Tails here, with this Fairy Tail and RWBY idea I've been thinking on, though it also has some Monster Hunter Elements sprinkled in. And no, I wasn't working on this the same time as Sky Devil, started it after finishing the first chapter of Sky Devil, but this has been on my mind for a while, so it just didn't give me any problems.
I do not Own RWBY, Fairy Tail or Monster Hunter, they belong to Rooster Teeth, Hiro Mashima, and Capcom.

We see two people leaning against a tree and looking over a large but quaint two-story log cabin, they're both wearing a gray bodysuit, and black boots. One is a very beautiful woman with long bronze hair and gold eyes, and a moderate chest, with a large bow on her back, the other is a man with spiky black hair and cyan eyes, with two slim blades on his back, and the last things of interest is they both have pointed ears, very delicate features, and are both very slim. The Woman sighs, looking at the house. "Brother, is this truly the only way to save this world, taking two children from their families, and taking them to another world?" The woman asks.
"Sis, you and I have both seen the future of this world, if we don't do this, and take solace in the fact at-least you get to stay and help raise her, while I have to take the boy and leave him to be raised by the biggest monster in either world, until he's sent to get stronger on his own, the only solace I have about that, is in the fact the boy is too pure to become anything like him." The man says, and she sighs.
"Sometimes being the Realm Guardians is horrible." She says.
"Yes, but at-least this time we're saving two worlds, instead of helping in their destruction, like the last time, we were called into action." He says, as he disappears, and the woman sighs, as she disappears, and reappears inside a room of the cabin, looking at a 3 year old girl with black hair with red tips.
"I'm sorry about this little one, but at-least you will live a wonderful life of adventure and love." She says picking the toddler up, and disappearing, she then appears outside of a cave, when she hears loud growling, she takes a few minutes to look out over the land being on the side of a mountain, and sees they're on a giant island, she then takes a deep breath and walks into the cave, after about twenty minutes she steps into a massive cavern.
"Who dares have the bravery to step into my home!?" A loud voice echoes throughout the cavern, startling the toddler awake, allowing us to see her silver eyes, who when seeing someone unfamiliar to her and an unfamiliar place starts to cry.
"Oh dear, it's alright little one, there's no reason to cry." She says. (Outside of the fact we're meeting with the strongest and most dangerous Dragon in this world.) She thinks.
"A child?! Who would think to bring a child into my presence?!" The voice booms throughout the cavern, making the woman sigh, and continue forward, trying to calm the toddler down. After a few more minutes she walks into a destroyed castle, hidden deep in the cavern, and she stiffens, as a large glowing gold eye appears in front of her, when it pulls back, she can see the beast the eye is attached to, a Dragon that has a long serpentine neck and tail, gigantic muscular wings, it has pitch-black scales, outside the pale scales of its underbelly, on its head is four backwards facing horns, and despite its size it's forelimbs are surprisingly thin. Between the two of them, the beast is the only one who notices the toddler quiet down, but not in fear, the girl actually looks at him in interest. He then looks at the woman holding the toddler. (An Elf, I thought they were slaughtered to extinction.) The beast thinks, then smells a unique scent from the woman. "A Realm Guardian, what are you doing here, and with a human child no less." He says.
Sigh* "As an Elder Being of this World, Lord Fatalis, you know the jobs of a Realm Guardian, either ensuring the survival of a world, or their destruction. My brother and I are to assure the survival of this world, and the one this little one and another child is from, My name is Siora Faelar, and I'm to help raise this child, while you teach her Dragon Slayer Magic." Siora says, head bowed, and Fatalis growls.
"Why should I, I could care less about this world or anything in it." Fatalis growls, and Siora sighs.
"We know, that's why the Realm Master has created a reality for you to go to after your part is done, the only things in the world are regular animals, no magical creatures, other dragons, and especially no humans." She says, and Fatalis looks at her in interest at that offer, and then looks at the girl, who's still looking at him in interest.
(This Child has a very powerful life-force, and she's not scared at all, which is a feat all it's own, since even Acnologia, Zeref, and those so called Dragon Gods wouldn't dare draw my ire, let alone come anywhere near my domain.) Fatalis thinks, and after 40 minutes, he speaks. "How long would I have to train her?" He asks.
"4 years, her care would be up to me, while her training would be up to you." Siora says, and after another 10 minutes, he grunts.
"Fine, but this better be worth my time, but this child hasn't looked at me in fear the whole time, that does have my interest." He says.
"Thank you, Lord Fatalis, then say hello to your new Daughter Ruby Rose." She says, when Fatalis growls.
"Don't push it, Guardian, this deal is just in my best interest to get away from the pathetic humans of this world!" He snarls, but they're both surprised when Ruby giggles.
(Well that's good, little Ruby, oddly enough, seems to like Fatalis. *Sigh* since it's X775, it's two years before the Dragon Slayers appear from the past.) She thinks.
"And the other child?" Fatalis asks.
"What?" Siora asks.
"This other child, I'm guessing, is with another Guardian." He says.
Sigh* "The other child is 5 years old, his name is Jaune Arc, and my brother, Castien Faelar, is taking him to… Acnologia." She says, actually shocking Fatalis.
"Is your master out of his mind?" He asks.
"You'd be surprised; it's been a while since your last altercation with Acnologia, right now he just wants a challenge and who better than one of your own making." She says, and he just grunts.

We see Siora with her bronze hair now in a pony-tail; she is now wearing a hooded gray bodysuit with a cut-out showing a bit of cleavage under a black, leather overbust corset, black leather bracers and boots, on her back is a large black bow, seemingly made out of black scales. She's staring at an area of rubble, outside of the mostly destroyed castle, and heavily scorched as well. Looking after a 6 year old Ruby, she's wearing a black shirt with a red rose on it, red shorts, and black shoes, she's panting in exhaustion, but she jumps and her right leg is surrounded in pitch black fire. "Black Flame Dragon's Claw!" Ruby yells, landing a kick on a wall turning it to rubble and cracking several feet of ground, she then rushes at a large boulder, her fist engulfed in black flames. "Black Flame Dragon's Iron Fist!" She yells, shattering it to pieces, then she falls down, breathing in exhaustion, when she hears clapping, and she smiles looking at Siora, who she rushes to. "Mama!" Ruby yells, and we can also clearly see sharp canine teeth, hugging her.
"Darling, that was amazing." Siora says, smiling, when they hear a grunt.
"Not bad squirt, even before Acnologia wiped out most Dragons and Dragon Slayers, and humans were being taught Dragon Slayer Magic for the Dragon wars, 400 years ago, I never heard of anyone using Dragon Slayer Magic this proficiently, so young, let alone the thought of my own flames, take a good long break, later I'm going to teach you how to Roar." Fatalis says.
"Alright Dad." Ruby says, and he grunts laying down to nap.
"Alright, before you nap, do you want to go hunting with me?" Siora asks, and Ruby smiles.
"Yep, I'll go grab my bow." Ruby says, running into a reconstructed tower.
(I need to teach her Requip Magic.) Siora thinks, and after a few minutes Ruby runs back with Siora's old bow on her back, which is pearly white, with intricate floral designs carved into it, and oddly the bowstring is a bright blue that's practically glowing.
"Let's go, I'm hungry." Ruby says, running off and making Siora shake her head smiling, but she follows after her, once she gets outside she sees Ruby sniffing around.
"Do you smell anything honey?" Siora asks, and Ruby sniffs a little more.
"North of us…, I think are two Wyverns, probably a Rathian and Rathalos or some variant, south of us…, is a… Arzuros, I think." Ruby says, sniffing intermittently. "East of us…, is a group of, that can't be right." She says, looking at Siora.
"What?" Siora asks.
"It smells, almost like a grouping of Anjanath, but that can't be, they don't group up like that." Ruby says, slightly confused.
"Unless it's a territory dispute." Siora says.
"Oh yeah, that's probably it." Ruby says.
"Hmm, and those two are brave yet stupid, to be nesting even that close to Fatalis, the south side of the island is the furthest from Fatalis." Siora says. "Think you have enough in the tank to help deal with them?" She asks, smiling.
"If I don't right now, I will after the fight starts, they are Fire Wyverns, and I can eat any fire, Dad says I can even eat the flames from a Fire God and Fire God Slayer." Ruby says.
"And?" Siora says.
"What… oh right, the Rathalos has poisoned talons, while the Rathian has poisoned spines on her tail, which I should avoid being hit by, even if I can burn the poison away." Ruby says.
"Right, and since we're near the north end of the island it shouldn't take too long to get there and back." Siora says, as they rush toward the north side of the island, after 10 minutes they are overlooking a cliff side. They see two Wyverns, the first one is 55 feet long; its scales are red, its underside is a pale color; there are black markings across its body. The other is 57 feet long; its scales are a muted green, while its underside is also a pale color. "Now Ruby, can you tell me which is which?" She whispers.
"The red one is male, the Rathalos, and the green one is the female, the Rathian." Ruby says.
"Good, now let's go, just like I showed you." Siora says, as they both take their bows off their back, and they jump off the cliff.
"Asteroid Arrows!" They both yell, forming a large arrow out of green magic, which makes a burst of air when loosed from the Bows, half-way to the Wyverns they each break into 10, which rip into the wings, causing them to roar in pain. Ruby lands in front of the Rathian, it lunges at her trying to bite her. She jumps back dodging the bite making it roar in anger.
"Is that the best you got, you overgrown lizard!" Ruby yells. (I know Mom told me the Rathian and Rathalos are more sentient then most of the creatures on the Island, but I don't know if they're sentient enough to understand insults.) She thinks, but is surprised when it growls in anger. (They do.) She thinks, as it lurches back, and she can see the glowing of fire in its throat, it then roars releasing a massive gout of flame at her engulfing her, and it roars in triumph when it hears slurping, it looks and sees the flames, instead of dissipating, being funneled to a single point, when all the fire is funneled into Ruby's mouth, and she wipes her mouth. "Thanks for the meal." She says, smiling, and it looks at her in shock. "Black Flame Dragon's Claw!" She yells, jumping at the Rathian and kicks it in the head, launching it back, bleeding; she then lunges towards it completely engulfed in black flames. "Black Flame Dragon's Guillotine!" She yells, head-butting it in the chest, causing a massive spurt of blood, she then jumps back, with the bow in her hand. "Comet Arrow!" She yells, releasing a thin, green arrow, with a massive burst of air pressure, hitting it in the center of the chest, and the Rathian falls limp.
"Good job honey." Siora says from behind, and Ruby looks and sees the Rathalos already dead. "Most of the monsters on this island, give or take the very few herbivores, would be between high A-Class and high S-Class, and both the Rathian and Rathalos are low S, what you just did is a feat even a group of S-Class Mages with years of experience, would have trouble with." She says, smiling proudly, making Ruby smile happy, and using Wind Magic, Siora cuts the feet off the Rathalos and the tail off the Rathian and stores them away using Requip.
"Let's get them back home!" Ruby yells starting to drag the Rathian away, making Siora giggle, and store both corpses away. After 15 minutes, they're halfway back to the cave, when Ruby spots a large white egg, with yellow flame-like markings on it. "What creature does this egg belong to, Mom?" She asks, and Siora's eyes widen.
"That Dear, is an Exceed Egg, they are sentient cat looking beings, from Earthland's counterpart, Edolas, they're also capable of using Magic." Siora says, picking the egg up, and they continue back home. A few hours later, Ruby wakes up to see Fatalis waiting for her, she also sees the egg beside her.
"Hey Dad!" Ruby yells.
"Pipsqueak, come here." Fatalis says, and Ruby walks over to the chasm he's looking over. "Now, look at the wall of the chasm, focus on your magic while breathing in, expel it when you feel a good pool of Magic in your chest." He orders, and she nods, and after 7 minutes spits out a small gout of pitch black flames.
"Was that right Dad?" Ruby asks.
"Yes, now do that until you go to sleep." He orders, and she nods doing that for the rest of the day, and each time the gout gets bigger and bigger, until she goes to sleep, the next day Ruby wakes up and does her exercises, and later the two of them are back at the chasm. This time, before releasing the flames, use the incantation." He orders, and she nods.
"Black Flame Dragon's Roar!" Ruby yells, after a few minutes, and a black Magic Circle with a dragon head in the center appears in front of her, and instead of a gout, a full on explosion erupts out of the Magic Circle towards the wall, creating a giant crater, as what's hit turns into molten rock, sliding into the chasm.
"Good, squirt, now the next time you fight one of those wannabe dragons, you can show them what a real Roar looks like." Fatalis says.
"You bet I will, Dad!" Ruby yells, when she hears Siora clapping.
"Good job Dear, now it's lunch time." Siora says, and Ruby nods', running into the tower, Siora then releases a sigh.
"What's wrong, Elf?" He asks.
"It's coming up quick you know." She says, and he grunts.
"You mean how my time teaching her is coming to an end, in a year." He says.
"Yes, do you care?" She asks.
"What?" He asks.
"Cause she adores you, and she doesn't remember anything from before, her blood father and sister, and had I never brought her here, she would've grown up without a mother." She says, when she finds a claw against her head.
"Calm yourself Elf…, … …you've been a good mother, and back when you first came to me, it was just a means to an end, to get away from the humans of this world, but now… *sigh* I don't know how I feel." He says, then growls. "I just know that upstart Igneel would be laughing at me, if he saw me right now." He growls out, making Siora giggle.
(I guess he does care.) Siora thinks, when they hear the movement of feet, they look and see Ruby running towards them with the egg, which is cracked.
"Mom, Dad, I think the eggs hatching!" Ruby yells, when she gets there, she sets the egg down, and after a few more minutes, the egg shatters apart and they see a small cat with yellow fur, outside the ears with the left being black with a white tip and the right being white with a black tip, and red eyes.
"So what are you going to name her?" Siora asks.
"Her?" Ruby asks.
"Yes, her, dear." Siora says kindly, and Ruby picks the Exceed up, she looks up.
"Yang." Ruby says, shocking Siora.
"Why that name, dear?" Siora asks.
"Well, her ears remind me of the Yin and Yang symbol." Ruby says.
"Why not Yin then?" The Exceed asks, shocking Ruby and Fatalis. "Hello." She says.
"Oh, well, Yin seems more like a boy name, and Yang as a name just seems important to me." Ruby says, and Siora smiles.
(So, she doesn't remember the person, but she does remember the feelings tied to the name.) Siora thinks and Ruby holding Yang, and Siora head into the tower for lunch.

We find all of them outside the cave, even Fatalis, who's looking at a crying Ruby, and Yang, who's wearing a white shirt with a design of a black dragon on it, blue shorts and black sandals, is glaring at Fatalis, while holding Ruby's hand and Siora is looking at her sadly. "Ruby, we tried to tell you, I just wanted you to be ready for this day." Siora says.
"I, I know, I j-just hoped." Ruby says, and wings appear on Yang's back, she flies up and hugs her, and after Yang gets back on the ground, Fatalis lurches forward and nuzzles her.
"Ruby, I'm not good at this sort of thing, never thought I'd need to be, but stand proud, you are Ruby Rose, Daughter of the Black Flame Dragon Fatalis, the oldest and strongest living Dragon, as well as the oldest living being in Earthland. *Sigh* Our time might be over, for now, that doesn't mean it has to be the last time, as a Realm Guardian Siora and her brother can probably get into the world I'll be going to, and it's not like Siora's leaving you. Now Siora and I have two gifts for you." Fatalis says, lurching back, and Siora walk towards her and bends down requipping a Wakizashi, the handle and Sheathe are blackish red, she takes it in hand and unsheathes it, seeing a pitch black blade.
"The blade is forged from a scale from Fatalis, like my bow is, it also has a few enchantments on it, one being that it'll be teleported back to you, if it gets too far away, the second is it's capable of utilizing any form of any Dragon Slayer Magic if you trust another Dragon Slayer, to wield it." Siora says, and in a glow a large black scroll appears in Fatalis's hand.
"And this is a scroll, with spells I have and haven't taught you." Fatalis says, handing the scroll to her, which disappears in a glow showing she's learned Requip, and Ruby sheathes the Wakizashi and jumps into Siora's arms.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you both!" Ruby mutters, tearing up.
"Shh, it's alright dear; everything's going to be alright." Siora says, and 30 minutes later Ruby pulls back.
"Thank you for being my Dad, so bye for now." Ruby says, still in tears, and Siora nods at Fatalis, and grabs Ruby's shoulder and picks up Yang, they disappear and appear nearby a town. She put's Yang down, and lets go of Ruby, and they walk into the town with Ruby holding Yang and the Wakizashi, now strapped at the small of her back.
"Welcome to Oshibana town." Siora says, as they walk to a store.
"So what are, we going to do now, mom?" Yang asks,
"We'll be heading north, for now to start training Ruby to use the Wakizashi, also I've heard bit's about a Guild in that area, I'm thinking about us joining, with training, it will take several days to get there." Siora explains, and both Ruby and Yang nod. After 5 days, we see Ruby and Siora are walking along a path, with Ruby holding Yang in her arms, Ruby then stops.
"Mom, I hear fighting up ahead." Ruby says, running forward, and Siora runs after her, they run up onto a small tribal looking settlement, being attacked by a group of bandits, Ruby zeroes in on a couple of bandits trying to catch a girl the same age as her, she has short blue hair and brown eyes, wearing a white blouse, blue shorts and sandals, and a white Exceed wearing a pink dress, who both fall. In an enraged burst of black flames, Ruby appears between the girl, Exceed and the bandits. "Get away from them!" She yells angry.
"Oh, and what are you going to do about it, little thing?" One of the bandits teases.
"This, Black Flame Dragon's Iron Fist!" She yells, planting an engulfed fist into the bandit's stomach, launching him back, bowling over several other bandits. "Black Flame Dragon's Claw!" She yells, kicking an engulfed leg, at the other bandit launching them and bowling over more bandits.
"Chain Arrows!" Siora yells, jumping high in the air, hitting every bandit with an arrow, chaining them so they can't move, and she lands back on the ground, Ruby turns around to the girl and Exceed, holding a hand out, as Yang jumps out from between her other arm, walking over to the other Exceed.
"Are you two alright?" Ruby asks, and the girl takes her hand.
"Yes, thanks to you three." The girl says.
"Don't mention it, but considering your second scent, I'm sure you could've handled it." Ruby says, smiling, and the girls eyes flick down for a second.
"My second scent?" She says, confused, but then she sniffs. "Oh right, you just used Dragon Slayer Magic, oh, my names Wendy Marvell, I'm the Sky Dragon Slayer, and this is Carla!" She says, ecstatic.
"My name is Ruby Rose; I'm the Black Flame Dragon Slayer, and this is Yang." Ruby says, confusing Wendy.
"I never heard of Black Flame Dragons." Wendy says.
"I'd be surprised if you did, since there's only one, and he's the oldest living being in Earthland, and hates being anywhere near humans, other than me, and lived on a giant uninhabited island that is infested with the most dangerous monsters in the world." Ruby says, shocking Wendy and the people who have come out and have been talking to Siora.
"And you grew up there?!" Wendy asks shocked.
"Yeah, but the less sentient monsters wouldn't come near me because of sharing my father's scent, and when I wasn't in the Cavern, my Mom was with me, so If I did run into the monsters that would still try to attack me, she was there to help me." Ruby says.
"Were you raised by two Dragons?" Wendy asks.
"No, only my Dad was a Dragon, my Mom is right there." Ruby says, pointing at Siora, who now walks up.
"Hello there, young one, my name is Siora Faelar." Siora says, smiling at Wendy.
"Hello, ma'am." Wendy says, and a small and slim elderly man walks up. "Oh, hello Master Roubaul." Wendy says.
"Hello, Wendy, and you three, thank you for your intervention, and for saving Wendy and Carla." Roubaul says.
"No problem, old man." Ruby says.
"Ruby, manners." Siora says.
"Oh right, sorry sir, what are you going to do about them?" Ruby asks, and Roubaul chuckles.
"It's fine young one, since I saw that you're a Dragon Slayer, and you said you weren't raised near civilization, manners probably weren't something you had to deal with, and I've already sent word to the Rune Knights." He says.
"Since young Wendy called you Master, am I to assume this is Guild I've heard about?" Siora asks, surprising many of them.
"You've heard about our Guild, that's odd, since while we are a Guild, most would assume we're just a village of traders, outside of Wendy who helps around Oshibana town every so often." He says. "Anyway, why were you asking?" He asks.
"Well, we just left the Island, Ruby grew up on. And I'm looking for a small community to integrate into, mostly for Ruby, who's only had me and a Dragon for company for 4 years, and Yang for 1." Siora says.
"Hmm, I guess we can accommodate you three, but can I speak to you privately?" Roubaul asks, and Siora follows him towards the main tent. Two days later, we see Ruby in a clearing filled with boulders and a bunch of charred spots all over, We see her and Yang looking over the scroll, when she sniffs the air.
"Do you need something, Wendy, Carla?" Ruby asks, looking up at them.
"What are you doing child?" Carla asks
"I've been training, though I'm currently overlooking this scroll my father gave me, it has all the spells he had and hadn't taught me. Specifically I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. *Sigh* This was never difficult when Dad was teaching me." Ruby says sitting down against a boulder, tearing up a bit.
"He must've been a good dad, if you're still this sad 2 years after his disappearance." Wendy says, and like Ruby we can clearly see sharp canine teeth now, sitting down beside her, but confusing Ruby.
"2 Years ago, disappearance, he was only allowed to train me for 4 years, we just left him a week ago." Ruby says, surprising her.
"Oh, I, I thought you were dealing with the same thing I was." Wendy says.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asks.
"Well, 2 years ago I went to sleep and when I woke up, my Mama, Grandeeney, was gone." Wendy says, looking down, sad.
"I assume, Grandeeney, is your Dragon Parent, my Dad's name is Fatalis." Ruby says, and Wendy nods. "How battle oriented are you, I noticed the other night when we met, and I said that I was sure you could've dealt with those bandits, you looked away." Ruby says, and Wendy sighs.
"Grandeeney was soft on me, she only taught me to use my magic to heal, and a few other support spells." Wendy says,
"Oh…" Ruby says. "…How about I teach you?" She asks, after a short pause.
"What?" Wendy asks.
"Well, my Dad told me, that outside of a handful of spells unique to different Dragon Slayers, the majority of spells Dragon slayers use are the exact same, just the element is different, but word of warning, I won't go easy on you." Ruby says, smiling at Wendy, Carla is about to say something.
"I'd like that, I want to get stronger, I want to live up to our title as Dragon Slayers, people capable of fighting the strongest beasts out there." Wendy says with conviction, and smiling back.
"Do you want to start now?" Ruby asks.
"But, what about your training?" Wendy asks.
"I just need to take some time, away from the scroll right now, so let's start simple for now, with the Iron Fist." Ruby says, as the scroll glows and disappears, and they both get up.

"You called Master?" Ruby asks, as Wendy, Carla, Yang and her, are standing in front of Roubaul. Ruby's hair is relatively the same, on her left shoulder is a red cat icon, she's wearing a black kimono jacket altered to have no sleeves and a hood attached, a red rose on the back, between the shoulder blades tied by a red obi, black, knee-length tights, a pair of red fingerless gloves, and red and black kung-fu shoes, strapped to the small of her back is the Wakizashi. While Wendy now has long, dark blue hair up in pigtails, kept in place by two red clips, on her right shoulder is a blue cat icon, she's wearing a sleeveless, blue qipao-style blouse with yellow trim and fastenings, dark blue pants, and blue shoes. Carla is wearing a yellow and pink frilly dress. Yang is wearing a black, sleeveless 'midriff' shirt, camo pants and boots.
"Yes, the Guild has been called on, to help take down a Dark Guild." Roubaul says, and Ruby smiles in the face of a possible challenge.
"You said 'help' to take down a Dark Guild; does that mean we're going to be working with another Guild?" Wendy asks; a little tense and Roubaul sighs.
"The Guild Masters, of Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Fairy Tail and myself, have decided to send representatives to take down the Dark Guild, Oracion Seis." He says, shocking them.
"But Oracion Seis is a member of the Balam Alliance; they're one of three strongest Dark Guilds in Fiore!" Carla yells.
"I know that Carla, I'd rather not send the four of you, but Siora is on an S-Class job, and I can't afford to sit this out." He says.
"What do you mean Master?" Wendy asks.
Sigh* "The Oracion Seis is after a terrible weapon, from my families past, it's the reason why the Guild was started in this location in the first place. To watch over this weapon, for as long as we have to or until it's destroyed." He says.
"Does that mean it's nearby?" Yang asks.
"It's sealed away in the Worth Woodsea." He says.
"Which we're situated right beside." Ruby says, now thinking deeply.
