Years after Yuki tells Souhei her secret, the two of them end up welcoming two of their own children into the world. Now, Souhei has an important question to ask about their babies. (One-Shot/Headcanon).

"Ame, do you like this boy?" Hana treated the question with a seriousness that was rarely seen from her countenance. This is a story in which Souhei makes Ame question further where he really belongs. Is he meant to be a wolf, after all?

I've had a number of people on other sites who have expressed interest in reading my work, but I don't like to link my Wolf Children fanfiction to people who haven't seen the movie. Well, I decided that since it's nearly impossible to find the movie online, I would write up a full on synopsis of it for those who can't watch it or want a refresher of the plot.

A girl with a strange ability and a boy who is half-beast, they come from two realities that couldn't be more different. However, as diverse as they were, they understood each other best. Silently, effortlessly, like holding your hand out to help someone, it's easy to change someone's world.

What if the roles were reversed? What if Hana was the half-human and animal hybrid... a bear perhaps? What if Ookami was the student she meet and fell in love with by mistake? Several years have passed. All grown up, Ame aches for a companion to live his life with like his sister and now husband, Souhei. Yuki comes back home after a few years to visit with her mother and new husband. She unexpectedly runs into Ame and finds that her feelings for him have changed rapidly as he was someone that she did not know anymore. He shows her that she does not have to live as humans do and how to live fully without compromise. What will become of them? Warning: Incest. Do not read if dislike.

Ame has been living in the forest for three years and is now 16. He loves his life in the forest, but he is lonely after years of isolation... until he meets her.

Ever since the faithful day that Ame ran away, Yuki's life hasn't been exactly the same. But, she persevered and moved on. Now, seventeen years later, with a family of her own Yuki still remembers and honors her little brother, and while her memories of him aren't all sunshine and rainbows, she wouldn't trade her time with him for the world. Yuki always felt a little close to Souhei, after they'd patched things up for her hurting this ear, but finding out that he knows about her deepest secret only encouraged that. Now several years later, it reaches it's peak during winter, when Souhei speaks of their mutual feelings. YukiXSouhei, Rated T.
