My name is Nick Carraway. A few years have passed since Gatsby's death. My life hasn't ever been the same without him. I still haven't gotten used to the void in my soul. If there was a way to bring him back, I would do everything in my power to be with him once again.

The year is 1933. I am currently in the state of Nebraska. I exit my house, and I walk to the nearby river, and I travel some distance downstream. In this location, I have built a shrine dedicated for the purpose of worshiping Gatsby. Maybe if I pray hard enough, he'll come back. I pull out a cigarette and a match. I strike the match against my fingers, and it ignites. I light the cigarette, and I place it in my mouth, and start smoking. Once the cigarette burns out, I throw it on top of the shrine, and it piles up with several other cigarette butts. I close my eyes and start praying.

"Gatsby, give me a sign that you are with me." I wait for a few seconds, and nothing happens. "Gatsby, please show your presence to me. I believe with my whole heart that you are with me. Give me a sign." A few more seconds pass. Screw it, this isn't going to work. Maybe it's time for me to move on in my life.

Suddenly, an object floats down the river. It approaches me, and I see that it is a message in a bottle. I grab it, and I pull the lid off, and I grab the letter from inside. Most of the words are faded away, but I try to make sense of what it is trying to tell me.

"A great miracle will be upon you soon. 20, 04, 18, 89"

It's just a piece of paper from a fortune cookie. I doubt that an actual miracle would happen. I start walking back towards my house. Once I reach my house, I notice a package on my doorstep. The only thing written on it is "Nick Carraway." I take the package inside, and I open it. There is a locked box inside of it with a combination lock. I see that there are eight digits on the combination lock. Wait… That fortune cookie slip from earlier… I enter 20041889 into the combination lock, and it opens. There is a book called "Necromancy for Beginners by Abigail Williams" on the inside. The book is covered in dust, and it appears to have been untouched for hundreds of years.

I open the book, and I skim through it. The thing that catches my eye is a revival spell. Could this work? Maybe I should test this first to make sure it's authentic. I see a dead butterfly on the ground nearby. I recite the words from the revival spell, and the butterfly starts glowing. Suddenly, the butterfly gets up and flies away. "Gatsby, I'm coming." I grab my car keys, and I enter my car. I turn on the ignition, and I start heading back to West Egg.
