Naruto yawned as he entered his apartment, "I'm home," he said as he kicked off his geta, at the sound of his sandals clacking to the floor he was then greeted by his flatmate,

His flatmate being an angry black cat that had a few scars on her body and was now hissing at him,

"Easy Mukoro" he placated the cat, "I'm sorry I'm late, but I was out protecting the vil-," then she swiped at him, and hissed again for good measure,

Naruto moved his foot away from her paw and just took her glare,

Then he stepped over her and walked with a yawn into his kitchen, "A-again?" he asked, On his side sitting there open was an empty tuna can, Naruto turned back to Mukoro and crouched over her, "How do you do it?" he asked trying to pick her up,

But she was fast and jumped past him, and hissed again before walking into his living room,

"Keep being this smart and you'll start paying me rent," Naruto muttered cleaning up her mess, Next he made three drinks, the first was for him, a simple green tea, the third was a cup of Milk for Mukoro, the last was another green tea for Weasel,

Naruto left his bat in the kitchen to carry them, he saw Mukoro laying on the sofa with the remote under her paws as she somehow flipped through channels, he left her drink on the table and tried to pet her,

Again she hissed and glared at him,

He just sighed and continued to the small desk in the corner, upon this desk were few things, a cup with two un-lit incense sticks inside, some more incense was to the cups left, and behind it was a burnt Anbu Weasel mask on a stand,

Naruto laid one of the green tea's on the desk, and then lit the incense with some matches from a matchbox he carried in his pocket, he slid it shut and put it back in his pocket, next he removed a sheathed Tanto from his trousers, and unsheathed it, and placed it and it's sheath on the his desk, making sure it was on the right of the incense cup,

"Hey Weasel-Nii," he greeted the mask, "I uh," he smiled, "Had a weird encounter today," he said, starting to tell the mask about how he'd been hunting some enemy ninja and then Aishu Hebiko saved him, "she even had this diary," he said, "It's kinda funny, she acted like we were a coup-," he stopped, and shook his head, "naw not a couple, like she was my pet or something,"

"Hiss~"

"Not talking about you Mukoro," He said, "What's really funny about it though is she was so confidant about being my pet, like it was just a fact you know?" he stated,

He rubbed his chin, "Thing is she's pretty cute and I doubt I'm the only guy who sees it," he said finishing his own green tea, He placed the cup down, and bowed, "So I'm terrible at this but, ya got any advice bro? like I don't want the poor girl to get taken advantage of you know?"

"I've already figured to ask Ino about her tomorrow, maybe see if I can... I don't know. maybe talk to her? get her to chill out with all this pet play," Naruto suggested, "because a girl that cute and wild will no doubt have others fawning over her, and they ain't like me Nii-san,"

The sound of something falling over alerted Naruto, he shot to his feet and, sighed at the sight,

Mukoro was glaring at him, and had seemingly intentionally spilt her own drink,

"Why am I even surprised?" he asked, he walked over and removed his shirt, trying to make sure the milk didn't stain his table,

As he tried to clean Mukoro put her paws on his arm, trying to stop him,

"Please I'm tryna wipe your mess Mukoro," he pleaded,

But she continued trying to play with him,

Somehow he cleaned the stain up despite her and then joined her on the sofa like usual, as he sat down Mukuro placed her head on his leg and purred,

Naruto just sighed, "You're lucky you're cute," he said as he rubbed her belly,

Mukoro was a strange cat, he'd found her in an alley once and brought her home, and since then he started to wonder just how smart she was,

Often he'd mention being out of something, like once they were out of milk, and he sadly told her she wouldn't have any milk in the morning, he slept, and when he woke she'd somehow taken some of his money and brought some from the shop,

Other times when he fell asleep he'd often wake up and find she'd draped a quilt over him and then jumped inside it while he slept,

Or left the tv on, once he'd even found her watching porn, she just looked at him, and then back at the screen, and then ignored him,

Also she knew, even when you didn't use her name, when you were talking about her,

She also hated being called a pet, but he figured that was because she was so smart, she felt that she wasn't a pet,

He didn't mind though, he liked his smart kitty, paritualy because he hated going to the store first thing in the morning,

Ino had met her once, she felt that Mukoro was way too smart for a cat, told him to try and give her to someone else,

He refused, sure she hated when he came home late, hissed at him for no reason, and seemed to appear in rooms at will, but she was the only company he really kept besides Ino and his bat,

Also he figured if he ever tried he'd wake to see her stood on his chest glaring down at him,

Actually, he turned to her, "Already tried asking a ghost to help," he muttered, "Hey Mukoro?"

She turned to him,

"You heard what I was talking to Weasel about right?" Mukoro seemed to nod, "What do you think I should do about Aishu?" he asked scratching her ear, "Like she seems happy enough just pretending," he said, "I mean If Ino says she's dangerous then that's that, yeah?" he stated, "But like," he let out a breath, "if she's harmless what should I do?" he smiled and asked, "Bring her here and let her be my faithful doggy?"

He looked at his cat, expecting an answer, she rolled her eyes and nuzzled into his leg, "Guess you don't care?" he asked, "Well that's good, guess I've got the option for an actual pet eh?"

Mukoro snorted and then shut her eyes, Naruto yawned again, "Yeah, Guess it's bedtime eh gir-,"

He turned to see Mukoro now scratching at his bedroom door,

"Guess you were ready for bed anyway," he said, Naruto did a quick check of his house, made sure the lit incense wouldn't burn his home while he slept, grabbed his bat and then entered his room, he undressed and put on some comfy pants and yawned again, then he laid on the soft tatami mat he used as a bed, fluffed his pillow a few times and laid down, as he did Mukoro laid partially on his chest so she could hear his heartbeat,

After Naruto had fallen asleep Mukoro opened her eyes and walked out from under the covers, she walked over to the open curtains and leapt into the windowsil, she sat and stared out at a nearby tree, sitting on one of the branches was a lavender haired girl who glared at the cat,

Mukoro glared back at her, and then shook her head and closed the curtains with her mouth before she returned to her bed, snuggling up to the still sleeping blonde,

The next day Naruto rose as he always did, got dressed, grabbed his bat and knife, before he left the house,

Today it seemed like Mukoro wanted to go with him, he'd told her he was just going to the store and then to the academy, but she seemed determined to go with him today, he shrugged and payed her no mind when she seemed to glare at a nearby tree,

They left the house and went to the store, Naruto knew what he'd need to keep Ino on track and thus picked up a pack of three chocolate Bonbons, they were usually what he considered too expensive, but Ino loved them, having them was almost a necessity when talking to the girl loving gossip,

Sure, she and he were old friends, but he'd still feel better with a bribe, it's like Weasel used to tell him, when you want something, offer something the person would want,

He found it strange that Mukoro never wandered off like she usually did, and instead followed him all the way to the academy,

When he got there the first thing he did was find Ino, she was sat outside trying to make a flower crown,

When the scarred black kitty approached her she smiled at it, "Hey Mukoro," she said, "Does your pet need help in class?" she joked,

"Mew," Mukoro seemed to nod,

As a shadow covered Ino she looked up and said, "I tell you you're cat is way too smart to be a simple kitty," she said scratching the cat's cheek, "But you don't listen to me do you Naruto?"

"Very few people actually wanna live in my apartment with me Ino," Naruto stated,

'If only you knew,' she thought with a smile, seeing quite a few of his shadows behind him,

"Anyway I need your help," he said sitting down in front of her,

"In what way?" Ino asked focusing on her crown again,

"Aishu Hebiko," Naruto said holding up the bonbons,

Ino smiled, "Weeeell," she tossed the crown snatched the package and opened it, "Since you ask so nicely," she smiled before she ate one, "Mmm, just the ones I like" she commented, "What do you know?" she asked,

"I talked to her last night, she saved my ass and now I'm worried for her,"

"Don't be," Ino stated, "She's a pervert, but harmless,"

Naruto let out a sigh of relief, "Good, I'm-,"

"Mostly anyway," Ino said already starting on the second bonbon, putting the last one away for later, "As I'm sure you're aware of already, she's quite skilled with her twin knives, but she's kind and sweet, wouldn't hurt you, if the ''you'' in question wasn't say a murderer who was about to kill,"

"Right I figured that," he nodded,

"Why are you bothered though?" Ino asked sucking her fingers clean, "Cute girl, can fight, wants to be your pet, what's wrong with that?"

"Nothing, the fact she carries a book around of fanfiction and briefly forgot it was fanfiction on the other hand,"

"Which again, you don't actually care about," Ino stated, "Wait here," she said as she walked off,

Naruto followed her with his eyes, though he himself stayed where he was,

he watched as Ino walked over to the gate and waited, there a few students came through, but Ino just waited for one of them,

"Hey Aishu," she said with a smile,

"Oh, hi Ino," the green haired girl smiled back,

"I was just wondering, you know Naruto right?"

Aishu blushed, "Y-yeah," she said,

"Great, it's just," Ino sighed, "I can't remember... what is your relationship with him again?"

Naruto was confused, he had no idea what Ino was doing,

Until, "I'm his faithful doggy!" Aishu stated proudly, in front of tons of students, loud enough for Naruto to hear even though he was far away,

"Really?" Ino asked, "Well he's sure a lucky man," she said,

Aishu blushed, "Thanks Ino, is that all though? I wanna get to class quick, my feet are killing me,"

"Go ahead," Ino said stepping aside,

"Thanks Ino," Aishu said as she ran inside,

Ino calmly walked back over to Naruto, "and there you have it," she said sitting across from him again, "She doesn't care who knows, and most people already do, she's a little weird, but not a monster or anything,"

"So no point in helping her then?" Naruto asked,

"What's to help?" Ino asked, "She has fantasies, most people do, she's a little more smitten with hers then most people are, and maybe in part she genuinely believes that she's your dog," Ino frowned at him, "You know who that hurts?" she asked, "The people like me who want to fantasise about getting under her skirt, because it's harder to fantasise about her when at most we've only heard her say ''I'm Naruto Uzumaki's faithful dog''," Ino said with a yawn,

Then she leaned back, "Other things I know about her are, she considered one of three un-dateable girls, because again she likes thinking that she's your dog, she's a new resident of Konoha with her family, and she has a very cute birthmark on her back,"

"That can't be all you know," he stated,

"It isn't," Ino said plucking some grass, "But, she doesn't want anyone to know about certain things, and as a girl who loves girls, I am silent," she stated blowing the strands away,

"You know I don't give secrets like that away, not for bonbons, money, or threats," Ino stated, "Not that you'd threaten me of course,"

"Right," Naruto stood up, "And this beast art, where's that on the scale?"

Ino frowned, "The only way you'll ever know, is by enabling her fantasies," then she grabbed his shirt and pulled him forward, "In her book you reacted really bad to it, so bad she ripped the page out and burned it, so if you do something stupid like refuse to tell her she's beautiful for three seconds causing her to panic I'll tell Satsuki you molested me and she'll whoop your ass up and down the leaf, get me?"

She pushed him back and crossed her arms, "get me?" she asked much louder,

"Got it, don't be stupid," Naruto said with a nod,

Ino studied him, "Normally I'd worry," then she scratched Mukoro's cheek, "but he's got you to think for him today, hasn't he?" she cooed,

"Mew~" Mukoro nodded,

"Good Kitty," She smiled, then she pointed at Naruto, "Pay attention to your master, pet!" she ordered,

"Yeah yeah," He said with a groan as he started to walk off,

Ino watched as he walked away, "...Th-," she stopped,

"Something wrong Ino?" he asked looking over his shoulder at her,

Ino bit her lip, 'Shit, I shouldn't have said anything, but... I have already right?' Ino took a breath, and thought, 'Now's my only chance to back out,' she looked at Naruto, he'd already turned around to face her,

Ino sighed, 'I shouldn't... but,' she nodded to herself, "Thing is," she started, "have you... noticed anyone following you lately?"

"Course not," Naruto said,

'Of course he hasn't noticed anything, stupid asshole' she thought, she took a deep breath, "There's this rumor going out about you is all," she stated, "When was the last time you saw your landlord?"

Naruto rubbed his chin, "Now that you mention it... not for a good while," he said,

"How about your neighbours?"

"Think I saw this old couple moving out last week?" he answered, "It's kinda funny, but it's been real quiet around my complex for a while," then his eyes widened, "But... the last I heard, some ghost has been spotted in that tree outside the apartment building," he rubbed his head, "Maybe the rumors scared them all off?"

Ino nodded, 'Least he's aware of that I guess,' though she felt conflicted, she knew the reason why he hadn't seen anyone in a while, should she tell him?

"What about Aishu?" Ino asked, "What are you thinking about doing with her?"

Naruto raised an eyebrow at that, "How do you mean?"

"Well if you go through with becoming her master she'll likely try to live in your apartment, wearing her ears and tail proudly," Ino said, "Are you prepared for that?"

"..." Naruto rubbed his chin, "man, hadn't thought of it honestly,"

"Well think about it, since she's met you last night she's going to approach you soon," Ino stated,

"I. . . guess that makes sense," Naruto stated,

"So you're not completely stupid," she said, "well good luck Mukoro,"

"Why are you wishing her good luck?"

"Cause she has to keep you on the right track," Ino responded, then she walked past him, "Seriously though be careful with Hebiko, or else" she warned,

Naruto was about to answer her, but a tight grip on his shoulder and the way Ino's eyes sparked told him he was in trouble, "Bothering Ino again eh perv?" a haughty voice asked,

Naruto turned back to see his rival, Satsuki Uchiha, she and he were so different, he was a punk who stumbled to school in whatever he had that didn't stink, she only wore fancy clothes that looked they they were handmade for royalty in mind, her dark raven hair, long and fluffy yet flowy, no her entire body radiated her royal aura,

"I needed advice Satsuki," Naruto said,

Satsuki frowned, "Really?" she asked, she turned to Ino and with a gentle smile that no doubt melted Ino's girl crazy heart said, "Is this true?"

Ino practically melted, "Yes ma'am I would love to date yo-," she shook her head, "I mean, he...," she looked at Naruto, "Have you seen his cat?" she asked pointing at Mukoro,

"A cat?" Satsuki asked, she turned back to Naruto, "and I'm sure you know cats aren't allowed he-," a gentle meow drew Satsuki's attention down to the ground, Mukoro stared up at the girl, ". . . ." Satsuki's eyes slowly grew and then, she snatched up Mukoro, "Ooh aren't you just a little sweetheart?" she cooed,

Mukoro hissed and leapt from her arms, somehow she reached Naruto and ran up his arm perching on the back of his neck, and settled in glaring at Satsuki,

"Wh-what?" Satsuki asked, "You prefer him to me?" she asked falling to her hands and knees,

"Actually," Naruto said, "She just hates being treated like a pet, though if it makes you feel better she usually bites people that pick her up,"

"Really!" Satsuki asked jumping back to her feet, then she realised how close she was to Naruto, and growled, "Move back perv!" he sighed, but did so, "Better," she said flipping her hair, "but really?" she asked excitedly,

"Yep, just ask Ino," Naruto said, "I'd better get to class," he said walking off,

Satsuki grabbed Ino, "Tell me everything you know about that kitty,"

Ino took her phone out, "S-sure just lemme text someone something first,"

Naruto received a message thanking him from his fellow blonde,

As Naruto walked towards class he reliased a lavender haired girl was walking towards him,

Then Mukoro bit his shoulder, "Ow!" Naruto cried in pain, he turned to his cat, who he tried glaring at, but she gave him sad eyes and a yawn,

"Tired eh?" he asked with a sigh, "better get you to class,"

The Lavender haired girl glared at Mukoro, who glared right back,

"Smart move kitty," the girl spat,

When Naruto got into his class he took a seat in the back, and let Mukoro onto the desk,

"So you have a kitty too?" asked a voice from beside him,

"Not really," Naruto said, "It's more like she's has a human," Mukoro nodded at his statement,

"But you never mentioned having a kitty before,"

Naruto turned, he'd sat next to Aishu, who pouted at him,

"Isn't that cause we've never really spoken?" he asked, to which she pulled out the book again, "Right, hey question,"

"Yes master?" she asked all too happily,

"You're my what again?" he asked,

"I'm your faithful doggy," Aishu beamed proudly, Then she rubbed Mukoro's head, "You having having a cat works well for me, since now I have someone else to serve," she smiled, then she lowered her head to Mukoro's level, "Yesterday I saved him," she smiled,

Naruto wasn't even surprised that Mukoro walked over to Aishu and began petting her head, "Is Mukoro telling me I'm a good doggy?"

"Probably," Naruto stated,

Just then the doors shot open, and inside walked Anko Mitarashi, "Listen everyone, Miss Mitarashi's probation is almost over," she said happily, "so don't piss her off so she gets yet another month dealing with your crap, okay?" she asked cheerily, then she glared through her eyeglasses right at him, "Kay pumpkin?" then her glasses shined and she shot forward to where he sat, "Is that a cat?" she asked,

Naruto turned to her, "Do you care?"

Anko grinned, "I don't know," she smirked leaning down to him exposing a lot of her cleavage to him, "What'll you give me if I don't care?"

Naruto sighed, "What do you want?"

Anko's smirk grew wider, "Well, your kind, amazing, sexy, and single sensei's fridge could use a booze run," she said patting him on the cheek, "Unless you want your pet removed from the school?"

Naruto sighed, Aishu's eyes lit up and she hugged Naruto, "Master don't let her kick me out of school,"

"Eh?" Anko gasped, "You're into that?" she asked, then her smirk grew wider, "Better make that, booze and dango," she took a list out of her pocket and handed it to him,

Naruto wasn't even surprised that it was a list that was designed for him, even having a time for him to bring her stuff over to her house,

He gave her a glance, "You planned this didn't you?"

Anko grinned and rubbed his head, "Sure did, bring it on time jerk bag,"

'And she's wondering why she's constantly on probation,' Naruto, and the rest of the class thought,

"Well remember you're busy tonight so don't go getting any dates, okay? master," Anko drew closer to him and purred the last word into his ear with a wink,

"Yeah yeah," Naruto said waving her off,

"Good boy," Anko said pinching his cheek, "See you tonight," she said walking away to actually start her duties,

Aishu rubbed her head into Naruto's arm, "Thanks for saving me master,"

Naruto rubbed her head, but whispered to Mukoro "Thanks for not clawing her face off,"

Mukoro gave him a look like 'Well I'm not as stupid as you am I dumbass?'

Naruto stared at her for a second, "You're insulting me, I don't know how, or why, but I'm sure that you are," he stated,

Mukoro yawned and laid down, Naruto just rubbed her head, "Smart kitty,"

Class passed quick enough for Naruto, and at dinner he went to his usual spot on the roof, up there was a sofa he'd tossed up at some point just to see if he could,

Unknown to Naruto this very spot was actually considered to any veteran ninja to be the most dangerous spot in Konoha, usually when he was asleep on the sofa, the various stalkers, daydreamers, and other assortment of dangerous young women who drooled over him would sit and watch him,

Sometimes they'd come close to war, but they'd fight carefully and quietly so as not to wake him,

Naruto walked over to the sofa, sat down, leaned his bat against his leg and yawned, "Time to na-,"

Then Mukoro sat on his leg, "Mew~"

"What?" he asked,

"I think the master's master is hungry," Aishu said from the spot next to him,

"Oh," he looked down at Mukoro, "Sucks, I don't have any food,"

"Here," Aishu smiled handing him a bento, "I made it for my master last night," she then put one in front of Mukoro, "I made two for master, so you can have his spare,"

"You made two?" Naruto asked, "Why?"

Aishu blushed, "Last time I made you only one, you ate it off my naked body," she said holding her cheeks, "It was so much fun"

"Right, well thanks Aishu," he said,

Aishu blushed deeply, "Of course master, your faithful doggy will continue to bring you and Mukoro great food," she smiled, "But does Mukoro need any hel-," Aishu looked at the kitty that had somehow opened her bento box, pushed aside the chopsticks, and put her face into the food, "That cat is insanely smart," she muttered,

"You'll get used to it," Naruto stated as he started eating his own bento,

Aishu smiled at him, "Is it yummy master?"

He smiled, "Yeah, it's really good,"

Aishu leaned her head over to him, "Please praise me master," she smiled, Naruto looked at her for a second, then started rubbing her head, Aishu giggled happily, "Yay~" she cheered,

"Why do you like being treated like a dog?" he asked,

"I just do," she smiled taking out her own bento box,

"So..." he said, "Your beast art,"

"Off limits!" she stated,

Naruto sighed, "So you still don't wanna tell me eh?"

Aishu frowned, "Last time the master chided me for being so un-cute, it broke my heart and I cried, he told me to never show him her beastly ugly form again," she stated,

"He sounds like a pussy," Naruto stated, Mukoro mewing in agreement

"Eh?!" Aishu cried, "But he is yo-,"

"Aishu," Naruto started, interrupting her, "I'll make you a deal," he said, Mukoro jumped off his legs and he stood up, "I wanna see your beast form, so hows about this, you show me, and if I react badly I'll let you be my pet at my home for a month," he shook his head, "No, a year,"

"Wh-what?" she asked,

"Further more," he stated, "We'll spend that time enacting any fantasy you have in your book,"

"REALLY!?" Aishu asked happily,

Naruto nodded, "But... If i react positively" then... he grinned at her, "I'll surprise you,"

"I'll do it!" Aishu cheered, "but," she blushed, "Step back please,"

Naruto and Mukoro took a few feet back, and Aishu took a deep breath, "Henshin a go-go baby!" She did acute spin and then her legs split and changed into tentacles, "My beast form is so un-cute," she chided herself,

Naruto looked. . . confused, "So your an Octopus?" he asked,

"No I'm a doggy!"

"So cool!" He grinned giving her thumbs up, "Octopi are so cool," he grinned, "does this mean you're venomous?" he asked poking one of her appendages,

"No that's the blue ringed ones," she stated,

"Actually," Naruto said, "All Octopi are venomous, but the blue ringed variants are simply the most venomous,"

"C-can you stop poking my tentacle?" she asked her face extremely red,

"That's another misconception," Naruto chided lifting her tentacle up, "An Octopi's appendages are called arms, not tentacles," he said,

"H-how do you know so much about Octopi?" she asked,

"They're a very interesting species of Mollusk," Naruto stated putting her ar- nah I'm still gonna call it a tentacle, that way you guys aren't curious as to what I mean, ahem, putting her tentacle back on the floor, "Well since I reacted positively I guess it's my win,"

Aishu frowned, she was really excited to-,

"You and I'll be living together from now on, my little pet," Naruto stated,

Mukoro nodded, and purred as she rubbed against Aishu's tentacles, having finished her food, "R-really?" she asked happily, "Wait, but I thought I'd only live with you if you didn't like my beast art,"

"No then you'd only live with me for a year, because then we wouldn't be compatible, and it would be an apology to you since I reacted too bad to you in reality and your fantasy," Naruto stated, "but since I didn't you can live with me,"

"Then if you'll excuse me for a moment," Aishu wrapped her tentacles around like a spring and launched herself into the air, "YES MY MASTER ACCEPTS ME, EVEN MY BEAST FORM!"

When she landed back on the ground Naruto had already sat back on the sofa and continued eating the bento she'd made for him, "This really is good," he said,

"I'm so happy," she smiled, "My master wants me to live with him and he knows so much about me and loves my cooking, I'm such a happy doggy," she grinned,

"Technically I know a lot about Octopi, not really a lot about you," Naruto said,

"Actually, why do you know a lot about Octopi?" Aishu asked,

"Oh," Naruto stopped eating and looked up into the air, "Well, I was reading this manga once, it was about this man who wandered into the cave of this octopus woman and then they had sex," he said honestly, "It was pretty hot, but it also made me wanna figure out what octopi are," and then he continued eating,

Aishu blushed much harder, "You th-thought it was hot?" she asked as her body changed back to normal, "S-so you'd want to do... that kinda stuff with me... even in my other form?"

"Hell yeah," he said with a nod,

"So honest!" Aishu said,

Naruto yawned, "Well Aishu you'd better finish your food so we can get back to class,"

She raised her hand, "Can I eat it off the floor with my bum in the air while you look up my skirt?"

"Maybe later," he said tiredly, "best to just eat it for now,"

The rest of the school day passed uneventfully, and then He and Aishu went separate ways home, with her saying she wanted to get some things before going to live with him,

Naruto went back to his apartment, and though he missed the pale skinned and dark haired woman standing in his window, Mukoro did not,

However when he got home nobody was in his apartment, Mukoro yawned and wandered into the room,

"Mmm?" Naruto's eyes went to Weasel's shrine, "Hey, Weasel got his drink," he said taking the now empty cup into the kitchen,

Mukoro just rolled her eyes, "Maybe I should make him some noodles?" Naruto asked, "What if he's hungry on the other side?"
