Loud Devil

Chapter 1

In the Arm of a Devil

So, the reason for this one is pretty simple. Lincoln has white hair. The Sparda family have white hair. So, why not? Not much else to say for the lead in so... Let's kick it up!

The night was black and the rain was heavy as a young woman rushed through the stone streets with an infant crying in her arms while being chased by men in white.

"It's gonna be okay, baby." The young woman said, feeling the strength rapidly leave her body as blood soaked through her clothes. 'Can't stop yet. Need to get away.' She thought before she summoned what little energy she could to make a mad sprint towards the water.

The effort it took get that far proved to be too much for the young woman to bare and she fell to her knees, it taking everything that he had to hold on to the baby. She then looked back to see them men in white catching up to her. She then closed her eyes in fear only to hear the sound of gunshots before she turned her head to see an older man holding a revolver.

"Uncle Al." The girl said with a weak smile as the man approached.

"You're gonna be okay, Miriam." The man, Al said as he knelt down next to the young woman.

"N-no, I won't." Miriam said as she held the baby forward. "Get him... to Rita. Make... sure... he's... happy." She said before closing her eyes and going limp, Al calling her name louder and louder until...

The eyes of a white haired boy around the age of seventeen shot open before he sat up in his bed, practically soaking in sweat.

"That dream again." The boy said before getting out of his bed.

A bit later, the boy, now clad in a navy duster, black pants, and an orange shirt was walking through the streets of the town of Royal Woods

'Why do I keep having that dream?' The boy thought not hearing the someone saying "Lincoln." 'Who is that woman and why was she with Pop Pop.' He thought, his name being called again. 'Maybe I should ask him about it.'

"HEY! LAME-O!" Someone shouted from behind Lincoln causing him to nearly jump a foot in to the air before he looked to see a Hispanic girl wearing a a short sleeved purple hoodie, black tank top that showed off her abs, and a pair of black skinny jeans.

"Ronnie Anne? What are you doing here?" Lincoln asked.

"My grandmother wanted to get out of the city. Apparently there's gonna be a trio of comets flying past Earth so she wanted to get away from all the light pollution. So Lori offered her a ride as an excuse to visit and I came along. " Ronnie Anne explained. "But enough about that. What's up with you? Look a million miles away." She said, Lincoln sighing.

"I've been having these weird dreams lately." Lincoln said before going in to the specifics of said dreams.

"Do you think that the woman in the dreams might be your..." Ronnie Anne began, Lincoln already having the same thought as her.

"It's possible. I've known that story my folks fed me and Clyde six years ago was a complete load. But I know how important it was to them." Lincoln said before he looked down to Ronnie Anne. "But let's not worry about that for right now. It's been a while since you've been in Royal Woods. So, I should definately treat you to some pizza at Gus'." He offered.

"Oh. So much better than any pizza that Great Lakes." Ronnie Anne gushed before she raised up her elbow. "Well then. Shall we?" She asked.

"We shall." Lincoln replied while taking Ronnie Anne's arm before the two of them began to walk.

(Meanwhile)

Inside of a room in a local retirement center, Al was looking out the window as he took a sip from a glass of bourbon.

"So where is Myrtle anyway?" A bald Hispanic man wearing a tweed jacket asked.

"Her annual trip back home to leave her parents some flowers." Al explained.

"Good fortune for both of you having her out of town for this." A woman in a navy dress and viridian apron said.

"That it is, Rosa." Al replied before turning to the woman. "So, is it ready?" He asked before Rosa placed a case on a nearby table.

"Time was, we could have done this ourselves. Now it has to be left to that grandson of yours." Rosa's husband said with a chuckle.

"Well, that's just the nature of time, Hector. The youngsters will always have to take over eventually. Still. Gotta respect the old school." Al said before he and the other two raised their glasses.

A short while later, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were walking out of Gus' Games and Grub, the former holding a pizza.

"I can still safely say that place has the best Pizza if five states." Ronnie Anne said smiling at how good her food was.

"My international adventure can confirm at least two countries that can't top it." Lincoln said before he heard something moving towards him and handed the pizza over to Ronnie Anne.

"UNCLE LINC!" Shouted a tan skinned girl with blonde hair clad in a blue shirt and green jacket before jumping on to Lincoln's back.

"Wait a sec. This can't Selma on my back. She's way too big." Lincoln said, gaining a giggle from the little girl. Just then, a blonde some in a cyan shirt and white pants and a man in a green flannel shirt and blue jeans came walking up.

"Hey, little bro. Good to see yah." The man said before walking up to Lincoln and giving him a hand clasp.

"Sorry about that, Lincoln. You know how she gets whenever she sees her favorite uncle." The woman said, taking the three year old from Lincoln.

"Don't worry about it, Lori. This little squirt, would have to put in a lot more effort to knock me down." Lincoln said with a laugh to his oldest sister, Lori Loud-Santiago. "So, Bobby. Ronnie Anne was telling me about some comets that will be coming around at the same time as an eclipse." He said.

"Yeah. We were all going to watch it by Fishman pond." Bobbie confirmed.

"Oh! Uncle Linc! Do you and Auntie Ron want to come and watch it with us!?" Selma asked her uncle in an excited tone.

"I'd be happy to. How about you, Ronnie Anne?" Lincoln asked.

"Sounds good to me. Let's go." Ronnie Anne said before they all began to walk, Lincoln stopping a moment after feeling a chill in the wind.

'What was that?' Lincoln asked himself before he looked to see the others moving before he shrugged and followed him.

A short while later, Lincoln and the others arrived at the pond where they sat down at a nearby tree.

"Oh good. We're here just in time." Bobby noted as the Lunar eclipse began. Moments later, the five were mesmerized at the site in the stars above them, Lincoln in particular looking all but hypnotized at what he saw.

Suddenly, Lincoln felt another chill on the wind.

'There it is again.' Lincoln thought before an instinct in him kicked in and he tackled the others to the ground.

"Lincoln! What are you..." Lori began to shout before her eyes widened at the tree they were sitting by had been shattered and in its place stood a massive inhuman creature with stitches all over its body, one eye on its mouthless head.

"You." The creature began as it pointed a skeletal finger at Lincoln. "I smell it. The blood. The blood... of SPARDA!" It shouted a before leaping at Lincoln before he jumped higher than he knew could to get over the creature. "Devouring you will give will make my power grow even further and the eyes of Mundus alone." It said before charging Lincoln before he rolled out of the way.

Just as the creature was about to continue its assault, Ronnie rushed it with a stick from the broken tree only to be grabbed by the face.

"Ronnie Anne!" Lincoln shouted as he went for a desperate punch in the back of the head only for it to vertically open and chomp down on and sever his arm at the elbow. An act that caused Selma to hide in her mothers shoulder in fear.

Lincoln was writhing in pain at the lost of his arm before he looked up to see Ronnie Anne looking down at him, more in fear for his safety than her own.

"Ah. I see. This human is important to you." The creature said, the sideways mouth on the back of its head smirking. "Then breaking her should break you." It laughed before he began to squeeze on to Ronnie Anne's head and caused her to let out a blood curdling scream.

Lincoln's pain gave way to panic and then in to rage at seeing Ronnie Anne in pain. His eyes then began to glow before the silhouettes of two winged horned figures appeared in a strait line behind him as a blue aura burned around him. He then leapt forward and slammed in to the creatures gut, making it throw Ronnie in the air and allowing him to jump and catch her before he quickly moved over to Bobby.

"Take her." Lincoln said in a serious tone as he handed Ronnie Anne over to her brother before he prepared to turn back to the creature before he heard the sound of an engine before he looked to see a bus arriving at the area before the door opened to reveal Al.

"LINCOLN! CATCH!" Al shouted before he tossed the case over to Lincoln's feet where it opened to reveal a large shaking sword with a red hilt and what appeared to be a a hand break.

Feeling a strange kind of connection with the weapon, Lincoln placed his hand above it where it seemed to jump in to his hand before he glared at the creature.

"Let's see who breaks who." Lincoln coldly said he stabbed the blade in to the ground and revved the hilt as if it were a bike handle, red heat coating the weapon before Lincoln charged forward.

The creature made an attempt to slam its hand down on to Lincoln only for him to slice its arm in half from the middle finger up. Enraged at the attack, the creature twisted its head around one hundred eighty degrees and opened its sideways mouth and tried to bite Lincoln only for him to use his sword to jam its mouth closed. He then twisted on the upper part of the hilt as a revving noise was heard and fire coated his weapon, making the creature scream in pain before falling the ground. The glow in Lincolns eyes then pulsed before he leapt up and slammed his sword down in to the creature's chest, the flames of his sword going in to it and burning it to ash.

The battle clearly over, Lincoln's eyes dimmed and his breathing became heavy before he dropped his sword and began to fall, Al moving to catch him.

"Is... Is he okay." Lori asked, having handed Selma off to Bobby to check on Lincoln.

"He's alright. It think he just wore himself out." Al said as he looked over Lincoln.

"Pop Pop, you gotta tell me what the hell is going on." Lori said, doing her best not to panic.

'Perfect choice of words right there.' Al thought before looking up to his granddaughter. "I will. But right now, we gotta get him home first." He said before picking Lincoln up, signaling for Lori to follow, the blonde woman struggling to carry Lincoln's weapon. 'Well. Looks like things are about get a lot more complicated.' Al thought as he carried his sleeping grandson to the bus.

(Meanwhile)

A fair bit away, a girl who seemed to be around Lincoln's age with pixie cut white hair, a red right eye, and blue left one clad in black skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a black jacket which was red on the inside and wrists and had a black union jack on the sleeves was surrounded by a decent amount of creatures with scythe blade's where there hands should have been.

"Seriously? Well, Dad warned me those eye things were gonna bring the small fries out of the woodwork." The girl said before reaching for her back. "Oh well. Come on, partner. Let's try to have some fun with this." She said as bolts of electricity formed in to a large sword with a demonic hilt appeared before she took in her hand. The girl then smirked before the circle of attackers rushed at her and she said "Let's party."
