Five years ago
The old Arcadia Empire, which has exerted a tyrannical rule for several centuries; has been overthrown with a coup d'état.
A kingdom is in turmoil as a castle is on fire and is under raid by knights riding mechanical armored machines called Drag-Ride wielded by Drag Knights.
The citizens were screaming and running away in panic as there was nothing but a war of chaos at the burning castle.
All of this was possible because of a mysterious individual who caused the fall of an entire empire.
The Unknown Black Drag Knight; the Black Hero.
Numerous Drag Knights of the Arcadia Empire were flying in the air before they all exploded when a black blur with red glowing lines flew pass them one by one.
Those who witness the fall of the Arcadia Empire firsthand could only see a large black shadow with crimson red eyes, and a blood-stained sword from the Black Hero who dominated and destroyed the empire in a single night.
The Arcadia Drag Knights were in the air before they were face to face with the Black Hero whose shadowed silhouette is unleashing a blackish crimson red aura that took form of a black blazing dragon with glowing red eyes that roared at the knights.
No one knows who he is nor where is he from, all they know is that the Black Hero is an individual of great and fearful power.
Destruction lay waste upon the Arcadia Empire as the Black Hero hovers in the air while the Arcadia Drag Knights fell dead at his hands. The unknown Drag Knight soon flew away as he left a glowing trail of red and black.
This is the story of the Black Hero; the Demonic Dragon Knight.
The Hero who disappeared and was never to be seen again.
At the present day, in the now newly reformed Atismata kingdom during the night.
A young white haired teenage man is seen running on building's rooftops in chasing a cat.
This young man is Lux Arcadia; the former prince of the fallen Arcadia Empire. He's a young teenager with silver hair and grey eyes; wears a simple looking attire of a white shirt, brown short sleeved jacket, fingerless gloves, brown jeans, and long laced boots, he also wears black collar around his neck and a belt that has two swords attached and stored on.
Lux gave chase at the cat as he cornered it to the edge of a building's roof.
"come on…give me the purse." Said Lux as he quietly yet slowly approached the cornered animal. "be a good kitty and give back what you stole, alright?"
The cat meowed while growling a bit as Lux keeps on approaching the feline.
"just be a good cat and.." Lux spoke out before he lunges straight for the cat. "give that back!"
The cat meowed in surprise as it let go of the purse it stole and jumped away, giving the item back to Lux to take but because of how he just lunged in to grab the small item; he hits the roof which he didn't realize was glass and it broke because of his weight.
"aaahh!" Lux screams as he went falling straight to a bathhouse and straight into a pool of warm water where he made a very big splash in.
Lux got out of the water as he coughs a few times before he sees where he is.
"a bathhouse?" Lux muttered out as he glanced side to side but couldn't see anything because of the steam that is just blocking his vision. "this place is…"
"hey…" an annoyed voice called out from below Lux who looks down and is soon wide eyes because he is on top of a naked blonde haired with red eyes girl. "do you have anything left to say before you die, pervert?"
"a-ah….um…" Lux muttered out before he sees the steam blowing away to reveal dozens of naked young girls in the bathhouse who are looking at him with wide and shocked eyes. He then looks back at the girl below him and smiled awkwardly. "i-I'm very sorry?"
The blonde girl smirks while her right eyebrow twitches.
"LIKE HELL I'M FORGIVING YOU, YOU DAMN PERVERT!" she screamed out in fury.
"I'M SO SORRY!" Lux cried out in a pure apologetic tone before he ran with the purse in his possession.
"come back here, you pervert~!" the blonde girl screamed angrily at Lux who shields his eyes while running pass many naked girls who screamed.
"i-it's a misunderstanding! I'm just trying to!" Lux exclaimed as he holds the purse close without realizing he is holding it upside down and the content which were a pair of white laced women underwear came spilling out. "ah.."
The naked girls saw them, and Lux instantly felt like he had screwed up big time.
"UNDERWEAR THIEF!" "the guards! Someone call them!" "get your swords! Legitimate self-defense is approved!" the women shouted out angrily as they threw anything in the bath at Lux who runs for the doorway.
"I'M SORRY~!" Lux cried out.
Lux began to run in the building as he is getting chased by dozens of angry girls.
"HOW DID IT COME TO THIS!?" Lux exclaimed as he just runs for an exit but soon gets caught and given the beating of his life by the many angry girls.
On the next day; Lux is now found in a prison cell while cuffed and chained to the wall.
"so this is my punishment, huh?" said Lux with a crying face before he sees someone coming. "u-um! I'm really sorry for barging into your property, but I'm innocent! I was just trying to return a friend's purse stolen by a cat and then!"
Lux looks at the person coming to his prison cell as a young blue haired girl wearing a student uniform came standing by the doorway.
"as much as I want to hear your excuse, I'm only here to make sure that the pervert who came to out school is still in his cell." the girl said to the imprisoned young man as she walks towards a table near the prison cell which has all of Lux's belongings placed upon, including his two swords. "but I also came because I heard that the one who intruded out bathhouse is a young man who has two Sword Devices. That's rare for anyone to have, right?"
"w-well…I guess so." Lux replied with an awkward smile before he shakes his head and leans a bit forward. "b-but please listen, I really am innocent! I didn't mean to just drop right into the bathhouse where your friends were at!"
"you can give your excuses when you meet the school's principal." The girl replied as she picked up the two Sword Devices that Lux has, one is blue and white while the other is black and red. "you have a Wyvern and…" her eyes became curious and keen at the black Sword Device. "this one is…"
"ah…that.." Lux spoke out before two more girls came into the scene.
"hey, Krulcifer. What is taking you so long with the prisoner?" one of the girls asked the blue haired girl now named as Krulcifer. "the principal wants to talk and settle this problem now, you know?"
"ah, right." She replied before placing down the two Sword Devices to the table. "sorry, I was too interested in his possessions."
Lux let out a small relieved sigh as he was soon brought out of his prison cell and his possessions were returned to him.
'I guess I have to be grateful that I made a lot of connection over the years.' Lux thought as he followed the girls who are leading him in the hallway of a building. 'still, can't believe that cat brought me straight here. The fort city 'Crossfield', Royal Officer academy.'
With a change of scene; Lux is now standing in an office room of the academy's principal who is a long pink haired woman who wears a uniform similar to what Krulcifer wore but with some different visual like a senior level. her name is Relie Aingram and she's the academy Principal.
"I'm really sorry about my girls, Lux-kun." the pink haired woman spoke with a small smile. "they are very offensive against boys since this is an all girls' school."
"y-yes…I notice, Relie-san." Lux replied as he stands before the Principal of the school while being given a shower of murderous glares by many girls who are surrounding him.
"so then!" Relie clapped her hands once. "let's just say that this little affair was an unfortunate accident, okay?"
"eh!? Just that!?" "an unfortunate accident, she says…" "how can a pervert go off free!?" the girls began complain but Relie claps her hands a few times to get them to quiet down.
"I won't accept it!" someone shouted as everyone turns to the back because the blonde girl who Lux had fallen upon during his crash into the bath, is standing way behind everyone. "I won't accept it, principal!"
"my, Lisharte-san. what can't you accept?" Relie asked while tilting her head a bit to the side.
The blonde girl is Lisharte Atismata, the first Princess of the Atismata Kingdom.
"everything!" the girl exclaimed as she walked through everyone and then slammed her hands upon the Principal's table. "I cannot accept your judgement!" she then turns and pointed a finger at Lux. "this pervert should be confined in our prison for thousands of years! Then he can be set free!"
'I would be dead by a hundred years…' Lux thought while sweatdropping.
"innocent until proven guilty." Relie spoke out in a calm voice while smiling. "isn't that the new kingdom's policy, Lisharte-san?"
"t-that!" Lisharte looks at the principal as she frowns before looking down. "y-yes…it is."
"then you know that you cannot just punish someone unconditionally." Relie stated as she nodded before looking at Lux. "for starters, Lux-kun here is an old acquaintance of mine since the times of the old empire and I can very much vouch he is innocent because of his non-gutsy nature." She then giggles a bit. "this young man will just run away whenever it is something that is indecent and embarrassing."
"still!" Lisharte exclaimed but Relie paid no mind to her.
"so then, Lux-kun." Relie spoke out while handing a paper out. "here is the details of the work you need to do here."
"wait what!? work?!" Lisharte exclaimed as she looks at Lux taking the paper. "what work!?"
"Remember my announcement from a few days back?" Relie asked while folding her hands on the table. "the one where I told everyone in the academy that we will hire someone who will help in the maintenance of the Drag-Rides?"
"You mean that he's!?" Lisharte looks shocked as she faces Relie for a moment and then to Lux. "he's the person who you are going to hire!? Him?! why!?"
"well for starters….." Relie replied while leaning back against her seat. "he's knowledgeable about the designs of every Drag-knights that is known and found, and maintenance of the Drag-knights is a very dirty work that comes with danger." She then tilts her head while waving a hand to the side. "a job like that isn't something that is to be given to young ladies from noble families, right? That's why we hired him."
"But he's a guy!" Lisharte exclaimed. "And the academy is only for girls!" she then turns and points a finger very close to Lux's face. "To allow this perverted boy to work at this school is unthinkable!"
"my, this is getting nowhere…" Relie sighs tiredly before she looks at Lux. "how about this? How about a duel between Lux-kun here and you Lisharte-san?"
"eh!?" Lux exclaimed in surprise. "why?!"
"if we keep going at this, I will have to deal with a lot of complaints…" Relie replied while looking annoyed and tired before she smiles while clapping her hands once. "so, to end it all peacefully. A duel is the only way to solve it!"
"the only way to solve it, you say…" Lux spoke before he sighs while looking down. "even if it's a solution, I just can't…"
"why not?" Relie asked while tilting her head to the side. "I mean, you have two swords hanging from your waist that aren't decorations, right?"
"w-well…" Lux spoke before Lisharte got close to his face. "too close!"
"listen, Lux Arcadia! You will have a duel with me!" Lisharte exclaimed. "if you are defeated by me, you will be taken to prison as criminal. But if you win, I will consent and forget this matter and your punishment!"
"but i…" Lux muttered out as he wanted to reject the duel but he just looks down and sighs tiredly. "There is no other way, huh?"
"so you accept?" Lisharte asked with a smirk on her face.
"yes, I accept your challenge." Said Lux before his expression became calm yet a bit dark at the same time. "but you must keep your word, Lisharte-sama."
"I always keep my word." Lisharte stated while feeling a bit off from seeing the sudden expression change. 'it's like…he became serious.'
"may I have three days to be given for preparation?" Lux stated while looking at Relia. "I have a few business that I have to attend to and won't be able to participate in the challenge until I finish them all."
"very well." Relie replied with a smile. "be careful on your way out."
"yes" Lux nodded before he did a quick head bow to Lisharte and then left towards the door while walking through an opened path that the girls made.
Lux left as everyone looks a bit baffled from how the air around him just changed.
"what's with him?" Lisharte whispers. "it was like…he changed personality or something."
"well, I guess he does when it comes to a fight." Relie spoke out as Lisharte looks at her. "Lux-kun is…the Weakest Undefeated, you know?"
"The Weakest Undefeated?" Lisharte muttered before she looks a bit surprised. "the one who always participate in the Drag Knight battle and has never been defeated? That Weakest Undefeated?!"
"yes" Relie nods as her smile grows even more. "he's someone who is very much undefeated in any battle."
Lisharte looks at her school principal for a moment before she begins to ponder on if Lux really is the so called Weakest Undefeated.
Somewhere in the part of the school.
Lux is awkwardly smiling while looking pale and nervous as he is face to face with a young girl with light grey hair and grey eyes who is just giving him the deadliest glare that is possible in the world.
This young girl is Airi Arcadia, Lux's younger sister who is an enrolled student in the school.
"a Peeping Tom….Underwear Thief….and possibly a criminal…" Airi spoke out as she glares at Lux who is cowering in fear before she close her eyes and sighs then turns away. "I can't believe that my own brother would go and become such a lowlife."
"w-wait! This is a misunderstanding!" Lux cries out. "there was a cat that stole the purse and then…!"
As Lux tries to explain his innocence to Airi, the younger sister listens and just sighs when she hears how it all happened.
"please think of my position in the school." Airi muttered while frowning as she then looks sternly at her brother. "our contract for amnesty is that one should work to repay the debt while the other should live in a place where the Kingdom's eyes can reach." She turns and pouts a bit. "if you get arrested, I will be punished, you know! how can I repay the debt all by myself!?"
"i-I know!" Lux replied with his hands raised in defense. "but I promise that I won't get arrested or anything! I just have to win the duel! That's all!"
"duel?" Airi turns to look at her brother while showing a confused expression on her face.
Lux gives the explanation of the duel to Airi who sighs while face palming.
"the Principal and her way of thinking…." Airia shakes her head and then sighs. "well, it is the logical method to end conflict permanently." She turns back to her brother. "but can you actually win the duel? She's Lisharte Atismata, the first princess of the new Atismata Kingdom, you know?"
"I know." Lux nods as he looks to the front and his expression becomes a bit serious. "even at the town, I heard of her achievements." He imagines Lisharte who is surrounded by the unconscious bodies of other students who had their swords drawn. "Lisharte Atismata; the Scarlet Princess. A Drag-Knight who has achieved great feats in her duels against many students in the school. She has the record of being undefeated."
"she possess the greatest of strengths that gave her a worthy title." Airi spoke before she frowns and looks at Lux. "Nii-san, perhaps it may be best that you.."
"I can win, Airi." Lux stated as he patted Airi's head while smiling. "to ensure that my little sister live a normal school life and graduate peacefully. This big brother of yours will do his best."
Airi looks at Lux for a moment before she smiles and nodded.
"I'll be cheering for you, Nii-san." Airi spoke as Lux nods back.
"I'll be going for now." Lux stated. "I have some business to attend to at the town and I'll come back when it's time for the duel."
"just make sure that you remember and don't run away." Airi replied with a knowing face to Lux who just chuckles awkwardly.
"i-I know, Airi." Lux spoke before he waves a hand in goodbye. "I'll be going now!"
Lux runs off and leaves Airi behind, the gray haired girl watches her brother leave before she sighs with a small smile.
'an endless conflict is the fate for the Arcadia Family, is it?' Airi thought as Lux walks towards the front gate of the school, the young man gets his shadow grown by the sunlight above but his shadow grew and became a demonic form that morphs into a dragon like shape with a glowing red eye.
A few days later, at the arena field near the school's border.
The students of the Academy filled the spectator's seats as they were all chattering and cheering for the upcoming duel between Lux and Lisharte.
"without a further ado, the duel between the New Kingdom's First Princess; Lisharte Atismata versus the Old Arcadia Empire's former seventh prince; Lux Arcadia will begin in a few seconds. Participants are to come and stand upon the field."
Everyone started to get excited as many anticipated that the battle will end in their kingdom's princess victory and not Lux's.
The former Arcadia Prince is at a tunnel as he is wearing a Black, White, and Red mix Drag Knight's suit that is essential for one who pilots Drag-Ride. Lux prepped himself while adjusting his belt with the holster for his two Sword Devices.
"what a large number…" Lux whispers after hearing the cheering from the crowd. "must be the entire school itself…" he sighs and shakes his head. "just like the battle arena at the kingdom's Drag Knight battle…"
Afterwards, Lux walks to the arena field as Lisharte is already standing and is facing the young man.
"for you to not run for a duel." Lisharte spoke with a smirk. "I admit that part of you is admirable in a way, former prince." She then tilts her head to the side. "hey, I want to ask you this question of mine." she place a hand to the top handle of her red Sword Device. "do you know the reason why this duel is held for you and me?"
"is it… because I'm the former prince?" Lux asks as Lisharte looks at him for a moment before she scoffs a bit and smirks even more.
"I'll give you the answer if you defeat me." Lisharte stated as Lux notices the look of anger that are showing in her eyes.
'I don't know why, but I'm guessing that there is a connection of her existence and the old Empire.' Lux thought while having his eyes closed. 'it's true that what my family did those years ago is truly tyrant like but the past remains as a scar of pain to many, huh?' he opens his eyes and looks at Lisharte once again. 'well, all that I can do is to work hard to repay the debt for the amnesty.'
"Energy Shield deployed! Both participants prepare your Sword Device for Connection!"
A horn rang as Lux glance to the side to see an energy barrier surrounding the arena field by the Protector Drag-Knights; senior students whose task is to oversee the duel and protect the spectators from any possible harm.
"Lisharte-sama, may I ask of you one thing before we duel?" Lux asks while drawing out his White Sword Device from its scabbard.
"what? are you going to ask that you spare your life?" Lisharte replied with a smirk before she chuckles. "well, I am feeling a bit merciful and…"
"if this match ends in a draw, may everything be forgotten and forgiven?" Lux spoke as Lisharte looks surprised for a moment before she went silent with a dead on stare at the young man.
"it must be nice to be able to say that so carefree, huh?" Lisharte spoke before she smirks while her Sword Device began to glow a red light. "if you can say it after being aware of my true identity, then it's still good!"
Lux shields his eyes a bit as Lisharte's Sword Device shines the red light that flashes brightly.
"Awaken! Founding Ancestor! King of the Dragon Gods that is almighty!" Lisharte chanted as her body gets enveloped in the red light that took form of a large red blazing dragon that roars loudly. "Tiamat!"
Lux has his eyes closed before he slowly opens his eyes and became surprised when she sees Lisha now riding on an exoskeleton hi-tech armor.
"a Divine Drag Ride armor…" Lux whispers. "what a rare sight.."
"amazed?" Lisharte asks with a smirk, she pilots her armor that moves accordingly to her will. "this is a rare Drag-Ride in its existence to the world! There's only one of its kind and it can only be piloted by suitable warriors such as myself!"
"I am amazed, but still…" Lux spoke before he wields his white Sword Device with both hands and its blade shines a blue light. "Come forth, Branded Wing Dragon which is the symbol of power. Obey my Sword and Fly!" the light shines before taking form of a blue winged dragon that envelops its large wings around the young man. "Wyvern!"
Lux now rides on his own Drag-Ride mech but his seems to be a standard looking Drag Ride that pales in its appearance to Lisharte's Tiamat.
"just a Wyvern?" the blonde princess looks at Lux's Drag-Ride as she smirks. "this match will end in just a flash!"
"Both participants armed and ready! Let the Duel begin!"
"first come first serves!" Lisha exclaimed as her Drag-Ride ignites its thrusters and let itself soar into the air. Her weapon reaches out its mechanical right arm to the side and wields a large beam gun rifle that appears via magic circle. The gun was then pointed at Lux. "eat this!"
"instantly with a big attack!?" Lux exclaimed as he sees the weapon charging energy before it fires a powerful red beam shot at him. "the charge is way too strong!"
Lux instantly flies away as Lisharte fires her first shot that causes a burning explosion to the place he was before.
The crowd begin to cheer as Lisharte's Tiamat began to rapid fire energy beams at Lux who flies around in the air to dodge it all.
"come on! What's wrong!? Can't fight back?!" Lisharte exclaimed as she grins while firing her weapon's beam gun at Lux who barely dodged one shot. "if you can't dodge it, how can you counterattack, huh!?"
Lux flies around as he keeps on dodging the beam attacks before he gets hit by something hard from the back.
"wha!?" Lux looks at what hit him, and it was some sort of arrow shaped auto mobilized units that comes in seven numbers which surrounds him. "t-this is!?"
"Airborne Fortress." Lisharte spoke. "One of Tiamat's special armaments that are powerful projectiles with destructive propulsive power." She grins as she points her gun at Lux while her Airborne Fortress spreads out and comes in a circular formation around Lux. "have a taste of this special treatment of mine!"
"you can't be serious!" Lux cries out as he begins to fly around to dodge the incoming attacks that could do more than injure or knock him out.
At the crowd, the spectators chatter as they watch the battle on going before their very eyes.
"don't you think Lisha-sama is overdoing it?" a student named Tillfur Lilmit asked with a slightly frazzled smile.
"yes, Airi's Big brother could be in serious trouble at this point of the battle." Another student by the name of Noct Leaflet pointed out while looking a bit emotionless like a doll.
"perhaps this match will end with minor injuries?" another student near the first two spoke as she is Shalice Baltshift, she watches the battle and see how skillfully Lux dodges the attacks from Lisharte's Tiamat and her Airborne Fortress. "that Lux Arcadia is skilled and he's beginning to see how our princess attacks in her usual strategy. This match might come to a draw sooner or later."
Lux flies and dodges Lisharte's attack as that is the only thing that he has been doing ever since the duel started.
'if I can make this linger even longer, I can win the match in a draw…' Lux though as he slides across the field before flying up to the sky, Lisharte's Airborne Fortress flying after him. 'but it is very hard to try and shake those off!'
Lux flies upwards to the sky as he plans to go high and try to shake off the flying units but was thwarted by the appearance of Lisharte who appears before him.
"you must be thinking to win by making the time run out, right?" Lisharte spoke as she smirks at Lux who seems surprised. She pulls back her right fist as she swings it forward, her Drag-Ride mimicking her movement that proceeds in landing a big powerful punch at her foe. "don't get ahead of yourself!"
"gaah!" Lux falls as he crashed to the field in a big dust explosion.
The crowd went awe in cheers as they see Lux struggling to get back up while Lisharte hovers and descends. The First Princess having a smirk to her foe.
"had enough?" Lisharte asks Lux. "I don't mind you just surrendering right now? It'll save your life after all."
"i-if I wanted to surrender…" Lux grunted as he slowly gets his Wyvern to arise back to its feet. "I would've done so in the first place."
"is that so?" Lisharte replied before chuckling as she then tilts her head to the side. "Lux Arcadia, I suggest that you use your other Sword Device." She points a finger at Lux or rather to the Black Sword Device on his back that remains sheathed. "your armor is torn off, it is better you switch your Wyvern for something else." She waves her hand to the side. "I don't know what kind of Drag-Ride it would be, but it should be far better than the one you have on right now, right?" she smiles while raising her Tiamat's gun to the shoulder. "go on. I look forward to see what kind of Drag-ride it would be."
Lux looks at Lisharte for a moment before he glances at the Black Sword Device on his back. he stares at the object before he looks back at his opponent while smiling apologetically.
"i-I'm sorry, Lisharte-sama. I can't." Lux spoke out. "I have some circumstances that forbid me from using this sword in this duel. I'm really sorry."
His words made Lisharte go silence with a dead stare to Lux as she just close her eyes for a moment.
"and here I thought that you were a fool.." Lisharte whispers before she snaps her eyes open while glaring angrily at Lux. "you were actually a bigger fool!"
"w-wha!? What!?" Lux cried out in confusion as he sees Lisharte drawing out her sword device from her side, her Drag Ride moving its gun up and to a large magic circle that burns in red fire.
"reveal your true nature, Tiamat!" Lisharte shouted as the barrel of her beam gun transformed and switched with one that has seven holes that made it look like a gatling machine. "Seventh Heads!"
"y-you're using its Special Armament in this duel!?" Lux cries out in surprise. "t-the power behind that attack can kill me!"
"then so be it!" Lisharte shouted as she aims her gun at Lux and the barrel spins before releasing a rain of red energy beams.
The crowd goes wild as many now see Lux fleeing from the incoming energy beams that relentlessly came down upon him.
"is she crazy!?" Tilfur exclaims in shock. "I know she is angry at the kid for peeping but using Tiamat's special equipment in a duel is overkill!"
"yes, the danger that arises for Lux Arcadia has increased exponentially" Noct added in while nodding.
"this match is to much." Shalice stated with a stern look on her face. She then looks at her friends. "let's go and tell the teachers to stop this match. This is way too much!"
"there is no need." Airi spoke out as she is with the group and is just watching the duel. "my brother will be fine."
"are you serious, Airi-san?" Noct asked the gray haired girl. "this match if prolonged will deal consequently big injuries to your brother. Will that be alright?"
"yes." Airi nods before she smiles a bit. "but I know my brother will be alright because…" she tensed her gaze a bit to see Lux just spinning in the air while descending fast to dodge Tiamat's Airborne Fortress that nearly hit him. "once he has decided on something, he'll absolutely go through with it."
Lisharte gritted her teeth in frustration as she watches how Lux evades every single one of her attacks by flying on his damaged Wyvern with such ease.
'how can he move like that!? His Wyvern is nothing compared to my Tiamat and yet why!?' Lisharte's eyes widen when she sees Lux flying up and let her Airborne Fotress come and hit themselves against each other. 'why can't I see his defeat!?'
Lisharte then looks at the timer of the match as it was coming down to the last 3 minutes.
"if this keeps up, the match will end in a draw like he wanted it to be.." Lisharte spoke before she focuses her attention back to Lux. "like hell I'll let that happen!" she grabs her sword and slowly draws it out of her scabbard then raise the blade to the sky where a large and more majestic looking magic circle appear. "have a taste of my Tiamat's Divine Punishment!"
"ah! she's going to use it!" Tirfull exclaimed as many others look in surprise to see what Lisharte is doing.

"Eh?" Lux looks in surprise before he suddenly gets forced to crash on the field by a powerful downed force. "aggh!"
The young man's crash erupts a geyser of dust to blow out as the crowd screams in surprise.
"Divine…" Airi spoke while shielding her eyes from the dust. "a special ability that only the Divine Drag Rides have." She looks up and towards Lisharte whose Drag Ride is surrounded by its Airborne Fortress. "and for Tiamat, it's Divine Power is its control over gravity." She frowns. "but for her to use it while maintaining her special equipment is just too dangerous."
"now…it's time…" Lisharte huffs her breathing as she looks down at Lux whose Wyvern is malfunctioning after receiving the powerful gravity push to the ground. Her Tiamat readies its gun and aims it right at the downed Drag-Knight. "to end this!"
Lux grunted in pain as he sees Lisharte charging energy into her gun that has its barrel glowing red. He believed that she would fire and finish him off, but he was proven wrong when he sees something behind her.
"look out! behind you!" Lux shouted as Lisharte looks confused and turns only to get a powerful black claw strike from out of nowhere.
Lisharte crashes to a part of the arena in a big dust explosion as she grunted in pain.
"w-what was?" Lisharte looks at what had hit her and to her surprise it is a large gargoyle like monster that is 6-7 feet tall, has razor sharp claws and talons, large black wings, and a menacing red glare. "a-an Abyss!?"
"h-how did an Abyss get in here!?" Tirfull exclaimed in surprise as many students in the crowd began to scream in fear and run in panic.
"there's not only just one!" Shalice shouted as she pointed to the sky and towards a tower pedestal where one of the Drag-Knights maintaining the field's barrier, was taken down by another gargoyle monster similar with the first one.
"why are the Abyss, monsters of the Ruins be here!?" Airi spoke out in surprise.
"let us evacuate with the others, Airi-san." Noct told the girl as Shalice and Tirfull are already instructing the panicking students to evacuate with the teachers. "the situation is now very dangerous."
"just why are two Abyss Monsters even here!?" Lisharte exclaimed before she gasps when the two Gargoyle Monsters jump and flew straight for her. "wha!?"
Both monsters growled and roar at Lisharte who didn't have time to react quickly as she was quickly saved by Lux who unleashed a charge beam shot from a rifle that materialized into his Wyvern's grasp.
Lux throws the weapon away before he dashes in and quickly rams the Gargoyles together to send them flying away.
"y-you!?" Lisharte spoke out in surprise as she sees Lux now standing before her while facing to where the Gargoyles are, both monsters have crashed into a wall and are getting back up.
"Lisharte-sama, please move back." Lux stated as he faces the Gargoyles that come out and began to growl at him. "I shall take them on."
"w-what!? are you crazy?! You can't win against two Abyss Monsters with a worn out Wyvern!" Lisharte exclaimed. "just go back and wait for the teachers and senior students to come and help us!"
"I will tell you this once, Lisharte-sama." Lux spoke out as he glances back at Lisharte and showed her his eyes that had become black and his cornea became reptilian slitted red. "I shall handle them."
"ah!" Lisharte gasps in surprise to see the eyes as it was not because she was shocked from how Lux had such eyes but it was because she had seen them before. "t-those eyes are.."
Flashback
5 years ago, during the Coup of the Arcadia Empire that is falling in flames.
Lisharte is in the falling castle as she looks worn out beyond words. The young blonde girl hugging a red Sword Device before she hears explosions coming from outside.
The young girl goes and checks what made the explosions as she sees Arcadia Drag-Knights just getting taken down by a blackish red blur that zooms around on the field like a lightning bolt.
Lisharte watches the blackish red blur as it flies near where she is. The young girl felt time had slowed down as she sees that it was the Black Hero whose eyes glows red yet showed a reptilian like gaze upon her. time began to move normally as the black drag knight flew off leaving the young girl in awe.
Flashback
"your eyes…are just like…" Lisharte spoke out as Lux looks at her before he turns and faces the Gargoyles while his Wyvern disappears into blueish white sparkles.
Lux sheathes the White Sword Device before her draws out the Black one. He held the weapon upwards and its dark blade shines sharply before showing the reflection of a dark being with red eyes within it. the young man closes his eyes as he extends his hold on his sword while tracing a hand over its blade that has red swirling lines appearing all over its blade.
"Manifest. The Devourer of the Gods and the Bringer of Death. Bring Terror to those who oppose you!" Lux opens his eyes that are demonic and draconic at the same time while glowing bright. "Reveal yourself, Dragon of Death!" the young man raise his sword and is soon enveloped in a darkish red energy that burns like fire while taking the form of a large and almighty looking black dragon with demonic eyes. "Bahamut!"
Lisharte shields her eyes as the burning black dragon flaps its wings and shrouds Lux who gets enveloped in a very bright reddish black light.
The Gargoyles growls and looks at the light before they see the silhouette of a tall armored and winged figure who stands in the place of Lux. The figure slowly lifts its head and a pair of blackish red eyes flashes.
Both Abyss Monsters growls before they roar at the figure who suddenly disappears and reappears before them while pulling back a jet black sword that was swung straight at the monsters.
ZWORSH!
A spray of blood came from the two Gargoyles as their heads were instantly lopped off their bodies that soon falls and explodes into black dust.
Time passes as the day is gone with the duel being resulted in a draw because of the Abyss Monsters that suddenly came barging in.
In one of the Academy's many hallways, Lux is found wearing his former attire as he is walking towards somewhere when he stops because of hearing loud footsteps from behind.
Lux turns as he sees Lisharte appearing while looking out of breath.
"What is it, Lisharte-sama?" Lux asks while turning around to face the blonde princess. "if this is regarding about the result of the duel, then you must go straight to the principal to request.."
"you! You're the Black Hero!?" Lisharte exclaimed loudly as this made Lux shut up. "answer me! why are you the Black Hero?!" she points a finger at the young man before she swings a hand to the side. "You're the Prince of the old Arcadia Empire and yet you're the one who cause it to collapse!? Why!?"
Lux goes silent for a moment as he turns and looks the other way.
"I have my own circumstances, Lisharte-sama." Lux spoke as he glances back at Lisharte. "I have very complexing circumstances." He then smiles at her. "also, can you keep my identity as the Black Hero a secret? It'll be troubling if words get out about it."
"hey! I am asking you about why you're the Black Hero and yet you're worried about this whole secret stuff!?" Lisharte exclaimed as she takes a few steps forward and got face to face with Lux. "tell me! why!?"
"Lisharte-sama, please step back from me." Lux spoke out as his eyes suddenly turned demonic once again. "I cannot hold responsibility what will happen if you cross the line."
"ah!?" Lisharte unconsciously moves away from Lux whose demonic eyes glows before reverting to his human eyes when he blinked.
"I cannot tell you why I am the Black Hero who destroyed the Arcadia Empire, I can only tell you that I am an ally to the new Atismata Kingdom." Lux spoke as he turns around and faces the other way. "I have many circumstances that compels me from telling you about it." he then glances back at Lisharte. "also, do remember that I am Lux Arcadia, the new student of the academy. I am not the Black Hero, alright?"
Lisharte looks at Lux a bit dumbfounded as Lux just smiles a bit before he turns and walks away.
After a few feet away from Lux, Lisharte began to think about the young man.
'those eyes of his…' Lisharte thought to Lux's demonic eyes that were just imprinted into her mind. 'they may be vile looking but….they look sad for some reason.'
Meanwhile, Lux who is already out of sight from Lisharte. The young man walks into the hallway as he just walks with silence.
'those Abyss Monsters have escaped the Ruins near this kingdom. Something had lured them out for a reason.' Lux thought to the two gargoyle monsters that interfered in his duel against Lisharte. 'someone must be trying to destroy the Atismata Kingdom by attacking Lisharte, the princess."
"seems that your former Empire has people who wish to revive it."
A dark voice spoke to Lux who turns and now finds himself standing in a dark realm and facing a large being shrouded in black flames where at one point; a pair of sharp glowing red demonic eyes appear.
"do you believe that to be true, Bahamut?" Lux asks as the black flames burst before revealing a large demonic black dragon that is nearly 30 feet tall in height and 50 feet long in length. The beast looking down at Lux while on all four of its legs and claws.
"the malice that is left by your people during the day of their destruction lingers like poison in water." Bahamut spoke as the black dragon's demonic eyes were squinted a bit. "the longer the poison lingers, the stronger the inflicted has their vengeance to grow."
"so this means a prominent member of the old Arcadia Empire's nobles might be involved." Lux spoke as he cups his chin for a moment before he turns around and returns to the hallway where he was before. "but it won't matter." His eyes turns demonic while the young man walks to a corner and his body gets shrouded in black flames that suddenly shrouds his entire being before he became a fit and tall teenager who looks to be 18 years old and wears a black overcoat with a white and red uniform like attire underneath. "I will dispose them all."
Lux walks away as he just threads his path with no destination in mind.
