Prologue: New challenge?
Liyue Harbor, Several months after the Rite of Parting.
After all of the unexpected event Rex Lapis sudden "death" in the Rite of Descending to the final conclusion in the Rite of Parting. The people of Liyue had to go through one difficulty after another…and the Qixing was no different. At first, they thought they could handle things quite easily but they were wrong…without their usual leader and his divine prediction (A/N: I think he uses his thousand years of knowledge to predict the future more than using some kind of magic) everything became harder even from the simplest thing.
Despite the hardship they had to go through, the city was slowly recovering and growing even much better than before. And Rex Lapis was glad that the people of Liyue from now on could standing and working very hard to build a new and more prosperous city on their own even without his help anymore…
But life isn't about working only, there're more than it looks…And this story will tell about one of them
Yujin Terrance
A certain long blue hair woman secretary with two horns brought a stack of paperwork to the Yuheng's office…
"Here is the document, lady Keqing" the woman gave her the paper.
"Thanks, Ganyu…ugh why there are so many requests recently" Keqing groaned, although she was a workaholic person but seeing those papers were still increasing overtime made her felt so tired sometimes.
"Perhaps Rex Lapis isn't with us anymore and they haven't gotten used to it yet so they need our help to guide them step by step I think" Ganyu replied
Ganyu was one of the adepti who used to be very closed to Rex Lapis understood about the hardship when he was no more but she still wanted to continue fulfilling her contract - one that she signed three thousand years ago with Rex Lapis. She had spent a lot of time as a secretary handling work like seven, a hundred, or even thousandfold of the normal people but her sense of responsibility has never wavered.
Until…
"Aren't these papers supposed for Ningguang, right?" Keqing reread the documents again and saw the name of the receivers were Ningguang.
"Really? Let me see it" Ganyu checked it and Keqing was right…"Sorry lady Keqing…I…I will bring the right one soon"
Noticing her weird action, Keqing began to wonder and asked Ganyu: "After you came back from Jueyun Karst…you're beginning to act not normal at all…Are you ok?"
"I..I'm fine" Ganyu tried to say back to Keqing but kept stuttering.
"Are you sure…? Because there's a rumor about a certain blond hair boy Traveler was with you too" Keqing teased her.
It wasn't too hard for Keqing to find out even Ganyu didn't want to talk about it since it was shown on Ganyu's face already…her face was beat red as tomato and trying to look away to avoid the gaze from Keqing.
"I…I…"
"That Traveler…" Keqing sighed "When you suddenly went to Jueyun Karst for trial at that time…he was so worried about you and asked everyone all over Yuehai Pavilion just to find where you had been to"
"Really?" Ganyu finally began to said…"He worries about me?" She thought
"Maybe you should go meet him again…"
After the meeting with the Traveler on that day in Jueyun Karst, thanks for his help, Ganyu found out that she wasn't alone in this world…despite of these few people with bad attitude like Xin Cheng…there's a lot of good people who's really care about her like the Nigguang, Keqing, Uncle Tian, Huixin and much more.
But he the way he cares for her was way different from them…it was something else and she couldn't describe what or how it was…it felt so warm…and made her heart raced…
"I…I will think about it, thank you lady Keqing" Ganyu went out the room…leaving Keqing alone in her office giggling at the secretary who was trying to find out that feeling Keqing told her was all about.
Ningguang's office
"Come in" Ningguang called after she heard someone was knocking the door and saw Ganyu with an unusual face and acting odds…"Are you sick? You don't look so good at the moment" she asked Ganyu…
"Am I…?" Ganyu checked herself in the mirror near the wall and found out that her face was still deep red like earlier…she really wanted to scream out loud now…
As always, she tried to avoid Ningguang's question "I…I…brough th…the docu..ment to you lady Nin…guang…"
Ningguang looked at Ganyu and didn't see anything on her hands "What document? I don't see you carry anything…"
Ganyu was freaked out and tried to look around, fearing she might have lost it somewhere then realized.
She still put them in Keqing's office…
Meanwhile Keqing looked at her table and still saw the stack of document was still here…Someone forgot to take these papers to Ningguang again.
"I…I…" Ganyu was confusing…she didn't know what was happening to her…this was not normal at all; it was so wrong.
Seeing Ganyu was in bad condition…and based on the recent event Ningguang already guessed the source of it…She knew Ganyu wouldn't be like this if there wasn't anything really serious happened to her
And it seemed like Ganyu was going to need some help.
"Hmmm…that's ok because you seem not very well at the moment…And you might be not noticed that you are started to act like this since you returned from Jueyun Karst, right?" Ningguang said while still smiling at her…
Ganyu only nodded.
"I heard you went missing for a whole day for an adepti's test…because you had a personal's trouble, right?" Nigguang asked again
Another nodding from Ganyu.
And then a final question from Ningguang "And I also heard a Traveler had helped you went through all of them right…"
"NO! HE DID NOT" Ganyu shrieked and gasped out…while her face was flushed with her eyes were about to cry…her emotional was conflicting with so many thoughts inside her head…She could work everything very well if they are about pure work but when it's not…she basically couldn't
Ningguang was chuckling for a while then gave her a letter: "By the way…The adepti sent me a letter and said I had to give it to you…He said it's very important and they need you to attend"
Ganyu open the letter and saw it was written by Xiao and told her to meet them at Juyeun Krast for another test for her…She read them a few times just to make sure that she didn't miss any word.
"That's weird…I've completed all of them how can I miss such a thing like that?" She thought.
"Well, what do you think? And they told me you must come as soon as possible"
"But what about our work…there's still lot of things to do and I just came back recently…" Ganyu said. Although she still had her own job to do but she still worries about the work here.
"You've already gone for a few days in the last time, haven't you?" Ningguang said, chuckling "And we could still able to handle it. Although it was much harder without you but it's not like the end of Liyue"
After being convinced by Ningguang, Ganyu agreed and decided to go there but she forgot that Ningguang was about to remind her that there was another person was also waiting in that place too…
"This is going to be interesting"…Ningguang grinned and went back to her work…
An hour later, Jueyun Krast, Top of the Mt. Hulao.
When Ganyu arrived, she saw Cloud Retainer, Moon Carver and Xiao were discussing something…and then she saw an unexpected blond hair boy Traveler was with them too…but they still hadn't noticed yet.
As Ganyu was moving closer to them…she heard they were talking about her and when she reached close enough, she saw Cloud Retainer was showing the Traveler a collection of pictures…of her when she was young.
"As you can see this is a little Ganyu in nature habitat" Cloud Retainer grinned while pointing the picture of young Ganyu was eating a Qixing flower and she looked like a little ball.
"NOOO! DON'T LOOK AT THEM!" Ganyu cried out desperately and trying to reach Cloud Retainer to get the album back as fast as she could but it had been too late.
And much worse, when Ganyu was about to grab it, Cloud Retainer retrieved the album right on time so she not only missed it but also lost balance and fell, rolling up a few times…
Cloud Retainer, Moon Carver tried not to laugh at her while only Xiao was looking away without saying…Ganyu after got up, feels embarrassed about the childhood memories she wanted to forget started to come back…
When she about to cry out, someone was going to her to check, his golden eyes were looking at her to see if there any wounds.
"Are you ok, Ganyu? Are you hurt" He asked, worrying…
Not sure if that helped her or not.
"I'm…I'm fine…" Ganyu looked away, hiding her flushed face…she really wants to run away from this place but she needs to find out why did the adepti called her…she slowly turned her heated face to the Traveler "What…are…you…doing here?"
"Well Moon Carved called me here…he said he needs our help" Aether answered
"Help?" Ganyu was clueless why did they needed his help for.
"There's another challenge for you…Ganyu…" Moon Carver said looking at her "You've done well in the previous test but we decided to make another one…this time it will be much difficult…"
"And that's…"
"In the last test, we saw that you still haven't been honest to yourself yet so that's why you will need to do another" Xiao said
"What!? Why do they think that way…It's because of the Traveler was with me in the last test so they're still doubting about the result?" Ganyu thought and shook her head a few times…then look at Aether every time when she saw him, she felt something that she couldn't understand what it was.
Ganyu asked Moon Carver: "So what do I need to do?"
"Nothing too complicated…" Moon Carver said and gave her two boxes and a letter "I want you to deliver these to my friend at this place and Madam Ping."
"Only these?" Ganyu surprised as she thought it was something harder…but she didn't want to ask them further.
"It might look easy but when you do it you will realize…" Cloud Retainer said and looked at Aether "One will guide the way for her…"
"Sure, consider it done…" Paimon was so excited "Let's go both of you…"
"Let's go Ganyu…" Aether called her and they started to go out…

P/s: I see many people like Aenyu so I decided to make one and it's also one of my favorites beside Aeqing. I wrote this like 2 weeks ago but I waited for today as my contribution for her birthday.
