The premise of this story is that this is set in an amalgamation of the Arkham-verse also with the CW shows and DC media in general. The summary is: What if the Arkham-verse Batman lost the Bat Family to the Joker through different methods.

After getting an assignment to take pictures of the Batman from J. Jonah Jameson, Peter Parker who is known as the Amazing Spider-Man heads to Gotham City and helps the caped crusader take the Joker to Arkham Asylum.
