we would leave that up to me," Arizona said with a hint of irritation in her voice.

"We did I'm just worried," Barbara expressed.

"Why, "said Arizona now irritated wanting answers.

"Because sweetie and don't take this in any offense but you've never made friends you've made acquaintances but never friends," Arizona opened her mouth to speak but barbara continued, "you know Nick was Tim's friend first and just started to hang out with them.

Arizona sat with her mouth open

"She'll be here in around five minutes", daniel said after watching the whole ordeal.

Arizona went back to eating her apple sitting on a stool by the island. daniel went back to watch tv while reading the newspaper and barbara continued to clean the kitchen. After a few minutes, there was a ring on the doorbell.

"That must be her," Barbara exclaimed.

Barbara opened the door to a 15ish brunette with a shoulder-length bob with a clip in her hair to keep her grown-out bang from out of her face. Arizona couldn't see what she had on but she seemed cool just from the looks of it. Maybe Arizona was wrong and this lexie chick wasn't so bad.

"Hey, Mrs. Robbins I'm here to pick up Arizona," said Lexie.

"She just inside why don't you come in," offered Barbara.

"No I'm good we should get going we don't want to be late," said lexie politely declined her offer.

"I thought the movie started at 7 it's only 2:32," barbara rebuttable.

"Yeah but I wanted to show Arizona around," explained Lexie.

"Oh ok well let me just go get her," said barbara turning around. "Arizona," Barbara yelled into the kitchen," Lexies here".

Arizona contemplated faking sleep or an illness so she could stay in and binged watched her favorite show on Netflix but she knew her mom was worried about her making friends so she just answered

"Coming mom"

She threw the unfinished apple in the garbage and dragged her feet to the door.

The brunette girl with doe eyes stuck her hand out to shake "hi my name is lexie I live two doors down in the yellow house," said lexie eager to meet Arizona.

"Well my name is Arizona and I think we should leave before my mom decides to trade me for you," Arizona said in a sarcastic tone.

"Ok well let's get going then," said lexie"goodbye Mrs robbins".

"What time will you have Arizona back," asked barbara. "by 10 or 10:30," answered lexie.

"All alright here 40 bucks Arizona don't do anything you normally wouldn't do," said barbara before she let Arizona leave.

Arizona grabbed her purse made sure she had her phone and everything else she needed when she was all set she left. When they gt outside it was lightly drizzling.

"I should've brought an umbrella," Lexie mumbled in annoyance.

"We can use my truck," Arizona offered for convenience.

"It's fine we can use my car it'll be easier with directions," Lexie declined.

"Ok," said Arizona under her breathe.

They walked in silence until they got to this small yellow house which didn't take long.

Lexie unlocked the door to a shiny black car Arizona didn't know what kinda but she knew it had to be new.

"We're not riding in this its mine but my dad taking a look at the brakes so were riding in my mom car," explained lexie as she pointed to a candy red SUV " I'm just getting something out of my car"

"Oh," said Arizona

Just as lexie shut the car door rain start to pour. they both run to the car Arizona gets a glimpse of what lexie grabbed a bag with a pink umbrella sticking out. They made it to the SUV only half-drenched.

"Are you good," asked lexie

"Yes I'm good what about you, "Arizona asked back.

"I'm good our destination isn't too far we can dry off when we get there," replied lexie.

"cool," said Arizona.

Half of the car ride was in silence until lexie realized neither of them would speak so she turned on the radio and they listened to that for the remainder of the ride. they pulled in a long driveway and parked next to an all-white hummer and behind a ranger rover. the hummers licenses plate read addie04. Lexie pulled out her phone and called someone.

"Hey Mer," lexie said with excitement. there was a pause before lexie continued. "yes mer i have the book chill Webber just gave us the packet last week," Lexie said kinda annoyed. "i know Mer but-," before lexie could continue she was cut off, "mer we have all summer i know Ellis is crazy but we still have all summer". there was a long pause before lexie speaks again "open your garage and hurry it's raining and I hope you don't mind I brought a friend," lexie kinda squeezed in the last part. "ok bye," lexie rushed ending the phone call. Lexie gave Arizona a reassuring look but it didn't work as Lexie had hoped, it just made zona more worried. The garage door opened and in a last-minute effort to not get complete soaked Arizona made a run for it. Arizona made it in first with Lexie behind not getting what Arizona was doing at first. Arizona wasn't completely wet but her hair was. the door leading to inside the house opened. An average height blonde with blue eyes leaned up against the door.

"What did we say about taking in strays," lexie," said the mystery woman.

"She's not a stray her family just moved on the block and she needed friends so i volunteered," said lexie with puppy dog eyes

Arizona just watched with a crazy look on her face

"What if she's crazy," said the mystery woman

"Umm I'm standing right here," said Arizona.

"I'm sorry," whispered Lexie

"And how do you know she not planing our deaths," said the mystery women.

"What do you mean?" asked lexie confused.

"We've been talking about her and she hasn't said a word so she either deaf or she plots out deaths," replied the mystery girl.

"Well it's neither so move Mer were freezing," Lexie said pushing Meredith out of the way.

Lexie lead them in what seemed to be the kitchen. "I'll get you a towel you stay here," Lexie instructed. And Arizona planned on doing that. Just as the fridge shut it showed a girl with raven-colored curls standing behind it. She looked at Arizona confused until the "mer" girl came back.

"Lexie brought in a stray," said the blonde to the raven-haired one.

"Oh that definitely makes since she so welcoming i don't know how you and little grey are related," the raven-haired girl expressed.

"By the way, you have nothing in your fridge but apple juice so you should order takeout," the raven-haired girl said before taking her apple juice and going into what Arizona presumed to be the living/family room.

"Lexie brought a stray," the raven-haired one said.

Arizona heard a few voices one said "be nice Cristina" another said "really" they sounded kinda intrigued and a deeper voice said "don't say that" which Arizona presumed to be a male voice.

a tall blonde walked into the kitchen where Arizona was waiting and she prayed lexie would find some towels quicker.

"Hey my name Izzie," said the tall blonde

"My names Arizona,"

"Like the state," asked Izzie

"No like the battleship my great-grandpa died after saving 19 men on it," explained Arizona.

"Oh thank god not that your great-grandpa died but that you weren't named after the state you were conceived in," giggle Izzie.

"My name would be Missouri then," laughed Arizona.

"Eww," chuckled Izzie. "come with me,"

"Lexie told me to wait right here," Arizona explained

"Lexie can find us come on," Izzie said.

And with that Arizona followed Izzie until they got into the area with a big grey couch and a love seat with a tv on the wall.

"This is Callie,"she said pointing to an olive skin girl.

" Hey," the girl with the intriguing brown eyes said with a warm tone

"That's mark," she said point to a talk blonde stilling next to the olive-skinned girl. he gave a short smile with a smirk.

"That's Amelia," she said point to the one that look like the other one sitting on the love seat. She gave back a warm smile.

" And that Owen," she said pointing to the one seated on the floor by amelias legs. Owen offered a quick wave.

"That's George," she said pointing to the brunette guy sitting on the opposite side of Callie. He gave a quick nod paired with a smile.

"That's Derek,"she said point to the on in the love seat. She could only assume Amelia and Derek are related but how much they look alike.

"And thats Alex stay away from him we call him evil spawn,"she said pointing to the guy stilling on the end of the couch whispering the last part. He leaned back on his hands with a smug smirk giving a wink. It just made Arizona feel gross.

" I'm sure you've met dark and twisty number one and dark and twisty number two," she pointed to the two girls snuggled together on the other end of the couch putting on innocent faces to be funny.

"And i know you meet Lexie"

And with that lexie came back with a towel.

"Thank god," arizona thought she whispered.

"They couldn't have tortured you that bad,"said lexie playfully.

They laughed

" Well I hope you don't mind but mer just wanted us all to get a head start on our summer assignment and after that, we can go to the movies sound good?"asked Lexie.

Arizona nodded in agreement.

"Cool," replied Lexie as she pulled out her book. "by the way mer you need to do laundry," Lexie said before opening the book.

"Damnit," Meredith said.

The whole time the group read Callie kept catching her self starting at Arizona. She was intrigued by the blonde girl and vise versa .it was like a magnetic force was pulling them but Arizona didn't know what.
