Okay people, welcome to my first FanFiction, first HALO/Mass Effect crossover. Story will take place after human-covenant war, in year 2570, ME will be pre-Mass Effect age. I must warn you that i don't know much about both universes, but i will learn something about them, if you find something wrong about HALO or ME, inform me in comments or PM and i will do my best to fix it. I decided to write in english (i am from Czech Republic) to make it easier to read, but my english is not good at all. Again, if you find some gramatic mistakes, inform me about it, i will control the text but i could happen that i would miss something, i would be happy. Critics and tips are welcomed, but no hate comments, trolls will be imediately ignored and it must be to the topic. HALO and Mass Effect franchises goes to it's original owners, I DO NOT OWN THEM!!! Chapter 1 - Beginings
…Prolog…
Human-Covenant war ends with UNSC victory, with help from Elites and it left UNSC navy decimated. It was one of the most worst wars in human history, with a lot of death people, destroyed infrastructure, colonies, marines, soldiers and families with childs. After war, UEG and UNSC immediately began with rebuilding it's navy and colonies, like Reach and other colonies. There were also financial problems due to heavily damaged economy, so they stoped with rebuilding outer colonies and focused on the colonies, that survived war and some important inner colonies, plus some harvest colonies like Harvest and other ones to provide stable food suply and avoid famine. After few years, Elites started talking about war and it's consequences and they tried to prevent a new war. They first contacted brutes and tried to a piece in the interest of prevention of new war. The talks continued for the next 5 painfull years after they made a peace and created a small coaliton to secure law and order and trades between each other. After war elites also tried to redeem in the eyes of people and offered them their technology to settle relations. But people still were angry at them, well…it was obvious and it will be for a long time. With the new covenant and forerunner tech UNSC began developing new ship models as well. For example Autumn-class cruiser, Anlace-class fregate, etc… UEG paid more attention to colony defences like placing several Monctons and later newly built Eröd Super ODP, small patrol fleets to colonies and other important things. After Sangheili-Brutes coalition sucess, other former covenant races, like unggoy, Lekgolo and others, except of Kig-yar and some covenant remnats, saw a good opportunity and joined to the coalition. Later in the year 2563 sangheili sent an invitation to UEG, this leads to formal voting. People were skeptic about this idea, but there found some people, that would join them, the same was with politics. But they were outvoted, so the UEG decided to join to the alliance. After that happened some incidents, protests but it was necessary to avoid any future conflicts. After human joined, coalition name has changed to „Milky Way Threaty Organisation". Comes year 2570 and people reconciled and slowly got to used to it, but they didn't know, what is coming from the darkness of the deep space.

Life on the station was kinda boring. Just siting on one place, sometimes look on the radar or sensors if something weird is going on and playing chess with AI to kill some time. This was life of the station operator. Just siting, looking at beauty of the universe. Space was calm, as usual. Deep, empty, calm. Operator was boret so he went to make himself a coffee and now is playing chess with on board AI. „Check mate." ,AI called „Igor" said as he won for the 36th time.
„Damit…i should return to Solitaire.", said operator called „Rodney".
„You can call it as a sucess, you have lost in 37 moves, that is 4 moves more than in previous game." Igor reacted on Rodneys answer sarcastically.
„Hahaha…really funny…" Rodney said, then he changed topic: „Is something new on radar or sensors?". Igor checked radar while Rodney went back to his place. „Nothing sir." AI said. „Nothing? No pirates, or stealth ships? Slipspace activation?", he knew his answer but Rodney still asked. For a few seconds only sound that makes were servers and station systems, after few seconds Igor answered: „I checked radars and sensors for 30 times and i found no suspect activity, everything is clear, sir.". Igor confirmed. Rodney looked in the messages, if someone sent him a message or something, after that, operator went back to watching the stars. After just few seconds, alarm has been activated, red lights turned on and sensors started detect some weird activity. „What am i looking at?", asked Rodney after he noticed it. „Our long range sensors detected some weird anomaly in sector OmegaT-15, no slipspace activation, no ship engines.", AI answered and marked the location on the map, holo map was displayed on the window and light blue dot appeared on the concrete location.
„What is that anomaly? And why the sensors didn't detect it earlier?", operator has woried.
„The anomaly was too small, first i noticed some fluctuations 30 minutes before, but it was weak and i marked is as system malfunction, after it appeared again, i imediately informed you, it looks like the signal is repeating in low intense waves, but sensors can't determine it.", AI answered with confusion in his voice.
„Display it." Rodney ordered, he began nervous, Igor showed it on display and he saw the signal now. He stardet thinking.
„Increase sensor sensitivity by 60%", ordered operator again.
„Increasing sensor sensitivity by 60%.", the sensors now started to recognize the strange signal, but it wasn't enought for Rodney. „Okay, now increase sensor sensitivity by 600%.", after it AI opponed: But sir, at this sensotivity systems can report errors, systems would not be accurate-„
„I know what does it means, just do it." Rodney interupted him, he was slowly became annoyed and more nervous.
„On it, sir", AI replied defeatedly, „Increasing sensor sensitivity by 600%."
After he did it, Rodney was interested and more woried about what the sensors measured, then he reacted: „This looks on some gravity anomalies in regular intervals…send a mesage to the Tassili patrol fleet and UNSC HIGHCOM plus inform Tassili, i can do nothing from here."
„Mesage sent sir, do you need something more?". AI asked, Rodney imediately replied: „Nothing, thank you."

For captain Railey Richards it was day like the other ones, just sit on the orbit with other ships from the patrol fleet, control the space of the Tassili colony, if some unknown forces don't disrupt Tassili space, killing some pirates etc. Railey was a women, 178.5 meters tall, with blue eyes, long, brown hair. She wore white uniform and cap typical for captains, she had a nametag with her name and rank on the left side on the uniform and on the right side she had some medals Railey achieved in past, Railey was 45 years old. She watched Tassili from the window on the ship bridge and looked at new harvest colony. It's estimated that complete terraformation will end in year 2897, which is more than 300 years of teraformation, but i can be earlier with new technologies incoming. Some places were green as the ecosystem slowly (with a lot of help) created. There were also space on planet, that was liveable for humans, so they started with building cities and spaceport. Orbital elevator was in the middle of it's construction, there were also 5 new Eröd super ODPs, equiped with two SMAC cannons instead of one like on the Moncton ODPs, incoming and outcoming ships with teraforming and building materials, even colonization ships with people on board, curent colony population was on only 150000 people on planet. Tassili atmosphere was stabilized so people can normaly breath. It was nice look, Railey enjoyed it every single minute, until now.
„Captain, we have incoming mesage from one of our monitoring space stations 250 000 km away.", Railey turned back to the bridge and went to the holotable, where appears blue AI avatar called Winston, AI also looks as a british premier Winston Churchill from the second world war.
„What is it saying?", Captain asked.
A"A few minutes ago, station operator discovered some wierd gravity anomalies in sector OmegaT -15, UNSC HIGHCOM also received the mesage and they are asking us, if we can take a look at it.", Winston said.
„Finally something interesting is going on.", Railey said for herself, then she started giving orders.
„Lieutenant, send a mesage to UNSC Rocknrolla and inform them that we are going to the sector OmegaT-15! Navigator, set up curse to sector OmegaT-15! Winston ETA?", Railey asked AI after she gave orders and bridge went alive, people started running from stations to stations, preparing ship for slipspace jump.
„6-7 hours.", AI answered shortly.
„Ma'am, we've got a mesage from UNSC Rocknrolla, they are ready for jump!", lieutenant informed.
„Fine, get us to the OmegaT-15!", captain gave order, after that, two Warrior class destroyers separated from the patrol fleet and entered the slipspace.

Deep in the ice planet, something started to happen. Planet started shaking and ice was slowly breaking. A huge cracks was appeared on the top. They became bigger and bigger and bigger and earthquake became stronger and stronger and stronger, until it was too much for the planet and planet fell apart. Instead of the planet were pieces of ice in different sizes. In the middle of all of it was huge objekt looking like a giant tunner.

Okay, this is my first chapter, let me know if you like it or inform me about some mistakes i made. Please, don't be toxic in comments section, i am relatively new in this and i am learning. Another thing, i found out that finding some info about MAC/SMAC will be a huge pain, i tried to look at some sites, different numbers, different power scaling, i don't know, which numbera are correct, i would like if you send me some equations so i can calculate the power and also i try to make it so that it will make sense, no MAC powers in terratons (Mk.III Light MAC in 1.62 terratons i found i think), or exatons, because if you think about, it makes no sense. It's just too much to be a true. So i will be happy if you help me with it. Btw thank you for reading and i hope you understand my situation.
