After joining the Ministry of Ancient Sorcerous Empire Countermeasures, or also known by its other names, the Ancient Ministry, or MOASEC, our protagonist, Ment—I mean, Meteos Roguerider, was offered a job that does not require him straining his body and mind as an engineer but required to adhere to a strict work shift from 9 o'clock in the morning to 12 o'clock in the afternoon. By this appointment alone, Meteos is able to reap millions of zollarks per month. However, Meteos, being the stubborn reincarnator that he is, concluded that these money is far from enough for him to fund his projects to improve the Holy Milishial Empire.
Therefore, he decided to write a book chronicling his previous life. Meteos is not good with dialogue, but at least he can write something though it will not be on par with literatures such as, say, Un Coup de Foudre novel that he bought recently. After ordering a magical typewriter to be sent to his apartment room, Meteos now divided his schedule to work, planning, cooking, doing chores, writing, and resting.
One month later, the draft was submitted to a certain publication company and was about to be published as a novel called "Summoning Japan" under the pseudonym "M.M", a fantasy-genre novel telling the story of a fictional archipelago nation called "Japan" which suddenly appeared northeast of Rodenius Continent in the year 1639 Central Calendar. The country, which was suddenly blown from their home world, diplomatically works hard to survive and maintain a semblance of peace, as well as influencing the world's politics with their presence.
...
The story begins with a wyvern named Maarpatima from the Qua-Toyne Principality on the Rodenius Continent who discovers a mysterious flying object that invades his country's airspace. The "thing," which is a flying machine, fly at a speed and altitude so high that wyverns cannot intercept it. This flying object is later revealed to be a patrol plane from the titular nation of the novel, Japan, that was suddenly blown into this world from a fictional planet called "Earth." Having relying on imports, Japan was starving, in dire need of food.
Later, after concluding diplomatic relations with Qua-Toyne and its neighboring country, the Quila Kingdom, Japan is able to solve its food shortage. However, at that time, the Louria Kingdom, which in the novel managed to unify the western part of Rodenius, declared a genocidal war on Qua-Toyne and Quila to exterminate the demi-humans. With their food source threatened, Japan agreed to join the war after Qua-Toyne request military assistance from them.
Here the readers are shown how the Louria Kingdom is defeated by a myriad of Japan's advanced technology and war machines that utterly crushed the Lourians, turning back their invasion that culminated in the pacification of Louria's capital, Jin-Hark, and the capture of the Lourian king in the novel, Hark Louria XXXIV.
The novel also tells the story of the revival of the Demon King Nosgorath as it invaded from the Grameus Continent to the north and how Japan is able to defeat the Demon King, ending the threat once and for all.
Next, the Third Civilization power, the Parpaldia Empire, is presented at the antagonist of the novel. After Parpaldia attacked the small island country to the east, the Fenn Kingdom, when Japan is trying to establish diplomatic relations with them, their invasion fleet is sunk by Japan who tried to defend itself. This incident dashed Japan's hopes to establish a peaceful relationship with Parpaldia as the empire despises Japan as a weak barbarian nation in the east.
Further events occurred as the Parpaldia Empire then invaded Altaras Kingdom to its south and launched a second invasion on the Fenn Kingdom in order to destroy them. After the Parpaldia Empire captured the town of Nishinomiyako in Fenn, they proceeded to search and capture as many as 200 tourists from Japan by order from Remille, a member of the Parpaldian imperial family.
Remille, who aimed to make an example of anyone who tried to defy the empire, ordered these captured tourists to be executed. However, all it does is invoke the wrath of the Japanese government, who then declared war on Parpaldia Empire. Even though Parpaldia is far stronger and more advanced than Louria, just like before, Japan is able to win against the superpower in a one-sided war. The war ended after the repeated loss of Parpaldia caused a string of uprisings on its conquered territories and the overthrowing of the government by the Third Foreign Affairs Department, Kaios, leading to the empire surrendering to Japan.
With this, the Parpaldia suffered a catastrophic damage and an economic crisis, leading the world's strongest nation, the Holy Milishial Empire, to declare that the Parpaldia Empire will no longer be recognized as a superpower, conceding the title to Japan. This will mean that Japan will replace Parpaldia's place as the one that will attend the Eleven Countries Leadership Conference in the year 1642 Central Calendar.
It is at the next arc that the third antagonist of the novel is revealed: the Gra Valkas Empire, another fictional nation that was summoned from a world different from Japan's to this world, had destroyed Leifor, which by the time of the novel's events, is reduced to the weakest of the five superpower countries of the world. As they are invited to fill the vacant seat caused by Leifor's destruction in the World Conference, the Gra Valkas Empire suddenly declared war on the entire world. And in the ensuing attack, destroyed the Holy Milishial Empire's strongest Zeroth Magic Fleet and the venue of the World Conference, Cartalpas.
In retaliation, the Holy Milishial Empire established the World Union, an international military coalition comprised of nations that oppose the Gra Valkas Empire, and assembled a massive fleet in an attempt to dislodge them from the Second Civilization, as well as to avenge the humiliation of the Eleven Countries Leadership Conference. Meanwhile, the Gra Valkas Empire, deployed its Eastern Fleet to intercept the World Union. Despite being outnumbered, their high-performance weapons and superior tactics managed to overwhelm the World Union in what is called the Battle of Baltica.
Just as everyone think it will be the repeat of Cartalpas, a pair of superweapons made by the Ancient Sorcerous Empire makes their appearance. Dubbed the aerial battleship Pal Chimera, these fearsome weapons initially gained an upper hand against the Gra Valkas Empire's forces. However, a lucky shot by the Gra Valkas Empire's strongest battleship brought one of the superweapons down and forcing the other to retreat. Finally, the two sides, which were equally damaged by each other's attack, finally faced off in a decisive fleet battle.
However, despite the battle itself is a a stalemate, it ended in a victory for the Gra Valkas Empire, who manages to maintain control of the sea west of the Second Civilization, as well as showing the world the power of the Gra Valkas Empire. As the next story arc begins to unfold, Japan, which was sitting out of the Battle of Baltica, finally moves to protect its distant ally in the Mu Continent as the Gra Valkas Empire prepares for a land invasion of Mu.
"..."
Robin, an agent of the Holy Milishial Empire's Ancient Arms Analysis Tactical Operations Department, the secretive organization in charge of operating the Ancient Sorcerous Empire's large-scale weapons, stared with a confused disbelief as she reads her copy of the Summoning Japan novel given to her by Meteos, one of her apprentices.
As one of Meteos' closest friends, Robin was given a copy for her before anyone else, and she was very happy to receive it.
The tale of a nation summoned from another world is... interesting, to say the least. Robin can see that it seems that Meteos combined several myths to create this story, where the protagonist nation is the descendant of a rather obscure legend, the Messengers of the Sun God, who was summoned to this world by the gods in order to fight the Ancient Sorcerous Empire using the means similar to Mu's creation myth, the Great Continental Transference.
However, after seeing the story arcs revolves around war, war, and war one after another gets tiring really quick. She liked the technology showcase, showing the kid is creative not only in inventing things but in writing as well. But she never expected someone as benign as Meteos likes to write scenes of people killing people. It would've been better if he at least writes something other than that, such as daily life and some other stuff.
Approaching the 'New World War Arc,' Robin frowned for a moment. Does her apprentice really write the Holy Milishial Empire, his own country, losing? All the Milishian people are proud of their own country, it was unthinkable that anyone would depict the August Star of Heaven to be matched toe to toe, even less losing, against someone. Against Japan she can understand, he established the protagonist country as a super-advanced civilization maybe on par with the Ancient Sorcerous Empire, but against the Gra Valkas Empire, a slightly more advanced version of Mu?
This novel is such a headscratcher. She couldn't read Meteos' intentions.
The moment she laid her eyes on the passage that depicts the Holy Milishial Empire's ancient superweapon in the novel, Robin did a double take.
Pal Chimera, a ring-shaped flying battleship supported by three rhombus-shaped protrusions from the central bridge. Equipped with six anti-gravity engines and capable of reaching speeds up to 200 km/h, armed with 6 powerful magic cannon turrets and a devastating bomb called Jibil, and was operated by the Ancient Arms Analysis Tactical Operations Department who wear masks to keep their identity secret.
It has to be a very specific coincidence, right? Robin wanted to believe so, after all, his apprentice can be so creative at times.
However, Robin did notice several slipups from the silver-haired boy. In addition, how can someone so young made something so exactly the same to Ancient Sorcerous Empire's technologies not only in concept but appearance without seeing it? And there's this. Whether he knew it or not, Meteos had successfully guessed one of the Holy Milishial Empire's secret superweapons from its name to its specifications and even its weakness.
Meteos is the very definition of the word 'suspicious.'
Although Robin don't want to believe it, she has a duty as an agent. Immediately she stood up from the chair and retreated to her room. She then picked up a specialized manacom used by members of her department.
"This is Flamberge, I have something urgent to report."
Only one day after Robin made her report, the Ancient Arms Analysis Tactical Operations Department moved to detain the person of interest who turned out to be a possible leaker of classified technology. However, just before they began their move, Emperor Milishial VIII himself intervened and told the secret police to refrain from doing any action that might hurt the boy. Instead, Meteos Roguerider was to be invited for an audience with the Emperor one week from now. Although the concerned parties were confused, they obeyed his words and made the preparations.
And thus, one week later, Robin found herself standing on the audience room along with her fellow agents, wearing a hooded cloak and covering her face with a blank mask with only narrow slits for the eyes. The agents were flanking the magnificent throne where Emperor Milishial VIII was sitting, staring sternly at the kneeling young man with the silver hair.
After a moment of silence, Emperor Milishial VIII began to speak.
"Meteos Roguerider, son of Roderick. I have heard your name mentioned by my ministers several times, so young, but achieved so many greatness. Through your ideas, this nation's level of education and technological capabilities in so many fields have been dramatically improved. Even though you tried repeatedly to downplay yourself, it is undeniable that these breakthroughs cannot be achieved without your contribution. For that, we have nothing but praise for you."
As he continues to speak, the Emperor never lose his serious expression, and this intense feeling that Robin felt ever since she entered the throne room only become even stronger.
"However, that is not the reason why we have summoned you here."
The Emperor gestured to his left and the only dragonfolk in the room stepped forward. It was Alesthre, the Royal Diviner of Emor Kingdom, a country of dragon people north of the empire. As Emperor Milishial VIII gestured him to speak, the towering man nodded and opened his mouth.
"Recently, at the request of His Majesty, the Emperor of Milishial and approved by His Majesty, the Dragon King of Emor, we conducted a divination of space. However, we were unable to get a proper reading because the vision was greatly distorted. But we were able to track the source of the distortion and in fact, it originated from you."
The Emperor then took over Diviner Alesthre's explanation, "The other day, the Hidden Ones have acquired a rather curious literature written by someone called M.M., and upon further investigation we have learned that the author is actually you, son of Roderick," he said, producing a copy of the novel written by Meteos from under his robes.
"Summoning Japan... some in my inner circles called it an insult, some called it a critique of the nation's decadence and complacency, but regardless, I am intrigued by the contents of this book, for it feels prophetic. If you are trying to tell us something, well, you have succeeded, because you now have my undivided attention. Now, Meteos Roguerider, raise your head and answer my question... who are you really?"
Meteos slowly raised his head and met the Emperor's gaze. However, Robin can't see any trace of fear and nervousness within those deep blue eyes. Instead, the strange boy merely gave a serene smile and said...
"Your Majesty, do you believe in reincarnation?"

What if…
Meteos is Minmin!?
Currently Available Author's Notes:
Basically this is a remake of the Omake I wrote in the Chapter 3 of my other story, JARS, with the premise of what if the reincarnated Meteos really write Summoning Japan?
On the other hand, this story is the place where I will dump random ideas (mostly one-shots unless stated otherwise) that come to my head, but will not included in the main story, no matter how weird, no matter how absurd, no matter how cringe. Besides, I cringe, therefore I am.
