DAY 1, 1400 HOURS

The young fox sat in her hiding place, waiting patiently for her targets to exit the cave she and her squad had led them into. The desert sun beat down on her navy-blue fur, but she paid it no mind. She had been trained and conditioned to endure much worse.

She thought back only briefly of the life she had led before joining her squad, a perfect little mama's girl...Until she and her brother had encountered the wrong people in the desert. Their vehicle had been looted, and they were taken prisoner, chained to the rocks in the desert...but she had risen above, escaped...Then pledged her complete loyalty to her leader.

It was just a shame that her brother never saw the light.

She shook her head as she re-focused on her target. She had new brothers now, even some sisters...She needed nothing else but the squad.

She saw shapes emerging from the cave, and quickly radioed her squad mates to get ready.

"-Come on, Jack! It's perfect!-" Cyber said, as she, Jack, and Raccoon walked towards the mouth of the cave they were in. Jack just shook his head. "I don't care what that girl at HQ said, we are NOT going to start calling ourselves Team Wolf!"

"-BUT IT FITS, JACK! It's marketable!-" Cyber pleaded. "And since when did we care about being marketable?" Jack asked, placing his hands on his hips. "-Well, if more people knew who we were, MAYBE we'd have better luck finding the other ECS Units?-" Cyber said, gesturing back to the cave. Jack sighed, admitting defeat. "I suppose we COULD do with less dead-ends in the future...But why Team Wolf? Wouldn't Team Cyber make more sense, given what we're looking for?"

"-Mmm...Team Wolf just sounds more marketable to me.-" Cyber responded, after much more thought. Turning to Raccoon, she signed to ask him what he thought. "I'm just ready to go home." Raccoon signed back. Jack gave a light chuckle as he put a hand around the bear's shoulder. "Right. Back home to more of those vegetarian recipes we've been trying out, huh? I saw a meatless taco recipe I want to try out the other day..."

Cyber gave a light chuckle as the three finally emerged from the entrance...But then had to put a hand on the wall to steady herself, as her limbs began to feel weak. "What's the matter, babe?" Jack asked, as he walked over to help her. Cyber attempted to respond, but the Badnik speech that came out of her "beak" was garbled and incoherent. Jack and Raccoon only had a moment to be concerned before a massive blast of some kind knocked all three off of their feet and completely out of the cave. As he tumbled, Jack felt all of the technology he carried with him begin to spark and short out, becoming useless in the process. He quickly turned his attention back to Cyber, who was arcing on her back as the sparking ravaged her cybernetics. She looked at Jack in terror as she screamed in garbled Badnik, before her mechanical eyes lost all power, and she fell unconscious.
