In this chapter, Drakken and Dementor will fight each other again.
You're probably looking forward to that.
But Kim herself will join the fray, as she did before.
Who will win? Will Dementor keep the inducer? Will Drakken steal it? Or will Kim return the inducer to its rightful owners? You're probably preferring the last one.
Though of course, Perry has a plot of his own.
And unfortunately for someone, there's still an alien hunting Dementor down.
Chapter 57: Las Vegas Squared
Currently, our three heroes (two human, and one naked mole rat) were on their way to Las Vegas. They weren't headed to the casinos, however. they would go there some other time, perhaps.
They were using a helicopter. Luckily, the pilot was careful to keep it fueled so it didn't spiral out of control.
He was also careful not to crash into anything. No point in making cracks in the windshield.
And yes, this was not their first time riding on one of them. They had been in multiple kinds of vehicles, in fact, including flying ones. It didn't really matter as long as it got them to their destination safely.
"Thanks for taking us to Las Vegas." said Kim. This wasn't the first time she had visited, so perhaps it wouldn't be her last. The weather in the state was pretty nice, after all.
"It's the least I could do after you stopped Duff Killigan for blowing up my house." answered the pilot, who was named Russell. All that just because Russell didn't like playing golf.
Besides, he wanted to go gambling.
"Maybe if we're lucky Drakken and Dementor will take each other down and save us the trouble of retrieving the Pandimensional Vortex Inducer from them." noted Ron.
"Perhaps. I can see why you'd feel lucky considering where we're going. But I'm not the type of person to take chances. Not ones that I feel are unnecessary, anyway." remarked Kim.
"Still, taking on both Dementor and Drakken at once sounds kind of hairy." noted Ron. One mad scientist was bad enough in his opinion. Two of them and he might lose one of his marbles himself. And each of them had their own superpowered sidekicks.
Though on the lighter side, neither of those two were concocting experiments to turn people into monkeys. That would be the stuff of nightmares.
"I know. But don't forget that I'm super strong now." pointed out Kim.
"Reminds me of when I took a muscle ring with me." answered the boy.
"You managed to save the day by just being you. Don't forget, you're my sidekick for a reason." spoke the cheerleader.
"I guess I am. Just like Rufus is my sidekick. Though he's a slightly different person these days." remarked Ron. Not that he had given up Bueno Nacho, of course.
"Uh-huh!" exclaimed Rufus.
Nowadays, he was a secret agent.
He was proud of his work…though he had been confident in himself to believe with. Ron did think he was awesome, after all. And so did Kim…though it took her a short while to warm up to him. Rufus was a tad unusual for a mammal…kind of like Perry himself.
Just as he was happy he fought evil, Rufus imagined Perry was pleased with himself for fighting the wicked as well. It did keep Phineas and Ferb safe, after all.
Rufus imagined he was doing so now.
Chances are he was fighting Doofenshmirtz.
He had also fought other villains though.
Just as he had fought alongside a naked mole rat.
At Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated…
Perry confronted Doofenshmirtz, with Vivian close by.
"Ah, Perry the Platypus. I'm surprised to see you…just kidding!" exclaimed Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
He pulled out a ray gun that fired chains. Luckily, he had help this time, which made trapping Perry easier.
Perry found himself chained up.
How was he going to escape this time? These chains were sturdy.
"Though to be honest, I'm surprised that you brought a sidekick this time…at least, one that was human." spoke the pharmacist. If it was Rufus, he wouldn't be surprised. But this was not a naked mole rat, regardless of the fact that Vivian didn't wear too much.
"To be honest, I'm more of a spec-"
Suddenly, Doofenshmirtz used a rope gun to bind Vivian.
"Just as you were expecting Perry to show up, I wasn't very surprised this ended up happening." remarked the blonde teenage girl. It wouldn't be the first time for her. And it probably wasn't going to be the last, either. Kind of like Kim's latest trip to Nevada.
"Gruggg…" spoke Perry.
"This happens regularly to you too, huh?" asked Vivian. "I guess we're kindred spirits."
He nodded. Though it was a bit ironic considering he fought a scientist throughout the summer. Not all scientists were evil though. He knew that his owners were young scientists, though he wasn't around to see what they built. Carl had told him all about it.
"I will admit being wrapped up makes me feel a bit nervous, but I figure if I try to wriggle my way out of this, I'll probably end up giving myself rope burns." noted the girl.
Perry nodded again. No point in hurting herself. Though he did have a first aid kit in case of emergency inside his hover car.
"In order to avoid being burnt, I'll just try to relax." spoke the scientist. Perhaps she can be rescued by Perry, once he escaped like he always did.
Those chains looked rather strong though.
"Now then, it's time for me to narrate my tragic backstory." explained Doofenshmirtz.
"I guess people don't become evil just for the thrill of it." noted Vivian. Senor Senior was a bit of an exception though. Was money the source of evil? He probably wouldn't become a bad guy if he wasn't bored with his lifestyle.
Perry raised an eyebrow.
"What's that? Will it involve my parents? Actually, this one doesn't involve my parents." spoke the scientist. He could understand why Perry would think that though. He had been forced to play the role of a lawn gnome, even though the only evil witch in the neighborhood was probably his own mother.
Agent P shrugged.
"I should probably talk to your parents about how to raise a child. I have experience with Oliver." noted Vivian.
Perry was curious.
"Hmm? Oh…I'm actually as young as I look. Oliver is a robot…but to be honest, raising him is kind of like raising a child." explained the teenage girl.
She didn't need to feed him, of course, but an occasional checkup was a good idea.
Perry agreed with her regarding Doofenshmirtz's parents, but pointed out that their younger son Roger was mayor of Danville.
"Well, they did well with one child at least. But neglect isn't healthy for anyone." remarked Vivian. It could lead them to do crazy things for attention.
"I was wondering why Vanessa called my grandparents lame…that made them cry." noted Heinz.
"I guess they can't take punishment as well as they give it." suggested the blonde. It was ironic.
"Anyways, you want me to explain my motives now, right?" asked Doofenshmirtz.
"Why not?" asked V. H. Porter.
"You know how I had to be careful with my Doonkelberry cake or it would get eaten by bats? Well, I became worried that the bats would eat all my delicious desserts and leave me with nothing." explained Doof. That would make him a very sad man, and it ess always sad to watch a grown man cry. Except maybe Eric the Synthodrone.
"That does sound like a problem." noted Vivian. Who would have thought that bats would love cake so much? She was under the impression that they would like something like fruit…or insects.
Ironically, he has given Perry an idea as to how to escape his cake mix when he had said that.
"Luckily, I realized I could build an inator that would provide a solution to my problems." continued the scientist that always seemed to encounter bad luck.
"So, all you're doing is making sweets? Maybe Perry doesn't need to stop you." remarked the blonde. The worst that would do was give someone a sugar rush.
"Now I won't need to worry about bats…I have a machine that I can use to always make more!" exclaimed the scientist.
"Do you call it the Doonkelinator?" asked Vivian.
"How'd you guess?" asked Heinz.
"It takes a scientist to know a scientist." explained the blonde. That, and she did some research on Dr. Doofenshmirtz before going in, just to be on the safe side.
"You're a scientist?" questioned Doofenshmirtz.
He was expecting one to wear a lab coat. Even if it did cause people to mistake him for a pharmacist. Though pain medicine might be useful given how often he fought Perry the Platypus.
Admittedly, he was a resilient man, but still.
"Don't be too surprised. Your archenemy is a platypus." reminded Vivian. A platypus that knew kung fu, no less.
As a side note, she had watched some of the OWCA practicing their moves at the training center. They often used that when their nemeses were taking a break from evil.
Perry nodded.
"I guess I can't forget that. Well, time to make some Doonkelberry cake! And maybe some pie while I'm at it…" noted Doofenshmirtz. Either one seemed like a good choice, though he should consider getting whipped cream in either case.
"That's it? You can do something more evil." answered Dr. Fen from the other room. He was expecting more from the man that once built a device that would make so many things disappear.
"Huh?" asked Vivian.
That voice sounded familiar, and not in a good way.
As it turned out, it was her own personal nemesis. She recognized him the moment he stepped into the room.
Dr. Fen, the fraud that stole other people's work. And the one that tried to destroy her work…in the worst possible way.
It looked they finally met again.
She glared at him.
"Vivian? Small world, isn't it?" asked Dr. Fen.
He wasn't expecting her to meet her again after escaping from prison. Not so soon, anyway.
"Do you know how I felt when you tried to smash my robot ex-boyfriend?" questioned Vivian. They had broken up, of course, but it still frightened her.
She didn't think he would sink that low, but he had.
"He was just a tin can." answered the man in the white lab coat with a much shorter last name than Doofenshmirtz.
"You beast!" exclaimed the blonde.
"We'll settle this later. For now, I was thinking we could rob the Middleton Space Center. Would you think that's a good idea, doctor?" suggested Dr. Fen. There were all sorts of things there that he liked.
"The Middleton Space Center? It would be interesting to build a rocket to Mars." noted Doofenshmirtz. Maybe he could persuade the Martians to join his cause.
"There are also several blueprints we can swipe." pointed out the robotics thief. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, in his opinion.
Heinz might be surprised what they built there…since he had never gone himself.
"Ooh, maybe I can build more robots!" exclaimed the hunchbacked scientist. He wouldn't do the things that his 2nd dimension counterpart did though. He had to draw the line somewhere. Besides, he didn't want to wear an eyepatch, so he probably wouldn't turn his nemesis into a robot.
"That's a great idea." nodded Dr. Fen.
Perry considered it unfortunate that he had met another evil scientist. He was filling his nemesis's mind with evil ideas.
If he wasn't around to give him evil advice, then Agent P wouldn't even need to fight Doofenshmirtz today.
"Let's get going, shall we?" asked Doofenshmirtz. The prospect of stealing from other scientists made him feel giddy.
Together, the two of them drove towards the space center.
Perry couldn't help but feel worried for the Middleton Space Center.
Though perhaps this wasn't the first time a villain had attacked it.
Would they be prepared?
However, he noticed Vivian was looking rather…angry.
"That little gremlin! How dare he decide to pilfer from the space center!" exclaimed the scientist. James Possible was a close friend of hers…and he happened to work there.
Suddenly, her anger allowed her to break free from the ropes, right after she let out a loud growl.
"Wait, did I just do that? I'm pleased with myself." noted Vivian. It made her feel a bit like Kim Possible. And she didn't need a laser ring in order to do it. Those could be dangerous in the wrong hands anyway…or fingers as the case may be.
"Gruggg?" asked Perry.
"As much as I would like to stop Dr. Fen from robbing the space center, I should probably help you first." admitted the blonde. The OWCA agents were busy with their own missions, so if Perry sent an SOS, it would take some time for one to show up. Especially if the agent sent was Agent S.
And by then, Doofenshmirtz and Fen might have already succeeded in their task.
Besides, she probably couldn't stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz on his own. He didn't fight girls (he did have a daughter, after all), but he probably had more traps where that came from.
Agent P smiled.
"Given my large IQ, I imagine I should be able to come up with a way to help you escape. I guess for once you can't do that on your own." noted Vivian.
"Gruggg…" spoke the platypus.
"You think Dr. Fen helped design that chain blaster? That would explain why you can't escape." suggested the female scientist.
Perry noted that was possible.
"Maybe I can get some help from Wade…he might be busy helping Kim, Ron, and Rufus though." noted Vivian.
The semi-aquatic mammal nodded.
Suddenly, Norm stopped by.
"Hey there! My name is Norm!" exclaimed the robot.
"He built one too, didn't he?" asked Vivian. Perhaps Oliver wasn't going to be lonely.
Perry found that to be an interesting coincidence.
Suddenly, he had an idea.
He beckoned Vivian to remove his hat.
"You want me to remove your hat? Alright, but there's nobody here that would risk blowing your cover." pointed out Vivian. Phineas and Ferb were not here.
He agreed, but there was a different reason he was doing that.
She took off Perry's hat.
Agent P figured if this worked on his nemesis, it would also work on his nemesis's robot.
"I wonder why my father let this platypus in." questioned Norm.
And from the looks of things, it was working.
Realizing what Perry had planned, Vivian decided to play along.
"Can you help him? He got caught in one of Doofenshmirtz's traps." explained the beautiful girl.
"Does he sometimes leave them lying around?" asked Norm. If so, he would advise his creator to be more careful.
"Sometimes he does. Luckily, Vanessa is lucky enough not to trigger them. But this poor platypus didn't see it coming. So can you help?" asked Vivian.
It would strongly be appreciated.
Norm nodded and broke the chains with his bare hands.
"What do you know. That worked." remarked Vivian. Perry might not be human, but he could certainly think like one. Thiugh it wasn't too surprising considering
Perry gave the thumbs up.
Now that he was free, it was time to leave Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated and stop two evil scientists from taking what didn't belong to them.
At Phineas and Ferb's house…
At their house, Phineas and Ferb were discussing their pet.
"I'm not sure where Perry is, but I get the feeling he made a friend." noted Phineas. He knew how that felt, but he never got tired of the feeling, and neither did his stepbrother.
Ferb wondered who that friend was.
Was it another platypus? Perry was far from the last of his kind.
Or was it another mammal at all?
He wouldn't be surprised if it were a sloth, since Perry didn't do much. Though he never saw Perry hanging from a tree in their backyard.
And yes, even though they had moved, they still had a tree in their backyard. It made the two of them feel closer to nature.
Recently, Ferb had discovered echidnas could lay eggs, so platypuses weren't the sole mammal to do so.
Their eggs were leathery though.
So maybe Perry had made friends with one.
Ferb wasn't sure if there were echidnas in Middleton though.
It was just a hunch he had.
"I sure hope he's doing fine. He always comes back unharmed though." noted Phineas.
It made him very happy.
"Are you going to do something so I can bust you?" asked Candace.
She wanted to know already.
"Well, we'd probably want to get our friends first." noted Phineas.
Irving suddenly showed up.
"There's one now." spoke the boy.
"Hi there!" exclaimed Phineas's biggest fan, waving his hand at the brother duo.
"I don't get it…how can he be such a big fan of Phineas and Ferb?" asked Candace.
If you asked her Phineas and Ferb never behaved themselves.
Though it was admittedly admirable they had made so many friends.
Elsewhere…
"Want a selfie?" asked Atrosis.
"Sure, vhy not?" questioned Dementor.
Atrosis had a selfie with Professor Dementor.
The two of them both smiled for the picture.
There was a flash, and then the photo was taken.
"Can we get a selfie?" asked one of the minions. His name was Harold.
"I'd love to, but that's going to have to wait. I saw Drakken and Shego's hovercar in the picture." noted Atrosis.
"I knew zat they vould show up!" exclaimed Dementor.
That inducer was a source of conflict, it seemed.
"Mm-hmm. Luckily, I'm ready for them." said the stretchy supervillainess.
She clapped her hands and got the minions' attention.
"Get ready for a fight…though I think you can win against Drakken's minions." noted Atrosis. They took being evil more seriously than they did…though it was unlikely they could have robbed Fort Knox without her. She was the one that knew what she was doing.
The minions nodded. That seemed reasonable.
They didn't have the muscle rings, but they didn't really need them. Drakken's minions didn't have them this time either.
As for herself, she would take on Shego…though if Drakken's minions separated from the pack, she would target them.
And of course, she would change into her catsuit.
She enjoyed her bikini, but she preferred fighting while dressed like that.
She felt warmer that way.
Meanwhile…
On Earth, an evil alien was searching for an evil scientist. She had an enormous spaceship, but she decided to cloak it at the moment. It was pretty useful for approaching planets undetected.
"Well, here we are. I wonder why this planet has so much water. It looks like the opposite of Mars." noted Conquesta.
No point in letting her foe know in advance about her presence. It wasn't like Dr. Drakken where Warmonga wanted him to discover her.
Not a blue-skinned one, of course, but one with yellow skin. The Lorwardians weren't interested in The Great Blue at the moment, since it was a myth.
It was possible that the Great Blue was real though. Who knows?
"I know that Professor Dementor is secretive based on the hideouts he has, but I'll find him." said Conquesta. It seemed he had a lot of different hideouts throughout his supervillainy career though.
However, she had search droids for finding elusive prey.
So Dementor couldn't hide forever. Even if he was short in stature. It would help her that he had a tendency to laugh wickedly, that was for sure.
Typically she only needed a few to find the stealthy. Though there were aliens that could turn invisible.
So she picked three.
"Let's find us an evil scientist, shall we?" asked the alien.
The three search droids flew away from the spaceship and into the sky.
She let out an evil laugh.
And yes, even across outer space, there were still people that did that. Though in outer space there normally wasn't anyone to hear you laugh.
Dementor was in for a very rough time.
Even more so than when he fought Kim Possible. This time, there was more at stake than his lair blowing up.
Perhaps he should consider himself lucky that he did not encounter Kim as often as Drakken did…at least until Atrosis entered the picture.
I guess it's only a matter of time before Conquesta finds Dementor.
Will he survive?
I personally don't think he's worth killing.
But I might put him in a strait jacket every once in a while.
