Katsuki Bakugou is dead.
That much The Entity could tell. It may not have eyes to see like other people do, but it doesn't need them in order to tell that the young fourteen year old boy was no longer one of the living.
The corpse that used to be Katsuki Bakugou was already starting to decompose, rigor mortis barely starting to set in as the vacant, dead eyes of the poor boy stared at nothing. Eyes that used to be so vibrant, fierce, and piercing now reduced to a lifeless, dull, almost brown-looking soulless gaze.
But what caused such a strong and ambitious person like Katsuki Bakugou to end up as a decaying, maggot-infested cadaver?
Well, The Entity recalls the young boy being led by two other boys who appeared to be around the same age as the aforementioned blonde, only to then be stabbed brutally and left for dead in a dark alley where not many people liked to hang around in.
The Entity is not entirely sure why those two boys would've done this, but what it did know is that this was an opportunity.
An opportunity that it simply could not pass on.
An opportunity to be a physical being again.
The Entity had not had a physical body in a long time. It was maybe a lifetime ago, possibly more actually, since it had been able to walk on two legs and touch with two hands. A lifetime ago since it could speak with a mouth and see with two eyes, feel the wind blowing through its hair and the waves of the sea splashing against its body.
A lifetime ago since it was able to feast on human flesh.
Oh, how much it missed it. The feeling of its barely live prey wriggling between its teeth as it crushed it beneath its fangs and felt the thing's blood smear onto its lips.
There was nothing more cathartic than feeling the life slowly but surely fade away from its food as it placed it in its mouth, massaged it with its tongue, and ceased the squirming of the pile of flesh as The Entity swallowed, its meal going down its throat and ending it all with a loud, throaty burp.
The younger ones were always The Entity's favorite, as they always tasted better when it could smell their delicious, delectable fear.
And now, it's able to experience it all over again, as the body it had been ripped away from so long ago, has finally come to reclaim its lost soul.
It had been rather easy tracking down those two boys, as their scent was all over The Entity's newly reclaimed body's corpse. First, it went after Kariage, the black-haired boy with the undercut. Seeing his reaction to witnessing the person he had killed so mercilessly come back for revenge was nothing short of satisfying. His face had contorted from confusion, to bafflement, to shock, to horror, and finally, to utter creeping mortification.
Predictably, he stuttered fearfully, asking for an explanation the moment his brain caught onto what was happening and he immediately tried lunging for a weapon, but now that The Thing That Was Katsuki had its body back, it had regained all the abilities that it hadn't been able to use for centuries.
One of them being body contortion and manipulation.
The Thing That Was Katsuki had stretched its right arm into lengths that shouldn't by the logic of physics be possible, rapidly getting ahold of Kariage's neck, lifting him around four feet above the air, then bringing him towards Katsuki with a completely black and lifeless stare.
Kariage struggled as ferociously as he could, but it had no effect on Katsuki's superior strength. Katsuki then brought Kariage even closer, until their faces were nearly touching, before unhinging its jaw and watching in morbid satisfaction as Kariage's eyes widened until they were almost popping out of their sockets, then, once Katsuki's jaw was wide enough, it chomped over Kariage's entire head, then pulled backwards, feeling the latter's neck start to tear as the skin around it slowly started to pull apart, before finally giving in, causing the boy's head to completely tear off at the neck, Katsuki arching its own neck backwards as it savored the scrumptious taste of human flesh that it hadn't had in so long.
The Thing That Was Katsuki held Kariage's head in its unhinged jaw for a few seconds before starting to gulp it down like a snake devouring its food.
After only a couple hard swallows, The Thing That Was Katsuki was able to gulp down Kariage's entire head without ever chewing on it once.
Katsuki then stalked around Kariage's home until it came across a box of napkins sitting on top of a small table with other such human necessities on it. Katsuki pulled a singular napkin out of the box and delicately wiped its mouth and face clean of any blood.
It might be a cannibalistic anomalous being with no sense of human morality, but it isn't a feral animal. Obviously.
Anyhow, it was now time to hunt down the other boy.
The Thing That Was Katsuki smiled wickedly, its lifeless eyes seemingly glowing with malicious intent.
Oh, this was going to be fun
Izuku Midoriya was nervous. Well, more than usual.
Kariage and Tatsuya, two of his biggest aggressors and bullies were found dead in their homes. The former having been found headless and the second with his entire upper body missing.
Their ringleader, Katsuki Bakugou, had also gone missing.
The three of them had last been seen walking out of school before Kariage and Tatsuya were found dead hours later. There are no leads as to who might've killed them and where Bakugou may have disappeared off to. Bakugou's parents had reported him missing after not returning home hours after school had ended.
Izuku honestly had no idea how to feel about the news.
He has been silently contemplating to himself whether he should feel happy that he wouldn't have to deal with his biggest aggressors bothering him anymore, or worried for his childhood best friend's well-being. After a long while of pondering and feeling guilty for considering the former idea, he decided to himself that it was perfectly fine and rational to he feeling both relieved that two of his bullies weren't around to harrass him any longer, and incredibly distraught over Katsuki's disappearance.
In truth, even if Bakugou had been Izuku's number one aggressor for most of his short life, he still couldn't help but look up to the older boy. But now he couldn't help but wonder if he was ever going to see him again, and if he does, in what state is the blonde going to be in after being found?
As Izuku was pondering this, silently already grieving over someone who hasn't even been confirmed dead, the door to the classroom swung open as someone walked in.
Immediately, a hush came over the entire class, the teacher stopping his lecture as a very familiar figure sauntered in with a completely deadpan expression.
Katsuki Bakugou.
Except, something was very clearly wrong.
First of all, his previously blood red eyes that would glare so fiercely at anyone who dared cross him were now muddy and glazed over. Secondly, his formerly fair skin was now sickly pale to an overly unhealthy-looking extent. Lastly, his usual perpetual scowl that he always had no matter the situation was nowhere to be seen. Instead, a completely expressionless and blank look overtook his youthful features to the point where he looked completely inexpressive.
Overall, he painted a very unsettling picture.
"I see nothing has changed while I was gone," Spoke Bakugou, in an uncharacteristically blank tone, absolutely no inflection in voice, making it sound completely flat.
Bakugou then smiled eerily, his dead-looking eyes expressing nothing as he spoke once more, "I'm glad to see no one has hurt themselves looking for me," he then laughed quietly, a sinister, uncanny sound, a ghostly pale finger coming to poke at his equally pale cheek in a show of strange mirth.
Then Bakugou turned his attention towards Midoriya, who was paralyzed in shock, eyes as wide as saucers and face almost as pale as Bakugou's.
Izuku only seemed to pale even more as Katsuki tilted his head to the side, a wide, unnatural smile overtaking his young features, before he then spoke out once more, "I see you haven't changed much either, Izuku."
A chill went down Izuku's spine, as Bakugou's predatory gaze seemed to sizzle out, his face once again returning to that blank nothingness from before. Bakugou then slowly walked to his seat, before carefully sitting down and falling into complete silence.
Multiple seconds passed before the blonde boy spoke up again, "Sensei, are you going to continue your lecture, or are you going to waste everyone's time?"
That seemed to shake the teacher out of whatever trance he was in, because he stuttered out an excuse to leave, leaving some random student in charge before he hurried out of the classroom.
And that was when all hell broke loose.
