Beep beep

Ryder reaches into his pocket and pulls out his homemade cell phone specifically made for the paw patrol. Along with Rocky, they invented something far more advanced than any iPhone or Samsung but they've agreed to keep it to themselves.

He turns his chair and puts the device onto the lookout control panel. A large screen flips down and a familiar friend of their pops up on the screen. "Ahh Jake!" Ryder joyfully says as he positions his head to fit into frame. His facial expression quickly changed once he sees the screen.

"Hey Ryder! I'm in quite the pickle here up in Alaska!" Jake says shivering in the darkness. His slow, hot , heavy breathes fog up the camera as they clash with the frigid Alaskan air.

Ryder leans in and quickly starts to type away at his computer. He takes another glance at Jake who manages to be somewhat calm despite his terrible physical condition. Icicles hang down his snow goggles and snow covers his beanie. With more analyzation Ryder could see that his goggles are broken.

"Aaaand here." Ryder mumbled to himself as a map on northern Alaska pops up. He looks at the screen disapprovingly and starts to type away once more.

"I-is everything looking good Ryder?" Jake quickly says not wasting his breath on words.

Ryder lets out an exhale. "Jake, we'll be there in no time. We just can't pinpoint your exact location so try to build something noticeable." Ryder quickly said as he stands up and takes a bunch of papers with him. "What happened?"

Jake shivers. "I was traveling up here in Alaska and I decided to venture this open a-area for photos. And I uh... I think I fell into a small lake knee deep which was only the beginning of this mess. I took the rest of the time to b-build a uh tent. I must've lost track of time because it was early morning and super dark and that's when I heard something so I started run taking what I could. That's when I fell into this cave." He said exhausted from the story. He slipped into his sleeping bag. "And I think there's something following me."

"Okay. Don't worry jake. The paw patrol is on their way." Ryder says with a shine of determination in his eye.

Jake nods and hangs up the call. Ryder reaches for his pup pad. "Paw Patrol. Grab your heavy snow gear and meet at the front of the lookout ASAP!" Ryder hurriedly says before walking quickly to his own personal closet.

He presses a small screen which opens a hidden wall that reveals a specialized wardrobe. He taps the right most side of the screen frantically and stops when he reaches his thick jacket, pants and snow boots.

Outside, Chase, the second in command and police dog of the team is already out with his suitcase ready. "Snow mission sir?" Chase asked as usual trying to get informed before anyone else. "Yes, a high risk one." Ryder replies.

Soon after the other members of the paw patrol line up to each side of Chase. "Ready for action Ryder Sir!" He shouts and takes his signature step forward.

"There's not enough time for me to discuss right now. I'll tell you guys on the air patroller." Ryder says as he pulls out a remote from his pocket with a multitude of buttons and switches. "Air patroller?" A cockapoo who goes by "Skye" asks.

Just then, the fresh luxurious grass starts to shift 90 degrees before pausing.

Ryder presses another button and suddenly it starts to pull apart.

The pups watch in awe. "What the..." Zuma mumbles with his jaw dropped and watching as the grass come apart. Below the grass was a thick layer of metal and gears.

Once the grass was finished opening, Ryder pressed the last button which causes the floor in the man made hole to rise up.

As if the pups couldn't get anymore shocked, a stunning, freshly polished, glossy, sleek aircraft slowly rose from the hole. Rocky looked at the expressions of the others and smirked.

They all sat there, amazed by what they saw even letting out ooh's and awe's.

Chase sat puzzled. "How could I let this go so unnoticed?" He thought to himself.

Once the sequence finished, the hanger door dropped. "Hurry inside. You'll find your seats there." Ryder ordered as he went through the pilots cabin.

The pups took their time examining the fresh clean interior. "It smells like a new car!" Rubble commented taking a deep breathe of the relaxing smell.

They eventually found their seats and strapped in.

Ryder walked out and in sync, a big flat screen Tv flipped down from the roof. "Okay pups, this is a code red mission." Ryder stated.

They all worryingly looked around. "If this is code red why haven't we taken off yet?" Skye asked. "Yeah we wushed n' everything!" Zuma added.

Ryder smirked. "We already took off." He said as he pressed a button on the same complicated remote.

Hidden windows flipped down revealing the clouds, roads and ocean below. "They look like ants!" Said Rubble.

Zuma gulped. "You can close the windows now." He hurriedly asked while looking down at the floor. "There's a reason why I'm the water dog." He gulps and shrinks into his seat.

The windows close back up and the screen displays the iconic childish cartoon. "Now pups. Code Red means what?"

Almost instantly the answer is blurted out by Chase. "The most dangerous situation we have sir, when a life is in eminent danger."

"That's right.. Jake went on an expedition in Alaska. After an accident, he was scared off by some animal early morning which caused him to fall into a cave." Ryder explained as the animation on the screen matched his voice.

"Not Jake!" Zuma yelped and whimpered. By far the closest to Jake. During the winter including this current ongoing winter, Zuma would head up to Jake's mountain to snowboard when the ocean would get too cold for him.

Some of the others whimper with him before Ryder spoke up again. "Don't give up hope now pups. Jake got lost in this 5 mile radius in pretty much flat open landscape. I know it seems like a lot but there's only so many caves and hills to venture in this area. So we'll be forced to split up if we want to find Jake alive." Ryder says as he looks at each of his pups. They all look back not one of them breaking eye contact. He smiles. "I believe in you guys. I really do. This is only our second code red ever but I believe with the right planning we can do this."

Marshall let's out a howl in excitement. Soon the others follow in suit causing them to rally. Ryder can't help but smile.

Once they finish, Ryder continues. "Okay pups. I'll going to make you your new pup packs." He checks his watch and starts to calculate. "It's going to consist of snow survival supplies of course but it will also include gadgets you are accustomed too. Also, you guys are all going to be given a beacon that attaches to your pup tag. It only has a couple of uses so use it only if you have found Jake or you seriously can't find your way back or get lost in a cave. Lastly, some of us will travel in pairs and some won't. If you have any issues with this talk to me after but I'm thinking... Chase will go solo. Skye you're traveling in your helicopter. Marshall and Zuma, you two are going to keep each other company." The two high paw and start to giggle. "Rubble you will stay with my vicinity."

Ryder sends the screen back to the ceiling and puts the remote in his pocket. "ETA 3 hours. I'll be out soon with your gear." He says as he heads towards the cargo bay.

Silence took over the room until Marshall broke it was giggling with Zuma. But Zuma's laugh couldn't stay for long. "Is anyone else Newevous?" Zuma said finally getting rid of the spell that ate at his nerves.

Rubble exhaled. "I am."

"So am I." Skye said. "I know I'm flying but this is actually different from our first code red. It was a family of endangered animals. This is Jake we're talking about." She said digging her paws into her face.

Marshall unbuckled his seatbelt. "It's okay guys. We got this. When was the last time we failed a mission? This is just a slightly harder hide n seek game that's all." He said trying desperately to cheer up his friends.

"He's right." Chase chimed in. Everyone nervously looked around. "No matter what I'll still be proud of you guys." Chase added.

Soon the tensions start to ease. They go from small talk to full on conversations on their plans and what their gear could look like. Seconds turn into minutes and minutes turn into hours. Just like that, Ryder walks out pushing out a cart with 6 bulky pup packs and their uniforms.

"Everyone gather. We're landing in 30 minutes so we have to get ready quick!" He ordered. He organizes the cart and grabs Chases gear for example.

The pups rush over and neatly sit in their order ready for the lecture.

"Okay pups. This is will be your uniform. Starting from the bottom, the boots have retractable spikes and steel tipped toes for extra durability." He says holding up the thick black shoe with Chases dark blue accents running through it.

"Chases here for example have extra lights on the side for better help with tracking in darker areas." Ryder says and turns the lights on and off with a light tap on each light.

"Next is the vest. Chase's vest isn't as think as Zuma's for example because he just has more fur. The vest inside is premium cotton with thin a insulated layer over it to help kelp it warm. The helmet can be worn with your beanies to keep your warm and it's function's correspond with the survival pack. They're all different so I won't get into detail with that." Ryder says holding up Chases black and blue combat looking helmet with a digital screen attached to the arc rail.

"Lastly, all bags will include an instant fire starter kit, sleeping bag, small 1 person tent, food and water. Any questions?" Ryder asked finally looking at the impatient looking pups.

Zuma and Rubble are shaking in their spots eyeing their futuristic looking gear. "Well then. Hurry and try everything on. We're landing in less than 10." He says as he goes to suit up.

"Oh lastly, the beacon is somewhere there. Go knock yourselves out with it." He said not wanting to bug them anymore and walks away.

The pups hurriedly rush to their gear and put it on fairly slow. They weren't anticipating the difficulty of layering up with some of their gear.

Soon enough, Ryder walks out again with the pilot, Robo Dog.

He looks at all the pups as they look back at him. He gives them all a confident smile and goes over the game plan one last plan and tells them where to head off too.

The hanger door drops down once again and Ryder looks out into the white desert. "Let's go find Jake!"
