So... this is close.
If you guys didn't know, AKA not a long-term reader so you don't know I have a tradition of dumping a lot of chapters including at least one new story, today is my Birthday. And I wanted this story up for that day to mark the occasion.
I LOVE Bakugan, the old season at least. It fell off during the later seasons. The new game is great, but the show sucks.
However, I DID have some problems with it. From Mira's win/loss ratio and how her character was wasted the further into the story we got, to how they nerfed Drago when he came back as Neo Dragonoid, to the CONSTANT Gundalian Invaders shilling as we entered the last third (I get setting up the next season, but they took it too far with how much it was even vital to the plot), how it abandoned a lot of the old shows cast, what it did to the in-game show and a bit more.
So... gonna have a fun re-do of the series!
It is gonna be a Dan X Harem story. In the harem will be Runo, Julie, Alice, Chan-Lee, Mira and Myleen.
Also, aging everyone up by three years.
Drago is not going to be weakened to near nothing. Just... seriously? 400G's? That is weaker than Delta Dragonoid. I understand making him weaker than he was when he was Infinity, but coinsidering Helios was naturally then Drago should have gone a BIT higher. Plus, still giving him access to the Perfect Core power. Only limited. Because why not, this is all for fun.

Bakugan New Vestroia, Neo Version
Chapter 1
A Brand-New Journey
We find ourselves in the world called Vestroia. Or rather, as it was now known, New Vestroia. The home of the Bakugan. Back then, the world was split into six worlds based off the Six Attributes. Pyrus, Ventus, Haos, Darkus, Aquos and Subterra. Six worlds of six attributes.
Several years ago, chaos reigned. A human called Michael Gehabich created a dimensional transporter, which ended up dragging several Bakugan to the Human World. The humans, children, made a game using these creatures, the Bakugan sent to their world mostly driven to battle obsessed mindless madness. Then, a few years later, a Bakugan called Naga had attempted to take the two Cores of Vestroia. However, instead, he ended up sending the positive charged Infinity Core flying away, accidentally sending it and more Bakugan to the blue world, while he was consumed and merged with the negatively charged Silent Core.
And so, a battle began. A lone Pyrus Dragonoid ended up meeting a human child, aged 15, known as Daniel 'Dan' Kuso who nicknamed the might Draconic being 'Drago'. They formed an uneasy alliance at first that grew into a deep friendship. With their friends they were a team known as the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.
Many difficult battles faced the team, the group evolving to greater and greater heights. Drago himself evolving twice, first into Delta Dragonoid and finally into the Ultimate Dragonoid.
They found the Infinity Core, inside the body of Naga's sister and Drago's lover called Wavern. The battle raged on as Naga came to Earth, an act that began to merge and destroy the two worlds, to hunt down and kill his sister. In the final battle, and no other choices left, Wavern forcing Drago to kill her, his lover to save both worlds. Merged with the power of the Infinity Core, evolving to a god-like Bakugan known as Infinity Dragonoid, he and his friends defeated Naga and ended the conflict.
The conflict. But the chaos he caused was not over. The Bakugan were forced to leave their human companions, their friends, and go to their home world. For they would never see them again, as Drago made the ultimate sacrifice.
With both the Infinity and Silent Cores within himself, merged together into the Perfect Core, the Perfect Dragonoid had but one mission. To return Vestroia back into its original state. An act that required him to destroy his own body, his mind still conscious inside the Perfect Core. Now the god of Vestroia he watched on as the six attribute worlds combined into a new mass, a new world.
A New Vestroia.
A world of perfectly balanced minus and positive energy.
A world... finally at peace.
Drago's friends watched the world he created. Ventus Storm Skyress, Subterra Hammer Gorum, Aquos Preyas as well as his spawn/brother Aquos Preyas II Angelo/Diablo, Haos Blade Tigrerra and finally Darkus Alpha Hydranoid. The six Legendary Brawling Bakugan. They watched on and guarded the world, ready to defend it.
Little did they know what was to come.
Three years later... the Vestals arrived.
The human world was not the only world connected to Vestroia that fateful day all those years ago. No. Another world, Vestal, was also connected. They, to, had Bakugan arrive in their world. And, like the children of Earth, the people of Vestal created their own game using the creatures and cards.
However, there was one key difference between Vestal and Earth. The planet Vestal... it had to deal with a massive overpopulation problem, a planet running out of resources and dying by its own peoples very existence. And so? What did they do?
They discovered New Vestroia. And invaded. Using technology to trap and containing the Bakugan within their ball forms, the higher ups spreading misinformation and lies to the public so they would not know the truth. So, they would not know the Bakugan where not living beings. So, they did not know that they were invaders.
The Bakugan fought back as best they could, teaming up with the few Vestals who discovered the truth and wished to help free the innocent beings they had unknowingly helped subjugate. The six Legendary Brawling Bakugan did their best. But one by one, the Bakugan fell.
One by one, the six where lost.
One by one, the heroes of New Vestroia were taken prisoner by the Vexos, the Vestals greatest Brawlers, and given to the royal family... where they were turned into bronze statues. Turned into decoration for the Prince of the Vestals, so he could wallow in the power he saw himself having.
This was the sight the heroic Dragonoid, Drago, was forced to watch. The Bakugan who had sacrificed everything for his home, the Bakugan who was nothing more than a mind within the core of their dimension holding their world together, was forced to endure. This was his torture, his greatest nightmare, watching his friends fall. One. By one. By one.
As he watched on. Helplessly.
This... was his HELL.
This... is where our story begins. At the centre of New Vestroia, at the Perfect Core. Where Drago watched on from his self-made prison. The shimmering, glowing, silver, almost white, orb with six glowing balls floating and rotating around inside it. Each smaller orb the colour of one of the different attributes a Bakugan could be red-Pyrus, blue-Aquos, green-Ventus, orange-Subterra, yellow-Haos and purple-Darkus.
The orb flouted there simply, calmly and quietly. But inside? Inside.
Inside was rage, sadness and depression.
From within the orb, a voice spoke. The Dragonoid known as Drago began to speak, shouting out at the silence. "Tigrerra too?!" he roared out, the rage of everything filling him to his very core. His literal, mental, core. His very soul crying out in pure disgust of just... EVERYTHING that was happening "Is this to be my fate?! I ask you ancestors! If I'm doomed to watch my friends fall; defending the world I sacrificed EVERYTHING to protect?!" he cried out, yelling out to the nothingness.
Alone.
Trapped within himself.
No one to hear, one to respond.
The eternal loneliness, the utter despair.
All he could do was scream out into the nothingness.
All he could do is roar out...
"ANSWER ME!"
...
...
He was, of course, met with silence. The option, the situation, he was forced to endure.
Who was he kidding, expecting a response? Who would even be able to answer him?
He was trapped.
He was alone.
"We hear you Drago, and we have come" a voice said, speaking out all around him. An answer came, at last, as six presences appeared around the Perfect Core.
Drago 'watched' on as six lights glowed in front of him and took form, took shape. Red, blue, green, orange, yellow and purple. They took roughly humanoid in shape. Six figures wearing masks and robes. Each wearing one of the Attribute symbols atop their outfits.
Finally, a response. Finally, an answer. In the form he had least expected.
Before him stood the Six Ancient Warriors of Vestroia. From before the world had been separated, defenders of the world from before he was even born. Apollonir, Lars Lion, Clayf, Frosch, Oberus and Exedra.
Lars Lion, the ancient warrior of Haos, was a shining Warrior who was wearing a long, white cape with gold markings with a pair of long pointed ears jutting out from the sides of her head. A knight's armour protects her head and body, the padding and armour having an almost priest like appearance while the Haos symbol was placed upon her chest. "We are with you in the core" Lars Lion continued, her voice soft and assuring.
"The Six Ancient Warriors of Vestroia?!" Drago gasped as he looked at the four, hope filling his heart for the first time in almost three years "Then there IS hope!"
"There is always hope, each of us sacrificed much to save our world" Lars Lion stated, looking down at him. The Haos guardian having great empathy in her words
"Just as you have sacrificed, oh greatest Dragonoid." praised the Darius warrior, Exedra. Exedra was, as said, a Darkus Bakugan that was also currently in a cloaked form. A long, closing purple cloak well past the point of humanoid feet that gave him a spectral look. Black armour over his chest and shoulders held the Darius emblem over his chest. His mask being very much like a knight's helmet with a long extended back and a long red curved horn.
"But now New Vestroia faces a danger unlike any other." warned Oberus as her voice was filled with worry. Oberus was the Warrior of Ventus, of the wind. In her cloaked form she was the smallest, wearing smaller and sleeker Robes then the others. And yet, the symbol of Ventus was still proudly placed on bed chest. Her mask seemed to have green hair flowing off around it, while her mask also had a golden headset jutting off upwards "And in this time of need, we ask you to sacrifice once again young Dragonoid. You are the only one who can save our world now"
"But what can I do? I'm not a Dragonoid anymore." Drago said, and once again anger and despair arose. Trapped, no more than a spirit. A ball. It was like when he was first sent to Earth, all over again, as Vestroia fell apart "I am the perfect core that balances and binds this world. If I were to leave, then New Vestroia would separate, and that would mean the end of everything!"
Frosch interrupted Drago before he could say any more, the blue robed one moving forwards "If we combine our power, you can separate from the core, and regenerate your body." He told Drago calmly. Frosch was an Aquos Bakugan who is the wisest and the most tactical of The Six Legendary Bakugan. He also appeared as the oldest, in his cloaked form at least. He was around the same size as Oberus, wearing a pale blue cloak with white linings. Out of the puffy sleeves of his cloak, his hands where free showing their wrinkles and dark blue skin. Within his left hand he clenched a white wood walking stick, the Aquos symbol placed atop it. His mask had a large headdress adorned with horns, curves and the Aquos symbol while his make also held a large bushy beard that flowed out of the bottom
"But what of New Vestroia?" Drago asked, and he would have asked more questions but nears once again interrupted. This time by Clayf, the Warrior of the Subterra Attribute.
"You must leave behind enough energy to sustain the core Drago, but it CAN be done." Clayf instructed. Clay, the Subterra Attributed Warrior, flouted around atop a large chair made of stone. Wearing multiple layers of cream and beige coloured cloth, he sat there mightily on his throne with the Subterra symbol gleamed on his chest
"Then we must do it right away!" Drago urged as, once again, hope won out within his spirit once more. A chance, restoring his body. Even if it was for just a time, it would be all could ask for! A CHANCE to help fight back, to avenge his people!
"Agreed, but you must accept the consequences" Lars Lion warned.
"Consequences?" Drago asked, "What consequences?"
"Once you're separated from the core, you'll not be as powerful as you once were, and you will not look the same." Frosch said as he along with the rest of the warriors save for Exedra rose their hand
"Look the same? I don't care about that!" Drago cried out "I evolved thrice in my battle against Naga, before I lost my body to become the Perfect Core! I am not attached to any physical form! As long as I can fly, as long as I can fight, I am fine with any consequences! How much power must I leave the core?"
"Most of it. You will not be the Infinite Dragonoid, nor the Perfect Dragonoid, any longer." Lars Lion explained "While you will retain some level of ability, as long as your will holds strong you should still be as powerful as when you defeated Apollonir."
"NONE OF THAT MATTERS!" Drago snapped "I would give anything to fight for our world again! No matter how strong I am, as long as I CAN fight, I WILL fight! Please! Help me, Ancient Warriors, please! HELP ME SAVE NEW VESTROIA!"
"Very well Dra..!" Clayf was interrupted by Exedra, who didn't have his hand up yet
"Wait, my friends." Exedra stated simply
"What is it Exedra?" Apollonir asked his fellow warrior friend. Apollonir is the Legendary Warrior of Pyrus Bakugan and is normally a more humanoid Dragonoid with four sets of wings. But he was currently wearing a flame ornated armour of orange and red, the Pyrus Symbol atop his body. He is the leader of the six warriors.
"Our original plan, the original body we would give Drago, is weaker than even his first evolution to Delta Dragonoid." He explained "However we have all seen the foes he will be facing. He needs more power. More strength, and more access to the Perfect Core's strength."
"But doing so would either destroy his new body or leave the Core too weak to sustain itself!" Oberus pointed out
"Exactly." Exedra nodded "Which is why we must replace the Dragonoid's energy with our own. It will leave us weakened, but just adding some of our own power to replace what Drago requires will give him a greater edge."
"I see." Clef commented "That is a good idea."
"It has risks though." Frosch frowned
"Will it work?" Drago asked, listening intently. Anxiety in his voice
"Yes. It would." Apollonir nodded "However. It would be even MORE painful than what we were going to originally do for you, Young Dragonoid."
"Pain? Hehe." Drago laughed "I've already felt a lot of pain. Nothing could hurt more than what I have already endured. The pain of killing the one I loved, of watching my home be invaded, of seeing friend after friend fall. Nothing could hurt more than that. I can take it."
"Very well, Drago. Just know, your bravery is something we all shall always admire." Apollonir nodded as the six warriors all raised their arms together. Beams of energy, energy whose colour matched their energy flew through the air and surrounded the Perfect Core. Flowing into it.
...
And Dragon's screams of AGONY echoed throughout the realm
"I FEEL LIKE I'M BEING RIPPED APART! HNNGR" Drago shouted in pain, his screams of pain unlike anything every heard before. The Perfect Core rippled and shuddered, a small rainbow coloured ball slowly emerging from the surface of the sphere
"You must endure Drago!" Frosch mustered as his hands shook, alongside the others. This transfer, this pain, it was not unique to Drago. All six warriors felt parts of themselves being torn away, replacing Drago within the Perfect Core as a rebirth was being preformed
"GWAAAAHHH! GRAAAAHHH! AAAAGAAAAA! AAAAAAAAHHHH!" Dragon screamed in agony. It felt like skin was being ripped from flesh, torn off in chunks. Small chunks. It felt like his blood was boiling. Like he was drowning. Like he was being crushed. Like he was melting. All at once. The pain, the physical pain, was greater than he ever imagined.
But he kept strong. He did not give in. He endured.
And finally, a glowing rainbow Bakugan ball had emerged from the Perfect Core
"Drago..." Lars Lion said in a weak tone "Know that you are connected to the Perfect Core. That you cannot be far from it for too long, or New Vestroia will weaken. However, you cannot win this battle alone."
"You must go to Earth, once again. And find a partner. Someone to fight alongside you and assist you in the fight ahead." Exedra explained
A portal of grey and light opened before them, twisting and spiralling in front of them
"You have but an hour, Drago. Good luck." Oberus smiled
"Now go, Neo Dragonoid! Find a worthy partner and save New Vestroia!" Apollonir ordered with pride
"Of course!" Drago called as his new form rushed into the portal as a steak of rainbow light 'An hour? Ha! I need but five minutes!' Drago thought as he flew through the portal, rushing towards Earth 'After all, there is only ONE human I would consider calling... partner!'
*Meanwhile on Earth*
We find ourselves at a park, in a town card Wardington.
It had been three years since the victory against Naga, and several of those old heroes were reunited once again.
Runo Misaki, an 18-year-old girl with large green eyes and blue hair. Long, cyan, blue hair done up in a pair of twin tales. Her skin was rather pale, her body thin and slender. Small B-cup breasts but with good curves for her age. She wore a yellow shirt that reached just below her hips and left her shoulders uncovered, under a white dress with pink designs that stopped at the top of her hips. With that she wore orange thigh high socks and some brown ankle high boots .
Julie Makimoto was a young, pretty 18-year-old girl with very tanned skin, long, pinkish-white hair that is always in a side ponytail, and blue eyes. She had a large bust for her age, a D-cup, alongside some long-tanned legs. Her body having some sporty muscle, but not that of a pro athlete. She wore a bleached rainbow half-shirt with red shorts, white beach shoes and a red scrunchie and a gold heart hair clip. While the others where all Japanese, Julie was from America.
Alice Gehabich, 19 years old, had long flowing red hair and bright brown eyes, pale skin and a cheerful smile. Alice was from Moscow, Russia. She was wearing a light-yellow dress or skirt that hangs down to at least her lower legs or knees, a long-sleeved lavender hoodie that sports a belt, a pale pink tube top or shirt underneath the hoodie, and white ankle high boots. Her form was mostly hidden by most of her clothing.
These where the three main ladies of the famous Bakugan Battle Brawlers, but they were not all who were there.
There was also Dan Kuso. 18 years old, and the former leader of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers... And Runo's on again, off again boyfriend. With short spikey brown hair, a pair of hexagonal blue goggles resting atop his forehead. His eyes where a deep crimson, filled with excitement and eagerness. He wore a loose black shirt with a brand logo placed in the middle, a green circle with a yellow slash down if diagonally. He wore a shirt jacket atop it, the neck and arm area being red while the bottom part was white like snow. He wore a pair of pale green cargo pants and brown trainers. His body was toned but thin, that of a runner rather than a body builder. The teen keeping himself in good health.
Next to him was one of his best friend's, the 17-year-old. The young, short, child prodigy of a rather rich family, Chōji "Marucho" Marukura. He was short, honestly, barley 4 and a half feet tall with neatly brushed and styled blonde hair with bright blue eyes behind red rimmed glasses. He wore a professional looking white button up shirt with a blue vest and a red bowtie, blue shorts and white and blue trainers.
And finally, was a member of the group who... Wasn't really a Battle Brawler. Chan Lee was a Chinese girl, a girl who had been brainwashed to fight against them before becoming an ally. The 18-year-old girl had short cut dark hair, a small section left long and made into a ponytail that flowed down her back. Her brown eyes were framed by bright pink eye shadow, and she wore pink lipstick, somehow wearing the most make up among the girls despite being a clear warrior from how she stood. She was trained in martial arts and was currently wearing a fairly traditional bright red dress with golden accents that left her arms completely bare, the dress stopping at her shoulders, with the skirt leaving most of her legs bare outfit the parts flowing down from the front and back. She only hard a c-cup bust but her training gave her a nice backside
"I am really sorry the others couldn't make it." Chan apologized; the plan had been for a large party. All twelve of the main heroes who helped stop Naga reuniting on the three-year anniversary
"It's fine. We get it Klaus is busy with his company, Billy is looking after his mother, so on. It's all cool." Dan assured with a grin
"Mmm! I still can't believe that Billy!" Julie hissed "Going out on his stupid world tour without me! Three DAYS before this party! Talk about insulting and embarrassing! If he didn't want to date me, he could have just said!"
"Now now Julie, I'm sure it's not like that." Alice tried to assure her slightly younger friend... And Julie just hmphed
"Some things never change." Marucho laughed
"Any luck getting hold of Shun?" Runo asked as she sat next to Dan
"No." He frowned "He hasn't answered all day. Some best friend, going radio silent at the drop of the hat all the time."
"Don't be so hard on him, Dan." Runo frowned, a hand resting on his shoulder "He takes his ninja stuff really seriously, you know that."
"You're right." Dan sighed as he pulled his phone out, dialling the number once more
"So... What's going on with them?" Chan asked, pointing at Dan and Runo
"Who KNOWS anymore." Julie huffed "One day they are all lovely-dovey, then they are arguing like when they were kids, then they refuse to speak to each other, then they are best friends again, then they are going on dates, then they are dating other people. I wish they'd just make up their minds so I could have a shot with my Danny!"
"But... What about you and Billy?" Alice asked... And Julie went red
"Screw Billy!" She snapped again "He ditched me, remember?! And he keeps doing shit like that! And at important times to! I've had it with the guy! And he refuses to act like a boyfriend at all! I am officially dumping him next time I see him, although I DID send him a text heavily implying what was gonna happen this morning!"
"Hehe... He better watch out." Marucho mumbled with a sweat drop
"Damn it. It still can't connect." Dan hissed, loading his phone in irritation. Once again, the attempt to call his friend Shun bad failed "Something is interfering with the sig-"
BOOM!
"GYAH!" everyone yelled out in shock. Because before he could finish the sentence, lightning struck in front of the Battle Brawlers, causing some of them to fall over and scream in shock. Dan and Runo slipped off the bench they had been sitting on, flipping almost 180 as they crashed to the ground. Alice took a step back, behind Chan, and pushed her hair back slightly. Julie shrieked and joined Alice. Chan, meanwhile, got into a fighting stance. And Marucho? He tripped as he yelled, crashing down on the floor and nearly losing his glasses.
One by one, the Brawlers all looked up and saw a hole flouting in the sky, a big blue warp hole. Shocked silence followed the realisation of what was before them. They were all familiar with this hole... With this portal. But none could believe their own eyes. The sight before them was almost magical. An impossibility.
"No way... it-it can't be!" Dan called out in shock, eyes widening, before something... or, rather, someone answered his question. Rhetorical as I may have been.
"Sure, it can, Dan! Everything is possible!" A voice laughed, a very familiar voice. A voice that filled all their hearts with warmth and hope. And then, as if to answer their hope, a small figure jumped on top of a nearby trash can, revealing itself to be a red Bakugan. A small red and orange marble
"A Bakugan!" Runo commented in shock
"A Pyrus Bakugan." Chan nodded, pointing out the obvious as she noted the balls attribute. She had been a warrior of the Pyrus attribute, after all.
Dan looked down at the Bakugan. He recognised that voice, he knew it intimately. But he didn't get his hopes up, he couldn't. It was impossible after all. It must have been his imagination. But almost to prove it to himself, he asked the obvious question "But which one?"
"Who do you think... Partner?" The ball asked as it suddenly popped open. Two panels unfolded from the bottom, acting as feet, while the top left and right unfolded and spread out to symbolise wings. At the same time two small nubs unfolded at the sides, symbolising a second set of wings. And finally, the centre piece folded upwards, revealing a pair of moulded in hands and a green diamond inside it, while the top bit extended and formed a head and neck, three horns unfolded at the front as his green eyes glittering in the light "Hello, Daniel."
"D-Drago?" Dan stuttered, his red eyes sparkling and widening as he looked down at his best friend. A friend be thought he'd never see again. Sure, he looked different, but he didn't care. Not for a moment "Is-Is that you man?!"
"Of course! Who else would make an entrance like that?" Drago laughed, as he jumped into Dan's hands. His small back wings gave a flutter as he jumped, true joy clear in his tone
"Hah!" Dan chuckled as he stood up, an unbreakable smile spreading across his face "Hahaha... Hahaha... HAHAHAHA! YES! YES! Drago's back! He's back! He's back!" Dan cheered and sang while dancing around, his legs kicking around lightly as he spans in circles.
"Is it true?" Julie asked in joy and hope. Her hands crossing in front of her heart "This isn't, like, a dream or anything right? This is really, totally, happening?"
"Seems like it." Alice nodded with a soft smile
"I can't believe it! Drago is really back!" Marucho asked, equally joyful as Julie. The two almost appearing to shed tears
"Still as energetic as ever." Chan Lee chuckled with a slight grin
"Yeah." Runo smiled, actually blushing a bit, as everyone looked on at the reunion before their eyes
"He is! Take a look!" Dan cheered in joy, doing a small spin, before showing Drago to Julie, Runo and Marucho, then going over to show Chan and Alice "This is the best thing ever!"
"Hey Drago, how is my Gorum?" Julie asked with a little squeal of excitement
"Yeah, and Tigrerra to! IS she here with you?!" Runo asked, a glint filling her eye in realisation by what Julie had said
"Preyas! What about Preyas?!" Marucho asked, bouncing a bit to get close to eye level with the Bakugan
"I hope Hydranoid is looking after everyone." Alice smiled sadly "Or at least making friends. I know you all did not fight together long,
"I doubt you'd know." Chan Lee flinched "But if we are asking... have you heard any news of how Fortress is doing?"
The Red Bakugan looked over at the group in front of him... shame filling his eyes. Shame, sadness, and more "I'm sorry, but I'm not here for a visit. I'm here to ask for your help." Drago stated, causing the brawlers to be confused. This... This was harder than he expected. "I'm sorry."
"What's happened?" Dan asked, his eyes narrowing
"New Vestroia has been invaded, most of the Bakugan has been captured, and enslaved." Drago admitted bitterly, almost spitting the information out like venom
This news filled the air... and silence followed. Instantly, they all went quiet.
All the Brawlers gasped in a mix of shock and horror. Runo covered her mouth, Julie's eyes widened, Marucho's glasses nearly fell from his face, Alice froze like a dear in headlights and Chan gritted her teeth. To hear that news, the home of their best friends taken over and turned enslaved? After everything they had done? All the fighting, the pain, the sacrifices? Did it mean nothing?
But the one who handled it worst?
"You gotta be kidding?" Dan asked with a rage filled roar. No, rage was too kind a word. Furious, pure rage, which was all they had done... it had meant nothing, in the end. Aliens, taking over the home he and his friends had nearly died for?! Oh, he was going to teach a lesson! "Please, Drago! Please tell me you are joking!"
"It's no joke." Drago said, his head lowered. Disgusted with himself, his own inability to assist before now "That's why I came to you Dan. I cannot save them alone." Drago said, before turning and facing his old friend. His head bobbing a bit as he looked up, his green eyes meeting Dan's red ones
"Drago.." Dan whispered
"Will you help me, Dan?!" Drago yelled out his request, no hesitation or shame. This was why he was here, and it was the only thing TO say. He needed to ask, he HAD to ask. But he feared the answer. Dan, and his friends, were safe here. It had been three years, they had a life, they were safe. They did not need to involve themselves with this, and honestly Drago would not have blamed them.
Doubt filled the dragons mind for but a moment. Maybe this WAS a bad idea. Maybe it was a pointless choice.
Maybe he should not have asked-
"Hello?!" Dan yelled, catching Drago's attention. The Red Bakugan looking up, looking deep into Dan's red eyes, as the leader of the Bakugan Battle Brawler's spoke "You'll bet I will! We'll make those spaced invaders wish they never heard of Dan and Drago!"
"Dan..." Drago whispered, close to tears. That passion, those words. Dan... his partner. He couldn't be happier
"Yeah, you bet!" Julie cheered "We're coming to!"
"No one hurts my Tigrerra and gets away with it!" Runo agreed "The Battle Brawler's are going to crush those invaders!"
"Count me in." Marucho nodded "You are going to need all the help we can get! And we aren't leaving you behind!"
"Thinking about all the terrible things that could be happening to the Bakugan. It... it's unforgivable! We have to stop them!" Alice cried out
"Looks like we have a full team of six going." Chan nodded with a slight smirk "However, do not expect me to change my specialty to Ventus to match that. The flames of Pyrus are much more my style."
"I thank you all for your help. It means everything." Drago nodded as he looked at the five "The first thing you can all do for me... is to turn around."
...
"Turn... around?" Alice blinked in confusion, tilting her head slightly. Chan's eyes narrowed a bit as she stood in the back
"Yes. Please." Drago nodded
"That's a bit... weird. But okay." Julie shrugged, all of them turning around
"Who knew Drago was such a shy Bakugan." Runo commented
"Dan." Drago whispered harshly, jumping up from Dan's hand to his shoulder "We must go. Now."
"I-Wha-" Dan blinked in shock
"No!" the dragon hissed, Dan nodding on instinct and starting to take a step forward... when a hand grasped his shoulder
"Wha-?" Dan blinked as he turned around... and saw Chan looking at the two, glaring
"You weren't about to just ditch us, where you?" she asked harshly
"I-you-ditch, I-huh?" Dan blinked, shaking his head
"WHAT?!" Runo snapped as she span around "YOU WHERE ABOUT TO DO WHAT?!"
"Hey! Don't blame me, Drago was saying to do so!" Dan called back, waving his hands
"Wha~t?!" Julie gasped
"No way!" Marucho blinked
"Is that true Drago?" Alice asked, hurt in her tone and her voice
"It... is true." Drago admitted, lowering his head
"Why... Drago... Drago, why?" Alice called out "Why?! Why did you try and leave without us!"
"Yeah, what's the big idea?!" Julie yelled
"I am sorry." Drago commented, lowering his head "I am taking a BIG RISK contacting you humans again. I know I can count on Dan, but I couldn't... I CAN'T put you all in harm's way as well! It's just too dangerous!" his tone turned sad, desperate "I cannot put more friends in danger! I can't! It is unfair, vile! Heartless! You have no Bakugan to defend yourselves! Too many of us trying to stick together in the wasteland those invaders have turned my home into! It's just... it's too much..."
"Wow... you really HAVE been through a lot." Runo commented "To not realise how stupid that idea is."
"W-What?!" Drago gasped
"We are a TEAM Drago!" Marucho called out "All for one, one for all! All of us, fighting together! Side by side! No matter the danger!"
"Yeah buddy. I'm not some all-perfect guy or anything. Even if you and I are the best partners ever, we can't take on an entire civilization by ourselves. That's way too crazy." Dan commented
"We'll think of something." Alice assured "But we want to save our friends to."
"Besides, you'll like totally need us to watch your back." Julie added "You may be super powerful Drago, but you aren't invincible."
"And we are all Brawler's Drago." Chan added "We all fought to defend your home once, as well as our own. The Bakugan are our friends, we will happily fight to save them again."
"Everyone... I-I-" Drago stuttered
"What do you say buddy? Ready to let go of the ego and let us ALL help?" Dan asked with a grin
...
"Thank you. Everyone." Drago bowed weakly, giving a sigh of defeat
"ALRIGHT!" Julie cheered "We're goin' back to New Ves~troi~a~! Yeah~!"
"We won't let you down." Alice nodded
"I hope my parents are going to be okay." Runo muttered
"Well, we do not have much time to tell them. Because we better get going." Chan stated
"She's right." Drago sighed "The portal will not hold for much longer."
"Then let's go!" Dan called, letting Drago slip into his pocket "Brawler's, let's move out!" he ordered, running into the portal
"Right!" Marucho nodded, the others nodded, before they followed.
They all took off in a sprint, one by one jumping into the portal. One by one, leaving the human world.
And as soon as the last one passed through, the portal closed.
Earth being left, locked off, once more. As the journey to New Vestroia began.
The six humans and one Bakugan flowed through the dimensional barrier, a familiar but old sensation for all of them. Looking out in front of them, they all felt the serious weight of what was to come. The dangers approaching.
"I must apologize again to all of you." Drago sighed "I wished not to drag you into this danger. And I must admit my trust... It is not what it once was.
"Drago, unless you changed completely, then have fate in the Brawlers. We saved Vestroia once as a team, and we can't do it alone this time either!" Dan assured with a grin
Drago looked up at his friend and nodded, the shame still flowing over him but also accepting the current situation. He was in no place to doubt them. They were all his friends "You're right Dan! We must be a team!" He nodded with a smile
"You've got THAT right Drago!" Julie grinned
"So don't worry your little BakuHead." Runo assured
"Yeah Drago, we are all in this together!" Marucho nodded
"You're all right." Drago stressed
"Of course, we are." Chan agreed
"We will help save your people Drago." Alice smiled, nodding softly
"Look out New Vestroia, the Battle Brawlers are coming!" Dan cheered, punching the air... And almost perfectly on time, the group left the portal.
Julie jumped out and landed calmly, doing a little hop as she left the portal. Chan jumped out of the portal and did a small flip, landing ready for battle. Marucho stumbled a bit but kept his fitting. Alice descended almost like magic, her past abilities allowing her safety. Runo almost ran out of the portal, tripping a but keeping her balance.
And Dan?
He almost dove face first out of the portal
...
And landed face first as well
CRASH!
"OW!" Dan yelled as he crashed, standing up and brushing himself out "Well... That smarts." He hissed, a small cut on his cheek from the rough ground
"Same old Dan." Julie giggled
"Yeah." Runo and Alice smiled
"Hey, what's that?" Chan blinked, picking up a book that had fallen out of Dan's pocket. A small green handbook
"Oh, I was feeling nostalgic the other day." Dan explained "So I've been rereading all the old rules of Bakugan. Those are the original notes taken down about it as Shun and I planned it out, as we made the game. He has the same thing. And it's good I kept all my old cards in there to, well the generic stuff at least."
"Wow. Talk about lucky, Dan." Runo blinked
"Yeah." Dan chuckled "Can't believe I just went full hot-headed power all the time. There are so many rules and strategies I could have used. And I helped MAKE the game. How lame."
"Now Dan, don't be so hard on yourself." Alice encouraged
"She's right, Daniel. You were a child." Drago reminded
"Thanks guys." Dan smiled "But hey. With me, Alice and Chan here, we have three of the four best Brawlers in the world to help you out! So, you're all fine, Drago buddy!"
"It feels as though, if I continue to thank you all then it will lose all meaning. But I must insist. Once again, thank you all for helping." Drago nodded, flouting high "You can... See what has happened here."
The others blinked; their attention finally being drawn to their surroundings... And gasps filled the air. Horror filled gasped, as well as some shocked ones.
All around them where deserts, sand and rock in every direction. And not a good-looking desert, as it was clear this was in no way natural. The way the earth was ripped apart, the random patches of earth and more. It all just spoke of... Of destruction.
"So, this is New Vestroia?" Dan asked while looking around, narrowing his eyes a bit
"I remember it being kind of greener." Marucho commented
"As did I." Alice agreed, a hand covering her mouth to hide her empathy for those who lived in this once happy world
"Drago... What happened to your home?" Runo asked sadly, almost feeling ashamed to ask herself. But it was a question they all shared.
"Yeah, tell us!" Julie said, affirming the desire to know. Even now she was full of energy, despite the sad situation they found themselves in
There was a moment of silence as the Pyrus Bakugan flouted in the air... and then Drago sighed, lowering his head, as he began his tail "It was a paradise, until they came. They called themselves the Vestals and they came to stay." He explained simply, remembering back to those days long gone "They came suddenly, without warning. They planted city across New Vestroia and transmitted a destructive energy across our world that change the molecular balance of everything in its path and this energy also transformed all the Bakugan back into sphere."
"Is that so they can easily overpower?" Dan asked the obvious question
Drago was silent for another moment before giving a soft no and continued the story "Yes. That was exactly what they did, leaving us no chance to fight back. And then they began capturing all the Bakugan one after other, sucking up as many as they could. Literally. Stealing them from their homes. And using them as entertainment!"
Marucho gasped in horror at those words, taking a step back "But that is just plan rude!" He shouted politely
"Bite more than rude if you ask me." Chan frowned "More like disgusting!"
A few years ago, Dan would not be as free as he was now. Fear of his parents reprimanding him, and force of habit would have made him censor himself. But there was a few years ago. Now, age 18? He let his honest feelings fly free as he snapped "That's a load of crap! They think they can just walk all over this planet and capture all the Bakugan then they'll have another thing coming!" Dan said, mostly to himself, preparing to enter a full rant as his rage began to overwhelm him
"Dan, calm down." Runo commented as she placed a hand on his shoulder
"Grrr! When I find those Vestral's they are gonna be in a WORLD of hurt, you hear me?!" Dan continued to rant, ignoring his sort of girlfriend as he continued to vent.
And then a voice called out to them, breaking Dan from his rage and shocking them all
"Oh, we hear you. Now... what are you gonna do about it?" A gruff and arrogance voice stated, the Brawler's eyes widening as they looked atop a cliff side where two figures stood with dark smirks upon their faces
"Just who I was looking for." Dan growled as he looked up at them "Hey! You guys the Vestal's?!" He yelled
"What of it?" The shorter one said, his voice rather high-pitched and... Well, grating
"What is with their eyes?" Julie whispered
"They are... Aliens, I guess is the best way to say it." Marucho pointed out "Even if they are like humans, there would probably be some differences."
"Go home to your toys children." said the muscular man, looking down at them dismissively as he crossed his arms
"You better go back to where you can from!" Dan threatened as he took a step forward, Drago flouting beside him
"Surrender, to you?" said the smaller one asked, before he then threw his head back laughing like a mad man
"Pretty tough talk for a little kid." The tall one frowned "Come on, show us what you've got." He growled
"You better watch out! You're gonna be crying home to your mommies!" Runo roared, her eyes twitching
"Yeah!" Julie yelled "You're gonna be SO sorry when Danny is done with you!
"What do you think, Volt? Should we waste some of our time teacher these little squirts a lesson? It should be easy they don't have gauntlets!" The smaller cloaked guy asked his much taller partner, snickering evilly and arrogantly
"What the heck are gauntlets...?" Dan blinked before shaking his head, frowning as he glared at the tow "Ah, who needs them! All I need is Drago?"
"Huh, this guy is too funny!" the bratty kid began to laugh wildly once more, mockingly.
"He is REALLY getting on my nerves." Alice commented with a frown

"Huh?" Our heroes blinked and looked around. They heard an engine roaring, echoing all through the desert. And suddenly...
A bright yellow motorcycle came rushing off over them, leaping over the group as it came off the pseudo-ramp of rock just behind them. The group yelled and sucked down as the bike rushed past them, skidding through the dirt.
Sitting atop the bike was an 18-year-old teenage girl who had some short orange hair, looking rather stylised and wind swept, and bright blue eyes, and the lack of pupils revealed the fact she was a Vestal. A pair of blue earrings hung from her lobes, barely visible through her hair. She had a rather curvy body, honestly, an hourglass figure with a curvy ass and a large DD-cup breasts. Her body was wrapped in a skin-tight marron leather bodysuit that covered her from the chest down, leaving her collarbone and shoulders bare. The body suit stopped at her left upper thigh; her right leg was completely covered but for the left leg it stopped at her mid-thigh. She had an orange belt wrapped around her hips, hanging smoothly. She had a small white jacket that finished just below her breasts, her jacket clasped together near her neck. She had white elbow length gloves. And finally, she had white high heeled boots of mismatched length, her right boot stopping halfway up her shin while her left boot finished just past her knee which left a BIT of her flesh uncovered
"I don't know where you come from or what you're doing here, but you'll need a Gauntlet to battle in New Vestroia." The girl explained with a beautiful but powerful voice
"I don't take orders from Vestals!" Dan stated, snapping as he glared at her
"Another enemy?" Chan glared "Just great."
"Actually, I don't think she is." Alice pointed out
"I lead the Bakugan Brawler Resistance, my name is Mira." said the girl as she got off her bike, grabbing a device out of her bag. It was a large, bulky device that she attached to her forearm. It was a white... Gauntlet like device, which went from the elbow down to the wrist, shaped like a rectangle with the side at the wrist extending like an arrow. It had a large screen in the middle of the device, four buttons near the wrist. The buttons where all brown/orange, with orange ornamentation around the back to a handle near the elbow. And finally bulky latches that kept it hooked on the arm covered in buttons
"Huh?" Dan blinked "The... Brawler Resistance?"
"So, you're on the side of the Bakugan?" Runo asked as Mira approached them, carrying a second Gauntlet
"Yes." She nodded. This Gauntlet had its coloured sections as a dull grey, but as she approached, she tapped a few buttons and the grey faded into a powerful red
"You're really pretty. And scary." Marucho commented simply, blinking lightly
Mira did not answer, instead she just tossed the now red Gauntlet at Dan
"Gwaaaahhhh!" Dan yelled as he reached out, desperately trying to catch the item... And barley doing so, letting out a deep sigh as he managed to keep a grasp on it
Mira walked past the group, standing in front them proudly "First, let's see if you can keep up against the Vexos." She said calmly,
"The Vexos?" Alice said confused, blinking and tilting her head at the name
"Yes. They are Vestal's top Bakugan Brawlers, the big one with no brains is Volt and the baby who thinks he's cool is Lync." Mira introduced, nodding up at the two
"Hey watch your mouth!" Lync snapped, grinding his teeth
"Like he said." Volt agreed, his eyes narrowing
"Their mine!" Dan whispered to himself, his fists clenching as be thought. Thought of everything these 'Vexos' did to the Bakugan. To innocents.
"So, human tell are you chicken or a brawler?" Mira asked with a smile, softly teasing as she looked at the human. Noticing his energy. Her tone even seemed slightly flirty
"I'm no chicken come on let me at those creeps; I'll show them!" Dan then put his gauntlet on his left arm, taking a few steps forwards. He saw her as mocking him, honestly
Volt and Lync hopped off the rock and on the ground. "Finally, the talking stops, we accept our challenge" Lync said putting his green gauntlet on. His gauntlet swapped the white out for black, the colour of his Gauntlet being Ventus Green. And meanwhile the grip at the end looked fancier and over the top, more regal. Volt did the same as Lync, the green being swapped out for yellow
"This is almost too easy to be fun." Volt commented while preparing his Gauntlet, his and Lync's Gauntlets opening. The back handle slid back, revealing a tray from within the device, where they placed strange cards onto the trays. The trays then retracted; the cards being placed behind the screens as they turned translucent
"Want to have some fun?" Mira asked with a flirty tone, passing Dan his own version of the same card... Making Dan yelp again as he attempted to catch it. Something he manages to do, but still.
"Grrr! That girl! Who does she think she is?!" Runo growled as the orange haired girl opened her Gauntlet, setting the card within
"Someone's jealous~" Julie teased
"NO, I'M NOT!" Runo snapped
"What is this... An ability card or something?" Dan whispered, looking down at the card
"Gauntlet! Power Strike!" the three Vestal's shouted at once, Dan frantically looking all over his device
"Aw... how's this stupid work? I-er-Do I push this?" Dan asked himself, frantically looking at literally every angle of the device, before he pushed the large button set on the back of his wrist, the Gauntlet seeming to activate as the trey extended out "Alright! And now the Ability Card thing!" he cheered as he laid the strange new card in the tray. The tray then quickly closed, a red light glowing out from the card . "Wahoo! Yeah! All right! Now we are in business!" he shouted in happiness, while Mira just sighed.
'How did I sink this low?' Mira thought to herself, unable to be to upset as she saw the cute boy being so happy.
"Show them what you're made of!" Marucho cheered to Dan
"Dan, Dan, he's, our man! If he can't do it, no one can!" Julie cheered
"Good luck! And keep your eyes out!" Runo called
"You can do it!" Alice said, clapping a but in encouragement
"Just stay focused." Chan instructed
"Right buddy!" Dan grinned, giving a thumb back "Don't worry about me, guys!"
"Hehe, enough talking!" Lync said as he drew a card "I'm up first, that okay kiddies?"
'Oh, games starting Huh?' Dan thought as he quickly reached into his pocket and drew a card
'What is he doing?' Mira thought
"Gate Card. SET!" the two roared, throwing the cards they had in hand at each other
...
"What?!" Lync and Volt blinked in shock at Dan's actions as the two cards flew through the air, landing on the ground. Lync's card began to glow green and expanded out, growing out over the ground... While Dan's just landed and did nothing
...
"What?!" Dan gasped
"Why didn't the Gate Card activate?" Runo blinked
"What are you talking about?" Mira asked
"Both players are supposed to lay out. A Gate Card at the start of battle, before rolling their Bakugan." Alice blinked "To set up the field?"
"Where did you hear that?" Mira frowned "Look, if you don't know how to Brawl, just stay out of my way." She encouraged "You'll only endanger yourself."
"Don't know how to Brawl?!" Runo snapped
"The game... Is different?" Dan blinked with a frown
"It's like a different format!" Marucho gasped
"Best to watch and learn for now, Dan." Drago whispered
"Right." Dan nodded in agreement... And grinning in excitement. It was like when he was 14, creating the game with his friend Shun all over again
"Whatever." Lync scoffed, pulling a two-toned green ball from his coat "Bakugan, BRAWL!" he roared, throwing the ball with all his might
The Bakugan bounced across the floor for a moment before it popped open. The top left and right hemispheres folding out a bit to be wings, the middle bit folded forwards twice to form a long horn revealing small red eyes. And finally, four small legs clicked out to hold it up
"Stand, Ventus Fly Beetle!" Lync ordered as his Bakugan let out a wave of green wind energy as it was released from its ball form
Fly beetle was... as expected, a flying beetle. A green insect, a Hercules beetle, with a silver spiked horn that had two extra tusk-like spikes emerging next to it. With six legs, beady red eyes and large wings protected by a green shell, it let out an almost mindless hiss as it took flight
"Bakugan, Brawl!" Volt followed out, throwing a white and yellow Bakugan "Haos Verias, stand!" he called
The Bakugan popped open as expected, the ball extending at the middle as the edges of the ball unfolded front and back like a set of arms and legs, before a mandrill like face folded forwards. Light shone around the Bakugan before it vanished, Verias' true form being revealed as he stood tall
A large, tall, white mandrill emerged from the sphere. Some orange markings on his thighs and arms while golden bands were wrapped around his upper arms. He had a small golden crown atop his head, some green fur around his face. With bright red cheeks and blue eyes, Verias span his black staff and striking a powerful pose
"A Ventus and a Haos." Dan frowned
"Grr. Using a Haos Bakugan for this sort of shit... he's lucky he isn't Brawling me!" Runo growled
"Be careful, Dan!" Julie called
"What are you waiting for, Christmas?" Volt asked sarcastically, clearly impatient for the battle to begin
Mira turned to Dan, a hand resting on her hip as she looked into his eyes while holding up a brown and orange Bakugan ball "I'll take the lead, you follow." she said as she rolled the ball between her gloved fingers for a moment
"I'm watching first round." Dan said simply, his eye twitching a bit... and blushing. This girl was real cute.
"Watch carefully then." she said as she gave a small wink, before twisting her body at the waist. Winding herself up, her leg pulling up a bit, she yelled out "Bakugan Brawl!" Turning her form, she gave a mighty throw. Her Bakugan getting a small spin, clattering across the ground before popping open "Subterra Wilda, stand!"
The ball opened with a small hop. The top half of the ball popped open, extending a bit, with two small flaps hanging down from it. The two parts clearly being arms, the halves of the ball having a second top layer fold out further. Making the shoulders look larger. In the middle of the two top halves, was the small head of the Bakugan. And finally, the bottom halves had two-parts fold out, becoming feet. The ball was surrounded by a brown light, as the Bakugan inside the ball was truly free.
He became a literal titan of a Bakugan, one of the tallest that the group had ever seen. Mostly made out of brown stone, with shoulders that looked almost like volcanos. he had joints of pale yellow and orange spots all over the place. A deep silver, almost steel like rings running around his neck, shoulders and wrists. His head was small with a grill like mouth, small green eyes and flowing red hair. And finally, he had two long, curved, horns coming out of his mouth which made him look like he had a GIANT grin or a moon inside his head
"Let's do this, Mera!" the might Bakugan roared, flexing his might
"Wow!" Alice gasped
"Look at that guy!" Marucho commented
"Giant..." Chan blinked
"Oh WOW~! Another Subterra girl? Alright! You rock, girl!" Julie praised
"Incredible..." Dan whispered, before his Gauntlet beeped "Huh?" he blinked and looked down, seeing the display.
On the screen was a picture of a closed Gate Card, as well as the three's opened Bakugan. In the four corners where portraits of the four Brawler's, each picture connected to a bar that looked similar to some sort of meter from a video game. Suddenly three small widows popped up, each window showing a picture of one of the three battling Bakugan with a small symbol showing their Attribute and a number which was their current G-Power Level

"She's already in the lead." Dan noted
"Now. Let us see how Vestal's battle." Drago commented
"Ability Activate!" Lync called as he pressed a button on the inner side of his Gauntlet, said Gauntlet on his left arm like everyone else's. The trey extended out again, Lync slipping the card inside, and the Gauntlet closed up. Holding his arm up, the card began to "Wall Burst!" he called as the card began to glow a bright green
Fly Beetle let out a small screech and rushed forwards, wind energy spiralling around it. It rushed past Wilda, the shock waves from its speed washing over the giant Bakugan
"Ugah!" he grunted, taking a step back
"Oh no, that card weakens the opponent by 100 G's!" Dan yelled out as his Gauntlet beep, looking down at it he saw the display flash and the G-Power shift
Subterra/ Thunder Wilda: 450G's - 350G's
"That is not good." Alice muttered
"Ability Activate!" Volt called as he did the same as Lync, setting his own card in place. The card began to glow yellow as he raised his Gauntlet, almost growling out the name of it "Lightning Tornado."
Verias let out several monkey hollers as he span his staff, launching a lightning shock wave at Wilda
"Look out!" Runo yelled out
"Gaaaah!" Wilda grunted as he took a step back, falling to his knees
"What's happening?" Julie asked
"That's a Haos ability which drains 100G's from the opponent and adds it to themselves, it is essentially a 200G boost." Runo stated simply
Subterra/ Thunder Wilda: 350G's - 250G's
Haos/ Verias: 350G's - 450G's
"Damn, this isn't looking good." Dan frowned as he looked at his Gauntlet screen
"Yeah, it's getting a bit boring." Mira responded, tapping a few more buttons on her gauntlet before the Gauntlet opened
'She's doing it differently than the other two.' Dan thought, paying close attention
"Get ready, Wilda!" she cried out as she reached into her jacket
"Of course, Mira." the mighty Bakugan growled, pulling himself to his feet
"Don't let her! Fly Beetle, attack!" Lync roared out
"Hurry up, Verias!" Volt roared
Verias rushed forwards, bringing its staff down almost like a club, Wilda quickly raising his arm to block the attack... only to stumble back from the strike
"Urg!" he grunted, only to be slashed across the back by Fly Beetle "GAH!" he yelled, stumbling forwards only for Verias to hit him across the chest
Mira gripped something within her hand and drew out smoothly, revealing she was holding two cards between her gloved fingers "Double... Ability Activate!" the cried out, slapping the two cards onto her Gauntlet's tray
"Double Ability?!" Chan gasped
"Sand-Beast!" she cried out as an orange glow grew out from her Gauntlet "Plus Volcano Hammer!"
"Let's go!" Wilda cried out, flexing as the power surrounded him. An orange, almost flame-like, aura burning around him. He threw his hands up, grabbing Verias' staff and swinging him around, smashing the simian Bakugan against Fly Beetle making them both crash to the floor
"Wow!" the group gasped
"What happened?" Marucho asked as Dan looked down at the Gauntlet
"Feel the pain!" Wilda called as he slammed the two Bakugan to the ground, the ground bellow beginning to turn into sand causing the two to sink in
"Sand-Beast and Volcano Hammer are two abilities exclusive to Wilda." Mira explained "First, Sand-Beast nullifies my opponents Ability Cards."

Subterra/ Thunder Wilda: 250 G's - 450G's
"And then Volcano Hammer drains 200G's from the opponent's Bakugan and transfers the points to Wilda." Mira finished, as Wilda's shoulders began to quake
"TAKE THIS!" Wilda roared; magma balls being thrown out of his volcano like shoulders. The burning balls coming crashing down on the two Bakugan as they howled in pain

"Oh no, she's 500 higher than us." Lync hissed as he pressed a new button on his Gauntlet before throwing his hand out "Gate Card, OPEN! Ventus Reactor!"
Suddenly the ground below the Bakugan began to glow green, wind flowing up and surrounding them all almost like a cage.

"Next, Ability Activate!" Lync roared, his Gauntlet glowing again "Power Charge!"
The Fly Beetle let out a cry as it was surrounded by a green energy crawling out of the ground

"Ability Activate!" Volt roared "Verias Siba!"
The weapon in Verias' hand began to glow, Verias howling as he stood tall, fighting against the assault
Haos/ Verias: 150G's - 350G's
Subterra/ Thunder Wilda: 850 G's - 650G's
"That's still... not enough!" Wilda roared as he charged forwards, giving a mighty punch to the two that sent the Bakugan flying
The two let out a cry as they glowed the colour of their respective elements, green and yellow, before they were sent flying to the floor. They clattered to the feet of Volt and Lync, the two growling angrily
"Oh yeah!" Wilda called out as he glowed orange, flying back to Mira's hand
"Hehe. Better than I thought." she admitted, catching her partner out of the air
"Wow! That was amazing!" Dan praised before his Gauntlet beeped. Blinking he looked down, and saw the bars besides Lync and Volt's pictures decrease

"A double ability... I didn't think it was possible." Runo commented
"Using two abilities at once, allowing for some powerful and skilful growth. Impressive." Chan nodded
"I took care of that one kid; it should be your turn." Mira commented with a wink
"Did you... Call me a kid?" Dan growled, his eyebrow twitching
"Maybe." She chuckled
"Fine! I'll show you!" Dan commented, drawing a card "I'll show you how we Brawl on Earth! Gate Card, Set!" He called out, throwing the card out with a mighty swing of his arm.
The card landed and flowed itself into the ground, absorbing into the rock below them
"Hehe. Just try us, kid." Volt said mockingly, throwing out his Bakugan once more "Bakugan, Brawl! Stand, Verias!"
"I've got your number now, Mira! Bakugan, Brawl! Go, Fly Beetle!" Lync ordered
"Bakugan, Braw-" Mira called, only for Dan to put his hand in front of her "What are you doing?!"
"Well. I have them JUST where I want them." Dan smirked as he saw yellow and green light glow, the Bakugan rising up high "Gate Card, open!"
"What?" The three Vestal's blinked in shock
"Opening a Gate Card before you're even in battle?" Mira asked
"Mine Ghost!" Dan roared powerfully...
...
And an explosion filled the air, Fly Beetle and Verias being sent flying back in ball form. The Bakugan clattering on the ground at Volt and Lync's feet
"Alright! Take that!" Dan cheered, fist bumping the air "Haha! That's one down!"
"What... Was that supposed to accomplish?" Mira asked blinking
"Huh?" Dan asked in confusion, looking down at his Gauntlet... And seeing that nothing had changed "Wha?! Hey! What the hell?! Why didn't anything change?!"
"Because you didn't beat the Bakugan." Mira explained
...
"Okay, what?!" Dan blinked and frowned "Hey! Listen, this is completely different than how Brawling works on Earth! How the hell do these bars, and everything work?!"
"Hehe. Look at the total newb!" Lync mocked, laughing
"My turn." Volt growled "Gate Card, set!"
A yellow glow flowed across the battlefield, Lync grabbing a new Bakugan out of his jacket while Volt grabbed another from his belt
"Those bars are a Life Meter, worth five hundred pointe." Mira explained "If you lose a battle, the difference between your Bakugan's G-Power and your opponents is deducted from the meter. Once it hits zero, you're out."
"So that's why those guys played abilities, even though it didn't bring them close to Wilda's power level!" Marucho commented
"Exactly." She frowned "Now if you excuse me, let's go Wilda! Bakugan Brawl!" Mira grabbed her partner and with another Mighty throw, the Subterra giant rose once more
"Well, better sit this one out to then. See more of how you guys' fight." Dan frowned "But you've all got only one Ability card left, you better make it count."
"... One... What? No, I don't..." Mira frowned
"Huh?" the group blinked
"Does the Double Ability only count as one Ability then?" Julie asked
"Is there, like, a ruling for that then? Seems like it could easily be abused." Alice added
"I... No? You can use as many abilities as you want?" Mira blinked
"Wait... is this literally just a 'bigger numbers win' gamer?" Dan whispered in shock
"Bakugan, Brawl!" Lync and Volt roared as they threw out their Bakugan
Volt's white and yellow ball bounced across the floor before popping open. The sides of the ball split apart and extended out, becoming six tentacle like squid legs "Rise, Haos Freezer!" Volt roared as the Bakugan let out a wave of light and began to grow, leaving its ball prison. The real Freezer was a large white squid with four red eyes and some golden accents around the mouth and legs
The Ventus Bakugan that Lync had sent out popped open next. "Rise, Ventus Atmos!" the shorter Brawler called. The top opened up and folded out, forming two giant wings, while a bird head flipped forwards and the tail fell down from the back. And following a burst of wind, it grew into a giant green falcon with two red crystals on its chest almost like eyes, with a giant wingspan that was rather intimidating

Dan frowned as he looked down at his Gauntlet, getting a quick look at the scores

"He's on par with Wilda." he noted
"Gate card, Open! Haos Reactor!" Volt roared, slashing his arm through the air
The ground began to glow and change, all around them sparkles and stars forming around them while the ground became a literal yellow glow

"Damn, he just shot up there!" Runo gasped
"And look at them together..." Alice blinked
Ventus/ Atmos + Haos/ Freezer: 550G's + 450 G's - 950G's
"Oh now!" Mira gasped. While the difference was not 500, she was still clearly worried. Quickly grabbing an Ability, she prepared to slam it into her Gauntlet, but-
"Ability Activate; Freezer Jail!" Volt hissed, his Bakugan's eyes glowing
"Mir-" Wilda called out, only for his body to -literally- stop moving. Freezing up, his body locking in place like a statue
"Wow!" Dan gasped
"No!" Mira squeaked
"What happened?!" Julie yelled in worry
"Freezer Jail immobilizes my opponent, stopping them from activating any ability cards." Volt explained with a smirk "Now, Freezer!"
"Atmos!" Lync added
"Attack!" they cried out together
Both Bakugan roared, unleashing yellow and green blasts from their mouths and eyes respectively. Their attacks slammed against Wilda, slamming against the Subterra Bakugan until he glowed orange and was sent flying back
"Oh no, Wilda!" Mira gasped, as his Bakugan clattered across the ground by her feet

"Hehe, having fun Resistance scum?" Volt asked with a snarky grin, catching Freezer as it was sent flying back to him
"This is too easy!" Lync mocked
"Wilda... I'm sorry." Mira muttered as she got to her knees, gently picking up his ball
"I'm alright Mira. They just got a lucky shot!" Wilda promised, laughing softly "We'll get them next time, we're still in the lead!"
"Keep telling yourself that!" Lync smirked "We'll be taking that Bakugan, little Miss Resistance leader!"

"What... was that?" Dan asked, fire in his eyes
"Dan?" Drago asked
"I'm, ready." Drago." Dan said simply "It is time. I've got this game!"
"Right!" Drago smirked
"Finally, I thought you were gonna be a big old chicken!" Lync mocked
"Well then..." Mira whispered as she stood up, feeling confident as she drew a card "I hope you can follow through with that, pretty boy. Gate Card, Set!"
"Bakugan, Brawl!" the three Vestal's yelled, throwing out their Bakugan. Yellow, green and orange light filled the air, the three Bakugan rising from the ground.
Wilda roared, flexing ready for battle. At the same time, Freezer and Atmos appeared before him

"What?!" the others gasped, seeing a second green ball rushing through the air before exploding into light, the green beetle rushing forth once again. The beetle slamming into Wilda, knocking him back
"Go, Verias!" Volt added, throwing out his own second Bakugan. The monkey Bakugan emerging from the ball

"Typhoon Chase!" Lync yelled, sending the power to Atmos as wind energy surrounded the Bakugan's wings making them seem larger

"GAH!" Wilda roared out in pain as he was blasted by wind and smashed hard by tentacles and staff. He tried to stay strong, but he couldn't take everything

"Our turn Drago!" Dan called, grabbing his partner. Shocking Vestal's as the young human prepared to join the battle
"Wait... I know that Bakugan. But from where? Drago... Drago... Where have I heard that name before?" Lync asked himself as he tapped his chin, his eyes narrowing
"Bakugan... BRAWL!" Dan roared with all his might, throwing his partner with all his might.
The red Bakugan span, rushing through the air sky. The ball smashed into Verias, knocking it back, before the ball bounced back to Fly Beetle as it tried to hit the Subterra Bakugan. Drago smashed into the beetle, sending it back from Wilda, before the ball bounced away and smashed against Atmos. The bird like Bakugan shrieked, falling down to the floor. Atmos crashed hard onto the floor, Dan pressing a few buttons on his Gauntlet
"What the hell is this trick shot..." Mira gasped, watching as Drago bounced to the final enemy Bakugan. The red and orange Bakugan smashed against Freezer's head, making it stumble, before the Pyrus Bakugan came charging back towards him
"Let's go Drago." Dan said as the Bakugan approached him, two cards in his hands "This'll be a good call back to our old days." he added, pressing the cards down on the open Gauntlet. Drago landed against a rocky pillar behind Dan and began to spiral around him "A test drive of your new body, Neo Dragonoid!" he called out
Lync gasped as his eyes widened, taking a step back 'Dragonoid?!' he thought in horror as he saw a shadow appear behind Dan for a moment, a large growling red dragon 'It-It can't be!'
Boom!
Drago's speed made a large echo as the journey he was taking finished it's track around the pillar, the momentum and curve sending him flying at the battlefield
"Bakugan Stand!" Dan roared as the Bakugan landed in the middle of the arena "Stand! PYRUS! NEO! DRAGONOID!" he roared out
Drago's ball popped open and like before his top half began to spin... as a giant tornado of flames emerged from his spinning body.
The five Bakugan in the battle shielded their eyes from the intense heat, the flames roaring high into the sky. Crackling and burning the ground around him.
Before, finally, the flames were shattered away. Revealing Drago's new form at last.
He was a large western style dragon covered in red scales; large, segmented wings connected to his arms. His stomach was all orange, with silver sections acting as a transition between the red and orange. A series of orange spikes flowed down his back, spiked and curved with a singular horn in the middle of his forehead. He had bright red eyes and on his chest was a green diamond shape crystal
"GRAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Drago roared triumphantly as the others looked on in wonder

"Let's just say, Drago has something special!" Dan grinned, his thumb brushing against his nose

"Grrr!" Volt growled "Ability Activate! Solar Soul!" Freezer let out a weird noise as it pulled itself to it's... legs(?) and its eyes glowed yellow and white lightning sparked around his body "This Ability gives Freezer an extra 200G's, and adds 200G's to every other Haos Bakugan I control!"

"W-Wilda! Now!" Mira yelled out, grabbing another Ability Card. Not even thinking about the weird situation "Ability Activate, VOLCANO HAMMER!"
"You got it Mira!" Wilda roared, throwing Freezer into Verias, knocking them both over, as a volcanic aura surrounded Wilda

"Wha-" Wilda gasped, seeing the attack flying at him, only for Drago to get in the way
Drago dashed forwards and got between Wilda and the attack, taking it straight to the back and grunting "That... tickled." he growled

Wilda landed hard, sending dust flying everywhere as he sent Verias and Freezer flying, Lync's distraction causing him to barley miss the final blow
"Storm Cannon is a Ventus Ability that can only be used when I have two Ventus Bakugan in play!" Lync explained "You lose 100G's for every Bakugan in the battle! Sucks to be you! Bwahahaha!"
"Nice trick." Dan smirked as he grabbed a new Ability Card "But we have some tricks of our own!"
"Double Ability Activate!" Mira called "Ground Boating Iron Plate!" as the orange Light shone from her Gauntlet, Mira smirked "This is going to give Wilda another 400 points and get rid of two hundred of yours! We've won!"
"You'd think so, huh?" Lync laughed "Counter Ability Activate! Storming Skies!"
Atmos flapped it's wings as it gave a cry... causing Wilda to groan, falling to his knees, as the light from Mira's Gauntlet faded
"Mira... I feel... tired..." Wilda muttered
"W-Wilda!" Mira gasped before snarling "What did you do?!"
"Like it?" Lync smirked "It cancels out your Abilities before they activate and you can't play anymore, you also lose another 100G's for every Ability you just tried to play."
"Oh no!" Mira gasped as she looked at her Gauntlet

"W-What's happening?!" he gasped before reaching into his coat, inserting a card "Whatever, I won't let you! Ability Activa-What's happening?!" Lync stopped, looking over his Gauntlet. As no light was flowing out of the card
"Dragon Quake neutralizes the ability for any non-Subterra Bakugan from activating Ability Cards!" Dan explained "While giving Drago an extra 200 points, and an extra 100 for any Subterra Bakugan in play!"

"Wilda! Go!" Mira yelled as her head whipped around, her hair fluttering around her head
"ALRIGHT!" Wilda called as the volcanoes around his feet came to life, rushing him forwards as he began to throw fists. Punching the four Bakugan, almost forming a circle around the four to trap them in place
"Fly Beetle! Atmos! Get out of there!" Lync yelled out with wide eyes

"GRAAAAHHH!" Drago roared out in victory, grinning in his own draconic way "Be gone!" he ordered
"Wow!" Dan yelped out as he held his hands out, catching the four Bakugan that the two Vexos had defeated "What's with this...?" He blinked
"Grr." Volt grumbled, turning around bitterly and walking away
"Hehe. You know what, Volt?" Lync laughed, following after him
"What?" The pink haired man growled
"I remember who that Bakugan is." Lync said proudly "That, my friend, was the last of the Six Legendary Brawling Bakugan. Pyrus Dragonoid. The one thought to be lost forever. And apparently, he's had a bit if a makeover. Hehe, things are about to get interesting ..."
Back with our heroes, Mira was looking on in shock 'Who... Is this human?! He could barely get the Gauntlet to work at first! Leaning how to use it so fluidly, to the point he could pull off a Double Ability as his first play, AND freeing four Bakugan in ONE battle?! He... He is possibly the best Brawler I have ever seen!' Mira thought as she looked on with wide eyes
"Hey, Mira, was it? What's with this? Why did those guys Bakugan come to me?" Dan asked
"I..." Mira blinked before shaking her head "When your Bakugan and your opponents has a difference of at least five hundred points, the losers Bakugan is claimed by the victor."

"But Drago, if we play our cards wrong one of those Vexos might grab you and then it's over for Vestroia." Dan frowned

"Most definitely impressive." Chan nodded with a smile
"But you know, I am curious about something." Alice commented as she approached
"Huh? What's that, Alice?" Dan blinked
"How did Drago do that within the battle?" Alice asked, "He is a Pyrus Bakugan."
"Yeah, she's right!" Julie gasped "How'd he gets boosted by that Subterra Gate Card?!"
"And how was he immune to the Haos Ability?" Runo asked as well
"I am curious about that to." Mira commented as she crossed her arms and approached them, moving a bit closer
"Huh? Oh, that's easy." Dan smiled "Drago, you said you're still connected to the Perfect Core. Right?"
"Yes." Drago nodded calmly "I have part of its power within me, and I am connected to it even now through my very soul."
"And the Perfect Core, heck even the Infinity Core, gave the power of all six Attributes." Dan grinned "So while Drago is TECHNICALLY a Pyrus Bakugan, he is actually a Bakugan of every type. Right?"
"Right." The dragon nodded
"That makes sense." Marucho nodded
"Wait..." Mira blinked "Drago... The Perfect Core... Wait! You guys can't be... The Brawler's who saved Vestroia all those years ago?!"
"Caught us." Dan laughed "Hi. I'm Dan Kuso. And these are my friends..."
"Runo Misaki." The blue haired girl greeted
"Julie Makimoto." The tanned girl winked
"I am Choji Marukura, but please call me Marucho." The blonde boy bowed
"Unfortunately, Mr Hot Shot Himself Shun couldn't make it." Dan joked
"And I am Alice Gehabich." The red head greeted
"And together we are..." Dan smirked
"The Bakugan Battle Brawlers!" The five greeted
"Nice to meet ya!" Dan finished off with a laugh
"And I am Chan Lee. While not a member of the Brawlers, I am a friend." The female Pyrus Brawler nodded
"I am Mira. Mira Fermin." The woman nodded calmly "As said earlier, I am the leader of the Bakugan Brawler Resistance. Having you assist us would be a great honour. We need as many people as we can to free the Bakugan."
"And WHY are you helping my people? You are a Vestal." Drago asked in confusion, landing on Dan's shoulder
"And not all of us agree with how things are." Mira argued "We were told we were colonising a planet with no sentient life. That the Bakugan were like mindless wild animals. Our planet is suffering from over population, no matter what we do we cannot keep up with demands. New Vestroia is the only place we knew of that had a suitable habitat for us to live on."
"So, most Vestal's just don't know what they are letting happen... Taught ignorance..." Chan frowned "A shroud over the dark truth, so those in power may have their way."
"That's just horrible!" Alice gasped
"When you think about it." Marucho commented "It means the Vestal's need as much freeing as the Bakugan."
"Maybe." Mira commented "But for now, the Bakugan are our priority. Saving them from our mistakes is all that matters. Saving those innocent creatures my fath-my people helped enslave."
"That... Is a Nobel goal." Drago admitted with a nod
"Yes." Mira nodded... And bowed her head "Which is why I humbly ask for you all to joining me. Join us. Join the resistance to free to Bakugan and save New Vestroia."
"Alright!" Dan grinned
"W-What?" She blinked
"I said alright! We were going to do it anyway, so some back up doesn't hurt!" Dan commented
"Yeah!" Marucho agreed "The more the merrier!"
"We hope we won't slow you down." Chan nodded
"Thank you for having us." Alice bowed
"Of-Of course..." Mira stuttered out
"Say girl, you got any spare cloths? Because you are stylin!" Julie smirked
"Yeah. These cloths might not be the best for travel." Runo agreed
"Ugh! Are cloths all you girls think about?!" Dan groaned
"What was that?!" Runo snapped
"You heard me!" Dan snapped back
"Why you... Shit like this is why we're on a break!"
"Oh?! So NOW we're on a break?!"
Mira couldn't help but smile at the sight as she looked at the six humans. Maybe now... Maybe now they had a hope.
